How Cosmetic Filler can Enhance an Existing Chin Implant - Duration: 5:42.

Thank you for your question.

You submitted your question with a single photo and you have a concern about the way

your chin appears when you move in a certain position and after undergoing a chin implant

where in the edge you feel is more visible in certain positions and you appear to have

a double chin.

And your plastic surgeon suggested placing Juvederm in this general area.

And you're concerned about what happens when the filler disappears and the relative

indications and safety of using fillers around the chin implant.

Well, I can certainly share with you how I counsel patients who have chin implants and

have a desire to improve certain areas around the chin implant and what the relative risk

is.

A little bit of background, I'm a Board-certified cosmetic surgeon and Fellowship-trained oculofacial

plastic and reconstructive surgeon.

I have been in practice in Manhattan and Long Island for over 20 years.

Facial implants are something I have done a lot of in my career and surgical placement

of chin implants is fairly common.

In addition, we do a non-surgical procedure that creates the impression like having a

chin implant.

We call it Structural Volumizing and we use injectable fillers such as Juvederm and the

Juvederm family, Juvederm Ultra Plus and Juvederm Voluma.

So the question then comes up, what to do when you already have a chin implant?

Well, it's certainly a valid question more from the perspective of a potential risk of

infection as well as the relative safety in this area.

That being said, I think that if your plastic surgeon was the one who placed the chin implant

and is doing your injectable filler, your surgeon should have a sense of what to do

to maximize sterility.

But I would just caution that's one area that's important.

So when we do Structural Volumizing in our practice, we actually do it like we do surgery.

We do things with extensive sterility and proper technique.

And as far as the rest of your concerns about the appearance of the skin of whether it would

stretch or sag after the filler is gone, I don't think you have much to be concerned

about.

When it comes to basically adding volume to create improvement in transitions in area,

your skin is really not being stretched very much.

If anything, what's only being done is to fill relative indentations and hollow.

So for example, if we were trying to add volume in the cheek area for someone with a facial

hollow, well that's restoring volume in an area that's lost volume.

Therefore the skin is really not stretching.

It's just being filled up to a limited amount.

So the same thing applies to this area under the chin.

And even if we do something more aggressive to try to mimic the appearance of a chin implant,

the skin will only tolerate so much expansion before it literally pushes back in the other

direction.

So I think that you can be confident that the skin won't stretch too much.

I think this is more about getting the right filler, in the right amount, in the right

places to get the best appearance.

As long as you and your doctor have a good dialogue about what the outcome will be and

you are able to see what your results will be before and after the injectable filler

is placed, I think that it's certainly well worth moving forward as long as you and your

doctor have a certain strategy and plan well communicated.

I was like... OMG... what is that

I find it hard to remove my eyeliner

Hi and welcome back to Star Conflict Tutorials! Today we'll talk about the 5 most popular ships of the game,

that can be purchased simply by having a low-tier spacecraft and just a handful of credits to spare.

Only the official data was used for this Top 5 list, so, you are going to be looking at 5 ships that ventured out into space combat most often.

In a way, this list was made using your help guys; enjoy!

NUMBER FIVE: The Empire's Cerberus long-range frigate of rank eight. Most Imperial craft usually have a very tough hull and powerful weaponry.

Cerberus is no exception. Three hull mod slots ensure superior toughness and high resistance to damage.

While even the base, unmodified crit chance coupled with an Infrared Scanner allow the ship to dish out tremendous punishment.

You dislike risks? Well, then get yourself the Horizon Module. It will slightly decrease your damage output, but will allow you to use your weapons from a longer and safer range.

All Imperial frigates have a common flaw though: low speed and maneuverability, as well as inferior shields. Naturally, it all applies to the Cerberus as well.

So, if the enemy comes too close - you are done for. Your last ditch hope is to use minefields or allied support, as well as Reverse Thruster, but it must be used VERY carefully.

ECM interceptors are just waiting for you to use such a module, to disable it promptly, just as you prepare to use it.

Secondly, by activating the module, you remove extra damage resistance to all types of damage. Keep that in mind.

But wait, there's another flaw - a weak radar. Thankfully, though, this can be solved with implants and CPU modifiers, such as Enhanced Scanner,

Alligators needs some time to accelerate to its max speed, but its hull cannot take a major beating, though.

Sadly, this cannot be amended: the rank is simply too low and there are very few mods available.

But you can improve what's already good in the craft. You have two engine mod slots, that will benefit greatly from a Catalyst Injector and an Auxiliary Generator.

NUMBER THREE. Jericho's Ira Deus frigate of rank nine. Ira Deus is in many ways akin to the Cerberus, but has better shields, rather than a tough hull,

whereas the disintegrator is replaced with a guided torpedo, that can be fired from behind cover to great effect.

But don't rely on it too much, ok? You need to finish off a fleeing enemy?

You can do that. But for regular combat, those torpedoes have a very low rate of fire. You will be better off firing your main weapons.

Oh and more thing: Ira Deus is quite a nimble frigate, which should come in handy when fighting at long to mid ranges.

High speed, maneuverability, great defence bonuses, plus the ability to install an alternate special module.

These are but SOME of the benefits of a particular spacecraft, that ended up second on our list. Hyena tackler-fighter of the Federation of rank nine.

This ship consumes 25% less energy, which allows you to spare a mod slot by not installing a Voltage Regulator,

but use something better instead , such as an Emergency Barrier . Or something like an Iridium Heatsink and Pulse Discharger to deal more damage in battle.

But before we will unveil our number one, we would like to call out a few honorable mentions, that could have made it to the list, but didn't.

Templar Ace is a decent frigate of Jericho with bonuses for kinetic weaponry. Fox-M tackler-fighter of the Federation of rank six.

This craft has an outstanding balance of energy regeneration and consumption for its rank.

Up next is the Katana command fighter, that comes with good guns and decent shields.

Ok, it's time for NUMBER ONE: meet the Anaconda engineering frigate, made by the Federation. Anaconda resembles the Alligator a bit.

But this craft can carry an Eclipse Launcher, that comes in handy for any Engineer. Now, just add two Horizon Modules and help your allies from a safe range. Simply beatuiful!

You prefer fighting in the thick of it? Well, you can do that too! Anaconda does that too, since it is a rather fast frigate.

Anaconda is quick enough to escape most opposition, or at least find cover in time. But wait, there's more: a hull mod slot!

You can install some Crystal Plates in there and Voila, it's time to engage the enemy!

The archive was created in 1945-46 when almost 20,000 survivors from nazi

concentration camps came to Sweden with the white buses operation. The white

buses was a rescue operation initiated by the Danish and Swedish Red Cross,

where they sent down a number of buses to the former

concentration camps and the newly liberated concentration camps in nazi territory.

In total we think that about 20,000 were saved by coming to Sweden and Denmark.

In Lund there was a large project where a working group

was trying to document what they had experienced in the Nazi concentration camps.

They made over 500 in-depth interviews with survivors

where they described what they had experienced. Apart from the interviews

the working group also collected personal belongings the survivors carried

with them to Sweden including drawings, photographs, notebooks,

schoolbooks. In particular Ravensbrück concentration camp was a camp for

women and children and they made their own school books which were used to

educate the children in the camp. There are so many really gripping life stories.

The interviews are very different.

Some are quite short – four or five pages perhaps. Some of them are incredibly long.

One is 180 pages. It gives an incredibly detailed account of the

experience throughout the war. We found a letter, a secret message, where one person

who was incarcerated at Ravensbrück camp. To keep the message secret she

wrote it in her own urine on the inside of the envelope. When the relatives heated up

the envelope they suddenly could read about what was happening in the camp.

We believe that that was the first time information got out about

what happened in the camps. We have digitized a major part of the archive,

not the entire archive because it's simply too big for that.

We have digitized all the interviews which are in Polish. We are in the process of

translating them all in full text and make them accessible on the web.

We've also digitized a large amount of the other documents like notebooks

and drawings and photographs and so on. In total I think it's about an estimated

10,000 pages.

Blood works in a very similar way.

exposed to every kind of molecule: from the proteins making up the scaffold of the vessels

to all the stuff present on your skin at the moment.

All this factors, especially the proteins present negative superficial charges

and its those that activate the "XII factor" of coagulation

This is the activation point of the coagulative fall, wher in biochemistry,

fall meansi an enzime that activates another one, that activates another that

activates another and so on.

In case you are interested in this kind of stuff, factor XII will activate

XI factor that will activate factor IX that together with factor VIII will activate factor X

and before you write in the comments "but couldn't they call them in order that like this

does not make any sense?????

I tell you, they are niminated based on the order of discovery.

I am not justifying them, it is stupid, but it is like that. Sorry.

Anyway, Factor X activation is a crucial point in the coagulaton, since here

there is the convergence between the intrisic mechanism that we just talked about

with the extrinisc one, initiated by the damaged endotheliale cells, which release

III factor that will activate VII factor that will activet the X. (how much do i love this system)

And it's at the factor X that the real magic starts: this factor, will activate the iI factor

called prothtrombin that will become thrombin when activated

This will lead not to the activation of another enzyme, but of a particualr

molecule: fibrinogen or I factor

This protein is made of two tripeptide made of alfa, beta and gamma chains

In a triangle-like structure

Normally, the extremities of alfa and beta chains are highly negative, so the tend

to repel other fibrin molecules that will stay dissolved in the blood

thrombin however,acts cutting these portions

alfa and veta, and suddently, the fibrin moleculs start polymerizing, creating

a single mass that initially is called soft clot, but with the help

of the XIII factor, stabilizes in a stable clot (so much fantasy in biochemistry)

This new fibrin net does exactly what you might think: blocks the majority of blood components

thanks to the help of platelets

These "non-cells", because they are only cellular residues, when exposed to thrombin

create things called pseupodes on their membrane, that let them get stuck

on the fibrin net, blocking the path for bigger cells

They won't be able of stopping completely the liquid part of the blood, that will

make that yellowish substance that you observe when you squeeze a clotted injury

(in case you want to). In this phase there will also be the retraction

of the cloth, that will help reinforce tissue adesione and allow contact

between them so to help healing

Like everything good however, this too has an ending, in the form

of fibrinolysis

This hapens thanks to a protein called plasminogen, or plas in when activated for example by

tissue factor released by cells

It acts on multiple levels: one one hand it directly shreds fibrinogen, blocking its aggregation

on the other block multiple coagulation factor, preventing the formation

Of new clots

Fibrin frammentation in particulare, leads to the production of a special protein

called D-dimer

Since this protein is only produced in this occasion, it is very used in clinical practice

when you need to search for recent coagulatione vents, for example thrombosis of different nature

This degradation process continues unilt the lesion is completely repaired

and thus the clot is completely dissolved

Of cousre, coagulation and its efficency don't affect only

the lesion itself

The coagulation factors in fact, degrade very rapidly even when not activated

This is why the need to be produced continuosly, and this happens in the liver

that will use vitamin K to produce different factos such as II, VII and IX

This is way people with vitamin K deficiency or hepatic cyrrosis bleed

very profusely, because lthe ack of coagulation factors

thus the creation of the clot is very slow or doesn't happen at all.

CHOCOLATE RASPBERRY SMOOTHIE - HEALTHY SMOOTHIE TUESDAY - Duration: 2:58.

Hello and welcome to smoothie Tuesday on Steve's kitchen and you read the title

right, it is a chocolate raspberry smoothie but it's still pretty healthy,

actually it happens to be vegan. So if you've got any vegan friends out there

you can share this one across to them. Just come and have a look what's going

in. Now as we're doing a smoothie we're going with frozen raspberries, I've got

two cups of delicious frozen raspberries. We're going to sweeten this with some

dates, so I've got five or six dates there, half a cup of ice. I've got a

couple of tablespoons of dark cocoa, the carrier or liquid in here is an

unsweetened almond milk and just because I can, I'm going to add a couple of

tablespoons of a vanilla protein powder. So let's pop our raspberries into our

blender one cup and two cups. Now two tablespoons

of dark cocoa and that's an unsweetened cocoa of course, two cups of almond milk,

there's the first one and don't forget this is unsweetened almond milk. Now I'm

going to add some protein powder in here, it's a vanilla protein powder, a couple

of dessert spoons should be just about nice. Got half a cup of ice and to

sweeten it we've got six dates in there. Pop our lid on nice and secure, turn our

blender on. Now here's a button I've never used before actually on this

machine, smoothie rather than green smoothie. Let's give it a go.

Now that has blended beautifully and smooth I'm just going to pour it into one

of these beautiful little, these are very popular now these little glasses. Now

these ingredients make 36 smoothies, only kidding.

Let's pour this into a proper sized glass, that's a lovely rich looking

smoothie. So it makes quite easily 2 decent-sized smoothies, I hope you're

enjoying the smoothie series and I've thrown a bit of chocolate in there just

to get you salivating a bit. Anyway here goes let's give this a try, Cheers!

Iraqi government forces swept into the Kurdish-held city of Kirkuk on Monday, capturing the governor's

office, key military sites and an oil field.

In a lightning-fast strike, Baghdad's U.S.-trained troops entered the northern city and, on orders

from Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, raised Iraqi flags in place of the Kurdish

banners.

The move came less than a day after launching the operation in response to last month's

Kurdish vote for independence that the central government declared was illegal.

Iraqi forces have now shut down access both in and out of Kirkuk as fighting with Kurdish

Peshmerga forces grows worse.

Popular Mobilization Units moved into Kirkuk in the early hours of Monday.

President Trump says his decision not to recertify Iran's compliance with the Iran nuclear deal

could lead to its "total termination."

He said, "That's a very real possibility."

He spoke to reporters Monday as he began a meeting with his cabinet at the White House.

In remarks that were at times prepared and other times not, the president said a lot

of people agreed with what he did in pulling away from the 2015 accord, which Iran reached

with the five permanent members of the U.N. Security Council and the European Union.

None of the other parties to the agreement have endorsed Trump's move, however, and EU

foreign ministers, meeting Monday in Luxembourg, dispatched one of their top diplomats to Washington

to fight for the deal.

to search for survivors from a massive explosion on Saturday blamed on Islamist militants.

Protesters in the Kenyan city of Kisumu defied a local government ban on rallies Monday to

demand reforms in the country's electoral commission.

This is the fourth Monday in a row that demonstrators have marched on the commission's offices.

Correspondent Mohammed Yusuf reports now from Kisumu.

Protesters marched to the offices of the electoral commission offices in Kisumu's city center.

But in the afternoon, police used teargas and water cannons to disperse the crowd.

One person was killed.

Kisumu is the hometown of opposition leader Raila Odinga.

Odinga had challenged to win over incumbent President Uhuru Kenyatta in the August election.

The Supreme Court overturned the outcome, saying presidential results were [either]

neither transparent [or] nor verifiable.

The court ordered the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission, or IEBC, to conduct

a new election within 60 days of its September 1 ruling.

Since then, Odinga has demanded the commission fire members who were allegedly involved in

the August electoral irregularities.

The commission has said it has no time to make changes.

Last week Odinga withdrew from the October 26 re-run election blaming the commission

and the ruling Jubilee party of planning to rig the vote.

The man accused of planting two bombs in New York, leaving 30 people injured in September

2016, was found guilty of all charges Monday.

bombing a public place.

Words of Psychology - Diangelomania or 007's Syndrome

Welcome to "Words of Psychology".

A short video about the pathological liar, or better, about a specific phenomenon inherent the pathological lying

that I intercepted because of my profession and I also heard about it through acquaintances.

I will talk about a specific lie of some pathological liars, in this case of male sex.

I have called this very phenomenon: DIANGELOMANIA, from the Greek word "diàngelos" which means "spy, secret messenger".

Why? Because these people tell or like to talk about themselves as if they were undercover secret agents even if they live absolutely normal lives and they are employed, they have a family, etc.

These people tell themselves to women or friends to be or to have been somehow linked to intelligence agencies or covert military agencies.

Somehow they give a glimpse of this thing or tend to demonstrate it by exhibiting firearm expertise.

This behavior seems bizarre to everyone and in fact, it is.

The speech would be long.

I actually wrote an article that you can find on my site and I will also give you references on Facebook

in which I try to explain in a more comprehensive and precise way this phenomenon that could be labeled a monomania, using a term of old psychiatry.

It is an obsessive thought but within a quite stable personality.

It is anyway true that diangelomania seems to be a fantasy of narcissistic compensation made up by subjects who obviously inject their fantastic dimension into their existence,

for which they become the protagonists in that mythical, fascinating and obscure way associated with the character of the secret agent

not as he is actually but how he was painted by cinema and literature.

This should, on the one hand, intimidate males and, on the other, fascinate women

as well as in fact the character of James Bond fascinates the crowds for decades.

It seems a fairly innocuous phenomenon and in fact, it usually is as such, though there are well-documented cases of antisocial subjects that are not so peaceful.

I remember Roberto Succo, whose life was illustrated in a film a few years ago made by Cédric Kahn:

Succo killed some people then escaped jail, fled to France and told his girlfriend that he was a secret agent;

inside his psychopathic life, he basically embedded this particular fantasy.

Another case is about the Circeo's Monster, Angelo Izzo, who repeatedly attempted to mitigate his detention condition

meant that he had been in contact with the secret services or, in any case, with people tied to secret services.

You will find all the exact references in this article that I wrote.

It is also interesting how this diangelomania or 007's Syndrome goes somehow to connect to certain attention-seeking fantasies

that are found also in some current terrorists and also in some sectarian situations

that assume on themselves a peculiar and hypertrophic identity to be protagonists and winner in life.

In my opinion, the people with this syndrome, apart from being unlikely to use lies solely as part of their fictional secret agent's life,

are generally not dangerous in the absolute sense,

but it does mean that they have a fragile Self that, if narcissistically frustrated, it could lead to acts that show how this they can be strong and threatening.

That's all. I coined this term, diangelomania, because there was no one describing this phenomenon;

maybe the term in itself is not beautiful but the Greek word of origin is the correct one.
