What Barber Does Instead Will Melt Your Heart

A haircut sounds like such a simple thing, but for a child with autism, it's can be

anything but.

Some may have a hard time sitting for that long; for others, having someone's hands

in their hair, feeling the hair clippings fall on their face, getting wet, or the shearing

sound of the scissors can all be distressing and lead to outbursts.

Some hairdressers refuse to cut autistic children's hair because they don't want to deal with

the screaming or whatever else they might do, but Canadian barber Franz Jakob takes

a different approach – he welcomes them.

"My shop is completely vintage," said Jakob, who lives in Rouyn, Quebec.

"All the walls are jammed with photos and stuff from around here.

I think that has a positive effect on the kids.

Each time I'm doing it there are no tears, no screams.

We enjoy it together.

I think the atmosphere of the barbershop helps a lot.

I really take my time doing it.

I can take up to 90 minutes cutting hair for kids with special needs."

A photo a Jakob doing one of his "unusual" haircuts has recently gone viral.

It was taken by Fauve Lafrenière whose 6-year-old Wyatt has autism.

She said she's been bringing Wyatt to the shop since it first opened two years ago.

Jakob understands that the process is difficult for Wyatt.

He allows the young boy to wander around the shop.

Sometimes, Wyatt will lay down and Jakob will follow suit.

While it takes more time and effort for Jakob to do this kind of haircut, it's all worth

it to make the process as easy and painless as possible for both Wyatt and his mom.

These aren't the only special haircuts Jakob does.

He also serves terminally ill customers who want to feel good about themselves and get

one last fresh cut.

"The first time was some guy who brought me one of his friends who was in his last

hours, and he wanted a shave and a haircut," Jakob said.

"It became very emotional, and I said I would do it again.

I'm taking great pride doing this.

It's really an honor.

We listen to some Hank Williams, and we shave like in the old-school ways."

Jakob, who has been cutting hair since he was 12, when he would charge $5 for a trim

at lunch in high school, said he is proud of the work he does and sees himself as a

leader in the community.

"I have a line each morning out my door," he said.

"People drive three or four hours.

I'm taking great pride in what I'm doing in my community."

SAB Goblin Mini Comet // Unboxing // Building // Flying - Duration: 22:30.

Hey guys... I have a confession to make...

I am expecting....

I am talking about the Mini Comet. Well I was EXPECTING the Mini Comet to come ;)

I just couldnt resist and I ordered it

in the color

yellow

its so cute

and i will start to build

it today

and like always you may accompany me while doing that

have fun!

I hope you are not mad at me because of the small joke at the beginning

i meant something babysize coming in connection to heli ;)

and again we talk about the SAB Goblin Mini Comet

i just couldnt resist

this thing is just soooo cute

i just thought the Fireball needs a brother

as always the mini goblin comes

in a nice pretty box

i decided to get the yellow version as a super combo

means servos, motor and esc are included

and now we directly start

with the unboxing

as always we get a color printed manual

in english

i simply love the manuals from SAB

because they are "idiot-proof"

then a small registration card

where you get asked to

register your goblin

and here is our object of desire

embedded in its silky bed

(well not really silk, haha)

but its nicely presented i think

aaaw i cant get over it how cute it looks

here we have the

rotorblades, its cfk blades

its 280mm, the same as wirth the fireball

here you also see

the cute baby blade caddy

here you see

the tail fin

which has to be glued onto the tail later

and then we open the biggest box

if you ordered like me the super combo

then you will find in here

all your electric devices

of course a separate manual

for the esc

here is the ESC itself

additionally the SAB servos

3x cyclic, 1x tail

and last but not least

the big and heavy

but impressive motor

it has lots of power but we WANT to speed a bit

so lets put all that to the side

and its time to touch our baby the first time :)

look at this... isnt it cute?

i instantly fell in love

and directly i am fighting with the magnetic canopy system

as you see its closing quite strong

inside we find the landing skid

of course we dont have a retractable skid like in the real big Comet

this one is super tiny and also its a fun speeder

but i have to admit that it looks

really the same as its big brother, the 700size comet

ah dont forget the tail pushrod inside

if you unbox the heli

so we have only the small box left

the last box

as always the Goblin is a model to BUILD

there is no preassembled heli

YOU build the heli beginning

from the first screw

for those of you fearing that it will

be a pain in the a** because of tiny screws

i can tell you i built a trex 250 once and that was indeed a fight

but to build a fireball or a mini comet is more like a 450

so dont be scared and go for it!

so lets talk about my setup

as always i will show you what i will use

the lipo will be a

Optipower 6s 1000mah

also i will use the Graupner GR-18 FBL

with built in receiver

as you can see this thing is really tiny

FBL and its so cool that we dont need an extra receiver

so we save space and lots of wiring what is good in a tiny machine

the transmitter is as always my

Graupner mz-24

okay so i think we can

directly start assembling

the whole thing was built up in 4/5 hours

thats the fastest ive ever been i guess

but here is my pride

it really looks so cool

everyone who takes the heli in his hands begins to smile and says "oh it is so cute"

it simply has its own

flight profile and look in the air

and its super fun to just simply FLY IT

thats so funny :)

here i also want to show you

that the whole body comes pre-painted

also the magnets, the pins and the wholes are already built in

the complete wuick canopy closing system is ready to use

as you can see here

it opens by simply pulling it up

and it closes by itself with snapping magnets

there is no fiddling around, it closes securily and safes time

now i will show you some footage

here you see my Graupner GR18 sitting in the back

in the front is the ESC and under it the lipo

as you can see its super fun to fly it

just speed or smack around

i am really having fun with it

it flies surprisingly stable and "adult"

of course its not very lightweight

but the tail holds very good

also with tail heavy manovers like funnels

its reacting superb to pitch, the motor has LOTS of power

i was shocked in the higher rpm :D

and its just simply fun to fly it

and finally i wanna show you a quick flight

where i flew this little baby in the back garden

of my parents-in-law

so you can see what this baby is capable of

if you have to fly it in small space

i know that many hardcore 3D cracks can do this MUCH better than me

but for those of you who know my flight style

you will notice that

i am flying nearly everything

i tend to fly with my 700size

the mini comet flies very stable and as i said it has LOTS of power

also its super visible in yellow!

so this baby gets definitely a

"thumbs up and buy it" review from me

American Road Trip Journal #1: Cascade Lakes - Duration: 6:42.

Hey guys, I hope you can see me it's pretty dark here, but

Yeah, if you follow me on Instagram or Twitter you might already know about the great news

and sad news at the same time. It's that we are leaving Portland and the Pacific Northwest on November 5th

We are going to be spending the next few weeks

Slash months on the road road tripping the United States, so it's pretty exciting

It's also very sad to leave

This amazing place behind, but it is what it is

So this one is gonna be the first episode of a new series that I'm gonna call

American Road Trip, Journal, so this is the entry number one

As I said we are living in November 5th, but until then

I'll be

Going to places around

Oregon and Washington pretty much saying goodbye to these places were I'm not gonna be coming back

anytime soon

This week this is going to be for Oregon and right now. I'm camping well car camping at lava lake in the Deschutes National Forest

So it's 10 p.m.. Now, it's been dark for almost 3 hours, so it's gonna be a long and cold night

It's 30 degrees outside I believe

33 but yeah today was a long day, so let's start from the beginning shall we?

One thing that I almost forgot: I usually show my film photos on these videos that I post in YouTube

but that's not gonna be the case with these videos because it's gonna be... there are gonna be quite a few of them

so I can't wait to go home or hotel or wherever we are

develop the photos and then scan them and then put them in the video

So I'm gonna be including just digital photos from this camera

But I'm gonna be talking about film photography of course and then every once in a while. Maybe once a week

Maybe once every two weeks

I don't know... I'm gonna just do a recap of the whole thing and show all the photos once I develop and I scan them

started the day

pretty late. here we are driving through Mt Hood. It's so is such a beautiful drive

I'm gonna miss it so much

But yeah the fall colors were going crazy as you can see here a lot of yellow and orange trees

Pretty in Black and White! Then after Mt Hood comes the desert. Eh

As you can see the Cascades don't let the rain pass

It's also a pretty cool drive. It's pretty different. These are the warm springs

This part of Oregon has really great views of the Cascade Mountains, though

Our first official stop was of course Smith Rock

But I was not expecting this weather. It got really hot. I mean I think it would like

70-75 degrees

But enough to get pretty hot in the car. It was packed, it was full of people a lot of people were climbing

I've never seen so many people in Smith Rock. I guess it's peak season

But anyway, I took a few photos

with the bronica

Even one with the Holga, and yeah walked around a little bit, it's it's always a nice place

But then we headed to where we were planning on spending the night that it was the Cascade Lakes

area

To Mount Bachelor, the highway is still open. I almost got stuck here trying to get to Sparks Lake

it was too much snow for the

for the Jeep

it wouldn't have been fun being alone

So we kept going I was looking for a place to actually spend the night. I found this little campground here is the Lave Lake

As you can see it has also a nice view, and there is a campground! It was open so

And then we left campground again to spend the evening driving around and just taking photos during sunset

Even had time to take a long exposure with the bronica

hello friends welcome to the Q and A where I answer all your baby sleep questions and

doubts.

Today question is Hi, my baby is 7 month old and drinks liquids he eats all the mashed

fruits but still does not sleep during the night he wakes up in the night for every 1

and half hour for fed and during the day he sleeps for 3 hours after a massage and then

2 naps of 30 minutes each so please advice how to set his night routine I have read that

babies of 6 months old sleep for 5 hours at night at a stretch . the good thing over here

have started the fruits and you have started the liquids that is a good thing that is a

good thing for his development he should have a variety of food at this stage and the next

thing . The main problem I see over here for the night sleep is the day sleep it is a lot

of hours and a baby of 7 months old he should only be sleeping 4 hours maximum during the

day.if you want him to sleep the long hours during the night.

You can divide this into 2 naps and these 2 naps should be each of 2 hours and this

will help him develop a habit of long sleep hours and he will reserve his stretch sleep

for the night rather than during the day 3 hours he has after massage , So try to remove

the day sleep this is what is breaking the difference of day and night for him he is

having too much sleep during the day so he wont be that exhausted . he wont sleep continuous

sleep at night .Make sure he sleeps at regular intervals and doesn't get too tired.

But a 7 month old actually does not need that many hours during the day as you have mentioned

over here . So try to do this instead of the 30 minutes I would suggest just 2 naps each

of 2 hours and for the night you keep the long strech of sleep . The other thing is

its true that babies of this age can sleep for 5 hours and more actually so yes you are

right he can achieve a long stretch of sleep but what you have to do whenever he wakes

up instead of offering him a fed I want you to help him get back to sleep try to pat him

or try to soothe him rather than giving him milk for getting him back to sleep cause this

will lead to association of milk and sleep so do not do that try to use other methods

to help him get back to sleep . If you keep trying you will see that after a few weeks

or after a few days itself the baby will learn to sleep the continuous stretch at night rather

than during the day . to set a routine you can check a video I have made about how to

get your baby night routine established well . The other thing I would like to say is keep

a log of your baby daily sleep and try to see if he hast slept too many hours during

the day that is what I see is a major problem over here is .Do not forget to use the night

technique to soothe him rather than feds , do not offer him feds every time your baby is

waking up this is a bad idea because what will happen is they will get addicted to the

habit of having milk and then sleeping addicted as in I do not mean its an addiction , milk

is good for you but 7 month old can do without milk at night because as I see his daily feds

during the day is quite healthy . So donot use milk to help him fall asleep rather pat

him or try to shu shu him when he gets up and encourage him to get back to sleep as

soon as he wakes up at night , and do not try to help him by rocking or the other sleep

associations which are bad . I hope this helps ,I hope your baby gets back to sleeping long

SAB Goblin Mini Comet // Unboxing // Building // Flying - Duration: 22:30.

Hey guys... I have a confession to make...

I am expecting....

I am talking about the Mini Comet. Well I was EXPECTING the Mini Comet to come ;)

I just couldnt resist and I ordered it

in the color

yellow

its so cute

and i will start to build

it today

and like always you may accompany me while doing that

have fun!

I hope you are not mad at me because of the small joke at the beginning

i meant something babysize coming in connection to heli ;)

and again we talk about the SAB Goblin Mini Comet

i just couldnt resist

this thing is just soooo cute

i just thought the Fireball needs a brother

as always the mini goblin comes

in a nice pretty box

i decided to get the yellow version as a super combo

means servos, motor and esc are included

and now we directly start

with the unboxing

as always we get a color printed manual

in english

i simply love the manuals from SAB

because they are "idiot-proof"

then a small registration card

where you get asked to

register your goblin

and here is our object of desire

embedded in its silky bed

(well not really silk, haha)

but its nicely presented i think

aaaw i cant get over it how cute it looks

here we have the

rotorblades, its cfk blades

its 280mm, the same as wirth the fireball

here you also see

the cute baby blade caddy

here you see

the tail fin

which has to be glued onto the tail later

and then we open the biggest box

if you ordered like me the super combo

then you will find in here

all your electric devices

of course a separate manual

for the esc

here is the ESC itself

additionally the SAB servos

3x cyclic, 1x tail

and last but not least

the big and heavy

but impressive motor

it has lots of power but we WANT to speed a bit

so lets put all that to the side

and its time to touch our baby the first time :)

look at this... isnt it cute?

i instantly fell in love

and directly i am fighting with the magnetic canopy system

as you see its closing quite strong

inside we find the landing skid

of course we dont have a retractable skid like in the real big Comet

this one is super tiny and also its a fun speeder

but i have to admit that it looks

really the same as its big brother, the 700size comet

ah dont forget the tail pushrod inside

if you unbox the heli

so we have only the small box left

the last box

as always the Goblin is a model to BUILD

there is no preassembled heli

YOU build the heli beginning

from the first screw

for those of you fearing that it will

be a pain in the a** because of tiny screws

i can tell you i built a trex 250 once and that was indeed a fight

but to build a fireball or a mini comet is more like a 450

so dont be scared and go for it!

so lets talk about my setup

as always i will show you what i will use

the lipo will be a

Optipower 6s 1000mah

also i will use the Graupner GR-18 FBL

with built in receiver

as you can see this thing is really tiny

FBL and its so cool that we dont need an extra receiver

so we save space and lots of wiring what is good in a tiny machine

the transmitter is as always my

Graupner mz-24

okay so i think we can

directly start assembling

the whole thing was built up in 4/5 hours

thats the fastest ive ever been i guess

but here is my pride

it really looks so cool

everyone who takes the heli in his hands begins to smile and says "oh it is so cute"

it simply has its own

flight profile and look in the air

and its super fun to just simply FLY IT

thats so funny :)

here i also want to show you

that the whole body comes pre-painted

also the magnets, the pins and the wholes are already built in

the complete wuick canopy closing system is ready to use

as you can see here

it opens by simply pulling it up

and it closes by itself with snapping magnets

there is no fiddling around, it closes securily and safes time

now i will show you some footage

here you see my Graupner GR18 sitting in the back

in the front is the ESC and under it the lipo

as you can see its super fun to fly it

just speed or smack around

i am really having fun with it

it flies surprisingly stable and "adult"

of course its not very lightweight

but the tail holds very good

also with tail heavy manovers like funnels

its reacting superb to pitch, the motor has LOTS of power

i was shocked in the higher rpm :D

and its just simply fun to fly it

and finally i wanna show you a quick flight

where i flew this little baby in the back garden

of my parents-in-law

so you can see what this baby is capable of

if you have to fly it in small space

i know that many hardcore 3D cracks can do this MUCH better than me

but for those of you who know my flight style

you will notice that

i am flying nearly everything

i tend to fly with my 700size

the mini comet flies very stable and as i said it has LOTS of power

also its super visible in yellow!

so this baby gets definitely a

"thumbs up and buy it" review from me

if you are searching for a fun speeder, go for it, its really super fun!
