all right now tonight we will be shaving with my Gold Dollar 208 this is the

razor that we honed up in the last Straight Razor Edge Friday Special on a

MetalMaster synthetic edge so there you go 15,000 stone and we're gonna go ahead

and continue on with that it did pretty well enough the last test shave and for

soap tonight Stubble Trubble RHYMES WITH ORANGE this is just such a nice

orangey I kind of a live set I really enjoyed this one so let's do it

I have had that puck blooming as always I'm going to pour off that bloom water

we're putting that one as a pre-shave yep there we go now oh yeah

and that scent comes through

yes it does that's nice

there we go all right now get those hands dried off for a brush tonight we

are going yes my Omega 10098 so let's do this get started getting that

brush loaded up oh yeah and let's a little of that bloom water in that bowl

so it's a little wetter than normal but that will be fine no big deal alright so

we made it to the midweek shave day Hump Day yeah hopefully you're having a good week

yeah and you're in high spirits yeah hopefully work as well and if you don't

work you probably want the lucky ones so hopefully your week is just going

extra-special yeah and you're getting some good shaves

I hope so I really do I've been hearing some good shaves down in the comments so

pretty sure we're done with this soap that is what an incredible scent I believe this

has got like blood orange in it and it is just really nice and strong good set

nice pass one complete yep let's get it cleaned off and see how we did it it

felt pretty good really good and like I was saying in the Sunday shave I think

for a very long time off of this straight up synthetic edge which is this edge I'm

using tonight so if that's where your budget has you starting that's okay not

a big deal it can be done yep so you can get a nice

comfortable shave with a synthetic and for some people it's even better than

others depending on your beard type and that kind of thing but it is a good way

to start because you can get into the honing stones quite a bit less

expensively than some of the natural stones

then you can get a really good shave off of these edges know it's really

it's all about the edge and you gotta get that bevel

get that bevel set before any stone you work on is any good

there we go nice that's a good so man that's good so alright now this is pass

two which is primarily going to be against the grain this way across the

grain in here we're going to try to go against the grain here and here and

let's do this

yeah this is always a tricky spot for me right there

when I say right there I actually mean like right here so it's a little bit

bigger than a little spot

a little close there yeah a little in there so I've got a couple no big deal

though just hit a bump or two

problem yeah yeah you don't soap off my hands now we're gonna switch hands get

alright yeah that's good all those cheeks are right where we want them

that is nice yeah looking good now here we go the half pass now if you haven't

neck I don't need full three passes all I

need is two passes everywhere except my jaw line in my neck and there I am going

to go against the grain this time primarily anyway you know how that thing

goes it's not always going to be against the grain because there are places that your

hair is crazy ways so and so does mine alright let's do this

let's get there these days you got to take care of those

quite lovely and has a wonderful orange scent to go

with this soap mmm oh yeah nice and soothing good stuff

yes it is oh yeah and we're top this shave off with Nivea post shave balm oh yeah

yes sir we're doing it take care of that skin

Matt Denton, Adelaide GRDC Update provides tips for optimal performance of rhizobial inoculants - Duration: 4:42.

I'm Matt Denton, I'm from the University of Adelaide where I'm a senior lecturer and

I am a soil biologist and i do a lot of research in nitrogen fixation and rhizo

biology. The key message that I have is that effective rhizobial

inoculation is all about having high numbers of rhizobia and that's really

the key to making things work, whether you're in an acid soil or whether you

are dry sowing having large numbers of rhizobia is, is the key to improving

nodulation and nitrogen fixation. So there's a lot of advantages from using

either liquid inoculants or granular inoculants but we've found that the

standard peat slurry inoculants perform best because they contain the highest

numbers of rhizobia so it's always a a numbers game in terms of the number of

rhizobia in the product. One of the things we don't really know much is

about how different formulations and different methods of inoculation how

they perform in a dry sowing scenario so what we're talking about there is sowing

before the break of the season and the we have limited results so far but it's

really important for growers because growers are often sowing particularly

faba beans and lupins early and what we don't understand is how those

different formulations work. The results so far tell us that peat slurry

inoculants and peat granules are the most effective inoculants for dry sowing

conditions. So we we plan to invest more effort into understanding dry sowing and

the different formulations and how they operate under those circumstances,

because we we need to work out what's going to be best for for growers and

give them the best results. What we're actually doing there is we are catching

up to what the farmers are doing so we need to get some independent results,

to verify and find out which helps the rhizobia to survive best. Growers need to

be particularly careful with adding other agro chemicals with

rhizobia, so we've seen where, where that occurs there's death of rhizobia and we

have ineffective inoculation. So when farmers are under pressure and they're

adding different chemicals with their rhizobia, often that fails and where we

have an inoculation failure it's very hard to take any course of action to

resolve that. Rhizobia is the weak link in terms of the, the plant rhizobia acid

soil symbiosis, so rhizobia is the weak link there and

our, our aim is to identify some strains of rhizobia that are particularly acid

tolerant and then they we might be able to expand the range where some of these

crops grow so faba beans but also peas, lentils and vetch they share the same rhizobia so by having an

acid tolerant rhizobia we might be able to expand some of those crops where they

currently don't exist because as I said the, the rhizobia is the weakest link in

this. So we have, we've identified some strains between the University of

Adelaide and SARDI and we have identified that they have performed very

well on acid soils we need to test them on a greater range of soils and in a

greater range of environments to see how they perform and whether they perform as

well with lentils or other species as well. The most important take-home

messages are that rhizobia numbers are key to enhancing nodulation and that

there's different formulations available to growers but we've found that peat

slurry inoculation performs consistently well the effectiveness of granules and

liquid inoculants is very much dependent on the environment and the carrier

that's used. Under dry sowing conditions we've found with some preliminary data

that that peat slurry inoculants and peat granules are the best inoculants

for under dry sowing conditions.

Travel Sketch - Malacca Food Trail - Duration: 10:00.

We're in Malacca...

and that's where we're gonna be spending a few days painting,

and checking out the local cuisine.

So there are many cendol shops here in Malacca.

Here it is! My bowl after the sketch right.

The coconut in here is really subtle...

... not to mention fresh.

Okay I'm famished. I haven't had my breakfast

ever since that paint out that I did this morning.

So this is nasi lemak rendang ayam.

What it is, is a coconut rice with the typical ikan bills,

cucumber, hard-boiled egg and rendang ayam (or chicken) in there.

I am so hungry!

Nothing beats home-cooked food.

This is the Blue Pea Flower. It is a major ingredient in many Nonya or Peranakan kueh kueh (snacks).

It is what creates the blue colour of most of the Nonya kueh kuehs.

It's a Thursday, it's getting more crowded. Malacca is kind of like a ghost town

during the weekdays, but the weekends from Thursday afternoon onwards, the crowd kind of picks up.

It's so warm and humid today, I'm so glad that this is a video

because you can't smell how bad I smell right now.

So coming right up here is this building the reminds me of Jiufen in Taipei.

It's that tea house inspired the Studio Ghibli people when they were

making the movie Spirited Away... there you go.

Let's go in for some durian chendol. Everyone says that

it's the best in this area.

Finally inside Shan Shu Gong.

It's always crowded, so I think they are able to make that volume every day.

Their during is fresh, it's the real deal!

And it's served in a little container.

So presentation wise, it looks a little bit tacky,

But hey, in here is amazing!

I recommend this place, it may get a little bit crowded on

weekends especially, so come on weekdays if you want to.

Hi, we're still in Malacca, right here on Jalan Kampong Kuli and we're heading

towards Lung Ann restaurant, that's a super old-school kopitiam (or coffee shop).

You know, it's so old school that the demitasse (or half coffee cup) is

still soaked in boiling hot water before they serve it to you.

This keeps the half cup warm or hot actually, you don't have that

anymore in Singapore, here they have the traditional kaya and toasts and I'm gonna have tea today.

It feels like a tea today so I'm gonna have some milk tea.

Teh-C (Teh with evaporated milk), no sugar.

That was some pampering... traditional authentic Thai massage here at Scents and Senses.

They have two branches one at Jalan Medeka and this is Taman Kota.

Now over to Donald and Lily's Peranakan Food.

Finally , I'm going to do some sketching and eaten here.

and what caught my eye, or what brought me in here,

is the fact that they sell Turkish Coffee.

I've not tried that before, so I'm finally going to try it...

and sketch it.

Turkish coffee is a method of preparing unfiltered coffee.

It is made by boiling the ground coffee beans

and is not made, for example, by filtering or percolation. The method of

preparation has two characteristic features: Number 1, that sugar has been

added to the coffee at the point of boiling and not after. Secondly, the

boiling is done as slowly as possible.

Okay, I'm done with the sketch, now to try the

Turkish coffee.

It has a...

very coarse, raw, bitter flavour, yet it tastes like tea. It's almost like a bunch

of cigarettes soaked in water.

Audi e-tron Vision Gran Turismo: Applying the VGT Formula to Formula E - Duration: 3:24.

The first battery-electric Audi production vehicle is set to launch as the e-tron Quattro

SUV in late 2018, but select customers and guests will have the chance to experience

Audi's electric capabilities before that on the racetrack this spring in the e-tron

Vision Gran Turismo (VGT).

First shown as a concept car for the PlayStation 4 video game Gran Turismo Sport, Audi's

imaginative creation has been turned into event-car reality for the 2018 Formula E circuit.

It will serve as an experiential race taxi at races this season, starting at the Formula

E race in Rome on Saturday, April 14.

The e-tron VGT was designed for the Vision Gran Turismo competition that started in 2013

as part of an exercise to celebrate the popular racing-simulator video game's 15th anniversary.

Numerous cars were dreamed up to fit the format, including the Honda Sports VGT, the Bugatti

VGT, and the Mercedes-Benz AMG VGT, and some were physically built for show purposes.

But none has been seen in action on a real-life racetrack, and Audi wanted to change that.

Audi is calling the e-tron VGT a "fully functional vehicle," but that doesn't

mean anybody will be able to take a test drive.

Former DTM driver Rahel Frey and three-time Le Mans winner Dindo Capello will take turns

behind the wheel at the races and dish out rides for a few lucky patrons.

Calling it fully functional doesn't quite paint the full picture of the e-tron VGT.

This is a real race car, and its design takes cues from the Audi 90 Quattro IMSA GTO car

of the late 1980s.

There are three electric motors, each making 268 horsepower.

Two of the motors power the rear wheels, while the third is attached to the front axle.

That powertrain is tasked with moving a claimed 3197 pounds, split evenly front to rear.

Audi estimates the car can scoot from zero to 62 mph in a blistering 2.5 seconds.

Don't expect to see the car in action in the United States, as thus far Audi has only

confirmed it will go into action at the European Formula E races.

The hot-lap machine is expected to make appearances at other events as well, but details on where

have yet to be announced.

The next, first, and only U.S. Formula E races of the 2018 season are in Brooklyn, New York,

the weekend of July 14 and 15.

There, fans will be able to race car from the teams Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler, MS +

AD Andretti, DS Virgin Racing, Dragon, Panasonic Jaguar Racing, Mahindra Racing, NIO Formula

E Team, Renault e.dams, Techeetah, and Venturi Formula E.
