I'll tell you a secret.
Nobody knows it. Just you.
When I have a lot of money,
I'll move to the land of the Deaf.
Kuzya. What car is this?
[K]: The Eternity.
But the main point is, the car is completely powered by Alphard.
Everything that's in there is produced by the brand Alphard Caraudio.
So, 4... 3... 2... 1...
Hi, everyone. We're doing a very unusual review today, right?
We're reverse-driving. I wanted to make some nice footage. So we're about to hit the '13.
LOUD SOUND review. Who else could make this footage for you?
Everyone's been waiting for the '13 review for a long time, but you've no idea what we've done to it.
Some think it's 12th order BP, or 4 130 W bridges on Bass Warrior. Well, no.
[A]: We've fcked on some optics.
Yeah, like he said, we've fcked some optics on it.
And now we've got real life Astell & Kern player in the '13.
This is the first SPL project in the world operating on optics. They're gonna troll their asses off.
But, yeah, we do have a lot of optics here.
Is there anybody with Astell & Kern in their car?
[A]: Kibar does.
Oh, he does? Bit his car is no good for music.
Russia, look! Here's an Astell & Kern DSD player that enables us to lead music by optics.
Okay, let's go make a review and show it all.
Here's the review of the '13 for 2017. The one you've been waiting for.
Oh, right, the Mercedes. Gotta say about it, too.
I mean, what's to say? Once you mention it, some go jealous,
[A]: Should've bought a Camry.
A Camry, yeah. I actually do think of that, too.
But I don't regret it so far I would if I didn't have this.
[A]: Door closers.
No door closers, no leather. Artificial, only. Here's some Alcantara, though.
But I do have Multi-beam lights, and... Okay, our '13 review is turning into a E-class review.
Let's get to it.
Alex! Why the heck would you park it here?!
My E-class looks kind of lame now. Look.
[A]: Should've gotten a Camry!
Camry, huh? I mean, look at it! Yesterday, it was so beautiful! And now it looks so dull against this one.
Well, this is 10, and this is.. less.
This is not ust a 63, though. This is 63S. Only one of these is there is Rostov.
In Moscow, there are probably more of these than in the whole Germanay. It's 611 HP
Front-wheel drive can be switched on/off.
The seats are embracing, really cozy. Check this out! You can turn off front-wheel drive!
The seats are dope, btw.
Look. Well, it has every cool thing. All of them.
[A]: Carbon.
Even foldable mirrors.
But the star of the show here is... the banana.
Mini-banana.
This was a great visit to Ceramic Pro. These lil' bottles bring us money.
They might be crap but they do pay so we gotta promote the stuff.
Nay, I'm kidding. Worked perfectly fine on my BMW. Alex applied it.
If Alex does it, it might -- Oh, Arty is grabbing his chance.
Engine oil? Like, AssholeTech, right? Oh, let's pour some ceramics into the engine?
So, hi, everyone. This is the long-awaited review of the '13 of 2017.
Everyone's been waiting for it. And most of all, me. But, unfortunately, we didn't have enough time this year.
Neither for the '13 not for a bunch of other stuff. People often complain, 'You don't film this/that'.
But the more the business grows, the less time you have left for some things.
So at the moment, we're doing a little bit of everything. But, sre, we couldn't leave out the '13.
It would be criminal negligence.
And the '13's renewed, too. It now has optics, it has a 6th order bonpass.
We've also done some minor renovation on the inside. And we'll go through all of that one by one now.
But, gotta admit, this year, the car got out probably less than ever. Right, Arty?
It's been docked for 6 months, and it's only been out for a couple of recent competitions.
And it didn't participate. It was there just to entertain people.
We didn't wait up till the amps come. We were planning on installing Doomsday there.
But now we have a temporary solution comprized of two 10K-ers.
Pretty much the ones that've been there since the beginning. First there was 1 GR, then we made it 2, no?
Today, I think, we'll not only cover its current state
but we'll remember all that's ever been done to it, and how the project was born.
Recall how it all started. What were the flaws then.
Remember how people would go ballistic when we claimed it was the /the/ one,
I mean, the loudest, the most stable project in Russia.
The shaking camera must've hinted you that Arty just giggled.
Because, sure, SPL has gone far forward, and it's falling behind the loudest cars.
But there is one thing to be sure of. This is a loud daily car.
I could say this is my second car which I can take for a joyride for music.
This is the most popular caraudio project in Russia, still.
Despite the fact they started forgetting it --
Whose is the most popular, then?
The Hummer? Yours? You're about to blow up now. It's not the most popular, man.
[A]: Who cares? I made them both.
I'll be honest with you. I like the '13 better than the Hummer.
Arty wouldn't argee with me here. He's a nutjob.
He needs it to punch you so hard. In the '13, you drive around listening to music.
In Hummer, you're trying to survive.
In the '13, you'd drive around and see people dancing and stuff.
With the Hummer, they'd close their ears and look at you as if you were retarded.
Okay, so let's take a look at the car, than a little flashback, and a bit of playing in the end.
If Alex is okaywith it. Are you?
Oh, he is.
We'll need to drive this one away, though. Last time we played it here, it started snowing.
We'll start traditionally under the hood. Nothing has changed there really,
But maybe for some of you it would be the first time.
Let me say it again, this is not our image project. In 2017, there are louder, cooler, badder cars.
Here, we still got it neat and stable.
There are many of the kind, but this is probably one of the most - what they call - clean ones.
And it's nice and neat, all fit in a smal car, not a SUV, not a huge wagon. Just your daily car.
Without any drastic body changes, and it's not a rusty bucket, either.
We do see tons of those. No offense, guys.
There's nothihng bad about buckets, really. Guys manage to make them play up better,
many of those are competition regulars.
But gotta give this one a credit. This really is a cult car. For some, it's nostalgia.
Maybe even... I mean, we've joked about it, and got trolled over it. We might sell it for 24 Mil.
I mean, I would consider selling it for some crazy money. But for real money like 2-4 Mil.. No way. Not selling it.
So, under the hood, we have a turbine. This is a turbine, right?
[A]: An 8-er.
An 8 Volt engine with about 165 HP right?
What's the real HP count, btw?
[A]: 170. I've tested it.
We had constant issues with the alternator at first. Well, the thing is, it's kind of uneven here.
Used to be. Not anymore.
But initially, this fixing bolt would go sidewats all the time.
Arty tried all sortsof supported, oversupported bolts,
And at the beginning, the bolts broke, dunno, five times?
[A]: We had to re-weld it.
Yeah, so we replaced the mounting. Remind me what alternator we have here?
[A]: C-370. At first, we had a 300 one, but we replaced it instantly.
The motor shield pass - if we may call it that - remained the same.
There are 2 of them. They go into this basin, and then go in to the salon.
The 0 Ga power cable here is the very first Audio Extreme one, the one Alphard used to import.
There's no brand anymore, and the cable is still here.
A lil' flashback. I mean, many don't know what this car was initially made for.
The bass is actually a by-product here. It's just Arty wanted it really bad.
So he did it.
In fact, this abbreviation, this F-13 --
which used to be a sticker, and now it's an aerographic image --
it's the name of Loud Sound's speakers, F-13. They are still in there in the doors.
This car was purchased specifically to demonstrate those speakers. And they are still in the doors.
Let's show them. The only thing is, initially, there were 10 of them,
10 speakers per door. And now there are 12 per door.
And in the first install, we had HLG-25 Neo tweeters hat were not exactly an eye candy.
Gold in color, 8 pieces per door, I think.
And now we have 6 pieces of DE -- I almost said T-35. T-34 are those.
So, 6 T-34 in the doors. And I do like this front better than the Hummer's
Do you agree? Do you like it? It's just you used to dislike it.
[A]: They're fcking awesome.
Well, yeah. They play cleaner, louder and softer and stuff.
The fact is, this car is a lot more pleasant for your ear when you're inside.
Perhaps, if played to the outside, if you open the Humer's doors and the rear lid,
it could be louder. But here, the gist is inside, when you get pierced with the mid-range waves. So cool.
The '13 is like iPhone, renewed every year.
And this year, the change is not quite minor. iPhone changed less this year.
It didn't change at all. It's a booby trap. You're buying same old iPhone 7 with a glass lid stuck on the back.
We, on the other hand, didn't change the back lid.
Btw, when the '13 was gaining its popularity, one of the most trending videos was - and still is viral
I think it was called something like 'Rough Stuff. Hardcore Daily Music Damage'.
We have a video where this lid tears right here, Arty fastens it with duct tape, and we go to kick more.
Si it was holding on that sole duct tape. Back then, we had an enclosure. Ok, about the sub set.
Let's go through its history and evolution.
But first, let's go over this year's changes.
The amp moved up. Used to be underneath.
Only this one with the LOUD SOUND acrylic glass lid was in plain site. Now, there's Deaf Bonce logo, too.
Now they're lit. Quite brightly.
Whoosh!
The lighting is bright af. Dunno who did it this year, Arty or the Lowerer, but they sure cut selves a slack
and the lighting is not hidden. For now, though, right?
Or maybe not. Nothing is so constant as the temporary.
This really is a very temporary thing, and this might be giving it up.
Gotta give Arty a credit. He said right away, 'Show this to Tigran.'
One of Tigran's favorite excuses is 'There's not space/ It won't fit'.
So this year, Arty managed to fit two 12 KWs, two huge OGO widebands,,
a 700 mA/h section of Lithium Instant Batteries, a D-class 4-channel amp, and a load of wires.
Why this way? We were expecting Doomsday amps and were supposed to re-arrange it all here.
We waited all we could. Re-arranging stuff before having the amps is stupid. Even if you know the dimensions.
We didn't get the amps, so we did this temporary solution. The only thing is we did re-arrange this.
Can you imagine? The car's on since 2013. The project is four years old.
And every year, something changes in it.
Not just a couple of tweeters more, but something critical happens.
I think, for those who've been following the project since 2013, watching this should be interesting.
Some look at this and remember the shelf with - what was it? eight? - 12" subs,
8 12" Audio Extreme subs. Some of the first subs of that level at that moment.
Not much competition there, either. The closest were Sundown Audio SA, if I remember it correctly.
SA were simpler, the Z were badder, but they were more expensive, too.
AE was kind of the golden mean back then.
his does not look really good, but the objective was not to make it look good.
Everything is covered with the false panel here.
The biggest challenge here was to load one trunk with batteries,
two amps, two wideband monoblocks, and a 4-channel amp.
And this is basically the back wall of our chamber.
This is essentially a port now. In there, we have 6th order BP, we'll get to it.
The arrangement is somewhat similar to that of Ando's.
But the guys have more inside space generally, plus they've expanded it to the rear,
Despite the fact it's a sedan. They say it's difficult to put up a bass sys in a sedan.
And here we have the whole rear for amps.
So, yeah, it was easier here.
I think if Arty said, 'Let's do this here', I'd say it wouldn't work out.
Gotta show how we loaded it together with the bolts, right? And then you welded it.
[A]: Yeah.
The lid is still gonna break, but this time, the reason will be more frightening.
You need to press it hard but slow, so that the air does not create excess pressure.
That'swhy sometimes we wind up with these minor flaws.
We bought it new, from a dealership. They didn't even give us the carpets for free.
Here, we can see what happens to Russian cars over
years of use. It's not hit or something. Just the paint came off, right?
[A]: Yep.
This is not a clip-on-part. I mean, ir's a wholepiece.
But for some reason, the paint flaked off exactly in the inner part.
We still have the armored glass on the sides. The outside glass is the stock one,
and behind it, we have the enclosure's side wall.
And in order for people to see the subs in action, we installed this armored glass last year.
And now it's not lit but it used to be.
We had a review on the '13's changes, And back then, it was really amaznig.
I even sai there were no cars like this in the world. There most likely were, but I hadn't seen one in Russia.
And there's none still - right? A car where you can see subs work from the side.
Arty wanted a wall, and I wanted this because this gives you a 360° visual prospective.
And not only those near the windshield could see something, but people all around the car.
We did lose the rear, however the rear gained lights and the amps were moved there.
Arty put up a wall and managed to keep the visualization on the sides which is a huge respect,
bc we did have the conversation, saying it was fairly impossible, and noone's ever done it.
I said, but you /can/ try. And he did.
There are no cars like this, still, righ, Arty? Or is htere somewhere?
Oh, in the Hummer!
This year, we went further. Now we have front visualization, too.
So whatever you can see through the side window, you can also see from the inside here.
It'sall 'cuz now the arrangemebt is a 6th order BP. I think someone agrued that, no?
They even claimed we had almost a sealed box. Oh, they claimed the Hummer's was one.
Do you know you have Sealed Box in your Hummer? Compete in SQ.
6th order BP with the poty in the rear.
First there were 8 subs, then 5 subs, the four 415s, them four 315s,
And now we have 4s. Note these are the very first ones which you can tell by the baskets.
I doubt you can find any of these for sale.
And the most noteworthy thing is that one of them - do you know which one?
Is the very first Deaf Nonce in the... in the Universe.
In the world.
Check out the video. When the very first Deaf Bonce came to Russia, we put it together,
and Denis Vikhlyayev gave it to me. I even pumped my biceps up a little.
My muscles were a bit more massive back then. They've been trolling me for that, too, btw.
Like, go hit the gym. And I don't want to.
I don't have time for serious workouts, really.
That's all excuses, though.
We have the very first DB in here. But unfortunately, we don't know which one.
I used to have it in my Ford, and then it moved over to the '13.
And so at this moment, one of the first DBs in Russia, dare I say, on the market -- you could call it a test sample
so a legendary car houses a legendary sub.
As for the bass, the shelf is prety even at the moment. It gives out about 158.8-158.9 dB max.
But the power's falling back a pinch bc the subs have 4" coils at the moment.
The windscreen looks like this now. You might've noticed it already.
Arty just turned on Coca-Cola right away.
And the screen -- well, I wouldn't say it was a failure. We decided to leave it as it is for now.
Provided the correct use, it's okay, but if you want to kick it up with the right door shut,
and with powerful low-range, the glacc gets kicked out.
If we fix it to stay put in there, the glass with shatter.
Well, Imean, sure, we can put up armored glass, but we like it that we can put up a show.
And this year, in fact, it was alightly transformed.
Sure, shattered glass is a very picturesque scene, but it is a bit on the unsafe side.
The glass would fly away, and replacing wasn't that easy.
Now, when the glass flies off, we can wave a flag there. It's called Windshield trick.
We can wave a flag in the windshield without losing the wind in the side windows.
We can basically put out a flag there, and have two girls sitting on the sides,
and make this hair-trick. On the LOUD SOUND Kazan opening - if you missed it, 220b, Pobedy ave --
we opened a LOUD SOUND shop in Kazan, and we towed the '13 down for the event,
To make this double hair trick there - not sure if it worked outwell, tho - we took out the windscreen.
And putting the subs at risk, we did this double hair-trick to two girs.
Terrible clipping, but the wind was there.
Gotta understand, though, that the 2 10Ks give out - what? 6-7 KW,
it's sure not enough for 2 Deaf Bonces. Gotta kick it up.
But all in all, it's perfectly fine for show, for demo, for a joyride around the city with some music on --
but make sure you're not doing it at night and in living areas!
Consider that. Why are you smiling? Wanna say I don't do that?
Well, I do it only sometimes. And I put on something nice. No bass. Or mids.
The windscreen is not that big a problem whether it breaks or flies off. Unlike the body.
I doubt you could sell this one as undented and non-repainted. We used to joke you can only sell it to a blind.
But now, a blind person can touch it -- Not only the door got cracked.
The windshield pillars get torn, too. Used to be really bad.
Then we empowered this part with a beam.
Some minor damage here. The central pillars were welded.
And the roof was replaced.
The '13 took it forward. It tore the central tunnel, right by the gear stick.
When we took the panel off, we saw that the stick was falling outside.
Some minor traumas are under the hood. It gets its share, too.
This doesn't affect the speed but facilitates hard bass-ing, and the car's cost grows over the years.
This is one of the few cars that get old and rusty, yet more and more expensive.
Before we get inside, let's go over the outlooks.
Some parts were definitely re-painted.
Almost all, to be precise.
And the shaking camera indicates that Arty is giggling again.
[A]: Just remembered some of the picures.
Gotta give credit to the wheel rims. These are cast slicks.
We installed them in the beginning, and they are still there
Arty has broken his share of roads with it. He's one of those responsible for potholes.
Disk brakes on both front and rear wheels.
We replaced the drums because this weight is difficult to stop. Now the braking is rather okay.
But I wouldn't say acceleration is okay.
We chipped it, so it started running a bit faster.
Before that, you couldn't move with the bass on.
With the alternator that loaded, you had to start off with heavy acceleration.
And that is a really thin chance to go.
Now, there's enough power to go on traffic light even with the system on.
Sometimes you struggle driving phill, though. The locals know that place - Bogatyanovskiy Spusk,
Oh, you should have seen me fly up there with the 1st gear on.
The clutch wouldn't stink but I thought -- oh, you don't drive there at all?
[A]: I only climbed it once in the Hummer.
I'm a 90's kid. I know that you can always go back down and reverse-climb it.
We didn't do much more tot he outlooks. It's always been kept as stock as it ges.
Well, the aquarium showcase, to visualize the bass.
We bear no stickers, posters and stuff.
Sometimes you see cars that seem to think the more stickers the better your sponsors sell
Everyone knows this ar has had Audio Extreme, Alphard, Deaf Bonce and Arty's saying Machete.
What's Machete there?
[A]: Subs.
Oh, right! We did have Machete there!
I don't know where it is!
[A]: It's lying on the side.
Oh, here it is. Wait, the glass is getting scratched.
What if you scratch it?
Above that all, the car is also sponsored.
At the moment, it's promoting the brand Deaf Bonce.
and Alphard Group.
To my mind - I don't want to argue about it, this is my personal opinion. I've been in sales for years now.
This is the best advertisement for hardware.
This hardware has been on the road for 4 years, and people saw it not die out.
People would sit there realizing the subs behind them are letting out Hell-hot air but there's still no smell
And they play all day long. Like that time on the Rowing Channel.
And those weren't even 4", those were 3" ones.
iPhone turned off sating the temperatuer is too high.
The amps turned off to safety, an the subs - when I thought I could finish them --
I mean, everyone saw those subs work miracles that day.
It was steaming hot outside, they'd been on fo rthe whole day, and I decided to finish them.
And then, a think I still can't understand happened.
I've killed far too many subs, Arty's my witness.
Arty, do you know how many functioning subs I've killed?
He doesn't. I don't, either. I've killed a lot. And that time I decided I would kill them, too.
I tried on putrpose, and they survived. Those were 3" coiled DB 315.
And this, to my mind, is the best ad you get. It's when people see it work, not a bunch of stickers.
Okay, let's now check out the inside, and the head unit.
The first thing you see on getting into the car is this minor change.
This is one Astel & Kern, a kickass device.
This player supports high-result formats, it's DSD, and it has fiberoptics.
So we can run sone super-quality sound off it.
To manage the fiberoptics, we installed this JLAudio processor which we've recently reviewed.
This is a top notch device, and at the moment, we have many sources.
Consodeting the fact this processor has analog inputs
as well as Optical and Coax ones.
And you can pre-set the transitions between all these inputs.
Hence we managed to keep the HU.
We used to have one Pioneer 99, Alpine 55, then Alpine 35.
Quite a list of those.
[A]: I thin we even had the 87.
Yeah, right! And there was this 1.5 DIN
7998 was its name.
Why the fck do I remember all those numbers?
Now we have Alpine 33. The 33, 35, 53, 55 are still some of the best HUs in terms of sound.
But they are very picky in formats.
However, we have a huge number of connections here.
We have full-swing optics. And we can use regular analog here, too.
And the player would pass the signal on to the HU from its sub.
And here, we have the JL's remote, so we can switch. Check out the review, and you'll see how dope this is.
We can use it for setting, an we can switch presets with it, too.
So, one preset reads the HU as the source, the 2nd one has the player for it,
and we can hook up more to pick whatever you want.
