Bill Mitchell McCain Was 'Songbird' In Vietnam Who Sold Out Friends

The rumors about the 'songbird' might be true.

Another famous patriot decided to speak about John McCain and what he did back at the time.

Outspoken Trump supporter Bill Mitchell is facing harsh criticism after tweeting Friday

he believed Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., was a "songbird in Vietnam and sold out his

friends."

McCain spent five years as a prisoner of war in North Vietnam after his bomber was shot

down by a surface-to-air missile on Oct. 26, 1967.

Despite enduring torture at the hands of the North Vietnamese, McCain insists he did not

give any military information to his captors.

"I refused to give them anything except my name, rank, serial number and date of birth.

They beat me around a little bit.

I was in such bad shape that when they hit me it would knock me unconscious.

They kept saying, 'You will not receive any medical treatment until you talk,'"

McCain wrote in a 2008 first-person account for U.S. News.

In June 1968, McCain refused to accept an early release from captivity, knowing that

Navy Lt. Everett Alvarez, who was shot down in 1964, should have been the first POW released.

"I just knew it wasn't the right thing to do," McCain said, according to a 2007

profile in The Arizona Republic.

"I knew that they wouldn't have offered it to me if I hadn't been the son of an

admiral."

Many thought the radio host crossed the line in suggesting McCain sold out his friends

during his years as a POW.

"People can disagree politically but Mitchell's slam on McCain was seen by many as beyond

the pale," according to Twitchy.

talking about the brakes, on KTM we can totally turn off the ABS, while for Honda only at the front

well when we jump with the ABS, the bike tends to go further, while when you turn yuou might risk to go a bit too long

KTM's engine: it has a very good engine with a great power, which is not too hard to handle. It always pushes hard, especially over 6,000 RPM

Honda: the engine runs very well, it's smooth and linear, I think it's more suitable for anyone compared to the KTM

We have put both bikes on the test bed and the Honda has a similar output to the KTM but 1,000 RPM less

this bike has been racing in Chile §and Morocco and it has a Termignoni full exhaust, many carbon fibre parts and an aluminum sump guard

c'mon, stop talking and race a bit, he's a real champion! I think he'll be 15 seconds faster than you. Let's sort out the bikes

actaully I thought I had been faster with the the KTM, anyway, since I ride Yamaha, a SuperTenere would have been definitely faster!

this has been possible thanks to the great performance and suspensions of the KTM. I believe that this bike is a bit harder to ride compared to the Honda

Well KTM it's more racing, but in the end I've managed to achieve the same time with both bikes

the main difference between the two is the engine. Honda is smoother at low RPM with a lower fuel consumption: 14.5 Km/l in town comparedto the 14 of KT: 17.5 outside town for the KTM compared to the 18 of Honda, which also has the DCT

Honda has a price of 13,200 euro, while KTM 14,450 euro. On top of that, Honda can be purchased with the DCT shift. See you soon!

I can predict the future.

- Well, they did fall, but they didn't land on them.

(ding) - Oh! I was right.

However, his demons from his shady past are something that bothers him even more.

The rumors about the 'songbird' might be true.

Another famous patriot decided to speak about John McCain and what he did back at the time.

Outspoken Trump supporter Bill Mitchell is facing harsh criticism after tweeting Friday

he believed Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., was a "songbird in Vietnam and sold out his

friends."

McCain spent five years as a prisoner of war in North Vietnam after his bomber was shot

down by a surface-to-air missile on Oct. 26, 1967.

Despite enduring torture at the hands of the North Vietnamese, McCain insists he did not

give any military information to his captors.

"I refused to give them anything except my name, rank, serial number and date of birth.

They beat me around a little bit.

I was in such bad shape that when they hit me it would knock me unconscious.

They kept saying, 'You will not receive any medical treatment until you talk,'"

McCain wrote in a 2008 first-person account for U.S. News.

In June 1968, McCain refused to accept an early release from captivity, knowing that

Navy Lt. Everett Alvarez, who was shot down in 1964, should have been the first POW released.

"I just knew it wasn't the right thing to do," McCain said, according to a 2007

profile in The Arizona Republic.

"I knew that they wouldn't have offered it to me if I hadn't been the son of an

admiral."

Many thought the radio host crossed the line in suggesting McCain sold out his friends

during his years as a POW.

"People can disagree politically but Mitchell's slam on McCain was seen by many as beyond

the pale," according to Twitchy.

What Is Freedom? Will Success Ever Bring About Freedom? - Duration: 10:01.

Hello everyone, my name is Andrew and welcome to the video.

So today I just want to sit here and talk with you all about freedom.

I've been thinking about it a lot lately and it just kind of amazed me how we talk about

freedom today in a way that is totally misleading, deceiving, completely false propaganda in

order to get others to work for others.

I mean we hear all the time, pursuit of happiness, and we kind of tie in happiness with freedom

and money right?

And then we also hear freedom of speech, freedom of choice, freedom of religion, so we grow

up hearing and believing all of this from very very successful prominent people, leaders,

politicians and we see how how nice they look, how wonderful they look on the outside.

And we think, "Oh my gosh, what they're saying is correct!"

Like, we don't ever question this, we don't ever have the spark of doubt, that pierces

through this deception.

Because if we look around today, is freedom this effortful pursuit, that is never-ending?

Because once we get somewhere, once we achieve something, we are still comparing ourselves

with someone else and there is always someone else who has more than us.

So we're back again on the pursuit and is pursuit, is effortful living, which is also

consistent conflict, is that actually freedom?

So I feel like for us to understand this a little better, let's talk about focus, which

is a more positive word, I feel, than concentration because in school we've been told that concentrate,

concentrate on whatever it is that we're doing, because we want to get good grades and graduate

and work a nine-to-five for the rest of our lives.

So what does that mean, concentrate or focus?

As we can see focus and concentration, it kind of builds up these walls right?

These psychological walls that kind of zoom in on one thing, and therefore we're not aware

of anything, anything else around us.

We kind of just focus and concentrate on one thing.

So are we really free when we have built walls and are just going in one direction?

Is freedom just in this one direction?

Or is freedom just like, you know, you're free all around, and I've been caught in this,

my 6 years pursuing my dream of being a pro soccer player, and it's like we keep getting

fed the propaganda, you're almost there, you know, once you get there you will have a lot

of money, a lot of success, which equals freedom.

However, with this success, with all of this money, all these nice things, then don't we

get attached to these things?

Don't we fear that these things will get taken away?

And isn't that very fear interfering with freedom?

I heard a story once about a man who has accumulated so many riches and he had all of his riches

around in his bed money, gold, silver, jewellery, you-name-it, diamonds, and he was very ill,

about to die, very sick, and you know, before he died he asked his family member to place

all of his riches in front of him before he died, because he was so afraid to leave this

life behind, he was so afraid of death because death is that sweeping impermanence, that

just wipes everything away, clean.

And what we are searching for is this permanence.

This permanent pleasure, or permanent comfort without any pain whatsoever.

So it's like when we have this success, which we call Freedom, then we're attached to it.

So we live in fear of losing it and when we don't have the success, or this freedom, then

we're in fear of never achieving it and then for both sides were always in pursuit, because

we're always psychologically comparing with one another, oh this person has all this and

I have none of that.

Oh I have all of this, but I have to catch up with that other person, and it's like a

constant conflict no matter what circumstance, no matter what situation we are in.

So isn't freedom this state of mind?

Isn't it seeing and understanding, that no matter what direction we take, or no matter

what choice we choose, there is still conflict, pain, suffering, there are still these walls,

psychologically, that we build up, that just imprison us.

And we can decorate it however we want by achieving and earning nice things, like awards

and medals, money, all that and just kind of decorate the prison walls that we've

built and still never never move out of that, that groove of conflict, that we put ourselves

in.

So I thought this was pretty interesting, how when I heard Krishnamurti say, "Freedom

is the beginning and the end."

Freedom is not out there, freedom is within and here.

It's looking at the root of fear, at the root of all this conflict that is going on outwardly.

We look at the outward, and we try to fix the outward by finding something else that

is outward.

So we are always going in a direction and when we we're in a direction we immediately

build up these walls, we immediately enclose ourselves.

The space, that freedom actually is, which is all around, get's enclosed into a certain

direction.

So can we understand how or what it is that is building the psychological walls?

Can we learn and understand at the same time what it is that is the root of all of this?

Because if we try to get rid of one thing outside, in order to achieve freedom, then

another thing replaces it, and therefore we're stuck in that other direction or we we're

attached to that other thing.

So if we deal with the root of everything, then it's like one sweep, we wipe everything

away, and there is just beauty and joy and happiness that's left, not the word definition

of beauty joy and happiness, but that which is not explained or described.

Like when we're looking at the beautiful mountains driving down a open road on a sunset, or during

a sunset, and we just look at the mountains, and that's all there is.

We're not thinking about anything else, that moment is just... that.

So can we live like that totally, completely, all the time?

I say it's possible, but yeah that's my little rant on freedom.
