20 Things to do in Lviv, Ukraine Travel Guide - Duration: 12:01.
Today's video is all about our visit to Lviv (Львів).
Having come straight from Kiev (Київ), Lviv offered a real change of scenery.
The city was much smaller, more walkable, and it looked distinctly Central European.
In some ways, it reminded us of a smaller version of Krakow or Prague, though a little
rough around the edges.
But enough about first impressions; let us actually show you around.
In this video we're going to take you on a grand tour of the city and highlight 20
things to do in Lviv on your next visit.
A solid day of sightseeing needs to start with a good breakfast, and after walking around
the Old Town a bit, we found a place to eat: a post office-themed cafe!
This is so amazing.
This is so much more beautiful than I was expecting.
So right in front of me I've got these crepes with apple and walnuts.
And just look at the way they've like folded them and like twirled them.
Like it is so pretty and it has cottage cheese as well.
Icing sugar, cinnamon.
Like this is a gorgeous work of art.
I almost don't want to dig into it.
Haha.
Aside from crepes, we also ordered pancakes, cappuccinos, and verguny served with cream,
so it was a bit of a sugar kick, but what a tasty way to start the morning.
Alright guys, I was super excited to visit the Armenian Church (Հայկական տաճար)
and it is not open.
It looks like it has been undergoing some renovations so we're just going to have to
peek through the gates.
There is some concrete bags and yeah this is all we can see which is too bad.
Okay, so the Armenian Church (Вірменський собор - Katedra ormiańska) may have
been closed but there is no shortage of churches in this city so we've come across another
one.
The Transfiguration Church (Преображенська церква) so we're going to go inside
and have a look.
Like in Kyiv (Київ), we quickly discovered that Lviv is a city of churches, so our next
stop was the Church of the Holy Communion (Домініканський костел
і монастир).
This was our third church of the day, and it wouldn't be our last.
So we haven't exactly been having the best of luck with churches and cathedrals today.
First one was under repair, the second one we weren't supposed to film but we got a few
shots very discreetly.
And the 3rd one there was a wedding.
Sunshine!
What have we found here?
Well so far we've been just wandering around Lviv (Львів) for a little while and we've
found a lot of cool markets.
Like there is touristy ones but there is also some more local ones like just behind me here
people are selling books and it is a little bit of a flea market going on as well.
Yeah.
We then visited the Dormition Church (Успенська церква), also known as the Assumption
Church, where yes, there was yet another wedding taking place!
(Ukrainian signing)
Needing a little break from ecclesiastical architecture, we walked over to the Lviv's
Town Hall, where we decided to climb to the top of the Bell Tower for some views of the
city.
I'm totally out of breathe.
That is a lot steeper and higher than I thought.
Yeah.
And yeah we're almost there though.
It is super stuffy there is hardly any air.
The views will be worth it.
We're not actually done though.
Oh, woah.
It continues.
Made it to the top.
Made it to the top.
The views are worth it but we've been climbing so many towers I almost feel like we should
be getting paid to be going up them instead of paying ourselves.
There was like no air in this tower.
It was so stuffy.
It was kind of gross.
It smelled funny.
Yeah, as we were going up it started to smell like farts.
Haha, Sam.
I think someone let a bomb go.
I'm not kidding.
Maybe it was Sam.
No it wasn't me.
Or maybe not.
It was not me.
And after climbing up and down hundreds of rickety stairs, it was time for lunch!
So it was like mid-afternoon.
This is our first full day of like wandering around the Old town.
Yeah.
And we walked by this place I saw people eating sushi and it looked so good.
And we're like we have this massive craving for that.
To be fair we've had a lot of Ukrainian food while we've been here so I feel like it is
nice to mix it up a bit.
Yeah, and it is good to show like there is really good International Food in Ukraine
(Україна) so yeah yeah we've ordered a whole bunch of different uh sushi rolls.
Sushi rolls and I have a big beer coming up and so yeah I'm just kind of in my happy place
right now.
The food is here.
I've got my miso.
Lots of sushi.
I've almost finished my Warcraft beer.
And oh my gosh this is our favorite.
Philadelphia rolls.
Yeah.
Cream cheese, avocado, salmon.
We basically just got different combinations of that.
Basically.
Both those are like the main ingredients in all of our sushi.
Mmmm.
This was such a good idea.
His happy place.
That is all I'm going to say.
And keeping with the theme of churches, after our sushi lunch, we visited the Bernardine
Church in the south end of the Old Town; followed by the Latin Cathedral (Лати́нський
собо́р - Katedra Łacińska), which sits in the southwest corner of Market Square;
and finally the Jesuit Church, where if you can believe it, we stumbled upon yet another
wedding!
Clearly, it was wedding season.
(Church choir)
So that was our 6th church of the day.
It was the former Jesuit Church.
Hi.
Sam is just popping in to say hello.
Um, it was my favorite church so far.
It was under renovations, scaffolding inside, the ceiling looked like it was crumbling down
but there was a wedding taking place.
Yes.
So we were able to like stand there and watch it and it was really cool.
They had a beautiful choir.
That afternoon, we also came across Lviv's Souvenir Market, where you can find everything
from matryoshka dolls and painted landscapes, to traditional clothes and football gear.
The market is located just east of the Lviv Theatre (Львівська оперa - Opera
Lwowska), and on that note, here you can get tickets for the ballet and the opera for very
affordable prices.
Now let's move on to food.
Lest you think all we ate in Lviv (Lwów) was pancakes and sushi, we also made time
to visit a traditional restaurant outside the Old Town, called Seven Piggies (Сім
поросят).
Alright guys, it is lunchtime here in Lviv (Львів) and we tried to find the most
traditional Ukrainian restaurant that we could and that is how we ended up at Seven Piggies
(Сім поросят) and yeah I can tell you taxidermy is really popular.
Lots of stuffed animals.
There is like beavers and squirrels and owls.
Um, it is very colorful.
It is all white walls but is is like decorated with these bright flowers.
So yeah, it is super cool.
We're the only ones here and our food has arrived.
Okay.
Banosh (Банош).
We ordered dishes like Banosh, a maize porridge prepared with salty sheep cheese, eggs and
bacon; black dumplings, which were a little different from the varenyky we'd become
used to; a soup served in a ceramic bowl with bread cooked overtop; and a pork leg with
the most tender meat ever.
This apparently is the house specialty.
They have actually named this dish after the restaurant and it is the 7 pigs and it is
a huge pork leg (ГОМІЛОЧКА "СІМ ПОРОСЯТ").
It appears like they have like a cheese or melted cheese.
Melted cheese sauce and I'm just going to like carve off a huge.
That looks good.
Look how big that is.
Oh man, the meat looks so tender.
It does.
It looks really tender.
So I'm going to get some sauce on that and take a huge bite.
Ooh.
My gosh that is such nice meat.
So tender and actually it is not a cheese sauce it is a mustard sauce.
Oh, it has got a kick to it.
Yeah.
Totally different than what I thought.
Alright guys, so this afternoon we are visiting the Lviv Historical Museum.
Pretty cool but you have to wear special slippers to get in here.
This is one of the oldest and richest museums in Ukraine (Україна) in terms of its
artefacts, and if you're feeling a bit peckish after that, they have a charming cafe right
in the Italian Courtyard, which is well worth the visit.
And not too far from there, you also have the Lviv Arsenal, which houses the Weaponry
Museum featuring items from the Late Middle Ages through to the 20th century.
So I spy a little creature over your shoulder.
Oh, who could that be?
Where could we be?
We're at a cat cafe.
Cat cafe.
It is such a nice surprise.
We had no idea this was here.
We just kind of found it spontaneously and yeah we both love cats.
Well actually I like cats even more than you.
I like dogs.
No, you actually secretly love cats.
No, I like dogs.
Audrey secretly loves cats but we're going to go in right now and check it out.
Okay.
So we made it inside the cat cafe.
We're currently being ignored by the cats.
Actually there is children running around peaking under our table to see if we're hiding
any cats.
No, cats anywhere near us.
Yeah.
So yeah, we're going to dig into the cake and this one is called the cat cafe cake which
is their signature dish I guess.
So my cheesecake has arrived.
Take a look down here.
And this is the traditional um Ukrainian kind.
It is called Cernik (xxx).
I think it may also share the same name in Poland.
I remember in Poland it was called Sernik (xxx) too.
Maybe very similar names.
But it is a very thick type of cheesecake and it is really good.
Mmmm.
Very dense.
Dense cheesecake.
I like it.
For a more unusual attraction in Lviv (Львів), you have the Yard of Lost Toys, which is a
makeshift graveyard and outdoor museum for toys that have been lost of left behind.
Apparently, it all started when a resident from one of the apartment blocks along Mukachivska
Street found two lost toys and placed them in the shared courtyard, and it kind of grew
from there.
So, we've already shown you views of the Old Town from the Bell Tower, but another
free alternative is walking up Castle Hill (Високий замок - Замкова
гора - Wysoki Zamek).
It's a pretty easy walk along a defined path, just don't go expecting a castle at
the top because all that remains are a few ruins.
Lastly, let's talk about transportation in the city.
The tram (Львівський Трамвай) is hands down the cheapest way to get around
Lviv (Львів), and while you can still see a few older ones around, modern trams
are slowly taking over, so it's a fairly reliable way to get around town.
And that's a wrap for our visit to Lviv, Ukraine (Україна).
We found this to be a charming city with a completely different look and feel from Kiev
(Киев), so we're glad we added this stop to our itinerary.
If you're short on time, this is a great destination for a weekend escape.
Now you know the drill, if you have any other suggestions of cool things to do around Lviv
(Львів), feel free to share those with fellow travellers in the comments below.
Wishing you happy travels and until next time!

I got called over by my crush.
Confession
It must be a confession.
I'm ecstatic.
It's been ten minutes.
Have you still not worked up the courage?
H-Hey...
Wait!
D-Do you have a crush on anyone or anything, Takase?
What's the correct answer in this situation?
Should I just say, "you"?
But then I'd be stealing her confession.
But it's not like I don't have a crush...
Oh, you do?
No, I didn't mean that.
What? You aren't making sense.
Just say so if you do.
F-Fine, then, I don't.
What do you mean, "Fine, then"?
I mean I don't.
Really?
Wasn't there something you wanted to talk to me about?
L-Like I said, I wanted to know if you had a crush on anyone.
So?
I'll tell you, and then what?
Fshh
Fshhh
Fshh
Are you done? I'm leaving.
It's not that I'm done.
But I kind of missed my chance today.
All right, I'm leaving, then.
W-Wait.
H-Hey...
W-Would you...
All right, bring it!
Would you meet up with me tomorrow, too?
I guess I should do it.
I-I'll tell you tomorrow.
Nah, it's fine.
But first, there's something I...
Really?
You'll meet up with me?
S-Sorry about today.
I forgot what I was going to say.
No.
About that...
Huh?
I-I'll tell you tomorrow that I like you.
Okay, see you tomorrow.
Minagawa-san, the class rep, doesn't do her job. She's a slacker
Minagawa-san, the class rep, slacker
Could you help me out a little, Minagawa-san?
But I'm too lazy.
Then why did you become the class rep?
Because I like you, Furuya-kun.
Could you please not mess with me?
Oh? Are you angry?
Sorry.
That wasn't my intent.
I-I'm not angry, really.
It's true that I like you, though.
Is that supposed to be a confession?
Of course.
Will you go out with me?
But there are rumors that you hang out with lots of guys.
I'm a virgin, though.
Besides, I have guy friends, but it's not like that.
Y-Yeah?
Do you think I'm lying?
Not really.
You think I'd sleep with anyone, don't you?
N-Not really.
You're getting horny just imagining me having sex.
No, I'm not!
I knew it, you're just toying with me!
Sorry.
But these things are always really awkward.
That's why I can't tell if you're serious or not.
Then will you give me an answer if I told you properly?
A-Answer?
I don't know you that well.
Besides, why me?
You could get with anyone.
I like you.
And what about you?
I-I don't know anything about dating yet.
But...
Teehee
Shudder
What are you grinning about?
You're too adorable, Furuya-kun.
No more, we're done talking about this!
You haven't given me an answer.
You're going to laugh at me again if I try to answer, aren't you?
Yup.
Did I make you hate me?
Yeah, specifically how flippant you are.
So reject me, then.
Seriously, can we not talk about this?
So you don't totally hate me.
I seriously hate you!
The student council president saw me smoking.
Dammit.
The Student President's Woes
That's no good, Kaji-san.
Akagi! You aren't going to rat me out, are you?
Nope, I'm not a monster.
I'll let you off the hook just this once.
You're pretty cool.
If you give me a kiss, that is.
Are you messing with me?
I'm being serious.
There's something that's been on my mind, actually.
I've never been in love with a woman.
What are you, gay?
Nope, I tested that.
Huh? Tested what?
I just have a hard time finding interest in women.
I can't figure out what's so fun about dating.
So you want to kiss someone to find out?
Sure, that sounds fun.
I'll teach you how to kiss.
No, I know how to kiss.
Oh, sorry.
You're surprisingly cooperative.
Well, it's not like this is my first time.
I'll kiss anyone for money.
Really?
Then how much would you sell your body for?
Say, 100,000 yen?
That's perfect.
Why do you have that much?!
Are you scared?
What?
I'm not scared.
shudder shudder
zziiipp
You've never actually prostituted yourself, have you?
What?
Who do you think you're talking to?
No one asks for 100,000.
That proves you've never actually sold yourself before.
But 100,000 is actually too little.
I want you to value yourself more.
Akagi...
I'm still asking for that kiss, though.
You are?!
Of course.
Don't forget our agreement about your smoking.
Are you scared?
N-No, I'm not scared.
All right, here we go.
You reek of tar.
You reek, Kaji-san.
Shut up! What'd you expect?!
You should quit smoking.
Bite me!
What are you, my boyfriend?
That doesn't sound bad.
I think I can fall in love with you.
As long as you quit smoking.
Piss off!
Astronomy Club
Yukawa-senpai is a third-year.
He's graduating tomorrow.
Senpai, show me the stars again tonight.
No way. You're too annoying, Sasahara.
You suck.
I was going to confess to you, too.
How many hundreds of times has it been?
Shucks, you got me.
I'm sick of it.
This is a bad habit of mine.
I make a joke of my feelings for him.
Spica
I want to tell him how I feel, for real this time.
First, I think it's important to set the mood.
Senpai, it's cold. Is it all right if I huddle up with you?
Yeah, stay out of my way.
Also, is it okay if I push you down?
What?
Sorry.
This is our last time seeing the stars from here.
It is.
This is the last time seeing the stars with you, too.
It is.
ba-dump ba-dump
I mean, we could see the stars together if we really tried, though.
Shut up, already.
Have you learned any of the stars yet?
No, well, uhh...
Spica, I guess?
That's the first one I taught you.
I'd never forget a star that you taught me, Senpai.
Point out Spica, then.
U-Um...
Get it together.
You're the only member in this club next year.
That's your fault, Senpai.
You always look so grouchy.
Then why did you join?
For love, of course.
Sure, sure.
I'm glad my juniors love me.
Would you be glad if I really liked you?
I did it!
I told him I like him without joking about it!
I wonder if Yukawa-senpai will appreciate it.
Maybe he won't.
Huh? What's with this vibe?
Am I making a mistake?
Did I blow it?
No, no, no...
Sasahara.
Just kidding!
Did you think I was being serious?
I blew it.
I can't tell him I like him anymore.
He wouldn't believe me.
I told Senpai I like him so many times over the past two years we spent together.
I could never tell him I was serious.
Senpai's graduating.
I'll never get to tell him I like him.
I'm going to cry.
No, no.
I don't want to cry in front of Senpai.
I don't want to worry him.
I don't want to make it awkward.
I want him to smile like he did before.
Don't cry, don't cry, don't cry...
Please don't cry.
I'm tired of hearing you say you like me.
You're awful.
But that ends tonight.
I want to hear it one more time before I go.
I'll say it, if you won't.
Senpai...
I seriously love you.
Stop crying, idiot.

Vitamins that Reduce Inflammation Natural Cures Tips - Duration: 3:52.
Vitamins that Reduce Inflammation A healthy, diverse, and balanced diet can
be fundamental when it comes to fighting your inflammatory response. Likewise, an unhealthy
diet can cause it to appear. Inflammation is a reaction that is triggered
by your body.
Its characterized by reddening, swelling, pain, and difficulty moving and, it appears
as a consequence of the presence of the microorganisms, irritating substances, or because of an injury.
Vitamins that reduce inflammation have this ability because they are rich in antioxidants.
Because of this, its important that you have a complete and balanced diet.
Among these vitamins we find:
1. Vitamin A Vitamin A is able to relieve pain in your
muscles and joints. Also, its necessary for keeping your vision and skin healthy.
It also contributes to strengthening your immune system. Another one of the benefits
of vitamin A is that it helps in the growth and care of muscular tissue. It also does
this for your bones.
Vitamin A has also been shown that this nutrient regulates your inflammatory processes. It
helps to reduce levels of the inflammatory mediator known as MCP-1.
How can you get the necessary amount of vitamin A?
Among the foods that have this vitamin, we find:
Paprika Red pepper
Sweet potato Carrots
Lettuce 2. Vitamin E
Vitamin E is an organic compound that is essential for the human bodys health.
Since your body cant make it naturally, you need to add good amounts of it to your
diet. Its recommended that adults eat at least 15 milligrams of this nutrient every
day.
According to a study carried out in 2008, eating vitamin reduces levels of cytokines.
These are some of your bodys inflammatory mediators.
How can you get the right amount of vitamin E?
To get vitamin E naturally, you need to increase your consumption of:
Nuts (walnuts, hazelnuts) Sunflower seeds
Vegetable oils Vegetables (spinach, broccoli, tomato)
Fruits (mango, kiwi) Its a good idea to include these foods
when youve suffered from a cut or you can suffer from any kind of inflammation.
3. Vitamin C Vitamin C relieves muscle and joint pain by
protecting and healing your muscular tissues.
Also, it helps to:
Strengthen your immune system Strengthen cellular development that helps
with muscular maintenance and healing. How can you get the amount of vitamin C you
need? The daily recommended value (DV) of vitamin
C is one gram. You need to add 500mg of flavonoids to this (natural antioxidants).
To get the flavonoids, its recommended you increase your consumption of:
Vegetables (artichokes, spinach, broccoli) Fruit (apples, lemon, pomegranate, apricot,
prunes) Green tea
Cacao According to several studies, a high intake
of vitamin C reduces the amount of inflammation in your body. Vitamin C can be found in foods
like:
Oranges Peppers
Kiwi Thyme
Cauliflower Spicy peppers
Guava

I FAIL to get the MOOZ 3-in-1 Printer Working😢 - Duration: 18:41.
Today I have a three in one machine to show you. It's called the MOOZ.
It is a 3D printer, it's a laser engraver and also a CNC machine
And this one is the control panel. It looks like a phone but it's definitely not a phone.
This is the base. It has a lot of ports.
Underneath there are some cables and some samples of wood so that I can practice CNC and laser engraving.
The second layer we have power adapter and a power cable.
Underneath is the 3d printer filament.
I think this is the build plate for CNC and laser engraver.
It can hold a piece of wood or other material.
And this is the build plate for the 3D printer.
This one is for 3D printer.
Looking at the nozzle I think before they sent it out they already tested it. Which is good.
This one I'm pretty sure is for the CNC machine it's got the CNC head.
The last one is the laser engraver.
I've got to say the packaging is really tight and solid.
I don't think it will have any problem when shipping overseas
These are linear motors
Oh and one thing I forget to mention. You'll feel it when you take it out of the box.
They're made out of anodized aluminum and some black plastic.
I don't know if eventually it will work but if it turns out doesn't work. It still feels really really nice
I don't think I will hear complaints about the build quality.
One thing we're missing I don't see any instruction. The manuals.
You know I have a little bit of a technical background but I'm good at following tutorials and instructions.
Right now I have to take a break and ask them for an instruction and then I will
come back and keep filming I guess.
Okay they emailed me and sent me the instructions.
I have the PDF on my phone it's pretty clear and easy to read.
but unfortunately it is easy to read in Chinese.
they don't have an English version yet.
So I can't talk about it until I check the English version and see if it's okay for you guys.
I'm using the electric screwdriver today. It's a bit easier.
I don't think anyone want to see me spend all day trying to spin the Allen key around and around.
First I'm talking off all the screws on the base so it will be easier to put the motor on the top
because I think there is not enough space
for me to put the motor on the side, so I'm just going to take the base off first.
This is their motherboard.
I'm using the..
I'm using the 8 millimeter M3 screw to screw on the base.
This is the Z-axis so I have to use the splitter to connect to the Z-axis.
I think they have a nice interface.
I'm going to move the Z-Axis up so that I can put the plate in.
All right let's put the 3d printing plate on the Y-axis.
Let's just test and see if the motion is working okay and then I can try out the heads.
Okay guys. It has been a few weeks I have been communicating with the boss and the workers at Mooz.
Back and forth.
But there are some issues and let me show you the problems I've encountered.
First I'm going to feed in the filament into the extruder
and I'm going to first cut an angle on it. Otherwise it's very hard to just jam it in.
Before we put it in of course we need to heat it up first.
So let's press the button like a wave button, and then it is going to heat up to 200 degrees.
It must have hit the fan inside so now I have to pull it out.
Sometimes it does that sometimes you put it in the wrong direction.
You will know it's the wrong direction, because the fan is very close to the
extruder so that's one thing you need to know.
So now I'm going to try to feed it in again.
Right now we have to set the Z height. Because there is no way to level the bed.
There's no leveling like the other printers.
Just like other printers I'm going to use a piece of paper to test the distance between the extruder and the bed.
Even though I have small fingers, it is still hard for me to
use this touch panel. So I'm just going to use the Allen key to control it.
What? Can't it go down?
So even now when I set the Z-axis to zero the extruder is not touching the bed.
Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't when I restart the printer sometimes it works but most of the time
it takes a while for me to get it working and the annoying thing is
when I tap the left button it wouldn't go to -0 or maybe it hits the limit.
If so and it's not touching the bed
what else can I do? I don't know what to do
Okay I finally set it to zero. I tried it a bunch of times.
It's inconsistent. I can't tell you which way is the right way to get it
working because you have to turn it on and off and then you try a
bunch of times and hopefully it would work. And now it works.
But I have spent too much time on it.
But for you if you can figure out a way to do it that would be great. Let me know.
But now I'm going to hit the home button.
Let's double check.
And now let's hit Print. Let's choose a file. I'm using their G-code.
The G-code file they give me.
So let's print out the second one Totoro. Let's try that.
So the extruder has already heated up and now it is just sitting there doing nothing.
I'm going to cancel it and let's try another G-code file.
But actually I've tried them all. But I just want to you guys to see what's going on here.
So let's cancel it.
Well it seems it is frozen now. Let me restart it.
Dorus
Okay I can not give my recommendation for this machine.
This is a 3 in 1 machine. It's a laser engraver, CNC and 3D printer combination.
Because I haven't been able to make it work for me. But all of you know I only have very basic skills.
Maybe someone like you or someone who has a higher skill can make it work.
It is a very well-made machine, the built quality is good.
And the people at the company they're very nice they're honest.
I think they are honest. They're not trying to cheat anybody but I couldn't get it working so
I am not comfortable recommending it.
So that's the review. Thanks a lot for watching.
See you next time.

Justine's walk in closet - Duration: 12:37.
Hello everybody
I am right outside of Justine's house
this is Justine's house
Her house needs a Walk In Closet
Or " klädkammare" as we used to say in Sweden
but that word is kind of forgotten...now even the Swedes call it Walk in Closet
This is not going to be a an LA Closet Design type of Walk In..
nope..this is going to be a "not too pricey type of closet"
I truly look forward to this challenge
I have never said the word Walk In Closet so many times in a few minustes before..
Now, we have measured everything
so now we need to go shopping
We had the best woman ever helping us out the last time we were here
We need shelves and rods
We need something like this
It has to look good
We will need at least 20 brackets
Now I want to find that nice and helpful lady..
here are all the different rods
brackets..
I have to find this woman
This is garage cabinets and shelvings
If you're craving a Garage Mahal..
I want to have this in my brand new house..if I ever going to build one..
This car is kind of full..
We're at Cluver's..
We got some help
We are a tad bit too short
to install that top shelf successfully
We are almost done here
I am going to have a cup of tea with Justine
Do you want a pair of scissors???
He wants a pair of scissors
He wants me to cut this
Now it is only the styling part left..the best part..
What do you guys think about this closet?
I absolutely love it!
It turned out amazing on quite a limited budget
It looks super fancy but it's not super pricey
I just love this, don't you agree?
Please comment below
See you guys in two weeks!
I don't know about this one..

WORLD'S LARGEST GUMMY SKULL - Halloween Special - Duration: 7:55.
Hi and a huge Halloween welcome to Steve's kitchen. We've been having a lot
of fun in the kitchen today, just come down here and have a look. Oh yes we've
been making a giant gummy skull and will it come out in one piece? we don't know
yet, you don't know, if you want to know you're going to have to keep watching let's
get on and make this giant Halloween gummy skull.
Now I've got these aeroplanes, these are anniversary, 90 year anniversary packages.
So they're done in the old-fashioned style but this is just a raspberry jello
and it makes about five hundred mls or two cups of regular jelly. So we're just
going to open a packet, now our jello for this gummy skull has got to be stronger.
So we're making a double strength recipe and we're adding some extra gelatine as well
to help this set really firm. So I've got four packets of this beautiful raspberry
jello or jelly crystals. Now remember a lot of these jello powders are mainly
sugar so I'm not going to just use all jello, we've got regular powdered
gelatine here and I'm going to add in 3 tablespoons of gelatine. Now do be
careful with hot water, this is hot water from the kettle. I've got two cups here,
I'm putting four cups in in total. We're just going to pour this in with our
jello and gelatine, beautiful smell of raspberry coming off of there and in
goes the second two cups. So that's four cups of hot water, pop my my whisk in
there. I want to dissolve all this jello up
until I get a nice clear liquid. Now this is a beautiful skull shaped baking mold
Now you can get these in plastic and I'll leave a link down below.
I think Wilton may have discontinued them but they still are for sale and
they are really, really well made. I've got an elastic band across there, that
will become apparent in a moment. Now keep stirring your jello until all
the little bits have dissolved and we don't want too many bubbles on the top.
Now I'm going to start with the back of the head I'm just going to pour this
thick, very thick jello into the mold. Now we've got a little over four cups, I'm
going to keep pouring that until it gets pretty close to the top. Now these are
little half ball cake molds as well that you can buy in the stores. What I'm going
to do with this is, we need to drop it into our jello. Now be careful that is
still a little bit hot and that's where the elastic band and these nice big
chopsticks or any piece of dowel will do. I'm going to pop a chopstick on here the
second chopstick about a couple of inches
from the other one and then we're going to push that in and sort of ease it under
the chopsticks. Now because there's nothing but air inside this bowl it's
going to push up a little bit hard, so what I'm going to do is just half fill it
with water, just to weigh it down until I feel that there's an equilibrium between
the buoyancy of this and the jello underneath and then I'm just going to
ease this into place and as the jello sets we're going to have this nice
little hole in the center of the head, where I can put my brains. Now with the
second half, the skull half, we've already got the chopsticks in place so I'm just
going to start filling this one up as well and then we want to move these
spheres. So I'm just going to hold the chopsticks, move them so they are
accurately in line with each other and a last little top up just to bring
it up to the near the top of the mold and we're going to leave these jello's
until they've completely set. You won't be able to move them while they're hot
like this but eventually you could probably pop them in the fridge and
they'll set a little faster. Now my skull jellies have set, I left them overnight
and when they were a little bit firmer I pop them into the fridge to chill up but
you can see they're pretty firm. I've taken that little bit of water out of
the spheres in there and now we've got the job, hopefully if this is firm enough,
trying to get the skulls out. Now I've got some silicone gloves here, they're
food safe, I'm wearing these just to protect the skull from fingerprints and
any of my nails snagging and breaking the skull. Now the chopsticks have done
their job so I'm just going to pull those out of there now, you can see even though
I topped the jello up it's actually sunk down. The first thing I want to do is get
these little Spheres out and what I'm going to do is just use my fingers just to
break the seal where the jello meets the sphere. I'm going to let the pressure of
gently lifting that up release away and yep I'm pretty pleased with that and
then just a little bit of upward pressure and those spheres are just
going to pop right out. So I've got that lovely little cavity which we're going
to be filling up with brains. Now the same thing around the edge of the skull,
if I just push it down and just break the seal around the edge. Now if you're
very careful and just make sure the complete perimeter of the jello has broken
away from the side of the mold and then hopefully with a little bit of
encouragement. Now one of them has come out that is the the back of the skull
and that's all nicely in one piece. I just popped that over there and out
comes the second half. Now we've got to fuse these two guys together a little
bit, about half a teaspoon of gelatine in some hot water, give it a little mix
through. Now almost against reason I'm going to lift the skull back up I'm going to
drop it back into the mold and I've got all these lovely gummy snakes which I'm
using as the brains and I want to pack them in to the cavity and then we've got
my gelatine glue here, a little silicon brush I'm just going to paint over the
surface of the front of the skull where it joins the back and then I'm going to
grab at the back of the skull, I've got this lovely sticky surface, line it up
with our worms, we want to drop it on top, give it a little wiggle to get it into
place. You might wonder why I took the front of the skull out and then put it
back in, it's to really release the tension from the actual mold itself so when this
sets hopefully, we'll be able to get this out. I want to set this for a good few
hours in the fridge to let that bind together. Now hopefully the skull is fused
together, it's time to get Hank out of a tank and this should be fairly simple.
Man he weighs an absolute ton I'm going to pop my hand on the back of the skull
turn it this way up and we're going to give this a good wiggle. whoa look at that,
that is absolutely beautiful, it's sealed nicely nice and tight, there's a seam
around the side. Doesn't he look absolutely gorgeous, we've got to thank Hank,
get a few more puns in. Here's a tip... don't take this outside to try and get
photographs because it will start to split in the heat I'm going to actually lay
Hank down, not sure which way, it's probably that way so he's sort of facing
up a little bit. You know what I can do we
because I've got a lot of these gummies here I'm just going to pop it under his
chin just to support the front of his head. I hope you've enjoyed this video
I'm going to have to restick Hank together I shouldn't have taken him out in the
garden, get him ready because this is going to go to my nephew for his
Halloween party. In the meantime and get these gloves off now, I hope you've
enjoyed the video, please share this with your friends on social media and we will
see you for some more great Halloween recipes on Steve's kitchen very shortly,
take care.

Withdrawing from Opiates | Chronic Pain Vlog - Duration: 6:47.
Can you see my boobs?
Hey guys, it's Mo here.
I'm going to flip this so I can't see myself.
Hey everyone it's mo here I wanted to film outside today because it's finally nice weather
it has felt way too hot for way too long but- this is Florida so it is understandable.
I just felt like I needed to be outside, I needed to be doing something.
So this is kind of like busy work because HBO and my laptop were not cutting it.
Everything seems kind of boring right now because my brain is freaking out.
um. because I'm withdrawing from my last opiate medication.
So on one hand that's nice I'll be off of all of the opiates.
However, I have to get off of them first!
And I've done it with other medications before, I think Lyrica was probably the worst one
to get off of honestly.
Be careful with Lyrica because it made me gain like 35 pounds and then a year or so
later when I got off of it- it was just hell.
It was awful.
Lyrica is a nerve pain medicine that is used for diabetic nerve pain and just peripheral
neuropathy in general.
So um, I was on gabapentin before that but the Lyrica did help better.
Even though it was mroe expensive, because that's just how it goes all the time.
All the damn time.
But I'm just trying to But I'm just trying to use medical cannabis and make sure my spinal
cord stimulator is charged because I let it die on accident the other night.
I just didn't feel like getting up and getting my charger and I kept putting it off and then
I ended up accidentally falling asleep because I took benadryl to sleep.
So I've gotten off of fentanyl, I've gotten off of regular nucynta, I've gotten off of
hydrocodone, tramadol, all at different times- not at the same time.
I've gotten off of a lot of medicines and transitioned to other medications and that's
definitely the trick, I never just go cold turkey "I'm getting off of all medications
and I'm just going to just-" or rather I don't do that anymore because when I was younger
I would try that and I would fail miserably and then not only cause a flare but I would
just feel so defeated that I couldn't do it.
But it wasn't my fault, my body is in a lot of pain and it takes a lot of pain management
and that is something I've come to accept a little bit more as I've gotten older but-
when you're a teenager on opiates for pain it's not- it's not ideal.
I definitely didn't want to be doing it uhhm.
So yes, I am using cannabis and that's- that always helps my pain but the opiates they're
definitely on a different level I think.
At least, the level of medications I've had (so far), like the medical cannabis vs a hydrocodone
or something.
A hydrocodone can definitely be more effective in certain ways but the side effects aren't
worth it.
At all.
And I believe that everyone should have access but it's just not the right choice for me.
So, I don't really have enough money to keep buying medical cannabis as much as I- my body-
feels it needs right now so that's been the tough part.
But I've just been trying to take as many baths as possible and drink a lot of hot tea
because my body will start to sweat and I'll start to get cold and then hot and then cold
and hot and I'll be nauseous and my whole brain will be just lit up with pain.
and my body gets achy and it's just really gross and not fun and I don't even like to
see people honestly when I'm going through this.
I know myself well enough now and I know the process well enough that I just-
I don't have the spoons to- to talk to anyone really.
People will ask like "are you okay??" and it's like "mmm...I mean yes.
but no."
So yeah that's- that's that.
I am probably going to go in soon because I'm sitting on a log.
Which um bad, bad spoonie practices, I should have brought my seat cushion.
I have about a bajillion of them in the house but you're getting this video because I didn't
prepare.
Because I just don't have the energy right now but I want to create stuff, I'm feeling
very stressed and emotional and in those times weirdly I'm drawn to work in this way with
creative things.
It is why I journal and I make collages and I do all of the weird quirky shit that I do.
It's just I need- I need to distract myself from my body and my pain and everything that
is happening right now.
I just need a distraction.
But I'm going to the beach again this weekend with my mom on a work trip for her but I'm
tagging along, so that's going to be really really fun and I hope you watch my next beach
video.
So, I'm going to go inside and make my fourth cup of tea of the day.
*sighs* It is the only thing that makes me feel semi alive or human right now.
I know I've been slouching this whole time but my back hurts.
Alright, bye guys.
Fighting!
Oh gosh, hmmm.
Getting up- getting up is going to be tough I didn't think of this, I should have brought
a cane.
Oh no.
You know when you've been sitting for awhile and you know the pain has been building up
and when you go to move it's all going to hit you.
That's what I'm doing right now.
Just gotta snap it.
One, two, three, *grunts*, fuck...yep.
There it is.
Wheeeew.

Church in the south end of the Old Town; followed by the Latin Cathedral (Лати́нський
собо́р - Katedra Łacińska), which sits in the southwest corner of Market Square;
and finally the Jesuit Church, where if you can believe it, we stumbled upon yet another

How I Learned to Cope With Stress When I Gave Up Alcohol - Duration: 6:35.
"I need a drink" has been my auto-reply to virtually all stressful occurrences in my
day-to-day life for about as long as I've been an adult.
To be honest, I can't pinpoint the exact moment I started chasing stress with alcohol.
But somewhere during the past decade, relieving college midterm stress with Bacardi Razz bled
into post-awful-day-at-work happy hours and finally, morphed into my current Friday night
tradition: holing up in my apartment with a bottle of wine to myself in an effort to
unwind from a long work week.
And my weekly de-stressing regimen isn't completely off base, alcohol does work as a catalyst
— at least in the short term.
"Alcohol acts as a depressant on the central nervous system, which leads to a number of
immediate, noticeable effects," explains clinical psychologist Dr. Lauren Wolfe.
"It slows your heart rate and breathing, which can result in a relaxed sensation.
We tend to lose our inhibitions when we drink, which decreases our worries and fears."

Over five million women in the United States drink in a way that threatens their health,
safety and general well-being.
As for the magic number of drinks that allow you to reap these stress-relieving benefits
without the negative effects, Dr. Wolfe says it varies from person to person based on factors
like our body weight and metabolism.
But somewhere past a few drinks, treating stress with alcohol does become detrimental.
"When our blood alcohol content increases, we become emotional — or more emotionally
unstable — as we experience impairments to memory and comprehension," Dr. Wolfe explains.
"This makes managing stress while intoxicated even more challenging than it already is when
we are clear-headed."
According to the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism, it's estimated that
5.3 million women in the United States "drink in a way that threatens their health, safety
and general well-being."
Meaning, they're frequently well over the CDC's recommended limit of one drink per day
— which shakes out to either 12 ounces of beer, 5 ounces of wine or 8 ounces of malt
alcohol.
Suffice it to say, being a stressed out woman who drowns her feelings in alcohol is not
unique.
In fact, a trip to any women's clothing store will make you feel like the habit actually
earns you street cred.
From t-shirts that define wine as a "hug in a glass" to graphic tees with pictures of
multiple cocktails dubbed "group therapy" to one I came across recently that straight
up stated "adulting requires alcohol," managing stress by knocking back a few cold ones is
not only considered the norm for women — it's celebrated.
So when I spent a month doing the Whole 30 diet and cutting out everything processed
from the menu — yes, alcohol included — you can bet I was met with groans from my girlfriends.
(Not to mention, fewer wardrobe options.)
But I did learn some valuable things about de-stressing without the help of a drink.
Here are a few of the activities I replaced my glass of wine with during my 30-day detox
that helped take the edge off my stress levels.
1.
TAKE A WALK
Bear with me here, because I know this one sounds like something out of a cheesy self-help
book.
When stuff hits the fan at work, my automatic reaction is to first take to Gchat, complain
to whoever's online and start making happy hour plans.
Second, I pay a visit to the office candy bowl.
Both of those options were off the table when a last minute deadline sprung up on me during
the first week of clean eating and sobriety.
Out of habit, I still sent out a flurry of angry "I NEED A DRINK" chats, and got halfway
to the office candy bowl before realizing that I couldn't have anything from it.
Since I was already in motion, I decided to keep walking, head outside and do the whole
"clear your head" thing.
And it worked.
"If you can get a break from what's stressing you out, take it," says Wolfe.
"Disengaging from a stressful situation even for just a few minutes can make it much more
manageable once you step back in."
To decompress after a few particularly challenging work days, I walked from my office in New
York City home to Queens.
Crossing the Queensboro gave me something to focus on without being able to completely
check out (bridge bikers are fearless and don't yield), which meant I couldn't fully
let my mind wander to the thing that was stressing me out in the first place, and instead had
to pay attention to my surroundings — both the rogue bikers and the scenic views of the
city skyline.
2.
SPEND TIME WITH YOUR PET
As a single cat mom, I do my best to spend as much time with my cat Nightmare as possible
— especially since it's just the two of us living together.
But not being home as often as I'd like to be for her does contribute to my stress levels,
to the point where I feel guilty staying out late at a happy hour when I know she's at
home waiting for me.
Research shows that playing with and petting animals decreases the production of cortisol.
Research shows that playing with and petting animals decreases the production of cortisol.
My sober month not only afforded me more time with my cat, but our playtime together started
to feel almost therapeutic — so much so that I made it a priority to come home and
spend at least thirty minutes every night unwinding by winding Nightmare up with her
favorite toys.
