2017 Ford Focus RS vs Volkswagen Golf R

From 700-horsepower Hellcats to supercars that are ready to blast into the stratosphere, there are plenty of high-performance players to choose from. But they arent exactly practical and don't make the best commuter cars.

Luckily, there are some seriously fun dual-purpose options out there for those in need. And high on that list are the Volkswagen Golf R and Ford Focus RS, the hottest of hot hatches on the market today.

There havent been two more natural competitors since Coyote and Roadrunner. Both hatches are based on commuter cars, have powerful turbocharged engines, and all-wheel drive.

Powered by a re-tuned version of the Golf GTI's turbocharged 20-litre four-cylinder, the Golf R makes 292 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque, the latter of which kicks in at a low 1,900 rpm.

Turbo lag is a factor, though only barely, with the all-wheel drive system helping the Golf R gallop from a rest to 60 mph in a scant 4.9 seconds (zero to 100 km/h in 5.2 seconds) with the six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Capable of running through the gears faster than you can say Direkt-Schalt-Getriebe (DSG), the dual-clutch unit has the edge over the available six-speed manual, which slows the benchmarking sprint by about half a second.

The all-wheel-drive setup, Volkswagen's 4MOTION system, can send as much as 50 per cent of the torque rearward when needed, and uses what is essentially a brake-vectoring differential to help cut understeer.

Add in the adaptive damping system that can be set to comfort, normal or sport and drive mode selector, and the Golf R can be as uneventful or exciting as you want it to be.

After collecting gallons of enthusiasts' tears, Ford has finally unleashed the Focus RS on the North American market, and with it one of the wildest hot hatches ever built.

Packing the same 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder found in the Mustang EcoBoost, the Focus RS makes a ridiculous 350 hp and 350 lb-ft of torque thanks to a new twin-scroll turbocharger and larger intercooler.

(That's a jump of 40 hp and 30 lb-ft compared to the Mustang, for those of you keeping score.).

All that power heads to the pavement through a torque-vectoring all-wheel-drive system that features a pair of clutch packs that can split power front to back and side to side before you even know you need it there, sending power outside, for example, to kill any semblance of understeer.

The only gearbox available is a six-speed manual, but it is one of the finest examples on the market today, with short throws and a nicely weighted clutch that is neither too heavy or too light.

Running through the gears takes no time at all, and hitting the proper shift points — which are somewhere in the 5,000 to 6,500 rpm range, depending on the mood you're in — is rewarded with a burbling backfire that is unrivalled in the segment and beyond.

As you would expect, the RS has a drive mode selector that can be set to normal, sport or track, with all kinds of electronic trickery at play to adjust engine and steering response, suspension, all-wheel drive and traction control on the fly.

Regardless of drive mode, the suspension can be adjusted independently through a button on the signal stalk, with two settings on offer: Stiff, and stiffer. Leave it in normal and you'll feel almost every bump in the road.

Put it in sport and count on a trip to the chiropractor after a long drive. Of course, none of that matters when you're behind the wheel, with even the most mundane of drives sure to leave a smile on your face.

One common thread tied rather unfortunately through both cars is their somewhat disappointing interiors. It's not that there's anything inherently wrong with either aside from the fact that there's nothing that sets them apart from the commuter cars on which they're based.

Climb into the Golf R, and it looks and feels an awful lot like any of the more mundane Golf models out there.

Theres some extra bolstering on the front seats, and the steering wheel has been swapped out for one with a flat bottom, but those are the only visual clues as to what lurks beneath the sheet metal.

The same goes for the RS, with its cabin looking almost identical to just about every other new Focus on the road.

The steering wheel, Recaro seats, and some boost and oil gauges on the dash are the only differentiators to be found.

Both cars are in desperate need of something — body-colored trim pieces, carbon fiber inserts — to set them apart from their donors.

When it comes to exterior appearance, these two take very opposite approaches. Where the Golf R is understated, the Focus RS is in your face. If you're looking for a sleeper, the Volkswagen has you covered.

The tailpipes and discreet badges are about all that set it apart from the rest of the Golf lineup, which, unlike the interior, is a good thing when looking to fly under the radar.

The Ford, on the other hand, is about as loud visually as it is at redline, and definitely takes a little getting used to.

The gargantuan grille, massive spoiler, and rear diffuser complete with huge exhaust tips are definitely not doing anything to hide what the RS is packing under the hood.

Add in the optional nitrous blue paint, and the Focus borders on aesthetically offensive, and has cop-magnet written all over it.

The Verdict: 2016 Ford Focus RS vs Volkswagen Golf R . So which is worthy of your hard-earned dollars? The practical buyer will likely gravitate towards the Golf R for its low-key looks, more comfortable suspension and commuter-friendly automatic.

Push it hard and you can definitely feel the extra mass of the all-wheel drive system (automatic Rs tip the scales at 3,362 lb), and it doesn't feel quite as engaging as the GTI, but the Golf R is fast and fun, and responds to throttle and steering input without a fuss.

It does suffer from bouts of torque steer under hard acceleration, but tends to sort itself out with a little help from your hands, rocketing around with a cool confidence that's hard to match.

When you're done flogging, simply put the drive selector back in normal and the Golf R transforms into a casual commuter. But it just doesn't have the same character or raucous exhaust note as the Focus RS.

It's not exactly livable for daily duty, with the stiff suspension and go-hard attitude enough to drive you mad on the morning commute, but it will gladly play along when pushed, nudging you further and further as the needle climbs.

And just when you think the car has hit its limit — when heading into a corner a little too hot, for example — its unshakeable confidence and composure shine through, and it simply finds a way.

The whole package comes together so nicely it's scary. The car is so capable and user-friendly, I cant decide whether thats a good thing or a bad thing.

It handles phenomenally well, laughs in the face of understeer, and puts down enough power to outrun just about any other new car this side of $50,000.

What Movies Get Wrong About Space - Duration: 4:28.

Are regularly told that you're being silly and pedantic when you point out gross violations

of the laws of physics in movies, because 'it's just a movie'?

Well, you're about to feel totally validated, because we are about to get real silly and pedantic.

Hollywood can be pretty negligent about physics and astronomy, even in really good movies,

but there are a few specific misconceptions that pop up again and again.

So let's set the record straight on a few of these once and for all.

Also, spoilers ahoy!

All movies mentioned are listed in the description, so check to make sure you don't want any

of these movies spoiled before you keep watching!

One of the really common areas where movies take some creative liberties with science

is with asteroids and comets.

Like how the asteroid belt is commonly depicted as a dense minefield of death rocks, while

the reality of the situation is much less exciting.

Asteroids are typically 1-3 million kilometers apart; for comparison, the Death Star is about

160 kilometers in diameter.

So, you're gonna be pretty safe.

And speaking of safety, if you were to ask a screenwriter how prepared we are to handle

any impactor, they would probably say "not at all, we're all doomed".

In the cinematic masterpiece Armageddon, for instance, NASA detects an asteroid the size

of Texas only 18 days before it's going to kill us all, and then sends out Bruce Willis

and his ragtag team of oil-rig roughnecks to blow the thing up.

I don't know why Hollywood so vastly underestimates NASA's ability to detect potentially dangerous

impactors, because NASA would definitely have known about Texas In Space way in advance

and had everything under control.

NASA's Center for Near-Earth Object Studies is constantly scanning the sky for space rocks

trying to get too friendly with us, and they're pretty good at it.

They keep track of thousands of objects and assess the likelihood of any of them impacting us.

When they find an undiscovered near-earth object, they calculate its orbit and its potential

as a threat; then, if it could be a problem, they add it to the set of known objects that

are tracked and have their orbits periodically reviewed.

Orbits are calculated out to 100 years, so we would know way in advance if an extinction-level

collision were going to happen, which would give us enough time to plan to deflect or

destroy the thing heading for us.

It is true that sometimes we don't detect objects that buzz close to Earth until they're

almost here, but the reason it takes us so long to spot them is that they're so small

they're hard to detect.

And since they're so small, they're not really much of a threat.

Definitely not an extinction-level threat.

But I could talk about all the good things and bad things about Armageddon all day, so

let's move on to black holes.

In the Star Trek reboot, when Spock Prime and Nero are consumed by a black hole, it

sends them back in time, whole and alive.

But once you enter a black hole, you're not getting spat out at any point.

You're getting spaghettified.

Seriously, that's what astronomers call it.

Once you get past a black hole's event horizon — the point where there's no way for you

to escape the pull of its gravity — you start to get stretched and extruded like toothpaste

through a tube, ripped down to your constituent atoms and subatomic particles.

And then the particles that used to be you are stuck in there. Forever.

There are all kinds of other problems with the way black holes are portrayed in that movie.

Like, it should've been impossible for Nero to create a black hole in the center of the

planet Vulcan, and even if he had, there's no way it would've been big enough to swallow

the planet that quickly.

But he shouldn't have lived long enough to try it in the first place.

And finally, on the subject of space deaths, did you know that you won't actually explode in space?

Not even in the diminished atmospheric pressure of Mars!

So, awesome as it is, that scene in the original Total Recall is where Cohaagen is blown out

of a building on Mars and balloons up as his eyeballs pop out, isn't really plausible.

Not that much of the movie is.

It's a common misconception that the difference in pressures inside your body and outside

in space would equalize so quickly that your head would just pop, but actually, your body

will keep everything in place, kind of like a pair of Spanx.

Your skin, muscles, and blood vessels have a lot of tension to them.

They've got all kinds of nice, springy proteins in them, like collagen and fibrillin, and

their cumulative tension provides enough force to keep your blood from evaporating and your

eyes from popping out.

And your head definitely won't explode.

So that scene in 2001: A Space Odyssey where Dave has to break into his own spaceship from

outside is actually pretty accurate!

His head doesn't blow up or anything; it's just really windy for a second as the air

rushes out of the escape hatch.

As long as you keep your exposure to a vacuum under 10-15 seconds, you'll be fine.

You probably won't even lose consciousness.

So that's just a tiny sampling of some of the terrible science we see in movies.

But that doesn't mean you shouldn't watch them.

Bad movies can still be super fun.

Just don't believe everything you see!

From Italy To Endless Love- Puntata 5, We Are One, We Are A Universe (+ ENG SUB) - Duration: 17:20.

A web serie about the italian fans of Nightwish

episode 5

short introduction to Nightwishers:

''basically the fanclub is a family''

How I discovered the fanclub

it was a year ago

on Facebook looking for pages

fanpages to keep updated

with what

the band was doing

of course I didn't expect a ''hiatus'' so long

I immediately joined the group

and I got the membership card

I already renowed it so we can say

I have been a member for 2 years

so maybe it's more than 1 year and a half....

nevermind!!

I discovered Nightwishers by chance

surfing on Facebook, I got interested

because I found that the page was

always updated and useful

to retrive news about the band

then their work has been awarded

by the band's management

and they became official

and this made

the creation of the fanclub possible

So I got into the group

almost two years and a half ago

before Bologna's concert

and let's say that

from the beginning it seemed to me a close knit group

especially because

I already knew some people

so I didn't feel like

''omg I am alone

omg I don't know anyone

I need to acquaint me with everybody''

because these things make me nervous

and mainly

the second....sorry but

my eyebrow is crooked

this is not good

ehm, mainly

the second feeling I had

entering the group

was '''OMG I ended up in a bunch of idiots''

we discovered the Fanclub in Rome

during the queue for the concert, the 8th of June 2016

Rock In Roma

through Antonietta

we chatted a bit while waiting

about this and that and she said that

she was a member of the fanclub

''we have to join it too!" from that moment

we met a lot of people

really a lot!!

especially we met many

friends with whom

we talked a lot and we are very happy about it

because we met many new friends

and yes we feel a sense of family

because when we talk about NW

we are all together, united (like a family)

we all agree on the same thing

Nightwishers' family! I must say that

I discovered the fanclub four years ago

my ex-boyfriend talked me about it

he was friend with one of the admins

and I was enthusiast

so I look for it in order to sign up

and of course getting more info about the fanclub

I wanted to get in touch with other people who love NW

I must say that the bonds and friendship

were born just

a year and a half ago because

with the concerts I could

actually met people

vis à vis and not behind a screen

Nightwishers is the italian fanpage

the most active and updated

when the admins created a closed group

I joined it to have the opportunity

to meet other fans

Since I am a ''senior'' fan

I was afraid to feel

uneasy and out of place, but I was wrong

I met young and elder fans

that study and work in different fields

that live all around Italy

thanks to my ''musical family''

I also met many fans before, during

and after the concerts

and we begin wonderful

friendships. Like with Maria Rita

and Roberto from Sardinia

Katia from Ferrara

I this video I will talk

how I discovered the fanclub

and the impact the fanclub

so you Nightwishers fellows, had on my life

I remember the day when I joined the group

of the fanclub. It was the day

when I bought

the ticket for the concert

in....

ehm...Bologna

Bologna's concert, 2015

I remember the

high price NW tickets reached in those years

so I posted ''Ammazza oh'' [roman dialect exlamation, ''Damn'']

my very first comment on the fanclub group

was so explicit

''Ammazza, 48€, li mortacci'' [roman dialect, ''bloody hell']

something like that

and everybody began commenting, I remember

they made me feel

not alone in this

so I immediately felt part of a family and I must thank you

this was a very vivid memory I have

of the first encounter I had with the fanclub

I wanted to share it with you

Will I ever made a video shorter

than 2 minutes?

it's all or nothing

I could say a lot of things but in the end it's all about

we are a bunch of friends

that's it

in the end, friendships are made

You can hear of them all days

with some never

with some rarely

but when we meet is like we have been together since yesterday

this is it

it was really

cool taking part in some of the

contests, writing an article

for the fanclub, that ended up on the site

and of course it was spectacular

partecipare

doing video reports at Kitee's festival

probably the most

complete and ''thematically''

recreationally

experience in my life

so thank you for the opportunity

what does it mean to me? it means

getting to know

people with your same passion

but this ''knowing'' someone has a deeper meaning

because when we meet at concerts

there's always a nice atmosphere

because basically the fanclub is a family

Friendships begin too

that I regard could last in time

even though we live across Italy

Back then, all of us we used to share

links that mocked the band

like maybe...

Tarja vs Anette's fans war

Floor, and so on

ehm

but mainly

some people

had this funny spirit

and this helped me

get through my fear of knowing new people

especially once we

found ourselves in Bologna

I was there with only one person I knew

the others were people I have been chat for a while

because they were part of the FC

but I never met in person

because they lived across Italy

so...

The only event we took part in

because we are new in the Fanclub

was the Pizza get-together in Mantua

the day before the concert

that one was really nice

the atmosphere was so good

a huge family

it seemed like a Christmas family lunch

really really nice

all together, chatting

and we met many people too

thanks to the fanclub

what can I say, from that moment

bonds and friendships were bond

some stronger

than others' of course

but it's nice that

even though we are far distant

this fanclub connects us

the coolest thing is that we managed to become

''a little tiny family''

with this shared passion

This is one of the best thing for a fanclub

Also, it's probably

the only one I signed up to

so...

this is one of the most important reason

why I like Nightwishers

I must add that the idea of the fanclub

was top notch

I immediately got my membership card

and I am so proud of it

First of all I always have updated news

I can take part in projects

like this one

or take part in contests, where we have the opportunity

of winning prizes

and the best thing

is that meeting the band is

no longer a dream

I didn't even know that the best was yet to come

because the day of the concert

I finally met this lovely people

that are still part of my life

and it's a big part!

I will never thank you enough for this

that was one of the best days in my life

because a 12 hours queue

not easy , doing it

with people that make you feel good

is not easy... but's it's less difficult. Let's say so

I began...

I discovered Nightwishers

in december

because after November's concert my friends

had me into the Facebook group

and introduced me to everyone

I was a newbie afterall, it was 2015

and I expected something like ''who the f**k is she?''

and no! They welcomed me warmly

the advised me new songs

they followed me, as gurus

They showed me many things about the band

the opposite treatment that I feared

then

waiting for Rome's concert, and Floor's masterclass

in June 2016

we finally met all

but the best part was there, in Rome, because we

shared something huge

I met and befriended

Lenny [admin]

and some other fans

among various comments

we laughed and joked

so I can say that this experience

has been really positive

and now

see you on the next video!

bye!!

This also means

being able to confront and discuss

putting oneself on the line

taking part in contests

created by the fanclub

giving a part of one's time

to keep this

group spirit alive

without anyone doing it for you

this is the

meaning I give to a fanclub

I must also say that

the fanclub is really organized

it is incredible thinking that

only

few people manage it

and they are young too

so you can't really say they have

a 20-years experience in the world of fanclubs

is there even a fanclub world??

but

this is it

if you want to join us, do it! You are welcome

I have another crooked eyebrow!!!

again, if you want to join us, join us!

you are welcome

I tell you myself, not being an admin

Bye!!

yes it was really

formative let's say, being a member

very cool, we are satisfied

and happy

it's nice because many contests are organized

we always take part when we can

when they are not difficult!

yes if they don't ask us difficult tasks

it's a lively atmosphere

what can we say about the opportunities we are given?

contests, give aways, meet and greets with the band

before concerts

having signed stuff

but also contest where anyone can

be creative and imaginative

it's just fantastic! nothing much to add

of course I don't want to forget the admins

amazing human beings

they give us the chance of

all this things

they are Lenny, Irene, Mario Angelo, Lorenzo e Mattia

thank you!

So I will never stop thanking the FC guys

because they made me know these amazing people

and they let me meet

those elements....

that we love so much

Nightwish themselves

Meeting and talking with them

something that a fan

could not....is the highest hope of a fan...

guys, it really means a lot

I really thank you so much

great impression of the fanclub

unbelievable work

something that every fan should have

a fan of any band should have a fanclub like this

and I don't say this to flatter

it's the truth, the naked truth

making your dream coming true

and other people's dream coming true

being happy for the others

they are happy for you

with no jealousy and bollocks

for me it's something really huge

the hugs after the Masterclass...

like ''we made it'', after the concert

after the signing session, after all that happened in Rome

it's a big experience and share this

really creates a special link between people

Nightwish personally gave me tons of friends

it's not necessarily someone I talk to everyday

or have a saturday night out

but they are people that....

I am so happy to be a friend with

I really connected with them

when I meet them

it seems like we left the day before

it's cool because in the other fanclubs

it's just a cliché... but it's true for us.

2017 Ford Focus RS vs Volkswagen Golf R - Duration: 10:51.

Thanks for watching this episode of SciShow Space!

Trump Offers To Take IQ Test To Prove He Isn't A Moron - Duration: 3:15.

Donald Trump is still upset over the fact that it was reported that Rex Tillerson called

him a moron this past summer during a national security meeting.

Tillerson did not outright deny that he called Donald Trump a moron.

He said he's not going to talk about it.

He doesn't want to dignify it, but he did not deny it.

Donald Trump, sensing that something might be off from his initial assessment that Tillerson

vindicated the whole situation, he now has said that he will challenge Rex Tillerson

to taking an IQ test.

Then they'll compare results to see who the real moron is.

Donald Trump said at the end of that, he said, "And I think we know who that'll be."

Yeah, I think we do.

I think if you put yourself up against anyone else in this country taking an IQ test, it's

pretty obvious who the winner would be.

And it wouldn't be you.

It wouldn't really matter which American citizen you picked, because I don't think you're smarter

than anyone in this country.

Furthermore, IQ tests measure intelligence.

And guess what?

It's possible to be intelligent and also be a moron.

I don't know if you know anything about gifted programs in school, or at least the way they

used to be, where you had to take an IQ test to get into a gifted program.

I was in one.

Some of the kids I was in there with came across as really not that bright.

They failed out of school.

Some of them got held back a grade, but their IQs were high.

Some of them went on to live great lives.

Others did not.

IQ doesn't necessarily have any kind of bearing on that whatsoever, so I don't know why Donald

Trump is so obsessed with this, or why he thinks that it's not possible to both have

a high IQ and be a moron.

But the bottom line is this.

Look, we've got real issues happening, not just in this country, but all over the planet.

And Donald Trump is so obsessed with something that may or may not have been said at a meeting

four or five months ago that he can't focus on anything else.

I do not think Donald Trump is an intelligent person.

I do not think he's taken an IQ test ever in his life.

I believe if he did, he would probably be locked up in some kind of institution for

proving to be a danger to himself and to others.

You know what?

Go forward with it.

Go challenge Rex Tillerson to an IQ test and see which one of you has the higher one.

Personally, I think you're both morons.

But nonetheless, if you want to make the presidency all about your personal pissing matches, go

right ahead.

Leave the real work to people who understand the issues and who are actually going to do

something about it rather than sit in the oval office on their phone tweeting all day,

because that seems to be the only thing you are capable of doing.

Ratings For Sunday Night Football Officially In…Owners In Full Panic Mode - Duration: 26:21.

Ratings For Sunday Night Football Officially In…Owners In Full Panic Mode

The ratings for the NFL nationally televised games continue to slide down the path of no

return.

The league needs to step in soon or they will dig a hole they will not be able to get out

of.

According to Breitbart, "NBC's Sunday Night Football earned 10.6/18 in metered market

results, that fall constitutes a 3% drop from last week's numbers."

What makes this even worse of that last week's game was a snooze fest featuring two bad teams

– the Seahawks, and an Andrew Luck-less Indianapolis Colts.

The Seahawks are having a typical down year after being up for so long and without Luck

the Colts have no shot.

Last night's game featured two powerhouses.

An undefeated Chiefs team and a rising and very marketable Houston Texans.

At least one owner, Dallas Cowboys Jerry Jones is trying to right the ship.

He told all his player to get off their butts and stand and respect the flag.

Because he knows the truth about what is going on.

"If there is anything disrespecting the flag, then we will not play.

Period.

We're going to respect the flag and I'm going to create the perception of it.

Joes said according to Fox News.

"I know this.

We cannot in the NFL, in any way, give the implication that we tolerate disrespecting

the flag.

We cannot do that.

I know the vice president did leave because in his opinion, the teams were.

We know that there is a serious debate in this country about those issues.

But there is no question in my mind that the National Football League and the Dallas Cowboys

are going to stand up for the flag.

Just so we're clear."

When asked about players raising their fists during the anthem, he responded:

"Yeah, I don't know about that, but if there is anything that is disrespectful to

the flag then we will not play.

You understand?

If we are disrespecting the flag, then we won't play.

Period.

Period.

We're going to respect the flag.

And we have.

I'm not aware, and wouldn't know what you're talking about.

I'm not aware of that.

If you say you saw it, you saw it.

But we as a team are very much on the page together.

We've made our expression that we're together.

I'm very supportive of the team but under no circumstances — under no circumstances

— will the Dallas Cowboys, I don't care what happens, under no circumstances as an

organization or as coaches and players, not support and stand and recognize and honor

the flag.

Period."

"I will continue to support our players.

What I will not support is not standing

for

the flag."

DIY Twisted Sweater Refashion - Duration: 7:37.

Hi there, so today I have a sweater refashion

which I think is perfect, transitioning into fall.

I actually came across this style last year

and when I saw that it was back this season

I was just like "Okay I have to try my own version".

Now I say version because

the twist is usually done before the

store-bought sweater is put together.

Seeing that that already happened,

I had to do my own work around

which means my version is slightly different.

It's more like a faux twist.

To start I'll show you which sweaters to use...

type of sweaters to use

and which ones to avoid.

Try getting one without a collar strip

since it won't be needed

and cutting it off could cause the neck to warp.

I also recommend getting a sweater with a flat knit

as more intricate ones tend to be bulkier

and the twist will create added bulk.

This brings me to my last point

Make sure the sweater is lightweight.

Okay so first thing...

lay the sweater out with the back facing you,

then locate and cut down the center.

Be really careful when cutting not to nick the front

Afterwards, decide where you want the twist.

I chose the middle which was roughly 5 inches below the underarm

and marked it with a pin on both sides.

From the midpoint to the shoulders, cut a deep V.

For the other side,

I used the scraps as a guide to make sure they were both symmetrical.

As for the lower half,

cut a curve from the hem to the midpoint.

Now go ahead and cut across the midpoint,

stopping a half inch from the side seams.

After all that cutting, it should look something like this.

Before doing anything else,

surge or zigzag all the raw edges, to prevent them from fraying.

This also makes finishing the edges much easier later on.

Next, on one side

pin and sew the midpoint halfway

To sew, I used a small zigzag stitch and a ballpoint needle.

Ignore the fact that I pinned it a little past the halfway mark.

On the other side, close the midpoint leaving a 1 to 1 1/2 inch gap in the center.

Now with the seam laying flat under the gap,

sew a quarter inch around the edge.

Once you're done, it should look like an oversized buttonhole.

Before completing the twist,

finish the edges of the center back

by turning them under once and securing with a zig zag stitch.

I included the neck, to make it one continuous seam.

When sewing, do your best not to stretch the seam.

The areas you can't get with your machine, sew by hand.

After finishing the seam, I cleaned up the neck.

Now it's time, to do the twist

Seriously! I wish it was that easy!

Okay, for real this time.

So you're gonna take one of the flaps,

and thread it through the gap from the front,

to meet the other one in the back.

Once in the back,

with right sides facing,

pin the flaps together along the unfinished side.

Doing this should form another gap.

Before sewing,

check the front to make sure the gap is the same width as the first.

Now for the finishing touches

which you'll need to do by hand.

But first, fold under the edge of the gap

then adjust and pin the twist to your liking.

Once you're happy with it,

grab your needle and thread and whip stitch everything into place.

I want to mention that on the wrong side I also whip stitched the flaps

to the midpoint seam

to clean things up a bit.

and that's pretty much it.

I hope you found this tutorial helpful

and thanks for watching

But wait! There's more!

Of course I had to try it in reverse!

This look is a little daring

but definitely doable with a slight tweaking.

Let me know in the comments below what you think.

Trump Makes Chuck Schumer Cry His Eyes Out When He Sees Trump's New 70 Point Immigration Plan - Duration: 26:21.

Trump Makes Chuck Schumer Cry His Eyes Out When He Sees Trump's New 70 Point Immigration

Plan

To all doubting Thomases take note.

Trump just unveiled his immigration plan and the only one crying is Chuck Schumer.

And Nancy Pelosi but she is more whining that crying.

According to the Washington Times, the White House just submitted a 70-point enforcement

plan to Congress.

It is tough and what we need and includes the "stiffest reforms ever offered by an

administration."

These include a total rewrite of the current law to eliminate all loopholes illegal immigrants

have been using to create anchors in America to exploit.

President Trump is demanding the border wall, he wants more deportation agents – 10,000

more, he will absolutely start cracking on sanctuary cities and will impose stricter

limits to chain migration.

Then Trump said the words that made Schumer cry.

He said that when these are all made law only then will he talk about any compromise on

the DACA issue.

"Anything that is done addressing the status of DACA recipients needs to include these

three reforms and solve these three problems," a senior White House official told The Times.

"If you don't solve these problems then you're not going to have a secure border,

you're not going to have a lawful immigration system and you're not going to be able to

protect American workers."

"This proposal fails to represent any attempt at compromise," House Democratic Leader

Nancy Pelosi and Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer said according to Fox News.

"The administration can't be serious about compromise," Pelosi and Schumer added.

"We told the president at our meeting that we were open to reasonable border security

measures … but this list goes so far beyond what is reasonable."

No Nancy it does not.

As they say politics is the art of compromise and because you lost the election and hdo

not have power in either house of Congress you will need to do more compromising than

the side that won.

Because that is how democracy works.

him a really cool nice heavy quality head that the mouth does closed not all

the way he seems to open a little bit and then it does open all the way up 300

degree movement on the head and up and down because it is on a ball joint and

then it's the two arms have like a Gatling gun weapon on the front of them

and they are on ball joints they have we've ever seen

bazooka push it will fire off

take this

Former Google Engineer Hopes For Painful Death Of President Trump - Duration: 26:21.

Former Google Engineer Hopes For Painful Death Of President Trump

According to Buzzfeed, Kelly Ellis worked as a senior software engineer at Google from

2010 to 2014.

She currently works for Medium, a blog-publishing platform based in San Francisco.

She claimed she was sexually harassed at Google and the company did nothing but reprimand

her.

Kelly Ellis claimed her superiors made sleazy comments about her physical appearance and

made inappropriate comments about other women.

"I've tweeted in the past about being afraid to burn bridges.

Fuck them bridges.

They're not worth my self-respect," Ellis tweeted.

She explained how a superior said he was "taking all of my self-control not to grab your ass

right now."

"Rod Chavez is an engineering director at Google, he sexually harassed me Google did

nothing about it.

Reprimanded me instead of him," Ellis tweeted.

But now she is the in the news for all the wrong reasons.

She actually made public comments saying that she couldn't wait for President Trump to

die.

Then, crazily, she doubled down on her utter stupidity and went where no sane human being

would ever go, "I was just thinking to myself I kinda hope he's assassinated but OTOH

I want it to be as painful as possible," Ellis said.

Wow.

A new low for the "coastal elite."

Look this is how they reaaly think about Trump.

They do not think is is worthy to be President because he is not one of them.

They think his "different" kind of Presidency is a black stain on this nation with zero

proof.

All we do know for certain is that Trump will be judged by history and history alone.

And history

will not

be

kind to Obama and Bush and Clinton and Bush for

many things that Trump is trying to

clean up.

Like North Korea.

Those that came before him kicked the can down the road and left Trump little choice

but to think and act differently.

Because as even liberals know the definition of insanity is doing the

same

thing

over and over again and expecting different results.

Safelite isn't happy about that "creepy tech" sketch on SNL

The 43rd season of Saturday Night Live is still in its nascency so it hasn't yet earned Trump's ire, but it has managed to upset the good folks at Safelite AutoGlass.

This weekend's Gal Gadot-led outing included a sketch which saw Beck Bennett play a creepy, goateed Safelite tech who takes his on-call duties much more seriously when there's a cute teenager (played by Melissa Villaseñor) involved.

The repair tech quickly goes from helpful to unsettling, which is presumably not the image the company wants to project (although they should be impressed by Bennett's attention to detail in replacing the windshields he's intentionally busted—he's clearly a pro).

Safelite's social media team shared their disappointment with the sketch, calling it "a step too far" and hashtagging the whole thing as #notcool.

This marks the second time in as many weeks that the subject of a sketch—who isn't the president—responded to a bit after it aired; last Sunday, the creator of Papyrus was living it up after Ryan Gosling obsessed over his font.

Republicans Finally Admit That Trump Is Unfit For Office - Duration: 3:32.

Republican Senator Bob Corker from the state of Tennessee announced recently that he would

not be seeking reelection to the US Senate.

As such, he has taken this opportunity, knowing that he doesn't have to go face his constituents

again or deal with the wrath of any sitting Republican politician, he's using this opportunity

to come clean about what Republicans in Washington, DC really think about Donald Trump.

According to a recent interview that Corker gave to the New York Times, Republicans in

DC behind the scenes are talking constantly about the fact that Donald Trump is unfit

to be the president of the United States.

Again, Corker's free to say this now because he doesn't have to worry about Trump's wrath.

He doesn't have to worry about the Trump supporters back in his home state of Tennessee because

he's not going to run for office again, so he can finally come clean and tell the truth

about what Republicans are actually saying about Donald Trump in Washington, DC.

Here's why this matters.

First of all, the majority of people in this country believe that Donald Trump is unfit

to serve as president of the United States.

The majority of the public does not trust him at all.

They do not trust him on national security.

They do not trust him to handle the North Korea situation, and they do not trust him

to handle any disasters here in the United States because he's proven that he's going

to screw up every single one of those things because he's already screwed up every single

one of those things.

Corker's statement might give some of these Republicans in DC the clearance, the back-up

support to come forward and publicly admit that Donald Trump is unfit to serve for office,

but more importantly, it might give them enough courage to invoke the 25th Amendment and attempt

to remove Donald Trump from office in a way that doesn't even involve impeachment and

has nothing to do with the Bob Mueller special prosecutor investigation.

They could do it today, because there is no way that Donald Trump would be able to come

back and fully prove that he is mentally capable and perfectly fit to serve as president of

the United States.

The evidence against him is overwhelming, the wildfires in California, the flooding

in Houston, the hurricanes in Puerto Rico.

The evidence is there, if Republicans chose to move on it.

But here's the thing.

They won't.

How do we know?

Well, let's take a look at Lindsey Graham, one of the most vocal Donald Trump critics

in Washington, DC, allegedly, who spent the weekend playing golf with the president.

Then he got on Twitter, did an interview, talked about the fact Donald Trump shot a

73 in windy conditions.

What an amazing person.

I love him so much.

He's so great.

Graham was supposed to be some kind of anti-Trump super Republican?

No.

Those don't exist.

Republicans are talking a big game in public because they understand that the public doesn't

like Donald Trump, but at the end of the day they're going to side with him every single

time they get the opportunity.

Corker has as well.

It's refreshing to hear Corker come out and admit that Republicans are saying all these

things, but don't think for a second that any of them are actually going to

act on it.

School vs Real Life: The Truth - Duration: 3:57.

Hello and welcome back to CapOhTV, the channel where we know school is a joke but you still

have to do something.

Today's video might just be the simplest one I've ever done...

but it's also the most profound.

Today, I'm gonna highlight some of the differences between school and real life.

Some of you out there have no idea what real life is all about and I'm going to tell you

that little secret today.

Using the Bathroom.

Mr. Miller, I have to use the bathroom!

((Mr Miller)) You know the rule, no one's allowed to leave the class while I'm teaching

and I'm teaching something real important.

You're gonna have to wait!

((Student)) Too Late...

Hmm...

I have to use the bathroom.

I think I'll go.

Seating Charts.

((Teacher)) Hey!

You're not allowed to sit there!

The seating chart says you're sitting over there!

Hey, this looks like a pretty good seat.

I think I'll sit here.

Using Your Cell Phone.

((Teacher)) Hey!

Put that down!

Are you playing on your cell phone!

Hey, my Amazon package just shipped.

That's cool.

Let me go check Instagram.

Hmm... not much here.

Maybe Facebook?

Drinking Water.

Mr. Smith, can I go get a drink?

((Mr. Smith)) You know the rule, no drinking in class and the fountains are closed!

I'm thirsty...

Gee, I'm thirsty!

Eating Food.

Mr. Blue, I'm hungry and lunch is so far away.

Can I just eat a little snack?

((Mr. Blue)) You know the rule, no food allowed in class!

Wait till lunch!

Gee, I'm hungry.

Mmmm!

The Bell Schedule.

Mr. Brown, can I leave a few minutes early?

I have to get something from my locker and I don't want to be late for my next class.

((Mr. Brown)) You know the rule, wait for the bell.

The bell will tell you when class is over then you can leave.

Would you look at the time...

I wonder if I should leave now.

Yeah, I will.

Do I really have to point out what the big difference is between school and real life?

It's FREEDOM!

In school, you're bound by the school rules and you're bound by the traditions of the

school environment.

In real life, you have a little bit more freedom to do what you want when you want as long

as it's within the bounds of normal human decency.

But you can decide when you get to use the bathroom, when you get to eat, when you get

to drink, when you get to leave a place that you don't want to be in.

All of those things are up to YOU!

In school, you have to be like a programmed robot.

In real life, you get to act kind of like a human.

And that is the key difference between school and real life.

If you're still in school, what's the biggest thing about the real world that you're looking

forward to?

And if you're already out of school and you have been for a while, what's the thing that

you never realized was different in the real world vs in school?

Leave a comment down below and let's talk about that.

And if this was your first time here to CapOhTV and you also think school is a joke but you

know you still have to do something and you want to help spread that message, hit the

subscribe button now so you don't miss anything in the future!
