Youtube daily report w Aug 1 2017

This shelf especially has some of our older items, almost all of which I

collected myself because the company had not saved any of this early material.

In this case we always had as as Walt Disney's history. Some drawings that he

did when he was in high school. The Carolwood Pacific was his his train

that he had in his backyard. It's one of the things that gave him the

idea for Disneyland.

Walt Disney decided in 1954 could go onto television.

Walt Disney: Now we want you to share with us our latest and greatest dream. That's it right here, Disneyland.

Here was this park that Walt was building and he was so excited about it and you

could just feel his excitement. And I was perched on the edge of my chair watching

I want to go, I want to go, I want to go. You can't express in words the excitement of

walking under the train station there and walking into Main Street for the

first time and seeing the castle down at the end of the street. That meant a lot

to me. One of those early trips I actually did meet Walt Disney in the

park. Here's my chance to get Walt Disney's autograph. I thought I don't

have any writing implements so I went into the first shop and it was a magic

shop. All they had was a two-foot long pencil that wrote in multi colors.

Asked if I could get his autograph and he politely declined. He said that when he

started signing autographs he got this huge crowd around him and he was never

able to get his work done so he told me to write him at the studio and he'd be

glad to send me his autograph. So I did and he sent it to me, I still have it today.

I was very honored when they asked me to be a Disney Legend. I never felt at

all that I would be an entertainment industry. I mean I wasn't an actor,

I didn't make movies, that just didn't occur to me.

But when I met Walt, that's when it started for me.

Discussion: What Are Your Favorite Books? - Duration: 4:13.

Hi community of awesome, I'm Ava Jae, and is bookishpixie.

So a little while ago I did a discussion vlog and that was really popular, so lets do another

one, this time on your favorite books from different genres.

I'm personally sticking with YA because that's what I read the most widely, so yeah.

First up, my favorite YA Fantasy: SIX OF CROWS by Leigh Bardugo.

I like SIX OF CROWS for a bunch of reasons, firstly it expanded on a world that I already

loved from the Grisha trilogy starting with SHADOW AND BONE, secondly I love that it featured

so many marginalized characters, um, and I especially loved that one of the protagonists

is disabled cuz you don't really see a whole lot of disabled protagonists in YA, and what

I loved about that was that Kaz, who is the disabled protagonist, gets to be disabled

and a badass at the same time, and you, like, barely ever ever see that.

So that was super, super awesome, I'm really happy about that, plus I just love Leigh's

writing and the worlds that she builds, and the whole thing was super, intense, and exciting,

and I really had no complaints about SIX OF CROWS and CROOKED KINGDOM, which is the second

book, because it's a duology, was also really good.

So definitely recommended if you like fantasy.

Favorite YA Sci-Fi: ACROSS THE UNIVERSE by Beth Revis.

ACROSS THE UNIVERSE is really special to me because it's the first YA Sci-Fi I ever read

and it's the book that made me realize I actually like Sci-Fi in books.

And it also showed me that I actually like dual-POV, which, before that I couldn't really get into.

So I truly believe that if I had not read ACROSS THE UNIVERSE I would not have written BEYOND

THE RED so it is really special to me for that reason.

Personal reasons aside, ACROSS THE UNIVERSE is just a great book.

It's the first book of a trilogy that largely takes place in space, and the first book is

like a murder mystery/thriller but on a spaceship, and it is awesome.

My favorite YA Historical is THE GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE TO VICE AND VIRTUE by Mackenzie Lee.

I just recently read GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE and it immediately jumped onto my favorites list

because it is *so* good, oh my god.

Firstly, this book is just hilarious; it had me laughing so many times.

Plus I got really emotionally invested in the characters and this is coming from someone

who doesn't often read historical books, so if you, like me, don't frequently read historical,

I would still recommend it because it's just a fantastic book.

And this one is about a bisexual boy who goes on a Grand Tour of Europe with his very best

friend who he's been crushing on for a while, and with his sister, and there's also some

discussion of chronic illness which I really appreciated, and all in all it's just a really

fantastic book; I love it very much and I want everyone to read it.

My favorite YA Contemporary, and this was really hard to pick because there are so many

really fantastic and important YA Contemporaries out there, um, but I'm going to go with my

favorite, which I read many years ago but has still stuck with me, and that's FANGIRL by Rainbow Rowell.

What I really like about FANGIRL is it's the first book I read where I really resonated

with the way the protagonist's anxiety was portrayed.

Another thing that I liked about it was because it's about a(n) introverted, nerdy writer

who is very shy and has anxiety as I said, so obviously I connected to that.

What I also really liked about it is I ended up reading it at the perfect time in my life because I'd just started at a

new college and FANGIRL is largely about the protagonist starting at college for the first time and

being away from home from the first time and all the anxieties involved and I remember

there was something she was doing as an anxious person that I was doing, so it was just like

I read it at the perfect time and it stuck with me for that reason.

And lastly, my favorite YA Horror: BLEEDING EARTH by Kaitlin Ward.

I don't really read a whole lot of horror either, so there's that, but I really liked this one.

It's basically about the end of the world where the world ends by drowning in blood,

which is really disgusting but also really fascinating—it was a really interesting book.

It also features two queer girls, the protagonist and love interest, so that was pretty great too.

So what are your favorite books from different genres? Let me know in the comments below.

So that's what I've got for today!

If you liked what you saw, don't forget to subscribe and comment, and I'll see you guise next week!

Dad: Uhuuu! Wow, how generous they are!!

Corina: Good breakfast!

Some old fruits...

hot sandwich

is it made of foam?

Landing in Atlanta

Here we are... with mom, who hasn't showed up until now

Me, me!

Lia...

We were almost arrested on the customs...

because we had sandwiches

because of salami sandwiches

We didn't know we coudn't bring them

We didn't throw them away in the plane...

That's how it happened: Aunt Luiza made the sandwiches for us to take on the plane

and we couldn't eat everything

And we didn't throw them away in the plane

and the officer asked: do you have any food?

I said... well, I have salami sandwiches

we had to go through the Agriculture inspection

so they could discard them, because you can't even throw them in a regular trash can

I think they will incinerate it... I don't know.

I think that it will go to the police's belly

Because he said: this salami smells good

This is a good salami, isn't it?

Corina said: Yaaah, this is a good salami!

Now we are waiting for our connection flight

Mom is drinking a little coffee

small coffee

this is the small one

this is regular coffee

And Lia got the first junk food

But we'll be health and drink tea

No soda

And Elisa is still there

She looks like a pile of jackets

If you were passing by and saw that pile of things, don't be affraid...

It's Elisa of the mandolin

See if she wakes up with the Cheetos noise

No... she is really sleeping

We'll have a snack! See you soon!

Flying to Boston

I'm so sleepy!

Road manager!

David has them is his garden.

I'll show you

Let me find it. It's there!!

This is David's garden

Everything is on pots

to keep the rabbits away

This is cole robbie

This one is growing... This ball is what we slice and eat

So, I don't know what this is because a radish grows under the soil

This grows above it

But it is delicious

It's milder

So, cole robbie

This is another one

And how about you, in Brazil... have you seen this veggie? Do you know how to call it?

Leave it on the comments area.

How to Make a Pinhole Projector - Duration: 1:32.

I'm CaLisa from the Planetary Society. Today I'm going to show you a cool and

safe way that kids can observe a solar eclipse. All you need is a pushpin, two

paper cards, and a sunny place! We're going to make a pinhole projector. With a

pinhole projector, we can watch the shape of the Sun change during an eclipse

without having to look directly at the Sun. To make your projector, use your pin

to punch a small hole in the middle of one of the cards. That's it!

You're done! Now take your pinhole projector outside, but don't look at the

Sun. Instead look for your shadow. You want to see the shadow of your head and

shoulders clearly either on the ground or on a wall. Next, hold up the card with

a hole and rest it on your shoulder so you can see the shadow of the card next to

the shadow of your head. Now hold up the second card until its shadow overlaps the

shadow of the first card. Now look at the second card. You should see a small

circle on it. The circle is actually an image of a Sun! Your pinhole projector

has projected it right onto your second card. Right now, the image of the Sun on

your card is a circular shape, but during the solar eclipse you'll see a crescent.

Be sure to try this very inexpensive trick on August 21st during the solar

eclipse. To learn more about eclipses go to planetary.org/eclipse

#TravelDuo - Plan your next trip with us! (ENG SUB) - Duration: 1:57.

Hello everybody

Hi

We are Ruben & Elisa and TRAVEL DUO is our Youtube channel.

Travelling is our biggest passion

that's why we decided to open an ad hoc channel to share

tips, advices and information with other travellers all around the world.

Travel Duo is not a vlog channel, but a project that will help you planning your trip

by gathering useful information, timetables, prices, services, means of transport

scattered around the web and collected into a single channel.

In addition to the images and footage, we will also use the info box

to leave some useful links that we experienced firsthand.

We will take you with us during our explorations

(we usually walk because we like it)

we will taste typical beers and dishes

(vegetarian too)

and we will show you what it isn't usually written on blogs and tourist guides.

When we plan a trip, besides reading about the city or place on the various guides

we like to have a preview of what we are going to see.

This allows us to better organize our days

studying routes that won't be time wasting (going from one end of the city to another)

and that allows us to recognize the various points of interest once on the spot.

So we will leave you the pleasure of enjoying your holiday

and the place you are visiting according to your habits, rhythm and passions.

We will take care of that part behind the journey.

Subscribe to our channel to see all the videos we publish

please let us know if you think this project is interesting and useful

then share it with your friends!

So we're done for today and we wish you to

Have a great trip!

Little J And Big Cuz Big Plans - Duration: 12:01.

(SCHOOL BELL RINGS)

(PLAYGROUND CHATTER)

# Everywhere I go

# Everything I see

# The whole wide world is smiling at me

# Oh oh oh

# Everybody's singing now

# Ba ba ba-ba ba-ba... #

Oh!

# Ba ba ba-ba ba-ba-ba... #

Nanna!

# Ba ba ba-ba ba-ba-ba-ba. #

(OLD DOG PANTS) (ALL GIGGLE)

OLD DOG: Looky here. See what I found!

Now I just gotta get the little fella to play with me.

It's our very last three-legged race.

Remember what I said.

It's not about winning. it's all about good teamwork.

You ready, Monti? Ready, Big Cuz. We're going to win!

Little J, work as a team. We can win this race. OK?

Yeah, Sissy. We can win!

(BARKS) Sorry, Old Dog. Not now.

I've got a race to win. Hmm?

Ready, set...

..go!

SISSY: One, two. One, two. One, two.

One, two. One, two. Oops! One, two.

Whoops.

Agh! It's OK. Hold on tight, Monti.

Eight, six, three, nine...

What ya doing? Counting, like Sissy.

One, two... Go, Monti!

Let me count. Step in time.

One, two. One, two.

We're nearly there, Sissy! We're nearly there.

Yay!

(CHEERING)

You're the best, Sissy.

You're not too bad yourself, Little J.

(BELL RINGS)

You ready, Big Cuz? Yeah. Hang on Little J.

So, you're gonna come over tomorrow? Yeah. Right after breakfast, eh?

Sissy, you're coming over to my house?

Yep.

It's the weekend, so I get to spend all day with Big Cuz.

Cool!

We're all gonna have the best time.

Come on, Big Cuz. Let's go.

I've gotta get stuff ready.

Nanna, Sissy's coming over after breakfast tomorrow

and staying all day.

So, what you two gonna get up to?

Lots of stuff.

Drawing, singing, hanging out together.

Sounds like you and Sissy are gonna have a great day.

Hey, Old Dog! Look at my plan for tomorrow.

Sissy's gonna love this game, and Big Cuz.

(BARKS)

I'm way too busy to play with your ball, Old Dog.

All finished! Check it out.

See? It's a race.

But you gotta do different things along the way,

like run through the blanket, climb through the hoop.

Stuff like that. Sissy's gonna have so much fun playing my game.

(SNORES)

Hey! You're not even listening to me, Old Dog.

Big Cuz, Sissy's here!

Hey, Sissy! Hi, Sissy.

Hey, you two.

Sissy can't play with you, Old Dog.

She's gonna be way too busy. We got big plans.

Yeah, we have. Let's go to my room, Sissy.

(DOOR CLOSES) (OLD DOG GROANS)

(DOOR LOCK RATTLES)

Big Cuz! What?

It's my room too!

Not today, Little J.

It's us girls' room today.

We just wanna play big kids games, Little J.

But I made a deadly game for all of us kids to play.

(MUSIC PLAYS) Big Cuz?

Sissy? Big Cuz!

Nanna. What's up?

(SIGHS) It's not fair.

I worked really, really hard to make a cool game

but they just don't wanna play with me.

What game you make, Little J? It's one of them races.

You know, where you gotta run around

and do climbing and stuff on the way?

Oh. An obstacle course. Very clever.

So, you explain it to them?

I tried but they didn't want to listen.

Well, maybe you better go and try a little bit harder, eh?

I don't know, Nanna.

Now, that's our judges for our TV show.

What are we gonna use for a microphone?

And introducing the host of...

..uh...Sisters Only TV Talent Show...

..Sissy Missy! (LAUGHS)

(KNOCKS AT DOOR) LITTLE J: Big Cuz? Sissy?

I made this obstacle course game.

It's all set up outside.

Come and have a go. It's real good fun!

Mmm, wanna have a go, Big Cuz?

No! We're only just starting our talent quest.

I'm gonna sing my very best and win the prize.

Gee. I don't know, Big Cuz.

Those judges look pretty tough. (THEY LAUGH)

My big plan all for nothing.

They don't even want to play! (GROWLS)

Welcome to Sisters Only TV Talent Show.

We have a huge line-up of awesome talent for you tonight.

I know I'm real excited!

Judges, she nearly got voted off last week

but she's here to show you why she deserves to stay.

Welcome to the super talented Cuzzy Wuzzy!

(GIGGLES) Cuzzy Wuzzy?

(MUSIC STARTS)

# Oh, yeah, oh... #

Can I come in your TV show?

I can sing real good!

(MUSIC STOPS)

This is Sisters Only Talent Show, Little J.

Oh, come on!

I can be a judge or your audience. Gah!

Hurry up, Cuzzy Wuzzy.

The judges are getting real restless.

# Oh, yeah! #

(GROANS) How'd you go with the girls?

No good.

They won't even let me play their singing TV show game.

Why don't you just go and play your own game, Little J?

I don't know.

It won't be much fun.

You'll be having more fun than what you're having now.

I suppose.

I can make my game into a TV show too, eh, Nanna?

Of course you can.

What's that for?

Hi, I'm Brave J and welcome to my very own TV show,

Brave J's Amazing Outback Race.

Nanna! You could be my, you know, the fellas with the camera.

Your camerananna?

(GIGGLES) That's not what they call them.

Now, this outback race is only for real brave kids like me

'cause it's very, very dangerous.

This crocodile here can eat you in one bite

and this river is freezing cold!

Roooar!

Sissy, come on. Hurry up.

Our next act is Big Cuz. Again.

Roar!

Hey, Big Cuz. Let's go and play with Little J.

No way. I've gotta sing my next song for the judges and all my fans.

I reckon I'm gonna win.

# Yeah, I'm gone... #

Back in a minute.

Whoa!

The water in that river is really, really freezing.

Sissy! Can I play, Little J?

We have a brand new player!

But is she brave enough for Brave J's Outback Race?

(LAUGHS) You're funny, Little J.

It's Brave J, and shh!

Don't wake up this crocodile

'cause it's got big, huge teeth.

(SNORES)

I won't wake him.

That's a real scary crocodile.

Hmph.

Welcome to my brand-new TV show.

The Buzz with Big Cuz

and the buzz today is all about friends.

We're gonna ask our audience what makes a good friend?

(LAUGHTER OUTSIDE)

All Sissy needs to do now

is dive through the hole in the rocks and into the river below.

(SISSY LAUGHS)

Sissy's my best friend.

So, how come she's playing with Little J?

(SISSY LAUGHS)

She can be friends with both of you, eh?

Sissy! Hey, Sissy!

Are we gonna finish Sisters Only Talent Show or what?

Whoa! That river's freezing!

Hmph.

This is the most dangerous part of Brave J's Outback Race.

Sissy must pick up the ball

from in front of the real scary crocodile

and throw it into that rock tunnel.

But is she brave enough?

Yes! I did it!

This game is so much fun, Little J.

Oh, sorry. Brave J.

You did good, Brave J.

Big Cuz. Come and have a go!

You don't need me. You got Little J to play with.

Aw. Come on, Big Cuz. We do need you!

It is not much of a race if it's just me.

The next player on Brave J's Outback Race

is the fastest runner on Earth.

Big Cuz, welcome to my TV show!

So, where do I start?

You run fast past the bats and spiders in that dark cave,

then climb out through here.

That's not a cave. It's just a blanket.

Do you wanna play or not?

Yeah. OK.

Now, we'll see if she's brave enough

for Brave J's Outback Race.

Ready, set, go!

Go, Big Cuz! Go faster!

Big Cuz needs to run around the tree. This way!

Whoo-hoo! Yeah! She'll have to go faster

if she's gonna win this race

and take out the million dollar prize money.

Careful as you cross this bridge.

It's real high up in the sky.

Big Cuz must crawl under this next bridge here.

Dive through this hole in the rocks

and into the freezing cold water below.

Go, Big Cuz!

(GRUNTS)

(SNIFFS)

Now for the most dangerous part of the whole outback race.

Big Cuz has gotta pick up the ball

and throw it into the rock tunnel

without waking the big, scary crocodile.

Can she do it? (GRUNTS)

Ruff! Ruff! (GASPS)

(GASPS)

(LAUGHS)

(LAUGHTER)

Oh, no!

Big Cuz woke up the crocodile.

(LAUGHS)

That's the scariest crocodile, eh?

Ew. That's disgusting!

I'm not touching that.

I'm Brave J and I'm so brave,

I'm not even scared of disgusting, slimy dog spit.

(LAUGHTER)

Whew. I've had it being a scary crocodile.

(PANTS) It's a lot harder than it looks.

Who Do You Say That Jesus Is? - Just a Minute! - August 1, 2017 - Duration: 1:01.

Shortly into his ministry, Jesus pulled his disciples aside and asked them: "Who do you

say that I am?"

Peter stood and rightly answered, you are the Christ the Son of the living God.

Every Christian has answered this question exactly the same way.

It's the beginning point of our faith journey.

For most of us, we leave it right there.

But we shouldn't.

It's an important question to ask in daily living.

Because sometimes when life gets tough we live as if we don't know that Jesus is the

Christ, the Son of the living God.

We rely on our own strength and wisdom to get us through.

And it just doesn't work out to well.

So today, ask yourself, Who do I say that Jesus is?

The answer will help you experience peace in the midst of your circumstances.

you know we don't know if you're ever annoyed said alright with you know this

horses it's fiction you know you're going to have to be in the little things

open your imagination and you know we're all writing on some level things you

know already my people and emotions and life and then combined was writing what

you can imagine and what I mean right what you may think about the concept of

writing what you know for something profound people of charm positively cook

tonight I think they're going faces coming around sources

and that must be anything that when one makes typical extermination and I'm

trying to earn money of what that we might for as a child or safer vehicle

things really are making problems will display the information well when I

described that I don't start out by thinking like what's my from engine over

and I'm sorry the resources when I was a teacher and I said he really kind of

mine hugest human life is people matter ability check and physical aspect and

watching his friends and taken away IRA from MIT were intentionally got one

child one team what I was when taking happy and so those values by designing

Second Circuit which I actually start doing as well and but that the recoil is

normal that I never know for me like a lot of the gaps in not very at my

knowledge that in my personal experience I thought what I wanted to do that base

to other people who have experiences so the chapter on lgbtq+ in my work is

mostly written by people who are people reading live a fairly normal and chances

are plenty more out there on experience apology respect apps into spring you

know human taking experience with in the work out by a few pounds I joke

was something I've experienced something that I knew about visit my website of

seems about comfor years and historian citizen close-up so Rosetta me with many

years and tremendous day I don't I just thought the standard Clark Johnson was

imaginably my job the preconceived evocative and feel like and never

thought about me I had a lot of people afraid because me an essential factor

the little child that he acts out a lot through the failure Pacific to

expectation to be confident and sort of their only other penis devices that will

have so I just realized at the same time I've been to school in the teenager have

seen girls like Mia and that's enough you can write one what Miley like sense

of myself in her shoes maybe the cool girl in their classes of

all sources community but we going on for what I'd like to really and you know

it's going to be practiced they're super ticking I do do the homework with

closely content to school and be imposed against any even are you in the exact

wording of the agreement agreement any night narrating something it may be

something that you have a lot of purpose very inviting know if Phil fictional

characters you're so bringing that in a level imagination onto it and also

obviously everyone is different for example you know the trans person might

have absolutely an experience when you run out and you

one book to represent quite a lot of people i recently injury i watch the

credits on one something so i lost their free adult relationship and then in your

eyes but yet completely places I wanted to or not but I think that's really

important this is about early entities with couple

of my characters we acted rightly that's one of our major also frustration I do

you've work and I come across the young people the tiny and sometimes they

compile a mr. Trussell set up to compile in case about a problems at home and we

only spend what we need to be in a week would be very young people and it's a

frustration that you cannot kind of like sort of you have to realize because you

can talk all you like and do that abetted by it but at the end of each

evening they have to go home and place their their argument when T we fight the

other men he's specifically talking about changing imagining kind of people

away and for as rioters and he doesn't have an outcome and these are terrible

inferences or you Titans definitely you know this is reporting on has been

directly linked

insoluble material is around 70% types for example to sexuality there will need

the same pain constantly where they like I don't know I don't use my books I

write and then to the company and extremists and we as labeling female I

feel similar I'm not sure my imaginations really understood that

aspect I think I write until 6:00 I wanted when I was a teenager and I

wanted in happiness there just about like life importance in the mind

providers restore most teenagers penises around it really young and be shy I

heard himself like these freaks my way as people teenage life is like and I for

Miss alternative like what might really like to the deities I'll able to really

brighten those those books so much research units being experienced with

the Middle East tonight I guess I'm writing for my teenage self

I know you very well had the experience in your reading something in something

that is this portrayed something that you and I went winner if

your religion or your face or where you're from or anything where your job

is even like oh no like that that one's a rock we only went out like

kind of what that felt like or if you've seen anything you can like

if you felt kind of like a kinship and I'll say as a straight white woman from

America I don't want to read a book about blonde girl not oh yeah I need his

let's be real in a lot had to have let you know and at that

that seeking that I had that I opened to me when he and experience Ivan the same

part of even ancestry to enter the elder Harvey which sounds really cool that

asian guy school and I would like all the houses but you know I don't really

you know this privilege submission is that I didn't really want to speak

myself out and they left never you guys I kind of if you remember that

perspective kind of fireball in a book if you're like yet any more explanation

of you're like oh they agreed if I draw I one of those famous new face buddy and

I was like great date woman representing school supplies but their insulin heart

was fun box man explore that and it's lumpy from Hollywood in Syria undivided

that's made I was teaching the nineties and there wasn't very much why I mean it

was good layout and and adult American wire cause reading of like jihadi high

design I love but I use nothing in common with you

scourge of twenty-two California website probably date some job when I was I

going to the same and the leg remember reading the crew had this gerenuk he was

just like really tired bit awkward and then like she's like everywhere she's

got kinda like her hands no it really will always been like I can find out the

Ramos doll is in the library little open do you what you got my cell phones for

like sewing fiber so we just finished going to tunnel about right now

get that mixture of having like a very select few and then a big range so

you've already seen focus flatten out where we singing accuser cover every

scientific being sterile or kind of contingency conversation starter I felt

like I got a huge amount of cases over in that little thing

- sorry I'm not finding my session Oh

right so I got high and what

nice idea

- I'm behind on my doing

yeah I believe you working the years and being like

watching a film

I read

you can bring out in a seminar

Oh

I must feel fantastic though there before anyone I'm Helen

I knew this one thing

we hear that everything big dog thank you so much cheers or thought over his

rocker okay so the last thing we filmed was our meeting Emily bar and then after

that we joined the Karen Emma kmenez Q and then we like lingered around a bit

and I say in like the last hour and a half the whole small was like really

dead yeah publishers started like collapsing

there and like hiding all of the arcs that they've saved for the weekend which

we were very tempted to see they're just leaving them in like - yeah we may want

God I don't know the book that we're talking about that we desperately want

is the opposite of okay which is being published by Edgemont in the beginning

of 2018 yep so it's like a really early thing that only giving out 25 copies in

batches and they're only like two flash giveaways in the day the person in front

of me got the last one and I just looks at the woman in there I like I mean I

think half the reason why people want it because they see other people wanting it

like that definitely seems to be the culture around arcs if they're like five

plus people a stool it attracts way more yeah when if any much want people ruin

them do that or what son you also didn't really get to film like the Mad arc -

that we had in the beginning the rest of the day was like quite gentle and like

moving from signing designing or panel or whatever but like the first 20

minutes we were just like going through the stools and first art we got was the

fandom by anna day because chicken health had loads of them and they

weren't fastened about they were just handing them i think you had we had to

sign up to their newsletter at birth and that didn't take a second so i was fine

and then then he came over with a stack and she was like go to macmillan and

penguin because I dress like giving them out so they had tables and it was a

free-for-all graph situation so you bet we grabbed so we have got quite a bit

planned for tomorrow but obviously you'll get to see that as well see you

tomorrow

I don't like my mind right now

Stacking up problems that are so unnecessary

Wish that I could slow things down

I wanna let go but there's comfort in the panic

And I drive myself crazy

Thinking everything's about me

Yeah

I drive myself crazy

Cause I can't escape the gravity

I'm holding on

Why is everything so heavy

Holding on

So much more than I can carry

I keep dragging around what's bringing me down

If I just let go, I'd be set free

Holding on

Why is everything so heavy

You say that I'm paranoid

But I'm pretty sure the world is out to get me

It's not like I make the choice

To let my mind stay so fucking messy

I know I'm not the center of the universe

But you keep spinning round me just the same

I know I'm not the center of the universe

Why Volume Enhancement with a Facelift can Treat Areas Where Lifting is Limited Like Jowls - Duration: 10:20.

Thank you

for your question.

You submitted your question with several photos and you state in your question that you went

to a Board-certified plastic surgeon and you underwent a mini facelift and that everything

looked good in the beginning but you're concerned that 3 months later that the jowls

appear to have reappeared and you're asking why this happened and whether this procedure

is easy to redo.

And you stated that it looked better in the beginning.

Certainly, I can share with you my philosophy about face lifting.

A little bit of background, I'm a Board-certified cosmetic surgeon and Fellowship-trained oculofacial

plastic and reconstructive surgeon.

I have been in practice in Manhattan and Long Island for over 20 years.

Facelifts have become a very big part of my practice from the beginning.

And I have participated in the many evolutions of face lifting, everything from minimal or

mini face lifting to advanced deep plane face lifting.

But essentially, we're talking about some core principles that are important to understand

and I think that there's an opportunity here for you to also understand something

that may or may not have been brought to your attention during the time of your consultation

to help you give some insight.

So for many years, the gold standard for improving the jowls and the neck skin has always been,

essentially, the facelift procedure.

And with every meeting, there are always doctors showing how their method is always the best

and lasted the most time and had the best outcome.

And I think that one of the realizations that we've had over the many years of this pendulum

swinging back and forth over time is that we have to understand that facial aging is

not about sagging alone.

And when you have a facelift, you are addressing the sagging.

What are you not addressing unless it's specifically addressed at the time of the

facelift?

You're not addressing volume loss so understanding that facial aging is both sagging and volume

loss.

Now that being said, when you have a little bit of a lift, you're essentially repositioning

sagging skin and muscle to a better position, restoring that position but you're lifting

against bone that has actually diminished and this is very important to understand.

Within the plastic surgery literature, it has been very well documented how the bones

actually change over time and that is very relevant when we do face lifting surgery.

So when I talk to my patients about a facelift, I also explain to them that there are certain

areas where it's very important to focus on to be aware as to what is the limit of

what the improvement can be and one area is called the mandibular notch, the area where

you are looking and seeing a jowl.

In that area, what it looks like it is sagging, you can also perceive that area in front is

indented.

Now that being said, you can at least understand how in our practice and what is now a strategy

in helping people who are not quite ready for a facelift or have had a facelift is to

add volume in the area where there's volume loss.

So in the mandibular notch, you can add fillers.

Now you mentioned that you have looked better in the beginning.

And I think that most doctors who perform face lifting surgery and this included oculofacial

plastic and reconstructive surgeons, facial plastic surgeons and general plastic surgeons

is that people often do look better early is because swelling restores volume.

And so the appearance of a person can actually be younger because the swelling can make them

look more full.

And as the swelling resolves, then you get to see what is the underlying structural deficits.

So I think it's important for you to understand that it's not necessarily a procedure that

would have to be redone because as much as you may pull your skin up and say to your

doctor, "See you didn't pull this tight enough."

The reality is that the tissue will always reach an equilibrium and that the doctor,

the surgeon who is experienced knows that they can only lift and trim a certain amount

of skin and soft tissue and expect a good healing scar or well-healing scar as well

as minimize the amount of tension in the other direction to avoid pleating or tension lines

as well as to avoid a widened scar and that is part of the art of surgery, not too tight,

not too loose.

You have to have a certain amount of elasticity.

Understand that you have to turn your head, you have to be able to talk, yawn, move your

skin and so there's an equilibrium there.

So I think that the point of this is to at least, from what I would probably counsel

you if someone like yourself comes for an additional opinion, is to allow for more healing.

Allow for the skin to heal and understand that there is some degree of tightening that

can occur as part of the wound remodeling phase of healing.

Some things may get a little bit more laxed, some things may get a little bit more tight.

It's a body in motion.

It's an act of dynamic process.

And I would propose that you would look at things from a volume correction perspective.

Your doctor may be able to help you by simply placing fillers strategically.

In our practice, we do something called structural volumizing and it has been relevant for patients

who are not quite ready for a facelift or patients who would never have a facelift to

restore volume in some critical areas which are the cheeks, the jawline and the chin where

the bone loss can be significant and it may create the appearance of sagging when actually,

there's a lot of deflation than there is sagging.

And that being said, with that technique, we're able to restore an appearance that

in many ways can look like a facelift and I would even argue, in many situations, look

better than a facelift.

So we're living in a very good time where there's greater knowledge and understanding

of the basis of facial aging and there are a lot more tools to help people look their

best.

So in my practice, my goal is to do the safest, quickest recovery surgery when indicated and

use fillers as a way to help restore volume where volume is needed to create the optimal

and natural look.

So I think there's an opportunity here.

I don't think you need to abandon ship.

You don't need to expect and assume you need additional surgery.

Typically the person who is a candidate for a limited facelift generally doesn't need

revision surgery because there wasn't that much excess skin or elasticity as compared

to someone who needed a more extensive face and necklift who probably has some tissue

elasticity that can maybe progress even further and need a little bit of enhancement.

But discuss this with your doctor and explore the options about volume.

So I hope that was helpful, I wish you the best of luck and thank you for your question.

Disney "When Did It Start For You?" - D23 Expo - Dave Smith (2015) - Duration: 2:41.

But when I met Walt, that's when it started for me.

smle - Overflow (feat. Helen Tess) // Lyrics Video

When it's winter, I dream of summer We go places of magic and wonder

Starlit faces never look somber, no Can you feel my heartbeat racing?

Memories of heartbreak fading I reach out these arms embracing you

They don't have a love worth chasing We go far beyond those spaceships

Open up your eyes you see it too

You lift my spirits when you hold my hand

Anywhere we land It's like our toes are in the sand

You got my feelings set to overload Spilling over more

Until I overflow

smle - Overflow (feat. Helen Tess) // Lyrics Video

I can't count to one Mississippi Without needing you to be with me

Life's so complex, all I want is me and you Can you feel my heartbeat racing?

Memories of heartbreak fading I reach out these arms embracing you

They don't have a love worth chasing We go far beyond those spaceships

Open up your eyes you see it too

You lift my spirits when you hold my hand

Anywhere we land

It's like our toes are in the sand You got my feelings set to overload

Spilling over more

Until I overflow

smle - Overflow (feat. Helen Tess) // Lyrics Video

Can't explain what can't be explained Is it so strange to not be the same?

Never change, no please never change Fill my soul, your words set me free

Take me wherever I wanna be Be my harmony
