Youtube News: February 2019

Hey guys, so today's video is going to be another one of my drugstore favorites videos

I've been going through all of my favorite cruelty-free drugstore brands and sharing the top ten products from each brand with you guys

so today we are chatting about Flower Beauty and I'm so excited Flower Beauty is one of my favorite brands they make so many amazing

high quality products and I usually get my products at Ulta Beauty so you can save a little bit of money because the brand is on

sale on occasion or you can use like a 20% off coupon

They're a little bit more expensive than some of the other drugstore brands, but I do think their products really are great

so in today's video I'm sharing my top ten with you. If there are any products that you love that I don't mention

please leave a comment below because there are still products from the brand that I haven't tried

So my first favorite is something that I talk about a lot on my channel

but it is the Supernova Celestial Skin Elixir. This retails for $15.99 and this is such a beautiful facial oil

don't let the product intimidate you because it does look like it's going to be very shimmery very glittery on the skin

but when you apply this to the skin it does not look glittery or shimmery at all it looks so naturally radiant

It just leaves your skin feeling and looking so smooth and so soft and makeup goes on top so beautifully

you don't have to apply makeup over this product if you are just going for like a bare face that day

it's a great option because it leaves your skin feeling really moisturized and it gives you a really nice healthy glow

Another good hydrating option from Flower Beauty is the In Your Prime Hydrating Primer this one retails for $10.99

and I like this one because it feels moisturizing but it's not watery or oily or greasy

It feels more like your typical face primer. The texture is really nice because it leaves your skin feeling refreshed

so it definitely has that moisturizing property to it

but at the same time it leaves your skin smooth and ready for makeup application

it almost blurs fine lines and fills in pores in a way that's very subtle very natural.

Now if you are more of like if you like to kick off your makeup routine with more of a facial oil

I would recommend the Supernova Celestial Skin Elixir over this primer

but if you prefer more of like a typical standard face primer this one is going to be a great option

because not only does it smooth and blur and fill in pores and fine lines your skin feels and looks really healthy and moisturized at the same time

The Flower Beauty Light Illusion Perfecting Powder is such a beautiful powder and I had just filmed a video on my favorite face powders before discovering

this product but if I had tried this earlier it definitely would have been in that video. This one retails for $13.99

and I'm so impressed by this. I don't think that I've tried a powder that really blurs my skin like this one does

it really does give your skin a very soft focus effect and it looks so pretty and at the same time

it's very lightweight it's not an overly powdery powder it's so easy to use

it's very comfortable on the skin and I just really enjoy this if you have super oily skin and you're looking for like the most

mattifying powder on the market this probably isn't the one for you

it's kind of a trade off for me because even though I have oily skin and I like a mattifying powder

this one looks so natural on the skin that I almost prefer this one. A lot of more like natural powders that are marketed that way

don't give any coverage and this one just sets everything into place so well and it has like light coverage

it blurs everything it just looks so so beautiful. I'm so excited to talk about this next product.

These are the Flower Beauty Blush Bomb Color Drops they retail for $9.99 and there are six different shades

This product is so beautiful and so unique if you guys know me I am not a cream cheek product fan

I do not like cream bronzers, blushes, or highlighters

I just don't purchase them at this point because I don't wear them. The difference for me is that this product actually

lasts on my skin a lot of cream products just kind of melt away or wear off by the end of the day and it

blends out so well on the skin it just looks so so pretty like that's just a tiny amount

so it would work perfectly for my skin to have like just a light flush

but you can obviously build it up to get more of a pigmented appearance.

Here's one of the darker shades that is just such a small amount so even if you have a darker skin tone

I do think this would work well for you and if you have a lighter skin tone you can sheer it out

I'm just so super impressed by the quality of this product because it's just so beautiful, it's unlike any other cream cheek product that I've tried.

So I think my actual favorite Flower Beauty product is this one. This is actually one of my

favorite makeup products of all time it is the Shimmer and Strobe Highlighting Palette and it retails for $13.99

This is such a high quality palette the formula probably I want to say it's better than

pretty much all of my high-end highlighters if not all of them. It might possibly be the best highlight formula that I've ever tried

it is so lightweight so easy to work with and I just did not know that it was going to be so good I had heard so many good things about it

and then I finally tried it and I just want everybody to try this.

It's such a lightweight texture but it just looks so beautiful from like the second you apply it

it almost looks like a cream highlight but it's definitely a powder but a lot of highlighters sit on top of the skin in such an unflattering

way and that is not the case with this one this is such a beautiful palette I reach for it every single time

I wear highlighter and I just I really enjoy it I think you will too.

Flower Beauty does have a couple of eyeshadow palettes

my favorite is the Shimmer and Shade Eyeshadow Palette which retails for $16.99

but Golden Natural is my favorite because it just comes with a lot of your staple neutral colors

this palette is so easy to work with if you do not want a high maintenance

palette and you want a palette that's going to help you create a look in like two minutes

this one is the one for you. The matte shadows are a little powdery

but I find that they blend so easily on the eyes and the palette actually comes with a brush

so I literally take a matte shadow and blend it into the crease and then I take my finger and use any one of the

shimmer shadows and place it all over the lid if you want to go crazy

you can take one of the darker shadows and blend it in the outer corner and take one of the lighter

metallics and use your finger for like the inner corner

but essentially you can create an entire eyeshadow look just using the brush and your finger

so it's great for everyday wear it takes me like two minutes to do a complete eye look

which I love and I just find the formula just easy to work with

So let's talk about the Flower Beauty Glitter Warrior Shadows these retail for $10.99

this has to be one of my favorite glitter metallic shadow formulas.

They market them as glitter shadows and there definitely is glitter in these shadows for sure

but the reason why I like them more than a lot of other liquid shadows on the market is because they have more of like a metallic opaque base.

They stay in place really well without smudging or flaking and they're just again, low-maintenance shadows

just like the palette they're not hard to work with

you can apply shadow underneath you can wear them on their own and the colors that they have created are really beautiful

I always talk about the Flower Beauty Lash Warrior Mascara

but I really like this one it retails for $9.99 and they have three shades they have a- the one that I have is called Fiercest Black

and then they have like a regular black and they also have a brown. This is such a good mascara because it really does separate your lashes so well

it really grabs onto like each individual lash so you don't get like a spidery or clumpy look like you do with a lot of other

voluminous mascaras or mascaras that are supposed to make your lashes look really thick.

I find that it really like lifts and curls my lashes and just separates them and they look really beautiful

this is a nice mascara because you can go in with one coat and it looks really natural or you can build it up for

more of a dramatic look as well. Also it does not smudge on me it doesn't flake it stays in place really well.

So this is the Light Illusion Full Coverage Concealer I have the shade fair and it retails for $9.99.

Now this concealer does have a few cons I will say which I'll get to in a second

but it is a very lightweight blendable concealer that still gives nice coverage I would say that it's more of a medium coverage

so I think it's great for everyday wear. It's not too heavy, it definitely doesn't look cakey and it's just comfortable and easy to wear.

Now as for the cons, it definitely does crease on me but I have really obvious under eye wrinkles

so if you don't really struggle with that that might not bother you but if your

concealers do tend to crease this one probably will end up creasing on you by the end of the day.

It also doesn't last all day for me it tends to break down after about like six or seven hours but I do a very oily skin

I think those of you with dry skin might actually like this one more

because it is more of a moisturizing product and the last con is that they only have six shades

I have the shade fair which is the lightest shade and it's almost a little too dark for me

so I assume if you have a darker or a lighter skin tone it's going to be way too dark for you

and the darkest shade is going to be way too light for those of you with dark or deep skin tones out of all of my

favorites this one definitely does have like the most cons but I still wanted to include it in today's video because the formula

it's a good everyday formula and it still is one of my favorite Flower Beauty products so I just wanted to throw it in there.

The last thing that I want to mention are the Flower Beauty Petal Pout Lip Colors these retail for $7.99 they have twenty shades

I only have two but I have a matte lipstick and a cream lipstick they do make them in both finishes and this is such a good formula

they're so rich and smooth and bold you get one swipe pigmentation and they're really comfortable to wear

they just they're a really really good reliable option I like both finishes

so whether you're looking for a matte lipstick or a cream lipstick these are just a good affordable option.

Also the packaging is really nice like these are just packaged

so beautifully I love that the lid is clear so you can see the color and they just look

so gorgeous and they're fun to use. So those are all of my favorite products from Flower Beauty

Oh, but seriously, it does suck, and setting a time

really sets the conversation up for success.

- And who doesn't want that?

- Step number three, use an I statement

to describe how you feel.

- And listen, an I statement is not

just a sentence that begins with the letter I.

Put very simply, an I statement goes like this.

I feel blank when you blank.

Or even I feel blank when blank.

- Now an I statement turns what could be an accusation

into an explanation.

A good example is, you don't call me

when you get home from work.

That's an accusation, see, she's leaving.

But I feel sad when you don't call me after work.

That's an explanation and a proper use of an I statement.

The idea here (laughs) is to open up a conversation,

not to blame your partner, see?

Now she's back.

- Because when you point the blame at someone,

especially your partner, they're gonna get defensive.

It is human nature to defend when we're feeling attacked.

So don't attack your partner, use those I statements.

- Comment below this video

and tell us how you feel

about using I statements to talk to your partner.

Are you scared?

Are you excited?

Are you a little nervous?

Okay, only two more steps left.

- Oh my gosh, is that all?

- Step number four, and this one's important.

Let your partner know what you'd like them

- Because we don't just want to complain to our partners.

We want to give them some idea

of what solution we're looking for.

- Otherwise, I would try to fix

anything Rachel came to me with with the only things

I know to do, foot rubs and extra food.

- I mean, that doesn't sound too bad.

- It doesn't sound too bad but it won't solve the problems

she's actually coming to me with.

- Yeah, okay fine, I see your point.

Step five, ask them how that sounds.

This is the most important step.

- I totally agree, I think that so often

even when we come up with a solution,

we don't ask our partner, what do you think about this?

- It's true, and when you get into these conversations,

it's important to realize that you're on the same team,

and you don't want anyone to feel

like they won or lost the argument or conversation.

If you view your relationship in terms of wins and losses,

the only thing that's losing

is your chance at a happy future together.

- Ooh, pfoo.

- Peyuw.

- Mike drop! - Mike drop!

- Bomb! - Mike drop bomb?

- Mike drop bomb! - I don't know!

- Pft!

This question turns something that could be seen as a demand

into a conversation, because after all,

you're on a frickin' team!

- And that's it!

- Now you know exactly how

to communicate with your partner effectively.

- I mean, I still reference these tools

when I'm too emotionally overwhelmed,

and we've been teaching this for like years.

- Yeah, quite awhile, which is why

we've written out scripts for you.

The California resort, which has since been renamed the Majestic Yosemite, was used to film many of the interior scenes of Stanley Kubrick's cult classic horror film The Shining, which was adopted from a novel by Steven King's novel and stars Jack Nicholson, RELATED: 11 Unreal National Parks to Visit in Your Lifetime While the exterior shots of the 1980 release's fictional Overlook Hotel were actually captured in Oregon at the Timberline Lodge, famous scenes such as Danny tricycling through the hotel and the shot with the man in the bear suit, were filmed at the Ahwahnee

The double-height lobby and check-in area will also be instantly recognizable to film buffs

The potential creepiness did not deter Jobs and Powell, who after they married, went on to have three children — a son Reed, born in 1991, and daughters Erin, born in 1995 and Eve, born in 1998

(Jobs passed away in October 2011 of pancreatic cancer). In fact, since its film debut, the four-star resort, which landed a spot on the National Register of Historic Places and is acclaimed as a National Historic Landmark, has welcomed many famous guests, both before and after The Shining was released

In 1983, Queen Elizabeth II stayed in the hotel's Mary Curry Tresidder Junior Suite (currently $531/night), which was once a private bedroom, but was turned into a guest room with a four-poster canopy king bed in 1970, according to the National Park Reservations website

John F. Kennedy stayed in the hotel's Presidential Suite while he was still a senator

The suite is outfitted with a parlor, balcony, fireplace, pull-out sofa, flat screen TV and a separate bedroom with a king bed, TV, telescope and full bath

Multiple outlets report that President Barack Obama also visited the remote resort over Father's Day Weekend in 2016 with his family, enjoying morning workouts at the Yosemite recreation center and hiking a nearby falls, including Happy Isles, the Fresno Bee reported

Since it was erected in 1927, the resort has provided an oasis in Northern California, offering 99 rooms in the main building as well as 24 supplemental cottages

The hotel also hosts backpacking, hiking, and family adventures through Yosemite National Park

The grounds also feature an outdoor swimming pool, hot tub and a lounge/bar, the Majestic Yosemite Hotel Dining Room, and a sweet shop

Before the game, you said Inter are among the 5 or 6 favourites to win this competition.

Does this 4-0 win send out a message to the other contenders?

It's confirmation of the good work we've been doing lately.

We've improved some of the things we weren't doing so well

and in the second half we played some superb football in the final third

with lovely link-up play at close quarters.

Plus, we capped it off with some wonderful goals, which our fans deserve.

Matteo Politano came off the bench and scored,

correct me if I'm wrong but playing I think as a false nine.

Was it more to give Lautaro Martinez a breather

or did you want to experiment with Politano in that position?

It was a bit of both things.

What Riccardo was saying earlier is right.

There's always a risk so once the match has taken a certain turn,

especially with the situation we have right now, with a couple missing in that position,

if you can eliminate the risk of picking up an injury it's better to do so.

That's why we decided.

Lautaro was fine and didn't want to come off because he was keen to score, as strikers are.

We were able to see the game out calmly with no anxiety about the next match.

Hi Luciano.

We saw you were talking to Cedric a lot, especially in the first half.

He was perhaps making a few mistakes on that right flank

with his timing, his decision-making, in getting forward and so on

but you do seem to have more difficulty building play down the flanks

and finding space further forward.

I said to Skriniar that it seems easier

when you play out through Brozovic and Vecino in the middle.

They seem to be able to get it out to the wings and get forward more quickly that way.

Do you think there is a bit of a problem, especially on the right

because Cedric is new, Candreva hasn't played much and they haven't played much together,

in playing out and getting forward down that side?

It depends how the move develops of course but generally

the full-back has two ways he can provide width.

He can exchange passes when he's closer to the centre-backs

or he can provide width by pushing up when he overlaps the wide forward.

When the centre-back brings the ball forward towards the centre-right

the opposition's left-sided forward drops back in case the ball is played into his half.

That makes it more likely the ball will be played to the full-back's feet.

Deciding which position to take up is something we can improve

but what you must be very careful of is when you find yourself two against one.

You have to take whoever is pushed highest and widest on your side

because if you push up and your opponent attacks down your flank

then you leave a gap that gets covered by the centre-back sliding across.

That means you have just one centre-back in the box, which can be dangerous.

So it was a case of not being caught out with players running in behind in the first half.

Mum wants Government prosecuted as daughter takes own life when benefits stopped - News Today - Duration: 5:05.

A grieving mother has called for the Government to face prosecution after her disabled daughter took her own life days after her benefits were stopped

Joy Dove found her daughter Jodey Whiting's body surrounded by goodbye notes, Teesside Live reports

The Department for Work and Pensions repeatedly broke its own rules prior to mum-of-nine Jodey's death two years ago, a report has revealed, amid "multiple failings" by officials

A watchdog has said the "blunt and insensitive" DWP should apologise and pay Jodey's family £10,000 over its handling of her case

But Jodey's mum, Joy, has called it an 'insult'. Joy branded the cash "blood money" and claims she has not been paid a penny

Saying she will take legal advice, she claimed: "They killed my daughter. "If that was me, I'd be taken to court

I want the same to happen to them." "Loving" Jodey took several tablets a day - including morphine - for the crippling pain which left her barely able to even crawl from her Teesside home

It meant the former shop assistant, who also battled severe mental health issues, was forced into early retirement

But after missing one work capability assessment, her benefits were halted. Just over two weeks later, her inquest heard she took her own life because of that decision

"The last thing I said to her was 'don't worry if you don't get your money back, I'll go to the Gazette," recalled Joy

"But she said "I love you, I'm going to go to sleep mam." Joy would discover her body, surrounded by farewell notes to the family Jodey's mum said she doted on

One read: "I love my kids - I've just had had enough." "She loved them to bits - she was the best mum," beamed Joy

She said as a child Jodey loved dolls, and grew up dreaming that one she would be a mum herself

But The Independent Case Examiner (ICE) has ruled there were "significant failings in the events leading up to her death"

It found: "Service failures" from the DWP after she died - including a letter confirming her benefits had been cut The department repeatedly failed to apologise for its shortcomings The DWP failed five times to follow its own safeguarding rules "It is clear that Jodey was vulnerable, had been suffering from severe mental health issues and had said she was suicidal," reads the report

"I find it extremely disappointing that in investigating the complaints (Joy) raised, we have seen that DWP have either failed to investigate, or failed to acknowledge, the extent of events in Jodey's case

" The regulator ordered the "DWP apologise and make a consolatory payment" for £10,000

The payment would be, in part, for the "uncertainty and distress that the knowledge of DWP's repeated failures to follow their safeguarding procedures" would have caused her family

Yet despite living near the hard-up estate made famous on Channel Four's 'Benefit Street', Joy said she'd consider donating the money to charity

"I was shocked (to hear) about the money, but when you think it is their fault she died, it is nothing," said the pensioner

"It cost £6,500 just to bury her and for the headstone, and to think she had nine kids, and grandkids, the money won't go far

"Really it is an insult. "I'd sooner wait and not bother with the money just to show them how they helped her to commit suicide

" Addressing what ICE acknowledged was a "highly unusual case", a DWP spokesperson said: "We apologise to Ms Whiting's family for the failings in how we handled her case and the distress this caused them

"Our thoughts are with them at this difficult time and we are providing compensation

"We fully accept the Independent Case Examiner's findings and are reviewing our procedures to ensure this doesn't happen again

" It agreed to complete the watchdog's recommendations by March 21. But as she marks two years since her final goodbye to her "beautiful" daughter, Joy is committed to her 'Justice For Jodey' campaign

And she's planning getting legal advice, as well as raising her case in Parliament

And she's vowed to keep fighting the DWP, adding: "They are only doing any of this because they've been made to

Honey Garlic Glazed Chicken Thighs ~ Cooking Chicken on Stove Top - Duration: 4:33.

This one pan chicken dinner produces a delicious rich thick sticky honey garlic

glaze. I'm Tess and come join me and I'll show you how I make my honey garlic

chicken.

This Honey Garlic Chicken dinner is easy to make and delicious. I have six

bone-in chicken thighs that I cleaned, trimmed, sponge dry with a paper towel

and now I'm seasoning both sides with some adobo seasoning. You can just use

some salt and black pepper or season with whatever you like. I like using

bone-in chicken thighs because they never disappoint. They cook evenly and

they are juicy and tender.

I have my skillet on medium-high and I'm adding in some olive oil. I have an

electric stove and my heat is between a seven and eight. I want to produce a nice

sear on the skin. I'm placing the chicken thighs skin down and letting them cook

for about six to eight minutes without moving. You will see the skin starting to

brown around the bottom edges. Keep an eye on it and then give them a flip.

The chicken should release from the pan easily and the skin should be golden and crispy.

I'm turning down my heat to a medium or between a 5 and 6 on my electric stove

and letting the under side of the chicken cook for about 5 minutes so it gets a

nice golden crust. I'm now covering and letting the chicken cook for another 5 minutes.

Just keep an eye on the heat. Every stove is different and you want

the chicken to simmer and not burn. After 5 minutes I'm giving the chicken a flip,

skin side down, covering and cooking for another 5 minutes. After 5 minutes of

giving the chicken one final turn with the skin side up, covering and cooking

for 5 to 10 more minutes or until done. Internal temp of the chicken should be

a hundred and sixty-five degrees Fahrenheit to be safe.

I'm piling the chicken to the side because now I want to make that

delicious honey garlic sauce. I still have my heat on medium. This is the

amount of chicken fat that I had left in the pan which is about a quarter of a cup.

Depending on the amount of fat your chicken produces, you may need to drain

some fat or add some fat like butter or oi.l I have a good heaping tablespoon of

minced garlic and giving that a stir for about 15 to 20 seconds.

Now I'm adding in some chicken broth and that's going to help deglaze the pan, a

little rice vinegar or you can use apple cider vinegar, soy sauce and the other

star of the show... honey! Giving that a good stir and also

scraping up all those tidbits on the bottom. I'm rearranging the chicken and

turning up my heat to bring this up to a simmer. Going to let the sauce reduce to

about half and this is going to take about three to four minutes.

While simmering I'm spooning the sauce over the chicken so the chicken can soak up

all this delicious flavors.

And it's ready to eat! I'm serving tonight with some jasmine rice and asparagus.

The sauce is surprisingly good and not overly sweet. It is rich and full

flavor with a nice taste of garlic. Since the sauce is rich, a little goes a

long way. I'm spooning a little on each chicken thigh and garnishing with some

chopped green onions and sesame seeds. This one pot honey garlic chicken dinner

is easy and great for this busy weekday nights. it's also easy on the budget!

Kubiak missed coaching too much to resist job with Vikings - Duration: 4:45.

He found his place in Minnesota, with this natural opportunity to add an experienced leader and accomplished strategist to a fluctuated offensive coaching staff

"As a first-time coordinator, I would have been foolish not to go do everything in our power to bring in a guy who has been in seven Super Bowls as a player and a coach," Vikings offensive coordinator Kevin Stefanski said

Though Kubiak was the play-caller for the 2015-16 champion Broncos, his ninth of 10 seasons as an NFL head coach, that responsibility will rest with Stefanski, who has given the Vikings their own millennial-generation offensive guide in a league that has fast filled up with them

As an assistant head coach to Mike Zimmer and offensive adviser, though, Kubiak will bring a long history of supervising productive offenses and a low-ego, laid-back personality set up to mesh well with the staff

The Vikings also hired his son, Klint Kubiak (quarterbacks), and two of his longtime colleagues, Rick Dennison (offensive line) and Brian Pariani (tight ends), to try to help support Stefanski and give the offense a lift after lagging below the league average in the first season with quarterback Kirk Cousins

Gary Kubiak will be in the booth during games, with Stefanski on the sideline. Dennison will also hold the title of running game coordinator

"I like to be surrounded by smart people," Stefanski said.After serving as Denver's backup quarterback behind Pro Football Hall of Fame member John Elway on three AFC title-winning teams, Kubiak broke into the NFL coaching ranks as quarterbacks coach for the Super Bowl champion San Francisco 49ers in the 1994-95 season

He was offensive coordinator for the Broncos for the next 11 years, winning two more Super Bowls along the way, before becoming head coach of the Houston Texans

Kubiak suffered a mini-stroke during a game there in 2013, leading to his departure

He returned to the Broncos as head coach in 2015 and promptly won another Super Bowl

He was hospitalized again in 2016 due to a complex migraine condition that caused extreme fatigued and declared his retirement at the end of that season

Elway, now Denver's president of football operations, then assigned Kubiak as a personnel adviser

The first year he did the job from his farm outside Houston, before working full time at Broncos headquarters in 2018

That's when Kubiak realized he wanted back in the coaching game. He was widely expected to serve as new Denver head coach Vic Fangio's offensive coordinator, but the two sides weren't able to agree on the schematics

"I missed it. I really did. There's just something about it at the end of the week: 'Did we get a 'W' or not?' Just that feeling," Kubiak said, adding: "I love being around players

I love to teach. This gives me an opportunity to get back and do that."For the 57-year-old Kubiak, the high-stress job of a head coach won't work anymore, but other than his recovery from a recent hip replacement surgery he said he's feeling good

The focus with Stefanski, Dennison and the rest of the staff this winter has been to revamp the playbook in a way that utilizes the type of zone-blocking runs and play-action passes the Broncos enjoyed success with during Kubiak's tenure there but strives to avoid predictability

Cousins started his career with Washington under head coach Mike Shanahan, who was Kubiak's boss on those late-1990s championship teams in Denver, so there's a solid philosophical connection from which the Vikings to build

"We need to do everything we can to help him out. I look forward to that relationship," Kubiak said

"Hopefully being in there a little bit — well, what little bit John let me play in my career — I can recall some of those things
