Youtube daily report Oct 16 2017

This time on Rad Rat Video, we're talking

about where skateboard trucks came from.

Let's get started. Welcome back to Rad Rat

Video, the channel where you can learn

something new about skateboarding three

times a week. We talk about learning

tricks on the Shred school, we talk about

trick histories, we talk about

skateboarding video games, all kinds of

skateboarding culture and topics. Today

we're talking about trucks, where they

came from, who invented them and why are

they called 'trucks'? Now I'll do that last

part first. Actually kind of interesting.

The wheel assembly on a train, on a rail

car, was called a 'truck.' At least in the

US. And in other countries it's called a 'bogie,'

I guess, but in the US they called those

'trucks.' So when you adapt that onto a

skate, or a skateboard,

then it makes a lot of sense why they

call it that. But who invented it? Well

I've got that right here. It was invented in

1960... 1863 by James Plimpton. Yeah. So the

truck, of course, was originally invented

for rollerskates, and the first

side-by-side wheel roller skate was in

1863. Inline had been around for about a

hundred years at that point, but that's

where the truck came from in general. But

obviously using roller skate trucks was

not great for skateboards. First thing,

they were only about two inches wide, so

you know, it made sense. It had to fit the

width of your foot, but putting it on a

skateboard, that was nowhere near wide

enough. So to make up for that, you had to

have really wide wheels that would kind

of cover some of that width, but there

was also crazy products at the time like

this truck axle width extender product.

You'd screw this on instead of a nut on

the end of your truck, and then you would

put the wheels on those, and that would

help add a little bit of extra width to your

board. And these were actually 90 bucks

on eBay. I don't know what they cost back

in the day. A couple other issues with

the skate trucks were that there was no

standardized mounting system. You know, a

roller skate would come as one unit all

together. You don't need to be able to

take the trucks off of this brand, and

put them over on this brand. So having

that standardized system was a big deal.

Also, the strength just wasn't there.

They had a really basic T shape.

In fact, my Indy 109s are still kind of

similar, that you can see. You know, if I

was doing a high-impact, jumping down

gaps and everything with this, this would

probably break no problem. So those

are some of the problems that we were

having with rollerblade trucks back in

the day ,and we definitely needed our own.

As we got out of the 60s and into the

70s,

skateboarding got to be more and more

popular. The first urethane wheel came

out, which was a huge deal, and the first

trucks started to come out at that time

as well. But who was the first to make it?

We've got three different options. The first

one is Bennett. Bennett trucks definitely

claim to be the first, although on their

website, they also claim that their 70s

releases are still cutting-edge. But

they've been claiming that they've been

the first since the start. You see it in

old ads and everything like that. One

problem with their design was that

they're still a roller skate sized. So

they didn't solve all the problems that

skateboarders were having, but they were

designed for skateboarders, and they solved

the mounting issues and things like that.

So they do have a good claim at being

one of the first skateboard trucks. One

of the other options is Bahne. And they

don't claim to be first themselves, but

they are historic brand. Tony Hawk's

first board was a Bahne, and they do

deserve be mentioned in the same breath

as some of these other companies, but

they never make the claim. The last one

that does, though, is Tracker. Tracker

trucks were named that because of the

way that a train car: one truck would

follow the other. It would 'track' the

other truck. That's where the name came

from. And they say that they're the first

skateboard truck made by skateboarders.

"Back in 1975, the tracker full track was

the first truck in history made

specifically for skateboarding by

skateboarders." Which is a much weaker

claim. The more that you have to add on

different qualifiers to it, it makes it a

lot weaker. The first one in this city, in

this whatever. You get more and more

specific, it starts to get more of a

weaker claim. So who was really first?

It's tough to say. So everyone wants to

be first. They're all gonna use the

earliest date they possibly can. Bennett

actually says that they started in 1974,

tracker says in 1974, but both of them

seem to have come to market around the

same time in 1975. So who is actually

first?

Sources that say Bennett was, as if

everybody knows. It's not cited, it's

not proven. People just say Bennett was

first. But I found a few quotes that say

that it was at the same time. So there's

this one from Transworld, where they

talked about how they all came out at

the same time. This other one is from

the Transworld business site, where they

mentioned them coming out at the same

time as well. There's also this interview

with Larry Balma, one of the founders

of Tracker, says that it was at the same

time as well. But one thing to keep in

mind, you might want to take that with a

little grain of salt, because Larry Balma

also founded Transworld. So those first

two articles may be a little suspect, and

a quote from him directly is just his

story. So if I had to guess, I would say

Bennett was actually a little bit first,

but I think a more interesting question

is: 'Who made the first usable truck? Who

actually solved all the problems that

made the first modern skateboard truck?'

And that's when Tracker starts to pull

ahead. "We introduced the four and a

quarter inch wide Tracker Full Track

truck constructed out of heat treated

aircraft alloy materials, which was

strong, lightweight, and the first truck

built for skateboarders by skateboarders.

The skateboard market was growing and

they needed stronger equipment. They

needed Trackers. Bahne and Bennett

skateboard trucks came out at the same

time, but they were still narrow, about

two and three eighths inch wide. The

Bennett broke and the Bahne was not as

sexy. By the time they made wider trucks,

Tracker had production, the team, the name,

and the quality. We remained the number

one selling truck brand for the next 15

years." They didn't get to be industry

leaders overnight though. They had a lot

of problems selling shops on their idea

of having a wider truck. A lot of shops

would tell them that you can't have a

truck be that wide, because the wheels

would stick out, and then your feet would

hit him when you try to turn. They tried to

convince them that boards would get wider

and wider to suit, but it didn't really

work. So they had some interesting

marketing ideas. "And so I got everybody

from their areas to rip the Yellow

Pages out of all the phone books they

had. And the idea was that we would call

up the shops: "Do you have tracker trucks?"

The people at the shops would say, "What

are tracker trucks?" We'd all say, "Oh

tracker trucks? You don't have tracker

trucks?" They'd say, "No, we have Excalibur,

we have sure-grip, we have..." We'd say, "Oh,

you don't have tracker trucks? OK" Later.

Click.

This helped give them some momentum and

get them started, and their triangular

trussed design became more and more

popular over the years, as this famous ad

of theirs likes to illustrate. But

Bennett was still really important too.

Way back in 1978, they actually pioneered

magnesium and aluminum trucks, and that

fact blew me away. A fan of the show

named Handywithshovels sent that

little factoid to me, and that was the

reason why I started to look into this

topic at all. Because you think about

Tensor. They have their Maglite trucks,

and they brag about their magnesium

technology, and all this stuff. And you

might think that that's actually new, but

it's a really really old idea. And Grind

King would say that they were the first

truck that really tried to be light, but

Bennett was doing it way back then. And

Tracker was also experimenting. They were

doing all kinds of different stuff. They

experimented with a polymer truck, and

they never released that. But I did find

this ad from an old Skateboarder

magazine, of a different brand doing

something like that. A one-piece truck

that would just bend a little bit

instead of having to turn in the normal

way. So it's very interesting. They

definitely had a huge effect on

skateboarding. But Bennett, Tracker and

even Bahne are all still around these

days. None of them are huge mainstream

companies anymore, but they do still

exist. So that's what I was able to dig

up on skateboard trucks. If you know

anything I don't, let me know about that

below, and hit my logo on screen right

here to subscribe so you can keep

learning more things about skateboarding

three times a week. Until next time, here

a couple more videos to check out in the

meantime. And thank you for watching.

TOO MUCH EVENTS IN SINGAPORE! Ft. Fireworks, NDP and more! | I Vlog U Watch #5 n 6 | Extended Vlog - Duration: 27:26.

I think I'm having a little bit of an Adam's family vibe over here.

Black hair, black clothes..

Don't you think?

*Intro Music*

Welcome to I Vlog U Watch 5! Or 6

In this Vlog, we're going to depict Singapore's Birthday.

In Singapore you have to actually bid to go to the National Day Parade and watch the live show.

So this year I managed to bid and me and my friends went to the National day parade.

Let me show you where are we.

Finding myself in the whole NDP is kind of difficult and kind of easy because.

FOUND ME!

Yes exactly why's my head chopped off? I don't understand

Even from that small little corner, right at the corner at the side of

this whole floating platform, we still managed to watch the National Day Parade.

So here is what is the National Day Parade about.

*Sound from National Day Parade*

Welcome back!

And Now, we're going to talk about Fort Siloso.

Do you know that Fort Siloso and Fort Canning is 2 different places?

I did not know that until today.

Basically a museum?

A museum of some sort.

Ok you can just watch it now.

A museum underground.

*Bug Sound*

So we're at Fort Siloso today.

*Bug Sound*

*Fast Forward Sound*

It's a museum!

Oh god.

*Walking down the stairs sound*

Ohhhh.

Oh where you want to go?

Come on let's go here.

*Environment sounds*

You can see some really cool things underground, like this.

*Other Sounds*

I think we will get lost here.

*Sounds from the environment*

*Fast Forward Noise*

*Bug sound*

Ehhh!!!

*Bug sound*

Oh my god got light one sia!

Ahhh!

*More Sounds*

Aside from Fort Silso, here are some mandatory Sentosa shots where I see ba….

So we're passing through RWS and you can see a lot of balloons

bouncy house, should I said.

*Noise*

…llooons

Aside from that, here's the lion dance which I saw during the party poppers event.

You can read my Party Popper launch experience

on Ireviewuread dot com as linked above or in the description box below.v

*Sound from the Event*

Wahhhh, Smile!

Mexican Ship.

How many of you remember the Mexican ship which is parked at Vivo?

Well I do because I went on that Mexican Ship!

It's so cool!

It's literally like a pirate ship.

*Music*

*Sounds from the Mexican ship*

Oh my god! They're standing on ropes.

Are they going to pull that out?

Pull open the thing?

No? I don't know..

*Sound from the ship*

Oh and you guys remember that instant Ma la craze?

Well…

… I kind of got on board and here is what happened.

So now we're trying this instant ma la huo guo.

There's instructions here.

Ya.

And this is the sauce.

There's even chopsticks provided and...

sausage??

Ok?

There's the oil over there.

There's even an egg.

This is the erm noodles and or whatever this is.

No this is vegetable.

Oh my god.

And this is erm….

What is this ah?

Don't know.

Ok this is don't know.

And that this is the thing which kinds of heat up this whole thing.

Yeah, heating pack

So this is the sauce.

After we add the sauce, we have to add like one over third of water.

Next, we're going to put this something fen bao.

While after we stir finish this.

It looks like this.

Deng Deng Deng Deng Deng….

Why so many? Haha

Now we're going to put this.

Nah.

Inside got different liao one.

Ya.

There's a distinct Ma La smell.

Potato? Ya. Potato!

Look at all this vegetables

Now the egg

Is that really egg?

Quail egg

Well, the quail egg does not look round anymore.

And the sausage

Sausageee

Do we like need to cut this?

A, I don't know.

So now we have to wait for 15 minutes, you can see smoke oh my god

So red

Trying out appliances in my house.

Trying out new recipes in my house

didn't know that that that could be so fun.

But here is it.

So today we're going to blend some thing.

So inside here is a some strawberries, ice cubes and water.

So what we're trying to do is like a fruit smoothie, rainbow thing in this light bulb.

After all, it costs like a bomb to buy a fruit smoothie in a small little tiny light bulb.

So might as well we make ourselves right?

*Blending and Fast forwarding sound*

The bottom is a little bit diluted like ish.

But the top look nice, right?

I mean if I cut it like that, maybe I use my hand, cover it like that.

It looks damn nice right?

Now for the taste test.

Now we are going to make popsicle, this is mango and milk.

It's more like a thai mango rice popsicle without the rice.

*Blender sound*

Time to add into the popsicle bowl.

*Sounds and music*

Now it shall freeze for 24 hours

*Pokemon Victory sound*

Deng Deng Deng Deng Deng

Hahah

This one only level one hor.

Total got how many level.

I don't know

but there seemed to be like a lot.

Huh?

Huh.

So we're at erm Singapore American School.

Let's explore the place first

We're just sitting down here waiting for god knows what.

Maybe until our stomach get hungry and get some food.

I don't know what is happening over here.

While I have one expression and he's down there practicing his face.

Ah practise some more practise somemore. Ah, very good.

There's like a bouncy castle

carnival games and people talking about something.

So yah, fun

We got corn dog and beef chilli cheese fries.

*Fireworks & Laser show*

Ice cream!

*music*

I didn't know you can dance

*music*

Hello! Now, we're heading to museum hopping in Singapore.

So the first museum I head off is to Asian civilisation museum.

A Korean Exhibition.

I didn't really take a video to exhibition because I didn't expect to vlog that day

So this is the amazing lion? Monster?

I don't know what is that dance in front of the Asian civilisation museum.

*Music*

Next I head off to

National gallery Singapore, which is right next to asian civilization museum, and they have this amazing exhibition

where literally everyone in Instagram is posting about it.

You think your life is confusing and then you see the exhibition, nothing is confusing any more because it's both confusing and amazing at the same time.

There's mirrors, there's dots and there's a lot of lights. Mirrors, dots and lights.

It's just Instagram worthy that's what I can say.

What is you just walk?

Ohhhh. Let's go here.

There's a mirror. Got mirror. Why got random mirror.

Like you from outside see not scary one.

Oh you see this one. Wah, slant one side.

Quite nice ah? Ya lo.

Before you head on, do remember to subscribe like and comment on this video. And, let's move on!

CRG Profiles: Shane Messer - Duration: 4:11.

It feels like I'm working really hard a lot of the time, and other times, you know,

when you're psyched and you're fit, it feels effortless. I guess that's why

it's always a constant battle to stay in shape, so that it always feels effortless.

My name is Shane Messer, and I'm the Director of Route Setting for Central Rock Gym.

I'm from North Carolina originally and moving up to New

England I was a little nervous because you hear down south, you hear like,

everyone in the Northeast is mean, everyone in the Northeast is like, you know,

they're not gonna be very friendly. And, what I've found is that, when I'm driving

that's true, but when I'm in the climbing gym I'm only introduced to the

nicest people that I could imagine in the Northeast.

I don't think I necessarily picked route setting, I think route setting sort of

picked me in a way. I really valued coaching a lot more than I valued

route setting. And what I found was route setting was a really important

aspect of coaching. In order to teach kids how to move well on the wall, if you

first understand how to force people to move on the wall then it's easier to

dissect, examine, and then educate on how to do those things.

The creativeness of route setting is interesting because we're essentially artists.

Each day we strip a big section of wall and then

we come back and backfill it with what we think is going to be a really

creative fun interesting boulder problem or route. I really look at it as like,

I'm trying to create something that our clients are gonna really enjoy.

And, when the competitions come and then we get to really think about what can we

make the human body do that hasn't been done before, or what can we make it do

that's gonna be really interesting to people from the outside looking in.

Coaching is one of those things that some people, it's just in them, they want

to see success in others. You can help breed success when you

have a good support system in place. And, I really enjoy working with those

climbers and finding those weaknesses, strengthening those weaknesses,

Mentally getting them to connect with their body. There's just an

unlimited number of challenges as a coach, and it's one of those things that

always keeps my mind turning. It's pretty gratifying to be able to see success in someone.

I have a really bad sweet tooth, and I like to eat

anything that is basically sweet or sour. But when I'm training for competitions,

you got to just cut it. Other than that, discipline comes

with age I think. Like in a lot of ways you start to learn that in

order for this to happen you have to do this, and if you skip this

step, this doesn't happen. And you learn that a lot through trial and error, right?

So if I don't go to the gym at 5:30 in the morning to get it done before I go

to work, then that means I have to be there in the evening, and if I have to be

there in the evening, that means that don't get to spend the evening with my kid.

And I would rather spend the evening with my kid

and get my climbing done in the same day.

And this year all that discipline paid off,

I finally achieved one of my dreams, to be on the U.S. National Team.

NFL: Racist Seahawks Player Protesting Anthem Just Made SICK Demand Of All Whites At His Games. - Duration: 4:31.

Racist Seahawks Player Protesting Anthem Just Made SICK Demand Of All Whites At His Games.

We're barely into football season, and racist anti-American football players are already

up to their antics.

Not learning their lesson after witnessing Colin Kaepernick's football career completely

destroyed last season, Seahawks' defensive end Michael Bennett has been leading the latest

string of protests.

But startlingly, Bennett has much bigger plans for disrespecting our country other than just

sitting the bench for the National Anthem, with what he's demanding all white people

to do at his games.

Protesting the anthem is a slap in the face for every single American soldier who has

fought, bled and died for this country.

While it's these players' right under the First Amendment to protest the flag they

ridiculously view is a "symbol of oppression," that doesn't mean their actions come without

consequence.

Michael Bennett has benefited immensely from country he vows to keep protesting, as he's

able to pursue his dreams of being a millionaire football star.

Bennett just signed a $30 million dollar contract with the Seahawks, but still somehow feels

"oppressed" as a black man living in America.

While protesting is his God-given right as a citizen in this country, Bennett isn't

simply satisfied with sitting silently on the bench.

Ever eager for more media attention that his anti-American actions bring him, he's now

demanding that all white players on the team join his protests too.

"It would take a white player to really get things changed," Bennett said Wednesday

on ESPN's SC6, "because when somebody from the other side understands and they step

up and they speak up about it … it would change the whole conversation.

Because when you bring somebody who doesn't have to be a part of [the] conversation making

himself vulnerable in front of it, I think when that happens, things will really take

a jump."

But Bennett's plans to influence other demographics to join his anti-American circus doesn't

end there.

In the same interview, he expressed his intentions of setting his sights on children too, as

he views them as a group of Americans he can easily influence (AKA indoctrinate) and pass

on his hatred for our country to.

"Instead of just inspiring them to be athletes, we can inspire them to be change makers,"

Bennett said.

What's even more disturbing is how the NFL is not only supporting this behavior, but

bashing the fans for their ongoing outrage over these racist players' protests.

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell had the opportunity several days ago to condemn these actions,

"but put the problem on the fans who are furious about it, rather than punishing the

athletes who are abusing their platforms, calling for Americans to be 'more understanding'

of what they are trying to say with their protests," Freedom Daily's Amanda Shea

previously reported.

New York Daily News reports:

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell says football fans should be more understanding when players

protest the national anthem.

During a Q&A session with Cardinals season-ticket holders, Goodell was asked if he believes

protests are "going to be another problem" this season.

"It's one of those things where we have to understand that there are people who have

different viewpoints," Goodell said via ESPN.

"It's something that I think everybody wants.

The national anthem is a special moment for me.

It's a point of pride.

That is a really important moment but we also have to understand the other side – that

people do have rights, and we want to respect those."

Sadly, many blacks in this country have been brainwashed by morons like Barack Obama and

Al Shaprton and other black leaders who continue to demonize whites and police officers, as

these idiots will continue to rise in political prominence and cash in on their little manufactured

race war.

Race relations in this country are now at an all-time low, thanks to the race-baiting

antics of Obama who used his platform to drum up anti-American sentiments like this country

has never seen before.

The NFL league has invested quite a bit of money into falsely presenting themselves as

patriotic organization over the years, only to have it destroyed by these spoiled and

racist millionaire NFL players who want to use the football field to whine about their

"oppression."

If these morons want to continue to bring politics into America's favorite pastime,

it's only going to rub salt in the racial wounds that Obama ripped oven even further.

It's time to give these NFL players the message that this behavior won't be tolerated,

and they can protest America all day long in an empty stadium.

Thank you for watching...

Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later is on Netflix.

I wasn't sure that they could translate it into a multi-episode series

but they've managed to prove me wrong

not only once, but twice.

Clearly, I have some trust issues.

A 4 day paddling adventure on river Glomma - Duration: 32:54.

cvxdfgr Finally, I'm on the river Glomma, ready to paddle from Fetsund to Fredrikstad.

Glomma confluences with the lake Øyeren, before it again discharges into the river Glomma near Mørkfoss

Glomma flows Sarpsborg, before it ends in Fredrikstad and discharges into the Oslo Fjord.

The trip is 115 km long, and I planned to use 4 days

I will do my best to relax and avoid stress...

Try not to focus on the distance I have to paddle.

My only goal today is to reach the souther end of Øyeren.

It's 30-40 kilometers with paddling today - but that's doable

Yes, I just need to get at it

I'm now paddling through the Øyeren Delta

It's located north in Øyeren

And it's really beautiful here

A lot of narrow canals

I just spotted a beaver

There it is again

It's a beaver swimming around here, and he's curious on my kayak

That's great. Nice to see some animals

Øyeren is probably the most boring part of my trip.

It's a huge open water, like every other big open waters

So, I will just focus on getting to the other side

Alright

I'm now at Øyerens southernmost point

It's a nice sand bank

Nice to strech my legs

The last 10 km was a bit heavy

Very windy and moderate waves

But in total it has been really good conditions

It's been great - couldn't asked for any better

Now I only need to cross Øyeren from east to west, and continue paddling on Glomma again

I guess I have between 5 and 8 kilometers left, before finding camp before Solbergfoss

So so far, really great!

I'm back in Glomma again

It's strong currents

Pretty cool, but at the same time a bit scary

And I guess this will be nothing compared to tomorrows conditions

This is just warming up

I need to put down the camera, and get controll of the kayak

The camp is up

I'm out on reconnaissance

This area is really nice

I have a great view over the river Glomma

It's really nice

And great temperature

I made a new record today

Paddled 37,5 kilometers

Very happy with that

I'm a bit tired, but feel pretty fresh

I only slept a few hours last night

So I guess I will fall asleep early tonight

New morning

I'm getting close to Solbergfoss power plant

Todays first power plant

I'm running a bit late, compared to my plan

But it doesn't matter. I have all day to get passed all the dams and power plants

And to find a new campsite, hopefully below Vamma

I'm having fantastic conditions

Sun, blue sky and no wind at all - couldn't be better

However, the water level is quite high

I just need to be extra careful

I'm guessing it won't be a problem

Between Mørkfoss and Fredrikstad, there are four power plants/dams

The first one is Solbergfoss

It's easy to get up from the water on the east side

Then just follow the road over the dam and down on the vest side below the dam

The road almost gets you to the water, but you need to carry everything the last 50 meters

There's a lot of water in the river today

And the only place I find it possible to get into the water is rather rough

Anxious as always

Need to be really careful

No room for mistakes

I guess it's normally ok to get into the water after Solbergfoss

But it the depends on the water level

It could be hard of there's a lot of water

I have now passed Solbergfoss

Only two more remains (today)

This water after Solbergfoss is really nice and calm

I'm just drifting down th river, enjoying the scenery before I start paddeling again

I wonder how the other dams are to get passed, if Solbergfoss is the easiet one

When I got into the kayak and getting ready to start paddling...

...a huge wave grabbed me and threw my kayak into the water

So it was some hectic minutes through the rapids, without the sprayskirt..

The kayak got filled with water - it was a bit intense

That's a first for me...

But I survived, and I got to use the pump for the first time

So, I hope the other powerplants aren't any worse to get around

But right now is perfect

I'm going to relax and enjoy slow-paced paddling for the next 8 km.

Then I will arrive at Kykkelsrud powerplant

This is such a quiet and beautiful area

The conditions were really nice, after some action near Solbergfoss.

But, then you arrive at a place called Jutulbrua, where Glomma gets more narrow and the water speeds up

It gets really intens between a railroad bridge and car bride

I guess it will be ok during normal water levels

But now, when the water level was high...

..the water was running very fast, with very powerful currents...

My GPS showed 26 kmp without doing any paddling

Alright! I have just passed some really enjoyable rapids

Both scary and very fun

That was some enjoyable kilometers

Unfortunately, I don't think there will be any more similar rapids

I have off course Vrangfoss in front of me, but I'm pretty sure that I will carry around that one

According to its' rumors, it's probably ten times as powerful as this one

But, this was fun. Picked up quite a few learning points

..i must paddle more rapids

Now I only have a few kilometers left, before reaching the dam and power plant at Kykkelsrud

I reckon spending a couple of hours to get around

Then, just continue forward

Kykkelsrud power plant straight ahead

Should be ok to get on land to the left over there somewhere

Kykkelsrud is the next place where I need to carry around

It's easy to get out of the water on the east side in a industrial area

It demands some carrying up a little hill

But, after that, pretty smooth rolling

The place that I got back into the river, was a nice grassy area, with calm water

Kykkelsrud is the simplest place to get around

You will arrive at Vrangfoss a few kilometres after Kykkelsrud.

The water level was high when I paddled, so I don't know how hard it normally is...

...but I recommend, nevertheless, to carry around the rapids of Vrangfoss

It's easy to avoid Vrangfoss

Since there is a small bay on the west side of the rapids

It's a short distance to carry, but very steep

I decided to carry around Vrangfoss

I was very close to go all inn down the rapids

But when I see the rapids from here, I'm extremely glad I didn't

That would've been seriously dangerous

The worst part is what I'm looking at now

But there will be a few hundred meters more with rapids and strong currents

So I need to concentrate to make sure I get down in one piece

Glad I'm finished with the carrying

It was short, but heavy

It was straight up and straight down

I only have a few more kilometers before I arrive at Vamma

Last powerplant and last stretch with carrying

So far so good

Everythings fine

I have now passed the lower rapids of Vrangfoss

That went well

I'm now drifting with a speed of 3 km/h, and I'm enjoying this beautiful area

Blue skies and sun, really beautiful

Moments like this are precious

Vamma is now a 3-4 kilometers down the river

Last powerplant, last carrying stretch

This has been brilliant

I'm now going to enjoy the last paddle,

Do the last carrying stretch and then a quick lunch

Then the day will come to an end

Ok, I have some good news and some bad news

The good news, is that I have arrived at Vamma powerplant

The bad news, is that I cant get out of the water where I've planned

due to warning signs and "no paddle" signs

That means that I need to carry my stuff up here

A steep overgrown slope, for at least 200 meters

It will be really hard work

It was heavy at Vrangfoss, but this isn't even comparable

I guess I will spend 2-3 hours to get passed Vamma

I also need some lunch, but haven't decided if I carry first then eat, or the opposite

I will figure that out, and will start off by unpacking my kayak

But, it's today's last carrying stretch

And it's only 3 pm

So I have many hours left with daylight

So...need to get going

[ 90 minutes later ]

The powerplant at Vamma is hard to get passed

Not very accessible for us paddling kayaks

There is a lot of construction work going on, so hopefully this will be better

But, if you follow my route, you should estimate at least 2 hours

And I sneaked passed a farm and entered the river from private property

Where a grumpy old farmer lives, who's known for chasing away people like me

I'm pretty tired tonight. Those carrying stretches are hard work

It's a lot of equipment to drag along, and the landscape has been very hilly

It has exceeded all expectations

Today's trip took me approximately 9-10 hours

It was great fun to paddle the rapids

Both a bit scary, but mostly great fun

...but don't paddle Vrangfoss

Now, some chocolate and a movie on my mobile

I tried to read a bit yesterday, but fell a sleep immediately

But, I guess chocolate and a movie will keep me awake

A great ending to a great day

I had planned to get up early today

But, it's so foggy outside

So, I will sneak back to the sleeping bag and snooze another hour

Hoping that the sun soon will break up the fog

I have now slept for another hour or two

The clock has just passed nine

Still a bit foggy out there

But much less than earlier

But, I decided not to rush today

I'm now going to make me pot of coffee, without leaving my sleeping bag

Relax some more

I guess I want be on the water before noon

Four hours after schedule

But doesn't really matter - I'm not paddling very far today.

If I arrive at 5 or 7 doesn't matter

So, I'm in a nice rhythm now. Have been paddling for about 30 minutes after I left Valdisholm

Still heading down Glomma

The conditions are great, calm and nice

...but I have headwind and countercurrent...which is surprising

But, it's not too bad

It will just go a bit slower

How strange?

Two houses in the middle of Glomma?

I was about to tell you about how beautiful it is here at Tangen...

...but I now see on the map that I'm not at Tangen

I'm a one and a half kilometer away from Tangen

This place is very nice, just outside Lystad. I will show you on the map

Great place to take a break

About 13 kilometers from Valdisholm, where I started today

It has taken me two hours

I have been paddling non-stop

After some exploration around Valdeholm

The last 11 kilometers has been non-stop paddling

Had a heavy headwind

But I feel great - not tired at all

It hasn't been challenging, just that the kilometers takes time to paddle

I thought I had complete control of where I was according to the map

But I checked the GPS now

And I have been wrong all along

There are so many bays and "spiky" areas, that It's hard to keep 100% track of where I'm at

But now I'm 4-5 kilometer away from where I have planned to stop for lunch

This is just a quick "toilet break"

Soon back on the water for a quick paddle before having lunch

Then a new round of paddling until I reach todays destination

So far, it's been great. Beautiful weather. Sun and blue sky.

In spite of headwinds, the conditions are superb

It's been great to paddle

Finally!

This is the kind of paddling I've been looking forward to

It took me quite a lot of kilometers before I got there

But now I just enterd the last southern part of Glomma, heading for Sarpsborg

Here the water flows fast

It's so nice

I'm probably doing 5 kilometers per hour without any effort

I thought it would be like this all the way

But now...I needed to paddle 20 kilometers to get there

2 kilometers before I arrive at todays destination

But, I will really enjoy this last part

I'm guessing that the island in front of me is Munkholmen?

It's supposed to be some ruins from the Middle Ages there

I'm now at the island Munkholmen

My original destination for the day

But, a family in a boat showed up...

So I guess they would like to be here alone, without me and my tent

There are other islands around

And one a few hundred meters down the stream looks promising

If not, I'm guessing finding a nice campsite wouldn't be that hard

So no problem, even though Munkholmen looks really nice

Big island, covered in grass, with a beautiful sandy beach on the north side

So, it would've made a perfect campsite if it hadn't been for the other family

I didn't find the ruins.

So either I'm wrong, or the ruins are well hidden

I have now arrived todays destination

It's been a nice day

Really nice campsite

Perfect location, sheltered from the wind

It's actually a lot of wind out there

But here nothing, thanks to those trees

It's only about 7 kilometers to Sarpsborg

Where I will paddle tomorrow

Another great day

Don't know how far I've paddled yet

I will check later, but first some food

Beaver

I heard a "plopp" and there it was

Good morning

My last morning

I managed to get up in time today

It's supposed to be some rain in the morning

So I plan to get going before the rain starts

Not that it really matters

That's it

Strange that this trip soon comes to an end

I've had some really nice days

I can't understand this

My kayak is waterproof, but still it's always water inside here

I can't understand where it comes from. Its like it generates its own water

My tip - always bring a sponge

It's smart to remove the water before packing the kayak

Even though I pack in waterproof bags

The last part before Sarpsborg is on, before the last carry stretch

Before last paddle to Fredrikstad

I guess I have less than one hour in front of me, before reaching Sarpsborg

Depends a bit on the pace of the river

But I have all the time in world

My plan is to relax and enjoy my surroundings

maybe explore a little

Now, nice slow pace. Slow paddling motion. Just try to enjoy

Observe nature around me awakes

This is so great

Morning and evening paddling is unbeatable

It's the best

I'm totally alone

Fantastic

You should keep west when when you are getting close to Sarpsborg

And paddle into Glengshølen

Then you don't need to worry about the powerplant at Sarpsfossen

a 18 meter waterfall that you will paddle straight into if you keep east

It's easy to get out of the water at Glengshølen

You then have a simple carrying stretch through Sarpsborg, before the final paddling before towards Fredrikstad

I'm now walking through Sarpsborg

Last stretch on land before I'm back on Glomma again

Then, the final paddle to Fredrikstad

Alright!

This is the final paddling stretch

I've just hit the waters after Sarpfossen

And the water flows fastr

I have a speed of 11-12 kilometers per hour when doing slow paced paddling

And now it´s getting even more narrow, so I guess the speed will get even higher

Just 8 kilometers away from the Old Town in Fredrikstad

I'm soon at my final destination

It has exceeded all expectations - everything according to my plans

Incredible

The water is flowing quickly here

I don't bother checking the GPS, but I guess 5-6 kilometers an hour without any paddling

Daddy!

Thanks for watching :)

*Music*

Happy Birthday!

How I Got My Hairline Back Without Surgery - by Josh - Duration: 5:51.

IN THE LAST, LIKE, SIX TO EIGHT MONTHS IT GOT WORSE AND WORSE AND I ALWAYS SAID IF I

WAS GONNA BE ONE OF THOSE GUYS WHO HAD TO DO A COMBOVER, IT'S ALL GOING!

I'M JOSH STRONG, I'M 31 YEARS OLD AND I'M FROM POUGHKEEPSIE, NY.

I STARTED RECEDING FAIRLY EARLY, LIKE IN MY EARLY TWENTIES.

IN MY LATE TWENTIES, I STARTED THINNING, LIKE REALLY BAD.

LIKE RIGHT IN FRONT, RIGHT DOWN THE CENTER HERE.

IN THE LAST SIX TO EIGHT MONTHS IT WAS KIND OF LIKE A DAILY STRUGGLE TO LIKE MAKE IT LOOK

PRESENTABLE IN THE MIRROR.

I STARTED LOOKING INTO THINGS: LASER THIS AND COMB THIS.

AND I WAS JUST LIKE, YOU KNOW...MAYBE I SHOULD JUST SHAVE MY HEAD.

AND ODDLY ENOUGH I FOUND YOU GUYS ON FACEBOOK ONE DAY.

I COULDN'T BELIEVE THE BEFORE AND AFTERS.

IT LOOKED SO INCREDIBLY REAL.

NICE TO KNOW IF I DO DECIDE TO SHAVE MY HEAD, I'VE GOT THIS IN MY BACK POCKET 'CAUSE

I THINK I WOULD BE ABLE TO ROCK THIS LOOK.

WHEN I FIRST DID IT, IT WAS LIKE A SHOCK.

I WASN'T CRAZY ABOUT IT AND I WAS LIKE YOU KNOW WHAT, LET ME JUST EMAIL, SEE WHAT'S

UP.

SO WHAT ARE YOU HOPING TO GAIN HERE?

KIND OF A NEW LOOK.

SOMETHING A LITTLE BIT FULLER, NICE AND CLEAN.

ALRIGHT, JOSH STRONG, END OF THE FIRST SESSION.

NOW IT'S HIS TURN TO LOOK SO GO AHEAD.

WOW, THAT IS WILD.

DUDE.

IT LOOKS INCREDIBLE, DUDE.

YOUR FIRST SESSION IS KIND OF LIKE A LIGHT CAESAR.

IT'S VERY CRISP, IT'S VERY FAINT.

YOU START TO SEE SOMETHING COMING IN BUT IT'S OBVIOUSLY YOU CAN TELL WHAT THE SECOND SESSION

IS THERE FOR.

IT'S THERE TO JUST FILL EVERYTHING IN.

IT'S JUST THE BEGINNING.

IT LOOKS SO AWESOME, DUDE.

IT LOOKS SO AWESOME.

JUST SEEING IT IS WILD.

I MEAN, LIKE, HAVE A STRAIGHT HAIRLINE AGAIN AND IT LOOKS FULL.

I'M BLOWN AWAY.

IT LOOKS SO GOOD.

I HAVE 5 TATTOOS SO I KIND OF HAD A FAIR ASSUMPTION OF WHAT IT WAS GOING TO FEEL LIKE.

BUT I WOULDN'T EVEN REALLY CLASSIFY IT AS HURT.

IT'S ALMOST LIKE A RUBBER BAND SNAPPING SENSATION KIND OF.

JUST LOOKING IN THE MIRROR AFTER LIKE LOOKING IN THE MIRROR FOR SO LONG AND BEING LIKE UGH

THIS LOOKS AWFUL, OR TRYING TO MAKE SOMETHING LOOK GOOD.

YOU CAN ALREADY SEE IT STARTING TO TAKE SHAPE SEEING AREAS THAT ARE MORE FULL THAN OTHERS

AND LIKE SEEING ALL THAT COME TO FRUITION AND THAT NICE AND TIGHT LOOK.

IT'S GOING TO LOOK SO COOL.

I THINK THE AVERAGE PEOPLE WHO ARE WALKING IN THE GROCERY STORE OR MALL WOULD PROBABLY

NEVER BE ABLE TO TELL THE DIFFERENCE.

OH MAN.

SO HAVE YOU TOLD ANYONE ABOUT YOUR TREATMENT?

THEY WERE ALL JUST LIKE...WAIT A MINUTE...YOU LOOK DIFFERENT.

AND I'M LIKE YEA, I HAD THIS THING DONE IT'S CALLED SMP, IT'S HAIRLINE INK.

THEY'RE LIKE WAIT A MINUTE, SO IT'S NOT HAIR?

IT'S NOT, IT LOOKS LIKE IT.

THEY'RE LIKE DUDE, IT LOOKS SO GREAT.

AND I'M LIKE IT'S NOT EVEN DONE YET.

I WAS SHOWING THEM SOME OF THE BEFORE AND AFTERS.

THEY WERE JUST SO MIND BLOWN.

IT WAS SO DIFFERENT TO SEE WHAT LOOKS LIKE HAIR AND HAVE A STRAIGHT HAIRLINE AGAIN.

SO WE'RE ABOUT TO GET STARTED WITH YOUR SECOND SESSION.

AND WE'LL BE DONE IN A COUPLE HOURS.

I CAN'T GET OVER HOW REAL IT LOOKS.

YEA, I MEAN A COUPLE OF MY FRIENDS AND MY FAMILY KNEW I WAS GETTING THIS DONE ANYWAY

AND THEY THOUGHT AFTER SESSION ONE IT LOOKED GREAT.

I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE WHAT THEY THINK NOW.

THERE'S JUST SUCH A DRASTIC DIFFERENCE.

SESSION ONE IS WHAT I WOULD CONSIDER PROBABLY THE OUTLINE.

AND LIKE I SAID YOU CAN KIND OF START TO SEE WHAT'S TAKING SHAPE.

BUT SESSION TWO IS...YOU NEED THAT SESSION.

THERE'S NO FEELING LIKE LOOKING IN THE MIRROR AFTER LOOKING IN THE MIRROR AFTER THAT LAST

ALMOST TWO YEARS WITH YOUR HAIR THINNING AND JUST RAPIDLY GETTING WORSE.

IT WAS JUST THAT EPIC FEELING.

MY GOAL IS JUST TO BE ABLE TO LOOK IN THE MIRROR, FEEL SUPER CONFIDENT AGAIN AND LIKE

THE WAY THAT I LOOK.

BECAUSE I WASN'T REALLY FEELING IT WITH HAIR.

WASN'T REALLY FEELING IT WITH NO HAIR.

THIS IS THE HAPPY MEDIUM.

YOU KNOW, IT'S A NICE CLEAN LOOK.

I THINK IT'S AN INCREDIBLE ART.

THAT'S REALLY THE ONLY WORD THAT I WOULD HONESTLY USE TO DESCRIBE SMP.

I DON'T THINK IT'S A PROCEDURE, I GUESS TECHNICALLY IT IS.

BUT I LOOK AT IT MORE AS AN ART.

BECAUSE WHEN YOU LOOK IN THAT MIRROR YOU SEE HAIR.

YOU DON'T SEE A TATTOO OR SOMETHING THAT'S FAKE.

I SEE HAIR.

IT LOOKS SO REAL.

THE WAY IT'S BLENDED, THE COLOR MATCHING, EVERYTHING, IT'S AN ART.

I CAN'T STOP LOOKING AT IT, IT LOOKS SO INCREDIBLE.

I'M CURIOUS TO SEE FOR THOSE WHO HAVEN'T SEEN ME SINCE I'VE SHAVED MY HEAD, IF IT'S

GONNA LIKE TOTALLY JUST GO OVER THEIR HEAD AND BE LIKE "OH, HE LOOKS AWESOME WITH A

SHAVED HEAD.

WE'RE ABOUT TO DO A TOUCH-UP SESSION.

IT'S VERY OBVIOUS, YOU CAN SEE THE HAIRLINE BUT IT DID LIGHTEN.

HAIRLINE INK GIVES OUR CLIENTS THAT ONE FREE PASS.

DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT, YOU GOT 12 MONTHS, COME IN.

USING THAT THIRD SESSION RIGHT NOW AND SEE HOW WE CAN MAKE THIS TREATMENT COME BACK TO

LIFE.

WHOA!

WORLD OF DIFFERENCE.

MY POPS, HE HAD NO IDEA I WAS GETTING THIS DONE, HE JUST KNEW I WAS SHAVING MY HEAD.

HE'S LIKE "I NEVER REALIZED YOU HAD SUCH A STRONG HAIRLINE."

AND I'M LIKE YEA, I DO NOW!

IT JUST LOOKS FULLER.

IT LOOKS DARKER.

IT LOOKS EVEN MORE NATURAL.

I FEEL AMAZING TOO, LIKE DAY TO DAY.

MY WIFE IS LIKE, "YOU LOOK IN THE MIRROR A LOT NOW."

AND I'M LIKE YEA, I LOVE THE WAY I LOOK NOW.

IT'S JUST LIKE A WHOLE NEW PERSON.

JUST DO IT.

DON'T OVER THINK IT.

SHAVE YOUR HEAD.

GET ACCUSTOMED TO IT AHEAD OF TIME, AT LEAST THAT'S WHAT WORKED FOR ME.

AND I KNEW AFTER SHAVING MY HEAD, I TRIED BUZZING IT ALL THE WAY DOWN.

FELT LIKE I LOOKED LIKE BRUCE WILLIS.

One Year Anniversary Update ❤️ - Duration: 2:07.

Hello, my name is Rose, and it's nice to meet you!

People always ask me who, what, where, when, and why, I learned sign,

but the truth is, I don't know the answer.

I love sign language and I really don't know why but sign is my world!

And my dream is to become an interpreter or possibly a mother who adopts a deaf child,

or deaf children but I don't know. One day I was in my bed.

Staring at the ceiling. Just thought about nothing.

And next, I think that God told me:

(Trying to sound like a man) Hey, Rose!

Why don't you learn sign!

What? There was no meaning.

but I learn, push forward, and I practice every day!

And I still don't know why.

However this month is my one year anniversary

for learning sign language! :D

I'm not awesome, and I'm not fluent, and I'm defiantly NOT the World's Best Sign Language Interpreter.

But I try to improve and I will continue to learn for the rest of my life!

So, thank you! I hope I can make more videos for you!

Thank you, I love you!

A Story of How Hypnotherapy Can Help with Physical Issues - Duration: 2:06.

Hey guys my little guy is taking a nap so I'm gonna take a moment to tell you a

story. Years ago, a girl email me, she had lost her voice, we've all

lost our voice at some time or another, but what happened in her case was that

it never came back, so imagine that months went by and she was desperate

because she feared that she was gonna lose her job.

She was pretty much on her own,

she didn't have her dad in her life, she hadn't spoken to her mom in years

and she was so desperate that she wanted to see if hypnotherapy could help

her. I was totally honest with her and I told her: listen I've never worked on

this topic before but if you're willing to give it a shot I will do my absolute

best to help you.

What ended up happening was that she came in for a

session and I did the session but before I did the session, I

was so concerned about how everything would go that I even

prayed to God and asked him to please lead me and please help me to help her.

I did the session, I gave her suggestions, not just for her mind

but also for her body and for her throat to function exactly the way it's

supposed to.

What ended up happening was that a week later, the people that she

worked with could tell a difference, then three weeks later she found that 90%

of her voice had come back.

Amazing right? even I was really

surprised and I was so happy that the session helped her and that was just in

one session, usually things take a little bit more time, so it just goes to show

you that the mind and body they're all interconnected.

Many times we tend to think of the mind

as something very separate from the body but that's

not the case.

Since then, I've always

given my clients who had physical ailments who were looking to heal both

suggestions for their minds and bodies.

Well I hope you've enjoyed this little story,

I hope you're having a great Sunday and I look forward to chatting

with you guys again tomorrow.
