Alright, loves. As you can see I'm home. Makeup's off so

my face can breathe and it finally remembers what oxygen is. I had a really

good birthday week. I really appreciate the people in my life that made it

happen. The Monday of my birthday, I had a job

interview went to Hollywood area, got the job, so I'm gonna be a production

assistant at a pop-up. Not going to tell you all which one yet because, well, the

people in my life don't even know yet where I'm gonna be working so that gig

starts next month so yay for me. Not gonna lie a lot of this week was

preparing for the worst because it was said to pour on my birthday when it

actually just kind of poured in the morning and then turned out just fine.

So after I got the job, I treated myself to Thai food expecting like okay I'm

probably not gonna do much on my birthday so I'm gonna treat myself you

know. Spend a little bit more money. We actually did end up doing something on

my birthday. Surprise! Which, honestly, turned it into more of a birthday week. I

got to spend time with family which actually was really nice especially

because most the time my birthday ended up on finals week because the

school I went to was on the quarter system or when it was during spring

break, a lot of the time, I was at a convention

for an organization I volunteered for so my time was kind of spread thin and

because I still have friends that are in school... I don't know... I usually don't make

a big deal out of my birthday especially because everyone's busy or

they're stressed or they're just figuring life out so I very much appreciate the

people that took their time for me. One tradition I'm starting this year is... the

people in my life that are busy or I haven't heard from as often as I'd like,

I asked if they could do like a birthday call or catch up with me for my birthday.

That actually turned out really good like I've been able to catch up with

people this week and then I'm also catching up with people next week so yes

my birthday is extending another week but I'm really happy about that

especially I haven't seen a lot of my friends in a while. Moving back to LA, it

hasn't... it hasn't been the easiest especially a lot of my friends and a lot

of my support group are still in San Diego or some of them are moving back up

to the Bay Area and then in Los Angeles, I still have some old friends but at the

same time because I'm from a smaller town... it's kind of like 'okay most of my

friends goal is to get out of here.' So it's been an adjustment period. Alright!

Enough of the sappiness. I'll get to what I got for my birthday. One of my

stops was Sephora. I got a free (let's see if I can get this focus) basically, it just

says happy birthday in English and French. I think it's cute a nice little

touch to the birthday gift. It's... (let's see... let's get this to focus.... I'm not the

focus here... Beauty guru in the making. I'm failing at

like so it's like a mud mask as well as a moisturizer which I can definitely use.

As you can see my face right now, I definitely need to start treating it

better. I have been switching out my lipsticks so from Kat Von D, I got the

shade of Roxy. (Let's see if I can get that in focus.) I always love the design on her

lipsticks because it's kind of like Guns and Roses type feeling. Especially if you

don't know Kat Von D, she is a tattoo artist and her attitude towards makeup

is mainly like if you're wearing it, I better see it but she does have stuff

that're.. that's more on neutral tones but let's be real, when do I wear a

normal-looking lipstick? The shade is as bright as it looks. It's very much an

eggplant color or like a very, not quite electric purple, but it's pretty close.

Maybe take the shade of my shirt and then make it a little bit deeper and

darker. I'll probably try to wear the shade next Sunday for the next video.

I made a quick trip to Bath and Body Works (especially because my perfume's

running low). This is actually something I use a lot. I normally don't finish a

bottle but my mom and little sister have both stolen this from me often. That was...

That was the scent called Mad About You. It's a very like floral scent and I

don't want to say musky cuz I hate that word, but that's the best way to describe

it. Think of it like a fragrant floral arrangement. That's the best way I can

describe it; mixed in with like a deep smell of

something strongly sweet but since we're heading into spring or,

at least, I hope we're heading into spring... The rain lately has been really

weird and it's been extremely cold in California which tells you how

unpredictable the weather has been. I picked up some spring fragrances. At

least, something for the summer especially I don't wear the stronger-sweeter

scents during summer. I tend to go for stuff that are a little more floral but

yeah... I decided to get Beautiful Day which actually is really light, really

citru... not citrusy but it's almost there. Not completely tropical but also

not completely sweet, flower, musky smell. Also, I''m noticing they've really

changed the bottle this time around especially like there's no description

at all like to help me out to tell you what the smell is. Actually, not even on my

last bottle, just kidding! White Citrus is a smell I buy once in a blue moon because

it's a really lemony orange-y type smell like it has lemon zest, sparkling

grapefruit, *blah* sparkling grapefruit, ginger flower, freesia petals, and clean

wood *fails* clean wood. There we go. I like it. It smells like what you would

think a lemon or a citrus lotion would smell like.

It is like pretty stereotypical. I don't know much about perfumes, I just wear

them. And then... for my birthday, I went down to Little Tokyo. I had some drinks

with my friends and then got to know some new people. I think the best piece

of advice I got was "It's better to produce 9 songs that you're pretty happy

with in a month than constantly trying to work on the one perfect song because

then you might never produce enough content or

really never create anything because nothing we make is perfect." That

definitely has been pretty tough for me. I think I've been halting a lot of my

content lately. One, the construction's been driving me crazy.

Two, it's been really rough finding a time period where it quiets down and then

also, I kind of prefer to film where I'm home alone which hasn't been happening a

lot lately. So, I've kind of been in a constant fight with myself. Also, I'm

probably gonna dial back, not doing content two times a week. Not because I

can't do it. It's more that I'm not in the.. it's more that I'm not in a situation

where I feel comfortable doing that yet. Like I'm still gonna do Let's Talk

Tuesday's here and there because I like the concept and some of you really do

engage with me there but. at the same time, I don't want to deliver like a

half-assed video. Alright, if you made it this far, I do have some birthday

thank-yous. Thank you to my best friend, Cynthia, for checking in with me, making

sure I was enjoying my birthday, and having the conversation to check in and

see what I actually want from a birthday. I think the biggest difficulty a lot of

my friends have is I'm not the type for gifts. I don't care about gifts. I'd

rather buy myself something for my birthday but the most important thing

for me, for my birthday, is getting affirmation because that's my

top love language (aside from quality time which does come a close second). A

big thank you to Mai for being a great friend and all the heartfelt birthday

wishes. I think it was the shortest birthday wish but it was also the most

heartfelt and the most meaningful to me so thank you, love.

Thank you Raquel for practically being psychic and calling me up during my

birthday week. I was actually gonna reach out to you but you beat me to the punch

which makes me feel even more special. Thank You Lindon for being an absolute

sweetheart. I know you had finals this week so the fact you still sort of

remembered my birthday was nice *laughter* and I'm glad I got to catch up with you this

coming week.

That was the huge deal for me to just constantly fight that battle right of like don't break character

That was probably one of the hardest parts is just not wanting to just end it there and like stop talking

But you know you still had about five seconds left on the escalator ride
