*"Carol of the Bells" begins playing*

Our plans have been foiled time and time again

To those who support us, I'll give back to them

'Tis finally the season to be jolly

Falalalalafel or something wordy

But before us stands a mighty iron gate

The one called Simon and his wicked ways

Perhaps I can turn his heart of cold

With Christmas Spirit I can turn it to gold

2500 keys is my hope today

I'll do all that I can to keep Simon away

That's enough of this pondering. I have a plan!

It's time to head inside. This one's in the can.

*"Carol of the Bells" fades out*

*"12 days of Christmas" begins playing* Jace: Hey Simon it's Monday, it's key day again!

*Music stops* Simon: 200 alpha keys.

Jace: Dude really? What about Christmas Spirit and stuff?

Simon: But that's just bullshit

Jace: Yeah Simon, it is bullshit. But to a lot of people it's not.

Jace: Look man, everyone has supported us

and I think it's a great idea if we send out 2500 keys for Christmas

Jace: It's like... It's like a Christmas buff. Like an aura.

Simon: Can it be dispelled?

Jace: Uhh

No.

No, it can't be dispelled.

Unfortunately.

Simon: Huh.

Simon: 2500 alpha keys

Jace: Got 'em!

Joshua Greene – Mesmos cérebros, novas ideias - Duration: 1:44.

There's a sense in which our brains have changed,

and there's a sense in which our brains are exactly the same.

If you look at a large scale, if you look at the different parts of the brain,

their functions and what they do, and the basic capabilities that we have,

those are the same 100 years ago, 200 years ago,

2.000 years ago, maybe a hundred thousand years ago.

What has changed are the ideas that we have.

Now, every new piece of information that we encode…

If I meet you and tell you my name and you remember it,

you've changed your brain. You have an encoding in your brain

that allows you to remember what my name is.

But that's not what we tend to think of when we think of a neural transformation,

even though it does mean there is something in your brain that has changed.

So I think that our brains are basically the same,

but we're drawing on a different pools of ideas,

and when you put new ideas in people's heads,

even if their brains haven't changed very much

– in a way that'll be very hard to detect with a brain scanner –

society overall can be very different. You just look at human history:

I mean, the brains that we have are not so different.

Here in a big city like São Paulo, our brains here in the city

are not so different from people who have been living in Amazonia

and have never left. They come to the city and

in one generation, they're the same as everybody else.

It really is more the cultural knowledge that we draw on

that enables us to make these grand transformations.

DIY Plywood Furniture - Living Tiny Project #060 - Duration: 14:48.

This week we are gonna show you how we built this furniture.

So let's get started.

I'm Duca.

And I'm Roberta.

And together we are building our own tiny shipping container house.

So don't forget to subscribe.

And to join us every Monday for a new episode.

Made possible by our Patrons (Thank you)

It's about time to break this thing down.

Now we need to cut it in half.

This we are gonna cut in half, right?

It's in 3 parts.

It's 3 parts, that's right.

Now that we cut all it into smaller pieces,

tomorrow we can come back and on the circular saw we can cut it to the length.

But why do it tomorrow if we can do it today?!

We need to stop working because the rain is coming.

The thunders are already singing and that's... we get scared when the thunders start singing.

Using electricity is not good. So let's go inside.

I mean, let's go home. We see you guys tomorrow.

It's about time to start applying

laminated.

But this time we have a lot of laminated.

Just so you guys understand we are laminating the inside of the wardrobe. We could just paint it,

but we knew that... When we built the ceiling panels we had a lot of laminated leftover.

And we did that on purpose because now we can use that on the wardrobe.

So why not?

It protects a lot the wood.

And it's a really strong material and for the inside is perfect.

So let's do it.

So now comes the tricky part.

Not tricky but a really important part.

We need to cut. These are the main pieces like the long bottom and top piece of plywood.

We need to cut it square but we don't have a huge table saw to do that

so we need to do on the track saw.

And it needs to be 100% squared and we need to find out the length, the right length for this.

How we're gonna do that is by getting all the small pieces that are gonna be here.

So basically the first step is gonna be to cut square part

and then we know that we need one here we need one here.

And we're gonna, you know...

Keep going.

Keep going until we get to the end and then in the end we cut the leftover.

That's the plan, right?

It's gonna work out.

Just wait and see it.

For sure.

I'm gonna try to work by myself as Duca is helping a friend to rebuild his coffee shop,

that's the inside a Kombi.

Let me show you.

So, they are working there.

And I'm gonna try to work by myself.

Well if I can do it you can do it.

I'm really glad with the result.

Now...

All we need to do is to cut...

this part here.

So?

Right?

Are you doing well?

What do you think?

I left the kid alone and she is playing a lot.

Hopefully that's all good, but she's good.

That's it. It's all really good there.

Now all we need to do is to cut the tip.

I'm proud.

I'm really proud.

Me too.

But I need to go outside because we are finished something else.

Let me see it.

I trust you.

It's like a war zone.

Fingers crossed it's on the right length.

We did it.

Are you ready?

Yeah, let's solve this big big puzzle.

Today is the tricky part of the episode. We are gonna assemble this wardrobe, the top wardrobe.

I'm nervous.

We're gonna get there eventually.

But, by the way... today is Christmas.

Oh, yeah. So let's do this one with a Christmas song.

That's gonna be happy.

Merry Christmas to all of you.

Enjoy it.

And there... there is a table.

And a good one.

We can have lunch now.

That's it?

That's pretty cool.

That was a long week.

Yeah.

By the way.

(Thanks for the support Daryl)

Thanks so much, Daryl.

That's how it looks.

That's pretty stable.

That's pretty good.

So, do you like it?

I love it.

By the way, what do you think about our blue shelves?

That's pretty good.

We bought some scrap pieces of laminated months ago and we decided to give some color to the new furniture.

Yeah, it was too white. So we need some, you know... life.

It looks good. I like it.

I don't know if you guys know...

But this new furniture is gonna be on the top of that one that we built last week.

If you didn't watch it here is the link for that.

And we still need to build another one there.

And that's the next challenge.

Yeah, because that one is gonna be narrow like 15 centimeters, but it needs to be really strong.

Because this is just...

Yeah, it needs to hold this.

I don't know how it's gonna be yet.

But we'll find a way, right?

We always do.

I don't know if you guys know but this is number 60 of a

series that we are producing about us building our own tiny shipping container house.

We have a new episode every Monday telling the story about us building...

Not the story, the real story...

The behind the scenes.

Yeah, if you are expecting someone professional building a house that's not the channel for you.

But if you want to watch some amateurs building DIY house.

And showing all the mistakes.

Showing all the mistakes and doing a lot of mistakes.

But at the same time fixing a lot of mistakes also.

You can learn with our mistakes.

And then you don't repeat our mistakes.

So if you like what you've just watched just subscribe to our channel.

There is much more to come.

It's gonna be a long way until we finish the whole house.

And if you liked this episode you can leave as a thumbs up.

That helps a lot actually.

Thanks a lot for watching and just leave us a thumbs up because the channel, you know...

needs some support, you know...

So, we see you guys next Monday.

We see you next Monday.

Hyundai i30N Performance Driven - Is it a Proper HOT-HATCH? [Sub ENG] - Duration: 9:48.

Ciao everyone, here it's Marchettino and today we play with a Hyundai, but what a Hyundai trust me!

Apparently, both Koreas have rockets because whereas Kim Jung-un's North Korea has ballistic missiles,

South Korea has this, the Hyundai i30N. I think you've been surprised when I said " fun " and Hyundai in the same sentence but trust me

the Hyundai i30N is a proper pocket-rocket!

I find this car pretty interesting because it's the first Hyundai product developed for the sports segment, more precisely this car

has rivals like the Seat Leon Cupra R, Renault Megane RS and so on.

First impressions: I like it, currently I'm driving in Normal mode which is 1 of 5 modes you can choose

and for being a car that with Performance package costs 37.000€ full option,

it's not bad to me. By looking at the options and the interior, I have the feel it's worth it the amount of money Hyundai asks.

Fyi dealerships also make good discounts for this car.

Obviously the enthusiast that want a car like this, it's not just about the satnav, electric seats but, like the package says, for the performance.

In fact, let's switch settings by pressing the button on the steering wheel and set Sport.

Hear that? Well, first difference comes from the exhaust because from this engine which is a 2.0L 4cyl turbo

we hear a pleasant exhaust note.

This is the first out the 3 sports settings and in this setting we can already appreciate the dynamic qualities of this car.

This engine - with performance package - develops 275hp and 378nm of torque with overboost.

Flatout I can see the led light that lights up the right moment to change gear.

I do that with a great pleasure because this car currently is available only with the manual,

Great combination of 6-speed manual gearbox with a handbrake which hopefully isn't electric,

I find it rather annoying and it's fitted on most cars nowadays, when I want, I want to do also some badass handbrake turns!

Compared to the standard i30N, the differences we can tell with Performance package are noticeable,

because here we have bigger brakes, bigger 19" wheels but the biggest difference we find it in the way it delivers the power because

with performance package we have a semi-mechanic LSD. Driving a car that unleashes so much power in the front with these winter low temperatures, the difference is noticeable because

hitting the throttle especially out the corners the car offers lots of traction and a minimal understeer.

Let's switch mode again, N mode

The power delivery is even more enraged!

It even pops!

Redline is close to 7000rpm, not bad! You reach it quickly in N mode!

Bit of powerslide, these are not the ideal conditions to have the maximum grip but let's say this car currently fitted with Pirelli summer tires, it offers proper grip!

Another difference we can tell in N mode is on downshifts because the electronics automatically blips the throttle, a setting I dislike

in fact if we switch to Custom mode we can customize the many settings available on the i30N and make the settings we desire for example

power delivery in Sport+, remove the automatic blip on shift down, soft suspensions, it's not bad this car has many parameters and settings we can customize.

We didn't do it properly!

Launch control test, FAILED!

The acceleration of this pocket rocket ain't bad though, if I did LC correctly we would have done 0-100kph in 6, 6.1s

Overal I'm amazed by the product Hyundai has done because it's their first road going sports car

Probably we won't see many in our country because here people are snob, they look at the logo and they're like " it can't be a good car ", I'd rather get a traditional car but

in foreign countries this car is popular like the Seat Leon Cupra R, cars that in Italy aren't considered that much but I think the price / performance ratio if very good, just like this Hyundai.

Just consider Hyundai has a great reputation in motorsport, just think that Sebastien Loeb will join Hyundai for WRC and I think he will bring home lots of victories.

The tech Hyundai has developed in motorsport is brought also on this car, one more reason to appreciate and think that after all its price is reasonable.

The sound of this car is not bad!

This Hyundai has surprised me, for being the first sports product available I think the korean company has done a good job, it's quick with

many options available at a competitive price compared to its rivals.

It's fun, quick with lots of features and tech, not just the rear view camera, the satnav, lane assist but in terms of sports driving

here we have suspensions that depending on the settings they can get softer or harder, we have a proper LSD so yeah the Hyundai I30N Performance is worth it to me.

I think it's a good start for Hyundai in the making of road going sport cars, I feel like we'll see more N in the future!

I thank Marco from N Performance Club Italia for lending me his i30N and guys

make sure to Like the video if you enjoy it, subscribe to my YouTube if you haven't yet and as always thanks for watching, ciao!

Help for the Uptight | Enjoying Everyday Life - Duration: 28:32.

ANNOUNCER: THIS PROGRAM HAS BEEN MADE POSSIBLE

BY THE FRIENDS AND PARTNERS OF JOYCE MEYER MINISTRIES.

JOYCE: THE JOY OF THE LORD IS SOMETHING THAT WE CAN HAVE ALL

THE TIME BECAUSE IT'S NOT EVER BASED ON WHAT'S HAPPENING,

IT'S BASED ON WHAT WE KNOW AND WHAT WE BELIEVE.

[MUSIC]

JOYCE: ATTITUDES JUST MAKE ALL THE DIFFERENCE IN THE WORLD.

ONE LITTLE CUTE STORY.

"SHE'S 92 YEARS OLD, PETITE, WELL POISED AND PROUD.

SHE'S FULLY DRESSED EACH MORNING BY 8 O'CLOCK WITH HER HAIR

FASHIONABLY STYLED,

HER MAKEUP PERFECTLY APPLIED, IN SPITE OF THE FACT

THAT SHE'S LEGALLY BLIND.

TODAY SHE'S MOVED TO A NURSING HOME BECAUSE HER HUSBAND

OF 70 YEARS HAS RECENTLY PASSED AWAY MAKING THE MOVE NECESSARY.

AFTER MANY HOURS OF WAITING PATIENTLY IN THE LOBBY

OF THE NURSING HOME WHERE I AM EMPLOYED, THE LADY SMILED

SWEETLY WHEN TOLD THAT HER ROOM WAS FINALLY READY.

AS SHE MANEUVERED HER WALKER TO THE ELEVATOR,

I PROVIDED A VISUAL DESCRIPTION OF HER TINY, LITTLE ROOM

THAT SHE WOULD NOW LIVE IN THE REST OF HER LIFE.

I TOLD HER ABOUT THE ISLET CURTAINS THAT HAD BEEN HUNG

ON HER WINDOWS.

'I LOVE IT,' SHE SAID.

SHE STATED THAT WITH THE ENTHUSIASM

OF AN EIGHT-YEAR-OLD HAVING BEEN PRESENTED WITH A NEW PUPPY.

'MRS. JONES, YOU HAVEN'T EVEN SEEN THE ROOM YET, JUST WAIT.'

THEN SHE SPOKE THESE WORDS THAT I WILL NEVER FORGET.

'THAT DOESN'T HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH IT,'

SHE GENTLY REPLIED.

'HAPPINESS IS SOMETHING YOU DECIDE ON AHEAD OF TIME.

WHETHER I LIKE THE ROOM OR NOT DOES NOT DEPEND ON HOW

THE FURNITURE IS ARRANGED.

IT IS HOW I HAVE ARRANGED MY MIND.

I HAVE ALREADY DECIDED TO LOVE IT.'"

THINK ABOUT THAT.

SHE SAID, "I HAVE ALREADY DECIDED TO LOVE IT.

IT'S A DECISION I MAKE EVERY MORNING WHEN I WAKE UP.

I HAVE A CHOICE.

I CAN RESPOND THE DAY IN BED RECOUNTING THE DIFFICULTIES

I'VE HAD WITH ALL THE PARTS OF MY BODY THAT NO LONGER WORK,

OR I CAN GET OUT OF BED AND BE THANKFUL FOR THE ONES

THAT DO WORK.

EACH DAY IS A GIFT AND AS LONG AS MY EYES OPEN, I WILL FOCUS

ON THE NEW DAY AND ALL THE HAPPY MEMORIES I HAVE STORED AWAY

JUST FOR THIS TIME IN MY LIFE."

COME ON, GIVE GOD A BIG PRAISE.

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: YOU KNOW, WHEN PEOPLE COME TO MY CONFERENCES, I REALLY

LIKE TO HAVE PEOPLE THINK ABOUT MAKING SOME KIND OF A DECISION

BECAUSE, YOU SEE, NOTHING GOOD HAPPENS IN OUR LIFE

ACCIDENTALLY.

WE HAVE TO MAKE DECISIONS, AND I THINK THAT EVERY TIME YOU HEAR

A REALLY GOOD SERMON PREACHED UNDER THE ANOINTING, IT SHOULD

LEAVE YOU WITH SOME KIND OF A DECISION TO MAKE THAT WILL

HELP YOU COME UP HIGHER, AMEN?

AND SO, THIS IS GOOD TONIGHT BECAUSE WE CAN MAKE A DECISION

THAT WE'RE JUST NOT GONNA BE UNHAPPY.

WE CAN JUST MAKE A DECISION, "I AM NOT LETTING THE DEVIL

STEAL ONE MORE DAY OF MY JOY.

I AM NOT GONNA LET HIM KEEP--I'M

NOT GONNA KEEP LIVING UPTIGHT, ALL TENSE, AND HAVING TO HAVE

THERAPY ALL THE TIME TO GET THE KNOTS OUT OF MY NECK."

BEEN THERE, DONE THAT, AMEN?

BECAUSE LIFE IS NOT GONNA CHANGE.

NOW SEE, YOU DON'T CLAP WHEN I SAY THAT, BUT THAT'S ALL RIGHT,

I GET IT.

BUT HONESTLY AND TRULY, THERE'S

ALWAYS GONNA BE CIRCUMSTANCES AND SITUATIONS THAT WE DON'T

LIKE AND THERE'S ALWAYS GONNA BE PEOPLE OUT THERE THAT IRRITATE

US, IF IT'S NOT ONE, IT'LL BE ANOTHER.

SO, WE HAVE TO MAKE A DECISION, THE DECISION WE MAKE TONIGHT IS

"I'M GOING TO CHANGE."

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: "I'M GONNA CHANGE MY APPROACH AND MY ATTITUDE,

AND I'M GONNA LEARN TO HANDLE PEOPLE AND SITUATIONS

THE WAY THAT JESUS HANDLED THEM," AMEN.

NOW, SIMPLE FAITH IN GOD IS REALLY THE ANSWER

TO ALL THIS, AND I SAY SIMPLE FAITH BECAUSE REALLY,

YOU JUST MIGHT AS WELL FORGET EVER FIGURING GOD OUT.

SIMPLE FAITH MEANS I BELIEVE FOR NO REASON

OTHER THAN I BELIEVE.

I BELIEVE BECAUSE I'VE DECIDED TO BELIEVE.

TO BE HONEST, IF I WASN'T A BELIEVER, I COULDN'T SEE

ANY REASON AT ALL TO GET UP AND FACE ONE MORE DAY OF MY LIFE

IF I DID NOT HAVE THE ABILITY TO PUT MY TRUST IN GOD.

I'VE ALREADY FOUND OUT THAT YOU CAN'T TRUST ALL PEOPLE.

I'VE ALREADY FOUND OUT MY CIRCUMSTANCES

AREN'T GONNA MAKE ME HAPPY.

THERE'S NOTHING I CAN OWN OR BUY THAT'S GONNA MAKE ME HAPPY,

BUT SIMPLE CHILD-LIKE FAITH IN GOD, I BELIEVE.

I DON'T BELIEVE IT BECAUSE I'VE SEEN IT.

I DON'T BELIEVE IT BECAUSE I FEEL IT.

I JUST BELIEVE IT BECAUSE I DO.

IT'S IN MY HEART.

I KNOW THAT JESUS DIED FOR ME.

I KNOW THAT HE LOVES ME.

I KNOW HE'S ALWAYS WATCHING OVER ME.

THESE ARE THE KIND OF THINGS THAT WE NEED TO REMIND OURSELF

OF ALL TIME.

KEEP THAT SIMPLE CHILD-LIKE FAITH AND YOU'LL GET RID

OF A LOT OF THE UPTIGHT STUFF.

MAINTAIN AN EASYGOING ATTITUDE.

NOW, LET'S TALK ABOUT THE ANOINTING OF EASE.

FIRST OF ALL, LET ME SAY THAT SATAN CANNOT CONTROL YOU AS LONG

AS YOU DON'T LOSE CONTROL.

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: THAT'S ONE OF THOSE THINGS YOU SHOULD WRITE DOWN

AND PUT IT ON YOUR FACEBOOK LATER, NOT DURING THIS MEETING.

"JOYCE SAID--" OR YOU CAN EVEN JUST SAY YOU SAID IT

IF YOU WANT TO, I DON'T KNOW.

SATAN CANNOT CONTROL YOU IF YOU DON'T LOSE CONTROL.

I LIKE TO SAY THAT HE SETS US UP TO GET US UPSET, AMEN?

SO, LET'S LOOK AT TWO SCRIPTURES,

PSALM 94:12 AND 13.

IT'S SO IMPORTANT TO BE ABLE TO STAY CALM, JUST TO STAY

RELAXED AND HAVE AN EASYGOING ATTITUDE AND DON'T GET

ALL UPTIGHT NO MATTER WHAT YOUR CIRCUMSTANCES ARE.

YOU SAY, "WELL, I CAN'T HELP IT.

I JUST LOSE MY TEMPER!"

WELL, IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE THAT WAY IF YOU STUDY THE WORD OF GOD

AND YOU BEGIN TO PRAY ABOUT THIS, AND YOU BEGIN

TO HAVE A DIFFERENT APPROACH.

HOW MANY OF YOU THAT HAVE BEEN VERY, VERY UPTIGHT IN YOUR LIFE

CAN SAY, MAYBE YOU'RE NOT WHERE YOU WANT TO BE

BUT YOU'VE CERTAINLY COME A LONG WAY FROM WHERE YOU USED TO BE?

ME TOO, HALLELUJAH.

AND DAVE IS PROBABLY HAPPIER THAN I AM.

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: HE SAID, "I REMEMBER WHEN I USED TO DRIVE DOWN

THE HIGHWAY AT NIGHT ON THE WAY HOME FROM WORK

THINKING, I WONDER WHAT SHE'LL BE LIKE TONIGHT."

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: YOU KNOW, IT'S NO FUN TO LIVE WITH SOMEBODY

THAT'S UPTIGHT AND TENSE AND STRESSED OUT ALL THE TIME.

PSALM 94:12 AND 13, "BLESSED (HAPPY, FORTUNATE, TO BE ENVIED)

IS THE MAN WHOM YOU DISCIPLINE AND INSTRUCT, O LORD, AND TEACH

OUT OF YOUR LAW, THAT YOU MAY GIVE HIM POWER TO KEEP HIMSELF

CALM, THAT YOU MAY GIVE HIM POWER TO KEEP HIMSELF CALM."

YOU KNOW, I ALMOST ENJOY IT NOW WHEN THE ENEMY TRIES TO PUSH

MY BUTTONS AND GET ME TO ACT UGLY AND I CAN CALL ON THE POWER

OF GOD AND JUST SAY, "BEEN THERE, DONE THAT,

RAN AROUND THAT MOUNTAIN A THOUSAND TIMES,

NOT GOING THERE AGAIN.

I'M STAYING CALM."

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: IT'S ALMOST LIKE A FUN GAME TO PLAY.

"THAT YOU MAY GIVE HIM THE POWER TO KEEP HIMSELF CALM

IN THE DAYS OF ADVERSITY."

SEE, WE WAIT FOR OUR CIRCUMSTANCES TO KEEP US

CALM OR FOR OTHER PEOPLE TO BEHAVE IN A WAY WHERE WE

CAN STAY CALM, BUT THIS SAYS THAT WE ARE GONNA CONTINUE

TO HAVE THINGS HAPPEN IN OUR LIFE UNTIL WE LEARN

TO KEEP OURSELVES CALM.

EVERY TRIAL THAT YOU HAVE IS AN OPPORTUNITY TO PRACTICE.

"TO KEEP HIMSELF CALM IN THE DAYS OF ADVERSITY,

UNTIL THE [INEVITABLE] PIT OF CORRUPTION IS DUG

FOR THE WICKED."

JOHN 14, VERSE 1, "JESUS SAID, 'DO NOT LET YOUR HEARTS

BE TROUBLED, (DISTRESSED, AGITATED,) UPTIGHT."

THAT'S THE AMPLIFIED AMPLIFIED VERSION.

"YOU BELIEVE IN AND ADHERE TO AND TRUST IN AND RELY ON GOD;

BELIEVE IN AND ADHERE TO AND TRUST IN AND RELY ON ME."

SO, WHAT IS HE SAYING THE ANSWER IS TO ALL THIS UPTIGHT STUFF?

TRUST GOD.

JUST TRUST GOD.

"WELL, WHAT IS GOD GONNA DO?" I DON'T KNOW,

BUT HE'S PRETTY SMART.

HE KNOWS EVERYTHING.

HE'S EVERYWHERE ALL THE TIME.

HE AS ALL POWER.

BEFORE YOU EVER GOT TO WHERE YOU'RE AT, GOD ALREADY KNEW YOU

WERE GONNA GET HERE.

HE'S NOT SURPRISED BY YOUR SITUATION

OR MY SITUATION.

JUST STAY CALM.

"IN THE WORLD, YOU WILL HAVE TRIBULATION," JESUS SAID, "CHEER

UP, I HAVE OVERCOME THE WORLD.

IN THE WORLD, YOU WILL HAVE TRIBULATION, CHEER UP,

I HAVE OVERCOME THE WORLD."

NOW, YOU KNOW, ALL OF LIFE IS NOT JUST ONE TROUBLE

AFTER ANOTHER.

WE HAVE LOTS OF GREAT DAYS AND DAYS THAT ARE JUST AMAZING.

MATTER OF FACT, IF I LOOK AT MY LIFE, I'D HAVE TO SAY

MY WHOLE LIFE IS AMAZING.

BUT YET, JUST AS A THING TO DO TO PROVE A POINT, I KEPT

A RECORD FOR ABOUT SIX WEEKS STARTING IN, LIKE, FEBRUARY

OR MARCH OF THIS YEAR IN THE BACK OF MY JOURNAL

OF TROUBLESOME, IRRITATING THINGS THAT HAPPENED TO ME

THAT COULD HAVE REALLY UPSET ME AND PUT ME OVER THE EDGE

AND RUIN MY DAY HAD I NOT DECIDED--EVERYBODY SAY,

"I DECIDED," TO STAY CALM AND TRUST GOD.

TRUSTING GOD IS AN AMAZING, AMAZING PRIVILEGE,

AND THAT'S YOUR PRIVILEGE AS A BELIEVER IN JESUS CHRIST.

YOU GET TO TRUST GOD IN EVERY SITUATION.

YOU DON'T HAVE TO TRUST GOD, YOU DON'T EVEN HAVE TO TRY

TO TRUST GOD.

YOU HAVE THE PRIVILEGE OF TRUSTING GOD.

YOU CAN BELIEVE WHEN YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO, THAT GOD

KNOWS AND HE'S GOT IT COVERED.

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: HALLELUJAH, WHOO-HOO.

JOHN 14, VERSE 27, "PEACE I LEAVE WITH YOU; MY [OWN] PEACE

I NOW GIVE AND BEQUEATH UNTO YOU.

NOT AS THE WORLD GIVES DO I GIVE TO YOU."

WE DON'T HAVE THE KIND OF PEACE THE WORLD HAS THAT IS BASED

ON CIRCUMSTANCES.

WE HAVE A DIFFERENT QUALITY OF PEACE.

WE HAVE THE PEACE OF GOD, THE PEACE THAT PASSES

UNDERSTANDING.

"NOT AS THE WORLD GIVES DO I GIVE TO YOU.

DO NOT--" NOW, WATCH THIS LAST PART, AMPLIFIED TRANSLATION, "DO

NOT LET YOUR HEARTS BE TROUBLED, NEITHER LET THEM BE AFRAID.

[STOP ALLOWING YOURSELVES TO BE AGITATED AND DISTURBED

AND UPTIGHT; AND DO NOT PERMIT YOURSELVES TO BE FEARFUL

AND INTIMIDATED AND COWARDLY AND UNSETTLED.]"

LET'S BACK IT UP, I WANT YOU TO SEE IT AGAIN.

COME ON, GOD'S GIVEN US A RESPONSIBILITY.

STOP ALLOWING YOURSELVES.

SEE, WE JUST KIND OF, "WELL, I WANT THIS TO GO AWAY.

I JUST WANT THIS TO GO AWAY.

I DON'T WANT TO FEEL THIS WAY."

WELL THEN, STOP IT.

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: IF YOU DON'T WANT TO SIT AROUND AND FEEL SORRY

FOR YOURSELF ALL DAY, THEN GO OUT AND DO SOMETHING.

GET YOURSELF OFF YOUR MIND.

GO BE A BLESSING TO SOMEBODY ELSE.

DON'T WASTE ANOTHER DAY JUST SITTING AROUND FEELING

SORRY FOR YOURSELF.

[AUDIENCE CHEERING]

JOYCE: IF YOU'RE UPSET BECAUSE YOU GOT

TWO OR THREE AREAS IN YOUR BODY THAT HURT OR DON'T WORK RIGHT

ANYMORE, THINK ABOUT ALL THE THINGS THAT DO WORK RIGHT

AND GOOD.

FIGHT THE DEVIL.

FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT OF FAITH.

YOU CAN FIGHT THE DEVIL AND WIN EVERY TIME IF YOU JUST KEEP

A GOOD ATTITUDE.

THE DEVIL CANNOT DEFEAT YOU IF YOU WILL KEEP

A GOOD ATTITUDE, AMEN?

STOP ALLOWING YOURSELVES TO BE AGITATED AND DISTURBED

AND DO NOT PERMIT YOURSELVES.

AND, YOU KNOW, THE BEST WAY TO STOP YOURSELF FROM GETTING

REALLY UPSET IS WHEN YOU FIRST START TO FEEL UPSET.

1 PETER CHAPTER 5 SAYS, "RESIST THE DEVIL AT HIS ONSET,"

AND THAT'S ALWAYS BEEN A VERY IMPORTANT SCRIPTURE

TO ME BECAUSE, HOW MANY OF YOU KNOW THAT SOMETIMES

IF YOU GET MAD ENOUGH, THEN THERE'S NO TURNING BACK?

BUT IF YOU'LL DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT WHEN YOU FIRST START FEELING

THAT WAY, IT'S MUCH EASIER TO STOP IT THEN.

SO, WHEN YOU FIRST START FEELING THAT UPTIGHT--ANYBODY KNOW

WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT?

DON'T I DO THAT GOOD...?

YOU KNOW WHAT, YOU CAN STOP RIGHT THERE AND GO,

[SIGHING]

"GOD'S IN CONTROL.

HE LOVES ME.

THIS WASN'T MY PLAN.

MAN'S MIND PLANS HIS WAY, BUT GOD DIRECTS HIS STEPS.

STAYING HAPPY, BEEN AROUND THE UNHAPPY MOUNTAIN,

NOT TAKING ANOTHER TRIP AROUND THAT MOUNTAIN.

FORGET IT, DEVIL, YOU'RE NOT GONNA CONTROL ME."

GO HAVE A LITTLE CHAT WITH YOURSELF.

I TELL PEOPLE PRETTY OFTEN, GO HAVE A MEETING WITH YOURSELF.

NOW, WHEN WE TALK ABOUT AN ANOINTING OF EASE--I LOVE

THAT THOUGHT, AN ANOINTING OF EASE, A HOLY EASE THAT WE

CAN HAVE IN OUR LIFE, NOT A LAZY EASE, NOT LAYING AROUND

ON THE COUCH WATCHING SOAP OPERAS AND EATING

DOUGHNUTS ALL DAY.

THAT'S NOT WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT.

I'M TALKING ABOUT EVERYTHING BEING EASY.

I'M TALKING ABOUT A HOLY EASE.

LET'S LOOK AT A COUPLE OF SCRIPTURES, PSALM 119:45,

WE'RE JUST GONNA PUT THESE UP REAL QUICK AND LET YOU

SEE THEM.

"AND I WILL WALK AT LIBERTY AND AT EASE, FOR I HAVE SOUGHT

AND INQUIRED FOR [AND DESPERATELY REQUIRED]

YOUR PRECEPTS."

NOW, BEFORE WE TAKE THAT AWAY, LET'S LOOK AT WHY THE PSALMIST

WAS SAYING THAT HE COULD WALK IN LIBERTY AND AT EASE BECAUSE

HE WAS SEEKING GOD AND GOD'S WAY OF LIVING AND BEING AND DOING.

PSALM 25, VERSE 13, "HE HIMSELF SHALL DWELL AT EASE

AND HIS OFFSPRING SHALL INHERIT THE LAND."

TURN TO THE PERSON NEXT TO YOU AND SAY, "LIGHTEN UP, WILL YOU?"

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: QUIT BEING SO INTENSE, AMEN?

NOW, LET'S TALK ABOUT A LITTLE EASE FOR OUR SOULS.

NOW REMEMBER, YOUR SOUL IS YOUR MIND, YOUR WILL,

AND YOUR--YOUR MIND, YOUR WILL, YOUR EMOTIONS, AND YOUR SOUL IS

THIS INNER PART OF YOU.

MY SOUL IS MY INNER PART AND REALLY, THAT'S WHERE OUR JOY

IS AT.

IT'S NOT--YOU KNOW, YOU CAN BE HAPPY IF EVERYTHING THAT'S

HAPPENING SUITS YOU, BUT THEN WHEN IT'S NOT SUITING YOU,

YOU BECOME UNHAPPY.

BUT, YOU KNOW, WE HAVE THE JOY OF THE LORD, BUT THERE'S NO

SUCH--WE NEVER USE THE PHRASE, "I HAVE BECOME UNJOYED."

YOU KNOW, YOU CAN BE HAPPY AND UNHAPPY, BUT YOU'RE NOT

JOYED AND UNJOYED BECAUSE THE JOY OF THE LORD

IS SOMETHING THAT WE CAN HAVE ALL THE TIME BECAUSE IT'S NOT

EVER BASED ON WHAT'S HAPPENING, IT'S BASED ON WHAT WE KNOW

AND WHAT WE BELIEVE.

COME ON, IT'S BASED ON WHAT WE BELIEVE.

MY JOY IS BASED ON WHAT I BELIEVE.

MY HAPPINESS IS BASED ON WHAT'S HAPPENING, COME ON NOW.

MY HAPPINESS IS BASED ON WHAT'S HAPPENING, BUT MY JOY

IS BASED ON WHAT I BELIEVE.

THAT'S ANOTHER GOOD ONE TO SEND OFF TO YOUR FRIENDS.

SO, LET'S TALK FOR A MINUTE ABOUT GETTING SOME MENTAL EASE.

HOW MANY OF YOU'VE GOT A BRAIN THAT CAN USE A BREAK?

ALL RIGHT, LET'S TALK FOR A MINUTE

ABOUT NOT REASONING.

YOU KNOW, I WAS, OH, MY GOSH, I WAS ADDICTED TO REASONING,

LORD HAVE MERCY.

I THINK I LIVED IN SO MUCH FEAR IN MY CHILDHOOD AND JUST REALLY

DIDN'T HAVE ANYBODY TO PROPERLY TAKE CARE OF ME THAT I JUST FELT

THAT I HAD TO HAVE EVERYTHING FIGURED OUT,

NOT ONLY IN MY LIFE, BUT EVERYBODY ELSE'S LIFE.

AND I WANT TO TELL YOU WHAT, IT IS A FULL-TIME JOB

TRYING TO RUN THE WORLD.

I MEAN, IT JUST--IT WILL JUST ABSOLUTELY WEAR YOU OUT.

I NOT ONLY WAS CONCERNED ABOUT MY STUFF, I WAS CONCERNED

ABOUT EVERYBODY ELSE'S TOO.

AND I DID A LOT OF REASONING.

THE BIBLE SAYS IN PROVERBS 3:5 THROUGH 7,

"TRUST IN THE LORD WITH ALL YOUR HEART AND MIND,

YOUR HEART AND MIND."

WE SAY, "WELL, I'M TRUSTING GOD."

WELL, WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH YOUR MIND?

"TRUST IN THE LORD WITH ALL YOUR HEART AND MIND AND LEAN NOT

OR RELY NOT ON YOUR OWN INSIGHT OR UNDERSTANDING."

AND I LOVE THIS NEXT ONE.

"IN ALL YOUR WAYS, ACKNOWLEDGE HIM

AND HE WILL DIRECT YOUR PATH."

IT'S JUST THIS SIMPLE, "GOD, I HAVE

A REALLY STINKY SITUATION HERE.

I'M NOT GONNA TRY TO FIGURE IT OUT.

I'M ASKING YOU TO GIVE ME INSIGHT.

YOU SHOW ME WHAT I SHOULD DO

IN THIS SITUATION, AND UNTIL YOU DO, I'M GONNA STAY IN REST."

THERE'S NO SHAME OR NO EMBARRASSMENT IN SAYING,

"I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO.

I DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO."

EVERYBODY'S ALWAYS ASKING US, "WELL, WHAT ARE YOU GONNA DO?

WHAT ARE YOU GONNA DO? WHAT ARE YOU GONNA DO?

WHAT ARE YOU GONNA DO?"

I HONESTLY THINK THAT THE DEVIL

SENDS OUT A LITTLE DEMON EVERY MORNING TO SIT

ON EACH ONE OF OUR SHOULDERS SCREAMING IN OUR EAR ALL DAY,

"WHAT ARE YOU GONNA DO?

WHAT ARE YOU GONNA DO? WHAT ARE YOU GONNA DO?

WHAT ARE YOU GONNA DO?"

YOU EVEN TRY TO REST

AND THE ENEMY'S GONNA SAY, "YOU NEED TO DO SOMETHING,

YOU NEED TO DO SOMETHING.

WHAT ARE YOU GONNA DO? WHAT ARE YOU GONNA DO?"

WELL, HAS ANYBODY EVER NOTICED

THAT WE'RE NOT CALLED HUMAN DOINGS?

I ACTUALLY THOUGHT, "I WONDER IF THAT'D MAKE A GOOD BOOK."

ARE YOU A HUMAN BEING OR A HUMAN DOING?

BECAUSE WE DON'T KNOW HOW TO JUST BE AND LET GOD BE GOD.

IN EPHESIANS 6 THE BIBLE SAYS, "DO ALL THE THAT THE CRISIS

DEMANDS AND THEN STAND FIRMLY IN YOUR PLACE."

WELL YES, IF YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO, BY ALL MEANS DO IT.

BUT IF YOU DON'T, STAND FIRM ABIDING IN CHRIST KNOWING

THAT HE WILL NOT LET YOU DOWN.

HE MIGHT NOT SHOW UP EARLY,

BUT HE WON'T BE LATE.

HOW MANY OF YOU FOUND OUT THAT EVEN THOUGH GOD DOESN'T

ALWAYS DO EVERYTHING YOU WANT HIM TO, HE DOES

ALWAYS COME THROUGH?

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: I MEAN IT'S THE TRUTH.

EVEN THOUGH HE DOESN'T DO EVERYTHING I WANT HIM TO DO,

HE DOES COME THROUGH FOR ME.

IT IS A GREAT PRIVILEGE TO BE ABLE TO TRUST GOD.

WE DON'T, "I'M TRYING TO TRUST GOD.

WELL, I GUESS I'LL JUST HAVE TO TRUST GOD."

NO, IT'S A PRIVILEGE TO TRUST GOD, AND DON'T DO THAT AFTER

YOU'VE DONE EVERYTHING ELSE, DO THAT FIRST.

IN EVERY SITUATION SAY, "I'M NOT GONNA GET BOTHERED ABOUT THAT.

I'M GONNA TRUST GOD."

AND THEN VOICE THAT TRUST, RELEASE YOUR FAITH

THROUGH PRAYING OR SAYING OR TAKING ACTION.

IT WAS SUCH A RELIEF TO ME WHEN I FINALLY WAS DELIVERED

FROM HAVING TO FIGURE EVERYTHING OUT,

FROM HAVING TO KNOW EVERYTHING.

AND SEE, THE PROBLEM IS IS A LOT OF TIMES YOU THINK

YOU GOT SOMETHING FIGURED OUT, AT LEAST THIS IS WHAT I FOUND.

OH, I THOUGHT I HAD IT IN THE SLOT, BOY, THIS IS WHAT'S

GONNA HAPPEN, AND THEN THAT WOULDN'T BE WHAT HAPPENED

AT ALL.

AND SO REALLY, GOD JUST FINALLY GOT ACROSS TO ME, "YOU THINK YOU

KNOW SO MUCH AND YOU DON'T KNOW.

YOU DON'T KNOW.

YOU'RE NOT AS SMART AS YOU THINK YOU ARE."

WE DON'T HAVE TO KNOW AS LONG AS WE KNOW THE ONE

WHO DOES KNOW.

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: REALLY, WALKING IN FAITH VERY OFTEN REQUIRES

TRUSTING GOD ONE DAY AT A TIME, AND THAT'S KIND OF

A SCARY THING.

THE EXAMPLE THAT WE FIND IN THE OLD TESTAMENT IS

VERY RELEVANT TO US TODAY IN EVERY SITUATION OF OUR LIFE

WHERE THEY HAD NO FOOD.

THEY HAD NO WAY OF PROVIDING FOOD, AND GOD MIRACULOUSLY

PROVIDED FOOD CALLED MANNA,

WHICH FELL FROM HEAVEN EVERY MORNING, AND THEY WERE

COMMANDED THAT THEY COULD ONLY GATHER ENOUGH FOR ONE DAY.

IF THEY GOT MORE THAN FOR ONE DAY, IT WOULD ROT,

ROT AND STINK.

AND SO, MAYBE I COULD JUST TAKE A LITTLE SCRIPTURAL LICENSE HERE

FOR A MINUTE AND SAY, AS LONG AS YOU TRY TO GATHER MORE GRACE

AND MORE ANSWERS THAN WHAT YOU NEED FOR TODAY,

YOUR LIFE IS GONNA BE ROTTEN AND IT'S GONNA STINK.

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: AMEN?

IT'S ENOUGH TO JUST KNOW THAT TODAY MY NEEDS ARE MET.

AND, YOU KNOW, EVEN IF WE THINK WE'VE GOT EVERYTHING SECURE

FOR THE FUTURE, WE DON'T KNOW WHAT'S GONNA HAPPEN.

I MEAN, YOU COULD FEEL SO FINANCIALLY SECURE,

YOU COULD HAVE A GAZILLION DOLLARS

IN THE BANK, AND WE ALL KNOW THAT THAT COULD ALL CAVE IN

OVERNIGHT.

THAT'S WHY THE BIBLE SAYS, "DON'T PUT YOUR TRUST IN MONEY

AND THINGS AND THE WORLD AND GOVERNMENT."

WE NEED TO PUT OUR TRUST IN GOD, IN GOD.

"IN GOD ALONE, I PLACE MY TRUST."

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: EXCESSIVE THINKING CAN DRIVE YOU ABSOLUTELY MAD.

"WELL, YOU KNOW, I'M JUST A BIG THINKER.

YES, I'M JUST A DEEP THINKER."

WELL, IF YOU'RE LIKE I WAS, YOU'VE GOTTEN SO DEEP YOU

DON'T EVEN KNOW WHERE YOU'RE AT ANYMORE.

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: LET YOUR SOUL HAVE A VACATION.

LET'S TALK ABOUT ANOTHER AREA OF THE MIND REAL QUICK.

HOW ABOUT NOT BEING DOUBLE MINDED ANYMORE?

HOW ABOUT MAKING A DECISION AND STICKING WITH IT?

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: WELL, I THINK I'LL DO THIS.

"WELL, NO MAYBE I'LL DO THAT.

WELL, NO MAYBE I SHOULD GO BACK TO THIS.

WELL NO, I THINK I'LL DO THIS.

WELL, I DON'T KNOW MAYBE I'LL DO THIS.

WELL, I'M AFRAID TO MAKE ANY DECISION BECAUSE I'M AFRAID

I'LL MAKE THE WRONG DECISION."

AND THEN WE CALL UP EVERYBODY WE KNOW, "WHAT DO YOU THINK I

SHOULD DO?

WHAT DO YOU THINK I SHOULD DO?" THEY DON'T EVEN KNOW

WHAT THEY'RE DOING!

THEY'RE NOT QUALIFIED TO TELL YOU WHAT TO DO.

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: IF YOU WANT TO KNOW WHAT TO DO, GET WITH GOD AND GET

SOME REAL WISDOM.

YES, THANK YOU, JESUS.

MAKE DECISIONS.

DON'T BE SO INSECURE THAT YOU CAN'T MAKE A DECISION.

YOU KNOW, IF YOU MAKE A DECISION AND YOU'RE WRONG, YOU'LL

SURVIVE, YOU'LL JUST BE WRONG.

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: AND IT WON'T KILL YA, YOU'LL JUST LEARN FROM

YOUR MISTAKE AND THEN YOU'LL BE BETTER EQUIPPED THE NEXT

TIME TO MAKE A DECISION.

ISN'T THAT BRILLIANT?

JOYCE: HAPPINESS IS VERY OFTEN BASED ON WHAT'S HAPPENING

IN OUR LIVES AND IT GETS AFFECTED BY OUR CIRCUMSTANCES,

BUT JOY FROM THE LORD IS A TOTALLY DIFFERENT THING.

IT'S OURS ALL THE TIME AND IT NEVER GOES AWAY.

JUST TAKE A LITTLE BIT OF TIME TO THINK ABOUT WHAT JESUS

HAS DONE FOR YOU AND THAT YOU'RE GONNA LIVE

FOREVER IN A WONDERFUL PLACE SEEING HIM FACE TO FACE.

How to Transition from Beginner to ADVANCED English! | Upgrade your English Level - Duration: 10:16.

Hi and welcome back to Love English I'm Leila and today I'm teaching you nothing!

That's right I'm not going to be teaching you anything!

instead I've got a guest on our channel a woman that I met a few months ago for

the first time and was incredibly impressed by her level of English, I was

even more impressed when I found out how long she'd been living in the country (England)

and that she had a YouTube channel in English, Successful Living. This woman is

a massive inspiration she's a motivational speaker and she really

wants to help you speak to an advanced level as she does, and one thing you will

notice is she can speak very fast so in a minute Gamze from Successful Living

is going to explain how she became an advanced speaker of English, she is

fluent, she is one of the most fluent speakers I have ever met! We actually met

at YouTube space she was also a winner as Sabrah and I were, of Nextup Women To

Watch. Gamze really is a massive inspiration and I think her five tips on

how to go from beginner to advanced are really going to help you boost your

confidence and find a way to reach the level of English the most people want.

Often that you find that when you get to intermediate level and especially upper

intermediate you plateau it means that the progress you are making feels a lot

less and often you may find that you for a while are making little progress.

Boosting your language up to that next level therefore her five tips are really

going to help you and make you realize that if you've got the motivation the

drive and the techniques as well as some useful YouTube English teachers then you

really can become fluent in English and reach that advanced level don't forget

to subscribe at the end of the not only to this channel if you haven't

already but to Gamze's channel On Successful Living, something that will

inspire you and motivate you in whatever you are doing in your life.

I also collabed with in gums ear and you can watch another lesson over on her

channel on my seven tips to help you learn English so over tagong say hello

love English family thank you so much for having me here and thank you Leila

and Sabrah for having me here to talk about my top five tips about speaking

English. As you can tell I'm not a native English speaker I've never been to the

US more than a week and I've never lived in an English-speaking country before

until I moved to the UK eight months ago. So my English doesn't come from practice

or living in an english-speaking country these are the things that I did to

understand a little bit better and to talk a little bit better and I hope they

will be helpful for you. My first tip is about listening how do I

understand people who talk really really fast and in really complicated accents

and honestly I think this is the easiest thing to do I don't really try to

understand every single word they use I try to understand the most important

words than a sentence for instance the verb for instance the object for

instance the subject. I'm not trying to understand every single bit but from

these things from especially the word I understand what the gis,t what the

general idea of the whole conversation or the whole sentences and that really

helps and the second thing about this is I asked a lot I asked a lot what they

mean what they said so I can understand what words they use and I can learn

actually new words what I try to do the most is when somebody uses a sentence I

ask them to repeat it for me or I repeat the sentence myself excluding the words

I didn't get and I ask them to repeat those words and I repeat the words

afterwards three to five times to actually ask if I'm pronouncing it

correctly if I practice three to five times in front of a person the new word

I've just learned it kind of sticks better to my head so I actually learn

while listening to fast speakers number two is about accent as you can

I have a slight American accent and that only only only came from the fact that I

listened and watched a lot of American TV I'm not telling you to watch TV for

five hours a day this will not help you to get the accent you want what helps is

actually repeating after that person so what I used to do when I was a little

kid I always listened I paused or if I didn't I would just speak over them and

I tried to pronounce things as I heard them for instance I had a friend over

here last week actually this is a very recent example but she's British and she

was talking about jobs so she's using the word job and I'm pronouncing it ass

job so in the meantime all she was talking I was repeating in my head job

job job job so it kind of helps you to understand how each word is pronounced

in each accent and if you're inclining towards learning a certain accent you

can actually repeat those words after people after watching TV or videos or

Netflix or anything really that you enjoy watching at the same time my third

tip about learning English as a foreigner is about speaking people

always tell me that I'm very confident when I'm speaking English they tell me

that I have sound like a native and that's only because I'm not afraid of

making mistakes I do make mistakes because I have learned from my mistakes

so when I told I don't think I don't think in my native language I just think

in English and I just say the words out and if I'm making a mistake

I actually ask my friends to fix my mistakes or when I'm making mistakes

somebody would tell me oh no no that's not pronounced that way or in the

grammar is not really working that way so I actually again use this as a

learning opportunity instead of feeling shy or embarrassed or anything like that

this is the key I think to speak confidently and fluently after you

remove that barrier of criticizing yourself I think you will be able to

speak more fluently and honestly everybody knows that you're not a native

speaker so don't be afraid of making mistakes just talk absolutely as fast as

you can and ask people that you trust with your

to fix you tip number four is about vocabulary I actually have a really good

tip for you guys what I used to do when I was in middle school I believe was to

learn 20 new words in a week of course it was a part of my English class in

middle school our teacher used to give us 20 words in the beginning of the week

and every Friday we would have a quiz from those 20 words so every week we

were learning 20 new words but not just the word itself we were learning the

translation in our language the meaning of that word in English and how to use

it properly in a sentence so an example sentence I think from these three things

the most important and useful thing to know is actually the meaning of that one

word in English instead of constantly translating back and forth in your head

if you know the meaning of a certain word it would be easier for you to

include that in a sentence where it's needed I think 20 words a week is a good

place to start but if you're too busy you can try five to ten you can put that

list somewhere that you see every day you can put it in your toilet you can

put it in your office you can tape it on your desk every day so you can practice

that throughout the whole week and in the end you can ask one of your friends

still actually quiz you from five of those so it's basically like having an

accountability partner for learning new words in English and number five is how

to find the motivation to learn English this is my area I love talking about

motivation and success in general I think it's super important to stay

motivated when you're learning a new skill especially learning a new language

just like I said before being confident is really important to stay motivated

but also if you have friends who aren't also trying to learn English with you

that will really help staying motivated together somebody else is also going

through that with you so you can have some basically buddy solar together

which you can help each other to stay motivated when one of you feels oh my

god it's not working I'm not improving the other one can lift you up so that's

a really good way to go but I want to give you another tip as well I'm sure

you have some favorite English movies some favorite English songs some

favorite English codes or books or anything like that for me when I lack

motivation in life engine I have a stack of these things movies

I'm of course I love songs I love and I always go back to them and listen to

them when I'm feeling a little down if you know what I mean so when you feel

like you're unmotivated to learn English go listen to that English song that you

love so much and you can actually sing too so you will feel better when you

sing a song in English and you hear yourself able to sync able to pronounce

able to remember the words I think you will feel immediately motivated to speak

more so singing is really helpful and is also fun and I think having fun in this

process of learning English will also help you keep motivated so these are my

top five tips about learning English I hope they were helpful and thank you so

much for having me here once again and hopefully see you back on my channel bye

The Tragic Reason Why Gypsy Sisters Was Canceled - Duration: 3:47.

It would be tough to be totally prepared for the hard-partying ways of the women in TLC's

Gypsy Sisters.

But it looks like even they couldn't always handle their rough-and-tumble lifestyles.

Here's what was going on behind the scenes, and the tragic reason why Gypsy Sisters was

ultimately canceled.

A tragic ending

When Gypsy Sisters went off the air, the "official" story was that low ratings were to blame.

However, many fans believe that the show was canceled in light of a tragic event involving

star Mellie Stanley.

In July 2015, TMZ reported that Mellie and her husband, Skott, had gotten into a heated

argument.

According to court documents, police were called to the home, where Mellie told officers,

"[Skott] went crazy, picked up the dog and slung her across the kitchen as hard as he

could."

Inside, police found the body of the small dog.

Journal News would later report that Skott had been arraigned and charged with a felony

count of animal cruelty, causing death.

But that wasn't the only drama going on.

Here's what else was happening behind the scenes.

Start a fight, get a show

It may not be a well-known fact, but it's not the most surprising either - Gypsy Sisters

came to be thanks to an all-out brawl.

And if you were a fan of My Big Fat American Gypsy Wedding, you may have seen it and not

even realized you were witnessing the sisters' big break.

"If she comes out here or comes over here and looks at me, I swear to God.

I'm gonna f---in kill her."

Nettie Stanley described the fight that occurred prior to Gypsy Sisters, telling Secret TV

Club,

"That's when Mellie fought the bride's cousin on the courtroom steps."

Is it really any wonder the Stanley sisters and their cousins soon got a spinoff?

In love and war

"Sure we love to fight.

But we always forgive and forget.

Until next time."

While the sisters definitely know how to throw down, Nettie insists those fights don't change

how the women feel about each other.

She told Channel Guide,

"No matter how much you fight, […] a family's love is a big bond and a gypsy family's bond

is so big and enormous, that there is nothing too big to destroy that bond."

So, even though Kayla and Nettie famously got into it in Season 2, they worked out their

differences throughout the third season, and all was right in the Gypsy Sisters world…

for a hot minute.

Mellie's surprising news

In 2013, the same year Gypsy Sisters premiered, a wild and crazy 24-year-old Mellie surprised

everyone by having a baby.

"It's true.

I'm pregnant."

She told Radar Online,

"I didn't plan on having a baby, but it was one drunk night, and I got pregnant."

But accidental or not, no one can deny Mellie's love for her son, Richard.

"I've never loved anything as much as I love him, and I would not trade him for anything

in this world."

When asked by Carl's Jukebox the following year what the most satisfying part of the

show was, Mellie said,

"The time that it gives me to spend with Little Richard and the rest of my drama filled crazy

family!

But most importantly, l am in a better situation to take care of myself and Lil Richard!"

"I miss my fat bastard, a lot."

She loved being a mom so much, she had two more kids: girls named Brandywine, and Divinity

Rose.

Nettie's devastating loss

While the women of Gypsy Sisters worked through some garden-variety difficulties on the show,

true tragedy touched the family in 2015 when Nettie's 22-year-old stepson passed.

TMZ reported that Rocky Stanley - who didn't appear on the show - was stabbed

in the parking lot of a YMCA in Tennessee.

He was rushed to the hospital, and passed shortly after.

A suspect turned himself in, and was arrested, but was later found not guilty.

Gypsy Sisters, the sequel?

Gypsy Sisters fans felt ripple of hope in 2017 when Nettie took to Facebook to share

a screengrab of a convo between herself and Kirsty Smith, a producer for Firecracker Films.

Starcasm reported that Smith told Nettie via text, that there was interest in offering

Nettie her own spinoff show - and that there were no meetings with any of the other Gypsy

Sisters stars.

Nettie reportedly also posted a since deleted update on the status of the Gypsy Sisters

women on January 1st, 2017, saying she would be "divorcing" her sisters for good.

"Drama be gone."

But we'd place bets on that gypsy drama being alive and well, with a network deal, or not.

No Food Diet Day 4 | Weight Loss Vlog [88] - Duration: 7:59.

hi everyone its Mieka fasting weight loss

it is Monday December 24th 531 8 a.m. I no longer sleep in anymore I'm up early

I've been up for a while I have energy I'm feeling good today is day 88 of my

weight loss journey and it's day 4 of my no food diet these are the results and

something really cool just happen can't was not cool team arts going out of

business I blame Amazon I blamed Amazon everyone

going out of business

Kmart had 60% off I've went about 3 times over the last two or three weeks

because they keep reducing their prices I haven't been in like over a week I

don't know if they reduced it or they're closed

I bought some every last pants because all of my like workout pants and that's

all I had was workout pants and I have a pair of jeans that I brought from their

size 14 they're loose no sixteen so I probably am in a size 14

jeans now these pants I don't know if you could see these pants can you see

these are large like they're not even tight

they're loose like they're spaced you see all that space and a large that's

crazy okay yeah I have a little tight space

right here okay and then my sister-in-law gave me a new scarf I like

it because it's so soft very very soft I like it okay um let's see

so yesterday was day four no food diet that's what I'm calling it today

I did cheat as far as I didn't only have snake juice

I had diet soda and I had flavored ice like that ice water flavored water I had

that too it's bad but I don't think I'm gonna stop those things cuz my weight

loss is the same and I'm doing this for weight loss fasting for weight loss

that's what I'm doing so as I've said before if you're doing it work for

cleansing for healing do not add these zero calorie drinks but I'm doing it for

pure weight loss right now um yesterday exercise I did nine I've been giving my

body a rest I feel good I'm still losing weight I am

really excited about not having any work for a few days after Christmas man I'm

gonna take at least two days off and I'm hoping to do a dry fast because I'm

gonna eat tomorrow not I want to eat the Lakers are playing Golden State Warriors

two teams I really love and that's gonna be exciting to me and it's sad but I

want to eat a meal with it it's gonna make the game even better to me and two

of my two little kids will watch with me and that's gonna be what we do on

tomorrow December 25th we don't do Christmas but that's gonna

be our little celebration so I went shopping yesterday and I'm trying to

stay at 500 calories but some people are not gonna be too happy with what I'm

eating but it's gonna be a little carb and it's mmm I don't know there's gonna

be 500 calories but I'm gonna be very mindful and I'm very strategic one part

of my plate is gonna be celery so like I'm really trying to be I'm trying to

get a bang for my calorie so very nutrient

very I don't know I don't know what to call it but the calories are really

smart so I'm gonna have a big plate of food and it still might be 500 calories

we'll see but then I'm gonna have to do a dry fast I'm gonna do at least to dry

fast before January 1st because I'm still trying to get my 30 day challenge

results it'll at least be 30 pounds cuz I started the 30 day challenge of 243

and as of yesterday okay that's 20 pounds I could at least

lose 30 in 30 days cuz I still have eight days left okay I just have to make

sure I don't gain a lot and I have to exercise with it oh my gosh so that yeah

anyway let's see my weight and I did the same thing with the camera like I'm

pretty sure I know what I am I forgot to write it down again so day 88 of my

weight loss journey man and someone told me today that they start their day with

me every day and that's so exciting I appreciate it and that's motivational to

me to do better because if I did good the day before and you watch me every

morning maybe that I hope you do better that day to probably most people are not

gonna do good tomorrow so I might get a pass on that but I'm still gonna eat

definitely less than a thousand calories it might be between 500 and a thousand

but no more than a thousand plus exercise okay this is what happens when

you keep going I was 273 point to 88 days ago 88 days ago oh my gosh like

that's not even a lot of time 30 day challenge need 23 day for no food diet

weight loss results today I am two twenty two point six that's one minus

one point eight I think man I cannot do math on my calculator that's

yeah I think that's 1.8 um so my post office job is not done that's what I'm

up early I don't start now but there's still mill people still trying to get

that mail for Christmas it's not gonna get there tomorrow if I go sort it right

now and I think I have work there Wednesday

which is kind of cool because I'll get a whole nother check it'll be tiny but it

hey money's money um that's it keep going um try to be a little mindful

tomorrow I know a lot of people most people are celebrating Christmas um and

if you do go crazy so what you have to start back the next day like don't wait

till the first of the year no and if you're gonna have leftovers the day

after um still don't go crazy and add some exercise in on the 20 what the 26

add exercise if you're gonna eat all that food tomorrow just relax and keep

going don't quit and me I'm watching a lot of channels and I'm not seeing your

way or results like get back on it I want to see your videos and keep going

and that's it

Saudi student wanted for murder of Oregon teen fled US in private jet helped by Saudi consulate - Duration: 7:59.

Officials say they are doing everything they can to get a man from Saudi Arabia back in the United States after he fled on what investigators believe to have been an illicit passport on board a private jet with the help of his country's consulate

Abdulrahman Semeer Noorah denied the manslaughter of 15-year-old Fallon Smart who was hit by his gold Lexus when he illegally swerved around stopped traffic letting the teenager cross the road in Portland, Oregon in August 2016

The Portland Community College man went missing June 10, 2017 – just two weeks before he was due to stand trial - and the Saudi government confirmed to US Marshals this July that by June 17 that year he had returned

KSA has no extradition agreement with the USA.'We're doing everything we can to get him back,' Eric Wahlstrom, a supervisory deputy US Marshal in Oregon told Oregon Live

Fresh claims say the Saudi citizen, then 21, packed a bag, was picked up by a private black GMC Yukon XL car that drove him two miles to a sand-and-gravel yard, then he cut off the tracking device on his ankle before beginning his journey back home

He had been given permission from his bail release supervisor, Deputy Kari Kolberg, to study at college that afternoon but that's not where the SUV took him

Kolberg only learned of his disappearance after returning from a weekend trip where she didn't have cell phone service and after contacting the prosecutor, Overstreet, there were fears Noorah had taken his own life

They used sniffer dogs to search a nearby park and the location where his ankle monitor was eventually found

Then surveillance footage of the vehicle he's believed to have escaped in corroborated the story according to a GPS log

Police found a bag packed with clothes, a cell phone and computer at his home. It's unclear why he left it

No flights through the US or Canada showed up with his name leading investigators to believe Saudi Arabia gave him a passport under a different name to cross a border

The consulates in Los Angeles and Washington declined to comment to Oregon Live about Noorah

Noorah's bail had been raised from $280,000 to $1million as he was deemed a flight risk

But it didn't stop him from evading the law as the consulate provided posted $100,000, the 10 per cent needed in the state to be released

As the money was given directly to him it meant the KSA government was not responsible for the full amount owed

However authorities cannot find the individual to collect anyhow.According to records, the country worked with private investigators to handle his case before he vanished

He had to hand over his passport when he paid the amount on September 11, 2016 and remained under house arrest at the home of his US host Terri Stanford as he continued his studies on a scholarship

The Saudi Arabian embassy financially supported Noorah with monthly payments of around $1,800 His host – who has seen many exchange students come through her door - described him as 'one of the kindest boys I've ever met'

Two years ago she said she was worried about his 'mental stability' and 'declining health' as he stopped eating, sleeping and being social before he was due to stand trial

'He suffers immensely from remorse and the effects of his trauma,' she wrote in a letter to his lawyer

Stanford said Noorah began to take prescription medicine and was hospitalized on more than one occasion

She claimed eventually 'he couldn't function' and she believed 'there was no way he was going to survive jail'

It came after his grandmother passed away, his mother became ill and pressure mounted with his exams due to take place a week before the trail start date

Two of his attorneys declined to speak to Oregon Live.Multnomah County prosecutor Shawn Overstreet agreed 'he was not doing well' at the time

Noorah was driving around 50 mph or 60 mph on a suspended license when Smart was killed

Fallon's family are outraged that he has fled after pleas to deny him bail. Her uncle wrote on Facebook last year: 'It seems to me, based on previous facts and strange occurrences, there are strings being pulled for this man

I am not making accusations, but am simply stating facts, and what one might speculate based on those facts

In 2012 the Saudi government paid bail for Oregon first-degree rape suspect Ali Hussain Alhamoud, who was also accused of other sex crimes

On the same day he flew back to his country. In 2015 KSA paid the $100,000 for a male accused of rape in Utah

Monsour Alshammari was later found trying to flee at the US-Mexico border.Saudi Arabia is also believed to have held a squad of 15 men leave the country on a private jet the same day journalist Jamal Khashoggi was murdered at the consulate in Istanbul in October

How to Build a Pitch Deck in Minutes (Slidebean Review) - Duration: 7:36.

I always like this sales process. When it comes to giving presentations and

showing slide decks to your clients to sell them, there are a couple different

schools of thought. The sales process that we like to follow is call #1

is more of an informal back and forth where we're going through

discovery questions and gaining information and then call #2 is

the proposal presentation. During that presentation you take the learnings from

Call #1 and deliver a customized proposal to the client.

In today's video, I want to take one of our proposals that we've used at Lorelia pictures - which is

our video production agency and turn it into a well-designed presentation that

we would give to the client on call #2.

Throughout this video we'll talk through some of the selling process and I'll show you Slidebean which

allows you to create these simple and beautiful slides.

This video was sponsored by Slidebean. The link is down in the description below.

So here's Slidebean. They have a few different templates here.

Let's create an account. I'm just gonna use my Linkedin here.

Okay, that was pretty easy. One button to create an account

And they have a few different pitch deck templates here like this

Airbnb pitch deck that we can check out. Oh this is a really cool experience.

So you create the outline in the app and then when you want to design it, that's

when you pay so you create the content here. Cover, solution with some of this

content down here. It looks like it automatically puts it in.

This is actually cleaner than something like PowerPoint which I like.

I like that you don't actually have to edit it on the slides itself and then here's the design

part of it and then you can unlock the full experience by paying here.

So let's create an actual presentation and I'll run through what these proposals should

look like or what these presentations should look like.

All right. Create new presentation. We're gonna use a template to make it a little easier

Actually, I think we should use the Airbnb template and customize it cause

this is pretty close to what we're doing. So it has 37,000 uses, this is by far the

most popular template on Slidebean as well so let's run through this and I'll

use this great life hack which is - if you want to copy two things, instead of using

two monitors just move each tab over now it's like your screen is split in half. Wow!

Title- The Future of War and then I'll

probably put 90 minute observational documentaries.

So I'll put a little tagline here -Mediation. Mediation is the key to world peace.

So that's added now. You can see the design is updated already, you can change the colors too so

let's make the colors a little different. I like Phoenix, cool and then everything

kind of changes to be that and then we'll get the logo here and then we'll

just turn the logo off. Mediation is the key to world peace. 90+ minute observational documentary.

So the way I like to structure proposals is actually

really similar to what they have. The problem and the solution, so we'll write

Problem - most conflicts are solved using the oldest tactic known to man - going to war.

This is costly for society both in terms

of money and human life. There has to be a better way, it's kind of cliche but

that's okay. Problem - War is hell. Solution - Using modern technology nearly all

conflicts can be solved using mediation.

I don't want to change these icons so

I'm actually gonna use these default icons and I'll write a new one for this

documentary based on these icons here but Slidebean does have a vast

selection of icons that you can pick.

International communication has never been easier it says save money and human life

by solving conflicts using words instead of weapons work together as a human society.

Instead of destroying the world through fighting. Something like that and then

the design here. We got the solution and then what I want to do is, let's talk

about the documentary. The Movie let's say The Future of War - The Movie and then

I'll delete some of these paragraphs. They make it very easy to do that.

Deleting the content block here, we just add a paragraph and I'll say logline here.

Logline, so we're just adding sections kind of like

we do in the proposal here. It's a lot of text because this is more of a leave

behind. Usually in presentations I'll recommend just putting pictures and

things like that. But for a leave behind, something that you're gonna be running

through on a call once and then giving to the client to have, it's better to

have more information here. Especially if it's a proposal type presentation like this.

You want to make sure a lot of the info that's in this proposal it's in

this presentation and they make this so easy. So that's basically - you run through,

you create all of this. I could do this whole thing but I think you guys get the idea.

What I would do with the rest of this is - create all this other

information. So the potential interviewees and we'd have pictures of all these guys

Tom Bonds, Ben Rhodes, Samantha Power, Kenichiro Sasae, probably each with their

own slide. Then over here we'd have a slide for style, a slide for execution,

Similar examples and we have the movie posters with a little bit of text underneath.

Then bios of the team, bios of the production team, the little about us

section. Then we'll go through the production process and the timetable- 7 months.

The cost of the film which is a 100k and we'll have that all

outlined here. Let's see how easy this is, so right now I've got the rest of the

filler, it's still Airbnb but we've got the first few slides. Here's the problem.

We're in our little Airbnb logo up here let's make sure to not off.

Slidebean also has built-in backgrounds, we can pick different backgrounds.

Still sad because of the war. At the preview here and you can see the slides outlined.

It's very clean the way they do this. Very very clean.

Got the logline, Future of War and then you can see the outline of the product this is all the

Airbnb stuff but Slidebean lets you do all of these cool animations.

You see everything's bouncing all over the place, I love that.

They've got the bullet points here. Very well done and then the team section this is

where in our Lorelia Proposal we would have our team here. I like this.

And then to share it, its pretty easy. You hit share but you got to pay for that.

With Slidebean. Then they make it very easy and you can share the slides there.

Thats my review of Slidebean. If you need something to create interesting

proposals to sell to clients, this is a good tool Slidebean.com check it out.

If you want the proposal that we use at Lorelia pictures, I don't think it's

this exact one but it's a similar one to this - you can get that at

experiment27.com/proposal It's not in a presentation format though it's still in

the text format. You can use that as a basis to sell for your agency.

Share this video with somebody you think would get value and I'll talk to you later.

Best Dogs Ever Samoyed - Duration: 7:12.

Yeti, you've gotta get up.

Get up, come on!

Come on....awhooo woo woo woo!

Yeti, gotta move this.

Samoyeds are the best dogs ever!

Up next, on Yeti's Place.

Welcome back, to all of our returning visitors and subscribers.

If you're new here, please be sure to subscribe and click on that bell notification, so you

won't miss a thing.

Let's get started!

So, Samoyeds are super, super friendly dogs.

They love everyone.

They love kids.

They love other pets.

If a stranger comes into your house, there is no stranger danger, when you own a Samoyed.

Because, a Samoyed will run up to everyone and say, pet me, play with me, play with me.

Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy!

You have a ball?

Oh boy, throw that ball!

Oh boy, you have treats?

Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy!

OH BOY!!

This is great fun!

OH BOY.....AHHHHH!!!!

I like you a lot!

Sweetie, no more treats.

No more.

They are great dogs for tolerating the bitter cold, northern temperatures.

Yeti, though, loves the snow, he loves the cold, because he is built for it.

He has this thick, double coat.

Which, the inner coat, is super, super soft and really warm and then the more wiry outer

coat, which is also very soft, but it's long.

It's like, a good 6 to 10 inches long, just depending on where his body it is.

Like around his mane, it gets really really long.

So, Yeti loves the winter.

And he loves the snow.

In fact, when it's below zero degrees Fahrenheit, like way below zero Fahrenheit, Yeti will

go out in a snowbank and he'll lay down and he'll do this.

He'll pant like crazy.

He loves it!

Yeti and all other Samoyeds that I have known, have non-stop energy.

Like non-stop!

Play with me, play with me, play with me!

Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy, oh boy, oh boy.

OH BOY!!

This is great fun!

Zoom!

All over the house.

And then zooming in here to film YouTube and then zooming to come after the treats and

then just being quiet for just a few moments, while we're filming and being really good.

And then he's quiet while he's sleeping.

But, that's it.

And he will hold this energy until he gets to be a very old dog.

Our late Samoyed, Chewy, lived to be 11 years old and he had full on out, puppy energy,

until two weeks before he died.

That's what a Samoyed is like.

Full-out energy, like all the time.

Crazy energy like play with me, play with me, play with me.

Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy, oh boy.

They drive you nuts sometimes.

Because, you sit down when you come home from work, after a busy day at work.

And all you want to do is just like chill, for just a few moments.

And you just want to watch TV just for a little bit.

But, a Samoyed though, they don't want you to sit there and watch TV, because they want

to play.

Play with me, play with me, play with me.

Oh boy, oh boy!

You have treats?!

Oh, great fun!

TREATS!!

Yip, yip, yip, yip, yip!

So, Samoyed's fur, when you're brushing them, you can save it and you can have a scarf made

out of it.

You can make mittens out of it.

You can do whatever you want out of a Samoyed's fur.

When they blow their coats, you're gonna get a lot of fur.

So, just hold onto that fur, you can build yourself a whole, brand new, Samoyed.

Yeah, you wouldn't like that very much, would you?

Mittens, a hat, scarf, even sweaters, because there's a lot of fur that comes off of these

guys.

So, you might as well put it to some good use if you know somebody who likes to knit.

Samoyeds are busy dogs, due to their nature of being working dogs.

So you have to walk them.

You have to play with them.

You have to film YouTube with them.

Samoyeds love hiking, they love agility competitions.

They're not going to run very fast, because a Samoyed is not known as a sprinter.

The problem with agility though, sometimes, you have a Samoyed, who doesn't like to listen

very well....which most don't.

They'll go off and do their own thing.

Meanwhile, you're shouting to them, come over here, you've gotta do this jump.

You've gotta do this one!

Come over here, come over here!

And they're like, no, I wanna do this one over here.

Samoyeds have the greatest personality ever!

They are super friendly.

They are affectionate, loyal, loving dogs, who love to be with their people, at all times.

They love being part of your family events.

And they love being part of your household.

So, do not let a Samoyed live outside, away from you.

So a Samoyed needs a good sized yard, or at least plenty of room to walk around.

Like....Yeti!

Stop crawling around behind me.

Stop trying to get treats!

There!

Now you stay.

Stay there.

No more crawling around behind your Mom.

Not feeding you anymore treats.

So we have a trail that goes around our little teeny tiny local airport and Yeti and his

Dad like to walk there.

And then, in the mornings, they like to walk around our town.

They go on a mile walk in the morning.

And then a mile walk in the evening.

If you own a Samoyed, be sure to bring them on a lot of walks.
