Youtube daily report Aug 24 2017

Hi there! In this tutorial, I'm going to show you

how to draw this super cute flower shaped Calendex

using this awesome tool: the Circlet by KUM.

This tool is great because it is a compass,

a protractor, ruler, and many more tools in one!

This point here will punch through the paper

so it can be used like a compass. And these tiny holes

let you use a pen or pencil to draw circles and lines

I just love it!

So... let's get to it!

These are the tools I used:

10 cm (4 in) Circlet

a mechanical pencil

washi tape and a fine point marker

I don't want to punch through the paper when tracing circles so I'll use a small piece of washi tape like so...

Since (most) washi tapes have a smooth

wax-like texture it will even help the protractor slide easier

Now we are ready to use the Circlet and we'll only punch through the washi tape instead of the paper

Give it a small push, and you're ready to go!

I'll trace the first cirle

It is marked with a 1

super easy

now, circle marked as 3

Don't worry about tracing evenly, you will ink over the guides.

Trace circle marked with a 5

Ta-da!

Now... (time for some math)

380... wait...

360! not 380, duh!

360 degrees (that make up a circle)

divided by 30 (days in September)...

12... So every 12 degrees that will be a day...

I'll trace a vertical line and then use the protractor feature...

...rotating the Circlet until I line up the vertical line to 12º and then I'll trace a line.

I'll repeat that step until I end up with 30 slices, one per day.

Let's move along to the inking process

I'm going to use the Circlet again, I changed my mind...

I'll ink using the Circlet again to make my life easer, hee, hee...

Remove the washi tape

Start drawing petals from the center and out

...one petal per day

following the traced guides

It's ok if it's not perfect.

we're going for that hand sketched look

Once done with that go ahead and trace the second layer of petals. One per day again

And again, don't worry about perfection. Just follow the guides as much as you can

we are going for the sketched look.

Erase the penciled lines...

Moving on to numbering each petal

One per day from 1-30

To make this a true Calendex

we must add the day of the week too

September starts on a Friday so...

I'll write one letter per day next to the number

So M... T... W... T... F... Sa... Su... and so on

Repeatedly until you fill up every day

I double traced between Sunday and Monday petals

to mark every start/end of the week...

... but I noticed it wasn't that obvious so I ended up adding a leaf too

I did like how it looked!

Add some shading and details...

just to add texture

Maybe the detailing inside the petals

will help you line up when writing in the petals

I added a single line per inside petal...

two per outside petal

add the month's title...

September, in this case

And let me show you how I would use this...

Inside petals are for all-day events

...such as birthdays or payment days.

Another example would be Rent due date

...a project due date

Yes, you'll have to either write super small or use a finer tip

*shrug*

Bigger petals are for scheduled appointments such as

a doctors appointment... or a manicure at 4 *shrug again*

Another cool feature is you could also use this

as a mood tracker by filling each petal in a different color

or just use a color code for different things you'd like to track

If you draw your own flower Calendex please share it!

I'm on Facebook and Instagram as @carolitarocreative

I hope you liked this tutorial!

Don't forget to give it a thumbs up and suscribe! Bye!

This week I'm with my family, we're going to get a nice family photo.

People!

Well!

This does help to point out our idiom this week,

which is: LIKE HERDING CATS.

This means the futile attempt to control or organize people, things or a situation.

For example:

Trying to take a nice family photo is so difficult!

It's like HERDING CATS!

All right!

I'm going to continue trying to HERD these CATS.

Debt Collection 101: Episode 2 - TCPA Lawsuits and the Three Second Pause - Duration: 5:31.

Hello. Hellooo. Hi, is this John Smith?

Specner: Thats sound of you guys getting sued.

Alex: Great intro Spencer.

Spencer: Thank you Alex. Alex: I'm Alex Villafranca with Arbeit software Spencer: and I am Spencer

Farrell also with Arbeit software. Alex: Wow, really? You work here too? Spencer: Shocking, you

just don't know it. Welcome back to the second episode of debt collection

101, The premier source for information on debt collection. Alex: Yes, on Arbeit U. Specer: The

best show on Thursdays, Noon East Coast Standard Time.

Alex: Alright, so what we're going to talk about today is the

three-second pause and how it relates to getting TCPA lawsuits. Spencer: More importantly

though, how to stop spending money on TCPA lawsuits. Alex: Wouldn't it be great

if you could just not get a TCPA lawsuit. Instead of

just defending it and winning it would be better just to not get one in the first place.

Spencer: I agree, no one wants a lawsuit. Alex: When we were developing our TCPA compliance

solution Arbeit Click, we spent a ton of time researching TCPA cases and while

doing so we kind of stumbled across something and it was the three-second

pause. Spencer: Bum Bum Buumm. Alex: Right, so in every single

TCPA case I've read or like

95% of them, it always represents the three-second pause before being

connected to a live representative. You have what robocallrights.com? Spencer: Yes yes,

robocallrights.com, this is the most interesting website in the world. It is a

questionnaire for people who may have think they've gotten called from a robo

dialer and attorneys kind of screening for applicants and what they look for.

So the third question down is "If not recorded, is there a pause when you

answer before being connected to a live operator?". So attorneys are looking

for that three-second pause in order to determine if they want to sue you or not.

Alex: Right. So I have another excerpt from a actual TCPA lawsuit that was filed in

that lawsuit is Killman versus Educational Credit Management

Corporation and the excerpt that we're reading is from page 5 section 22. It

specifically says, what Spencer? Spencer: Thats a great question Alex, great pivot. I love that. Each time

plaintiff answers a call from defendant there is a pause before plaintiff is

connected to a live person. Alex: Right. So we have another one here. Spencer: And that's how

they knew that it was an ATDS call. Alex: Yup, yup, one of these acutally says it.

So another one is Toric versus Fingerhut and that one says

here when plaintiff answered calls from Fingerhut she heard silence and had to

wait on a line to be connected to the next available representative. Spencer: Hmm. Alex: You

know I think you have another one actually, oh no I have that one.

Alright, so another one and it's the last one that I want to share here is a Ward

versus. Collection Bureau of America page 4 section 20 if you want to look it up

you can find it for yourself also it says specifically defendants telephone

system has the air mark of using an ATDs and or using robo calls in that

plaintiff upon answering calls from defendant her a period of silence

followed by a pre-recorder voice instructing her to hold for the next

available representative. Spencer: So these are real court cases where people had to

end up paying for using a ATDs to call a plaintiff's cell phone. But this is how

the plaintiff knew that it was in an ATDS calling them. So plain and simple if you

would like to avoid getting a TCPA lawsuit, do not use a product with the

three-second pause. Alex: Yeah I mean that's it's funny because whenever I've ended

an ACA Event, it seems like no one's ever talked about like how to prevent getting

the lawsuits in the first place. They always talk about well you want the human

intervention at the time of placing the phone calls which that's great yeah

that's easy to do but now why not just prevent that from even happening. Why not

to run yourself from getting a ctva case in the middle in the first place so I

always like to use the analogy if you walked into a bank with a ski mask on

you're going to probably get arrested. A big security guard is going to jump on you.

Something unpleasant is going to happen most likely. Why

not just avoid it altogether so why not just avoid TCPA suit altogether and...

Spencer: Don't wear a mask into a bank. Alex: Right don't have a three-second pause. Spencer: Amen.

Alex: Exactly. Spencer: So if you enjoyed this, stay tuned. Tons of more great stuff coming,

same time, same place, Noon East Coast Standard Time on Thursday. Alex: So if

you want also more tips for how to avoid a TCPA lawsuit check out our blog below.

Spencer: Written by one of our interns. Alex: Yup, 5 Tips on How to Avoid a TCPA

Lawsuit. There is a few more not as big as this one but there are more. Spencer: Can't

wait to see you next week. Alex: Thanks subscribe.

Challengeri Srbije Epizoda #2: Milica - Duration: 5:42.

My name is Aljoša Kovandžić, also known as Milica in League of Legends.

I played Mid for SBB Esports.

Currently I'm playing in the Russian Challenger Series for a team called Tricksters.

And I finished season 6 in Challenger on EU West.

First time I heard about LoL was from a friend in 8th grade.

I think that's when I played my first ever game of League.

The first champion I played was Annie, back in season 5

actually at the end of season 5.

I played my first LAN in Novi Sad, Big Gaming Challenge

where I had a pretty good performance.

We didn't win the tournament, we placed 2nd and lost only to Mantra W

after which they contacted me.

And basically I started playing as a sub.

First time I got Challenger was back in season 5 on EUNE

Most of my SoloQ improvement was due to watching professional players, mostly Koreans

Faker, Crown, Dopa.

And some European players.

The best advice I could give about climbing is not to tilt and never to think about your teammates.

If they're talking shit or just playing bad, you should only ever focus on yourself.

In 2015 we went to Korea as Mantra W to represent Serbia

In League of Legends.

We placed 3rd in League, only losing to Korea in the semi-finals.

But we won our 3rd place match against the representatives from Switzerland.

That was a pretty good experience for me, since it was one of the larger tournaments I have participated in.

Plus it was in Korea.

After coming back from Korea we started talking to Instinct, we told them we wanted to build a Serbian team

And that's how we started playing in the Greek league.

First we won the first season of Fortuna, but with a different roster.

Top was IcyPeja, and our jungler was Colamax.

Even though at that point we had the original Instinct team

with Sacre on top

and Stefan in the jungle, we decided to play Fortuna with IcyPeja and Colamax

and LGC with Sacre and Stefan.

We practiced a lot before the Greek league and luckily we won the championship.

After that we played season 2 of Fortuna Championship Series

Which we also won even though it was a very close finals

We weren't expecting ASUS to play on that level

and we kind of

How do I put it...

Let ourselves down because we thought we were much better and it would be an easy 3-0.

During that time we practiced extensively.

But we just underestimated them.

In season 3 we played as SBB with a different roster

Yoppa was top

and Sacre was ADC which some would find strange.

The rest of the roster stayed the same.

We weren't expecting to win.

because we had 0 scrims and the team was put together just to play in the finals

because Nikola had to go to France

to play for Millenium.

We basically played just to play

to put up a fight

even though we felt like ASUS was a much better team.

We somehow managed to win at the end.

By winning season 3 of Fortuna we won the trip to Korea to represent Serbia

on the IESF World Championship.

Like we did in 2015 and 2016.

But unfortunately I won't be able to go

because I have a professional contract

and this tournament is amateurs only.

I wish all the best to my team, and of course, I hope they win the whole thing this time.

At the begging of season 7

I started taking my career a bit more seriously.

And I made an impression on some teams because I preformed well in scrims and in SoloQ.

So I joined Ago from Poland.

With whom I had played in the Challenger Series closed qualifier.

And of course many teams, or more precisely coaches follow the Challenger Series.

So I got an invite to play in the Russian Challenger Series.

The offer was more than enough so I accepted it.

I expect us to win and to qualify for the Russian LCL (LoL Continental League).

But we have a long way to go.

10 Colon Cancer Symptoms and The Causes - Duration: 12:05.

Hi, I'm Anisa. on this occasion i will talk about. Hope you enjoy it.

hope you enjoy it

10 Warning Signs of Colon Cancer You Shouldn't Ignore

According to the American Cancer Society, 1 in 20 people are at a risk of developing colorectal cancer during their lifetime.

The exact cause of colorectal or bowel cancer is not known.

However, it is believed to develop when healthy cells become abnormal and start growing in number and accumulate in the lining of the colon,

forming polyps. Left untreated, polyps may become cancerous.

As it can be difficult to treat colon cancer after it spreads to nearby areas, it is important to know what the early symptoms are.

This can help you seek early treatment and give you a better chance in recovery.

Here are the top 10 warning signs of colon cancer you shouldn't ignore.

1. Constipation

Constipation is an important sign of cancer in the colon. A 2011 study published in the Asian Pacific

Journal of Cancer Prevention highlights the link between constipation and colorectal cancer risk.

An earlier 2004 study published in the European Journal of Cancer supported the hypothesis

that constipation or laxative use increases the risk of colon cancer.

A tumor present at the far end of the colon can make it very difficult to eliminate waste products, thereby causing constipation.

If you persistently have fewer bowel movements per week, without any prior problem of constipation,

consult your doctor to find out the exact cause.

2. Diarrhea. If you suffer from diarrhea for more than a couple of weeks, it may be an early symptom of colon cancer.

When a tumor partially obstructs the bowel, it can cause alternating constipation and diarrhea due to leakage of liquid stool.

You may also experience frequent gas, abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting.

Plus, a tumor may irritate or narrow the lining of the intestine.

It is important to consult your doctor when you have diarrhea that lasts more than a few days, as it can lead to dehydration,

drain your body of nutrients and signal other serious problems, such as cancer.

3. Blood in Stools. Most often, blood in the stool is due to piles (hemorrhoids),

where the veins in the back passage become fragile and cause a little bleeding during a bowel movement.

This type of bleeding is generally red.

However, if you notice dark red or black blood in your stool, it can be a sign of cancer,

such as bowel, rectal or colon cancer. It can also be due to a stomach ulcer.

Whether bleeding is due to piles, a stomach ulcer or cancer, it's important to get it checked by a doctor.

Proper diagnosis is essential for appropriate treatment.

4. Constant Feeling of a Bowel Movement

If you have a constant feeling of urgently needing to have a bowel movement or to strain but no stool is passed,

it is not a good sign. This feeling can occur even after having a bowel movement.

Changes in your pattern of bowel movements can be a sign of colon cancer.

It can occur when a tumor blocks the bowel and prevents you from completely emptying your bowels.

If you persistently have the sensation of incomplete evacuation after a bowel movement, discuss the problem with your doctor.

5. Narrow Stools. Thin, narrow stools are also a warning of possible colon cancer.

A tumor present in the left side of the colon obstructs the passageway and often leads to narrow stools.

Do not delay discussing any change in your stools with your doctor.

Diverticulitis and anal cancer can also cause narrowing of the stools.

3 Essential Hair Fall Treatments - How To Make Your Hair Grow Faster At Home - Duration: 5:12.

Has hair fall become a permanent part of your life?

Dont worry as you are not alone!

This has become a common problem for many people around the world.

It may be hereditary or caused due to a lifestyle habit.

But despite the reasons, it is a serious problem and should be addressed carefully.

Today's video will discuss Essential Hair Fall Treatments.

Hair loss does not lead to any health problem but it does make one very conscious about

her look.

If you have started experiencing hair fall recently, then here are some ways to lessen

it.

What are the Causes of hair loss?

1.

There are many causes for alopecia or hair loss.Allergies, toxins, chemicals, burns,

injuries and infections.

2.

Also some medications like anabolic steroids can cause hair loss like those used in kidney

failure, chemotherapy and radiation.

3.Even vitamin overdose may lead to hair fall, iron deficiency, anemia, thyroid, fever or

pregnancy can cause hair loss.

4.

Hair Fall can also result when one indulges in too much bleaching, dyeing, tight braiding,

blow drying or using hot curlers.

Types of Hair Fall Treatment:

There are many types of hair fall as well as alopecia.

Each type can be cured with the usage of different types of medications.

These may be homemade remedies, Ayurvedic, homeopathy, allopathic, naturopathy as well

as products from the market.

1.

Homeopathy for Hair Loss Treatment:

Homeopathy is a popular medicinal practice widely used to control and address hair fall

problems.

It has been accepted as a safe way to stop or at least control hair fall.

There are around 45 million men and 20 million women who have been affected by hair fall

problems.

Also they report that there has been an increase in hair loss cases by 250 per cent in the

last five years.

Even those in the age group of 16-25 have been affected.

Homeopathy is used to treat the hair fall from the roots so that it is highly effective.

2.

Naturopathy Treatment for Hair Loss:

Nature is a very potent source for nutrition.

From the very first stage of life, we depend on nature for many things which are a necessity

to survive.

The most basic treatment as prescribed by naturopathy is vitamin supplements.

Nutrients like vitamin B and iron help in hair growth.

Also grape seed oil is a great way to treat hair fall.

Some herbs are also seen as a great way to stimulate blood flow in the scalp.

These are ginkgo biloba and bilberry extracts.

Also it has been found that saw palmetto is a great for hair loss.

Using a blend of rosemary oil and olive oil is also good for hair.

This is one of the best treatment for hair loss ever to be followed.

It takes some time to produce results but the effects are certainly more permanent than

any other form of hair loss treatment.

3.

Common Treatments for Hair Fall:

1) Anthralin (dritho- scalp) :

This is an ointment to help control hairfall.

It is applied to the scalp and then washed off after a certain amount of time.

The application has to be done daily to see best results.

This cream may take 6 to 12 months to show any significant results.

2) Aminomar C (viviscal):

Viviscal has patented this marine complex which is said to nourish hair follicle from

within.

Using aminomar c with supplements for 4-6 months has shown hair to become stronger and

more vibrant.

The treatment has also has shown significant signs of hair growth too.

But there has been no proof as to how this works.

3) Corticosteroids: This is a treatment for alopecia areata.

The corticosteroid is injected into the scalp to stop hairfall.

This method works quickly although if there is rapid hair loss.

oral pills are also prescribed to tackle the hair loss.

The results may take up to a month to be seen.

4) Hormonal Modulators:

Female pattern hair loss which may be the result of excessive malehormone secretion

can be controlled with the use of oral contraceptives or antiandrogens.

These help to reduce hair loss associated with hyperandrogenemia.

Which treatment do you like for your hair ? Let me know in or comment section below.

I'm on a highway full of red lights I lost so many long nights

Felt words that cut like knives I know I know they're gonna

Say what they wanna I know they're gonna

Say what they want (want want)

But I feel it changing I can taste it, I'm on the wave and

I won't waste it I have been patient

But I'm not waiting anymore Not anymore, no

I'm gonna dance on broken glass On broken glass

And I'm gonna make that ceiling crash That ceiling crash

So what?

Still got knives in my back So what?

So I'm tied to the tracks I'm gonna dance on broken glass

And here I go, here I go (Oh, oh, oh) Yeah here I go, here I go

(Oh, oh, oh) Yeah here I go, here I go

So I bet on me and my own heartbeat When all the odds are piling

Like bricks around my feet You know you know it's more than

More than just for me You know it's worth it

I still believe, yeah yeah

I'm gonna dance on broken glass On broken glass

And I'm gonna make that ceiling crash (uh) That ceiling crash

How To Get A Perfect Skin: Tips I've Got From Koreans (ENG SUB) - Duration: 10:24.

Hey everyone! I want my first video to be about korean skincare.

why do i wanna do this?

Have you seen the skin of most of korean people?

it's so smooth, pimple-less and pore-less

and what if i'll tell you that with the right irritation

(which im not doing)

you can also have such flawless skin!

in the last few years i've done my research and tried to find out what's their secret

and today i'm going to tell you few of the tips i've found!

the first thing is the 10-steps routine which you should do every night.

This routine includes the first step, which is removing your makeup.

You have to remove ALL your makeup

First, using a makeup remover

and then wipe your face using makeup-remover wipes.

the second step is also very very important

it's the face cleansing

just for being sure that there is no piece of dirt or makeup on your face

you take a facial soup, rub it on your face

and wash it out

the third step is the exfoliating, and it is not reccomended to do more than 3 times a week

now, the exfoliator can be a soft one which you can do 4-5 times a week

or one really deep-cleansing which you should do less than 3-2 times a week.

whatever you choose, i personally preffer the deep cleansing one.

and this is really to make sure that your skin grows up as a new and clean skin, and clean pores

no dead skin,

just fresh.

the next step is the toner.

the toner is in charge of balancing the acidity(?) in your skin

and prepare the skin for the other products we gonna use.

the most reccomended and popular toner in korea

and the one which i had a great experience with

is this toner of etude house

from wonder pore collection

which is really really good, it closes the pores and cleaning the skin

and refreshing the skin, you can use it as a refresher as well

like, if youre hot and you feel dirty from sweating you can put some on a cotton pad and rub it over your face

and youre good as new ;)

the next step is the essence

essence is basically preparing your skin and......

preparing your skin for a better absorption of the next products

this is the essence that i use which is also very popular in korea

it's also from the wonder pore collection of etude house

it's really really good,

and at those times i used skincare a lot

it really really helped me and healed my pimples

amazing.

the next step which is also the favorite of every skin care lover i've ever met

is the sheet mask!

as you can see, i have a LOT of masks

but the one i reccomend the most

is this mask of tony moly from the i'm real collection, the pore care one

just because it closes the pores and smoothen the skin, and in the morning your skin will look flawless

like a baby's!!!

it's important to note that

after you put off the mask

please absorb the lefties into your skin in circular motions

and massage your face

the massage is really important for the muscles and blood

and it really really helps the skin

the next step is the serum

a serum treats a specific problem you have in your skin

redness, dry skin, akne, etc

i personally have no serum since i have no specific problem

so i won't show you what i have, because i don't have

and after the serum you should put on an eye cream

an eye cream is not only for old people

there are eye creams that brighten up your under-eye area

and will make you look less tired in the morning

and also streching that area so you wont have eye bags

this is the eye cream that i use

it is also very very popular in korea, i bought it because i heared so much good things about this product

it is from the moistfull collagen collection of etude house

(yeah i use a lot of etude house's products)

and it's really really helpful and beautiful

the last step is the moisturizer

now, for moisturizer it is reccomended to buy two types

a morning cream, and a night cream

i bought both of the types, the morning cream and the night cream

the morning cream you just put in the morning after you wash your face (very important to wash your face)

and the night cream you put on as the last step of the 10 steps routine

it's important to me to say that those creams are really really good,

they give such flawless shine to your skin and makes it so smooth and poreless

and really helps your skin look much more beautiful

now, except for those 10 steps,

it is really important to eat right

which the diet is based basically on fruits and vegetables

i personally don't love fruits and vegetables, that's why my skin is kinda bad

and drink a LOT of water!

it's so important!

not only for the skin, but also for your health

i drink 3L of water DAILY

thanks god i'm healthy

another secret that basically

it is really important and NO ONE talks about it

is removing facial hair

facial hair, especially those that grows here usually makes the skin look dirtier and darker

so it's important to remove this hair

it will bring light to your face and make it look much more beautiful

(i sound like my mom lol)

and makes the skin smoother

try it once and see

how much it improves the situation

and update me!

yes, it hurts, really hurts

but it worths it.

also very important that when you put on primer or foundation,

pay attention and check if there's talc or sillicon

it is filling the pores and will bring you pimples

and will give you black heads

and it's really terrible

yeah i broke my nails, yay

so try to avoide this such of products

and if there's no choice

than try to remove it the best you can at the end of the day

with exfoliation and everything. bleach it idk lol

and for the most important thing.

continuity.

it won't help if you will do skincare for two days or for a week

and than you will stop it

it just won't help.

if you really wanna see an improvement and achive good results

than persist. you have to persist.

okay?

i can tell about myself that for a month i did skincare every night

i did the 10 steps routine

and ate a lot of vegetables and fruits, drank a lot of water

i haven't done any makeup!

and my skin was just like...

like a doll's.

and then i left it all

and returned to my normal skin, which i'm really sorry about

and i really really want to come back to this

and, you know what?

a challenge: i will come back to the skincare routine.

i also forgot to say that it is summer now.

and when you go out to the sun

the sun is really harmful for your skin

and...

if you really wanna take care of your skin

put on sun protector. i know that it sounds nerdy and not israeli

but...

put on sun protector!!!

it is so important, and it will protect you

you can even re-put your sun protector every few hours

it really worth it.

i really don't know any korean that goes out in the summer without putting on sun protection.

and it is one of their biggest secrets, they just won't let the sun harm their skin from young age

another thing that is important to say

make sure that you use products that suits your skintype

pay attention to what is your skin color (wait, what skin color)

(what, i'll film the video from the begining because of this? well, no)

pay attention to what is your skin TYPE

dried, oily, normal

pay attention to this and choose the products that suits you

because it is really important

now, something that i wanna reccomend for girls with oily and sensitive skin like mine

is this soap of swanicoco

it is called snail care skin toner

it is really really REALLY good

i had it until like... two years ago?

and it's empty, and i have no idea where to buy it

i will try to search and if i'll find i'll put the link down below (done! found it)

it is really amazing, i'm a fan. it leaves the skin just...

clean and fresh.

no sensitivity, just amazing.

the problem is that it's made of snails lol

so if you have no problem with it than buy it,

it really worth it.

and that's it basically!

if you have any more requests or questions

write it in the comment section, i'll be more than glad to answer

and if you liked the video

please hit the like button and subscribe to my channel!

i promise that there will be a lot of videos like this

you can even request any kind of video in the comments

and that's it!

you can follow me on snapchat and instagram

3 No-Bake Rice Krispies Treats: Snicker's, S'mores & Funfetti (Back to School Snacks) - Duration: 10:49.

Hi Bold Bakers!

Back to school time does not have to be that bad.

Today I have three Rice Krispies treats for you, they are all different flavors, and best

of all, they are no-bake.

They make the perfect after-school treat to look forward to, so let's get started.

So before we get started, I just wanted to check with everybody that you all know about

YouTube's community feature.

Now over here I post pictures from behind the scenes, sneak peeks of upcoming episodes,

and I even get to ask you guys questions.

It's really, really fun, it's kinda like YouTube's version of social media.

So what you want to do is subscribe to my channel, which I'm sure you already are, and

have seen all of my videos, and then tap that bell, because that's what will notify you

when I post on YouTube community, so you get to be part of the conversation too.

Okay, now that's out of the way, let's kick this all off with a snickers Rice Krispies

treat.

So in a large bowl we're going to add some butter, and loads of marshmallows.

Now you can use vegan butter and you can use vegan marshmallows also if you are a vegan,

so that will work really well too.

Now what we want to do is pop this into the microwave for two minutes for the butter and

marshmallows to melt.

So you'll notice when you take marshmallows out of the microwave they puff up really big,

it's kind of cool.

You can also do this in a pot over the stove, over low heat, and that will work really well

too.

So what to do is give this mix a bit of a mix around, just to make sure it's all combined

and then we're going to add in our next ingredient.

Okay this is looking good, let's face it, who does not like melted marshmallows?

Now our next secret ingredient, which probably is not so secret, are Rice Krispies.

Now feel free to use any kind of cereal that you have at home, they will work really well.

I just like Rice Krispies because they're small and they get coated totally in marshmallows.

So in you guys go.

It might look like a lot of Rice Krispies, it is a lot, you need them.

Then once they are all in there, go in with your spatula, and give it a really good stir

around, and coat all the cereal in marshmallow goodness.

So Rice Krispies treats remind me of when we used to come to Florida as kids, and as

a family.

We used to go to Disneyworld, used to go to all the centers, like Epcot center, Universal,

all that sort of stuff, but I remember it was the first time I ever had a Rice Krispie

treat that they sold in the stores, and I absolutely loved them.

I remember wondering like what is in this?

It's butter, marshmallow and Rice Krispies.

Okay, this is all mixed up, it's really sticky, now we're gonna press it into our

tray and start building our other layers.

So here I have a baking tray, it's 7" by 11" you can also use something a little

bit smaller and that will work really well.

I like to get my Rice Krispies treats really thick, so I might not actually use the whole

tray.

So when your mix is still soft and squishy, I can actually hear it popping, snack crackle

and pop, like it says on the box, go ahead and scoop it into your tray.

Now if you're thinking to yourself this looks like a regular Rice Krispies treat and where's

the Snickers, stay tuned, because that bit's coming next.

And then just take a spatula, and flatten it out as best you can.

So you guys know I love no-bake treats, and I know you do too, that's why I wanted to

do something like this, I think you're really going to enjoy these, and they're so easy

to make.

The recipe can be found on BiggerBolderBaking.com so head over there for the measurements.

Now I am gonna set my Rice Krispies over to the side, and bring in my bowl of caramel.

Now this is gonna be our next layer.

So into here I am going to add in a little bit of milk, and then what I'm gonna do is

pop these into the microwave and let them completely melt.

Now if you don't have a microwave, you can also melt these in a pot, that will be fine

too.

So it's been two minutes and my caramels are melted.

Check that out.

So now I'm gonna bring back in my Rice Krispies treats, and I've got my caramel, you might

want to wait until it's a little bit cooled down and then just go ahead and pour it over

your Rice Krispies.

A nice, big layer.

You're starting to see where this is going, you've got caramel, we're gonna have nuts,

chocolate, just like a snickers.

Feel free to spread your caramel or with a spatula, just so you get a nice even layer.

Okay, lovely.

Next up, toasted peanuts.

So the peanuts that I like to use are salted and roasted because you get that little bit

of extra flavor, it works really well with the caramel, with the chocolate, absolutely

delicious.

So go ahead and scatter them all over the top and do not be shy with these, a nice thick,

generous layer is what you want to do with these guys.

All over, until it covers the top.

Now what I like to do to make sure that it's all even is just go in with my hand, and press

down the nuts into the caramel, just so it's a nice and even surface.

Okay, great.

This is already starting to set.

They firm up really fast.

So now don't worry, I haven't forgotten about our chocolate layer.

Here I have a big bowl of melted milk chocolate, I'm just gonna go ahead and pour that all

over the top.

Also make sure that your chocolate isn't too hot when you're pouring it over so it doesn't

slide around everywhere.

You cannot have a Snickers without chocolate.

Okay, great, and if you want, take your spatula, and just even it all out.

There is nothing about this that's not gonna be delicious.

Marshmallows, caramel, peanuts, yummy.

Okay so now because this has a chocolate layer we need it to set, so you can actually leave

it out at room temperature or you can pop it into the fridge and we're gonna let it

set up for around an hour and a half.

Just make sure the chocolate gets nice and cold.

My Snickers Rice Krispies treat is all set so it's ready to be cut.

So with a nice, warm knife, go ahead and cut nice big squares.

I say big because I like everything big, you can do whatever you want.

And then look at that, you see the caramel layer and the nuts and the chocolate on top,

these are gonna be just like a Snickers.

So now if you're looking for more no-bake recipes just like this one, make sure you

check out my no-bake granola bars, they're great for school as well and they're really

easy to make.

Yummy.

This is so good.

The reason it tastes like a Snickers is because the marshmallow is kind of like the nougat

of a Snickers and then you've got caramel and the peanuts, and a big layer of chocolate,

I tell you, if you make these, you're gonna be running home after school to have these,

yummy.

I promise you they're all gonna be as good as this one so let's move on to our next

one.

With our next flavor, the name says it all.

It is a Funfetti Rice Krispies treat.

Now just like the last one, in a large bowl we're going to add in some butter, and marshmallows,

and then just pop these into the microwave until they're fully melted.

Then just take a spatula and stir together your butter and marshmallows.

Okay, now this is our base, now we're going to build on top of this.

Here I have some white chocolate chips which I absolutely love, and Funfetti always reminds

me of the flavor of white chocolate, I don't know why but it does.

So I'm gonna toss those in.

there.

Next we're gonna add in our Rice Krispies, because you can't have Rice Krispies treats

without Rice Krispies.

So now here is my secret ingredient, Fruity Pebbles, this is what is going to make it

really looks like Funfetti.

Now if you do not have Fruity Pebbles in your country, do not worry.

You can just replace them with Rice Krispies, you can also throw a few sprinkles in there

as well to make up for them.

And then with your spatula go ahead and mix it all together.

When you're mixing, take care not to crush your cereal too much, because you want it

to stay intact.

Okay, perfect.

This looks great, it smells amazing, now we're gonna press it into our tin.

Scoop your Rice Krispies treat into your tin.

I like how it all falls out in one big lump, makes it less messy.

And then with your spatula, go ahead and use like the other one, flatten it out on top.

Okay, so these have taken good shape, now here I have some more chocolate chips, and

I'm just going to scatter them on top, just for a bit of extra crunch and flavor.

Okay, so we got nice, even coverage there, of white chocolate chips, give them a little

bit of a press down with your hand, so they stay in place, great.

Now I'm gonna set this aside for around an hour and just let it set up.

I'm very well aware that these treats look the exact same warm as they do cold, but I

still think it looks fantastic.

When it's nice and set, with my knife, I'm going to go ahead and cut this one up too.

It does help when you have a warm knife because it kind of cuts through the marshmallow because

it can be a bit sticky.

Lovely.

And like I said, cut any size that you like, there is no judgment here.

Now I have to taste this guy as well, just to make sure that he's okay for you guys.

Oh, do you see how gooey that is?

There's so much marshmallow.

Oh, my gosh, this tastes so good.

The white chocolate in it, make sure you don't skip that step.

Definitely add white chocolate into these.

Oh, my gosh.

This just keeps on getting better and better.

Okay, now onto our next treat.

So as usual I always try to save the best for last, so here is a S'mores Rice Krispies

treat.

So now just like before, I have my butter in a bowl, and my marshmallows, I melted them

and then I've mixed them all together.

Into this, I'm going to add in some Rice Krispies.

So what makes a S'more a S'more?

Well, then next thing we're going to add is chocolate, because you cannot have a S'more

without chunks of chocolate.

The nice thing about this, because the marshmallow's warm, it starts to melt the chocolate a little

bit and you get these kind of streaks all the way around, it's really lovely.

So now another component in a S'more is marshmallows.

Now I know we already have marshmallows in here but I'm gonna throw in a few extra, just

because I can.

So now a S'more is made with graham crackers, which we allow and love, but I've got the

second best thing here, Golden Grahams.

This is a cereal that you buy that tastes just like graham crackers.

Now don't worry if you don't have it, you can always leave it out and maybe add in a

little bit of cinnamon into your Rice Krispies, just go ahead and toss all of those in there.

I have to say, this is probably one of my most favorite cereals.

So now all of our delicious ingredients are in there, now you just wanna mix it up really

well together.

Just look at that chocolate melting, yum.

Just added extra flavor and yumminess.

Once your mix is all combined, then scoop it into your prepared tray.

Once your Rice Krispies treat is spread out in the tray nice and evenly, I'm gonna go

over the top and add on a few more marshmallows, and a handful of Golden Grahams.

Look at that, gorgeous.

And then just like with the other ones, flatten them down so those ingredients stick on the

top.

Gorgeous, this looks fantastic.

So I don't think we could possibly add any more to this Rice Krispies treat, so I'm gonna

set it aside and let it firm up.

So now the s'more Rice Krispies treat sets up really fast because you have the melted

chocolate in there and it hardens, so this is even quicker than the other ones.

Go ahead and take it out of your tin, and cut up your portions.

So once you've made your Rice Krispies treats you can store them at room temperature in

an airtight container for like up to 4-5 days.

They last a long time, and they stay totally fresh, so then you've got a good snack to

go to.

Now my favorite part of the job, I have made a lot of s'more desserts on Bigger Bolder

Baking, and I have to say I think this might be my favorite one.

So yummy, and then the toasted cereal in there, yum, yum, yum, yum.

Just goes to show you, you can enjoy s'mores so many ways.

If you have a little bit of extra time after school and are looking for something fun to

make, I definitely recommend my no-bake Rice Krispies treats, I know you're going to love

them.

Thank you so much for watching, don't forget to tap that subscribe button and I will see

you back here really soon, for more Bigger Bolder Baking.

Oh, it smells actually really good.

What Makes Someone a Night Owl? - Duration: 5:18.

It's so bright.

How do people get up this early?

It's 11am.

I've always been a night owl… so do you prefer to stay-up late and then sleep-in?

Or do you go to bed and get up early?

Or maybe you're somewhere in between.

This is called your "chronotype" and for a long time scientists have wondered why we

see such a variation between people, and what sort of effects it has on your health.

Luckily we're waking up to some answers!

For starters, the moment you feel like you should go to bed appears to be influenced

by your genetics, and this wasn't discovered by a university or traditional research institute!

It's the work of the personal genetic analysis company Twenty-three and me –

quick footnote, you've met 23&me in a previous episode where you discovered that I'm very

white.

They sponsored that episode, though they're not sponsoring this one.

They looked at DNA from over 100,000 people who sent in spit samples and answered surveys.

One survey question asks participants if they're naturally a morning or night person.

By comparing the DNA of night owls, to the DNA of morning people, the company found fifteen

genetic variants linked to chronotype.

And these differences aren't just hanging out in random places in the genome.

About half of these genetic variants were near genes linked to your body's internal

clock, it's circadian rhythm.

Others were near genes involved in sensing light.

This makes sense when you're talking about natural sleep cycles, and it means that whether

you prefer to stay up late, or get on early start, you were probably born with that tendency.

It's in your DNA.

But this is a point where I grew skeptical, because both my Mum and Dad get up super early.

I can't blame them… for this.

Beyond your genes, other aspects of your biology and physiology are also related to your chronotype.

For example, people tend to wake-up earlier as they get older and, generally, women are

more likely to be morning people than men.

But there's more to it than that.

One study looked at the brains of night owls versus morning people and found that people

who prefer to stay up late have lower levels of white matter stability in certain areas

of the brain.

White matter is made of the parts of brain cells that are covered in fatty myelin sheaths.

The myelin allows signals to be sent quickly from one brain region to another, and gives

white matter its colour.

The study found differences between night owls and early risers that imply a form of

chronic social jet lag for people who naturally stay up later.

And if you look at personality and behavioural differences between morning and evening people,

this makes sense.

Sometimes I feel like I'm always jet lagged.

Now I can call it, chronic social jet lag.

Morning people tend to be more cooperative, agreeable, conscientious, and proactive.

They're also just happier on average.

Night owls, on the other hand, have a higher risk for depression.

They eat more than morning people, and the type of food they eat is less healthy.

They're more likely to abuse nicotine and alcohol, and they're at higher risk for

things like sleep apnea.

Cool.

Luckily, there are also perks.

An average, night owls are smarter, and they have more intercouse.

More interpersonal relations.

Both groups show the highest aptitude for problem solving when they're naturally most

awake, and the highest levels of creativity during their less alert hours, whenever that

may be.

Here's another footnote, if you would like to watch this video and figure out when that

is for you.

Overall, whether you wake up and go to bed early, or late, neither is going to make you

healthier, wealthier, or wiser.

Sorry Ben Franklin.

Finally, because evolutionary biology just has it's own way of explaining everything,

one theory says variations in sleeping patterns may exist to make it more likely that someone

will be awake and "on watch" in case there's a predator or other emergency.

Since my dog and I both sleep until 10am, this is really not that relevant in my home.

We're both just sitting ducks.

So I'm interested to know if you're a night owl or a morning person, and how that's

changed over the course of

your life.

Bullet Journal: Flower shaped Monthly Log - Duration: 5:42.

Hi there! In this tutorial, I'm going to show you

how to draw this super cute flower shaped Calendex

using this awesome tool: the Circlet by KUM.

This tool is great because it is a compass,

a protractor, ruler, and many more tools in one!

This point here will punch through the paper

so it can be used like a compass. And these tiny holes

let you use a pen or pencil to draw circles and lines

I just love it!

So... let's get to it!

These are the tools I used:

10 cm (4 in) Circlet

a mechanical pencil

washi tape and a fine point marker

I don't want to punch through the paper when tracing circles so I'll use a small piece of washi tape like so...

Since (most) washi tapes have a smooth

wax-like texture it will even help the protractor slide easier

Now we are ready to use the Circlet and we'll only punch through the washi tape instead of the paper

Give it a small push, and you're ready to go!

I'll trace the first cirle

It is marked with a 1

super easy

now, circle marked as 3

Don't worry about tracing evenly, you will ink over the guides.

Trace circle marked with a 5

Ta-da!

Now... (time for some math)

380... wait...

360! not 380, duh!

360 degrees (that make up a circle)

divided by 30 (days in September)...

12... So every 12 degrees that will be a day...

I'll trace a vertical line and then use the protractor feature...

...rotating the Circlet until I line up the vertical line to 12º and then I'll trace a line.

I'll repeat that step until I end up with 30 slices, one per day.

Let's move along to the inking process

I'm going to use the Circlet again, I changed my mind...

I'll ink using the Circlet again to make my life easer, hee, hee...

Remove the washi tape

Start drawing petals from the center and out

...one petal per day

following the traced guides

It's ok if it's not perfect.

we're going for that hand sketched look

Once done with that go ahead and trace the second layer of petals. One per day again

And again, don't worry about perfection. Just follow the guides as much as you can

we are going for the sketched look.

Erase the penciled lines...

Moving on to numbering each petal

One per day from 1-30

To make this a true Calendex

we must add the day of the week too

September starts on a Friday so...

I'll write one letter per day next to the number

So M... T... W... T... F... Sa... Su... and so on

Repeatedly until you fill up every day

I double traced between Sunday and Monday petals

to mark every start/end of the week...

... but I noticed it wasn't that obvious so I ended up adding a leaf too

I did like how it looked!

Add some shading and details...

just to add texture

Maybe the detailing inside the petals

will help you line up when writing in the petals

I added a single line per inside petal...

two per outside petal

add the month's title...

September, in this case

And let me show you how I would use this...

Inside petals are for all-day events

...such as birthdays or payment days.

Another example would be Rent due date

...a project due date

Yes, you'll have to either write super small or use a finer tip

*shrug*

Bigger petals are for scheduled appointments such as

a doctors appointment... or a manicure at 4 *shrug again*

Another cool feature is you could also use this

as a mood tracker by filling each petal in a different color

or just use a color code for different things you'd like to track

If you draw your own flower Calendex please share it!

I'm on Facebook and Instagram as @carolitarocreative

I hope you liked this tutorial!

Don't forget to give it a thumbs up and suscribe! Bye!
