the Oomoo over the master,
I was suppose to put a coating of Turtle Wax
brushed over the top of that master.
which is suppose to act as a mold release
so the Oomoo doesn't stick to the master.

Well that actually worked out better than I expected!

DIY: How to embroider a face for your animal amigurumi - Duration: 6:46.
Hi and warmly welcome to Fluffy Unicorn's Crochet Corner!
Today, I show you how to embroider a face for your amigurumi animal
I finshed the first eye already, so you see how it should end up.
If you have crocheted a heart on the body of your animal, the eye should be directly over the highest point of it
You start with embroidering the shape of the pupil
I like to have all my yarn ends at the side of the head
From there you can easily get your yarn were it should be and start with a circle or something like it
To make the yes as big as I do the here, make sure that the pupil already covers up two rounds of the head
Of course you can also make the eyes a bit smaller, as these are really big eyes
As you see, I do one straight stitch at the bottom, go diagonally up to the side, then go up in the middle over the first stitch
Then diagonally to the other side and back to were I started
After closing the circle I bring my yarn end into the middle.
from here you start covering up the whole pupil with black yarn
You best do this by doing circular stitches from the middle of the pupil to the circle line
Try not to think of your work as crochet but see it just as a piece of cloth, but just go right into your yarn (not only into the holes between stitches)
When you did cover up the pupil, you may find that your circleline looks a bit messy
You can cover this up by doing one or two long stitches around the pupil,
which you fasten with one small stitch
Same thing above the pupil.
Afterwards I try to arrange the whole thing a bit with the needle to make it look even more tidy
Repeat the same thing you just did with your black yarn with the eye-coloured one
Do one long stitch around half of the pupil
Fasten it with a small stitch
and repeat the hole thing 3-4 times according to the size of the iris you want to achieve.
Same thing of course, for the other side underneath the pupil
At the end we do a small white highlight into the eye to make it look more lively.
Therefore you go right into the pupil
make 2-3 small stitches underneath the black yarn of the pupil
Make sure your stitches are lying exactly next to each other, so it looks like one single white spot
Afterwards you can order it a bit with your needle until everything looks neat
Ready your are with the eyes. Now you can sew up the yarn ends and cut them
To do a very simple triangular animal nose, you start anew aith your black yarn
Start diagonally under one eye
and make a stitch as long as 3 single crochets (or longer or shorter, if you like that better)
As you did for the pupil you first do the form of the nose like this
And then cover it all up with lots of stitches
Again, try to lay one stitch right beside the other until the whole nose is black
When you have done this, you should do another long stitch to cover the beginnings of all your smaller stitches like this
For the mouth you go underneath the nose, not directly but a bit to the one side
See, this would be straight, but we want to find a point right next to it
From here we go back to the nose
Then we do one stitch to the side
And another one diagonally up
to give your amigurumi a bright smile
Do the other side in the same way
And this is how your animal's face should turn out
