CGI History 1987 Mars Rover part 2 Ed Kramer, CGI Expert Wizard - Duration: 1:14.

In 1987 it was really exciting to be hired as a CGI artist by an engineering contractor

for the space program, NASA.

The ground here is mapped with images taken during the Viking mission in 1976.

We wrote code to make the vehicle read the height of the uneven ground and navigate over

the terrain.

Previous visualizations had been done by engineers, so they brought me in to add some filmmaking

touches, like these interesting camera angles and camera movement.

Wavefront had just introduced two incredible brand-new features.

One was the ability to "bump map" to give a surface texture, like on the vehicle here

and on the treads you see on these tires.

The other was this first crude implementation of shadows that were a result of objects blocking

a light source in the scene.

Pretty fundamental stuff today, but at the time it was amazingly cool!

This was done with the earliest version of Wavefront software, which eventually evolved

into Maya, a package I still use and teach in 2017, thirty years later!

5 Amazingly Terrifying Painted Faces - Horror Month 2017 - Day 19 - Duration: 3:23.

Geeky Gaming Hey Geeks, it's Andrea.

It is day 19 of Horror Month 2017.

Today we are going to take another look at some amazing and terrifying makeups.

Alright Geeks, let's go.

5.

Jordan Hanz - Love Sick Evil Mermaid This gorgeous makeup tells the story of a

mermaid that waited for love so long that barnacles attached themselves to her skin.

This makeup is so hauntingly beautiful and the contacts and accessories just take it

to the next level.

Mermaids are one of those disturbing and beautiful mythical creatures.

Many stories write them to be gorgeous and deadly, so that can be a pretty awesome combination.

This came out so well.

4.

Celli Nanni - Creepy Monster Halloween Face Painting

This makeup scares the hell out of me.

It could have something to do with the fact that it has a clown-ish look and clowns are

one of my worst fears, but that doesn't take away from just how creepy this makeup

is.

I feel like we have time and again established that there is just something incredibly unsettling

about a huge grin on a face.

This makeup includes those sharp looking teeth protruding out ready to eat your face.

Well that thought just killed my chances of sleeping tonight.

3.

Karolina Maria - Sewn Shut Mouth It's likely that whenever I ever do a Horror

Month video that shows amazing makeup jobs that I will have at least one graphic makeup

like this.

Simply because they scream Halloween.

This gruesome makeup job is gory and really well done.

The contrast of the bloody, sewn together lips with the nice clean eye makeup looks

damn good.

It might not be one you would enjoy wearing to a Halloween party, but it would sure look

good.

2.

Alex Faction - Straight Jacket Demon This demonic, skull-like makeup is freaking

amazing.

All of the shading and cracks in the bone painted in really show a lot of talent.

All of the makeup jobs on this list are done by talented people, of course.

I like that there is an extra row of teeth.

It isn't something you see common in horror-themed makeup and it helps fill out the face.

You could probably go back to a point I made earlier about large grins being terrifying.

This is definitely one of my favorite makeup jobs that I have seen in a while.

1.

ShelingMUA - Spider Makeup Most people I know have a fear of spiders.

I'm not going to sit here and say that I am one of them, but other people might call

me a liar if I say I'm not.

So what is more terrifying than a spider?

I would have to say a freaking giant spider.

Add some bloody fangs with those dead eyes and hollow mouth and try to sleep without

seeing this face in your nightmares.

Alright Geeks, that's going to do it for this video.

Thank you so much for hanging out with me today.

You know the drill at this point.

Links are in description, t shirt is limited time, subscribe, like, comment.

Alright Geeks, I will see you tomorrow.

Top 10 of the Biggest "WHAT IF" Scenarios in History - Duration: 15:00.

The world is full of "what ifs?"

What if JFK hadn't decided to go cruising through Dallas in an open-top car?

What if Gandhi had never got teed-off with the British Empire?

What if we'd been wearing pants that time the cops pulled us over?

That's the nature of things: we can never truly know.

But we sure as heck can speculate.

And, thankfully, Earth's long, long history has given us plenty to speculate about.

The following are all turning points in our planet's story where things could've easily

gone the other way.

Some are pretty big, and some are kinda small.

But they all have one thing in common.

Had things turned out differently, they would've all led to a world very different to the one

we live in today.

And, for once, we don't just mean one where our nickname at the station isn't "the

pantless DUI guy."

Ready to go delving into the murky world of alternative history?

You've come to the right place.

10.

The Nazis Finish Their V3 Supergun

"Nazi superweapon" is such an overused phrase that it's practically a collocation

(two or more words that are frequently used together as a single unit.

You're welcome).

Part of this fascination may be to do with the fact that none of them actually worked.

The V1 flying bombs were supposed to kill 100,000 Londoners a month, but instead killed

less than 10,000 total.

The V2 rockets were terrifying, but killed more people in their construction than they

did landing on Britain and Belgium.

The V3 could have changed all that.

A top secret Nazi supergun, it was only discovered when the Allies overran its bunker on the

north French coast.

The gun wasn't yet finished, but let's rewind history and imagine it had been.

Imagine the Allies – for whatever reason – didn't take northern France for a few

months longer.

What would the outcome be in this alternative reality?

Simple.

There would be no such thing as London.

The V3 could've rained one shell a minute onto the British capital, 24 hours a day,

7 days a week.

It wasn't designed to turn the war in Hitler's favor so much as ensure the Allies' only

reachable capital went down with him.

The Allies would likely still have won, but at the cost of the entirety of southern England,

and hundreds of thousands of UK civilian deaths.

Postwar Britain would've been an economic ruin.

Such poverty could've changed anything from how the Marshall Plan was allocated, to whether

Britain ever gave up India, to whether the UK today had representation on the UN Permanent

Security Council.

9.

Franz Ferdinand Isn't Assassinated (or survives)

The most-successful terrorist action of all time, Gavrilo Princip's assassination of

Archduke Franz Ferdinand in Sarajevo in June 1914 sparked off WWI, collapsed the Ottoman

and Austro-Hungarian Empires, created Yugoslavia which, in turn, created the Yugoslav wars

of the 1990s and everything from our understanding of "ethnic cleansing" to the modern states

of Serbia, Croatia, and Slovenia (among others).

But Princip's role in shaping the world was down to sheer fluke.

The original attempt on Franz Ferdinand failed, and it's totally conceivable the Archduke

could've fled Sarajevo, rather than waiting around awkwardly for Princip to assassinate

him.

If things had gone down that way, the world right now would be utterly unrecognizable.

In 2014, political scientist Richard Ned Lebow published a book with this exact premise.

His conclusions make jaw-dropping reading.

Without Sarajevo, you have no WWI.

Which means no Germany ready to elect Hitler, which means no WWII.

That means no Holocaust, which means no state of Israel or modern Middle East.

And that's just one tiny part of Lebow's book.

He also suggests the centuries-old Austro-Hungarian Empire would've not only continued, it would've

become a beacon of tolerance due to its multicultural population.

Without WWI, the Russian Revolution may not have succeeded, which means no Stalin, no

Eastern bloc, and no gulags.

It also means the European powers retain global dominance, rather than letting America rise

to the top.

8.

Carlos II Manages to Sire an Heir

The Spanish War of Succession is likely the reason you're reading this in English.

At the time it all kicked off (1701), Spain and France were the big superpowers in Western

Europe, and Britain was relegated merely to "rising star."

The subsequent 13 years of bitter fighting changed all that.

It completely knocked Spain out the running, damaged France's standing, and – most

important of all – left Britain as queen bee.

This had all sorts of crazy implications, from the fate of Spanish and British colonies

in the New World, to the reach of the Holy Roman Empire.

The reason it all happened?

Carlos II just couldn't make his junk work well enough to sire an heir.

At the time, the only acceptable way to become king or queen was to be born to a ruler and

inherit the title on their death.

You couldn't just hold a free vote on your next leader or anything dangerously-insane

like that.

This was a massive problem, as Carlos II was impotent.

Years of inbreeding in his family had left him a genetic basket-case.

But what if he'd managed to sire, say, a single son who was normal enough to survive

into adulthood and rule as a king?

Well, you'd be looking at a completely redrawn map of Europe for starters, plus a much more

Spanish-influenced New World.

Britain likely wouldn't have conquered half the world, with the result that English would

today be a much less dominant language.

7.

Bill Clinton's Defense Secretary Tells the Truth About Bombing North Korea

World changing "what ifs?"

don't all have to take place in the distant past.

Some can be much, much closer to home.

Such was the case in 1994, when Bill Clinton summoned Secretary of Defense William Perry

to brief him on the situation in North Korea.

At the time, there were worries about the North's nuclear program (some things never

change, huh?) and the possibility of an attack on South Korea.

Clinton wanted to know if the US could successfully take out the North's reactor at Yongbyon

without causing contamination.

Perry believed it could.

He also believed telling the President that would lead to Clinton authorizing a strike

which, in turn, would lead to total war on the Korean peninsula.

So he kept shtum.

Yongbyon wasn't bombed.

And modern East Asia was created.

A war on the Korean peninsula was later war gamed by the Pentagon to end in a minimum

of a million casualties.

300,000 North Korean shells would've levelled South Korea's capital, Seoul, in a single

hour.

Nearly as many US servicemen would've died as during the Vietnam War.

Given the way Vietnam shook up US culture and politics, it's hard to imagine Korea

II doing otherwise.

But the biggest effect would've been on Asia.

South Korea today is a regional economic powerhouse, not a bombed-out wasteland.

China would've had to deal with a US force right on its border, possibly leading to conflict.

On the other hand, there'd also be no Kim Jong-Un today developing a scary nuclear program.

6.

The Romans Win the Battle of Teutoburg Forest

They say a butterfly beating its wings in Ohio can cause a tornado in China (in which

case, we'd hate to see what our old frat-buddy's farts could do.

Yeesh).

Well, wait till you hear what a battle you've never heard of going the other way in 9 AD

could've done to the modern world.

Had the Romans won the Battle of Teutoburg Forest, the world as you know it simply wouldn't

exist.

For one thing, the English language would've never evolved.

The Battle of Teutoburg Forest was a hugely significant moment for Rome.

After Germanic tribes unexpectedly whupped three of Rome's mightiest legions, wiping

out 10 percent of the entire Roman army, the Empire gave up on conquering Northern Europe.

The Empire's boundaries were set, creating a divide in Europe you can still see today.

All that stuff about how southern Europeans (Spanish, Italians, French) have one attitude

to life, money and religion, while northern Europeans (Germans, Swedes, Danes) have another?

Yeah, that's Teutoburg talking, right there.

We can't stress enough how big the implications are.

If Rome beat those tribes and went on to conquer much of modern Germany, Germanic languages

would cease to exist, which means you'd be reading this in a Romance language.

It also means the social divides wouldn't be there for Martin Luther to get all worked

up about in 1517 and turbo-charge the schism between Catholicism and Protestantism.

So there's no 30 Years' War.

The whole Western world would remain Roman Catholic, affecting culture, art and science

in unimaginable ways.

All because some guys got jumped in a forest over 2,000 years ago.

5.

Japan Doesn't Bomb Pearl Harbor

Let's get the big, obvious bit out of the way.

Yes, an America that doesn't suffer the trauma of Pearl Harbor still enters WWII.

The Japanese were desperately in need of resources when they bombed Hawaii, that was their whole

rationale for going toe-to-toe with a much bigger country.

The problem was that most of those resources could only be found in US-administered places.

Had Pearl Harbor not happened, the US would've still gone to war in the Pacific after expansionist

Japan eventually invaded the Philippines or Guam or wherever.

The key word here is "eventually."

Prior to Pearl Harbor, the US public didn't want war.

Without the Japanese attack, the tide of opinion wouldn't have changed.

That means no American support for Britain and the USSR against Hitler.

And that means trouble.

Sure, by December 1941, the Brits were reasonably sure Germany wouldn't invade.

Sure, Hitler had already made his major mistake of invading Russia by then.

In short, the Third Reich was already doomed.

But it could've gone down in a completely different way.

In this scenario, the Brits are no more than support for the Russian bear as it slowly,

inexorably dismantles the Nazi state in a brutal battle of attrition that kills even

more than died in the real world.

Care to guess what Stalin would do after liberating Europe?

Yep, he'd likely take almost the whole lot for himself, creating a scenario where possibly

everywhere but Britain eventually falls behind the Iron Curtain.

The US, meanwhile, is isolated and no longer seen as the 20th Century's moral leader.

4.

Napoleon Doesn't Invade Russia

Sticking with megalomaniacs and foolish plans to invade Russia, let's look at the 19th

Century's most-foolish megalomaniac of all.

Napoleon was the most-feared military commander of his time.

By 1812, he'd single-handedly demolished the millennia-old Holy Roman Empire, brought

the Austrian Hapsburgs to their knees, completely isolated Britain from all continental trade,

and even forced the Russians to do exactly what he wanted them to do.

He seemed unstoppable.

And then, in 1812, he made one of the dumbest mistakes a military commander has ever made.

After Alexander I broke the trade embargo against Britain, the French general decided

to teach him a lesson.

He invaded Russia, setting into motion a chain of events that would see his army decimated

and humiliated, hundreds of thousands of French soldiers killed, a new European alliance rise

up against France, and Napoleon's ultimate defeat and exile.

Yeah, despite what you hear, it wasn't the British at Waterloo that took down Napoleon.

It was the insane losses the dictator suffered while attacking Russia, a tactic Hitler would

revisit over a century later, with similar results.

So, no invasion of Russia, and you have an invincible Napoleon who unites the whole of

Europe and molds it in his image.

The craziest part?

This could have easily happened.

The decision to invade Russia made no strategic sense, and was only taken to punish Alexander

I.

Had Napoleon let it slide, or chosen to, say, simply sack a single city in retaliation,

the world would be completely different.

3.

Rommel Isn't Absent During D-Day

Erwin Rommel was many things: a good strategist, a highly-decorated commander, and one of the

most influential people in the Third Reich who wasn't also a complete scumbag.

He should probably also be remembered for taking the worst-timed holiday in history.

In 1944, Rommel took time off from his position in occupied France to celebrate his wife's

birthday.

The more popular name for that auspicious date today?

D-Day.

That's right.

On June 5, 1944, Rommel dashed off to Germany for a quick liaison with his darling wife.

Twenty-four hours later, the Allies stormed the beaches, marking the beginning of the

end for Nazi domination of Europe.

While we can't know for certain how things would've gone if Rommel was there, we do

know that the remaining commanders were panicked and confused and completely screwed up the

German response.

A commander of one of the Panzer divisions later bitterly wrote: "If Rommel had been

with us instead of in Germany, he would have disregarded all orders and taken action – of

that we are convinced."

In the spirit of this article, let's imagine Rommel had been there.

Now let's imagine he mounts a successful defense, and the Allies find themselves experiencing

another Dunkirk.

What happens next?

Well, either Nazi dominance of Europe is ensured for even longer (maybe even giving the Germans

time to complete their V3 gun and bomb London flat), or maybe, just maybe, Rommel becomes

enough of a German hero to mount a successful coup against Hitler – something he had vaguely

discussed before with other officers.

So that's a good ending and a bad ending.

Hmm.

Which do you find more convincing?

2.

Marie Antoinette and Louis XVI Escape the French Revolution

The French Revolution of 1789-99 put a powder keg beneath old Europe and exploded it with

the force of a thousand atomic bombs.

Old certainties shattered.

Conditions fell into place that would see ancient empires swept away.

The way we look at the world was fundamentally changed.

While it would take some big changes to put the revolution back in its box, it could still

have had a completely different outcome.

One in which Louis XVI doesn't go to the guillotine, but instead escapes France to

inspire the monarchist forces from abroad.

In June 1791, Louis XVI was on the cusp of fleeing.

It had already been arranged for the king to be spirited away from Paris in a light

carriage, smuggled across the Belgian border, and delivered into the hands of a royalist

alliance.

The only reason this didn't happen?

Marie Antoinette insisted on going with him at the last minute.

This meant using a slower carriage, which meant they missed an important rendezvous

with loyal guards, which led to them being recognized and caught a mere 25 miles from

the border.

The rest, as they say, is history.

Say they had escaped.

It's not too hard to imagine an exiled king giving the royalist forces a rallying point.

At the very least, it's easy to see Louis sowing discord from exile, putting the ultimate

outcome of this turbulent time in doubt.

1.

9/11 is Foiled

9/11 is the most significant event to happen to the USA since Pearl Harbor.

The collapse of the Twin Towers and the murder of nearly 3,000 people in NYC, Washington

and Pennsylvania effected everyone who was alive to witness it on some deep, fundamental

level.

The intelligence failings that led to the attack's success are manifold, and perhaps

halting it simply wasn't possible.

But some, like former Clinton and Bush White House staffer Richard Clarke think there was

a chance in 2001 of 9/11 being averted.

Had that chance been taken, 2017 would look very, very different.

For one thing, Islamist terrorism wouldn't be nearly the issue it is today.

9/11 not only demonstrated the terrible capabilities of jihadists, it also inspired countless others

to set off bombs from Madrid, to London, to Paris.

Nor would the biggest Islamist terror group of all be around today: ISIS.

ISIS rose out of the invasion of Iraq, an invasion that was in part sparked by the traumas

of 9/11.

Without it, Saddam isn't toppled, the Iraqi government doesn't collapse, and the revolutionaries

don't ultimately morph into the most reviled terror group in history.

Mass surveillance, its powers boosted in the post-9/11 era, also doesn't become such

a huge thing, meaning no Edward Snowden revelations, and no NSA nosing through your every email.

And that's before we even get into the effect on culture.

A world without 9/11 is one where the USA still feels sure of itself, invincible.

That would be reflected in all the TV, movies and games surrounding us.

In short, it would be a very different place.

Top 10 Motivational Cycling Quotes - Duration: 4:11.

- Are you in need of some motivation

to swing your leg over the bike and get pedalling?

Well, here are 10 quotes from famous names the world over

that we think may just do the trick.

(dramatic, sweeping music)

- First up, triple Tour de France winner

and double world road race champion Greg LeMond

tells it just like it is.

"It never gets easier, you just go faster."

Well thanks very much for that, Greg.

But now, some very simple logic from Albert Einstein,

a very clever man, indeed.

"Life is like riding a bicycle.

In order to keep your balance, you must keep moving."

Well, thank you for that, Albert.

But now some uplifting words from Arthur Conan Doyle,

the creator of Sherlock Holmes no less.

"When the spirits are low,

when the day appears dark,

when work becomes monotonous,

when hope hardly seems worth having,

just mount a bicycle and go out for a spin down the road,

without thought on anything but the ride you are taking."

Just be a moment.

Right. And now some wise words from Kristin Armstrong,

three times Olympic gold medalist

and double world TT champion.

"Embrace your sweat.

It is your essence and your emancipation."

Right. Well next up, we have this from 50 Cent,

rapper and hip hop all-rounder,

speaking of the theft of his bike as a child.

"At that age, it's one of the worst things in the world

to wake up and not see your bike where you left it."

(tearful) Oh, Fi'ty, what are you doing to me?

Well now I've composed myself, how about this

from the Nobel Prize-winning novelist Ernest Hemingway,

who had this to say in his own inimitable style.

"It is by riding that bicycle that you learn

the contours of a country best,

since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them.

Thus you remember them as they actually are,

while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you,

and you have no such accurate remembrance,

of a country you have driven through,

as you gain by riding a bicycle."

Lovely words there from Ernest.

Now, Miguel Indurain, the softly spoken

five times consecutive winner of the Tour de France no less,

was rather glowing in his praise of sprinters.

"I'm fascinated by the sprinters.

They suffer so much during the race

just to get to the finish,

they hang on for dear life in the climbs,

but then in the final kilometres

they are transformed and do amazing things.

Now it's not their force per se that impresses me,

but rather the renaissance they experience.

Seeing them suffer throughout the race

only to be reborn in the final

is something for fascination."

High praise indeed.

Now comic genius Robin Williams was a real keen cyclist

and had an extensive collection of bikes.

And his motivation was simple.

"My favourite thing to do is to ride a bicycle.

I ride road bikes.

And for me, it's mobile meditation."

Il Campionissimo Fausto Coppi has these uncomplicated

albeit brief words of motivational advice.

"Ride a bike, ride a bike, ride a bike."

True that.

Now our last words of wisdom come from

the greatest cyclist of all time, Eddy Merckx.

"Ride as much or as little,

as long or as short as you feel.

But ride."

Well I hope you've enjoyed and been motivated

by a lot of those gems.

And I'm sure we've left a few out.

The Real Reason You Don't Hear From Elisabeth Hasselbeck Anymore - Duration: 4:42.

After finishing fourth on Survivor: The Australian Outback in 2001, Elisabeth Hasselbeck successfully

transitioned into show business — from The View in 2003, to Fox & Friends in 2014.

But despite landing major gigs in television, her career has been marred with controversy.

Since leaving Fox News in 2015, Hasselbeck has kept a low profile and has yet to return

to TV.

Here's the real reason you don't hear from her anymore.

Survivor

Hasselbeck made a fierce impression on Survivor Season 2, and as host Jeff Probst revealed

to HuffPost, "Every guy on the crew fell in love with her.

Every guy.

We watched this young girl mature into this fighting phenomenon, and everybody wanted

to date her.

They thought about marrying Elisabeth.

It was all in our fantasies."

Probst noted that the woman he remembers from Survivor isn't the same person making news

today.

He said of her politics, "I'm not saying I align with her, but I like that she does not

back down… she's compelling to watch.

You've got to give her that."

The View

Snagging the opportunity to transition from reality TV to one of daytime's biggest talk

shows, Hasselbeck's accomplishments were shrouded in controversy.

While co-hosting The View, she regularly butted heads with co-host Rosie O'Donnell, and those

differences of opinion regularly triggered shouting matches.

The most explosive moment went down on May 23, 2007 when the two went head-to-head over

the war in Iraq.

"Every time I defend my thoughts, it's poor little Elisabeth that I'm picking on."

"Do not call me a coward, because number 1 I sit here… and tell people exactly what I believe."

After ten minutes of debate, co-hosts Sherri Shepherd and Joy Behar walked off the set

— and O'Donnell quit The View soon after that fight, only returning in 2014.

Former Executive Producer Bill Geddie dubbed it "a horrible day to be in The View studios."

The real news

Hasselbeck often became the news thanks to her consistently controversial statements

on air, like while she reported on Sandra Bland in 2015.

Bland was a 28-year-old Texas woman who was pulled over by police for not using her turn

signal, taken into custody after refusing to put out her cigarette, and then found dead

in her jail cell three days later.

Hasselbeck said:

"There are times, I'm sure, someone has, in the history of this land, used a cigarette

against a police officer."

Many thought Hasselbeck was suggesting Bland was to blame for the outcome of her interaction

with police, but Hasselbeck tweeted: "I NEVER suggested Sandra Bland could have used a cigarette

as a weapon.

I asked whether it was wise to ask her to put it out.

StopTheLies."

From her coverage of the Black Lives Matter movement, to her tone while interviewing former

President Barack Obama, to her position on the sexual harassment allegations against

former Fox News CEO Roger Ailes, she had a knack for making waves and putting herself

in the spotlight.

Health scare

Hasselbeck briefly disappeared from hosting Fox & Friends in 2014.

She later revealed the reason, saying:

"I had a tumor in my abdomen...Doctor said, 'You've got to get it out by the end of the

month.

We don't like how it looks.'

I was facing something that potentially could have gone either way."

After a suspense-filled week, the TV personality discovered it was benign:

"thankfully, I had the blessing of it not being cancer."

But it's likely that her experience prompted her to reevaluate her priorities.

Farewell to FOX

After joining Fox & Friends in 2013, Hasselbeck bid a tearful goodbye on Dec. 22, 2015.

Following a touching video montage, she thanked everyone on her team, singling out Ailes for

giving her "the opportunity."

Her sign-off marked the end of her TV career, at least for now.

Hasselbeck revealed that she was hitting the brakes on her TV career to take on a, quote,

"new position as CBO, Chief Breakfast Officer."

She said, "I am entering into a season where I want to start my day with my children first...I

am confident that this personal decision is the right one for our family."

New gigs

Rather than tackling another daily talk show, Hasselbeck has been embracing one-off roles,

like hosting the K-LOVE Fan Awards organized by Christian radio station K-LOVE.

She told BREATHECast in 2015:

"When the spirit moves you, it's not like you can say no"

"I am thankful to be here with my family and let the kids see a big party for God, and

meet all my favorite artists."

Branding it

She may be spending more time with the fam, but that hasn't kept Hasselbeck from promoting

her own line of healthy, gluten-free snacks and supplements, called NoGii.

According to the brand's site, this "has been a total passion project for Elisabeth, from

being involved with the original logo and packaging design to product formulations.

With her family and friends as a focus group."

New Super Mario Bros. - 11 Years Later. - Duration: 15:10.

It's been eleven years since new super mario bros was released.

New Super Mario Bros was an incredible influential game.

It brought the super mario bros series back after a 13 year long break without a 2D mario

platformer, it sold incredibly well it is one of the 10 best selling video games of

all time and most importantly it revived the 2D platforming genre all on it's own.

In short, the game is one of the most influential games of it's time.

I remember playing it a decade ago and really enjoying it, but I haven't really touched

the game since.

So what I want to do for this video, is to revisit and to discuss this 11 year old game,

and to find out if it is still fun to play today.

So are you ready?

Let's He Go!

----------------------------------

Okay the game starts with a really short story section which is almost a little bit self

ironic.

So Mario goes on a walk with his beloved princess, when suddenly lightning strikes Peach's

Castle.

Mario goes to investigate this immediately, but while he is gone bowser jr. jumps out

of a bush and kidnaps princess peach.

And that's our story!

I honestly think that's the perfect story for a mario game.

Mario games simply aren't complex narratives that need a lot of storytelling to be enjoyable.

And most importantly, it only takes about a minute from the start of a new save file

until we are in the middle of the gameplay.

I really think it is important for platforming games that it is possible to open up a new

save file and to immediately jump into the action without having to go through 20 minutes

of useless cutscenes, and a lot of Mario games actually fail at doing this, so that's something

which I really like about this game right at the beginning.

So the first stage is an interesting bridge between the old and the new games.

At first glance this level looks like all first levels in 2D mario games looked up until

this point.

It's a grassy level, there is a yum yum mushroom, and there are a couple of goombas

and koopas which threaten marios health.

But once we hit this question block things change because this question block contains

the huge mushroom, one of the three new power ups.

This power up transforms Mario into a gigantic wreckful version of himself and allows him

to destroy whole stages.

That's actually a little bit funny since the level layout stays the same as it is expected

from a first level of a Mario game.

But instead of jumping through this level Mario runs through it like a wrecking ball

and destroys everything that enters his path.

That's a really interesting start for a game and a really funny way to communicate

that we are about to play a classic 2D mario game but

with a couple of twists.

The other two new power ups are the mini mushroom, which transforms mario into a super small

mini version of himself, allows him to go through very small corridors and gives him

a very fluttery jump.

And there is the blue shell suit, which transforms Mario into a plumbing koopa, and allows him

to use a koopa attack which is not only able to hurt koopas, but also destroys blocks when

hit from the side.

The other power ups are the traditional mushroom and fireflower.

There are a couple of things which I found very interesting when replaying the game for

this video regarding power ups.

First the super overpowered flight power up is missing.

Most Mario games had a power up which gave mario insane air movement, like the super

leaf, the propeller suit or the cape feather.

Such a power up is completely missing from nsmb which really surprised me when replaying

the game.

Secondly almost all levels only contain normal mushrooms and fire flowers.

While the later entries in the new super mario bros series usually build the levels around

the different power ups which are available in the specific stages, almost all levels

share the same power ups in nsmb.

This leads to two interesting things: First having a special power up like a koopa shell

or a mini mushroom feels really special.

These power ups are by far more valuable than they are in the later entries of the mario

bros series, and losing one feels really punishing, but finding one really rewarding.

On the other side it also forbids to design levels around the power ups found in the levels.

In new super mario bros u for example there are tons of starcoin puzzles and challenges

that can only be solved if mario ate the stage specific power up before.

That's not the case in this game.

The three star coins appear for the first time in this game as well.

Every stage has three of these super coins and they really help to create interesting

optional challenges and to make the stages feel less linear.

The starcoins are mainly used to unlock optional levels and toad houses on the world map.

Marios journey to save his beloved princess leads him through a total of eight worlds.

First he has to survive in the grassy plains of world one, followed by the dangerous world

2 desert, which is filled with dangerous enemies like pokeys, next he has to survive all the

challenges of world 3 which contains a lot of water and beach themed stages.

If mario defeated the boss of world 2 as mini mario his path leads him into the dangerous

swamp areas of world 4 instead, where he has to survive on top of wigglers while avoiding

poisoned water.

The fifth world contains mainly of slippery frozen levels and peaceful but dangerous snowy

mountains.

Depending on how our back then still a plumber defeated the world 5 boss he either has to

enter world 6 or seven afterwards.

The sixth world is a dangerous rocky mountain and home to the rocky wrenches which try to

make marios live a lot harder, and the seventh world takes place in the clouds and is the

home to the lakitus as well as a gigantic and huge abnormity of a wiggler.

The last world is filled with fire the home of bowser's castle and has a dark halloween

theme going on as well.

But how does it feel to control Mario through all these worlds?

Well surprisingly, mediocre.

So here's the thing the classic jumping and running in this game feels as great as

it always does in Mario games, but this game is also the first 2D Mario game with a wall

jump and a ground pound, and both felt awful to use to me.

It's a little bit hard to judge these controls and their timing for me because I played so

much new super mario bros U and Mario Maker that every game that has just slightly different

ground-pound or wall jump timings feels wrong to me.

So I wondered if there is some rational reason why these movement techs felt so much better

to use in the newer games and yes there is something really weird in nsmb.

First the wall-jump.

In the wii u entry of the series it's possible to wall-jump almost immediately when touching

a wall, but in the ds entry there is a really long and weird delay before a wall-jump becomes

possible.

It's really hard to say if the wall-jump in the wii u game is simply better implemented

and really feels easier to use or if I'm just so used to the quick wall-jump timing

of the wii u game that I always missed it in nsmb.

Anyway I found myself missing super easy wall jumps over and over again.

But I'm not sure if this is my or the game games fault.

Where I'm sure that it's the games fault is the ground-pound though.

I missed so many ground pounds which I wanted to make while playing the game and I really

didn't understand how it is possible to mess up ground pounds.

So I rebooted the wii U entry once again and tested what's going on.

So if you want to do a ground-pound in the wii u game all you have to do is to hit down

on the gamepad while in air and in my opinion that's how it should be.

You jump into a direction and while in air you decide to ground pound by hitting down

on the d-pad and there you go.

Surprisingly, this is not how ground pounds work in nsmb.

If you hold a direction button and jump and then in mid air hit the down button mario

won't do a ground-pound.

He'll do nothing.

The only way to do a ground-pound is to let go of the d-pad entirely, so that there is

no input for a moment, and then to hit down while still in air.

This felt like a really overcomplicated way to do a ground-pound to me, and I had a lot

of troubles getting fast ground-pounds to dodge obstacles.

These two things really annoyed me about the controls and movement of mario in nsmb, but

that's also a smaller problem than it might sound like.

The two moves aren't that hard to perform that you really would miss them in a setting

where the game really wants you to use them, but they are missable when you try to dodge

a dangerous enemy situation by using a really advanced wall-jump, ground-pound combo.

It's more of a problem for experienced players.

Other than that it feels as great as expected to navigate mario through all these wonderful

and colorful worlds.

The different worlds feel really distinct from each other, and this is something at

which the game really succeeds.

Not only the different worlds are really different, but each individual level feels completely

different from the one before.

Each stage is designed around a new unique gimmick and has a unique charm to it.

This is probably the greatest strength of the game.

I was always curious which new and crazy gimmicks the game will throw into my path in the next

stage, and the game is capable to surprise mario from the first stage up to the very

last one.

While the game really succeeds at a lot of things which should later become staples in

the New Super Mario Bros series there are also a couple of things which aren't really

developed yet.

The checkpoint system for example is really weird in this game.

instead of having a checkpoint flag which when touched, becomes the checkpoint the checkpoints

are invisible in this installment and it's often really unclear when a checkpoint is

triggered and where the checkpoints are placed.

Some stages even have no checkpoints at all.

It's not really a big deal when playing the game, but this is something which is really

noticeable when playing the game after playing the wii and wii u installments.

What is also interesting is that the world themes and structures which all later entries

should use are already established in this game.

Mario has to survive a couple of levels before defeating a boss in the small castle.

Afterwards he has to survive even more different stages before defeating the world boss and

moving on.

These boss fights are really disappointing and among the best ones in the series.

Here is what I mean.

Every small castle features the same boss fight against bowser jr. and these fights

become really old really fast.

While the arena is always a little bit different and bowser jr learns new moves in every world

the fight stays basically the same and becomes a little bit boring.

Meanwhile the final word bosses are really cool and among the coolest in the series.

There is a gigantic goomba, the koopa king himself, a crazy monty mole in a tank and

Petey Piranha.

By the way at the start of the petey piranha boss fight bowser jr. does something really

interesting.

He jumps on top of his own creature in order to show mario how to damage this boss.

Teaching certain game concepts by having the enemies do them first is one of the oldest

game design tricks and new super mario bros does this dozens of times.

But back to the boss fights.

All these boss fights are really great, especially for an eleven year old game, but none of them

is a really hard challenge for mario.

The whole game is rather easy and not very challenging, with the exception of the eighth

world where the difficulty suddenly really spikes.

I saw my first game over screen when replaying the game for this video in the small castle

in world eight, but then I made it through a couple more before beating the game.

This entry in the nsmb series is probably the easiest one, but this is something I'm

personally fine with.

I don't play mario games for their insane challenge, mario games are more about unique

ideas, this fantastic colorful world, exploration and small but memorable moments for me, than

about beating insanely challenging stages.

And there are tons of unique and surprising ideas in this game!

There are switches which transform the sand, evil possessed platforms which try to get

rid of our poor plumber, crushing whomps, gigantic wigglers and horrific eels.

There are tons of ideas taken out of old mario games, and even more new ones.

This is where the game really shines and where the insane charme of this game lies.

One level that I enjoyed exceptionally much is 8-6.

There is so much cool stuff going on here.

Mario has to escape a volcano.

There is rising lava at the bottom which threatens to burn him, meanwhile it is possible to scroll

through the sides of the stage which creates a couple of interesting challenges, then there

are these really cool spin-jump platforms which catapult mario high into the air.

There are pipes which shoot plumbers and then there are some small throwbacks to the original

mario bros.

This part in specific reminded me a lot of mario's first plumbing job.

And all of this in front of this beautiful lava setting.

This level is really exceptional and shows where the magic of this game lies.

In all the different and crazy surprising things it throws at you without an end.

There are also a couple of staples of mario games missing here.

There are no illusionary walls, yoshi doesn't make an appearance and weirdly enough there

are almost no small puzzles, which appear so often in the later entries.

What is also not present in this game, but in almost every mario game afterwards is some

sort of super easy mode.

Maybe this is why the game never gets really difficult, since nintendo maybe was worried

that the game otherwise becomes unplayable for less experienced players.

The other entries in the new super mario series usually have such a feature, but also are

a little bit more difficult.

At least I remember them as more difficult.

Anyway.

Once Mario defeated all of bowser's evil bosses and survived all the dangerous worlds, he

finally makes it into bowser's castle.

The last level features a really cool and unique flip the stage mechanic and is one

of the very few real challenges for mario in this game.

And then he faces bowser a second time.

Bowser jr. kept bowsers remains and throws them into a magical kettle which resurrects

the koopa king, since this is how resurrection works in the mushroom kingdom.

Now Mario faces both bowsers at once, and has to hit the switch behind them to finally

save his princess and to end the game.

New Super Mario Bros. is a really interesting game.

It revived the 2D platforming genre all on it's own, and brought the 2D mario series

into the 21st century.

The game is in the top 10 of the best selling video games of all time, and made other studios

release that there is still a huge interest in 2D platforming games.

The game isn't as original and polished as its successors, but it acts as a bridge

between the old and the new super mario games, sold incredibly well, is probably one of the

most influential games of it's time and still a ton of fun to play eleven years after

it's release.

Thanks for watching this little video, I hope you enjoyed it, if you enjoyed it don't

forget to leave me a thumbs up and maybe you feel especially 2D today and want to hit the

subscribe button as well.

I hope that you have a wonderful day and to see you soon.

Goodbye!

What if JFK hadn't decided to go cruising through Dallas in an open-top car?

What if Gandhi had never got teed-off with the British Empire?

That's the nature of things: we can never truly know.

Some are pretty big, and some are kinda small.

But they all have one thing in common.

It also means the European powers retain global dominance, rather than letting America rise

to the top.

Serio?! Jak to? Niemozliwe! Q&A part 2! [Sub Eng] - Duration: 16:24.

Are your afraid of losing strength wars final against Anabolic Horse?

I'm going to win. Am I afraid? I will do my job, but it's sport so everything can happen

I can get an injury, someone can be better than me in some part competition, exercise, it's normal

So, am I afraid? No I'm doing what I supposed to do, I don't think about win or lose... Ok, I'm thinking about my win and just doing anything to win

I will start the hard workout soon, I will start training as if I was going to take part in the powerlifting world championship and it will be a new faceless, different faceless

soon you will see even better Faceless, it will be training lvl hard.

I prefer you to start with increasing training frequency, you have to train often, 2,3 times in week but some lifters train chest even 5 times a week.

You can do it naturally, low repetitions increases volume, itís a key, and of course weak points analysis.

In which area you are weaker, where is problem with your bench press and then adapt accessory exercises to it

But to precise it, where exactly problem is, it need individual check.

Can I do low bar squat on training? Because my personal trainer told me, it's better to do high bar squats daily and low bar only for my max.

You can do low bar squat always, someone have better predisposition for low bar, second one for high bar

You know, high bar is easier to master but if you are train for powerlifting you can set low bar squat as your priority

U don't need to do low bar in every stage of your training, high bar can also increase your strength In low bar.

You just need to introduce them early enough

Doing only low bar squat is allowed also doing high bar only as accessory exercise

If you are doing high bar only and then go max rep on low bar, your low bar can be weaker, because of movement adaptation for high bar

It was some time ago, I can't get ready for it, i don't have any equipment, I've got.. only as I remember, bar 90kg x 15 reps from the ground over head,

this was not a problem

Front squats wasn't problem also, Iím doing it my entire life, next exercise was the tire, and I've got a lot heavier and different than on SW parkour

And a clock, this was a novelty for me, I have to learn that at last, I don't have a truck also so I can't prepared for this

Basically I didn't prepared for this parkour, I just did my job, I arrived to warm-up and it was all about technique, how to catch clock bar and it was it

I've got a question, sound like a "question stupid muscleman". What school gives.. (by the meaning of sport)?

A knowledge.. I I think you mean school like a Academy of Physical Education, most of lectures are simply theoretical linked with anatomy, medicine and physiology, biochemistry, biomechanics

It's a lot of subjects and there aren't t easy. Try to ask an opinion one of the students how it looks like

In that you will get a knowledge and your experience gained through the time will be based on your knowledge

That means you will not believe in everything. For example, you will read a book which contain information about eatings 100g of vitamin C heal the cancer

So you will know this is a bullshit, knowledge let you come with reserve for many things, and also let you take experience accurately, not based on mythology as many bodybuilders for example

How to cooperate with me, and what is the conditions?

At first. If you want to start work with me check the description below video, you've got e-mail to contact with me, write no matter you are from abroad or from Poland, everyone can work with me

I've got clients from around the world

In description you've got also a discount codes for GN, Gigas Nutrition products and the Faceless t-shirt so get in to buy and support me and my channel

How u see, my channel is developed

About work with me, clients are coming to visit with me personally or going to physiotherapist for structural tests or we are analyzing them by the footage and videos

With that i can do for you personal plan, not crl C + crl V, for more ask me by e-mail located in the video description below

Are you other than happy sometimes? Did you ever been nervous or angry?

Very rarely, my wife can be a witness here, I'm happy every day

I'm pissed off when I see roadhog who's breaking road rules constantly

Because he is a killer in the car, I can't tolerate this

Secondly, I don't like group trainings or duo with someone, I'd like to focus on training, breaks regularity, professionalism trening, i love that

I don't like when someone disturbing me with my training , so I'm not train with friends, even my wife know that Iíd like to train by myself and she isn't disturbing me

I don't see other reasons. Micro-problems aren't a problems.

In my opinion is to go into life with reserve and don't bother with little or even big things. Now they are big and after 2 years you will be laugh for it

When is your birthday? - 16 December

Yes.

Batman is better for sure, but especially Trump, he got a lot of money so he can buy me and I can lose

Could I beat Klokov?

If there is a possibility to fit exercises "for me", or universal exercises it could be interesting.. This could be very exciting battle, I'm not sure that I could beat him

But in weightlifting I would fail miserably

For first I can't weightlift, secondly i fall behind in weightlifting is so huge that I have no way to catch up

When it comes for Brad Martyn, I don't know, I have no idea, I don't know his records, I can't say anything, I know his personality but his strength and endurance potential is unknown for me

What is good for stagnation? Should I change amount of exercises and reps for a time? What you think about belt on training

About stagnation, it's real hard for stagnation being amateur. If already its resultus to the training errors rarely with diet. Because diet is just an addition for training other than bodybuilders thinks

Bodybuilders train based on high amount of dope. When it comes to stagnation, as I said analyze training and weak points

Try to implement sensible periodization and it's hard about stagnation. You have to practice very long time

The second thing is a technique, you have to analyze it, technical mistakes can also be a reason of your stagnation

What do you think about using belt, mostly in deadlift and squats?

If we are talking about amateur training you don't need a belt. Unless If you are going for your max and you will break a technique, or you have a lot of repetitions

High amount of reps with heavy weight need precision, perfect technique when you are tired you should wear a belt in this kind of situations

But, using belt very often without reason is bad because it weaken your core and "all stomach muscle" we are becoming weaker, and secondly its highly injureable in longer periods of time

So you have to strike a balance and know when to use it properly

But if you are powerlifter, belt can bring you some kilograms to your result, and you should use it. If you got less stability you have the more useful belt

And your better stability vice versa, so if you see a powerlifter without belt you can be sure train without it do not translate to results for him

Belt can even disturb him and being a handicap for his comfortable movement in particular exercise

Firstly, my endurance is weak currently comparing to past. I don't need to train for endurance now,

My maximum strength is so high that that all kind of exercises don't make a trouble for me

The key is to don't got pump yourself, do not maximize your repetitions because your biochemistry, your muscles need rest, and this is wasting time

My endurance now is not good, it can be but I need some time, you will see this in to the battles when I will just pass through stages without tired. I can do that and i wanna show that in December

I can train myself without any trouble, I only need to will. I'm 32y in December and many triumphs in many disciplines. But laziness and lack of mobilization caught me up, it's normal

But when event is coming up, then I become a real, serious sportsman which want to train and win again, so there is no way out now, I have to prepare perfectly for the final SW

In one of the videos from 2016 about your plans for 2017 you said I want to start in strongman competition.

Yes, I want to start in strongman, but at this point SW is more important and it will be, and

But I wanna take part to competition strongmanm (without preparation) because a lot of exercises in SW comes from strongman, and I wanted to check and train them

Secondly I have to take it easy and avoid risky challenges

I can't burden my elbow that way, it's dangerous for me and there is a lot of similar to overhead press exercises in strongman that's why I need to look out for it,

Because my target is to win whole Strength Wars competition, not to hurt myself by starts in other league strongman, I will consider this in future it will be depend from my elbow condition

So whatís the point to go for strongman and finish 7 exercises for example when I win, and lose 3 only because I cannot pass them by my elbow injury

Sooner in classic deadlift, not in sumo because I have to care about my whole left leg, actually from top to bottom

because i have a big disproportion between left and right leg, for example left leg is doing 340-350kg - this is her potential

And my right leg is doing 370-390 kg, for example I'm doing leg extensions and I can do 50kg x 10 with right leg and only 40kg x 5 with my left leg

That's when I'm going for 340-350kg in sumo deadlift my left leg is "clicking", so I have to be careful because breaking biceps femoris means end of a career

So I'm not going for my max in sumo, I used to do more repetitions usually, but my potential is a lot bigger

At 340-350kg my head is turning on and I'm more afraid to lift that, thats a big handicap which do not allow me to go for more

But in classic deadlift, pain is lower, almost do not exist, it appears maybe at super high weights, so maybe I will attack records in classic deadlift next year

After I will heal my disproportion between this two legs so I will be able to step on higher level - +370kg

Miracles of Mystery School II: Sunny Dasgupta - Duration: 13:16.

Our next guest is Sunny Dasgupta.

He is the Chief Knowledge Officer for Dr. Pillai's Group of Companies here in India.

Sunny, welcome to our show today.

Sunny: Hi Mohini, I trust you can hear me.

Mohini: Yeah, you sound good.

So Sunny you have been so fortunate to have found Dr. Pillai's teachings at a very young

age. and it has really shaped a truly extraordinarily life path for you.

Can you share your story with us?

Sunny: Ah, yes.

I consider myself really fortunate because I started at the age of 13, following Dr.

Pillai's teachings and still I journaled my experiences within those days.

In those times, Dr. Pillai's teachings helped me really with…

I was not…

I had travelled overseas to a new country and I was facing challenges with making friends.

For example, during that time these teachings really helped me, even in my academics I excelled

a lot because of the teachings I had from Dr. Pillai at that time.

And later I was fortunate at the age of maybe 18, I met Dr. Pillai in India.

That was a life changing time and also a few years later, I started, I was part of his

One Year Programs for about four or five years now, and what I want to share is that it changed

my life both spiritually, and materially as well.

Spiritually, for example we all talk about and want to experience miracles in our life.

I have experienced miracles.

I was working as an Engineer in a company in Mumbai at that time, but it was IT job,

but I was mostly into Software Engineering as well as working with hardware manufacturers,

and developing solutions for them.

But my life did not seem very fulfilled because, you know, I always wanted to make a difference

to difference in the lives of people and that kind of job did not give me opportunities

for that.

And I remember I was in the Light Body Enhanced Program and there was a Module called Time

Line Jumping and I said, "I have to change my Timeline.

This is not the Timeline that I want."

So I started increasing my daily practices, and I set a goal for myself that within a

month, and I wrote down a goal, I still have it.

What I wrote down, my goal was saying" "I want to, without any effort, attract the best

possible job for myself."

Because at that time I did not even know what to do next, what kind of career path to choose.

I was really…

I just wanted to get out of my present job because it was not helping me out.

I could not see myself in 5 years, 10 years in this kind of work.

I had no idea what kind of new challenging job I should seek, or work I should seek.

And I did it for one month, and I remember on the 20th day, I was thinking I have been

doing this for 20 days, you now, 3 times a day, and no job opportunity has come.

And at that time I started thinking, well I haven't applied for any job opportunities

as well, but then I just continued on and then on the 30th day, I had given up all hope

and then in the evening I got an email from Dr. Pillai's organization, inviting me to

a meeting in Chennai.

So I was curious, and I went down there, and that's when I was, you now, offered a job

for Dr. Pillai, and basically to work on the Phonemic Intelligence Program, which is for

changing the brain, the intelligence, and the lives of children.

So what I do now is mostly, my work is to spread Phonemic Intelligence in schools in

India and that's what I have been doing for the past few years.

Now in terms of spiritual miracles, so I just shared with you that I found work which really

challenges me, which really excites me every day which really gives me a sense of meaning

and purpose.

And at the same my financial life and material comforts, because of this transition and lot

of other blessings that have come in my way, have significantly, I would say, have improved

3 - 4 times.

So I am living a much more comfortable life, I don't have financial struggle that I used

to have.

So I am blessed in lot of financial and material ways.

So my life has not only become more meaningful, but more materially comfortable as well.

And in terms of spirituality, Dr. Pillai's teachings in general and then these four years

of, you know, of being in these One Year Programs has really widened my mind.

For example, I'll give an example, I have, you know, Dr. Pillai has been teaching about

different Archetypes, and I have had encounters with some of these Archetypes.

And, you know, if you had told me 10 years ago, I was following Dr. Pillai but I would

have been able to directly encounter them, not only encounter them, but to have a kind

of conversation with them, and to be able to understand what they are saying to me,

and to be able to talk with them, Gods, Goddesses, and Angels, it would have been, I would have

wanted that, but I would not know if that was actually possible for me.

But that has, you know, thanks to Dr. Pillai, really in my life I think the greatest achievement

of the greatest miracle in my life is to have one- on- one interaction with Angels or Archetypes

of Divine Beings and there has totally changed my life.

Because it has totally changed my belief system about life, and I have seen Healing Miracles

happen to me and through me to other people, Financial Miracles in the lives of people

whom I, because I started coaching a lot of people, including, you know, Top Corporate

Executives, including people who are in Politics , who are in Business, and all kind of people.

That was also blessing from Dr. Pillai to do that kind of, you know, Spiritual Coaching,

but that has a direct impact on the material, emotional, physical life of the person.

So I have seen healings happen with my own hands, which my own hand has been able to

help people, and that to me is something that has expanded my mind that, you know, that

such a miracle is possible.

For example, Omniscience at least in the context of I have done work where because of the help

of a particular Archetype like Karuppasamy, I was able to know the problem of a person,

or you know, the list of problems that they have without them even mentioning anything

to me.

So without me asking a person, with the help of this Archetype, I am able to know what

their problems are.

And with such precision, with such accuracy, which is I don't know how it is possible,

but this is really the Divine Mind that's why, you know, I am very excited about the

New Program where Dr. Pillai is going to give an exclusive focus on these Archetypes, and

help us connect more with them.

So in my experience these Archetypes can do Financial Miracles not only in your lives

or my in life, but in the lives of people with whom we interact, whom we care about.

And they will be able to give a better intelligence like for example, you are dealing with, I

have dealt with financial problems, when I used to deal with a complex situation in my

work, and they will be able to give you, inspire you with extraordinary ideas.

They will be able to provide you knowledge which is so uncommon, which is so life changing.

So these Archetypes, and Dr. Pillai's Teachings, the Techniques, and the Meditations, you can

get knowledge that can give you Wisdom which is uncommon, and which can help you.

For example, they can help you change the outcomes of certain situations in your life.

Let us say you are going to a meeting and you need the meeting to be successful and

these Archetypes can help you.

You are going for a job interview, or you are going to raise money, or you are going

to buy a house, or whatever it is, in all those critical moments, these Archetypes can

provide Divine Help and Miracles.

So the greatest gift in my life is Miracles both for myself, for others through me, which

gives me great satisfaction because you feel you've become, you know, a Vessel for The

Divine, and that is the greatest joy.

One of the biggest breakthroughs in my life is the experience of bliss and that happened

to me about a year back through an interaction with The Mother Goddess during Navaratri Time

in a power spot in India, recommended by Dr. Pillai.

And I had experienced bliss before psychologically, but bliss in every cell of the body where

the body was vibrating with bliss.

Ohm that was a life changing because now I know I can go back to that.

I was practicing what I learned in Dr. Pillai's Mystery School Program.

I was practicing what he had taught, the mantras which he had taught, and that is why he talks

about time, time is very important.

So these things work in my life.

They have financially enriched me, and spiritually they totally, you know, expanded my view of

life, and what is possible.

So this has become now something that I want to explore further.

Thanks to Dr. Pillai that he is teaching again, and I could spend one more year learning about

it, and expanding my consciousness, and I know my probably in the last couple of months,

I have seen my material life exploding, Financial Miracles Wealth Miracles, like I have never

seen before.

So yeah Mohini, I owe a lot to Dr. Pillai's Teachings, and you know, I have always felt

these One Year Programs helped me to stay focused on changing my life, on changing my

Karma for the whole year.

Mohini – Great, thank you so much, your story is very inspiring and I am sure many

more people will be committed to use these Teachings, in order to have the kind of experiences

that you shared.

ICE Student Stories: "I Know I'll Succeed in the Pastry World" - Duration: 2:59.

ICE stood out because they have a bean to bar chocolate lab and it really draws me

and it just sticks with me.

I grew up in Hong Kong and it wasn't until I went to the UK

to study that I was fascinated by cooking and especially chocolate. I studied archaeology

in York, which is also famous for their chocolate production and one day I

wandered into the York Cocoa House and I had their famous chocolate drink. The

texture, the body and the flavor of the hot chocolate drink really amazed me and

that's why I asked them, can I come here and work for a while and then they said

yeah sure. I had been studying chocolate making for some time before I enrolled in the

ICE pastry program but it wasn't until I met chef Michael Laiskonis that I realized

there was so much more to learn in chocolate making. The chocolate lab in

ICE is one of the main reasons that drew me over other than ICC or CIA, because

having a bean-to-bar chocolate lab in the school makes ICE more modern and

forward-thinking. While I was in school I looked forward to going to school every

single day. The feeling of stepping into a professional kitchen, it's a little bit

scary but the teachers in here are really helpful and supportive and you become

better and better and you just start to love it and you come here every single

day you look forward to each day. In Mod 1 we have a lesson with chef

Michael Laiskonis and he taught us about chocolate, his lab and also his work in

school. He showed me as a chef himself how people can achieve perfection and

that just made me want to learn more from him and so I did a few recreational

classes with Chef Michael and you learn things in a way that you can actually

digest and understand it and after that it just motivated me to learn more

from other different chefs. I love helping pastry chefs beyond the

classroom at ICE. They always have recreational classes and also their own

projects going on and there's always something new to learn.

For example I helped Chef Jeff with his classes and events. He's kind of chef

that you hope to become: he cares about his students and he's also very talented.

I love working with him. When ICE hosted the Top 10 Pastry Awards I was given the

opportunity to work with Chef Stephan, the executive pastry chef from Disney

World. He gave me the insight of how a professional pastry chef should be, which

you need to be motivated, encouraging and also the attention to details. The

education I received from ICE and all the experience that I've worked with

these talented chefs, I am confident that I will succeed in the pastry world.

Homemade Natural Disinfectant With 2 Simple Ingredients - Duration: 1:56.

Lots of commercially made cleaning products are made with dangerous chemicals, that can

cause breathing problems, skin irritations, and pollute the air in your home. When you

make a natural disinfectant with common, cheap household items, you reduce your exposure

to noxious chemicals and keep your house clean.

In today's video we're going to show you how to use lemon peel to make a natural homemade

disinfectant.

You can use it to: clean your house, clean the floor, clean toilets, sanitize any surface,

and it even smells nice!

The tip is to save the peel from the lemons you use throughout the day.

This recipe can also be made using orange or tangerine peel. It's easy and the result

is excellent: a naturally clean and good smelling house.

Ingredients:

Peel from 4 lemons; 300 milliliters of water (1 ¼ cup); 3 tablespoons

of rubbing alcohol.

Instructions:

Save the lemon juice to use later and put the lemon peel and the water in a tightly

closed glass jar.

Let the peel soak for 3 days then blend them with the water for about 5 minutes. If necessary,

strain the mixture.

Next, mix in the alcohol and stir well. Before using this solution, shake it up.

Now your natural disinfectant is ready. It's really practical and easy to make, isn't it?

If you already knew this recipe, leave your opinion in the comments. If you haven't

tried it yet, do it today and take advantage of all of the wonderful advantages lemons

have to offer us.

The ASL Challenge | ASL - Duration: 5:32.

[Intro screen writing "RIKKI POYNTER"]

[Pokemon game sound]

Yes, I am currently filming in a new area.

I'm in northern California right now.

We're going to do a fun video today, nothing serious.

We're going to be doing some ASL challenges.

I did these before on Facebook with iPhone videos but

I figured I'd do it again here on a much nicer camera.

Let's see if I've improved any since then.

There's four challenges.

Let's start!

The ABC challenge, regular way.

[signs the alphabet, gets Y and Z mixed up in the process]

Uh, no. Let's do that again.

I got Y and Z backwards.

[signs alphabet, messes up]

I'm trying not to focus on this too much.

That was um.. Okay.

Now I'm going to do the alphabet again, but backwards.

I need to look at a list since I don't know the alphabet backwards.

This is a hard challenge for me.

That wasn't too terrible.

Now I want to try the regular one again.

Now I'll do the alphabet with my left hand.

I write with my left hand, but I sign with my right.

I can't sign very well with my left hand for some reason.

Uh, I think that was actually better with this hand.

Okay then.

Alright, last one.

Spelling "cat" and "dog" at the same time on different hands.

Yeah? No?

Okay, switching.

Okay, alphabet one more time because it's frustrating me.

Okay, I'm just getting worse at this instead of improving.

Alright, that's it! That was fun.

I believe there are more challenges, but I can't think of them specifically at the moment.

If you want to try these,

you're more than welcome to upload your own videos to YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, whatever.

If you want to follow me on all of my social media, links to that will be down below.

If you want to support my work, you can do so via Patreon or Kofi.

Both links are down below.

I upload every Monday and Thursday and I will see you later. Bye.

7 Signs of Sunstroke - Duration: 9:52.

7 Signs of Sunstroke

With Labor Day fast approaching, it's tempting to soak up as much sun as possible before

the summer is over.

But too much sun can be dangerous.

Even with sunscreen and other measures to protect against sunburn, you and your family

could still be at risk.

Sunstroke is a serious, sometimes life-threatening, condition brought on by overexposure to the

sun.

Even in the shade or indoors, you could be at risk for heat stroke when the temperature

rises.

Here's what you need to know about sunstroke and heat stroke to better recognize and treat

it…

What Is Sunstroke?

Sunstroke is heat stroke caused by excessive exposure to the sun.

Heat stroke is a potentially deadly condition in which the body's core temperature rises

to 40-degrees Celsius (104-Farenheit) or more because it can no longer cool itself effectively.

The biggest risk factor for sunstroke is prolonged exposure to the sun, particularly during full-sun

hours (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.) and in high temperatures.

Even indoors, temperatures above 90-Celcius, especially when combined with high relative

humidity (over 40-percent), can lead to heat stroke.

Risk Factors for Sunstroke

Anyone can get sunstroke, but some people are more susceptible than others.

Children under 5 and seniors over 65 are at greater risk, as are adults who are obese

or underweight.

Some health conditions also increase risk.

People with diabetes, hypertension, heart or kidney disease, or respiratory problems

should be extra careful.

Sunburn and any illness causing fever are also risk factors.

Medications can interfere with your body's ability to regulate temperature, as well.

This includes prescription medications like antidepressants, anticonvulsants, and beta

blockers, as well as over-the-counter meds like diet pills and antihistamines.

Check the side effects of any medication and take extra sun-care precautions.

Sunstroke Sign

#1: Throbbing Headache

One of the first signs of too much sun is a throbbing headache.

It generally has the rhythm of a drumbeat.

The pain will get more intense in bursts, with periods of less-intense pain between.

If you feel pulsing at the temples or across the forehead, it could be a warning sign that

you've had too much sun.

If you get a throbbing headache, get out of the sun immediately.

If you can't go indoors, at least go to a shady area.

Try putting a cold cloth across your forehead or rubbing an ice cube from temple to temple.

Drink as much water as you can.

Dehydration is a major factor in sunstroke/heat stroke.

#2: Nausea or Vomiting

Feeling nauseated and/or throwing up may indicate sunstroke.

According to the National Institutes for Health, UV radiation is toxic, with long-term effects

that may reach the genetic level.

While the skin is first to react to this toxin, resulting in sunburn, internal systems also

feel the effects.

One of the body's first responses to toxins is to try to expel them by vomiting.

If you begin to feel nauseated, and especially if you vomit, get out of the sun immediately.

Lie down if you can.

Put cold cloths on your head, in your armpits, and around your groin to lower your body's

core temperature.

Slowly sip water to rehydrate.

#3: Dizziness

Prolonged sun exposure can cause dizziness for two reasons: 1) the physical heat and

humidity, and 2) toxic UV rays.

Dizziness can present in a few different ways.

Most commonly, it is the feeling that either you are spinning or things are spinning around

you.

It may also be a light-headed feeling.

In some cases, it may be accompanied by vision issues or ringing in the ears.

Dizziness may be a precursor to another, more serious, symptom of sunstroke: fainting or

loss of consciousness.

If you feel dizzy, sit or lie down, preferably out of the sun.

Try to have someone stay with you or at least check in on you in case you do pass out.

Drink water and lower your body temperature with cold cloths, ice packs, or even a cool

bath.

#4: Hot, Dry Skin

Though it may seem counter-intuitive, one of the key signals that your body is overheating

is a lack of sweat.

Your body produces sweat as a means of cooling itself, so when your internal temperature

regulator stops working (which is the basis of heat stroke), you stop sweating.

If you feel hot but aren't sweating, or if your skin feels hot, tight, dry, and perhaps

even painful to the touch, you probably have sunstroke.

Soothe your skin by taking a cold bath or shower.

Drink plenty of water to rehydrate from the inside out, as well.

If your skin is also sunburned, try a soothing, cooling gel with aloe vera.

Get out of the sun, or if that's not possible, cover yourself in light clothing to protect

your skin from further damage.

#5: Rapid Heartbeat and/or Rapid Breathing

When your body overheats, its systems begin to shut down.

This failure is often signalled by an erratic heartbeat, either strong or weak.

Rapid, shallow breathing may also occur, either on its own or in conjunction with an increased

heart rate.

If you feel like your heart is racing and/or you can't catch your breath, you should

seek help immediately.

Getting out of the sun and bringing down your core temperature with cold cloths or ice packs

in the armpits and groin, or a cold bath or shower, is a good first step.

However, an increased heart rate and difficulty breathing are both potentially serious and

should be addressed by a healthcare professional.

#6: Confusion/Disorientation

Too much sun can have a similar effect as too much alcohol.

People with sunstroke may seem confused or disoriented, and may even stagger or slur

their words.

While you should pay attention to any sign of sunstroke and get out of the sun at the

first indication, behaviour changes can be a sign that something is really wrong.

Like increased heart rate and rapid breathing, disorientation can have serious consequences.

Get out of the sun, drink water, and try to reduce your core temperature with a cold bath

or shower, or by placing ice packs around the core (back, armpits, and groin).

If the confusion worsens or doesn't pass, contact a healthcare professional.

#7: Loss of Consciousness

The most severe sign of sunstroke is loss of consciousness.

This could be a brief fainting spell or a more prolonged state of unconsciousness.

Usually, someone with sunstroke will exhibit signs prior to losing consciousness.

That's why it's important to get out of the sun and begin treatment at the first sign.

Loss of consciousness is serious and is usually a sign of severe sunstroke.

Left untreated, it can lead to death.

If you faint, seek help immediately.

If you're with someone who loses consciousness, call 911 for assistance, and ask the attendant

what you can do to assist the person until help arrives.

Treatment and Prognosis for Sunstroke

The good news is that sunstroke is generally treatable and rarely causes permanent damage

if caught early.

Although extreme heat can be fatal, especially in the very old, the very young, or the physically

compromised, there are usually warning signs long before the situation becomes dire.

At the first sign of sunstroke or heat stroke, get somewhere shady or dark and cool, and

begin drinking water.

Apply cold cloths to the neck, back, armpits, and/or groin to help lower core temperature.

Better yet, prevent sunstroke by limiting sun exposure, using sunscreen and protective

clothing (long sleeves/pants, sunglasses, hat), and staying hydrated.

Avoid beverages with caffeine or alcohol, which can actually dehydrate you, and take

it easy—a hot, humid day is no time for a strenuous workout!
