Honda CBR300R presented with the Test Drive - and first impressiones / opinions. Honda CBR300 2017 CBR250R Honda sport bike is a single cylinder, part of the CBR series manufactured by Honda from 2011 to 2013 for all markets except Japan and Malaysia, where production increased from 2011 to the present. It went mainly to Thai and Indian markets but sold worldwide, even in developed countries in Europe, North America and elsewhere. There was no model CBR250R 2014 in all markets except Japan and Malaysia, but at the end of 2014 for the model 2015 year, Honda added a larger to succeed the CBR250R to keep pace with competitors version of displacement sport bike CBR300R and Standard CB300F in all markets except Japan and Malaysia, where only sold the CBR250R. Honda CBR300 2017 In October 2013 the CBR300R major tour was announced at the International Motorcycle Exhibition of China in Chongqing, with an engine displacement increased from 249.6 to 286 cc (15.23 to 17.45 cubic inches) in response to Kawasaki Ninja 300. Honda said the new model has increased power from 26 to 30.5 hp (19.4 to 22.7 kW) and higher torque 17 to 20 N · m. [23] An update optional ABS is available for these models. [23] The new CBR300R differs from the previous CBR250R in several ways. The cowling and the lighthouse are remodeled to more closely resemble the CBR RR line separation of the CBR250R resemblance to the VFR1200F. Other external changes include a new exhaust system and engine mounts revised, a new seat and side panels which assists in easy reach and a down position slightly sporty driving. Internal changes include new piston, connecting rod and crankshaft, with increasing displacement. 2015-2016 F150 Edge Gas Evolution CS2 Tuner 5.0L Review & Dyno - Duration: 16:53.

Hey, guys.

I'm Justin with AmericanMuscle.com, and this is my detailed review, dyno test, and drive

of the Edge Evolution CS2 device, loaded with three Edge tunes, the performance, economy

and towing tune, available for your 2015 and up 5.0L F-150.

The Edge CS2 is gonna be for any F-150 owner out there looking to take advantage of a pre-loaded

tune and device combo, offering a performance, economy, and towing tune, along with some

of the best miles per gallon in the category.

Now, it's also gonna be a fantastic choice for someone who wants to take advantage of

those pre-loaded tunes but also wants to get most of the features of Edge's flagship device,

the CTS2, but without the massive touch screen and without the big price tag.

In this video, I'm gonna talk about why you might want to choose the CS2 over some of

your other aftermarket tuning options available here at American Muscle.

We're gonna talk about the power improvements over stock, the fuel economy benefits, and

of course, the drivability.

But hang out with me.

We have a lot to talk about in this video, including walking you through the CS2 itself,

taking a spin later in our tuned 5.0L truck.

But first let's talk about the power improvements you can expect when using this tuner.

Hi, guys.

Now before we made any pulls with our F-150, we replaced those big, heavy 35s in the rear

with a factory wheel and tire setup, just for the most accurate results with our Dynojet.

We then proceeded to grab our baseline run, using 87 octane in the factory calibration.

We then drained all the 87 out of the truck, filled it with 93 octane and uploaded the

Edge 91 Octane Performance Tune, re-ran the truck one more time, and here are those results.

Baseline run using our 2015 5.0L F-150 on 87 octane gave us 278 HP and 316 TQ at the

rear wheels.

With the Edge 91 Octane Race Tune, the truck made 282 HP, 328 TQ at the rear wheels, 4

HP and 12 TQ peak, and 15 HP and 14 TQ under the curve.

Breaking down these numbers a little further, guys, the blue line is our baseline pull,

using 87 octane with basically a factory truck.

However, with our 91 Octane Race Tune installed or uploaded, the truck definitely did a lot

better throughout the entire RPM range, especially down low here.

We picked up a good amount of torque in your big operating RPM range, basically 2,000 to

4,000 or 5,000 RPM.

The truck has definitely a lot of torque here, and that's what you want when you're driving

one of these rigs around all day long.

Now overall, guys, you're probably wondering why these numbers aren't as good as some of

your other options here on the site.

And the answer's pretty simple.

Edge designs their tunes to work for 87 to 91 octane.

They don't design a specific 93 octane tune, and as such, they can't be as aggressive with

things like ignition timing, for instance, or air-fuel ratio, and again, the numbers

suffer because of that.

Now overall, they're still a very good tune.

You can just use them with a lower octane fuel.

You're not gonna see as big as numbers as you might see with an SCT or an MPT, for instance,

but overall, still a very solid tune.

So with the numbers out of the way, let's get back to the table, and we'll break down

the Edge Tunes a little further.

Now, guys, the Edge Tunes are 50-state legal, and they are carb-certified.

So even F-150 owners in tough states like California, for instance, will be able to

take advantage of the Edge tuning here without any issues.

Just to remind you, guys, you are getting three pre-loaded tunes here with the Edge

CS2.

You're getting an economy and towing tune, which can be used with 87 and higher octane

fuel.

And finally, that race tune, which needs 91 or higher octane in order to function.

Now again, this is nice because you do have some options when going with the Edge Tune.

If you go with a different pre-loaded device, such as an SCT here, for instance, they're

only gonna offer you a performance tune.

So to have a few options with the Edge is definitely a nice little feature.

Now, in order to see what the Edge Tunes and the CS2 were all about, I've been pounding

the pavement in our 5.0L truck all week long with this device and the tunes uploaded, just

to get a better overall feel for the drivability, the power improvements and of course, the

fuel economy.

Now, even though the Edge tunes didn't make as much power as some of your other options

here on the site, it absolutely decimated the competition when it comes to miles per

gallon.

Timeless Superchips option here for some of the best miles per gallon in the category.

Now guys, my drive to and from work does include some highway and back road driving, and with

the factory calibration on the 87 octane, I was seeing roughly 11 to 12 miles per gallon

on average.

It doesn't sound that great, I know, but keep in mind our truck is lifted six inches, we

are hauling around some 35s, and I have a heavy foot.

Now, with the Edge 91 octane economy tuner installed or uploaded, I was seeing anywhere

from the high 15s, even 16 miles per gallon.

That's approaching EcoBoost territory here.

Again, even more impressive when you consider the set-up of our rig.

As far as pricing, guys, here's what you can expect when looking at the CS2.

Now, essentially, you're getting a miniature version of Edge's flagship device, the CTS2,

for just north of $400, which in my opinion, is very, very good.

Now, granted, you're not getting a large five-inch touchscreen, but you are getting most of the

features of the big brother here for $200 less, and they're even tossing in a windshield

mount.

Now, even though I can sit here and talk about all the features with the CS2, you'd probably

prefer to see me plug it in, and actually use this thing, and then we'll take the truck

out for a drive.

All right, guys, so driving around in our F-150 with the 91 octane Edge tune-up loaded.

Let's hammer it a little bit here.

As you can see, it definitely ripped off a big downshift.

Yeah, we're motivating, man.

Here we go.

Definitely stronger than before in factory trim or the factory calibration.

Overall, the truck feels good.

I mean it definitely feels a little bit more powerful than it did before in factory form,

especially over 87 octane.

The transmission settings, I have to be honest.

I was a little disappointed.

The trans feels a little soft for my liking, personally.

Preferably, I like to see a little bit more shifting, especially here with the 5.0L truck.

This thing likes to see those higher RPMs.

I would've liked to see maybe more shifts to get me up in that higher RPM, a little

bit more downshifting, I should say.

But overall, again, this is gonna be geared more towards somebody that might be a little

bit more, you know, after a towing-specific tune, or maybe even more of that fuel economy.

Again, because the Edge Superchips are both kind of in the same ballpark in regards to

fuel economy, and they both did astronomical.

I mean, the truck, for being lifted six inches, we're hauling around these 35s, to get the

miles per gallon I was seeing with this thing all week long, again, it made me kind of reconsider

my EcoBoost F-150, because I was impressed.

I mean, I'll be honest, on 87 octane, factory calibration, this thing is a pig, especially

with these wheels and tires, especially with the lift.

For making a little bit more power, but still picking up that kind of fuel economy, that's

huge.

The nice thing too, with the Edge pre-loads is just how easy it is to switch tire size,

switch axle ratios, things like that.

I mean, the device itself...all of the devices I tested from Edge are very user-friendly.

So I guess to summarize, in driving the truck around with the Edge pre-loads, 91 octane

race tune.

Again, you're gonna see similar power using their economy and using their towing as well,

as long as you're using the same octane, but the drivability is slightly different as well.

So you're seeing a little bit more throttle response with their race tune.

The tune is a little softer with their economy tune, as far as all-throttle or part-throttle,

but again, I mean, the economy is as advertised.

You're seeing a ton of economy, and that really, if you couldn't tell, I mean, that's the big

seller here, I think, with the Edge products.

Honestly, at the end of the day, if you're after a tune that's gonna be very pleasurable

to drive every day, as far as it won't be snapping you around.

I mean, some people might like the snappy shifts.

Some people might like the fact that this thing shifts very soft and very easy.

You know?

I mean, if you're basically happy with the truck being a little smoother, maybe riding

a little bit more like a Caddy or something like that, then you might prefer the softer

shifts of the Edge products.

But overall, I'm pretty happy with how this thing's driving.

Now let's head back to the shop, and I'll walk you through the operation of the device.

Now, the CS2, guys, is going to be the little brother to Edge's flagship device, the CTS2,

and basically combines all of the great functions with that bigger, more expensive device, the

CTS2, shrinks them down into a smaller little package here.

You're not getting the touch screen, but you are getting a lot of the same very cool features.

So we'll navigate through it a little bit here.

Now, one thing I kind of found out during using this thing is that sometimes the buttons

can get a little confusing at first.

That's to be expected when you're getting something new or getting used to something

new.

I'm sure that if you use this thing, after a few weeks, you'll get the hang of it real

quickly.

But overall, pretty nifty little device.

But as you can see, this thing is very small.

I mean, the CTS2 is a five-inch touch screen device.

This thing looks like to be maybe a two-inch screen.

It's all button-operated.

This isn't touch screen whatsoever.

But again, you are getting a lot of the same usability and functionality out of this device

as you would with the CTS2.

So let's first, again, it starts you off here in the gauge screen.

Now, you do have two different screens you can pick from when it comes to choosing your

layout.

So we have the more modern device, and then we have the digital readout.

Again, you can fully customize these screens how you prefer.

You can go into them even, and kind of go into each one, choose what you would like

to display here.

For instance, right now we can choose a different PID, as they call them.

So here are some of your options when it comes to that.

You have your engine cooling temperature, engine load, RPM, your G-Force calculator,

if taking turns is your thing, and you wanna see how many Gs you're pulling.

Gear, horsepower, stuff like that, I mean, there really is a lot to choose from with

the Edge devices, is what I've found.

And a lot of it's pretty cool, and it's some stuff that you really can't find with the

SCT device, for instance.

Like measured horsepower and torque is one of those things, and we actually found it

to be pretty accurate, compared to our dyno numbers.

So it's pretty cool that they were able to do that, you know, trip odometer, things like

that.

Now, granted, some of this stuff is more of a gimmick thing, I would say, but a lot of

this stuff is very valuable and very useful, and I think you'll get some good use out of

the device itself.

So we'll go back here.

We'll bring you to the main menu.

Here's our main menu with the CS2, and then you'll see a lot of this stuff with the CTS2,

but we'll run down a little bit here.

We'll save the programming for last I'll show you how to flash the tune.

But here's the screen layouts I was talking about.

So we had the master already picked out there.

So let's go with the needles, and see what that looks like for our...so here's the different

needle gauges, for instance.

Again, maybe a little bit more of a retro theme for you.

It's really all up to you.

There are a few different options, as you can tell here, with the Edge CS2.

This one's probably a little easier to read than some of them.

And again, you can go into those, and choose which gauge you'd like to assign to each thing.

All right, so we touched on the screen layout again.

You can change your background even, and that's one thing that I think a lot of people might

like with this as well.

You have kind of a carbon fiber, fire, diamond plate.

So you do have a lot of options, as you can see.

We've got camo there, can't forget the camo.

Kind of a splatter pattern, so again, some different options there, and a lot of times,

this stuff is kind of silly but a lot of people at home really do enjoy having the functionability

and the options to change out your own layouts.

We're back to the main menu here.

Again, it is kind of operating this gauge can be a little clumsy sometimes because you're

essentially utilizing a home button and a back button as your yes or no, along with

navigating the control pad, or the directional pad.

So it does take a little getting used to, I will say that.

The touch screen devices are much easier, in my opinion, or even the SCT gauges, they

just seem to be a little bit more user-friendly.

All right, so we talked about the layouts.

This is your record screen.

Again, this thing does do performance tests as well, such as your 0-60, your miles per

hour, quarter mile, your RPM and of course, your transmission fluid temperatures as well.

It just keeps track of all the peaks of this, or your best, just to keep track of them,

maybe better than as you get some more modifications with your truck.

So back at the home screen.

Here are those performance tests I was just talking about again, 0-60, quarter mile, and

it'll actually measure your horsepower.

We talked about that a little earlier.

Just to give you a general gauge, if you don't have a dyno close to you.

We did find it to be pretty accurate, within a few horsepower of our actual dyno results,

so it's something you can go by.

The CS2, like a lot of the modern-day tuners, can be used as a data logging device.

As you can see, we're in the data logging screen.

Now, if you wanted to go ahead and delete the data log, you'd basically just grab one.

It's really easy.

You record what you need to record.

It'll save it for you, and then you can offload that onto your computer.

Diagnostics, again, something that's very handy on today's modern devices.

This is gonna be where you go to read and clear your check engine codes or check engine

lights.

As you can see, we don't really have any here with our F-150 right now.

But if you did have some check engine lights, this is where you would go, and this is where

you would clear them.

Now, maintenance manager.

This is one of the big things with the Edge devices that a lot of the other devices won't

offer you.

It's very cool, very handy, and if you're somebody that likes to really do your own

maintenance at home, you don't prefer to take it to a dealer or a shop to do all this maintenance,

this will come in handy.

Now, you can turn this on, and basically at this point, set up your different maintenance

items.

For instance, it'll notify you when you need to change your air filter, change your axle

fluid, cabin air filter, engine coolant, engine oil, fuel filter.

This list goes on and on.

You know, it even lets you know when you need to check your brake pads, or even lube up

some of your drive shafts.

You know, fittings and all that stuff as well.

Lube your front drive shaft.

You know, so again, it does offer you a lot of flexibility.

There's a lot of stuff to play with, so if you're a gadget guy, this is obviously a great

choice for you.

The CS2 and both the CTS2 are gonna offer you probably the most stuff to play with in

regards to all the hand-held devices here on the site.

Obviously, this thing's shrunken down a little bit, so if you don't want that big five-inch

touchscreen with the CTS2 but you want all the same functionality, the CS2 is definitely

the good way to go.

Settings, this is something you're gonna find with a lot of modern devices as well here.

Again, this is where you can set up different alerts.

You can set up, like, for instance, if your air fluid ratio gets a little lean, or if

your trans temp gets a little high, this thing will notify you via a warning light, alerts,

things like that.

All stuff you can set up within the device itself.

You can turn the sound on or off, change the auto dim feature.

I mean, this is basically your userability stuff here when you plug it in.

So let's go back to the main menu.

Again, this programming tab.

Let's touch on this really quickly here, because this is where you wanna go when it does come

time to flash your truck.

As you can see, we have economy, towing and race.

Now when you do select one of these...and even stock here, if you do wanna flash your

truck back to stock at any point, obviously, that's what you'd do there.

Let's go ahead and check the race out.

Flashing the truck for the very first time is gonna take you a few minutes.

Obviously, you can see it saving your stock VCU settings now.

Again, if you do wish to revert to stock at some point, you're gonna need that.

But the first time you flash the truck should take a few minutes.

Very easy install, as you can see, guys.

You're really just hitting a few buttons.

Shouldn't take you any more than a few minutes.

We always have a little difficulty meter-rating here.

This is a 1 out of 3 wrenches on my difficulty meter.

Very, very easy stuff.

Anybody can really do it.

All right, guys.

Well, we just went ahead and flashed the truck using the CS2, the Edge programmer, and now

it's actually gonna prompt you if you want to change some of the options with the tune

itself.

So we'll go ahead and hit "yes."

So here's where you can have, basically, the option to change your tire size.

For instance, we have 35s on our rig but we would go down and change that to 35, which

is very cool.

Again, it's nice to have this option because this is just essentially gonna calibrate your

speedo.

Turn that off there.

Really, really handy to have, of course.

It's something you almost come to expect out of the modern-day tuning devices here.

But you know, speed limiter, your gear ratio, for instance, if you do end up changing your

gears eventually.

Fan temperature, you can have your fan come on at a different temperature for you if you'd

like.

So if you want it to come on a little lower than usual, obviously, you can see where to

do that.

And that's pretty much it.

So you can reset all these values.

You can change your gear ratio, your tire size, your speed limiter.

And from there, you just basically continue with the program, and you should be all loaded

up and ready to go.

So that's my review of the Edge Gas Evolution CS2 Tuner and Monitor, available for your

Tony Robbins: How Successful People Learn ( Tony Robbins Law of Attraction ) - Duration: 21:34.

So all of us at some level man or woman wants to be hero the word hero if latin

root means servo servo means servant it actually means slave the hero why there

the hero has become the ultimate servant to something larger than themselves

people and so forth the person who thinks they're going to

lead by demand or by position can only leave for a short period of time but the

person whose idea serving is my belief is if you can find a way to take any

group of people and help them to experience their needs at a richer

deeper level than anyone else then together you guys can get anything done

anything now it may not work the first time but together you can get to that

point because needs are ultimately after or not after the vehicle we think Raptor

you want a billion dollars then you get it I got plenty of clients and I will

tell you it is not the end game and so they have been they go on to their

second billion or you think it's getting married and then you get it you find out

it's not the end game there's certain needs that have to be there and the

ultimate needs are growing and giving because you only can feel so good fills

up by yourself so my core belief is I got to serve I serve I can lead because

I believe motive does matter if my motive is just to get you to do

something for me there's a certain amount of power that I can get to do

that if I strategize if I think if I feel and also if it serves a greater

good even if I don't intend it if the bumblebee goes to try to get the nectar

it wants it's selfish goal I believe is a higher power the guides at all

and when that bumbly goes it doesn't end to give anything but pollen sticks to

its legs as it goes about trying to get what it wants

that's how flowers are great I really believe that everything has a web of

connection if your intent is to serve yourself you're still going to serve

something more than yourself and you're getting a certain amount of insight if

your intent in your motive is to serve something yourself but also something

more just your kids then I believe you get a different level of insight and

because you're serving more of what serves life it's not just me it's me and

my family if you're trying to serve a community I believe you get a different

level inside trying to serve humanity well I get emotional feedback this is

why do what I did so when someone stands up it's not about business it's not

about anything but about serving them so I will use abrasive or creative language

I'll use whatever takes humor stupidity I'll make fun of myself I'll challenge

I'll do anything to serve that's why I'm here I don't need to do more but I love

to see someone free and alive lit up so when that's your motive I'm going to

help people perceive you outside if they're around you long enough

you can't hide what your real motive is and they'll see it and they'll feel it

motive does matter if it's to serve something high it'll be that that

doesn't mean you don't get served too and in business you got to be served or

I used to do business and I lose money the business everybody else was happy

and it was wonderful except I had no business so it's you know killing the

goose that lays the golden eggs so I've learned to put that balance in but that

gives me power that's why I try and disappear speech because I'm not about

getting some action that I'm about the outcome

there are certain patterns that cause people to be fulfilled to be happy to

fit to be strong to feel alive to be vibrant to have passion in their life to

do well financially but even more importantly emotionally psychologically

spiritually and their health and their relationships and there are also

patterns that make people frustrated overwhelmed depressed sad lonely cause

them to be struggling financially struggling with their body struggling

intimately and those patterns they're not because there's something wrong with

somebody's because of a pattern that we're doing but what's the fastest way

to create a change in basically developing the one thing that all people

have in common to succeed their leaders because I don't care what what style you

are I don't care if you're a mom if you're a great mom you lead your child

you're not led by your child or great dad you're great businessperson you're

great salesperson you're a great negotiator you're great anything you're

great human being things this has been my entire life's

obsession what makes the difference in people's lives and that leadership

component as I say doesn't always mean somebody follows you a leader somebody

live life on their terms that you will never settle for less than you can be or

share or give or create it's not what we get that makes us happy it's who we

become how we live our life who we are as a person people can take away all the

things but who you become no one can take away and the problem is most of us

are trying to be something or not and it isn't so much about change not changing

yourself the change happens when you do yourself know thyself that's the hard

part for most people and then be thyself because most of us in our lives out of a

desire for respect or achievement or love or connection or something

we've been fine a beat of the way we think we'd have to be in order to get

that love respect appreciation whatever it is we've been after at some

unconscious level and we've been doing it so long that we think that this is

who we are because success without fulfillment is failure and I can't tell

you how many people I work with who are supposedly the best in the world at what

they do and they have more money than they can spend and they have all these

people that love and respect them and yet they're unhappy inside because if

you want to know what's really you well you're going to be a

five is when it's really you and you may think you know who you are because

you've been living a certain way but I'll tell you how you'll know you'll

feel euphoric you'll feel strong you'll feel unlimited you'll feel free I have

seen and a three million people around this earth and eighty countries I've

seen just better than you can see and there are only so many patterns and what

you're going to find underneath all of this behavior is we have the same needs

when you understand what those needs are and which ones you're focusing on you

start to understand why people do the crazy things they do including you and I

and you begin to understand hey there might be a better way to meet my needs I

don't have to get caught up in this game of stress and frustration upset or I

could really help this person I care about because I could see what's really

going on part of what we want to accomplish here as leaders is we want to

become practical psychologists we want to understand what's really going on so

we can help so we can make a difference so we can transform so yes of course you

can do better in your business because the more you understand about what

people need and want the greater your going to be the better manager a better

leader the better mom or dad the better friend and there's a better you that's

available when you understand what's driving you but most of us are running

patterns over and over again and we want to free that up to free it up we got to

break the pattern we got to do things that are different so we're going to do

something different I'm not here because I believe in positive thinking if you

think's that's what I believe you don't know much about me I'm not one those

people who believes you're supposed to go to your garden and chance there's no

weeds there's no weeds there's no reason

there's weed right there right that's what I believe

here's what I believe I believe if you really want to be effective you got to

tell the truth what I want you to get is the single most important skill of life

it's the word that all leaders have what would that word D influence what changes

companies is leaders the only way to change the company is leadership and I

want to change a company that I own and I want to make a shift in that company

the number one thing I'm going to do is shifting leadership that might be taking

leaders to a different level that might bring new leaders in that buy me new

leaders of new voices with new perspectives with new skill sets and new

directions but we need to take things to the global leaders solve problems and

leaders maximize resources if you're going to solve problems you can't do it

yourself it would already been solved you have to get others to help you to do

it that requires influence true if you give

people to maximize resources that requires influence if you're going to

get people to partner with you provide you resources capital suppliers anything

that requires influence if you're going to have an impact on your kids or your

community or the world that requires influence there is no more important

skill of leadership than influence and yet most of us think of it like selling

and as a result we don't master influence so I'm not here today to try

and get you to become a master of influence in 45 minutes or so by

chatting with you here because we have so many other speakers this is the area

of life I am most focused on because I know that if you can't influence you

can't lead but if you can influence powerfully intelligently with integrity

there's no limit to whatever you can envision and what you can make real and

if your influence becomes not just use the influence but you're able to

influence systems people company culture if you can turn other people into

influencers now whatever your vision about can be made into reality and so as

a skill of influence we're going to ask ourselves from the agree leaders are

what change companies rate to have a degree that say I

and leaders number one skills influence of degrees say aye

but then the question becomes how do you influence how do you influence

consistently with integrity you can influence many ways you can do it out

integrity but the good news is we live in a world today where whatever you do

is transparent to the world because there are no secrets anymore other I

don't try to have a secret today bless you you can forget the secret but the

Internet with a culture we have the way the world is today there are no more

secrets and whatever you think is still possibly keep secret give it three or

four more years and it'll be impossible every phone call you make is recorded

there's no single phone call that goes in turn out in North America that they

don't have a recording of and they can search by word by tone by tempo they can

even recognize voices now there is no thinking of such thing as privacy

everything you've ever put on the Internet is there forever

and people know it and can search it the way you write the searchable map you

cannot sign you email you can put it on somebody else's email and the structure

of your language and the way you've influenced things can be study at this

level so the good news about that is manipulation as a ongoing tool for

success is over but adding value will never go out of style truth will never

go out of style so influencing with integrity is the

secret but what really influences people do facts and figures we give you the

facts and figures out of a core story is I can influence people no it's the

weaving of that story together in a way that produces what shifts people and

that's human emotion ultimately the big game here is emotion you have to

influence emotion you have to influence the most of your people if you're going

to maximize resources if we all agree as we talked about the other day it's not a

lack of resources it's a lack of what resourcefulness if you're creative

enough if you're playful enough if you're determined enough if you're

focused enough you can find a way if you're giving enough if you're generous

enough if you're honest enough if you're courageous enough you will get people to

help you you will find the way you will make that thing happen you'll access the

resource you got some of the code you teach you loan it to you let you try it

drive it experience it so it's the ability influence emotion because that's

what affects our intellect that's about in line a core story is

only there to give you a set of facts to educate

someone that will make them emotional up to make a decision and what they do is

they go through a series of things that you have emotions about and they save

them in a non emotional way but the only reason they work is because you know

they're going to open the person's emotion how many agree with me on this

ai so as leaders we can never forget the humans are emotional creatures including

ourselves and to influence other people we have to know what already influences

them we can't ever forget what truly

influences them it's going to come down to our ability to connect with them at a

deep emotional level or get others to do the same here's how I say it a really

simple term to influence someone you have to already be influenced right to

move somebody you better be moved to touch somebody you can't touch somebody

about your product or service or vision right here your company if you're not

touched to persuade others you have to be persuaded you can't give somebody

else what you don't have now you may have been intellectually and here's the

challenge we first meet somebody in your relationship and you're all excited

what's a little energy like zero to ten make the sound of that energy and meet

somebody you're totally excited by making this at six months six years

twenty years later that's scary at it and it's not time because there are

people I've been with them then together 65 years and they're still out of their

mind for each other they make the same amount of noise you did in the beginning

here what changes is very often when you're around something enough I don't

care what it is there's a law called the law of familiarity the law of

familiarity says this if you're around something enough you take it just a

little bit for granted and as a matter what it is it's not that you don't care

it used to it it's that the variety of it is not quite as high it's not so new

and with that sometimes you give it less significance even though in your heart

you know it's significant you don't keep the aliveness of it it becomes simply

you intellectualize versus something you feel inside your body with a passion so

there people say but we love each other yeah oh that's great

you know hug each other right now and then you say you love it you give vision

little kiss like that was that I was in the beginning no it isn't time it's that

most people don't understand that this emotion this intensity this passion has

to be constantly reinforced every single day and like any muscle if you don't use

it you so then you have the base understanding why you do what you do but

you've lost the energy that makes it alive so if you're going to be touching

people you got to be touched then the question is how do we influence

ourselves how do we influence other people we've got to get them into their

emotions we got to get ourselves into the emotions they're going to move us to

action we got to do that ongoing because otherwise all the stuff you wrote down

will die it'll die in your book it'll die in your head it has to be a level of

emotion level hunger in you that makes you go follow through there's got to be

level of energy knew that when you go share with people you're able to

influence them to follow through and when they don't do it enough to get back

in there with them again and get them to do it again this is where the whole game

gets won or lost degree you disagree with me on this so what we got to look

at is first of all us how many do you have days when you wake up and you feel

like I don't want to talk to people today how many got days like this in

your life say I but again as I said the other day if you're the leader you don't

have that choice you're the leader you have to get in a good state leader you

have to get yourself in that place and how many of you have had some gut checks

let me see again in the last six months 12 months in your business with economic

economy changing life has never changed before how many got those got jets AI so

what do we do we have to become masters of influence which means we have to be

able to master the state of our own organization the master state of our own

organizations got to know how to change that how fast my friends how fast and

where does it have to start ourselves since were the first constraint and if

we can do with ourselves and influence then we can teach everybody else to

influence we've said business is innovation and marketing you have to

influence be able to innovate because they're not going to just do it because

they're used to what works and it's easier and they know it innovation means

massive what change how many people go give me more massive change in my life

with all the other things I'm trying to hang on to they're not going to do that

you have to influence people to innovate and marketing is influence so what

influences us is our States how do we change our states let's start with you

and I and would anybody want to work with you've worked with me before you

know the first answer if you're going to change somebody state the fastest way to

do it is physical trying to change somebody's mind is really hard change

their body their mind will go if you give someone else alcohol and just see

how quickly you can change them true give it up alcohol I don't care who they

are they're going to change what are you

changing biochemistry physiology physical body and the emotion the mind

will shift that's why people take drugs it's why people eat when they go e it's

a biochemical change in their body so but we can do this through movement we

can do this to change so if you want to be the leader and you're going to be

affected first thing I say to all of you going home so you don't feel overwhelmed

is you need to develop a ongoing discipline because we are our rituals I

mean a physical one if you want to say well why is my life the way it is today

look at your rituals whether you call them rituals or not you have them most

of you get up and you have a set of rituals you go straight to email or you

go straight work out or you have your breakfast or you hit them snooze long at

least three times your ritual who knows what I'm talking about here and if you

want to know what somebody's like you can see the rituals these are looking

anybody's body in this room if you haven't take their clothes off and you

know some of their rituals or lack thereof is it true if every day you get

up and your ritual is you go to Starbucks in order a smoking book or

whatever those things are that you have right and a big muffin and whatever it

is right that's what you do every day it's not hard to figure out what you're

going to be like my 10:30 in the morning you're going to look at me next coffee

and it's whatever is going to stimulate your adrenal glands like crazy and

they're going to drop predictably and we know what your stress levels can be like

we know when you're really going to go and say it's predictable because of your

rituals if you eat a certain way you can predict that person is going to be fat

and tired you need a different way you know if a person eats and the exercise a

certain way you know the body's going to be like who here works out five

week never misses it's just your life let me see your hands look at look at

whatever Bieber that's fantastic house like everybody Hannah's really fantastic

who here honestly never works out consistently right don't clap tires

what's interesting I'm not saying one is right as one is wrong but with those two

different rituals create a different body yes or now if we wanted to really

make it clear we'd say everybody works out five days a week stand up we can

look at them sit down everyone doesn't work out stand up look at them it'll be

pretty obvious now some people's metabolism is different than get by with

different things with you get the picture don't you your relationships

today are the results of your rituals is the first thing eating every day when

you come home is honey and then you go and give a little peck on the cheek and

then you sit down and start typing your emails or you flip on the news it's not

hard to know what your relationships gonna be like you guys might love each

other but it's going to be one boring dead relationship it's like having a

brother or sister but if your new ritual was and you just in the beginning you

made it ritual just made for fun you say every day when I come home the men I'm

going to do those already yell my husband or wife's name or sometimes I

want my wife's little crazy so I go Lucy I'm all and then we both go running

wherever she is now's wherever the helps me go running full-speed like lovers

haven't seen each other in six months we do it ask my assistant all the time not

every day but it's our ritual to this process right it's just a crazy thing

thank you thank you I please you campus up I'm telling you to do this I'm

telling us to do once you create yours because when you do that and you're

playful and crazy and you do the basis that you can't wait to see each other

and the biggest ritual that we have besides physical by the way let me just

say T there's this when you go home if you want to transform your business

transform you by creating first if you don't already have one a set of physical

rituals that you're not going to miss I don't give it three days a week four

days a week something is going to make you physically strong because in a place

where there's going to be a lot of fear the way you deal with crisis is number

one thing you should do is feed your mind and you're doing that get yourself

new answers immerse

selfic new environments get new voices have new perspectives ask some new

questions is that what we've been doing here right and we're doing it together

and bringing all these people together I basically to create innovation in your

life and marketing I've assembled here 19 people you assemble five days your

life and we're just rocking day and night it's the total immersion of what I

taught you in innovation it's really what it is but it's going to continue

for it to continue that we've also been managing your state to a great extent

all right most of you don't call home in four or five days they start clapping

like crazy and screaming and shaking you don't do that you should write something

to go like wow it doesn't get worse name is at the seminar instead of no I'm back

here by myself my people aren't doing this but some of you will go home and

initiate this you're going to have your physiology five your five minutes of

physiology shift once an hour once every 90 minutes or no more than once every

two hours you're going to start your morning with everybody you're going to

bring in and get some little audio clip of something from a movie or something

that blast across you know the room and have everybody standard attention you're

going to do some crazy stuff and you're smart go over examples and see what they

do they got the most crazy stuff going on there all the stuff that I do in

seminars they do every day at their location with their people and people

can't wait to get the work they're in a certain State

A Chelsea Film: Wherever You May Be - Duration: 20:24.

Imagine you were standing on the moon

Over the horizon a planet appears. The Earth

Which colours do you see? Yes, that's what I thought.

Blue and white

An Earth with 194 countries

thousands of cities and billions of people.

But somewhere on this planet you will find a location that gathers so many of us together

People all over the world are looking at this location

from every single corner of planet Earth

What's so special about this location?

Let's find out

Let's get away from the moon and approach this blue planet right over there.

Fasten your seatbelt and enjoy the journey.

Well for years I lived about 20 minutes walk away

It was fantastic there

To be out walk alone on a match before the game

Stroll alone start to see people turning up

Walking along that same look in their eyes

as they get near you.

The excitement mounts a bit whatever the game

You don't feel as if you walking along on your own

you're all just one part of one bigger thing as you go along to the ground

And it just builds up in you as until you get there

Whatever route you come into it you'll always gonna look

at that certain bit of the ground and you're like "Yes I'm there".

I think it crazy that even in Arizona all the way like to far from London

where there are just people that have the same passion as I do for the club

One of the biggest qualities of Chelsea is the ability to gather

All the supporters as a unit

As a family and as brothers.

I mean you sit down like in this pub

you sit down and you've got people from all over the world

You bump into once, sometimes once a season, twice a season

Sometimes every week

You have always got this same, it's a common

kind of just talking point as if you have known them for ages.

It's fantastic.

So here in Phoenix we are officially

a part of Chelsea in America

Our specific group is called The Phoenix Blues

and we've got a great group here.

People from all ages that come out to the pub

whether the game is at 4:30 or 5:30 in the morning

9:30 whenever it is

It's always an early kick off time

and all people from our local area come out to support

the same team that we all love.

Chelsea Italia was born in 1996 in Udine, in the north of Italy

The founder was Stefano Frantz, who fell in love with the Blues after a trip in England

in which he managed to watch a few Chelsea games

It's been love at first sight

My first game as a Chelsea fan....

...1978.

10 years old got brought by me dad.

He's been a Chelsea fan all his life and his dad

An evening game against New York Cosmos

A friendly but we had just under 40.000 at the time

The Shed was packed, everywhere was packed basically

And the whole game we were really really pushing

and a very young Ray Wilking

got a cracking 30-yarder to make it 1-1

and the place went nuts

Even if you never been before it was that massive elation

It was the best kind of feeling when that goal went in

And it feels the same every week especially if it's against Tottenham

So here in India we have a pretty good fan base.

Run by our supporter club that is Chelsea India Supporter Club.

We are officially associated with Chelsea

We are a gold tier supporter club.

I'm a Chelsea fan as you can see from my shirt.

Why I love Chelsea, because that's the only club that

I started supporting from a very very young age.

Chelsea is my life and I've been supporting Chelsea since I was a kid

And I feel very much proud to support Chelsea

This is like my home

It's like more than a club more than a football team for me.

I can't describe my passionate love for Chelsea

and I'm a passionate fan from Nepal

Come on Chelsea!

You know, watching certain players

When I was growing up, I really wanted to be like those guys around the field.

Players that really played like the fans of the club

Petr Cech I always wanted to be like him in goal

just absolute fearless

Going to do whatever it took for the club for the team and

proudly wearing the shirt.

Players like John Terry out there

Captain, Leader, Legend.

There's no player like him and honestly in my lifetime

I'm not sure that I will ever see another player like him

For Chelsea or anyone

Drogba was really what got me into this.

Following the Ivory Coast

and that beautiful story behind him.

At the 2006 World Cup

is really what made me wanted to support him and support Chelsea

Just the fact that one man was able to

to bring a country together that had been fighting for so long

I wanted to follow him and I wanted to support him in every single

endeavor that he did

He is a hero

He is an absolute hero.

I felt in love with the English football

when I was just a little boy

Why The Blues?

Obviously because of legends

you should remember.

like Zola

Di Matteo

Vialli.

Players who made history for the club

and who used to play for Chelsea at that time

It has been amazing for us.

Well for years I lived about 20 minutes walk away

It was fantastic there

To be out walk along on a match day before the game

Stroll along see people starting to turn up

Walking along that same look in their eyes

as they get near you.

The excitement mounts a bit whatever the game

You don't feel as if you walking along on your own

You're all just one part of one bigger thing as you go along to the ground

Chelsea FC is my life

It will always be my life.

No other words can describe it.

I'm always Chelsea till I die.

Keep the blue flag flying high.

Sitting down one afternoon for an evening game

Just chatting to the guy who was here

Who's become my best friend

Comes from Denmark every game here.

Go over to his supporter group in Denmark

And when we go there

and last year

12 of us went over there for a few days to watch an away game

And it's absolute fantastic. We feel

it's like...

...coming in here it's the same feeling

It's absolute brilliant theirs enthusiasm

as I said if you're not able to get somewhere every week

Going into this Chelsea in America chapter

out here in Phoenix it's been really great because

I mean, I've met people that I never would have met before.

I can just cheer on my club and I can go to another state or another county

And find another group where I can just feel at home

Really support my team and I think it crazy that even in Arizona

All the way like so far away from London where

There are just people that have the same passion that I do for the club

And it's just great to have this support.

Yes I know you have to cope with people

asking you why do you support a foreign team?

Why do you support a team that play in another country?

Okay you like Chelsea but still who do you support in Italy?

Because many people think that some supporters are not well enough

just because they live in another country.

I just want to prove them wrong

because I think we are real supporters and we try our best to travel as much we can

And we want to make the players feel our passion and our support.

You could have the conversation with them as if you've known them for ages

You could talk about the same things because if anything

they are properly more

up to date with everything that's happening than you are

But I mean you sit down just like in this pub

you sit down and you've got people from all over the world

You bump into once, sometimes once a season, twice a season

It's a common kind of just talking point as if you have known them for ages.

It's fantastic.

I have been at Stamford Bridge a few times

I try to make it over there at least once a year

My first game in person was actually against Rubin Kazan in the Europa League

And that was just a great experience

walking into Stamford Bridge the first time

A feeling like no other

Experiencing the atmosphere and the people there

And being on Fulham Road and going to the pub and just meeting people from all over.

It just really shows how the Chelsea family is connected

You meet people from different countries from the same country as yourself.

You may never have met them before but you meet them there in England

which is a really cool experience.

Even though we are so far away from the club in London

We really get to be a part of something here that's really special

People that are dedicated

People that are passionate just the same way we are

Getting up at 5:30 in the morning to go watch a match with your brothers and sisters

All wearing the Chelsea shirts all singing the songs

Cheering in beers in 6 in the morning

There's really no feeling like it.

Some of the disadvantages that go hand in hand with that

We do have this small disconnect between us an London

and the club. Just because of the time difference

Some logistical challenges we face

but overcoming those makes you feel even more passionate.

and even more strongly about the club

Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Kolkata

even the North East places they have really huge fan following Chelsea

We decided to start a fan page

We reached three years after that 135.000 followers

This page means everything to us it's simply a way for us

To express ourselves to Chelsea

Especially as we live in Lebanon

We are a family connected far away from London.

Forever Blue for ever Chelsea

It's just a really cool feeling to know that

No matter where you go Chelsea unites people whether

you are a supporter of 50 years or supporter of 1 year

There's always people there that will have your back

And they are there to cheer on the same team that we all love.

This year has been really special after

a some more disappointing season in 2015/16

To bring in Antonio Conte as our manager

And to see the success we have had under new management.

It has just been great to watch and it's been awesome being a Chelsea supporter the past 10-12 years.

That's difficult to describe that feeling

Purely because of how everything was stacked against us

And we really went against the odds

Just to get through

Absolutely incredible scenes

Something I can't even put into words

The way I felt

I think Chelsea is about this spirit, about this passion

This brotherhood

This togetherness and this freedom

We have become a family

I have been a part of the Phoenix Blues for about a year now

I didn't really know it was here.

Finally figured out "Oh you guys are here".

Having an amazing pub and amazing atmosphere.

I have met some of my closest friends through Chelsea

through Phoenix Blues.

It's a family to me, Chelsea is a family

The team is special to me just because of their passion

Their desire and the fans

Since following the team I really felt like I've been a part of a family

And Chelsea have really become a family to me.

Regardless what happens on the pitch

I know I always have a family around me

whether it's here in Phoenix or abroad in London

There's always a group of people that I have something in common with

And we can always support the team together win lose or draw.

It is so amazing to be here in Phoenix

in the middle of essentially nowhere.

Where a bunch of people over all the place

coming together to watch Chelsea together

I think Chelsea saved my life many times

We have dark periods

and bright periods.

But to be a Chelsea fan is good because

We don't lose the hope, never!

The feeling we get when Hazard bangs in a beauty

Or when John Terry applauds the fans

and kisses the badge it's simply unbeilable

There's nothing like it

It's a lot of people who love the same club we have

Our blood is blue

Up The Blues, Keep the blue flag flying high!

One life...

One love...

One club.

If I should describe Chelsea in five words

I would say....

Chelsea is simply my life.

You can feel Chelsea, you can breathe Chelsea

you can be Chelsea

Wherever you may be.

Hi! I'm Rory and I'm really struggling to record this video

It's been 5 minutes that my camera is recording

so I will go directly to the point of this video

I decide to shoot this video because

I just want to start my

the first one is because

I am really scared to forgot things

the second reason is because

I don't consider my self an ambitious person

but I have a lot of dreams

and I'm really curious to see if in one year from now

I can realize at least one of them

this video is like my fist step

in order to push my self to do things

Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM Lens review/unboxing - Best Canon Lens for Youtube - Duration: 6:37.

boom, guess what I just got?

nothing to stop me alone

what's happening everyone's Zak here and today I've got a canon lens that I've ordered

online and you can pretty quick to order than a year a cannon EF 50 millimeter

1.4 USM

I was going to go with 1.2 but I looked a lot of reviews and it wasn't for me

right now where I am it wasn't worth it so I was like this is a good start and

the photos and everything I will link you below so if you check out my

Instagram at SAC shots I'll put a lot I actually do a put a lot of effort in

that account at that shot which I have a lot of photos there right now which you

can go check and I'll be using this lens to produce even better photos because

photography is one part of me and I love doing it and the geography is another so

from kind of a yeah happy that I can do all this so let's get into this lens

unboxing and I'll do a review after as well so there should be in this channels

off so let's go and see what's in the box a lot of paperwork that comes in

this really nice package couple of is like a number

let's give me and so rad steps and this is the whole men and comes with the

white top and bottom cups so we're going to take it off and look inside it

because that's what you want that's 1.4 so that's pretty white up this all but

if I compared with my kit lens which is like what's that five to five point six

and you can see the difference like I bring it up so this this is one point

for the aperture is wider them and look at the difference oh my God

look how close this one is enough how wide open this one is it's amazing why

you can look this through here all right so this looks so I'll put this one this

is just the kit length so I'll just look into the build quality or is it built

metal and now 200 percent made out of plastic as you can see so and then build

quality the cloth looks pretty similar image it looks clean as right now look

at that glass is perfectly shine right now well not for long so it's a usm lens

made in Japan 50 mil the 50 millimeter that I got II seems that they focus

where the focus ring doesn't work so I'll show you that's the maximum it

moves look watch listen as you can see it another focus

that's all it moves taken on screen

this shows that

okay from here dancing much but the movement is very minimal so I'm going to

have to return this and get a new one hopefully the dial and the dial I'll put

in the cameras direct so I'll put other focus so yeah that oh did I mess this up

I did what I did okay so that's the dope quality and what I was gonna it's just

an unboxing in my I've got no experience with it so I want to put it on the

camera and start taking some photos and obviously I'll produce as much with this

as possible or usually for videography as well now I'm a first impression of

this lens Aragon is pretty cool so far but look pretty much the same as the kit

lens I go now I can piece on this on the fixed lens so produce a lot of produce a

amazing portrait photography which I will post on exact shots which you can

go follow me on Instagram and I will do videos with this the videos for a marvel

of channel which you can follow as well it's youtube.com slash slash this vector

far from the channel it's on the screen right now and also do the videos in

photography actually link everyone every channel that I work on do videos for in

the description so I'll be using these lens and the video quality come wait and

all right there will be this unboxing and obviously sort of box outside inside

but that's the little quick unboxing and I'll do review whether it is all and

that should be coming out soon thank you I'm out

purse

[Cities Skylines Asset] modular Altenburg station - Duration: 3:58.

Hey Guys, I'm Titan and this is this week's Cities Skylines asset introduction video.

Today I released a new modular station for our favorite game.

Namely: the station of Altenburg, a town in the German state of Thuringia.

I needed a mid-sized station for a smaller town on my map and as it's me I of course

wanted it to be modular so it can be used in many different ways.

What you see in this video is actually more than what is included in this asset.

This asset gives you the station building,

A first platform to be directly connected to the station

and a middle platform that you can place near the station building.

Just pay attention to the distance between station building and middle platform or between

middle platform and middle platform.

It shouldn't be larger than 5 units.

The needed mods, which I will mention later, cause a little bug: the first track after

the platform can't be moved with MoveIt!

So you should place a really short track after the platforms and then everything you want.

Now the needed mods: One-Way Train Tracks is needed for the platforms and so it is very

important.

Multi-Track Station Enabler is needed for choosing the right tracks when creating train lines

It probably also works without this mod but I highly recommend it.

The other platforms and platform extensions you see in this video will be released on a later day

when I finally got them to work properly.

And now some background information about the real station:

The station was built in 1878 when Altenburg still was a ducal seat so its

station should reflect this.

That led to its neo-baroque design and its main entrance being decorated with golden ornaments

Nowadays the station is rather unimportant and only suburban trains to or from Leipzig stop there

Now in the end some technical data: due to its many arched windows the station building

got over 7000 tris.

The LOD model uses only 114 tris so your game should handle this.

The two platforms both use less than 1000 tris and their LODs are also quite small.

I hope you liked this video and of course the asset itself.

If you did, leave a like, a comment and at best subscribe to my channel and also to the asset.

Especially liking the asset on steam would help me a lot and I'd really appreciate this.

Now if you're interested in more of my buildings, on the right side you can switch to my last

asset and to a complete playlist with all of my assets.

Until then, see you in my next Video!

COMO É O ENSINO MÉDIO NOS ESTADOS UNIDOS? | ft. YOUBET TRAVELING SCHOOL - Duration: 8:59.

Once again, Amigo Gringo responds...about high school.

Welcome to part I of our special about high school in the United States.

I asked you to send questions via Facebook, and I got

so many that I came to two conclusions.

First, you all watch a LOT of TV shows about high school,

and second, I won't be able to answer all those questions in a single video,

I'll do two.

And both are brought to you by YouBet Traveling School,

which in January will offer a 20-day exchange program in which Brazilian students will immerse themselves

in the routine of an American high school in Colorado,

in which they'll get a locker, attend sports practices, and much more.

OK, the first question is from Isabela Zarantonello, who wrote:

"Amigo Gringo, in American schools are students required to wear school uniforms?"

It might be surprising, but very few public schools in the United States require uniforms.

In Brazil, it's much more common. It might be because the United States is a more individualistic country

and the right to dress as you wish is a part of that.

The advantage of school uniforms is that families spend less on clothing,

and that's why the use of school uniforms is more common in our poorer communities.

It's also very common in religious schools, perhaps because they are more traditional.

But in schools that don't have uniforms, can students wear whatever clothes they want?

No, many schools have dress codes, and they can be controversial.

In my research for this video, I spoke with a friend's daughter who said that in her school

the rules apply more to girls than to boys.

For example, there are rules about skirt and short length, and she finds that unfair.

But other schools have rules for boys, too. For example, t-shirts can't have...

...vulgar messages...

...and they can't be...

...tank tops...

or be

half-shirts,

and though I couldn't find specific examples,

I think you're not allowed to go to school...

in just a Speedo. Shall we take a break before the next question?

I think we need a dress code for Amigo Gringo, too.

It's about time.

OK, for the next question, Matheus Carvalho wrote:

"Amigo Gringo, I want to know if cliques really exist like in the movies, with bullies, popular kids, nerds, etc."

And Vinicius Santana had a similar question. He wrote:

Do people really overvalue jocks and cheerleaders as we see in just about every American TV series?

OK, folks, it was true in my time, and I confirmed with three current students, one teacher and one principal

that it is still true today.

Well, it's not quite as extreme as we see on TV shows.

For example, one of the students told me that it's not impossible for a nerd to be friends with a jock.

And the cliques are not as rigid in smaller schools,

where there aren't enough students to divide themselves among so many groups.

But just like in films, when you go to the cafeteria, the football team

is sitting together at one table, the nerds at another, the artists at another,

and the best-looking students at another.

So, why do we have such sharp divisions?

My theory is [What is your theory?]

that American high schools are not just about classes. [I agree.]

Extracurricular activities are more important. [That's it.]

Most students participate on the baseball team, chess team, clubs, theater [I'm hungry! Later, Amigo Gringo!]

student newspaper, etc.

And it's during those activities that more lasting friendships are formed.

As for jocks and cheerleaders being overvalued,

it depends a lot on the school, but it's true in many.

The daughter of a friend told me that when two people meet at her school,

the first question asked is "What sport do you play?"

It's less important for girls, but especially in areas where football is important, like Texas,

cheerleaders are given just as much importance.

Next, Caroline Stefany wrote: "Amigo Gringo, is it true that students keep their stuff in lockers?

If that's true, I'd like to know why."

I loved this question, because for us, lockers are such a normal part of schools

that it surprises me that you find them odd.

Yes, there really are lockers, but their use varies by school.

In some, everyone uses them.

In others, many carry their stuff with them in backpacks.

Now, why? I thought of two answers. First, unlike many schools in Brazil,

students don't have a permanent classroom that teachers rotate to.

Teachers have set rooms and the students go from room to room, and not always as a group.

So it would be hard to carry your books around with you all day long, right?

And at least in schools in colder regions of the country, everyone arrives at school in winter with coats, boots,

gloves, hats, etc. But the schools are heated, and it doesn't make sense to wear your coat everywhere.

Where to put them? In your locker?

NEW YORKESE CLASS

Thanks to everyone who sent questions. In the next few weeks we'll have part two,

in which we'll talk about which subjects are mandatory,

and if detention really exists like on TV.

Now, I want to talk a bit more about that exchange program from Youbet Traveling School.

YouBet offers full immersion into an American high school. Students will spend 20 days

at Campion Academy, a boarding school where they will be share dorm rooms with American students

Some days, they'll go to normal classes with them,

and other days they'll go to special English classes.

In addition to that, there are field trips - to ski, to a museum in Denver, to a church, to a mall.

Contact information is in the description, say Amigo Gringo sent you.

And now, your New Yorkese class, and it comes from a question from Elaine Yasuoka, who asked:

Amigo Gringo, don't you guys study world geography?

Americans don't seem to know how to find other countries on a map.

OK, in the U.S., unlike Brazil and other countries, we generally don't have a subject called geography.

Normally, it's part of other subjects.

So that might explain some of our ignorance.

Another part is that we learn a lot more about North America and Europe

than about the rest of the world.

Africa and Latin America are often brushed aside.

And in what class do American students learn, er, "learn" geography?

It's "social studies," our term of the day.

In social studies class, students study society - that's where the name comes from.

And the subject combines economics, anthropology, government, current events, and maybe a little geography.

How to change that? That will be hard, because it's states and municipalities that determine curriculum.

Almost nothing is decided in our capital, whereas in Brazil's capital, the Dep't of Education has more influence.

A (NOT SO) BRIEF INTRODUCTION - Duration: 6:36.

Hi, guys! How are you? My name is Patricia Fagundes and this is Mythology As You've Never Seen!

And today's episode is:

A not so brief introduction

First of all, welcome to my new channel

Allow me to introduce it to you

Here, I'll post videos related to Mythology and History

Curiosities and other more complex explanations about old and new beliefs

But first and foremost, you can already like this video and follow me on social media, to be up-to-date on my news!

In case you want more mythological information, you can access my website: www.patfagundes.com and have fun!

And, in case you really like my job, you can help me up, supporting me on Patreon.

Link's on the description box below!

Mythology is one of the subjects that fascinate me the most, along with languages and science in general.

I like things that show the complexity that the beings and the world itself can reach.

Have you ever stopped to think about the creativity of the peoples around the globe

when they tried to explain events that rudimentary Science couldn't and the modern one still can't?

I find it absolutely incredible.

Just as a thing can have thousands of different names in different languages

A god can have countless facets, depending on where you are on the globe.

In my opinion, and I make it clear: it's just an opinion, after all, I'm not the possessor of truth...

there are no right or wrong religions.

I believe we are far too fascinating and complex beings to think that there is only one way

to explain things.

After all, if our own body is of that much complexity

why would the universe, which is far bigger, be simple?

Isn't that so?

I believe that there is whatever makes sense to each and every one of us.

I think that faith is like tailor-made clothes.

You can't just force someone to believe in the same stuff that you do, because you're different people

and have, therefore, different realities.

And that doesn't mean that different is wrong.

For example, I'll never be able to explain the shades of blue I see in the sky, or my skin tone...

which is white...

very white...

kinda like a wall.

But the important thing is that you feel well and do well for the people around you.

That's unquestionable

The whole problem begins with intolerance and violence.

We don't need that.

Respect is fundamental, and it's from comprehension that it emerges.

Ignoring the existence of others' faiths doesn't make you more of a believer in your own.

Just as knowing the gods of others' beliefs doesn't make you faithful to them.

Knowledge is a gift, we just need to know how to use it.

One thing: I'm not a mythologist...

nor a scientist...

nor a historian...

or archaeologist...

not even en expert in any civilization...

nor theologian.

I'm just a self-taught addict on studies.

With a shelved degree in Foreign Affairs...

...everything to do with this.

So, it took me a while to start posting these videos, because I was studying too much!

I was never confident enough to start recording, and...

to be honest, I'm still not.

But, if I was gonna wait the required knowledge to make these videos the way I wanted

they'd be posted in 2087.

Like...

sort of

guessing broadly.

The more we study, the less we know, and that sensation is real!

Our mind expands with more information, and that expansion also creates an empty space

that remains empty

and gives us the feeling, more and more

that we don't really know anything!

And it's impossible to know what really happened in the past, because

we weren't really there to see it, right?

There's a fine line between Mythology, which is the study of myths

and religion, that, in a nutshell, is the connection between the profane, natural world

and the sacred, supernatural world.

All that today is Mythology, was once a religion.

Not, hold on, for real?

All that's not your religion, to you, is Mythology.

We can simply tell myths like stories and fantasies

But remember that these stories had a much deeper and symbolic value

to the peoples that created them.

They're myths endowed with faith, and that's where the respect part comes in.

Even though I joke around...

and I will...

a lot...

I want you to know that in any way I want to offend or even discredit any faith

being it ancient or recent

Ok?

How will this channel work?

Every Tuesday at ten o'clock in the morning (GMT -3) I'll post a new video of the series

Mythology As You've Never Seen.

I'll try to make them short, divided into thematic parts

so that it doesn't get too tedious, because you know...

Nobody has any patience to watch a trillion hours in video nowadays, isn't it right?

I'll use primary sources, the original texts of each culture, in case they exist...

and secondary sources, books that explain the given topics

And I'll list all of them in the description box below, so you can consult it.

I'm also studying the respective ancient languages to learn the original pronunciation of the names

BECAUSE I'M NOT PERFECCIONIST AT ALL, NO KIDDING

Every video will have Portuguese and English subtitles here on YouTube

so check it out, in case you haven't seen it yet and need it.

If you want to contribute with other languages too, I'll thank you.

Because, contrarily to popular belief, I don't speak every language in the universe.

The community contribution options are activated.

This channel won't have only the series Mythology As You've Never Seen, as its name indicates

but I'll also explain the History, culture and language of the peoples that created them.

And other videos with bloopers and other random things in different times and days

so don't forget to subscribe and activate the notification bell

to know whenever I upload a new video.

In case you have any questions or suggestions, you may leave it on the comments below.

I hope you've enjoyed this video, please share it with all your friends!

On my other channel, Patricia Fagundes, I post music videos, covers and original ones

gameplays and drawing tutorials, among other stuff that's even more random

Go check it out too!

And if you like to read, I have a fantasy book published, called Enfynie

and other story with mythological content, called A Viagem (The Journey), published online, for free.

Well, to finish the video, I have a question to you.

What is your favorite Mythology and why?

Leave your answer below, I'm curious to know!

And always remember, be creative!

Hi, guys, how are you? My name is Patricia Fagundes and this is Mythology As You've Never Seen!

It's tough.

Well, fiurstl...

Fiurstl...

Fiurst.

I said fiurst.

Mythology is one of the languag... pff, one of the languages.
