Veg Kheema Masala Recipe | How to Make Veg Kheema | Kheema Matar | Soya Granules Curry - Duration: 6:21.

veg kheema masala is a soybean granules curry dish best paired with naan, a type of roasted, Indian leavened bread

here are the ingredients we need. these are listed in the description box along with their quantities

2 tbsp clarified butter. you can optionally use oil if you wish

1.5 cups soy granules

1/2 cup frozen green peas, or fresh if you so prefer

1 onion, pureed

2 tomatoes, pureed

1 tbsp ginger garlic paste

1 chopped green chili

3 tbsp chopped cilantro

1/2 tsp coriander powder

1/2 tsp garam masala

1 tsp rock salt or table salt if you wish

1/2 tsp turmeric powder

1 tsp kashmiri red chilli powder or 1/2 tsp red chili powder

1 tsp meat masala. this is optional

400 ml water

we will boil the soya granules now

put 1 liter water in a wok and heat till it comes to a rolling boil on high heat

now add the soya granules and boil until they turn soft, about 5 minutes

keep heat on medium

keep stirring to prevent the water boiling over

after 5 minutes the granules are soft

put off the heat and strain out the water then wash them well under running water until they are nice & clean, and smell good

after washing keep them aside

now prepare the masala

keep a pan on medium heat. add 2 tbsp clarified butter and let it melt

now reduce heat to medium and put the onion puree. saute until light pink, about 2 minutes

then add the ginger garlic paste and chopped green chili & saute until the mixture turns medium brown, about 3-4 minutes

add the tomato puree and stir cook until the ghee separates out of the mixture and most of the water dries up, about 2 minutes

reduce heat to low and add in all the spices - coriander powder, red chili powder, garam masala, turmeric powder, salt & meat masala

skip the meat masala if you wish to. Cook for 1/2 a minutes and keep stirring

now add the boiled soya granules and stir roast them till they turn brown, about 7-10 minutes. raise/lower heat as required

add the green peas as well

after 10 minutes the soya granules are well roasted

raise heat to high and add 400 ml water and mix well

you may add more or less water depending on the consistency of the gravy you like

add 2 tbsp cilantro as well and stir. let the water come to a boil

once it is boiling reduce heat to low and cover with a lid. cook for 5-7 minutes till you get the desired gravy consistency

after 7 minutes our dish is ready

we will transfer it and garnish with some cilantro

Photoshop tip for artists: eliminating white pixels for smaller file storage/ narrated tutorial - Duration: 6:08.

Hello, my name is Rick Bonilla and thank you for spending a little time with me.

I'm bringing you another video of another Photoshop hack that I use that is also

worked very well for me. I could get all technical and give you all the ctrl, alt,

shift button combinations and numbers, but like most artists I'm a visual

person so I'm gonna go through it the long way. Clicking the button so you can

see what I'm actually doing and then if you know the shortcuts or go online and

look up the shortcut, you can incorporate it to your work. This is something that

is not set in stone, so you can use it with your artwork you can use it as part

of your process or you don't have to use it at all.

We're gonna start by opening

with a file that I created in the previous video. I have it saved as a TIF.

which is a file that I've always use.

As you can see this file is ready for coloring.

Now the easiest way to do it.

Or the easiest way that comes to mind is to

duplicate the layer.

Change the opacity of the top layer.

Create a layer that you're gonna sandwich in between them [the other two layers].

And there's where you are going to do the coloring.

Now with this method, anything you put in that middle

layer is going to be covered by the black pixels.

And that is not a bad way of doing it.

But you're still having to look at the size of the file.

Because those white pixels,

are not going away and they're still being stored as information.

So let me show you what I do in order to make the file smaller, and get rid of the

white pixels. I start by selecting the entire file. Now you're gonna go to

the select,

all,

then you're gonna go to edit,

copy,

Then you're gonna go to your channels palette.

Gonna create a new channel.

You can leave it the way it is, or you can rename it so you know.

where it is.

Press OK.

Then, you're going to select the Channel

Got you your edit tab.

Paste paste the selection.

And go to the select tab.

And load the selection.

Once we have this done.

You don't need the channel anymore.

So you can go ahead and delete it.

Go back to your layers pallet .

Create a new layer.

In this case I created two layers to show you how It works.

You're going to take your

filler tool and on the top layer .

You're going to go ahead and fill in all the

areas that are supposed to be black.

To make sure you have done it correctly,

go ahead and

deselect

all the layers

that way all you see is a clear background.

leave the background one [layer] deselected,

and engage the middle layer.

This one you're going to go ahead and fill it in with white.

So you cover the background one [bottom layer] completely,

just to make sure that you get it correctly.

After that activate the top layer.

and you will see.

That your drawing is there.

now if you go ahead and deactivate

the background layer.

You will see that all you have now.

is the black pixels.

and you have effectively eliminated

the white pixels out of the layer.

Now the only thing you have on this layer

is your black pixels.

Now comes the important part of the lesson.

Got to file.

Save as.

And when you pick

what file format you're gonna use

this time go for the CompuServe

GIF.

Effectively making it a transparent GIF file.

Go head and save it.

This is what I wanted so show you.

you can see the TIFF file

it's 7.6 megabytes

the Photoshop file

is 4.1 megabytes

yet the transparent GIF

because it only has the black pixels

752 k bytes.

Next time you are working with somebody who has a bad

internet connection, instead of sending him the

tri-killa-giga-megawatt

trillion size file.

Send them the little file, they'll thank you for it.

you'll get a lot more done, plus it'll save you a lot of space in your hard drive.

To have a brown-skinned the normals that you have is much healthier

I tell you even my family back home

They always told me that

that i have

a dark skin and

I need to do something

to make it Whiter skin

Tell everybody that I am beautiful. I am smart

and of course were physically

Good-looking

So everybody told me like this

why among the members of the family? I have a dark skin tone

And I was thinking is this important for me to be a successful woman

I need to have a whiter skin?

I Always think about this to myself

But because of the influence of the environment and the people that surrounds you

everybody was using

beauty products everybody is

This just very very conscious about themselves

Especially the women back home

So I tried a lot of beauty products

From skin whitening

from skin whitening soap from skin whitening lotion

skin whitening cream

Whatever whitening it is. I already tried

but I

Get a lot of rushes in my skin after all

I Must say that. Oh my god, this is crazy

Everybody go crazy back home

about this whitening soup

Even you go to the market

Even the facial cleanser everybody said oh my god your free facial cleanser they have

something about whitening

Those people that they are not Asians they said that it was

it's very very bad to have a

Products in our country to use our products because of this whitening

ingredients

And do you know that?

If you have or if force yourselves to become whiter to have a whiter skin

you get

skin cancer

In the end

I'm not an expert. I'm not a medical expert but

I've seen a lot of

girls in the television

After they use this kind of product

their skin becomes very

Very dry and a lot of rushes and they are already rushed to the

they already rushed

in the hospital is because of this

What was the reason

Why asians

Love to become whiter

Why the always wish to be?

To have a porcelain skin.

I Wish myself also to be whiter, but I never been white in my entire life

It was very very shocking when I use a certain whitening soap for my self

I get so so sad

My skin gets dry

And I got skin rushes

It's just my skin is very very

sensitive

Everything that includes whitening product, so I stop it

When I visit my family

One year ago

Even in the airport, they told me that it was very surprising in the airport, you know

What happened to you, I thought that you are you have a whiter skin you still have a dark skin and

You know you miss your family that

But it is hard, you know

But everybody said that I still have this dark skin and I can get out of this dark skin

I was very very shocked instead of having them and telling them hey guys and miss you, but

They just told me this

crazy

thing crazy facts crazy statement that my I don't have a

whiter skin why I never get white

and i said that

But there's no white soap in Denmark

All people have used natural one.

They just want to use

You still don't be saying you never change of course I wouldn't change because of this stupid thing

But what was the main reason why asians love to become white?

Why?

Number one

they like to

They like to be physically attractive and they like to be a

Whiter skin among their family members

and they think that we cannot get a good job if you don't have

Good posture you don't have a good skin tone

Like everybody discriminating you

It's hard. It's really hard to stay there in our country

Number two: They are saying that nobody will like you if you have a darker skin

it's not attractive at all to have a dark

skin

This crazy very crazy thinking those

people those girls that are using this kind of

crazy products whitening soap whatever whitening is

I'm just gonna tell you my porcelain dream

Never come true.

I Stopped using those whitening soap

For how many years back.

I Got sick with this

This is fake

If you become white, but you were born to be a darker skin, of course, of course this is fake

You are not proud with yourself because you know that

you invest alot of things

to be more more good looking

Its not right to invest something for your skin rathen than invest something that you can used it in the future.
