Youtube daily report w Nov 4 2018

Man Utd news: Is Jose Mourinho to blame for Red Devils' slow starts? Pundit offers theory - Duration: 3:31.

That's the verdict of Danny Murphy, who thinks Jose Mourinho's men are more worried about losing games in the first 45 minutes

The Red Devils fell behind again with Callum Wilson netting in the 11th minute after Ryan Fraser had earlier wasted a fine goalscoring opportunity

Bournemouth might have ran away with it but paid for their profligacy with Anthony Martial equalising for United despite the Cherries' superior play

United improved after their substitutions and one of their introductions, Marcus Rashford, was on hand to fire in a stoppage-time winner after Paul Pogba's cross

But despite claiming the full three points, Mourinho was furious with his side's first-half display

He told BT Sport: "We were defensively awful. Absolutely awful. And when I say defensively I don't just mean my defenders, I mean as a team

"At half-time I thought I was the luckiest manager in the Premier League because to be 1-1 in a half where it should be like 5-2 or 6-2, we were really lucky because we were really poor

"We didn't press. The work we did during the week - I feel like people watching this game won't believe how hard we trained this week

The first half was a disaster."  In their last seven matches in all competitions, United have scored just twice in the first half - conceding seven goals

By contrast, in the second half of those matches, they have netted eight times and conceded just three

And Mourinho admitted that he cannot reason for United's slow starts. "I can't understand," he added

"My assistants were saying this is the best warm-up of the season. The week was a very good week of work, so I can't believe how bad we started

" And offering a possible explanation for United's tendency to begin matches sluggishly, Murphy told Match of the Day that Mourinho's men look shorn of self-belief early on in games

He laughed: "Well if the manager doesn't know…  "You know what, I think there's a lack of confidence at the moment

"In that when they start games, they're more worried about losing the game than thinking, 'We're just going to go and win it!'  "Then when they go a goal down, they play with a freedom

" United will know they cannot afford another slow start when they face Juventus in the Champions League in Italy on Wednesday night (8pm) - though the Serie A champions are unbeaten in 14 games in all competitions this term, having won 13

How to Make a Picnic Table - Plans and Instructions - Duration: 7:24.

Welcome back to make bill modify I'm Justin and today we're going to turn

this pile of lumber into a picnic table.

Okay I'm going to break all this lumber down into the parts of the picnic table.

I'm using my plans as reference during this build. These plans will be linked in

the description and at the end of the video if you're interested. I'm currently

cutting down all of the planks for the top and the seats of the bench. Now that

I'm done with the table top and seat planks I'm going to move on to the

a-frame parts. I'm going to cut the horizontal pieces that hold the table

top and the seats. My plans show that you get one small and one large out of an

8-foot piece of lumber and that's important because these plans are

designed to use ten 2" x 6" and to be as efficient as possible. Now that the

horizontal pieces of the a-frame are cut we can move on to the legs. The legs are

basically parallelograms with angles cut on the top and bottom. My plans show the

angle and the reference locations.

You can get two legs out of one 8'x2"x6" and there's a little bit

of extra wood left over with these legs so just pay attention and maybe move the

location of the legs to cut out any unwanted knots or blemishes in the

lumber. At this point if you've done everything correctly this is the last

2"x6". It's going to be for the final cleat it goes underneath the table

top boards and the two braces that keep the table from racking back and forth.

This is the piece that needs to get ripped in half to produce the two braces.

I usually get close and then flip the second board over and cut the last

little scrap off so I don't have to try to get the blade exactly in the center.

Taking a quick check on my angles to see if I'm getting them right.

I designed the angle of these to cross each other under the table that way the

two pieces that are intersecting and have a screw go through them and they

will be a little stronger for bracing. You'll see that a little later on in the

video. I'm using a quarter inch radius round over bit. This step is completely

optional. You could use a rasp to kind of ease the edges or you could do nothing.

This is something that's extra in the build and it just depends on how far you

want to go with it.

Now that all the pieces are ready to put together I'm doing the layout for the

a-frame. The plans show the distances to measure for the horizontal pieces

relative to the legs. You could do this on a flat piece of plywood and just draw

the lines. I prefer to use nails and create positive stops and it's a lot

easier when you're installing them. You don't have to think about where you're

placing the pieces. Especially if you're doing more than one picking table.

Now I can locate the horizontal pieces in the same location over and over again.

Now I'm marking the offset for where the legs are going to cross through those

horizontal sections both top and bottom and I'm going to line the legs up flush

with the top of the top horizontal piece. I'm using a speed square to make sure.

You want to run only one screw in the top portion and one in the lower

portion and do that on both legs. This allows you to adjust the a-frame before

putting the rest of the screws in. I'm doing cross measurements to see if those

two respective measurements are the same.

When they are, you can finish putting in the rest of the fasteners. Now for the

tricky part. You have to line these up and fasten the first top piece without

them falling over on you. You might want to get help with from a friend or just

lean it against something like I did here. I'm finding the offset for this on

each side and I'm going to tack one screw into it on each board. I'm also

using a square to kind of estimate whether or not those are square to the top piece.

Now you can put the second screw in and start moving forward with the rest of

the top pieces. I always check to make sure that they're

following the profile as they should. The same method could be used for

installing the seat planks. I always push the first plank all the way up against

the legs and then just make sure they have the right offset. Now it's time to

flip the table over. I always sweep the floor or find a work

surface that won't damage the top when I'm working on it because it's got to

sit on the top. You might want to get help flipping the table over. We're going

to install the cleat and the braces now. The cleat goes Center on the underside

of all the top planks and I install two screws per top plank. Now I need to mark

center on the cleat and center on the two horizontal pieces of a-frames.

These center marks are going to give us a location for the braces. I'm aligning

the first brace to one side of center and I'm using the same fasteners to run

toe screws and end screws into the brace. I'm aligning the second brace to the

other side of the line so they cross and I always add another screw going through

the two braces. There you have it. A complete picnic table that seats four.

This should only take a couple hours if you follow my instructions and plans.

I'll leave a link in the description and at the end. Thank you for watching

Get On Your Feet - 11/04/2018 - Duration: 27:31.

male announcer: The following program is paid for by the

friends and partners of "Touching Lives."

James Merritt: I'm thankful we live in the age of the

Internet and podcasts and radio and television and

live streaming, but I wanna tell ya,

I don't care how advanced we get in our technology.

I don't care how brilliant we get in every other way we can

carry the message.

God's number-one method to fulfill his mission and to share

his message will always be our feet.

announcer: Teaching people everywhere who Jesus is and

why they need him, this is "Touching Lives"

with James Merritt.

James: Your feet are super important to God.

Now, you may not think about that.

You may think, "Wait a minute.

You mean the God that runs the universe?

You mean the God that keeps things flowing and going?

You mean that God's concerned about my feet?"

He is very concerned about your feet,

and your feet are very important to him.

But it's better than that.

If your feet take you where God gave you your feet for you to

go, your feet are actually not just important to God,

they are beautiful to God.

So, I have to stand corrected because even though I've never

really thought about feet are beautiful,

God evidently does, and I wanna show you where I found that

in God's Word.

If you brought a copy of God's Word,

I'm gonna be in an Old Testament book today called Isaiah.

Now, don't let that scare you.

You just kinda start turning toward the middle of the Bible,

you'll run into Isaiah.

We're in Isaiah chapter 52, and you can look on with me.

We're gonna throw a verse up on the screen here in a moment,

or you can look it up on your iPhone,

or your smartpad, or whatever you're looking at.

But let me kinda give you a background on

what's going on here.

Isaiah was a prophet, and Isaiah was speaking to the nation of

Israel, and he shared something that God specifically revealed

to him about, of all things, about feet.

Now, listen to what this verse says: "How beautiful on the

mountains," this is God speaking to Isaiah.

"How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring

good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings,

who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion,

'Your God reigns!'"

Now, that's a staggering thought

to me, and that's one reason I love the Bible,

because every time I read it, almost without exception,

I find things that I never thought about before.

I would have never known that God would have looked at feet

and said, "Those feet are beautiful.

I just love looking at their feet.

I just think those feet are just absolutely gorgeous."

But now here's the catch.

God thinks that feet are beautiful,

not primarily because of how they look.

It's not because, ladies, your toenails are polished,

or, guys, your toenails are trimmed,

or anything like that.

It has nothing to do with aesthetics.

God thinks your feet are beautiful not because of how

they look, but because of where they can take you,

and because of where they can go.

Let me put it to you this way.

God did not give you feet so you could go where you want to go.

He gave you feet so you can go where he wants you to go.

Listen to that carefully.

God didn't give you feet so you can go where you wanna go.

He gave you feet so you can go where he wants you to go.

Now, if you are a follower of Jesus,

and I'm gonna talk to you for just a moment.

If you are a follower of Jesus, God wants your feet to take you

to people who need Jesus.

God wants you to use your feet to take you

to people to share Jesus.

Now, let me just say a word to those of you,

you're not a follower of Jesus.

You're not a believer.

You may be a guest of ours for the first time.

Maybe you just kinda showed up out of curiosity.

Maybe you've been thinkin' about Christianity.

I don't know exactly where you are on your spiritual journey,

but I just need to prepare you for something.

You may not like it.

You may wonder why we do it, but I just wanna be honest.

If you're not a follower of Jesus,

we serve a God that expects us to use our feet to walk to you

so we can share Jesus with you.

So, if you wonder sometimes, "Why do these Christians feel

the need and the necessity to share their faith and to tell

people about their faith?"

It's not just something that we do with our mouth.

It's actually something we do with our feet.

Now, I want you to do this for me.

I want every one of you right now to look down at your feet,

or just look down.

I know you're wearing shoes, but kinda use your X-ray vision and

look down right now, and I want you to see your feet.

Now, listen carefully.

I don't want you just to see the shoes you're wearing.

I don't want you just to think about your toes or your toenails

or your arches or your bones or your feet.

Here's what I want you to think about.

Maybe for the first time for many of you today,

I want you to think about where those feet can take you.

And I want you to think about, just for a minute today,

what God could do with your feet,

what those feet can do for God, and where those feet can take

you for God.

Because according to what God said to Isaiah,

when I look at my feet, and you look at your feet,

we oughtta realize why we have our feet to begin with,

and what our feet are supposed to be doing,

and where they're supposed to be going.

Here's what Isaiah said.

Number one: our feet have a message to share.

Our feet have a message to share.

Now, the feet that God thinks are beautiful are not ordinary,

run-of-the-mill, dime-a-dozen, everybody-has-them feet.

God's talking about a particular kind of feet that he thinks are

just absolutely beautiful.

"These are feet that bring good news.

These are feet that proclaim peace.

These are feet that bring good tidings.

These are feet who proclaim salvation.

These are feet who say to Zion, 'Your God reigns!'"

Now, in case you don't know that, or that

hasn't really registered with you,

and particularly if you don't read the Bible or

you don't know much about the Bible, let me

tell you what you're reading right now.

You ready?

That is the message of the Bible.

If you wanna know what the Bible is about,

you're reading it right there.

It's about good news.

It's about peace.

It's about good tidings.

It's about salvation.

It's about a God that reigns and rules over the entire universe.

That is the message of the Bible.

By the way, that message is the message of Jesus.

Oh, by the way, that is the message of Christmas.

If you wanna know what Christmas really is all about,

it's not about Rudolph.

It's not about Santa Claus, not about the reindeer,

not about jingle bells.

It's all about what's tied up in this verse right here.

It's what the Bible message is.

It's what the Jesus message is.

It's what the Christmas message is.

By the way, that's not only the Christmas message.

That is the message of Easter.

Or to put it very simply, that's what we call "the gospel."

Because there is a message of peace.

We can say to a world that's filled with strife and conflict

and war that "in Jesus Christ, there's internal peace."

That is, you can know you're right with God.

There is external peace.

You can know that God in control of the universe.

There is eternal peace.

You can know you have a relationship with God

that will never, ever end.

So, you got a message of peace.

Then he says, "We've got good tidings.

We've got good news."

That's what we call "the gospel."

"The gospel" literally means "good news."

Now, by the way, I know you know this,

we live in a world filled with bad news.

The lead news story every time you turn on your local

news broadcast will always be bad news.

The lead headline in a newspaper will always be bad news.

You turn on the radio, they're gonna lead with bad news.

Do you know why I love Jesus so much,

and why I love the Bible so much,

and why I love the gospel so much?

Because we always lead with good news.

My major message is not bad news.

My major message is good news.

You say, "Okay, well, what is the good news?"

Well, it's all found in that simple little word

called "salvation."

That is the good news.

Now, that's good news because Jesus died on the cross.

Jesus came back from the dead so that God's salvation,

his forgiveness, and his eternal life is available to anybody

that wants it.

I love to be able to say to anybody,

no matter what their station is in life,

no matter what's going on in their life,

no matter how bad they have messed up their life,

or how badly they've ruined their life,

I can say to them, "You know what?

Salvation for you is a prayer away.

Forgiveness for you is a prayer away.

Eternal life for you is a prayer away.

Peace with God with you is a prayer away."

Now, I just have a simple question.

So, when I read about good news, and I read about peace,

and I read about salvation, let's just take those three

words right there.

I got a simple question.

Who needs peace? Who needs salvation?

And who needs good news?

I'll tell you the answer to that:

Everybody, everybody needs peace.

Everybody needs good news. Everybody needs salvation.

And neither geographical distance nor language barriers

nor cultural differences should stop our feet from carrying the

gospel to everyone who needs it.

So, every person on planet Earth, it doesn't

matter their color, their wealth,

their education, their position, their influences,

every person on earth needs to hear,

"There's good news about peace.

There's good news about salvation.

There's good news about Jesus Christ.

There's good news about eternal life."

However, the vast majority of people who deserve to hear it

and need to hear it will never hear it unless our feet take us

to them so that they can hear it.

And I don't know whether you believe this or not.

I hope you do.

There's not one tribe, there's not one tongue,

there's not one people group, there's not one nation that does

not deserve to hear the missionary message of

salvation through Jesus Christ.

You know, I got to thinkin' about this the other day.

And sometimes this thought hits me and it really humbles me.

We didn't ask to be born in America.

We didn't win the lottery. It wasn't the luck of the draw.

God, in his goodness, and God, in his grace,

for the most of us here, allowed us to be born in this country.

We could have been born in the darkest,

deepest part of the most remote jungle in South

America or Africa.

We could have been born under the regime of a North Korea

or another Communist nation, but we were born here.

And so, it's very easy for us to kind of take for granted the

things we get to hear and the things we get to see almost on

an every day basis.

And I just want you to understand,

I just really believe that every tribe,

and every tongue, and every nation deserves to hear at least

one time what we hear day after day after day

after day after day.

And why do I believe that?

Because Jesus Christ gave to every church and to every

Christian one job description.

He said, "I want you to go, and I want you to

make disciples of all nations."

He said that to everybody.

He said that for everybody.

Here's what I want you to understand.

There are some people, and some of you are listening

to me right now, there are some people think,

"Well, missions is only for professional missionaries."

If you are a follower of Jesus, we are all missionaries.

We are all--nobody gets a pass.

We are all missionaries.

By the way, well, you say, "I haven't heard God calling me

to be a missionary."

We don't need a voice to call us.

We've got a verse that commands us: "Go and make disciples."

I love the way a medical doctor put it.

Listen to what he said: "No one can say,

'Since I'm not called to be a missionary I do not have to

evangelize my friends and neighbors.'

There is no difference in spiritual terms between

a missionary witnessing in his hometown and a

missionary witnessing in Katmandu, Nepal.

We are all called to go--even if it is only to the next room or

the next block."

We're all called.

If you are a believer, you are a missionary.

Not all missionaries are believers.

We've got missionaries who are missionaries of false religions.

So, not all missionaries are believers,

but every believer is a missionary.

And our missionary feet are to go to mission fields locally,

nationally, and internationally so that others can hear the good

news about the salvation and the peace and the joy that

comes through knowing Jesus Christ.

So, our feet have a message to share.

Everybody got it?

Number two: our feet have a mission to fulfill.

Our feet have a message to share.

Our feet have a mission to fulfill.

Now, listen to the first part of this verse again: "How beautiful

on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news."

Now, it's interesting that the things we kinda notice

with people that we think are beautiful,

God doesn't even notice.

He doesn't say, "How beautiful are the eyes" or "How beautiful

are the lips, how beautiful is the face."

He says, "How beautiful are the feet."

See, your eyes can look upon a world that needs God.

Your ears can hear about a world that needs God.

Your lips can even talk about a world that needs God.

But what good does it do anyone in the world if you see a world

that needs God and you hear about a world that needs God

and you talk about a world that needs God?

What good does that do if our feet does not take them into

that world so that they can hear about the God that loves them?

That's exactly why God gave you those feet.

By the way, the reason why the emphasis is on feet,

I think you probably know this, but if you don't,

why does he talk about feet?

Well, because in Bible days, quite frankly,

the way most people got around was they walked.

You know, you had to be rich to even own a camel or a donkey or

somethin' like that.

The vast majority of people walked,

and that's why there's so much emphasis on feet.

See, today, right, we can drive.

We can fly.

We can sail, but guess what?

Ultimately, you still gotta walk to the car.

You still gotta walk to the plane.

You still gotta walk to the ship.

These feet were made for a mission.

Now, I want you to understand this.

There's no special class of feet.

There's no special category of feet.

The feet of a Christian who is living as a missionary on

a foreign mission field is no different from the feet of a

Christian who's selling insurance in Atlanta, Georgia.

It's the same feet. See, we get this idea.

"Okay, missionaries are kinda like the Navy Seals of Jesus."

You know, we get this idea.

"Missionaries are kinda like a super Christian

with a super calling."

Now, I'm gonna give you a shock right now.

This is somethin' I didn't know till I prepared this message.

This is gonna blow your mind.

Did you know that the word "missionary" is never found

in the Bible?

Isn't that amazing? I would have never thought.

I'd have flunked the test on that three weeks ago.

The word "missionary" is never found anywhere in the Bible.

And I thought about that, and I thought,

"Wow, we talk about missions, and we talk about missionaries.

God, you didn't even put it in your Bible."

And it hit me.

Do you know why the word "missionary" is never used

in the Bible?

Because we are all missionaries, no exemptions,

no exceptions, no exclusions.

We are all missionaries.

Every pair of feet is under the same Lord,

has the same message, and the same mission.

We are all commanded to go.

Someone has said it like this.

I love the way someone--someone put it this way: "It is not so

much that God has a mission for his church in the world as it is

that God has a church for his mission in the world."

I'm gonna say that again.

"It is not so much that God has a mission for his church in the

world as it is that God has a church for his

mission in the world."

So, if you're a part of the church,

you have a part in this mission.

So, I'm gonna use a military analogy.

If you're like too many believers,

and you've spent your entire Christian life AWOL,

you've never gone on a mission trip,

never thought about goin' on a mission trip,

you've never even thought about crossing the street and trying

to be a witness to your neighbor,

I'm going to ask you in a moment to get back in God's army and

let your feet fulfill the mission your feet were

created for.

Our feet have a message to share.

Our feet have a mission to fulfill.

And then Isaiah said one last thing:

"Our feet have a master to serve."

Our feet have a master to serve.

Now, I want you to listen to the last part of this

message that these feet bring.

Listen to this: "Who say to Zion,

'Your God reigns!'"

Now, three last words, "Your God reigns!"

Very, very important.

It's almost as if God were saying to Isaiah,

"Isaiah, make sure you tell your people it's not just any

run-of-the-mill god that reigns.

It's your God that reigns.

And oh, by the way, it's not that your God is just around.

It's not just that your God is there.

It's not just that your God kinda shows up occasionally.

Your God reigns.

Your God rules.

Your God is in charge.

Your God is in control."

The destiny of every human being who has ever lived or ever will

live is in the hands of this God,

and this is the God who so loved this world that he gave his only

Son to die for our sins.

This is the God that we are to serve.

This is the God that we are to share.

So, the very first part of body that God begins with is our feet

because, listen, now, this blows me away every time I think about

it, and it really burdens me.

God only has one method to accomplish his mission:

your feet and my feet.

God only has one method to take his message around the world,

and that's your feet and my feet.

Now, don't misunderstand.

I believe we oughtta use every technological invention and

every tool we can to fulfill the mission and share the message

and to serve the Master.

I'm thankful that I pastor a church that partners with us

and allows us to broadcast our services in 144 countries

around the world.

I wish you could see the emails we get in every single week,

from some places I have never heard of in my life.

We've got people who watch our programs in countries I can't

even share with you.

They watch it secretly by computer because if they were

ever caught, they would be killed for their faith.

But we do that because of you

and because of your faithfulness.

And I thank God for that.

I'm thankful we live in the age of the Internet and podcasts and

radio and television and live streaming,

but I wanna tell ya, I don't care how advanced we

get in our technology.

I don't care how brilliant we get in every other way we can

carry the message.

God's number-one method to fulfill his mission and to

share his message will always be our feet.

Everybody look down at your feet right now.

I'm lookin' at mine.

And seriously, everybody look down at your feet, all right?

Now, look up here at me.

Those are not only the only feet you've got,

they're the only feet he's got.

There's no plan B.

There's no second method. There's no other way.

God says, "I want, James, your feet,

Richard, your feet, Charles, your feet,

and, Mildred, your feet, and, Sally, your feet.

I want your feet to share the message.

I want your feet to fulfill the mission."

There are still many miles to walk, many places to

go, many people to tell,

many stories to share, and we need every foot available to go

across the street, and down the road,

and around the world so that others can hear the good news

of peace and salvation through Jesus Christ.

Let me just tell you what you can be a part of.

You ready for this?

Get ready, we had a team just last week that got

back from Cuba.

One staff person, and the rest people just like you,

just like me, just ordinary people.

No seminary training.

For some of them, very few trips ever anywhere abroad.

And for some, maybe their very first trip ever to

do a mission trip.

Now, listen to this.

Through their efforts, partnering with 100 Cuban

missionaries, do you know what they got to be a part of?

They saw 750 adults and 319 children give their lives to

Jesus Christ in a Communist country.

You can do that. You can be a part of that.

You could have people come up to you in eternity and say,

"You know, I know you don't remember me,

but you came to Cuba, and you led my daddy to Jesus.

And because you led my daddy to Jesus, he told me about Jesus."

"You know, you went with your pastor to South Africa,

and you don't remember, but you knocked on my home and you came

into my home and you gave me a little gospel booklet,

and you just told me your testimony about Jesus,

and my whole family got saved.

And because my whole family got saved,

we are all here today."

Now, listen, I realize there's still so many of you out there,

I mean, you've let the devil convince you,

"Nope, you can't do it.

You're not qualified. You're not prepared.

You don't have what it takes to let your feet take you where

they need to go."

So, I just wanna share with you this last story,

and hopefully, it'll really push you over

the edge, and I'll be done.

Listen to this.

I wanna tell you about a man you've never heard of by the

name of George Stott.

George Stott was a 19th-century missionary to China.

He didn't have any seminary education at all.

He was, you know, literate, but that was about it.

Was not, by any stretch of the means,

a Bible scholar, but he just felt a burden to go to China.

He spent his entire life there.

What you don't know about George Stott is he only had one leg.

Now, if you think that could be a handicap today with all the

prosthetics and all the things we have available today,

this is the middle of the 19th century.

He has one leg.

When someone asked George Stott, "Why would you even think about

leaving America and going to a foreign land

like China with only one leg?"

I want you to listen to what he said.

He said, quote: "Well, I don't see anybody with two legs going,

so I guess I'll have to go."

Well, by George, if he can go on one leg, we can go on two.

So, let's get on our feet, and let's go.

James: Of all the things that I do every year, there's nothing

that I look forward to more or enjoy more than our annual

Mountain Top Conference that's held in the

beautiful Smoky Mountains of Tennessee.

We're up in Pigeon Forge, and it's one of my absolute favorite

places to go, and it's one of my absolute favorite events of the

entire year, and it's a fantastic way to kick

off the Christmas season.

If you've been before, you already know what a great

time it is.

We worship, we fellowship, we laugh, we sing, and we

listen to preaching and God's Word, and we're gonna do all

that again this year.

It won't be an exception.

But here's what I want you to hear.

We're gonna be joined by Bart Millard of MercyMe,

who will be sharing with us his personal testimony,

which was the inspiration for the song and the hit movie

"I Can Only Imagine."

If you've not seen that movie, you need to see it.

It's one of the best movies I've seen in years.

And that song, by the way, is the best-selling

Christian song of all time.

We'll get to meet the man that wrote it and have a great time.

By the way, you're registration also includes a ticket to

Dollywood, and Dolly Parton's Smoky Mountain Adventures

Dinner Show, which is always great.

So, if you've never been to Mountain Top,

I wanna encourage you to join us this year for some great

fellowship and a lot of fun.

To begin planning your trip to Mountain Top,

go to our website at touchinglives.org,

or call us at 1-800-413-1131.

Make your reservations.

I will see you there. It's going to be fantastic.

James: You know becoming a granddad was on of the best

things that ever happened to me.

There's no better joy than watching my grandkids experience

the excitement of Christmas.

But in the middle of all the presents,

the food, and the fun, I do all that I can to make sure

they understand the real meaning behind Christmas.

That's why I wanna tell you about my new book called

"The 25 Days of Christmas."

It's designed to help you and those you love keep your eyes

on Jesus as you celebrate Christmas.

It's filled with beautiful images and daily devotions that

are designed to help you grow closer to Jesus as we recognize

his birth in the manger on that very first Christmas long ago.

To order your copy of "The 25 Days of Christmas," call

1-800-413-1131, or go to our website at touchinglives.org.

Don't just put this on your coffee table.

Don't just put it on your desk. Take your family through it.

And I hope this Christmas is the best ever for you

and your family.

May God bless you and keep you, and always remember,

it's true, Jesus is the only reason for the season.

Ship Evacuation Procedure - Duration: 18:40.

okay when a new crew member reports for duty one of the first things that

happens that as he's made acquainted with the ship's muster list which

informs each crew member of his role in an emergency situation here for example

we see the instruction charts relating to the use of the life rafts we are now

ready to begin the exercise

if an emergency arises at sea the vessel involved sends a distress signal to the

nearest coastal radio station using the international emergency frequency all

ships obliged to carry radio also listen on this frequency the name and position

of the vessel and the nature of the emergency are the most important items

of information needed to ensure a speedy and effective rescue operation the

majority of the crew who in this case are gathered in the mess await

instructions from the bridge additional information about the situation of the

vessel such as weather wind and other conditions in the area can be very

important to the rescue operation the ringing of the alarm bell means that the

crew should go to the emergency station as bringing their lifejackets or in this

case their immersion suits

after a little training these immersion suits which protect against critical

mass of body heat can be put on very quickly

notice that the integrated gloves can be quickly removed if the wearer needs to

have his hands-free even without the gloves water will not get into the suit

the crew are now on their way to the rescue stations the ladder which will

later be used to get down to the raft is here paid out and secured by two members

of the crew when the painter line of the life raft has been properly secured on

board and the order given the lashing holding the raft is released and the

raft is eased over the side

when the remainder of the painter line has been pulled out of the container the

raft is inflated by a firm tug on the line the raft will be fully inflated in

the course of about 60 seconds with minor variations depending on the actual

temperature at the time as can be seen here the raft is equipped with an

automatically deployable sea anchor which is released when the raft is being

inflated and therefore contributes to the stability of the raft at an early

stage in the launching procedure the raft is now maneuvered to the matter

which is already hanging at the side of the ship

the whistling noise we can hear is quite normal and comes from the safety valves

on the raft growing off excess co2 this always happens in connection with the

inflation of a life raft

the positional light on top of the raft which has a built-in blink has already

been activated during inflation of the raft that should be switched off when

not needed the crew now enter the raft with great care despite the fact that

they are wearing immersion suits it can often be very difficult to rescue people

out of the water under the sort of weather conditions normally encountered

in a distressed situation at sea

when all our safety on board the painter line is cut

and the knife replaced in the holder provided

it is now a question of getting away from the sinking ship as quickly as

possible using the paddles supplied in the raft in some situations it might be

advisable to haul in the c.i.a while paddling if it is difficult to get away

from the side of the ship for example in a hectic emergency situation it could

happen that some of those onboard ship might not manage to get down to the life

raft before it is cut adrift the men we see here are wearing their immersion

suits and have therefore greatly increased their chances of survival the

crew in the life raft are well aware of the importance of keeping a sharp

lookout for survivors in this phase of the operation and have in fact already

spotted the two men left behind on the sinking ship the light on the immersion

suit should of course be switched on if visibility is low

to the survival suit is also attached a so-called buddy line so that several

survivors can link themselves together in the water this can be especially

valuable if an exhausted person has to be towed along in the water

in the meantime the crew in the life raft have hold in the sea - and are

paddling the raft towards the two men in the water the raft is equipped with a

rescue line with quite here being thrown out to those in the water one of those

in the water gets hold of the quote and pulls it up around his upper arm the

mine can now be hauled into the raft

those in the water must be got onto the raft as quickly and as securely as

possible

the sea anchor is now deployed again to stabilize the raft and minimize drift

away from the position of the wreck the entrance to the raft is closed and a

lookout posted keeping a sharp lookout is vitally important for a successful

rescue operation so that the exact position of the raft can be signaled if

a plane or ship comes into the vicinity

as a result of the distress signal sent out by the ship the rescue services are

getting on with the most important part of a rescue operation picking up

survivors helicopters like this one have for many years played a central role in

rescue operations at sea partly because of the maneuverability of helicopters

and the use made of modern navigational equipment but also and by no means least

because of the skill of the crew members who pilot the coastal Rescue Service

helicopters

whilst the helicopter is on its way to the scene of the shipwreck we can take a

closer look at what all crew members should know about life-saving operations

at sea

this or a similar instruction chart concerning the operation of the life

raft well as we have said be included in the compulsory training manuals on the

ship here for example we see an American training manual this instruction book is

published by the Danish Association of ship owners and among the contents are a

section on lifejackets a section on lifeboats and life rafts

how to enter the life raft what to do if you have to jump overboard wearing a

life jacket nowadays approve life rafts ought to be fitted with a hydrostatic

release unit the purpose of this unit is to release the raft if the ship sinks so

quickly that there is no time to release it manually this Pelican hook is used in

connection with manual operation of the raft if the ship should sink without a

lying time for manual launching water will enter the release unit through the

holes shown here when the release unit is about three meters underwater it will

be activated by water pressure releasing the raft the raft container which is

sufficiently buoyant to float to the surface is now only connected to the

ship via the painter line of the raft and the so called weak link the weak

link is strong enough to release the raft if the water at the scene of the

shipwreck is deeper than the length of the painter line and weak enough in this

situation to be snapped as the inflated raft surfaces

as mentioned earlier some rafts are equipped with automatically deployable

see items in accordance with some national regulations whether the sea

anchor is automatic or not it is very important during the first phase of the

evacuation when the raft is closed to the sinking ship that the anchor does

not foul some part of the ship in the event of this happening anyway the raft

is equipped depending on size with one or two knives which can be used to cut

loose the sea anchor note that the raft is also equipped with a reserved sea

anchor the knife positions shown here is primarily used to cut the painter line

of the raft that is the line connecting it to the sinking ship in order to avoid

damage to the raft the knife should be returned after used to the sheath

providing

if the raft at some point should capsize it can be fairly easily write it if the

correct procedure is followed the raft should be climbed onto from the water on

the side where the co2 bottle is placed by using the runt of the ladder which is

about 40 centimeters under the surface and getting hold of the right link strap

you can hold yourself onto the upturned raft the raft is righted by standing on

the cylinder bag heaving on the line and leaning backwards the raft can be much

more easily righted if it can be turned into the wind after writing the raft is

best entered on the side where the boarding ramp is situated other people

who might be in the water in the vicinity of the raft should be helped on

board the emergency kit on board the raft contains equipment which can be a

great help to victims of a shipwreck the thermal protective aids can be used to

help people who have lost a lot of body heat due to immersion in cold water the

suit is lined on the inside with a material that reflects the body heat of

the person in distress greatly reducing the danger of further loss of heat

seasick tablets should be taken as soon as possible because those on board a

life raft will almost without exception suffer from seasickness with the

consequent loss of natural reactions and powers of judgment the signalling

equipment available in the raft so vital for the final stages of a rescue

operation is as follows

parachute rockets hand flares smoke signals signaling mirror signaling lamp

and a signaling whistle instructions for the use of this signaling equipment are

found on board the raft as well as in the general instruction manuals on the

ship the raft also carries one or two Baylor's depending on the size of the

raft sponges for soaking up moisture and condensation medicine kits one and a

half litres of drinking water per person 500 grams emergency rations per person

and fishing tackle the top of the raft has trucks to collect rainwater

there is also an emergency repair kit to facilitate basic repairs in the case of

acute damage to the raft it is quite normal today that rafts are equipped

with an emergency transmitter instructions for use are of course also

included no matter what the make of the transmitter the type of emergency

equipment found in a raft is now established by international agreement

based on a wide range of experience

the raft is fitted with a double floor which can be inflated by using the

bellows provided in the raft something which has unfortunately often been

forgotten in connection with shipwrecks over the last few years we would like to

make the point very clear an inflated double floor offered in greater

installation and the majority of sea conditions who make a stay in the raft

are much more comfortable experience now back to the rescue action at sea the

lookout in the raft has heard the rotor noise of the helicopter and it is now

vitally important to signal the position of the raft this can be done as here by

firing a parachute rockets

in clear weather lighting a hand flare as we can see here will make the raft

more visible to rescue vessels the orange smoke signals also found in the

raft are also visible over long distances in daylight in addition they

are a great help to a rescue helicopter trying to determine the best angle of

approach to the world when the rescue helicopter approaches the raft ready to

lift off survivors the roof of the raft should be pressed flat best achieved as

seen here by climbing onto it in some cases it might help to let the air out

of the arc tube here the helicopter crew chooses to use a single lift to rescue

the survivors to avoid an unpleasant shock from static electricity it is best

to let the harness and lifting wire touch the water before getting hold of

the harness from the raft a diagram on the harness shows how it should be

lowered over the head and under the armpits

then the adjustable breast straps should be tightened hold onto this strap or let

your arms hang down by your sides during the lift don't hold on higher up the

harness if this man is doing here as there is in this case a risk of sliding

out of the harness in order to avoid unnecessary dangerous situations do not

try to release yourself from the harness leave this to the crew of the helicopter

when you have been pulled on board in a situation like this when a person has to

they rescue directly from the sea the helicopter will use a double date

this member of the rescue crew here getting ready to be lowered down to the

water is fastened to the same wire as the harness which will be put around the

distressed person

a double lift will generally be used where at all possible as this method

because of the experience of the rescue personnel is the safest and quickest

despite the fact that the use of the rescue equipment shown in this film may

seem extremely easy and straightforward and despite the fact that this equipment

has been greatly improved in recent years and is definitely easier to use

old proverb should not be forgotten

David Nevins, the CEO of Showtime, released a statement explaining the importance of Shut Up and Dribble as a series.

"If being a star athlete is inherently a political experience, 'Shut Up and Dribble' tells that complex and dramatic story from the past to the present and from the inside out," Nevins told Variety.

"LeBron James is one of many competitors whose place in the spotlight has led not to silence but perspective," he added, "And he, Maverick Carter and Gotham Chopra have given us an important, insightful docuseries that should bring their fans and fellow citizens to a higher level of discourse, rather than the dismissal satirized in the title.

The title was inspired by a controversial remark made by FOX News reporter Laura Ingraham.

The show's director, Gotham Chopra, spoke with USA Today about spinning the negativity of Ingraham's initial remark. "I was already working on this thing," he said.

"It had already started to take on a political and social slant.

What started out as an exploration of how the NBA became the most culturally relevant league – with a social aspect – had already taken shape.

It wasn't because of Laura Ingraham, but because of the times in which we live.".

Shut Up and Dribble will also be narrated by former ESPN analyst Jemele Hill.

"[The documentary] really caught me off guard but it was something I embraced because I believe in the story they're trying to tell," she told the Los Angeles Times.

"I mean, [LeBron's] a made man in the sports world, and just to see his evolution in terms of him finding his voice, feeling so empowered to use it, and by extension empowering other athletes and other people, period — so much of this project, it made sense for me to be a part of.".

Gregory Ramos & Gail Cleavenger: 5 Fast Facts | Heavy.com - Duration: 8:47.

Gregory Ramos & Gail Cleavenger: 5 Fast Facts | Heavy.com

Gregory Logan Ramos, a 15-year-old boy from Florida, strangled his mother over a D grade he got in school and then buried her body in the fire pit of a local church, cops said.

Police have said that Ramos admitted to killing his mother, Gail Cleavenger, 46, on Alicante Road in the town of Debray in the very early hours of November 2.

Authorities say that Ramos then took his mother's body in a wheelbarrow to River City Church on East Highbanks Road, where he buried her body.

With the help of two 17-year-old friends, Ramos then staged a robbery scene at his home.

Volusia County Sheriff Mike Chitwood said that it took Ramos around 30 minutes to kill his mother after she survived the initial strangulation attempt.

Here's what you need to know:.

The Sheriff Said That Ramos Described a Fake Phone Call He Made to Police as 'Grammy Winning'.

The Volusia County Sheriff's Department said in a statement that Ramos initially told investigators that when he returned home from school on November 2, his mother was missing.

Ramos said that Cleavenger's car was still running in the driveway.

Officials say that after questioning, Ramos confessed to killing his mother.

Sheriff Chitwood told the media, "Just the whole scenario, the whole thing, the crime scene, when you start interviewing the kid — things were just not adding up.

Things were missed from the very beginning." Police say that Ramos killed his mother in the very early hours of November 2.

The sheriff says that Ramos described the phone call he made to authorities about the alleged break-in as "Grammy-winning.

" Among the things that the sheriff described as "not adding-up" was that Cleavenger did not show up for work on the morning of November 2.

Sheriff Chitwood described Ramos as a "soulless individual who thought he was gonna outsmart everyone in the room." The sheriff said that Ramos was "cold and calculated" in his confession.

The sheriff paid tribute to Cleavenger on Twitter writing, "The deputies and detectives who worked through the night and into the morning gave this case absolutely everything they had, and I hope the family knows that Gail has all of us fighting for justice for her.

God bless Gail Cleavenger and all who knew and loved her.".

The Sheriff Said that Ramos Attacked His Mother While She Was Sleeping.

Volusia County Sheriff Mike Chitwood told the media that the fight between Ramos and his mother began in an argument over his grades.

Sheriff Chitwood said that Ramos had been "motivated by rage." The sheriff said that Ramos had received a D in a class, which sparked the fight.

Cleavenger had apparently called Ramos' father, who was in Seattle on business, after the initial argument.

At 11:00 p.m., Cleavenger went to bed, Sheriff Chitwood said Ramos entered her room at around 12:30 a.m.

Chitwood said, "He went into her room and woke her up and began strangling her and strangled her till he killed her.".

The sheriff went on to describe the incident as "one of the most disturbing and saddest I've seen in my career.

The Sheriff's statement said that deputies found that electronics and a rifle were missing from Cleavenger's home.

Those items, including a PlayStation 4, were recovered nearby having been buried.

In addition, investigators found a shovel and broom which were "used to bury Cleavenger and straighten up the scene around the fire pit," A sheriff's office spokesman, Andrew Gant told the Orlando Sentinel.

Gail Cleavenger Wrote on Dating Profile that She Was 'Raising a Happy Child'.

On a 2008 dating profile, Cleavenger wrote in the bio section, "I am an Architect.

Catholic.

Currently interested in raising a happy child." According to her LinkedIn page, Cleavenger was an architect who worked for various firms across central Florida.

Cleavenger studied architecture at the University of Miami, graduating in 1995, as well as studying International Studies at the Glasgow School of Art, Mackintosh School of Architecture.

On her Pinterest page, Cleavenger went by the moniker "ArchitectMomma.".

In paying tribute to Cleavenger, her friend Dawn Marie wrote on Facebook, "MY DEAREST And BEST FRIEND.

She was too kind, almost to a fault.

She was a loving Wife, mother, friend, daughter, sister, citizen, brilliant architect.

I will miss her beautiful smile.

It was blessing to know her these 10+ years.".

Both Ramos & His Mother Were Martial Arts Practitioners.

Social media posts and videos indicate that both Ramos and his mother were martial arts practitioners.

Katie Eisenberg posted a Facebook post in the wake of Cleavenger's death showing just prior to her black belt concrete break.

Cleavenger's black belt makes reference to Philippians 4:13, a Bible passage that reads, "I can do all this through him who gives me strength.".

Ramos' Friends Dylan Ceglarek & Brian Porras Led Authorities to Cleavenger's Body.

Authorities say that Ramos enlisted two of his friends, Dylan Ceglarek and Brian Porras, both 17, to assist in burying Cleavenger's body and staging the robbery scene.

Both Ceglarek and Porras have been charged with being accessory to murder.

The sheriff said that it was Ceglarek and Porras who led authorities to Cleavenger's body as well as the items that were falsely reported to have been stolen from Ramos' home.

The three suspects are all students at University High School.

A neighbor, Ryan Ward, told the Daytona News Journal, "They seemed like nice, normal people and there was nothing out of the ordinary.

I've seen (Ramos) out here with his friends but they were never doing anything suspicious.

It's crazy stuff, I wouldn't expect this around here.".

Man Utd ace Marcus Rashford left red-faced after this WOEFUL miss against Bournemouth - Duration: 2:15.

Bournemouth took an early lead during their home meeting with United at the Vitality Stadium thanks to Callum Wilson's 11th minute opener

Anthony Martial equalised 10 minutes before the break as United continued to push to find a way back into the game

And midway through the second half, United were handed a brilliant opportunity to take the lead down on the south coast

Ashley Young whipped in a brilliant free-kick from outside the area and Cherries shot-stopper Asmir Begovic could do little but push it into the path of Rashford

All the England international had to do was fire home from close range. However, Dutchman Nathan Ake was determined not to let the ball past

Ake threw himself in front on Rashford's shot with a brilliant block. Paul Pogba had the chance to score on the rebound but his tentative shot found David Brooks on the goal-line who hit a thundering clearance up field

And Manchester United supporters were left baffled at Rashford's woeful shot. "I know he's still young but you can't miss chances like that Mr Rashford," one fan wrote

Another said: "Absolutely terrible miss. @MarcusRashford should be ashamed of that miss

" "I'm crying for that Rashford miss. He drank us there," a third fan wrote. But Rashford was able to recover from his embarrassing miss by scoring the winner late into injury time

A cross from Pogba found Rashford in the box who duly poked home to secure three points for United
