Youtube daily report Oct 16 2017

We are with Guillermo Moreno, pharmacologist, neuroscientist, who has been in the US for the last few years at the University of California,

first doing his doctorate and then working there... so, we can talk about different topics with you,

because both your thesis and you work is focused above all, I think, on the endocannabinoid system, but you have also cultivated,

you're a consumer I suppose, but you are also in California, a place where they look at cannabis in another way, correct?

Yes, that's true. The truth is that for example, I went to California in 2008

with a Fullbright scholarship to finish my PhD in Cannabinoid Pharmacology in the laboratory of Dr. Daniele Piomelli,

who is a pioneer in our knowledge of endocannabinoid pharmacology, especially in the design of drugs

that alter or modulate the endocannabinoid system, more than just the effect that plant molecules can have on the system.

I remember when I left, everyone asked me how I was going to find good cannabis in the US

for recreational use, and I replied, well, I don't know, I'll work something out, but then to my surprise I got there

and found an industry based on therapeutic cannabis in which people did not smoke, but medicated.

The users were not "stoners" but they were "patients" and the cannabis sold it to him in medicine jars, just as they would sell ibuprofen in the pharmacy,

since the cannabis was sold in these containers, rather thanzip-loc bags that open easily,

and it was prescribed for medical use only, so that the children could not open it.

So, it was something that made me laugh a lot, but it's a very serious thing. Everyone takes it very seriously.

My doctor, my patient card from California, my dispensary gives me this medicine that I feel is the best…

and of course, there was a list of maybe 25 different diseases that one could claim to have a prescription.

The prescription was made by my Dernigman neighbour who was an acupuncturist,

because acupuncturists can also prescribe cannabis in California. So, really, it's a fairly Sui Generis scene.

It's curious isn't it, the method of dispensing back in those days? Nowadays though, it's different.

Just how has it changed? Now you've been living there for almost 10 years…

Yes, well look, the truth is that, well, also because of my research interest. With the aim of bringing a little more knowledge to the field of cannabis,

both inrisk-reductionand, well, to extract to the maximum the potential offered by the plant, well this led me to interact with different groups

involved in activism such as " NORML "(http://norml.org/), for example, that is an organisation that is works tirelessly in activism,

in legalisation programs, as well as different Cannabis Fairs, which of course have evolved a lot in the last 10 years.

So, let's say that this a-legal frameworkhas attracted, well, this rather American system of pushing the limits and well, and of forcing things,

if I can plant, I can sell the flower but also I can make edibles, brownies and such, well anything you saw,

and as of few years ago the whole subject of "extracts" began, and the extracts have really changed the face of cannabis use,

because right now in California as there are practically 50% consuming flower and 50% using extracts.

The vaporisers are, well, their use is widespread and is reaching people who have never used cannabis, who do not know what the plant is,

or howto roll a joint, nor do they want to smoke, because California in the endtends towards a very healthy lifestyle and towards vaporisation,

although we do not know the risks of vaporising oil, we are aware of the risks of vaporising some compounds that have been used to cut this oil

and we know that are very harmful, but hey, we're learning on the fly. This is also very typical of the entrepreneurial spirit in California.

Now, you've told me how you dispensed, but I suppose this has already changed with thelegalisation in the US,

not only of medical cannabis but also recreational. I guess now, as a patient, you don't have to go with the card, at least in California?

Well, California just voted. California, that happened in November of 2016, along with the elections that brought us Trump

and what happened is that something called the "Office of Medicinal Cannabis Regulation" was formed.

So this office was actually created to legalise medical use, which has been approved since 1996.

There was no regulation, so this office was created in 2015 to give regulation to the therapeutic framework,

but let's say partly in response to what was to come after the examples of Colorado, Washington, Oregon and Alaska, well,

California obviously after Proposition 19 didn't pass in 2012 but stayed at the gates, one could see this was coming,

they took one of the heads of the departmentthat manages alcohol and placed her in charge of the department that manages cannabis.

And then, well, a series of protocols is being created, regulation that will deal with the plant, from cultivation, processing,

storage and sale, to a series of licenses that cities will be able to manage in the way they prefer.

You're in contact with scientists working on cannabis, especially in the US. The National Academy of Sciences

recently released a report on cannabis… which I think you know well. What can you tell us about it?

Yes, the truth is that Dr. Piomelli was one of the experts within the panel brought together by the National Academy, and I was given the opportunity to participate

by writing the chapter on Biochemistry and Pharmacology of phytochannabinoidcompounds and well, in this way I contributed a little to this study.

So, it's interesting because this isthe first time they've carried out this review since 1999. There were a couple of requests to the DEA,

which is the agency that regulates the classification of cannabis within the non controlled list of substances. Right now, cannabis occupies a place of privilege

so to speak, the No.1 ranking with other drugs that have no recognised medicinal effect and have a high power to create addiction…

this was created with Nixon in the 70's, and lasts until now. There have been several requests to the DEA for this to be changed.

Actually this depends on the Department of Justice, it's a acumbersome process but the Institute of Medicine did an evaluation in 1999

and this new effort, well let's say it goes with the changing timesa little. That's to say, cannabis is coming,

there are many States, I think that right now there are 29 that have legalised therapeutic use, eight that have recreational use and well,

the Academy does not want to be left behind and so launched an Agenda ResearchProposal. Well, this combines public

and private entities in something of a call to create a framework in which researchers can work and look at the real risks and the real benefits of cannabis,

considering that the US is facing a… let's say, an increase in consumption and probably a decrease in the age of onset, although that is also unclear.

But, well, I want to say that the truth is that the States whichlegalised years ago haven't noticed even a slight increase,

but instead something that is, in my opinion, social alarm. So what is curious is that this Academy report clearly

adds chronic pain as a new use for cannabis within the therapeutic applications,

until now had always beensomething that all patients had said, and in fact chronic pain

is the complaint for which most US patients use cannabis, 64%, but there was still no official source to support this,

so with an analysis of all the literature that is available, this is the message that the National Academy has launched

but has not yet been picked up by the authorities that would be responsible for moving the cannabis from Group 1 to Group 2,

which would certainly greatly facilitate access for researchers.

In this casethat would be the job of the FDA or not?

Yes, the person responsible is the attorney general, and the attorney generalis a gentleman named Jeff Sessions

who has stated that good people do not smoke marijuana. So, it's all pretty grotesque with this new administration,

with the press chief saying that medical marijuana is not the same thing as recreational marijuana,

and that's going to… well, that gentleman has already resigned, he's gone from his position. Yes, it can not be taken very seriously but of course,

just to give you an idea about whose hands these types of decisions are in. We can say that maybe under the Obama administration…

Obama always said that he would do what the scientists advised, that he was not an expert and didn't know, or at least didn't want to recognise it at that moment,

but that it was not a decision that wasdown to him, and I think he hid a little a behind the Senate, the Congress, by saying that this was a plural decision

and not an only an issue of a personal initiative, but it is the Attorney General and the Department of Justice that could make this decision.

In any case, the report is there and now to see if they make a decision some day or not. We'll see…

The industry is booming, the truth is that it would be difficult to imagine the US being left behind.

Let's say that Israel has always been a bit of a US lighthouse for many things and with this it's also the case,

Canada is taking the lead with Trudeau, who throughout his campaign was very clear about his position with regards to cannabis,

with even Australia considering becoming a likely player on an international level.

So, it would be surprising if the US were to be left behind, but maybe if we consider how much the current president loves business,

it would be strange if money did not have a significant influence.

Speaking of other things, not just legislation, as a scientist you've been working with cannabis (endocannabinoid system)…

tell me a little about what will happen in the near future? We're constantly making discoveries, moving forward

and seeing how it works. What do you think the near future holds for cannabis? in this case medicinal I suppose…

Yes. Well, it is true that the endocannabinoid system as a therapeutic target is a relatively new system because we only discovered it in the 1990's,

once we found where THC was bound within the body, and although it is a young pharmacologyso to speak, much effort has been made.

That is, I've worked for many years to create synthetic molecules that were able to increase the endogenous levels,

let's say the very molecules that the body creates and that activate the same receptors as cannabis when the body needs

the activation of this system. Thus, the endocannabinoid system is very interactive with other hormonal

and neurotransmission systems, and generally has what we can describe as a modulating and maintaining effect on homeostasis or physiological balance.

So the truth is that efforts with synthetic molecules, both agonists, which are molecules that activate receptors directly

or pharmacological strategies more similar to others known by other systems, such as serotonin or dopamine, have not yet produced clinical results.

Truthfully, the drugs that are, forgive me, not drugs but pharmaceuticals on the market

that are capable of interacting with the endocannabinoid system are: synthetic THC, a synthetic derivative of THC that is virtually unused,

and a plant extract which combines THC and Cannabidiol (CBD) in a 50:50 ratio.

So let's say that for now the molecules of the plant have been those that have offered a better safety profile,

because there have also been efforts to block these receptors that have given serious problems of side effects and well,

what remains for the moment are phytochannabinoids, and in my opinion I think the challenge of these molecules is their availability.

Understanding how we deliver these molecules, either plant or extract, to the site in the body where they have to act.

Well, the most classic routes of administration are oral, either ingested with food or in the form of drops, and then inhaled, whether smoked or vaporised.

So, let's say that this is a systemic application that works to carry these molecules to the whole organism, they are subject to a metabolism in the liver...

well, the inhaled route diminishes this, but this explains to some degree the difference in effect between edibles (or medibles) and what we inhale.

And I think that work is needed on this route, I think the ailments could be more modest.

Maybe, well, we can not cure cancer or not all kinds of cancer,

or maybe we can not cure the pain or we can not ease the pain or not all sorts of pain right? Or not all sorts of inflammation,

but I believe that selective administration, in organs ... maybe something that targets the large intestine for example, speaking of irritable bowel syndrome,

ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, or maybe a topical application for such issues as acne, or things that maybe…

Psoriasis?

Yes, psoriasis, or inflammatory complaints that perhaps aren't a global threat, but for those who suffer them, they areindeed a problem.

Or analgesics, it's not as if our arsenal of painkillers is infinite. I mean to say, we have 3 or 4 families of analgesics,

if you are allergic to any of them as is the case of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (this applies to a good proportion of the population),

then you have paracetamol and you have opioids ... we aren't exactly so overloaded with therapeutic alternatives as to discard this system as a goal.

And truly, well, efforts are also being made with other pharmacological families such as opiates, for example,

they are administered… the US military gives fentanyl lollipops to soldiers who are wounded in combat,

while at the same time, fentanyl has created a brutal opioid addictioncrisis in the United States, because oral mucosal administration

ensures faster absorption where a more favorable pharmacology does not… it's just an example.

Actually, right now we have a capacity for technological refinement in which we can inject substances into the body's joints,

I don't know how to put it, but the tools are there, right? We need to see if, well, if these molecules, when delivered to the correct place in the proper concentration,

they allow to increase the therapeutic efficacy and to diminish the side effects.

Well, let's see if we get to that point…

That's the objective, that's the utopia. We will see it, I believe, at least in the therapeutic plane.

Well, Guillermo, many thanks for your time. Many thanks for relating your experiences, see you soon..

See you soon, thanks.

Episode 4: Beatriz Araya - Duration: 8:12.

Here in Dorotea, all is calm.

You only really listen to the birds singing and the wind.

That's a really relaxing sound to hear as you fall asleep at nights, that and the rain.

Everytime it snows I go outside and let the snow cover me. I love it

Why 4Teens?

For me, I was drawn to the idea of learning more about nature and the environment.

I don't like the idea of people contaminating this world that we have to live in.

I don't really know, I guess I just liked the thought of trying something new and interesting.

Why take care of the environment?

I think that if we are here for a reason,

then, that reason is because maybe god wanted us to be here.

Some people believe in god, and if he wanted us to be here,

the world is his gift to us and we have to take care of that gift.

For example, outside of my house I have trees and I take care of those trees because I planted them.

I water the trees and I trim them as well.

I also have pets, 2 dogs and three cats and I take care of them.

I like to take care of my surroundings.

Do you volunteer your time somewhere?

I recently joined a local campaign to help people that are in need of help.

But other than that, no.

- Do you to help others? -Yes

Because not everyone always has food, or things to do.

I have been blessed to have a lot of things and maybe others don't have those things that I might have.

Sometimes It bothers me to think that people can't have more good things in their lives.

How important do you think it is to learn to speak English?

I think it's really necessary.

It opens other doors for people.

If you want to travel, you somehow have to learn the basic things of the language.

I think it's easy to learn.

I have a hard time learning but it's still an easier language to learn than other languages.

What are some of your aspirations?

Well, I would really like to go to Japan.

I've always been really interested in their culture, in what they do.

They're very different from the culture we have here. Like really different.

I would love to go in 2020 to the Olympic games they are hosting.

I would love to travel the world but first I have to learn to speak English.

Who is the most influential person in your life?

The most influential person in my life is my grandmother.

I don't know where she gets so much energy to do all the things she does.

At her age she does a lot and me that I'm a lot younger, sometimes don't do anything and she does it all.

She's a very strong and independent woman. She hates sitting down, completely opposite of me.

She doesn't go out very much thought.

If someone in our family has problem, she is always there to help them,

so I would like to be more like her.

What are some of your hobbies?

I play the keyboard. I'm practicing really, I'm trying to get better at the things I already know.

I got it just recently so I'm in a beginning phase still.

How would you describe yourself?

Well, I consider myself smart.

I don't like to go out much because I'm honestly lazy as well,

but I would like to help more people if I could.

I would like to see more things and not just stay home doing nothing.

I also think I'm a really nice person and funny as well.

Whenever I go to school, I'm doing funny things and laughing or making my classmates laugh.

Well sometimes my friends play jokes on me and laugh

but it's also because I'm the most gullible of our friends.

I consider myself to be funny, charismatic

and lazy.

Beatriz, as curious and spontaneous as she is,

she was given us many laughters and she,

with her unique personally

lights up the Patagonian pampas

with her inmense hope.

From here on out we wish that you Beatriz

continue to work hard to achieve your dreams.

You are connected with the universe, because you are calmness,

because you Beatriz...you are nature!

The Asia New Zealand Foundation first held the Diwali festivals in 2002 to raise public awareness of traditional Indian culture in New Zealand.

This year Diwali Mela is organized by Auckland Tourism, Events and Economic Development (ATEED), on 14th – 15th October in Aotea Square, Queen St, CBD, Auckland.

The main street of the city was blocked and decorated with white tents and colorful lights.

People were enjoying cultural dance festival, Indian vegetarian food, shopping, and DJ.

Dinner Time :) It was a wonderful evening for me in this beautiful city.

Pimpin' the Amiga 500 in 2017. 68030, Compact Flash, Kickstart 1.3 - Duration: 14:12.

I love my Amiga 500 - it's an iconic machine that sold millions of units and

put the Amiga in the household of many particularly in Europe but it's not

always been an easy machine to expand. A few years ago The Obsolete Geek made a

video called "Pimping the Amiga" where he expanded his A500 internally with 8

Megabytes of fast RAM and added compact flash via a "Kipper2K" expansion board. If

you haven't seen it link is in the description below now my Amiga 500

contains the very excellent ACA500+ side expansion but I've always

wanted to be able to expand my Amiga 500 internally just like the obsolete geek

has and I wanted to include an accelerated card compact flash more RAM

and be able to close the case and have no site expansions. Now in the past this

has been a particularly expensive proposition - Amiga 500 accelerates from

back in the day are pretty scarce these days and when they do show up they are

very expensive...

Until Now.

Stephen Leary also known as TerribleFire has designed a completely open-source

Amiga 500 accelerator called the TF-530 My card is the second revision and it

features a 68030 accelerator clocked at 25 megahertz an IDE header to add a

hard drive or compact flash device and 2 megabytes of fast RAM. The TF530 can be

built from parts if you know what you're doing and there are many people out

there that have already built their own from Stephens work and the best part

it's very cheap now I'm not skilled enough to solder on CPUs and small

components onto a motherboard but fortunately there's an active community

out there who's willing to do that for you for the lower cost of 130 dollars.

This board means I can finally

Pimp My Amiga

So we're going to go ahead and

install the terrible fire card into my Amiga 500 - now this particular A500 has

Kickstart 1.3 and I want to continue to use Kickstart 1.3 and boot off the

compact flash device utilizing Kickstart 1.3. Now normally this is a very tricky

thing to do because the ability to boot off a hard drive was only available

after Kickstart 2.0 and onwards but there is a way to patch these scsi.device

driver that the Amiga uses in it kickstart roms into a 1.3 kickstart so let's

go ahead and open the case.

Now I've done this a million times before but in case

you haven't it's just six screws they are either going to be Phillips or Torx

screws and if you have Torx screws use T9 bit if you want to open your case.

Next - remove the keyboard connector we can finally expose the motherboard.

This is the kickstart chip as I mentioned is the 1.3 chip and what we are going to do

is remove it from the motherboard in order to dump the ROM and then patch it

with these scsi.device driver. I remove the Motorola 68000 CPU the

reason for this is is that this is where the TerribleFire TF530 card will fit into

Incidentally I use a small flat-head screwdriver to remove chips almost all

the time just gently lift both ends off until the chip comes right off

be careful not to bend any pins however. Finally I have an Indivision ECS

scandoubler in this machine I'm going to remove this as well as I don't really

use it I don't want any cables or expansions hanging off of my system and

there's no easy way to mount the VGA connector that it comes with.

So to dump

the kickstart ROM I picked up a cheap EEPROM reader and writer the GQ 4x4 I

put in the kickstart chip from my Amiga 500 and dumped the contents to a file

now you might be wondering why I didn't just download a kickstart 1.3 ROM from

the internet well I guess I could have done that but I want to make sure that

this is 100% original and not modified in any way. In order to patch kickstart

1.3 with scsi.device we use a tool that's available called kick13scsipatch.lha

- the instructions are quite simple and I won't bore you with the details in

this video but just follow through the guide and you will have a patched

kickstart image in no time. Now we can burn this image to an EEPROM and then

use that in our Amiga 500.

So for those people that are interested or might be

interested in burning your own kickstart roms and you're thinking about picking

up an EEPROM burner I have a couple of pieces of advice for you it's like

getting a CD burner for the first time you're going to make a lot of mistakes

and burn a lot of coasters in this case you're gonna burn some bad eproms and

you're going to have to erase them with an eraser which usually takes anywhere

from 15 to 30 minutes to erase those chips in order to try again so you're

going to make a lot of mistakes the second thing that I real

stress is make sure you have a dedicated machine to burn eeproms on. When I

first got my EEPROM burner I was actually trying to use the machine

behind me which is my dedicated gaming video editing kind of day-to-day machine

that I used for pretty much everything and I was getting a lot of burn errors

midway through the burn and I didn't really know why and when I had read up

on this really the best thing you can do is use a dedicated machine and it ended

up being much better so I ended up using an old Dell i3 laptop that's about nine

years old and it has Windows 7 on it a web browser and this software and I've

had nothing but success with this particular piece of hardware now if you

are thinking about burning kickstart roms the third piece of advice I have is

now you want to use an AMD 27C400 chip and you want them rated at 120

nanoseconds or faster if you use a 150 or anything slower the chances are the

kickstart ROM is not going to put on your amiga now mileage may vary of

course but I think the rule of thumb is anything that's 120 nanoseconds or

faster will work on any spec Amiga there is out there now we can burn this image

to an EEPROM and then use that on our Amiga 500 in order to do this we place

one of the 27C400 chips into the burner and load the patched kickstart

ROM that we created. Now this part is important - and it's one step that many

people forget : you must byte swap the image file.

All EEPROM burning software

should have this ability and if you don't byte swap the ROM it won't boot

After about a minute or so our kickstart is burnt and ready to go if you are

burning eeproms make sure that you put a sticker to cover the glass UV light is

used to erase these chips and they can easily start to go bad if there's too

much light exposed onto the glass. Now I decide to test the kickstart chip we

burned by fitting in the 68000 cpu back into my Amiga 500 temporarily and when

we power it up...

Absolutely nothing happens

when I put the same kickstart

chip into my Amiga 600 that booted instantly so I knew my kickstart was

good it even booted to the compact flash card so in order to make this kickstart

chip boot on my Amiga 500 we need to do some modifications that were going to

take a look at right now. Some of the earlier revisions of the Amiga 500 only

supported a 256 kilobyte kickstart image I have a Revision 5 motherboard which is

one of those revisions unfortunately, however there is a small modification

that we can do to make this happen let's check it out. So we're going to go ahead

and do the Revision 5 modification to the a500 motherboard so what we need to

do is essentially bridge a wire from pin 1 on the kickstart wrong to pin 31 so

what I'm actually going to do is actually flip the board over and do the

modification on the other side of the board and once we've done that then we

need to take this chip out lift pin 31 and then bridge the connection from pin

21 to the lifted pin 31 and that should give us what we need

now we're going to fit the kickstart rom back into the socket

and fingers crossed this should boot up to kickstart 1.3

Now that we have our kickstart rom booting

It's time to fit the TerribleFire accelerator back into the Amiga and button it up.

I fitted a compact flash

adapter to the card please note that this is a 44 (not 40 sorry!) pin IDE connector and

requires its own +5 volts of power so I pulled it from the floppy drive

connector and built a splitter to share the power between the compact flash card

and the floppy drive everything fits inside the case nicely and I'm going to

reattach the keyboard and power up the Amiga

yep everything looks good now let's button the machine up and this project

is completed let's check out the final result

I wanted to give a big shout-out to terrible fire Steven Leary for producing

the TerribleFire cards I'm gonna leave a link in the description below of his

YouTube channel go check it out and the github page where he's got all the

information that you need to build your own TerribleFire cards I will also

leave a link in the description below about where I bought the eeproms from

and where I bought the EPROM burner from so if you are interested in doing

something similar yourself you should have all the information that you need

so please check out the description below for all the links that you need in

order to pimp out your own Amiga 500 just in the same way that I did well

that will do it for this video guys let me know what you thought about in the

comments below as always don't forget to Like and subscribe I'll catch you guys

Ballet is a Eurocentric art form. You must look as European as possible.

"We really want you for the dance theatre audition, hope you're considering."

"But you might want to get a wig or a weave or something,

because your hair might not work for dance theatre."

So that summer I took my weave out, and I went natural,

which I'm totally for.

It was really awakening for me, I was like "whoa". I didn't really know this.

After I did that, it definitely was a liberating experience.

I was doing something that was greater than myself.

I think it did help other people walk in their shoes, and that's what I'm all about.

I'm liberating myself so everybody can be free.

I think that the root of it all stems from courage.

You can't love if you don't have the courage. You can't be yourself.

You can't do anything. So be creatist and do you.

Guide to project management #01 - Pick the right project - Duration: 8:47.

Hello everyone, I am Gigi Miu

Welcome to my project management class

I often receive message from fans, where they tell me that they are not able to make art properly.

Sometimes they have problems making a complex MMD animation,

some other times they can't finish their song and asks for advices,

sometimes they have problems with illustrations and so on...

If any of this sounds familiar to you, well, maybe then this class is for you.

In this class you will realize that you are not able to complete an artwork or a project not because you can't or you are not skilled enough for it,

but just because you have bad project management skills, or in the worst of the case, you don't even know what project management is.

Project management is that skill that will let you make art or face any project doing things on the proper order.

To make a stupid example, let's imagine that you want to build an house,

but for some reasons you start building your house from the roof.

Well, this is really a stupid example, but as you can't start making a house starting from the roof,

you won't be able to complete a project if you face it in the wrong order.

Today lesson will be around what i call RULE NO.1

And rule no.1 is PICK THE RIGHT PROJECT.

To put it simple never start a project that is way bigger than one you can reasonably complete.

You may then think that if you never face bigger project you will never be able to complete them or to skill up at all,

but skilling up and facing over time bigger and bigger project is way different than picking a wrong project in the beginning. I will make a concrete example now.

Take, for instance, this drawing. I am not able to draw this.

This is instead what I AM ABLE to draw.

As you can see there is a huge difference between the two drawings.

Sometimes the most important thing is to be honest with oneself and realize that we are simply not able yet to draw a complex illustration (and illustration is just an example here).

Trying to face a project that you can't complete only leads to frustration and to a loss of self esteem.

So, just being honest with yourself will save you lot of stress and frustration.

So, what i see really often in my fans and in all the people that contact me for advices,

is that they confuse "skilling-up" process with "creating a finished artwork" process.

So, to go back to this illustration example, people often confuse a long term goal, like being able in the future to draw something like this illustration,

with a short term goal of just creating a simple artwork.

This often leads to unfinished artwork, because the creator is unsatisfied with the result that don't even bother to finish it.

And even if they complete it, they just are depressed because it is not like they expected it to be.

think at all the frustration that could be avoided by just being able to distinguish long term goals with short term ones.

The saddest thing is that these creators are often really talented!

But sometimes they have lot of skills but still miss the ability to understand the basics of project management.

Back on the topic of learning and skilling up,

it's a long argument, but it will be topic of future lessons, so for now, just focus on these few basic concepts we are explaining today.

And the first very rule I want you to understand and make yours today is this: PICK THE RIGHT PROJECT.

If you just get ablate realize if you can effectively start a project you are able to successfully complete or not will give you a tremendous boost in your productivity.

Also, don't be depressed if you are not able to do now something. You just need more time and you will be able to do it in the future.

Just be relaxed. If you keep trying and studying you will improve. And you do not need to face impossible tasks for the mere sake of studying.

Learning and skilling up has never been about pushing oneself to the limits, but keep adding small increases day after day.

So, next time you are about to make art or to start a new project , ask yourself this simple thing:

is this the right project for me? Can i complete it or I will just abandon it because i can't complete it at all?

This is all for today lesson.

Again, in the house of this class we will face all the topics needed for you as artist to skill up.

Regarding the class schedule it will be once every two weeks.

So basically you will have each week a lesson on how to make vocaloid music,

and in addition to that you will have OR a "how to make MMD video" OR a "guide to project management".

That's all, thanks for watching! See you soon! Don't forget to subscribe!

You Only Get One Shot to WOW! - Duration: 2:47.

- A few days ago, I was hanging out with a comedian

while he was working on his pilot for a TV channel

and he's sold multiple pilots already,

he's sold multiple movies

and one of the best pieces of advice that he gave

that's relevant to this channel as well

is work hard and revise because you only get one chance

to wow an audience.

Now, this is coming from somebody

that's had dozens of chances to wow an audience

so it's really interesting to see

how he approaches one project

and thinks that that one project is his one chance

but it got me thinking a lot about how we sell

because it's the same in a cold email.

For any specific prospect in any situation,

you only have one chance to impress them

so why not try as hard as possible

to make sure that cold email is as written as possible,

make sure the case study is as compelling

as it could possibly be before sending an email out

and the same is true in comedy.

As we dig deeper into the scripts

with this animation company

especially as we bring on more experienced comedians

to help us,

it's clear that there's always room to make it funnier.

As long as you release within the deadline,

so as long as you set the deadline

and you release before that day or on that day,

there's always room to make it funnier.

Me and my little brother wrote this script

for an 11 minute pilot

that hopefully we get to shoot in the next month or so

but this script, we thought it was the greatest

and then we looked at it a couple days later

and it was just totally garbage.

We did the same thing though back when I was in an agency,

back before I was director of marketing,

when I was a junior sales guy,

one of the first things that Chris,

the guy who was training me told me

was whenever you write a proposal,

write the proposal out then wait two or three days

and then come back and fix it.

It's this exact same mindset.

There's always room to make it better.

Keep punching up your stuff whether in comedy or in business

and make sure that the content you write

is as tight as possible

and one of the easiest ways to do that

is to show it to somebody else

if you have a friend or a colleague.

Before you send a cold email out to your entire list,

try to find somebody in person that you know and trust

to look at the email and review it.

We do this a lot of times internally at x27.

One of the business managers will write an email

so one of the sales guys on our team

whether it's Letitia or Nick

or anyone else on the team will write a cold email

and then they always pass it by Lael or Robert

or even me to check and make sure that the email's good

and there's always some kind of feedback that can be gained

especially if the type of person giving the feedback

has been in those shoes before.

If you like this video, be sure to like

to encourage this type of content on YouTube.

and if you need marketing support for your digital agency,

Ousted President Park Geun-hye speaks out for first time since arrest in March... while her... - Duration: 2:13.

Former President Park Geun-hye spoke out in court for the first time today, criticizing

the move to keep her in detention for another six months during her trial.

And on top of that, her lawyers have handed in their notice, saying the court's bias makes

it meaningless to try and mount a defense.

The trial, in which Park is charged with bribery and abuse of power, could now face further

delay.

Kwon Jang-ho has the details.

Impeached former President Park Geun-hye appeared in court on Monday, for her first hearing

since the court decided to extend her detention for another six months last week.

And for first time since her arrest in March, she spoke publicly, carefully reading out

a written statement.

She expressed her disappointment at the extension of her detention and once again pleaded her

innocence.

But she also made more cryptic attacks regarding the integrity of the court.

She said, "Despite political will and public pressure for the court to carry out the case

with only constitutional and honest judgment, I have come to the conclusion that it is meaningless

to believe that the court will do this."

She added "I hope the use of the law's name for political revenge stops with me.

I will carry all the historical burden and blame."

Then, Park declared that her lawyers were feeling helpless and expressed their intention

to quit the case.

Following a short recess, Park returned to court without her seven lawyers, who later

issued a formal statement of resignation to the court.

One of her lawyers commented afterwards that they understood the move could be seen as

a stunt and they would bear all criticism, but they reiterated that any defense of their

client would be meaningless.

The court now has until the next hearing on Thursday to decide whether to accept or reject

the lawyers' resignation.

If accepted, Park has to find new lawyers or the court has to appoint public defense

attorneys.

However, that path could lead to significant delays and disarray in proceedings.

There are over 10-thousand pages of investigation notes and documents which a new defense team

would have to process, and there are risks the case will have to start from scratch.

The prosecution has expressed frustration at the move, and a court official said it

is unlikely that a regular hearing will be able to go ahead by Thursday.

I'd always straightened it, because I never liked my curly hair.

I thought: "No, it looks too Latina."

I made friends with a lot of young women who were in punk bands,

and I really wanted to be in that scene.

I dyed my hair, bleached it all.

I was always kicking myself afterwards. Why did I always spend so much time...

I just want to, you know... "What do I really look like?"

Accepting it and being OK with it and loving it is a beautiful thing.

Instead of playing punk, I started going to school and learning about jazz.

When you look at pictures of a trumpet player at a gig, he'd be wearing a suit.

And I was like: "Man, I want to put on a suit, I want to refine my look."

"I don't want to be dirty anymore."

I feel like when I have my hair a certain way, when I have the suit on,

it's like I can trick them for a second. There are no rules.

You just have confidence, and I'm like: "I can do this."

I want to look and feel powerful.

Since the original androxus mask turned out pretty bad, i decided to make another one, and i was very satisfied with the results

On the outside, i used two coats of resin, to make it more durable

After that, two coats of polyester glue, so i can mold the mask

This adhesive bonds very fast, so mix it a few portions per time

Then its time for sanding, trying to leave everthing as smooth as possible.

I started with the machine, and finished with sandpaper

Primer, makes the paint adhere better to the surface and avoid cracks after it dries

In the eyes, i glued the plstic from a Mountain Dew bottle, and also put some foam between the eyes so the mask doesn't hurt your nose

Let Your Fear Turn to Faith - Just a Minute! - October 16, 2017 - Duration: 1:01.

O you of little faith.

Sometimes we all feel this way.

Like we don't have any faith at all.

Now that was the case with the disciples.

And a perfect example was when they were caught in a big storm on the Sea of Galilee.

Jesus was with them but he was asleep in the boat when the storm popped up.

Now the disciples woke him in a panic — "Save us Lord, we are perishing!"

Yes, they had seen Jesus heal lepers and cast out demons.

But they weren't sure he could handle this storm.

So they panicked.

What did Jesus do.

He calmed the storm.

And the disciples marveled.

Well here is the good news.

Jesus is big enough to handle any storm that comes your way.

So take a fresh look at him and let your fear turn to faith.
