Ever since LEGO Disney Minifigures came out in 2016,
we've patiently awaited a Series 2.
It's been two years,
and there has been no indication another one is coming.
But what if a LEGO Disney Minifigures Series 2
released in May 2019?
Assuming they'll keep that strange number of 18 minifigures,
which characters would be in it, realistically?
Once again, I collaborated with Ashnflash,
who did the incredible artwork for this video -
check his Flickr and Instagram accounts linked in the description.
Either way, I'm sure they'd do another variant for Mickey Mouse.
I was originally going to go with a Steamboat Willy
or Sorcerers Apprentice version,
but I ultimately decided on going with one
based on the direct to video Three Muskateers film.
Why this version?
Well, in the movie, Pluto has a role -
I couldn't incorporate Pluto with the other two variants.
That would be a new mould, and Mickey
would also have a big new hat mould that is just a peg attachment.
The headpiece would be the same, though.
Second is Goofy, of course!
It was a shame we didn't get him in Series 1.
You'll see some figures in this series without accessories -
this is something they did with Series 1,
where many characters had no accessories…
makes sense since Disney's characters are so popular,
they don't need accessories to sell.
I think his head piece and hat piece will be two seperate new moulds,
like what they did with the mice and ducks of Series 1.
Third is Scrooge McDuck, with a new head, hat, and cane mould.
The worst part is that LEGO's duck tale piece,
no pun intended, can't be dual colored
and it looks strange in between the torso and legs…
but oh well.
Then I have Jack Skellington from the Nightmare Before Christmas,
who I think will be a hit with the Hot Topic crowd,
and is a huge merchandise star.
I didn't want to go with the retired long legs
and arms but who knows, maybe they'd do that.
The only new mould would be Zero
- the ghost dog -
which I think would have a tube in the middle
that you can put the stand on to make him float.
The shoulder pad piece was used with Shredder
back in the day and works perfectly.
And, here's a hot take - what if the reason Frozone
wasn't in the Incredibles sets
is because they're saving him for a series like this?
He's the only Pixar character I have in here,
and his accessory is a little ice board -
no new moulds, it's a recolor
of the army man stand from the Toy Story line.
We just took the design from the LEGO Incredibles video game trailer.
Sixth is Hercules, which I think
is a popular enough hero to be a top contender for a spot.
There would be a new hairpiece with a nice dual moulded band,
and the sword would be a base yellow with grey printing up top.
Seventh is Hades, one of my favorite Disney villains.
He would have a complex head attachment,
and his legs would also be a new mould
similar to Ursula's from Series 1.
Then there's Princess Jasmine,
whose hair piece would be the same mould
from the Disney Princess line -
which was an awesome hard plastic.
The arms used to have printing on them,
but I asked Ashnflash to remove it
since it seemed like the sleeve printing
that wraps around completely would be too complex
and out of LEGO's wheel house.
She would come with a newly moulded Abu.
With Jasmine we also have Jafar,
another popular Disney villain.
The snake staff from Ninjago is a perfect reuse,
the shoulder pad is an old piece reused as well,
and the cape will have printing like how Maleficent's did.
The only new mould would be his headdress.
Then I have Anna from Frozen.
I'm not sure why Series 1 had no Frozen characters,
but Series 2 has to have some, especially with Frozen 2 coming out in 2019.
Anna doesn't need an accessory,
and I couldn't think of anything small to include -
her hair piece will be a new rubber mould,
similar to the Disney Princess one but more accurate.
She'd also use the new dress piece from 2018.
Elsa is easy to cram in accessories to -
with the existing snow baby and an ice piece.
The only new mould would be her hair piece -
like her sister's,
it would be a rubber material.
We can't forget the tale as old as time,
with a Belle figure.
A few new moulds here -
Belle's hair, a new dress piece,
and maybe we went a little overboard,
but there's a newly moulded Chip as an accessory.
The printing might be too complex for Chip,
but I thought it would be a fun inclusion.
Of course, we have to have Beast as well.
This was a bit hard to translate into LEGO form,
with the LEGO minifigure eyes and such -
the head piece is similair to the Yeti's from Series 11,
and he has the case with a printed flower
on a 2x2 round plate as an accessory.
One thing missing from Series 1 was Cinderella -
especially since we got her castle as a set,
I mean come on.
She would have a pumpkin as an accesory,
that new dress piece from Belle,
and a reuse of her rubber mini doll hair.
A fun inclusion would be Pooh Bear,
a simple minifig with a new moulded head,
and a reuse of the pot piece with Hunny printed on.
We can't have Pooh without Tigger,
who would have a new moulded head and tail as well,
and the accessory of a red balloon -
a color we haven't gotten that new Series 18 balloon piece.
Continuing with the animals,
moving to the world of Zootopia,
we have Officer Judy Hopps,
with a badge and a carrot accessory.
Well, it can be her carrot recorder
if you look at it that way.
Her head would be a new mould.
And, finally, we have Nick Wilde from Zootopia.
His tail was a pain in the butt,
since it looks so intrusive,
but there's not much we can do,
you could see it from the back.
And his head mould is a new piece,
with a popsicle accessory.
So here's the checklist for the series,
again props to Ashnflash for the absolutely incredible artwork.
He did the hard work,
and it's so cool seeing my ideas all come to reality.
The only glaring exclusions would be more Toy Story characters,
and I feel that they wouldn't be included
since I'm sure more Toy Story 4 sets
will be coming out around May 2019.
Trust me, I have more ideas,
but one day I'll do a CMF Draft of a Series 3.
Five dollar up Patreon supporters
can vote on the next CMF draft,
check out the card to go to the poll.
Other options in the poll include a Harry Potter Series,
LEGO YouTubers, a Marvel Cinematic Universe Series,
and more.
But I also want to hear from you guys in the comments -
who was left out,
and what accessories would you give them?
Leave your thoughts in the comments below.
I'll see you guys later,
peace out, bye.
