Is St. Valentine's day a fake? - Duration: 5:58.

On Feb 14, Valentine's Day, as it is known in other countries the day for couples to exchange gifts, was celebrated.

Mostly but not only in the USA,

the date is widely celebrated with many gifts, flowers, chocolates, and vows exchanged by lovers.

But what if I told you that Saint Valentine, patron saint of love and happy marriages,

and the saint of the day, never existed and that day is fake?

Spent your money for nothing, right?

In Brazil is another date, and the reason for celebrating Valentine's Day is even less romantic.

June 12th became Valentine's Day in here

after the businessman João Dória, father of João Dória Jr., the current mayor of São Paulo

thought that the Brazilian market was not heated during this month,

and created the date as a way to heat up the market and to boost Brazilian economy.

But let's get back to Valentine.

The origins of the saint are obscure.

The point is that in the records of Catholicism, there is more than one Saint Valentine.

Three martyrs called Valentines coincidentally celebrated on the same date, February 14.

One was a Roman priest and physician persecuted for being a Christian

when the Roman Empire was still following polytheism. After his death,

a basilica was built under Pope Julius I at the Via Flaminia in Rome,

where his body was supposedly buried.

The other was Bishop of Terni, in central Italy

and after his violent execution ordered by the Emperor Claudius II,

he apparently had also been buried in Via Flaminia,

but there is a theory that his relics were taken to Terni, where he became a bishop.

The third one, from whom there are less information, was a man who was martyred in Africa.

It is unknown to this day whether all are the same person,

whether they are different people, or if it is a myth that unites several facets of different saints, forming one.

And why do people on Feb 14 say you're my Valentine and send letters to the loved one signed this way?

In addition to all the confusion with the three Valentines, there is a legend, which tells that Valentine

while imprisoned for celebrating Christian marriages,

considering than that was ilegal at the time,

fell madly in love with the daughter of one of the jailers

and started to send her letters signing 'Your Valentine'. That's the origin of the tradition.

The man slipped on the banana peel and fell on the cliff, and when he was falling he yelled

'help me St. Francis!'

And a giant hand came and caught the man, asking with a husky voice

St. Francis of Assisi or of Paola. And the man answered 'Assisi'.

Sorry, I'm Paola.

Got it? Confusion with saints?

What can cause even greater confusion

is that many relics of the saint, are kept in various parts of the world.

But during Middle Ages

It was very common for people to sell fake relics.

You know how it is. Hard times, people needed to get some money,

so not all the relics present in basilicas, churches, and cathedrals

are authentic.

These are the places in where the so called relics are:

Chełmno in Poland.

Dublin in Ireland.

Glasgow in Scotland.

Lesbos in Greece.

Rome, Terni, and Savona in Italy,

and Prague in the Czech Republic.

But if Saint Valentine never existed, what is the origin of this celebration? The same that many Catholic holidays.

Pagan feasts turned into Christians in an attempt to conceal the old polytheistic religions.

Do you remember that I mentioned Lemuria in the Haloween video? The logic is the same.

Regarding Valentine's Day, the feast in question is the Lupercalia.

A Roman festival celebrated in mid-February

dating back to the founding of Rome and the legend of the twis...twis...

About the twins Romulus, founder of Rome, and his brother and Remus

both raised by a wolf, or 'lupus' in Latin, so Lupercalia.

Lupercalia began with the sacrifice of some goats and a dog.

Two of the priests called Luperci were led to the altar, their foreheads were touched with a bloody dagger.

After that he blood was wiped off with wool dip...dip...

The blood was wiped off with wool dipped in milk.

The celebrations started only after the priests cut thongs from the skins of the sacrificial animals

and ran around the Palatine hill, 'thonging', I mean,

striking with the thongs at any woman.

A blow from the thong was supposed to make a woman fertile.

Isn't that romantic?

The play ended when Pope Gelasius I banned the Lupercalia

and turned it into the Feast of the Purification.

Or Purification of Mary, choosing February 14 as the official date.

Another version says that this date was to celebrate the Cleansing of the Temple.

But with time, it became St. Valentine's Day.

it's not known whether by the decisions of the pope, or something cultural acquired during Middle Ages,

and it's celebrated until this day.

Although the Catholic church abolished the date in 1969

because there is a lot of confusion and little information about the three Valentines.

New Nvidia GPUs NEXT MONTH, Flash Sales Have Returned, AMD Ryzen 2400g/2200g - Duration: 5:06.

Hey welcome to Zach's Tech Turf.

On Weekly Download number 81 I'm gonna be playing some Call of Duty WW2 when I give

you this news, I got my cup of coffee right there, make sure you guys let me know in the

comment section what you're sippin on, don't forget to buy a shirt zachstechturf.com, let's

get into it.

To kick off the tech news for the week, we gotta address the latest Nvidia GPU rumors

floating around, because, well, we're all anxiously waiting for this and have been for

quite a while.

The latest buzz that popped up this week came from Reuters, which has actually been a very

reliable source in the past, saying that then next line of Nvidia GAMING GPU's will be

code named Turing.

We actually got a rumor just a couple weeks ago saying that the line of GPUs would be

called Ampere, so what does this actually mean?

Could we see both Ampere and Turing, one being a gaming card and the other mining card, and

also what about Volta?

Either way, it's expected that Nvidia release that exact information here in the next month

so we'll find out soon enough.

Next up the first ever Ryzen APUS, or Ryzen processors with built in Vega graphics finally

launched earlier this week, the Ryzen 5 2400G and the Ryzen 3 2200G.

I already fully explained how these worked in a previous weekly download episode, but

after seeing some YouTube reviews they still seem exactly how we thought they would, they're

decent.

These built in graphics aren't gonna give you any crazy benchmarks and especially not

in 1080p with graphically demanding games, but they'll at least allow you to play every

game, with lower settings of course, until you either save up enough money for a graphics

card or just wait until Nvidia Turing, or Ampere, maybe Volta, I don't know.

Alright so by far my favorite news story of the week is about some Russian Nuclear Scientists

that decided it was a good idea to use a supercomputer to mine some cryptocurrency.

Brilliant idea.

This super computer that builds nukes or tests nukes or whatever isn't even supposed to

connect to the internet, for obvious security reasons, and the alarms apparently went off

as soon as these guys connected it to start mining.

They obviously didn't make it that far and now their faced with some serious criminal

investigations, but hey, it's at least hilarious.

Moving on Corsair put a pretty cool product on the market this week, a wireless mechanical

keyboard for gaming on the couch.

It's basically like one of those older lapboards, as it includes a Corsair K63 wireless keyboard,

a mouse pad, and some memory foam underneath to place on your lap.

I'm definitely a fan of these products that help us game on the couch, as I'm still

using my Razer Turret at least every week.

I fully reviewed that by the way.

And to wrap up the tech news for the week, security chiefs from the NSA, FBI, and CIA

warned Americans this week to not use those somewhat decently popular Huawei (wowway)

smart phones.

You may remember Huawei from their new Mate 10 Pro which has been heavily reviewed in

the past month.

These security chiefs explained that these products "provide the capacity to exert

pressure over our telecommunications structure" and that it also paves the way for companies

to steal information and data.

Very interesting that we're just now hearing this after AT&T backed out of a deal to distribute

Huawei phones as well.

Alright so to kick things off with the PC gaming news for the week, Dead Space is now

the latest on-the-house game on the Origin platform.

Not gonna explain more about this game, it's been out for a decade now, it's apparently

really good actually, but yea all you have to do is install Origin for free and claim

the game to your account and it's yours.

Next up Mike Chapman who is the design director for Sea of Theives confirmed this week that

there will be no microtransactions at all when the game launches.

He says that their actually working on a new style of cosmetic microtransactions, which

I'm actually very excited to see, and that there will never be any form of gambling or

pay to win aspects in his game.

I definitely just became more interested in your game Mr. Chapman.

And on the complete opposite side of the microtransaction fence, Activision Blizzard reported over $4

billion dollars were earned from in-game purchases in 2017.

This is literally over half of their entire net revenue which shows us consumers why microtransactions

are in place, and that their probably not going anywhere anytime soon.

This does also include DLC mind you, but still, that's a boat load of money for in-game

purchases.

Side note, I actually invested a very tiny amount into Activision Blizzard last year

so I'm a happy camper.

And finaly to wrap up the news this week, we got some Lunar New Year sales going on

right now, but guess what, Flash Deals are back baby.

Unforutenly Steam will continue their sales structure like normal, but over on GOG they

are actualy doing Flash Deals again where we'll see crazy deals that only last for

like 2 hours or so, and then they're gone.

This was so much fun when Steam did it so you best bet I'll be checking GOG every

few hours.

Filmmaking Tips For Beginners | Practice Exercise | A Trip To Your Favorite Restaurant - Duration: 3:05.

What are you doing for lunch tomorrow?

The answer, is making a movie.

For beginner filmmakers a lot of time is spent watching YouTube videos like these.

It may seem like you are doing a lot but in reality you aren't doing much.

Like anything in life, practice practice practice is the best way to get better.

"We talkin bout practice" Even for those more professional, it is always good to practice

the fundamentals."Practice"

So here's a tangible practice idea you can film tomorrow in just 30 minutes doing something

we are going to be doing, eating.

You don't have to use your fancy camera.

A phone will suffice, remember this is practice, "Not the game!" and more artsy & social

media-ey not professional,

Now go to your favorite restaurant, alone or with a friend, and film the experience.

Tell the story from when you arrive to when you eat to when you leave using video.

There are no set rules.

You can film sequentially and make it an easy edit or you can experiment try new things,

try new angles and have fun.

Now put the clips together to form a story.

It doesn't have to be amazing.

This is just another practice "I mean How silly is that" Try new transitions add some

new music add some titles and come up with a less than 1 minute video.

The important part was you learned some new things, you found out some mistakes you can

fix next time and you had just gotten out there and practiced "we talking bout practice

man"

If you didn't get enough clips, if you missed something if your video was shaky, thats ok.

Just learn from your mistakes.

And now go back to another restaurant and try it again and do better.

"I dare you to do better".

Here's an example that I came up with my phone when I just went out to a sushi buffet.

I told a story, I put it together, and I had FUN! "edited" "We ain't talkin bout

the game!"

peep this out guys it's Ian K back again with another one for ya cheaters

cam style after hours headed into wendy's to take a look at their latest

freshly made promo burger and guys i'm actually going into this one completely

blind i know absolutely nothing about what's on this burger with the exception

of it's probably gonna be very smoky and definitely cheesy so let's hit that

drive-thru and set ourselves up yeah peep this out lm me go for one of those

smoky mushroom bacon cheeseburgers just the burger by itself and that's it great

thanks they've got a smokey mushroom baked potato - it looks pretty serious

single please awesome thank you have you tried this new burger it looks pretty

good serious mushrooms huh nice nice great thanks my friend appreciate it have

a good one buh bye alright guys I think we're in for some smoky goodness let's

peep this out

quality is our recipe as they say over here at Wendy's guys and this looks to be a

mushroom lover's dream come true with their all-new smoky mushroom bacon

cheeseburger and this is already winning in the looks department thanks to that

applewood smoked bacon and that's always a highlight over here at Wendy's but

that is not the main star of the show it's just one of the components of it

let's pop the top of this bakery style brioche bun and take a look at what we

got here guys lots of gooey madness going on looks like this is supposed to

be smoky mushroom aioli and fried onion Tanglers so essentially some really

kicked up type of Mayo looking really really tasty they didn't skimp on that

for sure we've got some smoky portobello mushrooms that you guys see right up

over there as well and aged asiago cheese along with that applewood smoked

bacon on top of a freshly made patty here guys the beef here is never frozen

always fresh and it really does look pretty tasty and as you can see with

everything on the inside I got to tell you it definitely smells like it is

loaded with mushroom goodness here the smell of mushrooms is very strong on it

and I'm afraid to lift this one even further cuz it's definitely gonna fall

apart but let's get into this right now guys it's the all new smoky mushroom

bacon cheeseburger here at Wendy's let's peep out this flavor this one's

definitely got a little height to it guys it definitely smells like a lot of

mushroom goodness let's see if the flavor matches up it's the smoky

mushroom bacon cheeseburger here at Wendy's the juices are definitely

dripping off for this one guys and I think it's mostly because of the smoky

portobello mushrooms mixing with that mushroom aioli it is very very rich and

I got to say a little bit salty but it is actually very very flavorful and salt

of course adds all the flavor mmm and to be quite honest some of that saltiness

is coming from the applewood smoked bacon and that's not a bad thing at all

because the applewood smoked bacon rocks here at Wendy's but for those of you who

love mushrooms you have a lot to look forward to with this one guys very tasty

overall and on top of that freshly made beef pretty insane pretty insane indeed

lots of mushroom flavor on this one guys and quite honestly the aged Asiago is

taking a little bit of a backseat to the overall flavor profile on this one but

with mushrooms taking the center stage it nails that one in spades very nicely

on the applewood smoked bacon mixing with that aioli I got to say that combo

is nice but not too much smoky flavor it's more like a very very heavy

mushroom flavor with just some nice hints of beef that really come up on the

back end but this is very flavorful and an easy

recommendation like I said for all you mushroom lovers out there now it is late

night so for me as single patty is more than enough but with a double and a

triple available guys you definitely have options and options are a great

thing to have when it comes to customizing your burger so it looks like

Wendy's is looking out for you and you can also get most of these goodies on

top of a baked potato along with the cheese sauce so I may have to come back

and check that one out but I got to say guys very very tasty on this very

impressed with the quality I was expecting it to be good and thankfully

it is the only thing is though I really wish that asiago cheese was standing out

just a little bit more but considering what's taking center stage on this one

the bacon is a strong flavor anyway and with the mushroom being what it is

everything works in unison on this and I got to say overall with that bakery

style bun it's a very awesome package guys if you get the single you get the

double you get the triple you are down to be satisfied this is just a delicious

burger it really is and fortunately they really load you up on those portobello

mushrooms I just wish they were just a little bit more smokier like they

advertise but man the flavor is just insane on this so if Wendy's is only

gonna come out with one or two burgers a year thankfully the quality is gonna be

up there and this one is easily one of their hallmarks an easy recommendation

on this one for sure but of course that's just my opinion what do you guys

think are you super excited to give the all new smoky mushroom bacon

cheeseburger a shot over here at Wendy's and if you are what are your thoughts on

them coming out with burgers like this a little bit more often throughout the

year because it kind of seems like they do this maybe once or twice a year and

then that's it drop some comments down below and definitely let me know and as

for my overall score I'm gonna have to give the all-new smokey mushroom bacon

cheeseburger here at Wendy's a rock-solid 9 out of 10 like I said this

is a pretty flavor packed mushroom burger that I think any mushroom aficionado is

gonna get into whether it's a single a double or a triple you are absolutely

covered and although like I said I wish the asiago cheese popped a little bit

more along with the overall smokiness of the flavor they're advertising the

mushroom flavor alone is enough to seal the deal on this one and it gets the job

done in spades pretty awesome and those are my thoughts on the latest from

Wendy's coming at you after hours cheaters cam style as we close out

[DIY] How to make CS drift gear for WLtoys 1/28 K969,K989 & Mini-Z - Duration: 6:56.

Hello, and welcome to Beaver's Hobby Channel.

In this video I will show you how to make CS or counter steer gear for WLtoys 1/28 K989,K969.

You can do the this to other cars like Mini-Z, Mini-Q, Atomic AMZ.

First of all I want to apologize for the poor quality of the footages in this video.

I filmed this a year ago but I didn't put it up

because some of them are too dark or out of focus.

Anyway, with the narration of what I am doing

this should give you some idea of how to make a CS gear yourself.

With that out of the way, let's get started.

Two things you need to modify are rear gear and differential.

What I'm essentially doing is increasing the size of the rear pinion gear.

And because of that the differential gear has to move in order to accommodate it.

First you need to choose the CS ratio you want to do.

And pick a gear to match it.

In my opinion 1.5 is a good place to start for a beginner.

So in this case you would want a 12 teeth pinion.

The pinion you pick has to be the same pitch as the original gear

which is the standard size for small toy cars and small robots.

You can easily find these plastic gears on ebay.

I choose 15 teeth gear to make 1.875 ratio.

And salvage the gear from another car.

Now that you have the pinion if the hole is not big enough

you'll have to drill in to the hole to widen it.

This can go off centre very easily so be patience.

Now I'm going to put this pinion on the rear gear.

The rear gear I use is the one that already worn out.

Well, with the old batch of WLtoys the gears are very brittle.

And I could wear them out in just a few battery packs.

Now I'm going to give it a new life.

Starting by filing the gear part down to the same size as the hole in the pinion gear.

I do this by putting the rear gear in the dremel

using it as a lathe to file down the gear.

Now that I have these two pieces simply glue them together.

And I have a rear gear for CS.

At this point if the cs gear pinion is longer than the original rear gear

you will have to file it down otherwise it won't fit.

Once it is finished, put this rear gear in the car.

Next thing to modify is the differential.

As I said earlier because the rear pinion is bigger, the diff gear has to move to fit the gear.

First disassemble the diff.

And take the middle bit with the bevel gears out.

Now it's the matter of test fit the differential and see if it can spin freely inside the gearbox.

If removing the middle bit is not enough you will have to cut or file down these three prongs.

Again, test fit everything and repeat the process until all the parts can move freely.

You might have to file down the other side of the diff too.

This is my final test fit.

You can see that this side is getting a lot shorter.

I'll deal with it later.

OK... everything seems to be working fine.

The last thing to do is gluing everything together.

For the main part I use long shaft drive cup to guide the diff in place.

And I also do the test fit it every step of the way.

Once I'm sure it is working I can glue the short shaft drive cup in to the diff.

And as for the other side that got shorter,

I use the long shaft, glue it and stick it in but not all the way.

It's better to have a original diff to compare the size and to see how much gap to leave.

And it is done!

Now I have a complete working CS gear kit

ready to countersteer all the way to fun town.
