Hi, you are watching Mad Hunter Channel, I'm back from PC with this great haul!
As you could see on the previous videos it was an awesome event, we had a really good time,
I bought many things, this is what I brought for my collection, so enjoy it with me!
Starting from the top, the Fright Fighter, which was flying all over the con. lol
I enjoyed finding this piece because as I told you, the wings, this guns or lasers are very fragile.
They get lost very easy! I had to disassemble it so it could fit into the suitcase.
For us collectors, is a challenge when we travel because of the luggage space and the customs.
But we accomplished it and it´s already home and ready to enter the collection.
Going down here we have the cartoon cells, these are the first concept of a scene.
Is the development of the cartoon in which they specify how the character has to move or what he has to do in that moment.
I bought this six cells, which were obviously handmade,
they got their certificate on the back and they are characters which are very important to me, such as:
Trap Jaw
Obviously He-Man and Skeletor.
Starting with this one, I love all this writing because you can see the sizes and specifications of what they had to do,
I found this one very funny! Look at these 2 Skeletors dancing!
It's an important piece because it has Skeletor on it but at the same time it´s funny.
Moving over here we have Battlecat, for me it is like having a tiger paint at home!
It's a "Kitsch" decoration but at the same time it´s Battlecat!
In the middle the most important ones, He-Man! If you notice they have two shades,
Gray pencil first and then another blue pencil color on top.
I really like the Trap jaw cells!
It´s a sequence of when he is changing weapons.
Over here we can see the gun and on this other side the hook.
The specification is that in that moment he had to change weapons.
The size of the character is amazing!
So after this, they put on a plastic cover and they started drawing and painting over it.
I love this Beastman that you see over here, more because I got on a trade.
I trade it for some Bootleg figures and some money.
I like it because Beast Man is one of the main characters, the main villains!
It's a real joy to add this figure to my collection because of the conditions.
This Beastman is on a 1982 card,
It means that it´s an early version.
This time I commit a sin, because I bought one of the Super 7 exclusives.
This vinyl Skeletor. I am going to take it out so you can see it.
To create this box, Super 7 was inspired on the Skeletor made by Takara, which is real jewel.
It´s the only other country were the MOTU figures were packed in boxes.
This is a replica of the Japanese box made by Takara.
This figure has a great packaging and an awesome combination between Sofubi vinyl and Skeletor MOTU.
It drives me crazy so I had to sin and buy with something new.
Look all the details on this figure!
It comes with his staff, is all transparent, and as you know I go crazy for transparent figures.
The paint details, the color combo,
everything about it convinced me to buy something modern for the first time, well not for the first time but let´s say that
few times I buy something modern for my collection.
These toys on the top, the Knight Rider car and the Mad Batman,
This Space Patrol bootleg figure and the pink He-Man candy dispenser made in blown plastic,
The were all gifts that I received at Power Con, in fact this is from a very good friend that is
in Argentina and I am grateful that he sent it to me with Lole, thank you very much, and this other gift from Isra
that he gave me at Power Con, a very rare Bootleg on its original package. A very special greeting to the guys
from Death Stock Mafia for giving me this piece that although it´s new it has Batman´s essence that it´s
what I like and also, thank you very much to to Camerik and his dad America Carlos,
for this Kitt bootleg car, it´s amazing to get Mexican bootleg in another country!
Thank you very much to everyone who gave me a present, honestly I am very grateful.
And yes, you are right, all these figures are from Top Toys Argentina!
I would like to thank my brother, Lole, Lole Punx, for bringing to me this selection of figures from
Masters of the Universe, as they would call them in Argentina. This were pieces that I was missing to complete my set
of all the ones that were made in Argentina, so let´s star from this side; we have Mantenna,
a little bit worn, this one doesn't have much difference from the one made in Taiwan or the one from HK.
But it's little bit lighter and it comes with its crossbow that is made with a heavier and tougher material.
You can tell how dense it is by the sound it makes when you drop it or when you hit it.
The Buzz Off, I'm amazed that it's complete, I was lucky to keep it for my collection.
It comes with the original helmet and axe all made by Top Toys.
There is a variant that I am still missing, the one with the brown arms, I still can´t find it.
A variant that I picked that made me happy, I think it´s one of my favorites from this haul,
The Black-legged Trap Jaw, It´s a very rare Argentinian variant and it comes with all its original accessories.
Remember that Trap Jaw is the only figure that is marked on the back of the head "Argentina".
Many people ask me; how can I tell if it´s Top Toys or not? Well, before anything you can
tell instantly, because the colors are very different but also the coo was erased from the molds.
So most of them have a scar mark were you can see that the mold was modified, that helps you determine if it´s Top Toys.
Let´s continue with Mekaneck as you know the mechanism makes it very interesting
because when you turn its body the neck grows up and down.
Here we can see that the chest is intense red, almost blood and a bit translucent, the maze is yellow very similar to Cyclone color.
A little bit lighter, look at the conditions, honestly Lole, my brother spoiled me this time!
Next, over here, this Panthor that was injected in purple, I loved it because it´s how they say, this is 100% Argentinian,
there is no way to copy it because it was injected in purple. The regular one was injected in black.
And over here, talking about the other Panthor, I saw it, Lole brought it at the convention and suddenly
it started calling my attention because when you are chilling and talking, wasting time, suddenly you start
analyzing things more closely, and I said to him ; Hey, this Panthor looks odd to me. And it´s because on the inside it´s a Battlecat,
I mean, they used the green Battlecats and they flocked them to make Panthors. Obviously, as you know,
TT did this to save money or maybe because they didn't have, the purple plastic to inject at that moment.
So I found very interesting that it has this variant, that on the inside it's a Battlecat.
It's Panthor with Battlecat soul!
On the other side, talking about this type of variants, we have Skeletor Battle Armor
With a hard head, injected in beige color. As you can see it has some damages over the hood and
there we can see that on the inside the head was molded in beige. This 2, Skeletor and Panthor are the bomb, a great duo!
Well, this piece, I call it "The Christmas Modulok".
It's obvious, because of the colors. TT removed some pieces from this figure and packed it on a blister card.
This figure is crazy! It has some extra pieces so you can transform it,
but it doesn't come complete like the regular version and it didn't came with the gun.
This is are all the pieces the Argentinian Modulok have to come with. It´s an amazing piece and as I told you,
what makes variants rare or valued is the drastic variations and the most different they are from the original version.
So this Christmas Modulok is, I think, on the worldwide top of the variants.
We arrived to another piece that as well, is important because of its color variations, Snout Spout, the Elephant.
It comes with the axe that doesn't have any marks or any country. The gloves are blue, when they should be purple,
and the black boots. In fact I like this combination better than the original one.
Now that we were lucky enough to meet Hector, TT creator and his son Dario, I would like to thank them for all this crazy stuff.
Here the little one it's Orko, it comes with the whip,
but it´s missing the magic trick, to be honest those accessories are really hard to find.
I'm talking about the blue coins, the coin the covers all and the coin the covers the blue ones after you put them in.
This was a magic trick in which you supposedly disappeared and appeared the blue coins.
It´s the most difficult to find from Orko along with the whip, so anyways, it was a great find!
Looking over here, we have another piece from Top Toys that I already had that is a
Man-E-Faces with the unpainted back. This was not a factory error, it´s a variant, why?
Because of the amount of pieces or figures that came out like this. Many times people ask me;
How can I know if it´s a factory error or a variant? Obviously when you see more
than ten, twenty pieces, with the same detail, like in this case the unpainted back,
is because it was a production piece that was made like that and that makes it a variant.
Maybe if there´s one or two in the world it´s only a factory error and by fortune
some kid had it but that does not mean it´s a variant.
And talking about variants, this is funny,
This Leech that you see over here... I am going to give you some seconds to see if you
could spot the specific variant that this piece have, I have been looking for it for years,
This is a Leech "Made in Mexico" and the belt buckle is black, although it´s just a little detail,
it is a very desired variant from the regular toy line, talking about the Taiwan, Mexico, Malaysia variants that were sold worldwide.
It's a very hard to find variation, I will tell you how I got it!
Lole was selling some pieces, I was chilling ove there
and suddenly he made a deal with an American guy, he gave him 3 or 4 figures as a bonus,
he was like; Thanks for the deal, I am going to give you this pieces. And Lole was like; no, you don´t
have to but alright, thanks. And Lole told me; they are incomplete but it´s nice that he gave them
to me as a gift, so I am going to take them to Argentina.
But when I saw the Leech,
I told Lole: "I don't have it, I´ve been looking for it for a long time". And he told me; well I got it as a gift
now I'll give it to you also as a gift, I know It´s going to be in good hands.
So this was a double gifted figure! lol
It drives me crazy because I had been looking for it for a while.
Well, you may see some other pieces. I kept this Triclops because it has a darker visor, it's different from the one I already have.
I will keep it as a variant.
I will try to find the sword that he´s missing. Cyclone is one of the pieces that has
little variation comparing it to the original, but when you put them side by side, you can tell that
the yellow is much more pale, and lighter than the regular version. It's similar to Mekaneck's maze.
There's another variant that has some unpainted parts and it looks much more crazy, but anyways, I will have to get it with one
of the Argentinian colleges. Thanks to all of the South American people that follow the channel,
because, to be honest, they are always very nice with their comments, but I would like to make a
shout out to them so they help me get the variants from their countries, whoever is in
Argentina help me get more Top Toys so I can have my set complete, we can exchange some
Masters of the Universe and not only in Argentina, but as well the people in Brazil, there´s a lot of
people that follow the channel, they speak Portuguese but they do understand us, I don't
understand Portuguese a lot, I think it´s difficult to understand for the ones who speak Spanish,
but greetings to everyone that follows the channel, we are about to reach 20 thousand subscribers,
I am very grateful, help me by sharing the channel, this video, subscribe to the channel, that helps me
a lot, it motivates me. And well, I am not going to bore you, I know you´ve been watching the main
figures, the ones in the center of the table, but as you know I always leave the best till the end.
The ones who have been following the Power Con 2017 saga, all the videos I made, they were able to see all
the treasures I bought there with Scott. Here they are, live and direct, now I am going to make this
little review, I haven't made any video with the Test Shots and prototypes.
We are going to start from left to right,
here we have Bow, I liked it a lot, is from the collection of Princess of Power, but it comes
with a set of pieces, which drives me nuts. I'm going to enjoy getting it displayed in an acrylic case with the other parts,
It's a Test Shot prototype, with She-Ra´s pelvis, it also comes with a 2 piece head set in
different colors and two chests. It looks very good because it´s a whole set, or as collectors call it a "Run".
Moving on to the back we can see all the box with different preproduction pieces,
these are proofs, test shots, and prototypes, made at Mattel.
All the shields that you see over here have different color shades, as well as the horse head armors.
Or Snout Spout´s clear leg that Scott gave me as a gift, it was an amazing detail from him!
3 things are combined on this leg: He-Man, preproduction/pototype, and it's transparent.
I hope one day I could find a clear prototype figure, all transparent, I will go nuts with it.
On this side we have the hybrid, it has pieces from different doll from the "POP" collection.
It's really unique, it even comes with the original elastic from that time. The elastic is about to break, rubber always degrades.
Figure is in perfect shape!
Most of the prototypes
can be found in excellent shape because Mattel's designers took them home as trophies,
part of what they achieved at the fabric and it´s a part of their job, and maybe they showed them off to their
families and everything and they treasured them as part of their curriculum, as part of their history,
so obviously, they kept them for years and now unfortunately they passed away, for example Alan Tyler
that was the owner of this collection and all that has been sold to many collectors, by my side I will
make that his legacy is known and that the people appreciate what he created and what he
had, and it´s nice that he created it and he had it and he kept it for all this time and now
I got the chance to bring some of his pieces to Mexico and share them with you.
And now the cherry on top of the cake!
Lol, very accurate because of Modulok's color!
Well, as you can see, this Modulok has four pieces casted in unproduced colors,
It means that this colors are different from the production piece.
The colors is dark orange.
The color is different, it gives more character to the prototype .
I like it very much, It would be better if all pieces were made of the same orange color or some other un-produced colors,
but anyways you cannot have everything in this life!
My favorite figure from this trip and the convention is Rokkon!
As you can see it has three different colors and the gun was casted in beige!
I let pass this piece last year, well I didn't let it pass but I spent much more than what I had in mind, so
I got to leave it behind, and I thought that someone was going to take it. But no, Scott said that all his stuff was stored
for a year and he took them out again for Power Con 2017, so I loved finding it again,
I didn't hesitate, I bought everything that you see here, all these prototypes and honestly I left
Power Con very, very happy.
As you know, what I like the most about my hobby and these videos,
is to share my passion with you, so I hope you've liked it as much as I did,
this was like a little review of the treasure that I found at Power Con. Leave me you comments, which piece
do you like the most, what would you have choose from here and which is the the crown jewel!
Don't forget to subscribe, like this video and share it, that way you will get the notifications of the new videos.
