Hehey! Hello everyone! Alex from VapersMD is here
And i'm glad to welcome you on my channel
Today we have a long-awaited guest is Mirage by Lost Vape
With DNA75c chip on board and interesting Preheat and Punch option
This box mod support 3 type of batteries - 18650, 20700 and 21700
Everything is very nice and interesting, but we have things to talk about
Let's dive down right now to unbox the package and see how it works and after all that we will speak of its pros and cons
Let's roll
Okay folks, here we have stylish black package which have Mirage DNA75c on it and picture of the device itself. Here we have a Lost Vape logo.
Also on the top we have description of a new feature - New 100 watts Boost/Preheat function and support of 3 types of batteries - 18650, 20700 and 21700
On the sides of the package we have certificates, barcode, color mark
Social links
In here we have device logo and Lost Vape logo
Let's remove the sleeve and we see the most important things right away
First is the User Manual for DNA75c chip and its specs
Warranty card which gives 6 months of warranty
Branded spares package which includes Micro USB - USB cable for charging and for using E-scribe software
And 18650 battery adapter
And of course the box mod itself
Now it's time to look at specs - this mod is made of zinc alloy and available in 2 colors of the main body
Black and Dark Gray
Also body features acrylic inlay of different colors
This mod is powered by 1*21700/20700/18650 and it have DNA75c chip installed
One the new features of this chip is Preheat option up to 100W in TC mode. And Punch option, which i will show you later.
Other than that its standard DNA75c chip with all its features and possibilities - fine tuning with E-scribe software and charging via MicroUSB with 1A current
Okay, it's time for detailed overview and as always we start from the top and in order
On the top we have steel connector which is hold by 3 screws and 2 screws that hold the main body
Sadly those screws is steel color and they not fitting with black color of the top plate. I want these screws colored black
In terms of fitting atomizers this box mod have no problems - as you can see Gorgon RDCA is 26mm in diameter and it fits great. We also have some free space left.
Moving forward. Here's the control panel - Fire button with little hole - LED light inside there
DNA75c display and 3 adjusting buttons - + and - buttons and Menu button. And MicroUSB slot for charging and connection to E-scribe software
On the side we see acrylic inlay which is goes around the back of the mod
I can say it's interesting and it feels like soft-touch rubber
On the opposite site we have Mirage engraving
On the bottom we have a battery door and few vent holes
Also it have inscriptions - Mirage and designed and manufactured by Lost Vape
Over here it have slide-lock, if we pull it the door will automatically open because it's spring-loaded
I can say i like that battery door - it works great and it doesn't play and it's cool
In here we have negative contact marked with - and inside we have positive contact which is spring-loaded
As i said this box mod supports 3 types of batteries - 21700, 20700 and 18650 with adapter
It works like this - put your battery and then put the adapter. The contact inside is spring-loaded
After this close the door and slide this lock
18650 battery have an issue - they rattle. And it's one of a cons
Moving forward. You can use 20700 batteries as well. The process is the same
And again - sadly but 20700 rattle too
And now the last type of batteries you can use in this box mod and those batteries have no issues - 21700
Repeat the process
And there is no rattle
Vse horosho
After we put the battery inside the mod is automatically switch On and display shows us vital information
Battery life, adjustable wattage, voltage - it depends on resistance
Resistance lock option, Info, Preheat and Punch adjusting options and Menu
We can navigate on screen with + and - buttons, Up and Down to be exact so let's start from beginning
First is battery life. Select it and we can see the detailed information of the battery, temperature of the board and room temperature
Next - mode selection. At the moment we are in VW mode, but we can change it - press Menu and it will scroll though TC and back to VW
Next - wattage adjustment. You can adjust you wattage with + and - buttons
Next - Resistance. Here we can read the resistance again and lock it. Or lock it on the main screen directly.
Moving forward. Here we have System Diag - it have information of mod
In here we have battery and temperature info
Next we have USB Diag if its plugged in to PC
Next is Puff Records tab - mod gathers information of all puffs you made and give you detailed information about wattage and time.
Also you can adjust the information that will be displayed on the screen
Next tab is Live Puff - here you can observe how the mod works - puffs and what wattage, voltage is given etc
Last puff - self explanatory
Puff Count is overall statistics which can be reseted
And About tab - firmware version, service packs etc. Also it have interesting line Designed by DJLsb Vapes
This guy made a theme for DNA75c that is used by Lost Vape
Moving forward. We see a Preheat/Boost tab. In here you can either switch it On or Off
Also you can adjust Power and Temp for TC.
Here you can adjust Punch. Punch is Preheat option for VW
Yes, now we can adjust Preheat for VW.
By choosing this bar you can either increase or decrease it. Right now it's set on 13W and when you hit Fire button Punch will raise it to 15.5-16W. I will demonstrate it later
Next tab is Settings. In here you can select Profile, you can set Stealth On and Off, Time/date settings
Brightness adjustment - you can either set it to dim on minimal or make it bright on maximum
Celsius or Fahrenheit selection
And Lock adjustment - it is set on 5x clicks on Fire button right now. Minimal is 3 clicks, maximum is 10 clicks
Next tab is Auto Lock. Auto lock will lock you box mod after some amount of time. Right now it's set on 60 minutes and after this time box mod will automatically lock - it's like stand by mode.
Let's go back to the main screen
Let's figure out what Punch is. First - it's Preheat for VW.
Right now it's set on maximum as you can see and it's 13W.
Hit the Fire button. Voltage delivers to the coils
And now we can look at last puff info.
As you can see Energy was 5, Power was 17.8W and time - 1 second
And here it's still 13W
Now let's disable Punch.
Hit Fire button
Let's go to the Info tab and let's see Last Puff.
As you can see now Power is 13W and time is almost 3 sec. Energy is 9.
I can state - this mod have a Preheat for VW and it's cool
Okay folks, that was the box mod from Lost Vape
I think it's time for a face-time where we will speak of its pros and cons
Thanks for your attention in close up
Let's roll
Hopochki HEY
On the top i have Zesthia RTA by Asmodus and i vape it on 60W with Punch up to 70W.
This Preheat option is very comfortable in some kind of situations, especially if you can adjust it
Anyway i found some cons in this box mod. Let's talk about it right now
First con goes for battery rattle. It rattling with 18650 and 20700 and it's noticeable - they change their position inside.
That's why i recommend you to use only 21700 with this mod. They fit great.
Next con goes for the acrylic inlay - one side is protrudes and make an edge, on the other side it doesn't
Another con i'll give goes for steel screws which is on top part of the mod.
It's a pain to see steel screws on the black plate.
BLIN
Was it difficult to buy a black screws?
Besides, this mod have 2 color variations and in both cases Lost Vape uses steel screws. It looks bad and they should change them to black ones
Also i don't know why Lost Vape decided not to use any other colors for the main body - SS color for example
Because earlier that company used other colors. But this mod available only in dark colors
I would like to see the SS color for this mod, because there is a lot of SS atomizers that will fit that steel main body.
And now it's time to talk about pros
Even though this mod have issue with battery rattle i will give a pro for variety of battery types you can use with this mod
Let's say you don't have 21700 battery. You can still use 18650 or 20700 with this mod.
Or if your 21700 discharged and you only have charged 18650 nearby - you can use them while 21700 being charged
Next pro i'll give for DNA75c chip. I like this chip - it's easy to use and it's convenient.
Besides in this version there is Preheat option appeared for TC, as well as for VW as Punch feature.
Before this in DNA75c chips it was available only through E-scribe software
It's very great that this feature is available on the box mod itself. It's a pro.
Next pro goes for battery door. It's solid, it's convenient and it have no play. And it's spring-loaded.
Battery door is great. Major pro.
I'll give another pro for large fit for atomizers with big diameter.
It's good and it's convenient
Next pro i'll give for stylish design. Yes, it's tall, but it's due to support of 3 types of batteries. But you should know that it's tall.
Last pro i'll give for it's comfort grip. It's very convenient to hold - its tall but it's not wide.
It have a great fit in hand, large Fire button and it's comfortable to use. And it's a pro.
By the way i like this plastic inlay - though it's a plastic it feels like soft-touch rubber and it feels nice in hand
Last thing we discuss today is the price
Around the web this mod cost 120$ and it's pretty expensive, though it's roughly average price for Lost Vape products
But if you take some time to search coupons - you can find this mod for 96$ and here's the proof
For 96$ it is good box mod with DNA75c chip on board and good design.
Yes, there is some cons that i would like to get rid of, but if you like Lost Vape products or DNA chip - this box mod deserves your attention
V celom(overall), folks
