Youtube daily report w Oct 13 2017

I'm kind of obsessed with this idea of connecting with consumers in the

attention economy right it's the new buzzword. We've gotten away from

omni-channel and all that it's a little bit overplayed but I love the

psychology of connecting with consumers in a more meaningful way and being able

to tell brands stories. Is it time to say bye-bye buzzword? Marketers at our GDS

CMO Insight summit tell us they're shifting their focus away from the usual

jargon to brand as experience. I look at the brand experience from virtual

reality kind of similarly to the way I look at experiential marketing. You're

just completely inside the experience so you're living whatever experience

the brand or content of creator is providing and so there's nothing more

immersive than that. VR, AR or all the other variations of immersive computing

that are now simply referred to as XR is less about the platform to communicate

with consumers and more about the experience marketers are looking to give

their customers in various industries from the obvious gaming applications but

also for retail and real estate. There is some data that I showed about what

consumers want to use VR for and number one was actually home furnishings and

home decor. All of them were actually over 50% you know in all these areas

consumers are excited to try immersive computing. So my new world is

real estate I'm moving from a more luxury fashion background into luxury

real estate and there's a Zaha Hadid building 520 West 28th in NYC and

they have created this all-encompassing environment that customers can walk into

where they actually have projected images of the building inside the sales

office. What's really exciting about VR is that you're immersed in the

experience, in some cases you're also getting to interact with the experience.

This is a way of really immersing people in and and communicating what it's going

to feel like to live there and that's the core of what they're trying to do.

There are real estate offices that are experimenting with this all over the

place they're looking at using virtual reality to you know if you're halfway

around the world and you're considering buying a luxury home in California for

example, they can send you a virtual tour and actually bring the home to you and

take you on a tour of the home on the other side of the world which i think is

fascinating. This is the next wave of computing and so I think that's really

the important thing to think about. I do think that it's just gonna get bigger

and bigger and bigger and there will be a day with like the way

we've moved a lot of our marketing to say mobile marketing we'll have moved a

lot of our marketing to virtual reality marketing or augmented reality marketing.

PALAVRAS QUE SIGNIFICAM O CONTRÁRIO EM INGLÊS! - Duration: 8:21.

Hey folks, what an incredible day!

You know that I'm not an English teacher.

I pretend to be an English teacher, you think I'm an English teacher,

Today I'm with five English teachers

and we're going to do a video about opposites, things that mean the opposite in English and Portuguese.

Wait a second, I like the visual better if...can you leave?

OK, now!

Sorry! Ulisses, introduce yourself and your channel.

Ulisses Carvalho, from Tecla SAP, it's a pleasure to be here with you.

Same here. Can I say "Same here"?

-You can. -Same here.

My pleasure.

I'm Jackie from the channel Ask Jackie.

I'm Sara Scarcelli from the channel English200Hours

I'm Allie from the channel Teacher Allie

Hey guys, I'm Rennie from the channel Rennie's Tips.

OK, let's start with these "convidados especiais," these special guests.

Now "convidados especiais" and "special guests" is exactly the same thing.

But now let's see some things that are the opposite of what you think, ok?

Rennie, are you ready to start?

Absolutely!

Wait a sec, "absolutely" means she is ready to start, or she isn't?

-Explain that. -Here we go, folks.

In Portuguese, "absolutamente" doesn't mean yes, but in English when you say "absolutely," it does.

So you can substitute...he said "Are you ready", and I said, "Yes, of course." So I said "Absolutely."

Which is not the same as "absolutely," right?

Now, if you want to say a negative, you say "Absolutely not."

And it's good to pause to add some suspense.

Absolutely...not, like "só que não" in Portuguese.

Next!

The next one is something that I, even having studied English for a long time,

I'm a teacher but always learning, and this confuses me, it's a word from hell.

I don't know if I can say that here.

I have no idea what it means so you can.

-Is it bad? -Jackie, you don't know either?

I was in the United States and I saw those doors with "PUSH" and I thought, I'm going to "PUXAR" (=PULL)

Look, I did this, I'm confused, it's "PULL".

Confusing.

I even did a video about it, because, people, "to push" is "empurrar".

Even in the delivery room, when doctors yell "PUSH! PUSH!"

That's great. You know, I have a very big nose, and it's because of that mistake.

I see "PUXE" and bam!

Next! Sara!

Something that can also be very confusing is the word "exquisite".

That food was exquisite.

Does that mean "esquisito"? The food is weird?

No, it's incredible!

When we say "exquisite" in English, it means it's incredible, magnificent.

-Super gourmet incredible. A hamburger will almost never be incredible.

It's something delicious, gourmet.

But we think it's "esquisito" in Portuguese, that's the difference.

I can't go to someone's house and think "That food was 'esquisita'!"

That would be offensive.

Yeah, I need to remember that.

OK, I'm going to do one. "I'm almost there."

"I'm almost there" in English means "I'm almost there."

In Portuguese, "I'm almost there" means "I'm not almost there, I'm still in bed,

"I'm almost at the car."

No, it means, "I'm waking up."

OK, now, let's "Ask Jackie".

Jackie, what's the next one?

OK, let's talk about the word "substitute".

Did I say that right?

Substitute. Wow, that's hard.

In Portuguese, for example, Bela Gil, she always gives those great examples.

For example, she says "You can substitute beef, from the barbecue, that delicious filet mignon, for a piece of watermelon."

How delicious! I want some right now.

But if in English you say "You can substitute beef for watermelon," you'll actually get the beef.

So in the United States, Bela Gil would be a big meat-eater.

Right, exactly. Translating literally, yes.

She wants the meat.

Let's do an example here.

So, question, if I "substitute water for juice," I end up with the water, or with juice?

With juice.

But in English, if I substitute water for juice...

"I stay with", no...

I have the water, I'm with the water...how do you say that in English?

I get the water.

Finally, Ulisses.

Liberal, the word liberal. It has opposite meanings.

In English, "liberal" is an adjective generally associated with the Democratic party.

More progressive ideas, more to the left on the political spectrum.

Neo-liberal or liberal in Portuguese is the opposite.

They're more ideas to the right on the spectrum.

It's true that in English you can say neoliberal, which means liberal in Brazil.

Exactly.

But no one knows that.

I didn't know!

If you see on the news, "I'm a neoliberal,"

half the country with think it's a Democrat, and the other half a Republican.

But in reality, neoliberal means "liberal" in Portuguese.

Neoliberal.

But if I'm here and I say "liberal" am I going to vote for Alckmin? Bolsonaro? The Workers Party?

We don't use "liberal" here a lot, in that sense, but I think it would be...

...more like neoliberal. You're right.

It's not really common, you would use progressive or conservative,

You could use left or right, socialist or social democracy, those are the parties along the spectrum.

But if you're in the US, and someone says they are liberal, that means they're on the left.

You can get confused. It's a Democrat.

Except that "Democrat" here is something else, the DEM party is on the right.

Exactly. The party names are confusing, on purpose, can we agree?

Now, I always say "Never talk about politics on the channel, and..."

OK, I hope you liked the video, careful in English with those opposites, thanks so much to all of you.

I think I'll "stay" here with Jackie and do another video.

What? You're going to hook up with Jackie? She's married!

Oh, it's the opposite, sorry! "To stay" with a girl here means I'm leaving to hook up with here.

"I'm going to stay here with Jackie" and film a video.

And I really am! So soon you'll see it on my channel

and on Ask Jackie. The two gringos.

Bye!!!

Paired Comparison Analysis: How to Weigh Up Options Based on Relative Importance - Duration: 2:11.

Decision making can be tough at the best of times.

But weighing up your options can be truly daunting when your priorities aren't clear,

your criteria are all very different, or you don't have hard data to hand.

This is when Paired Comparison Analysis can be useful.

There are six simple steps to follow, and you can use our downloadable worksheet to

make the process even easier.

Here's what to do.

Your first step is to list all of the options that you want to compare.

Give each option a letter – A, B, C, D, and so on – and write them in both the row

and the column headings on the worksheet.

Step 3 is to compare each row with each column and decide which of the two options is most

important.

Mark down the letter of the winning option for each pair.

Some cells are blocked out so that you can't compare an option with itself or repeat a

comparison that you've already made.

In Step 4, think about just how much more important your winning options are.

For example, give C a score of one if it is only slightly more important than A, but a

three if it's a lot more important.

Now, add up the scores for each option.

Compare your totals.

You should now have a clear picture of what your priorities are and which option you're

ready to choose.

You can find out more about Paired Comparison Analysis, and download the worksheet, in the

article that accompanies this video.

Not a Walk in the Park #4– "Change in the making" with Kerstin Cooley - Duration: 7:51.

I've never had a career plan.

I'm opportunistic.

I've always jumped on things that I've felt

were right for me at various points in time

which has brought me across a number of industries,

many different types of jobs and it has worked for me. And I every job I've had

has been more interesting and satisfying and fun than the previous one

and I hope that that's gonna continue.

Kerstin Cooley has been around money and investments throughout her career

From the Silicon Valley of the early nineties to the investment company she runs today.

What makes some ideas fly?

What should you as an entrepreneur think about?

And what does the future for the investment Industry hold?

Let's find out.

Kerstin Cooley's in the house.

And it's not a Walk in the Park

even though it takes place over a coffee.

Ok, coffee for you.

Tackar. Thanks.

So, these are exciting times for you as an investor.

What keeps you awake at night right now?

I was blessed with very good sleep. And I have a tendency to go to bed way too late in the evening so

as soon as I close my eyes, I fall asleep. However, if I

wouldn't be able to sleep it would be agonizing over our portfolio companies. There is always something.

A crisis to deal with, something I could have done more, a bunch of e-mails I have

not responded to, you know. Something happening. And do you find, has the investment business

changed at all, over the years that you've been part of it? The venture capital side or on the

capital side, or the the access to capital side,

a lot of things have changed. I mean the Swedish VC industry went through a really rough patch after

the last internet bubble. There were a lot of VC companies around and

most of them disappeared after 2000, so when we started Moor 5 Years ago there were basically

no one between the angels and a handful of big VC's

For the past two to three years we've seen a number of

investors popping up.

Both

more financial types and also

founders who have sold their businesses and decided to invest, and I think it's healthy to have

a good variety of of Investors in the market.

So, I mean, there are Super Angels, there's a bunch of new

Seed Funds, there's crowdsourcing, you know, there are much more means available to

Scandinavian founders now than there has been in the last ten years.

So as an Investor what are you looking for primarily today?

It's all about the people. They have to be super tenacious, hard-working,

a little delusional and crazy

to believe that they can do anything. And whatever hits them, just pick up and keep going.

So, as an entrepreneur

or a startup company, what do you have to think about when you approach investment?

I think that companies or founders should try and survive as long as possible bootstrapping.

You will be in a much better position

and have much more

much better negotiation power towards the Investor the longer you have made it

without taking in external capital. And lots of founders

see the investor as the magic bullet to scaling, but

investors

they require

fairly quick results, so you get less flexibility in trying things out as soon as you get them on board.

I would also scrutinize the investor as much as they scrutinize you,

so talk to their portfolio companies, find out

how they work with the companies, how helpful are they? And don't just go for the highest financial bid

You're gonna be in the same boat for a long time so you have to like each other, and have fun together.

That's very Important and then of course,

don't just don't accept

any terms

Try and negotiate and always try to have two parties in the mix of course. It makes you more

versatile in in having to give up on terms you don't like.

You have to work hard. I mean, you're never gonna to get around that, but

I think

today it is easier to raise money for an idea than ever before

and it's okay to be an entrepreneur today.

Well, can you give us some insider tips on what's not been touched yet, or a space to watch out for?

Well, one interesting space where things have not been done and that I think could be on the rise is GovTech.

It has the Potential to be as big as Fintech or HealthTech in my view

The US government alone spends

seven trillion dollars so, you know, if you can find small niches, I mean it's a space that Investors

typically have avoided because the sales cycles are very long and opaque

but there are startups dabbling there, showing that you know they can get

sales cycles down to maybe three months and you know it is possible to

to build a business so that that's one area for example where

there's lots of potential. It feels a little bit boring but there's lots to be done in it.

Another area of course is Artificial Intelligence,

the buzzword of the latest years.

it's almost annoying because it's in every pitch deck I see,

even though you know the company isn't really doing it, but the interesting part Is of course that

it will touch everything in the future so

it's gonna be mind-blowing, I mean,

we can't even comprehend how it's going to affect our lives in the future. It's gonna revolutionize everything,

and

autonomous vehicles is one subset of AI of course that is really going to happen and

we just don't know yet

we can't even comprehend how that will affect our lives.

So I think we will all be Investing in AI in the future.

Is there anything

that's stood out for you in your career, anyone or anything, that's made a huge difference?

Well, one person who have meant a lot to me of course is Kaj Hed.

I've worked with him many times over the over 20 years that we've known each other and

he almost believed more than myself in me

when I was a young hard-working fresh, employee

He has given me a lot of of big opportunities

and supported me along the way which has been very helpful.

I have never had a career plan.

I'm opportunistic.

You know, I've jumped on things that I have felt

were the right thing for me at various points in time, which has brought me across a number of industries,

many different types of jobs, and it has worked for me and every job I've had

has been more interesting and satisfying and fun than the previous one and I hope that that's going to continue.

I'm sure it will.

Listen, the coffee is finished.

So thanks a lot for taking the time.

Thank you.

you

My darling, open the window to see the beautiful day

And all I wanted was to talk to you

I still did not say what I'm feeling

I am silent while my soul cries

It makes you want to cry with her

I try to see you even today and I can not

My darling, do not do this to me

I was wrong, but I was trying to help you

If I do not look at you, my heart is lost

Without you, the heart will not beat Will take knockout

This I learned at the door of a bar

My darling, I'm singing you an gift

If you hear me, I'm glad

But what I really want is to hold you

Okay, I waited all this time. Now it does not matter waiting a day or an hour

Now I want to have you for me

This stitch can be worked with any yarn, so do not worry and vent your fantasy! ;)

I use crochet hook n. 3mm, but you have to use the one that fits your way of working and your yarn.

Let's get started! ;)

Multiple of 4 + 2

Initial loop

I start 16 ch (multiple of 4)

Add 2 ch

Now I work my usual row with sc, but you can also skip this step.

From 2nd ch, 1 sc in each ch.

Now start with crossed puff stitch.

1 ch, turn.

1 sc in first ch.

3 ch

1 puff stitch in same st

9 loops over the hook, close all together.

1 ch

Skip 3 ch

1 sc in next, and repeat the previous steps.

Finish with sc in last st.

This is result of first row.

3 ch, turn.

Make puff stitch in same st.

7 loops over the hook, close all together

1 ch

Make 1 sc in first ch of 3 below

3 ch

puff stitch in the space of 3 ch

9 loops over the hook, close all together

1 ch

Repeat the previous steps until the end row.

Follow the steps of the video to close the row.

1 ch, turn.

This is result of second row.

Make 1 sc in first ch of 3 below

3 ch

puff stitch in the space of 3 ch

9 loops over the hook, close all together

1 ch

and repeat the same steps throughout the row.

Close the row with sc in last st.

From this moment on, alternate row 2 and row 3.

This is the result after a few lines! Nice, right?

Dr Bernard Brom: Natural Products Don't Work Like Drugs - Duration: 1:42.

I think part of the problem we have today

is that people often think of

natural anti-inflammatories and drugs

which are used for inflammation in the

same kind of way, and that is a

problem not only with natural

anti-inflammatories but with natural products

right down the line.

Whether you talk about a natural anticancer

or a natural antibiotic,

there's often the kind of idea that we have

around this that these natural products

are working like drugs,

and it's a misconception I think which needs

to be understood much more clearly.

The fact is that any anti-inflammatory drug

is seriously toxic, I mean 20 000 Americans

die of anti-inflammatory poisoning

in America – they all end up in hospital

from bleeding ulcers – 100 000 end up

in hospital, 20 000 die. So,

there's an enormous amount of mortality and

morbidity from drugs for the simple reason

that drugs are powerful, seriously

powerful, and because they're powerful

they can have serious side effects.

Natural products on the other hand don't poison you,

you can take a whole lot of curcumin,

I'm sure you could probably

drink the whole container of

curcumin and you're not going to die,

you may get some diarrhoea, you may get some

mild side effects but it's not going to

kill you because it's not

strictly speaking a poison,

and you're not using curcumin for its poison effects.

Hi, what's up. It's Harumi.

I've got quite used to this "Brazilian time".

Now I even feel

it may be better this way.

Nowadays

I don't like to

schedule things.

I wasn't like this at all before.

I liked scheduling things perfectly

like from 9 to 11 I do this,

then at 11 do what..

everything in order.

Monday to Friday like that.

When my schedule book gets filled up with stuff

I go like "YES!".

I used to be like that but now..

Even the things for tomorrow..

I don't want to decide.

Schedule something on weekends

Brazilians don't even use the word "What time".

"Que horas"

I don't hear this phrase a lot in conversations..

When we have a meeting at the work

where has to be set the exact time

of course there exists a schedule.

But other than work..like on weekends and stuff

like "Let's have lunch together tomorrow!"

they don't really schedule the exact time the day before..

even on the day before!

So there is no way scheduling things a week,

two or three weeks..a month before!

A month before!? Impossible!!

Definitely we can't decide anything about in a month!

If you talk and try to plan something about in a month

people are not going to remember that.

So there is no use planning things.

Therefore we don't schedule!

The earliest..a couple of days before

you can mention

and try to decide details

and schedule..

People don't use

schedule book here

as much as Japanese people do.

A lot less..but actually

there isn't a lot of stuff

that has to be done in time.

The time goes by slowly here.

In Japan we have to get things done in the time that's scheduled

otherwise it can cause the rest,

whatever things that you may have to do, I think.

There may be other schedules..work..

whatever..you may have a TV program that you wanna watch..

There're so many things you have to do.

But here

as I always say

there's nothing to do in Cabo Frio.

Basically we never feel that we're

chased by something, thinking what to do next,

having to watch TV at what time..

Oh this TV thing reminded me of something.

When I'm watching TV

even though I personally don't watch TV a lot,

In Japan TV program always has

exact time to be air. Actually not only the hour but the minutes!

TV program starts at like 7:57.

Commercials on TV

It will be

after this program..

something like that..

It's not the time that they tell

but they say "It'll be this AFTER the news".

And then after the news it'll be that..

I've never heard the exact TIME of the program.

When you go to Rome, do as Romans do.

I have to get used in order to live here.

Because we're all surrounded by the environment like that.

Even if you live the way

trying to get things done

in time always

planning the way you want

first of all

nobody would help you.

And all the society is like that too.

Buses don't arrive in time.

Nothing works.

Nothing goes

the way that's planned.

That's why if you have bunch of plans

you can't do everything and YOU will get frustrated.

You'll be the one who gets nothing.

You'll be irritated by yourself

and no one understands you.

That's why you also

should live more relaxed

in that way

you get a better life here.

Appointment with Bruno

When we first stared going out

and one day

he said

well what did he say? I think he said "afternoon"

"I'll pick you up in the afternoon."

He said afternoon...so

it can be 1 o'clock the earliest

so I was up at 10

then got dressed

and wanted to be super ready

at least at 12:30,

so I was super ready

at 12:30.

Then I started to feel nervous..

But on that day the actual time

he showed up was 5 o'clock!

Sure it is still afternoon..but

I had to stay nervous till 5

being ready

not knowing what to do..

because I couldn't do anything important concentrated

expecting him to arrive anytime.

So in a result

for about 5 or 6 hours I was being nervous

and also started to be irritated

and my motivation was very low heat..

So that's what happened.

So after this

I found that I'll be the one who gets suffered

so after that day

when we promised something

I decided to start getting ready

when Bruno shows up.

I don't even take a shower

till he arrives,

get dressed..

Doing this way, he doesn't get stressed.

He waits for me. So I thought, well that's better then.

But so did I get used to this

right away then?

No, it wasn't that simple.

It took quite long.

It's really nowadays

that I feel comfortable being more laid back.

Numbers don't mean a lot.

If you promise something

with Brazilians at some exact time

for example let's say 3pm.

If, in Japan,

we are late like 5 minutes

it's considered to be late.

Before you arrive late you tell your friend

that you'll be late a bit.

This 'bit' is literally a bit but even a bit we tell people, normally.

It depends on people but generally we do.

We go like "sorry sorry sorry!"

Here..

half an hour late...

first of all it's not even

considered to be late. It's just 30 minutes.

At first when they set the time

it's just an aim.. 3 o'clock!

doesn't mean "3 o'clock" literally.

It's like 3pm = afternoon..

It's about 3....something like 3..3ish..

You can't be captured by this number 3

when they say 3.

You know what I mean..?

When you are invited to a birthday party or something

you CAN'T arrive on time.

Being a little late may be a good manner here.

Leave comments if you have anything to say.

and subscribe the channel!

It's almost 1000 subscribers!

Ok then. See ya!!!

S. Korea and China extend currency swap deal, but tensions over THAAD remain - Duration: 2:12.

South Korea and China are renewing their currency swap through 2020.

The decision comes past its expiry date.

Analysts believe the delayed response is mainly due to political considerations on Beijing's

part.

While it's a win-win for both sides, the extension isn't expected to thaw ties soured over the

missile defense upgrade, deemed a necessity for Seoul, perceived as a security threat

by China.

Lee Unshin has our top story.

South Korea and China's 56-billion U.S. dollar currency swap deal is here to stay.

After a few days of 'will they or won't they' following the agreement's expiration earlier

this week,...

Bank of Korea Governor Lee Ju-yeol and Finance Minister Kim Dong-yeon confirmed the extension

of the deal.

The agreement allows Seoul and Beijing to use their currency to buy U.S. dollars from

one another at a pre-determined rate, in cases of financial crisis.

The deal was initially signed back in 2009 for a 26 billion dollar currency swap, and

expanded to the current 56 billion in 2011.

While the latest renewal secures the deal for another 3 years and is expected to benefit

both sides economically,... pundits are rather skeptical about whether it will help ease

the tensions between the two countries over Korea's decision to install the THAAD anti-missile

system.

(Korean ) "Beijing has repeatedly denied imposing any

official measures against Seoul over the THAAD deployment.

And this currency swap between the two is a government-level agreement, so if China

had refused to extend the deal, it would've been interpreted as an official retaliatory

act from China.

So the deal's renewal was expected as Beijing doesn't have valid reasons not to sign an

extension, but it doesn't mean tensions over THAAD have softened."

Which means unofficial sanctions from Beijing towards Seoul over THAAD could continue for

the time being despite the successful renewal of the swap deal.

Industry sources estimate Korean companies suffered billions of dollars of losses from

such measures.

Beijing claims the missile defense system undermines its security interests,... while

Seoul and Washington insist the system is for defense purposes to counter North Korean

threats.

is ACCOUNTING A GOOD CAREER ?? / How Much MONEY can you MAKE as an ACCOUNTANT if that is your CAREER - Duration: 12:35.

cpa strength here back with another video this one's gonna be about as a

counting a good career what do you think about accounting and etc etc let's just

cut to the chase yes I think accounting is a great career to have when I got my

job at a CPA firm the my boss CPA said oh great you're an accountant you'll

never be out of work and I thought about it and I'm like yeah okay I don't know

yes yeah once I got my accounting to Gardner be out of work

I mean I've looked for jobs for a little bit but you know so yes I think you'll

you'll have a job and in the future in the future if you know I here's what I

think I think in the future you don't really know I mean I think a lot of

things are going towards the internet and and like people don't want to see

anybody like you know you order on Amazon and stuff so maybe you can't

predict like you know okay like if you got a if you have a blockbuster video

that's how to business right but there's new businesses that that are taking over

now like Amazon that wasn't there before so you don't really know possibly what

businesses are gonna be in in in our life of five years 10 years 15 20 years

down the road although whatever businesses are there

are gonna need an accountant so I believe you have job stability forever

and the long range now too and just think about do you know how many

accountants do know any accounts personally that have an accounting

degree from a four-year four-year university

do they have jobs are they unemployed do they seem to have a nice lifestyle just

all I'm saying I mean you know there's just there's different there's all kinds

of different things you can do with in accounting with an accounting license

and I wanted to get that that off the bat in the beginning - what I just

thought yeah it's a good career I'd say there's there's longevity in it because

you always need one there is a lot of things you can do with an accounting

degree alright I think number I think I just said the number one like the number

one thing is look at other people with an accounting degree and see how their

lifestyle is they're you know are they employed I think that's the most

important thing like is it a good degree to have wool I mean yeah it's fun

knowledge coming for me it's fun knowledge to have to know debits and

credits but I mean like if I was going to say you know a lot of people are

taking this in college right now taking accounting in college and wondering you

know is this a good major or they're taking they're just signing up or I

don't you know I'm just giving my two cents because but I am totally biased

because I'm an accountant I am a CPA so that you know if I didn't think it was

an awesome career well I would be doing something else so I mean I need to speak

for myself but I love it now that I've you know done for fast as I always get

ah you can't explain your video in in two minutes yeah I know but so I felt

like I explained I explained that let's see what's going on is accounting a good

profession yes yes it is Oh because basically we've had the same

accounting system like this double entry accounting system debits and credits

with assets draw withdraws expenses liabilities equity revenues all these

things that can be debits are credits and journal entries and balance sheets

tax return a balance sheet income statement and that's basically the whole

world has used like basically the same thing for 500 years the whole

world and I and I know this because I teach basic accounting for beginners to

pretty much the whole world on YouTube and it's changed my life and it's

amazing but I'm not even getting into that I'm just like I said a good

profession to have to be an accountant to say hey I'm an accountant you know

can you put food on the table yeah man yeah you can put food on the table when

people okay you're like yeah but how much can you make that's what everyone

always wants to do how much do you make how much meeting me I don't know why you

want to limit yourself like that like but but I understand where you're coming

from I understand where you're coming from I used to be like that too I want

to make a hundred thousand a year and I'll show everybody like okay buddy like

just do your thing but you know how easily the thing was ever an accounting

degree I don't really think there's a limit you know then then you could do to

be a CPA you can have your own business I don't think I I think you're gonna be

from Darin I think my first job was 26 thousand a year or something but then

like it got twisted I got a raise then it was like $14 an hour for a little bit

and then $16 an hour for a little bit and then and then it was $19 for a

little bit so like I just kept on getting raises at this place I was at it

was awesome and that was like my first job at a CPA firm I get I kept on

getting raises I believe you know because I was good worker but like the

last one it was like I got my CPA license and then I think but so that's

like the $19 is like 40 grand a year so that

it's not you know so I'd say you know you're gonna make 26 to decide say I

started at 26 but I was up to 40 within

you know two years and then if I didn't veer off and go to my own job I mean I

guess like her pride her probably went to somewhere else and make fifty sixty

seven you know I don't really think there's a limit on how much you can make

really with this accounting thing I mean I don't know I just don't even think

like that so for me to put a top at not it is not like even in my thing cuz I'm

like I ain't trying to ever do that to myself anymore I don't just scare people

off with it's hard I guess I try to make it seem like it's easy or like I don't

want to make it seem like it's easy I just want to make it seem like if you

practice and put your mind to something you can do anything and I think I know

it sounds cheesy but it just seems like in this day and age you can really will

yourself to anything like you're watching me right now that means you're

on the internet somehow I mean if you're watching me on the internet you can do

anything else and the internet another reason why I think that accounting is

gonna be a great field in the future only because whatever businesses survive

they're gonna need an accountant every business needs an accountant that's for

businesses and that's not even my favorite thing anymore oh and I run

payroll for companies too I have once I set everything up I have a lot of

software to do everything and but I know the debits and credits behind it where

no one else knows it so that all this is what I'm getting this is another thing

that I'm getting at is that you start you start being an accountant like what

anyways I start I started having my own business and who are my clients going to

be who are my clients going to be people with lots of money that are doing well

for themselves and they need someone to guide them with

tax this can be a money manager money planner you know what should I do they

want to trust somebody you know and so who do I spend most of my days who do I

spend most of my time with like rich people like millionaires like I'm not

even I'm not even really kidding like like I people make a quarter of a

million dollars a year or half a million a year and I'm like yeah what's our dog

I mean that's just how I roll and it's awesome so you know how it's like yo

when I when I used to be running them streets you know I used to be hanging

out with other people that was running in them streets and my life was getting

nowhere fast nowhere nowhere now I got an accounting degree I start you know so

it's like who's gonna use my services is people with a lot of money and that's

what I think is successful that's like my scorecard you know what I'm saying

cuz I'm not doing like sports I'm not trying to get it off the muscle anymore

you know cuz that you know I'm trying to get off the brain so off the brain the

scorecard for me is like how much money you have so these people are very

successful in my eyes and that's who I'm running with now with my accounting

degree whilst I think accounting is awesome because I think a lot more

people are getting off w-2s now alright so I think a lot I feel a lot more

people are getting 1099 like I get I get an ad Google Google sends me money every

month you know the but they don't take taxes I'm not like an employee of an

independent contractor for them they sent me a 1099 so I have to pay taxes on

my income at the end of the year what I'm getting at is I think it's like a

gig base and I think the world economy with the internet being what it is and

every I think the traditional nine-to-five job

like you're like you get a w-2 you just clock in somewhere clock out

I think that's getting I think it's going to go lower and lower as the years

progress and the gig economy and people getting 1099s and paying their taxes at

the end of the year it's going to be heavily increasing in the next 10 to 20

years I I'll be it and I just and and then when you're doing that now you're

paying self-employment tax and all the stuff and it will and so more and more

people will need an accountant Howard is now if you just get a w-2 and that's

what you do like you can just pretty much take a picture of your tax return

and you don't really need an accountant for anything like you know anyways this

is CPA strength I absolutely love doing this YouTube and man just try to be nice

to everybody be blessed be positive this is this this this kit if you're

struggling this can be a really awesome life I don't know I wake up every

morning and I'm just like not like yesterday I had to do some like

accounting work so I'm like Dorn CPA stuff I couldn't just YouTube all day

and I mean that is what it is it's like but anyways till tomorrow I love you

guys bye

EXPO REAL – Start-ups and Established - Duration: 2:47.

The real estate sector is considered safety-aware,

conservative and capital intensive.

For start-ups with new ideas,

the challenge is to attract attention from established companies.

This year, the Real Estate Innovation Network Forum at Expo Real

is offering a space for the first time

to highlight digitization and start-ups for the real estate industry.

If you ask what have start-ups contributed to the industry already,

then I would not refer so much to individual solutions,

but rather to the breaking down of old thinking structures and the more agile approach to problems.

So, looking at things from a different point of view - look at this, here is the technology,

couldn't you use it for this or that?

So, this more playful, experimental approach, and also the opening up the industry

for more collaborations

between the traditional players.

I believe this is much more important than the single result of any start up.

In collaboration, solution orientation and experimentation are

becoming increasingly important

for established companies in the future.

I think, for the real estate sector, I would still want more use of technology in start-ups.

An example of this is the block chain,

which is a fascinating technology with fascinating application possibilities for the industry,

and so far, I don't see much of this going on in Germany at all.

Yet former start-ups, which are now part of the established companies,

can inspire how to successfully implement their ideas.

Focus early on your product and on having a good adaption.

That customers use the tool and keep on using it.

Look closely at who uses it and why?

And why does he not use it?

Why is he choosing an alternative product or why does he still do it manually?

The Real Estate Innovation Forum at EXPO REAL

links start-ups and traditional companies to develop new solutions together.

So, that was a bit difficult to understand the industry a bit.

But going to events like this help us a lot to understand

and to network with the Real Estate Industry.

The level of decision makers at EXPO REAL is incredible.

The people, who can actually push the button, say yes, go, are here.

And that makes a big differents for us.

And REIN is facilitating it for us.

And offering the high quality environment and energy

is something we haven´t experienced before.

Energy Within Environmental Constraints: Air Pollution - Overview (HarvardX) - Duration: 2:07.

In this lecture, we focus most of our attention on air pollution

because that is, by far, the most important way in which the energy

system impacts human health today.

I'm going to talk you about some of the most important airborne pollutants--

the so-called criteria air pollutants as defined by the US Environmental

Protection Agency.

We can divide the list into two categories: direct pollutants

and secondary pollutants.

Lead, nitrogen oxides or NOx, sulfur dioxide or SOx, and carbon monoxide

are direct pollutants, in that they are emitted directly

from industrial activities-- primarily, the combustion of fossil fuels.

Ozone is a secondary air pollutant.

There is no significant direct emission of ozone.

Instead, ozone is formed in the atmosphere when

various other pollutants-- most importantly NOx--

react in the presence of sunlight.

Particulate matter falls into both categories.

Some particulate matter is emitted directly.

Think of the visible smoke one sees from a diesel truck.

But other particulate matter forms in the atmosphere from chemical reactions,

such as those involving NOx and SOx.

Let's start with the direct pollutants.

Lead used to be added to gasoline to improve combustion

in automotive engines.

It reduced preignition of the air-fuel mixture, called "knock".

However, lead is a potent neurotoxin.

Lead emissions from gasoline reduced the IQ of children growing up

in polluted cities.

This was no minor effect.

Lead levels were high enough in the 1970s

to reduce the average IQ of Americans who grew up then by five points.

Lead pollution has been greatly reduced due to stringent regulations that

banned its use in gasoline and restricted

use elsewhere across the economy.

The average lead levels in Americans' blood

has gone down by more than a factor of 10.

This is one of the many examples where environmental regulations have greatly

improved human welfare and have had a positive economic benefit that

greatly exceeded the direct cost of imposing the regulation.

The Tiny Shed Has Been Turned Into A Full-Functioning Home

The 14 x 28 deluxe playhouse package was purchased for just over $5,000

Not bad, considering the owners were able to fit in this full-functioning kitchen, complete with a double sink

Advertisement Seriously, it has more space than many city apartments

Unlike many tiny homes, this one has a separate shower, sink and toilet

And a double bed that is actually on ground level!

It's a bit of a tight fit, but the window makes up for it.

Advertisement Now it's time to head up the stairs. It's unbelievable that there are two levels in a place like this.

It's not a huge space, but the possibilities are endless. There's room for guests, hobbies, clothes or anything else that might strike a resident's fancy.
