Mass Effect Andromeda: better FPS on low end computers - Duration: 7:56.

It's here! After 5 or so years the Mass Effect franchise is back. Seriously when Mass

Effect 3 came out I was still halfway through university. It has been so long.

And while the galaxy exploring sci-fi action might feel familiar, system requirements definitively

have changed. So, if you are still using the same computer you had for mass effect 3 you

might need some help.

And this where this begins.

Welcome to the LowSpecGamer, the show where we explore what it takes to run modern games

on hardware that is under its minimum requirements. And on this episode we are going to check

out a couple of tricks to get some extra performance on Mass Effect Andromeda. Let's go.

Right, back to the video.

Mass Effect Andromeda is a recently released game and the newest entry in the Mass Effect

series. While other games in the series used the unreal engine, Andromeda decided to change

to the sadly less flexible Frostbite engine, same used by Battlefield 1 and Mirror's

Edge Catalyst.

This change was done in order to push the limits and improve things like character animations…?

Haha HAHAHA.

The minimum requirements mention an i5 3570 and an Nvidia GTX 660.

Which is why I am going to try this on the 2009 i5 750 and the 2012 GT 640, which should

both be inferior to the minimum components.

You thought I was joking about the a computer that is as old as Mass Effect 3?

And as usual I am going to start with a resolution of 720. All settings to the lowest and the

custom present. As it is usual for frostbite games I am going to talk about the internal

resolution scaler.

Andromeda has a a bunch of presets for the internal resolution but I highly recommend

you leave it in custom and experiment with it yourself.

If you do not know what this, the internal resolution scaler allows you to change the

render resolution of the game while maintaining a readable UI.

If you set the game's menu to custom you can drop it as low as 25%, although if you

want go lower or prefer a more manual control you need to go to your configuration file.

This is located on your documents folder, bioware, mass effect andromeda, save, and the

file is called ProfOpts profile, in here you can lower anisotropic filtering, and set up

any resolution scale as long as the mode is set to 4. A value is 0.4 on the scale means

a render resolution of 40% for example.

If you want to make sure all other values are to their lowest my configuration file

is in the description.

The other useful tool to play with is the game console, with can be open at almost any

time using the button that is next to the 1 in your keyboard. The console autocompletes

based on what you right so you can use it to explore other things to tweak. However,

if you want to apply commands to the game every time it starts you need to go the

wherever the game is installed and create a user.cfg file, and put the commands there.

Make sure you have file extensions enabled so you actually create a cfg file and not

a txt file.

In the description you will find the user.cfg I will be using where I added some commands

to change some features that are still enabled after putting all the settings to the lowest.

These first lines are an alternate way of changing the render resolution if you do not

want to deal with the config file. These two disable some directx11 features, these ones

need to be set to the number of cores in your CPU.

And now, this set over here are quite interesting. These commands will allow you to disable some

of the illumination system in the game. This means that the game will look much darker

on many instances but you will get an important boost in performance.

And finally, it is usually good practice to finish your files with some commands that

shows something on the screen, that way you can make sure if they are actually being loaded.

The first command here will show a bunch of info about your computer and the second one

will show your FPS.

With all of that set and done I set out to see what kinda of experience I could get from

this game, on this computer.

Oh my, the Andromeda galaxy is way more blurry than I expected.

Ok, so think about this. Humans move in mass to, what's basically, a new galaxy and they

first encounter- oh god, this is going to be more challenging than I thought it would

be. And they encounter this new species of aliens and what's their first response to

that? Well, you guessed it right, it's violence! The answer to all humanity's problems. You

need to set a new base in this new unknown galaxy? Violence! You need to reactivate a

power relay station? Violence!

So yeah, in case that's not clear, it's a little bit- I know it's an action game

but it's a little bit disappointing that there's no… let's call it "diplomatic

solution" to some problems in this game. It's all gunfights. Very representative

of human problem solving, I guess.

Ok, time to see what awaits us in this beautiful galaxy. Oh god, it has boosters, oh hmmm.

Well, this sure ain't Rocket League.

Oh there's a lot of options here. Woo! Oh fuck! It's like learning to drive all over

again, I'm loving this. Woohoo!

Yep! Apparently the procedure to damage things in this game is to stomp it with your car.

Oh god, oh god, ok. I can squish them all, I can do this. This is definitely the best

way of doing combat with strange alien creatures, just run them over with your rover, yep, that's

exactly how it works.

Ok, this is definitely going to work. Nope, miss them, missed them completely, now I'm

taking damage.

Ok, we're going to take another go at it. This time there's no escape. Yeah, that

definitely did something. Yeah I think I made them angrier.

Oh god. Oh god, now we fight random… Metal Gear?

Well, they are now!

While I am still a bit unhappy that the franchise abandoned the flexible Unreal Engine, and

I am still glad there are still a couple of quick changes possible on this game.

With their latest project, Life, arriving in theaters tomorrow, writers Rhett Reese

and Paul Wernick have been on the interview trail for the movie.

And in an interview with Comicbook.com, the duo have confirmed that Zombieland 2 – another

project they've been trying to get off the ground – is very much at the forefront of

their minds.

They confirmed that the film is in active development, adding that "we're trying

to get it going.

All of our cast have read the script and love it."

"Ruben [Fleischer, the director of the original] is signed on.

It's just a matter of making our cast deals and making it for a budget number.

All the cast have become superstars now so, we made Zombieland with 20 million, so it's

trying to fit that financial model into the sequel model so it makes sense for the studio

and being able to pay the actors what they now get paid and deserve to paid."

That cast featured Emma Stone, Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson and Abigail Breslin.

Hi everyone, I'm Darko and you're watching a new episode on DumDum Channel.

Today we present you the most popular semi--automatic hunting shotgun in this region.

Baikal MP--153 is produced in Izhevsk Mechanical Plant in Russia.

Specifically in the area of ​​the factory called Baikal that produces hunting and sporting weapons.

Always point in a safe direction.

Always, if the safety is not activated, activate it, because this gun does not automatically activate the safety

when inserting the cartridge into the barrel.

I still have another round in the magazine. However it is not fed automatically.

The bolt in last position. safety off. Safe firing.

Safety on. Thats it.

Baikal MP-153 proved it self in practice.

Almost all hunters who have used it, have nothing but praise for this shotgun.

Which is not surprising because it is best--selling semi--automatic hunting shotgun in the world.

In the last 10--15 years.

It is recommended to younger hunters and beginners and those with shallower pockets.

Who want a quality hunting semiautomatic.

Of course recommended for those who have deep pockets but want a weapon that flawlessly

operate in all weather and temperature conditions.

Mental Omega 3.3 Act I - Soviet Mission 7 Idle Gossip on Mental - Duration: 51:59.

This mission is bugged by the way - there should be a Heavy Tech AA near your base, Airfield in the outpost close to your base and plus some other things.

The US is done, with taking out majority of the US forces it's time to clean up Europe from the Allies but first let cut the communication between the Pacific Front and and Euro Alliance.

This mission is quite challenging, there are some annoying attacks and Allies won't spare you.

Especially try to defend yourself from the paradrops and remember that after you destroy any tower, the losing faction will throw everything against you.

Top 5 Strongest Pokemon of All Time (No Legendary Pokemon or Mega Evolutions) - Duration: 10:45.

Greetings Pokefans!

Michael here.

Today I am back for another Top 5 video, the first one since January since these take a

long time to make and school is just the worst right now.

Just gotta survive until May.

But anyways, two of my most successful Top 5 videos have been the Top 5 Strongest Pokémon

of All Time and the Top 5 Strongest New Pokémon from Sun and Moon, and there have been a lot

of comments on those videos requesting I make a video counting down the Top 5 Strongest

Pokémon excluding legendary Pokémon and mega evolutions, so that's what I'm doing

today!

Like the other two videos, I will be ranking these Pokémon based solely on their base

stat total, and that will take precedence over any other factor.

When there is a tie though, I will use other factors to break it, such as movepool, type

matchups, and overall competitive prowess.

So be sure to leave a like on the video, subscribe if you haven't, and comment below what Pokémon

you think will be on the list, and without further ado, here are the Top 5 Strongest

non-legendary or mega Pokémon of all time.

Number 5 - Dragonite

This list immediately starts off with a tie between eight different Pokémon: the pseudo

legendaries.

For those who don't know, pseudo legendaries are Pokémon that have a base stat total of

exactly 600, 1.25 million experience points at level 100, and a three-stage evolutionary

line.

As of Gen 7, the pseudo legendaries are Dragonite, Tyranitar, Salamence, Metagross, Garchomp,

Hydreigon, Goodra, and Kommo-O.

There are only three non-legendary or mega Pokémon that have higher base stat totals

than the pseudo legendaries, meaning that only two of the eight pseudo legendaries made

it onto this list.

Since they all have the same base stat totals, I had to rank them with other factors, and

based on my analysis, I have placed Dragonite at number 5.

Dragonite is the OG pseudo legendary, and while it wasn't all that prevalent in the

competitive game for awhile, gaining the ability Multiscale has turned it into a monster.

Multiscale, for those who are unaware, halves the damage Dragonite takes when it has full

health, so that combined with its very solid bulk of 91 base HP, 95 defense, and 100 special

defense, it can survive most any hit from full health, even some 4x super effective

ice type attacks.

But not only are its defenses good, its attacking power is insane.

Its base attack is a monstrous 134, and it has a phenomenally wide physical movepool

to back it up.

Its movepool is so wide that it can learn moves that are super effective against all

four of its weaknesses, so even if you bring in a Pokémon that's strong against it,

you may not be able to take it down.

Number 4 - Garchomp

Garchomp has been and likely will continue to be the strongest pseudo legendary Pokémon,

so it makes a lot of sense that you see this thing everywhere in the competitive scene

in several different metagames.

Garchomp outclasses Dragonite by just a bit in my opinion, and that's due to its superior

type matchups and offensive power.

First, type matchups.

Garchomp and Dragonite have the same weaknesses except for rock, where Dragonite is weak to

it and Garchomp resists it.

This one difference is a really big deal though, since instead of being weak to the ever-prevalent

Stealth Rock like Dragonite is, Garchomp resists it.

Ground is also a better STAB type than flying since it is super effective against 5 types

instead of 3.

As for offensive capabilities, Garchomp's attack is only slightly lower, but it is much

faster, meaning Garchomp tends to be more capable of sweeping than Dragonite.

It also has a similarly wide movepool, so it has a lot of versatility for how it can

strike you down.

Its defenses aren't as good as Dragonite's but they are definitely competent, and often

not needed since Garchomp is often fast enough to take down its opponents quickly.

Rough Skin is also a great ability, since it's free chip damage that can really add

up.

It was a challenge for me to decide who was better, but in the end I think Garchomp's

versatility, speed, and typing gives it the edge over all the other pseudo legendaries.

But while it is a very good Pokémon that's used a lot, it's not the strongest non-legendary

or mega Pokémon, and by quite a large margin.

Number 3 - School Form Wishiwashi

School Form Wishiwashi was the strongest Pokémon on my Top 5 Strongest new Pokémon from Pokémon

Sun and Moon video, since the only other non-legendary Gen 7 Pokémon that comes close in base stat

total is the pseudo legendary Kommo-O. School Form Wishiwashi has a base stat total of 620,

with absolutely incredible base 140 attack and special attack and nearly as phenomenal

defenses.

It should be noted though that its HP and speed are virtually nonexistent.

Wishiwashi is amusing though, since once its HP gets below 25%, it becomes the weakest

Pokémon in existence.

Literally, it only has a base stat total of 175, 5 less than the former king of weakness

Sunkern.

This fish is more feeble than a sunflower seed, and based on what I've consumed in

the past, probably tastes a lot worse too.

Number 2 - Ash Greninja

Ash Greninja was essentially Ash's version of a mega evolution, but since it technically

isn't one, and it's actually fairly similar to Wishiwashi because it changes forms due

to its ability, I felt obligated to include it on this list.

If you disagree...well...you're wrong.

If you obtain a Greninja with the ability Battle Bond, it will transform into Ash Greninja

if it knocks out a Pokémon in battle, provided knocking that Pokémon out doesn't end the

battle.

This takes regular Greninja's base stat total of 530 to a whopping 640, giving 50

points to each of its attacks and 10 to its speed.

It also boosts water shuriken's power from 15 to 20 and makes it so it always hits three

times, but that's mostly useless.

Just use Surf.

Unfortunately for Ash Greninja, like Wishiwashi the gimmick of how it changes forms makes

it so it's not as useful in competitive.

Having to knock out a Pokémon just to change forms can be difficult to accomplish, so most

people agree that you're likely better off just using a Greninja with Protean.

But if you do manage to get an Ash Greninja on the field, you will hit very hard very

fast.

Number 1 - Slaking

Slaking is an absolute monster.

It has a base stat total of 670, which includes an incredible base 150 HP, the 9th highest

in the game, and an insane base 160 attack, the thirteenth highest in the game, and both

of those rankings include legendaries and megas.

It's also surprisingly speedy with base 100 speed, and while its special defense isn't

great, its base 100 defense paired with its insane base HP means it's got some impressive

bulk as well.

However as you likely know, Slaking is a lazy piece of sh*t.

Slaking's ability is Truant, and truant makes it so Slaking can only attack every

other turn.

This makes it virtually useless in any sort of battle situation, because for every time

Slaking gets to attack, its opponent gets to attack twice.

There are moves in the Pokémon world that can change another Pokémon's ability, but

Simple Beam, Entrainment, and Worry Seed don't work on Truant.

The only ways to make a Slaking not slack off is to either Skill Swap with it and give

Truant to some other poor unfortunate soul, or use Gastro Acid on it and suppress Truant's

effects.

Either way, this is really only practical in double battles, and you still end up wasting

a turn and a move slot on another Pokemon to do so, so it still just doesn't make

any sense to use Slaking at all.

But if Slaking wasn't as lazy as it is, it would be dominating the competitive scene,

since this sleepy king kong mini is actually on the same power level as the beings who

created the land and the sea.

So there we have it!

Those are the Top 5 Strongest non-legendary or mega Pokémon as of Gen 7.

If there's one lesson we can take from this list, it's that just because a Pokémon

has a high base stat total, it doesn't mean it's any good.
