hey you guys welcome to my channel or welcome back this video is part two to
my last one which was to address my texture video that people seemed to go
crazy about and also some of your comments questions and concerns so if
you haven't watched that video yet check that one out first and now this video is
how I plan to repair my hair moving forward the treatments that I'm going to
be doing the products I'm going to be using and how frequently I'm going to do
them so yeah your diet plays a huge role the amount of water you drink all of
that goes into hair it is literally not just about what you put on top that's
like I don't even know if that's half the battle I feel like it's 1/3 of the
battle everything else stress your diet the way you're taking care of yourself
contributes to it as well so make sure you're checking that part of your
lifestyle before you just try to focus on products but let's get into how I
plan to repair my hair the most important thing for me because like I've
talked about I have been neglecting my hair when I get really busy and stressed
consistency is what's going to change the game by consistency
I mean weekly I need to be washing or cleansing my hair I need to be deep
conditioning so I plan on washing my hair and
single Sunday that's pretty much like a wash day for me it probably is for you
too so every single Sunday I will be washing my hair now I might be using
shampoo I might be Co watching I might do a clay wash it all depends on what I
feel like my hair needs on that Sunday one thing I want you guys to do is pay
attention to your hair your hair is going to tell you a lot of things it's
going to tell you if you like the products you're using it's going to tell
you what it needs if it needs to be clarified if there's a lot of buildup
and your scalp is itchy you might need to shampoo with a clarifying shampoo but
if your hair seems pretty clean but you know it's been a week since you have
watched it maybe co-washing is what's for you so listen to your hair pay
attention to that and that will tell you what you should be doing so young girl
actually just followed me on Instagram the other day and was her Instagram like
I always do when someone follows me but she takes really good care of her hair
and one thing she does is she washes her hair twice a week or actually deep
conditions twice a week so I think that's what I'm gonna start doing I'm
gonna try it out and see how that works for me so Sunday's of course I'm going
to deep condition but I think Wednesdays I'm also going to depending on how my
hair feels again I'll either wash it or co wash it or maybe even water rinse
water wash it and and I will deep condition again on
Wednesdays so I'm gonna try that out because I have very dry hair I know a
lot of you experience that too so maybe deep conditioning twice a week
with oils and stuff will help you out and I'll probably make a video on that
and most of the things I'm going to talk about in this video so stay tuned for
those so my hair literally loves oils you can get ones that seal the moisture
in your hair and you can get ones that are great for scalp massages or pre-poo
treatments but I have this DIY hair growth oil mixture here it isn't
complete yet but I have oils like jojoba oil in here olive oil I also have wheat
germ oil in here and some other oils I also want to add like lavender oil maybe
some peppermint oil but I'm still trying to figure it out like I said but oil in
my scalp in my hair is a non-negotiable for me I have to do it I definitely owe
you my scalp and oil my hair when I'm styling it or on washday of course I
also like to add oils into my deep conditioner mixes so though I don't
always just like to get the deep conditioner out of the jar like the
store-bought one I actually like to put that in a separate Bowl like some of it
also add maybe another conditioner that I love some oils may be awful in this
amount oh they're juice and then make a mixture and that seems to really help
with the nutrients and the moisture I also have this herbal hair growth oil from
the daughter of Eve now the owner of this business actually sent me this oil
after she saw my botched haircut video and she was so sweet this one has
amazing oils like peppermint and you know the jojoba oils those typical ones
but she also has some secret oils in here as well check this out I'll leave
her Etsy shop in the description box oh it's like peppermint lavender is so
good it smells so all right so the main thing that is
wrong with my hair is just the lack of elasticity I also might have a protein
imbalance between protein and moisture the most recent one that I talked about
and I actually made a full tutorial video on it of how I was like trying to
repair my damaged curls and elasticity is the keratin two-minute Reconstructor
by Aphogee I'll just link to my whole hair care tips playlist in the
description box for you guys but this is a two-minute conditioner basically and
it's supposed to help with a protein balance in your hair it's supposed to
strengthen your strands now I did feel like my hair was strengthened after I
used this but I didn't particularly feel like my strands were a lot more elastic
there was some more elasticity but not a ton so what I did is I picked up the
apogee curlific texture treatment a lot of you guys recommended that I will
actually be making a video on this very soon I'm filming it tomorrow but you've
got to see it later so this is specifically for elasticity
both of these products say that you should use them weekly so what I'm going
to do is alternate between the two and I'm going to obviously see how my hair
is reacting and then every single week on two Sundays I might pre-poo but I
will definitely wash condition and then deep condition my hair so I'm going to
condition with one of these so on top of the protein treatment
going to be using products that specifically helpful in repairing that
protein moisture balance I have the alikay naturals lemongrass leave-in
conditioner and this has the essential oils out of there and silk amino acids
and they help promote moisture inside your cuticles I also have the Mielle
organics minty conditioner now this is a protein / moisture replenish and I
haven't tried this out yet I've had this for over a month maybe two months I
haven't tried it out yet because I promised you guys that I would make a
first impressions video on this deep conditioner and then the moisturizing
avocado hair milk so that video is still coming I'm trying to you know get these
videos out to you guys that I obviously can't deep conditioned everyday and film
the videos and waste the product because coins so the last thing that I'm going
to do that's kind of new for me and there are other things that I'm going to
do but it's DIY hair products I decided to make my own DIY flax seed gel I actually
use this and I'll put up on the screen maybe a clip of my hair but actually
define my curls really well and it left them really moisturized and shiny
somewhat you know I mean for my hair it was shinier than I usually have my hair
so that was really cool that I was able to make my own DIY flaxseed gel so that
was mad cool I also watched Whitney's video her aloe vera pre-poo treatment
I did that aloe vera is supposed to be good for elasticity as well and moisture
so I already have been using aloe vera juice in place of water when I spritz my
hair but now I'm making sure I can use that on wash day if I try to do a wash
and go and when I style my hair I'm spritzing it with aloe vera juice and
then I'm also gonna be using aloe vera from the plants I highly recommend if
your budget is down here I highly recommend DIY products and treatments
because they're easy on your pockets and your wallet but also when you're using
organic natural ingredients to make products you know exactly what is in
those products so that's also a bonus definitely give the video a thumbs up
and comment what you're going to be doing to repair your hair if that's your
goal check the description box for my hair care tips playlist and I'll see you
guys in my next video
