Youtube daily report Oct 11 2017

We will make rice with chicken and shrimps.

Look how delicious and how easy it is to make.

Well, we will begin.

we will add olive oil in a pan.

The first thing I will do is to cook the rice separate.

I will add mixed vegetables.

Half cup of it. These are frozen vegetables.

You can buy them at super markets.

These vegetables are soft and you cook them rapidly.

I will use long grain rice.

We will put it a cup.

Two cups of rice.

Now, I do not like to rinse the rice for ten times.

Some people do that.

Not me. I will use two cups of rice in the pan.

We stir everything.

In the old days, people used to rinse the rice

Because the rice used to be dirty...

But, time has changed.

We had some salt.

Ukrainian Food Review - 5 traditional dishes to eat in Lviv, Ukraine - Duration: 10:45.

Alright guys, it is lunchtime here in Lviv (Львів) and we tried to find the most

traditional Ukrainian restaurant that we could and that is how we ended up at Seven Piggies

(Сім поросят) and yeah I can tell you taxidermy is really popular.

Lots of stuffed animals.

There is like beavers and squirrels and owls.

Um, it is very colorful.

It is all white walls but is is like decorated with these bright flowers.

So yeah, it is super cool.

We're the only ones here and our food has arrived.

Okay.

Banosh (Банош).

So Sam neglected to tell me the waitress was standing next to me while I'm rambling on

camera.

That was awesome.

Anyways look at you carrying on like a pro.

She brought us something called Banusz and I believe this is some kind of sheep's cheese

(brynza) with like looks like bacon so I'm just going to try it on bread.

I'm not entirely sure how you're supposed to eat this.

Yeah, we got a bread basket.

But you know bread and cheese seems like a pretty good idea so let's go for it.

Oh, and isn't it egg.

Yeah, it is egg.

Egg, sheep's cheese and this looks like some kind of bacon.

Mmmm.

Is it tasty?

That is quite nice.

Our first time to try it.

I feel like I could eat this on its own.

I don't even need the bread.

Try a bite on its own.

Mmmm.

Good stuff.

First time having this.

Sam with the fancy waterwheel right behind him.

Alright, time to try this.

Banosh (Банош).

I'm going to have a nice big bite.

And it is kind of like divided into layers.

Like over here you have the cheese and then you have the egg and then the sprinkled bacon

bits.

Yeah.

So I've tried to get a bit of everything on here.

It kind of looks like a fluffy omelette.

Yeah.

First bite.

Mmmm.

Isn't that good.

Oh my gosh that is awesome.

That is better than an omelette.

Yeah.

And I like how crunchy the bacon is.

Mmmhmm.

It is really that is the first thing I taste and then the cheese is really nice.

The salty cheese and then with the egg.

It kind of reminds me a bit of a premium omelette or something.

Alright, and we also ordered wine.

And we got a bread basket.

And yeah, usually I found when you order a bread baskets here in Ukraine (Україна)

you get both brown and white bread which is cool.

Yeah.

But you know what mistake we made?

What?

We pointed at the cheaper price for the wine and it turns out it is only 50 ml of wine.

Oh yeah, look at that.

It is really small.

I haven't even touched it yet.

We need like half a liter between us.

This is a taste.

Well we do in all fairness we do have to do a lot of filming today so yeah.

So we shouldn't be having too much.

But anyways we got a Cabernet it is made from the Ukraine and most of the wine from Ukraine

apparently comes from Odessa so I'm guessing this might be from Odessa.

Also really popular wines that you can order at restaurants in Ukraine (Україна)

include Georgian and Moldovan wine but we decided to go for something super local made

in the country.

It smells good.

Mmm.

it is pretty good.

That is a decent dry red yeah.

Yeah, it kind of has a cherry taste to it.

Oh, look at him getting fancy.

Let's try the brown bread.

No butter so I'm just going to take a bite.

You should use the banosh (Банош).

It is pretty good with bread.

Yeah, I think I'll do that.

That is nice.

It is nice having it as an accompanying side dish.

I believe we've ordered something called Kremslyky (КРЕМЗЛИКИ В ГЛЕЧИКУ) and

I need to break this baby.

I can't actually lift the bread off so we're going to have to break it.

It is like they cooked the bread over the ceramic bowl.

Okay, so now that we've managed to break all the bread off.

So in here we've got some pork.

We have potato pancakes (КРЕМЗЛИКИ В ГЛЕЧИКУ) . We have this like creamy

sauce with dill and carrots and garlic and it all looks really really good.

Let's go in for some pancake.

I've really been enjoying these like fried pancakes with like savory mushroom sauces

on top.

It has been so good.

Yeah, we haven't shown them before in videos but we've been eating them a lot just kind

of our own.

That is so hot.

Yeah, I mean it is piping hot it fogged up the lens so.

It is good though?

But it is so creamy.

It is good.

So creamy and yummy?

This is one of my favorites.

He's fishing something out.

Yeah, oh my gosh it is so hot.

I can feel the heat.

I'm just going to try mine with a little bit of bread.

First I'm going to blow on it.

That is one of my favorite things to eat here in Ukraine for sure.

Oh yeah.

I've now had it about 3 or 4 times and it is dish now that whenever we go out and order

like traditional Ukrainian food (українська кухня).

It is a stample.

We have to get that one.

The pancakes.

This is so nice.

It is that sauce that makes it.

So moving on to the main.

The meat dish.

The meat dish.

What did you get?

Well, this meal is kind of the classic case of us our eyes being a little bit bigger than

our stomachs because this thing is huge.

This apparently is the house specialty.

They have actually named this dish after the restaurant and it is the 7 pigs and it is

a huge pork leg (ГОМІЛОЧКА "СІМ ПОРОСЯТ").

It appears like they have like a cheese or melted cheese.

Melted cheese sauce and I'm just going to like carve off a huge.

That looks good.

Look how big that is.

Oh man, the meat looks so tender.

It does.

It looks really tender.

So I'm going to get some sauce on that and take a huge bite.

Ooh.

My gosh that is such nice meat.

So tender and actually it is not a cheese sauce it is a mustard sauce.

Oh, it has got a kick to it.

Yeah.

Totally different than what I thought.

Alright, let's do this.

Going to grab some meat.

I also want to get a bit of skin.

Try to get some of the skin because it is really nice and some of the sauce.

And make sure you get some of the mustard sauce.

A little bit of everything in one bite.

Oh my gosh I know this looks messy but it actually looks more appetizing.

It reminds me of roast chicken where you keep the skin on it but of course it is with pork.

Mmmm.

Isn't that good?

Yeah.

Oh my gosh.

The meat is quite tender like it reminds me of pulled pork a little bit.

Yeah, it has that kind of texture.

Mmm.

And the mustard, I mean it has got some kick but also a bit of sweetness to it as well.

It really balances out.

This is really good.

It is tasty.

Mmmhmm.

Oh my gosh and we still have another dish and dessert coming.

Like and we're getting animalistic.

Oh boy.

So another side dish we ordered is Varenyky (ПЕЛЬМЕНІ "ВІД ВУЙКА КОЦЬО")

which are the dumplings but these ones are black.

Yeah.

So we haven't had this before.

It looked interesting.

Yeah, we've never tried the black dumplings (ПЕЛЬМЕНІ "ВІД ВУЙКА КОЦЬО").

All I know is that they are stuffed with pork and veal.

There you have it.

Oh, that looks good.

Mmmm.

Nice?

That is quite good.

But we have no idea why they're black.

How did they make them black?

The only black food I've had before used squid ink.

Squid ink.

I called it ink squid.

Squid ink.

But I don't know if they'd put squid ink.

Yeah, good question with a pork and veal dish.

But yeah, help us solve this mystery guys if you know.

Oh, they are quite dense.

Yeah, they are heavy.

They look heavy.

The meat is heavy.

Mmmm.

Oh wow.

Those are really different than the ones we've tried before.

Yeah.

We've mostly had potato and cheese ones but this is like just entirely meat.

They are denser for sure.

Yeah, do you know what?

These ones almost look like they've been steamed instead of boiled.

Yeah, I think they may have.

Yeah.

They're really good.

They remind me a little bit of dim sum.

I was just thinking that.

Yeah.

Wow.

Seriously.

Tasty though.

All we need is some soy sauce and a pair of chopsticks.

Haha.

Bring out the sour cream.

There you go.

Well, thankfully dessert is a smaller portion than everything else because yeah we're stuffed.

We're stuffed.

And this is like a Ukrainian cake style of cheesecake (ТОРТ "СИРНИК").

And it has got like a chocolate topping and I think I've been able to see what might potentially

be dried pieces of fruit in the middle.

I think on the other side.

Yeah, I think I actually have one in my bite.

Well there you go.

Raisins.

Raisin.

Mmmm.

Cheesecake with raisins.

Mmmm.

That is so good.

Because like this is just like pure cheesecake.

There isn't really a bottom layer.

It is just pure dense thick cheesecake (ТОРТ "СИРНИК").

Just the way I like it.

Uh huh huh.

So I can of feel at this point the meal has sort of turning into a challenge.

Oh my gosh.

A challenge meal.

We're so full.

But this is like an endurance sport.

I always have room for cheesecake though.

We need to start ordering less.

That is the problem.

Haha.

Mmmm.

Dense huh?

Is there a bit of alcohol in there?

It could be.

It could be.

I wonder if those raisins have been soaked in rum soaked raisins in like vodka or something.

Haha.

I taste a little something something.

Gay Man's Journey To Acceptance: "I'm Muslim. I'm Gay. And I'm Totally Okay With That." - Duration: 6:18.

My name is Tolga and I'm from Malatya, Turkey.

It's a small, conservative town and we are all raised conservative as well.

I remember every time I was going to school, some of my friends, they were talking about

the girls that they saw in their dreams and all that as we were growing up.

I was always feeling left out because - and questioning, because - I never saw a girl

in my dream.

I was seeing guys.

And it made my utterly uncomfortable as well because, number one, I cannot share that with

anybody, and number two, it was not okay for me either.

I moved to New York City when I was 19 for college and the feeling were still inside.

And I was not happy about it because, not only I wanted answers, but also I did not

want to associate myself with being gay.

I assumed that it was just an urge and once I experienced that, I told myself that that

feeling is going to be gone.

So I picked up a Village Voice magazine on the way to school.

And on the back pages, I chose the right ad for my taste, I would say.

I called the number from a pay phone and I was very polite and diplomatic, actually.

I dialed the number and I was like, "Hello.

Good evening."

And the guy responds, "Yo, where you at?"

And I was like, "Excuse me.

I would like to make an appointment please."

The person gave me the address and the time where to meet up.

So I went back home.

I took a long shower.

I did take care of myself very well.

I did my hair super well.

I put cologne on and a very nice outfit as well, as though I were going on a super important

date.

So I got over to his place and I was turned off already as soon as I saw him because he

was wearing shorts and a tanktop and the house was messy, so I wasn't feeling anything

to begin with.

I laid down and after having an initial talk, I already told him that I was inexperienced

and wanted to know more about it.

He literally just got down to business.

He was right in front of me and he took off his clothes.

He asked me if he put two condoms on.

It ignited panic in me again because, wait, right in business and I'm not sure if that's

what I wanted or I don't know what I wanted.

He was just about to make a move to get inside.

I actually told him to please step back.

Then, of course, he asked me if everything was okay and all, so I told him that it had

nothing to do with him.

I was just not feeling it.

As I was about to leave, actually, he, I think he got the idea that he thought that I was

going to move on, so he actually told me that this is something that is going to stay with

me so I should embrace it any time soon.

I can't run away from it.

I was so infuriated by it, so I ran crazy and I just was lost.

The urge didn't go away but the questions were still there so it was truly infuriating.

I still had to find out more.

I came across with Gay.com.

One day, I ended up chatting with this guy from Texas called Justin.

The conversation went very well and he said that he wanted to meet me.

I was very excited about it because he was very attractive, beautiful, and for me, he

was like a Greek God.

The time comes and we meet and things were so smooth and so friendly and genuine and

sincere.

I went over to his place and we ended up watching "iRobot."

Then he laid down and put his head on my lap.

As we were continuing on the movie, he gives me a look and he says, "Can I kiss you?"

I paused but with a shy look on my face and I say, "Sure."

As if he was reading my mind, he was telling me it was okay not to know anything and it's

okay if something makes me uncomfortable.

He gave me the right to stop him, even.

It was one of the most romantic experiences I ever had.

That was the night that I did lose my virginity.

I was in the beginning of my path.

Apparently he wasn't.

Obviously.

It was so much on him to take as well.

So it didn't work out.

Then I met another person.

Kelly.

I think the initial meeting with Kelly, in my head, was a date.

We had a very good date.

We went to a restaurant.

We had a few talks.

There was nothing about sexuality or anything.

It was just a smooth hangout.

He was very respectful.

He took me home and he went back to his home.

As the time goes on, he didn't make a move on me and neither did I.

Something happened in me that I realized that this is just exactly what I need right now.

What I needed was a friend and he was the friend I was provided.

Having questions is actually the beginning of the stage, which means you are aware that

there are things that need to be answered.

Now looking where I am today, I can say wholeheartedly that I am Muslim and I'm gay and I'm totally

okay with that.

It's totally okay to keep your belief system as well as your own identity together in peace

and continue your own life, and I'm the living example of it.

Alright guys, it is lunchtime here in Lviv (Львів) and we tried to find the most

traditional Ukrainian restaurant that we could and that is how we ended up at Seven Piggies

(Сім поросят) and yeah I can tell you taxidermy is really popular.

Lots of stuffed animals.

There is like beavers and squirrels and owls.

Um, it is very colorful.

It is all white walls but is is like decorated with these bright flowers.

So yeah, it is super cool.

We're the only ones here and our food has arrived.

So Sam neglected to tell me the waitress was standing next to me while I'm rambling on

camera.

That was awesome.

Anyways look at you carrying on like a pro.

She brought us something called Banusz and I believe this is some kind of sheep's cheese

(brynza) with like looks like bacon so I'm just going to try it on bread.

I'm not entirely sure how you're supposed to eat this.

Yeah, we got a bread basket.

But you know bread and cheese seems like a pretty good idea so let's go for it.

Oh, and isn't it egg.

include Georgian and Moldovan wine but we decided to go for something super local made

in the country.

It appears like they have like a cheese or melted cheese.

Melted cheese sauce and I'm just going to like carve off a huge.

All I know is that they are stuffed with pork and veal.

Hello friends welcome to "Madras Samayal"

Today lets see how to make Maida Biscuit

Kids will definitely love this recipe.

We need just few ingredients for making this recipe

This Maida biscuit recipe is very simple to make.

First lets powder the sugar

I have taken 1/2 cup of sugar (100 g)

For 1/2 cup sugar I have taken 1.5 cup Maida

Grind it to a fine powder

Now lets combine everything together

1.5 cup Maida (All purpose flour )

1/2 cup Sugar

We can adjust the sweetness to suit our taste

Add in 3 tbsp ghee or butter

Adding ghee gives softness to the recipe

also add in a pinch of salt

mix it once and then lets add water

Now gradually add water and make a soft dough

we will need approximately 1/4 cup water

Now the dough for our maida biscuit is ready

dust with some flour and spread the dough

Do not roll it too thin nor too thick

now with a help of knife cut it into desired shapes

I am making square today

That's it

Now its time for frying , Oil - medium heat

drop it one by one and fry until golden brown

do not overcrowd, leave some space for even cooking

Let it fry for few more minutes

Now they are nice and golden lets take it off from Oil

Well, this meal is kind of the classic case of us our eyes being a little bit bigger than

our stomachs because this thing is huge.

This apparently is the house specialty.

They have actually named this dish after the restaurant and it is the 7 pigs and it is

a huge pork leg (ГОМІЛОЧКА "СІМ ПОРОСЯТ").

It appears like they have like a cheese or melted cheese.

Melted cheese sauce and I'm just going to like carve off a huge.

Oh man, the meat looks so tender.

So I'm going to get some sauce on that and take a huge bite.

My gosh that is such nice meat.

So tender and actually it is not a cheese sauce it is a mustard sauce.

Try to get some of the skin because it is really nice and some of the sauce.

Oh my gosh I know this looks messy but it actually looks more appetizing.

It reminds me of roast chicken where you keep the skin on it but of course it is with pork.

The meat is quite tender like it reminds me of pulled pork a little bit.

And the mustard, I mean it has got some kick but also a bit of sweetness to it as well.

It really balances out.

Oh my gosh and we still have another dish and dessert coming.

So another side dish we ordered is Varenyky (ПЕЛЬМЕНІ "ВІД ВУЙКА КОЦЬО")

which are the dumplings but these ones are black.

Yeah.

So we haven't had this before.

It looked interesting.

All I know is that they are stuffed with pork and veal.

The only black food I've had before used squid ink.

Oh, they are quite dense.

Those are really different than the ones we've tried before.

We've mostly had potato and cheese ones but this is like just entirely meat.

They are denser for sure.

These ones almost look like they've been steamed instead of boiled.

Well, thankfully dessert is a smaller portion than everything else because yeah we're stuffed.

We're stuffed.

And this is like a Ukrainian cake style of cheesecake (ТОРТ "СИРНИК").

And it has got like a chocolate topping and I think I've been able to see what might potentially

be dried pieces of fruit in the middle.

I think on the other side.

Yeah, I think I actually have one in my bite.

That is so good.

Because like this is just like pure cheesecake.

There isn't really a bottom layer.

It is just pure dense thick cheesecake (ТОРТ "СИРНИК").

Just the way I like it.

So I can of feel at this point the meal has sort of turning into a challenge.

We're so full.

But this is like an endurance sport.

I always have room for cheesecake though.

We need to start ordering less.
