Hello, I'm Min Ponie

i"m Korean

If you have just arrived in Seoul, South Korea

I suggest you go to Seoul Station

Because Seoul Station is located in the center of Seoul

and there are many places to go

It's close to Myeong-dong, Jongno and Gwanghwamun

Also there are many dormitories and large supermarkets near Seoul Station

for foreign friends to use conveniently

But...

I don't know how to go here

How do you ask for directions at this time?

Today's sentence

How to go to Seoul Station?

seouryeok eotteoke ganayo

[Seoul Station] in Korean is [서울역]

The next [어떻게] can be understood as [how]

This word needs to pay attention to the pronunciation

eo tteo ke

ga na yo

This is a question word

If used alone,

[가나요] can be understood as [go?]

Connect these words together

How to go to Seoul Station?

seouryeok eotteoke ganayo

Ahhh Seoul Station!!

Seoul Station Seoul...

How to go to Seoul Station..?

seouryeok eotteoke ganayo

In the last video, we learned the word [Myeong-dong]

Do you still remember?

[Myeong-dong] is written as [명동] in Korean

Then let's try to talk [How to go to Myeongdong?] in Korean

myeongdong eotteoke ganayo

Generally Koreans are very friendly

If you ask them, they will tell you how to go

so don't be afraid to ASK

seouryeok eotteoke ganayo

Today's video ends here

- Duration: 3:09.

Individualism is a concept

that is often associated to selfishness,

and sometimes

both terms are considered as synonyms.

Some institutions

are continuingly developing this problem. For example, the Pope,

when he evokes the term individualism, he means selfishness.

A selfish individual is someone who thinks only about himself

and isn't worried about others,

and therefore it is a synonym for selfishness.

As an alternative point of view,

I proposed many years ago a different approach.

This one I have just summarized is a moral approach.

But the idea of individualism is above all

what I would label as being antropo-historical.

From this perspective,

individualism is not equivalent to selfishness.

Individualism is...

a new configuration...

a response to new configurations of modern values

that place the individual's sovereignty

over himself

and concerning the Law.

Therefore, the idea of individual leads

to the principle that

every person is to be seen as free

and similar to the others.

For being free and similar to the others,

they also legislate over their own lives,

they should organize their lives and carry it out freely,

and they must also

organize life in society, it is to say, to create laws

through the vote, through universal suffrage.

From this perspective, individualism is not the same as selfishness,

but means, preferably,

liberty.

Jig per tagli ripetuti - Duration: 7:16.

Hello

here we are, even today, like every Monday

in my hovel

today I'll show you

as I did

this

arquebus

this Jig

it serves for

repeated cuts

for pen blocks,

to have them all the same size

reference is made to the

tube that must be inserted into the pen

what keeps the mechanisms,

after that

you can make many cuts, all repeated and all

certainly of the same size

enough, now I leave you to

video of how I did it

and see you later for the greetings

We cut 2 pieces to 25 cm

we make 2 holes, 5 cm from the edges ...

of 8 mm

let's chuck now to create a guide ...

ATTENTION TO HANDS !!!

We create the headquarters for the "spider"

.. let's talk about it for good !!!

..glue..

let's check the square ...

nails

nails

so many nails !!!

we leave a border of 5 mm

nails

nails

nails

Cutting test

.. insert the tube

in the seat

we take

the block

wooden

Perfect!!!

Well,

I hope this also Jig

you liked it

it is also easy to implement

because it's done with

almost all recycled materials

the only piece I bought is

this aluminum slide

but it seems to me that 1 meter costs

2 - 3 euros

the rest was everything

recovery material, as we like it ...

well, you saw that

come out

of cut blocks

slightly longer than the

of the tube

but this serves me because later

when you go to insert

go with the appropriate cutter

to even the surface

with the tube

see you next Monday

and finally I'll show you

as I have

made of holographic writings

for

customize the pens and so on

Food: steamed mini squid Please enjoy watching! plz 'Like' and 'Subscribe'

my papa is a dementia patient. Please understand he may not have many facial expressions

Hello yeppys

Today, we'll gonna try steamed mini squid

It looks pretty, isn't it?

This squid is so cute, can I get more subscribers?

Let's try

It's small, so I won't cut it.

Use dish like me. (she is senior of mukbang)

this is tender and delicious, I've heard that this gut tastes similar to that of a crab, it's true.

Its my first time to try steamed mini squid

It's been a long time since I've had this whisky.

I heard that one of your subscribers bought this whiskey.

the merits of this whisky: It always feel like I'm opening a new one

shake it, shake it

Smell it

strong?

put it there

I feel like I'm losing my mind after drinking this. you?

This makes my stomach warm..

is it natural? / yes

This has separated the trunk and tail

so pretty, isn't it?

very very delicious!

I think I prepared too little squid

Isn't it good to eat this because it's tender?

It tastes different from the chicken I ate yesterday. / Of course that's wrong. It's not something to compare.

Now there's only one squid left, so I'll drink all the whiskey and eat it.

I can eat ten squid by myself.

It's really that good.

I'll have to pick a big one. It's the same size.

It's really good

The squid shot me

I think they're saying thank you for eating so much.

The squid's gut are similar in color to those of the crab, and tastes similar.

My husband is very delicious, too.

We both lack squid

we want more

I'm not full today.

My son told me and my husband to eat only two. But I said I'd eat three each.

We should've eaten four each.

It's because it's not good to leave food

I can eat ten of them

really good!

it's very tender!

Just drink the rest of the whiskey and stop drinking

why you do that? because deilicious?! / yes, it's delicious

you want drink more?

enough!

Please tell me what it tastes like

it's delicious, but.... / but what? it's small?

it's small to eat... / oh really?

It's the first time we feel we're short of food.

This is smaller than I thought. And it's so delicious.

If I had known it would be so delicious, I would have prepared more.

I'm afraid I'll celebrate what I ate today.

you try it! awesome! awesome!

It's unusual for a husband to say this. To him, this squid is too tender and delicious.

There's nothing to blame for.

For those of you who didn't hear it well, there's no shortcoming.

bye bye! please a lot 'subscribe' and 'like'

Fnaïre - Siri Siri Reaction [Koreans Hoon & Cormie] / Hoontamin - Duration: 9:13.

We watched the music video 'The5 - La Bezzaf' before

The views were not high at that time

But recently many Arab viewers have visited us

They watched the video and left many comments

I was a little surprised, they are from all over the Arab countries

Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Egypt

And comments from Iraq

However, in the case of Arabic

Sometimes errors occur in our PC environment

Sometimes it also doesn't translate well

So I couldn't read all the comments you left

Thank you for your visit

Today we will watch a new recommended Arabic music video

It's a Moroccan music video

How can I pronounce this?

Don't look at me, I can't read

We tried to search this group on Google

They are a Moroccan hip hop band

'A lamp that lights youth'?

It's said that is what it means

Is the group name related to fire?

Fire?

If not?

I don't know, I deduced it from a 'lamp'

Maybe possible

Let's go to watch

The car is gorgeous

English subtitles here

The car, you have to take it

The interesing thing was a club

I think this part is nice

'Ferrari' part

Perhaps 'Siri' means 'Go away'

This dance...

Really new

Why does she want villa and Ferrari?

I was going to say that

Interesting

Good

The melody is...

Excited

Actually I don't know the language

I also don't know Arabic at all

I can feel strange because of language

The accompaniment feels like the music we're used to

Different for me

It was so different from the hiphop I know

I hardly know Arab music

The only thing I know is that an old Saudi song

'Habibi', I've heard the song

We watched The5's song, it was a new experience

Music videos that we can feel Arabic styles

It's still strange

Where did you feel the Arab style?

Maybe a distinctive rhythm

Unique style that you can feel in Arab music

I thought of traditional things

There are many countries in the Arab

So the costumes and music styles will be different

This is a Moroccan music video

So I think they're very different

Anyway, it was interesting

We don't know Arabic, and actually

I have been watched many music videos from around the world

But there was little chance of watching Arab music videos

So actually, today is really new

I remember, Siri Siri'

Interested, and 'Ferrari'

Good for me, I can get used to it

I originally thought a strong hiphop song

Because there was a heart on the car

I thought it wasn't like a hip-hop song

But the place has turned into a club

So I thought this song will be strong

Actually it was a hiphop song that yo can listen to easily

I don't know why she wants villa and Ferrari

He asked for marriage

We must have villa and Ferrari to get married, right?

Then I will say this

'Go away'

I learned a word

We are getting know new things

Anyway it was a really interesting music video

If we have an opportunity

Together with thankful viewers who visited this Hoontamin

We will watch various enjoyable music videos with you

[Music]

let me take this moment to

wholeheartedly congratulate each and

every one of you today you graduated you

did it you made it

congratulations to you and you did it

all by yourselves nobody helped you know

that's not just what you know that's

what I thought when I was when I was

young I starting to really make it as an

actor I came in I talked to my mother I

said ma did you think that this was

gonna happen I'd be so big and I'll be

able to take care of everybody and I

didn't do this and I can do that Naga

she said boy and stop it right there

stop it right there stop it right there

he said if you only knew how many people

that have been praying for you

how many prayer groups she put together

how many prayer cloths she gave me how

many times she splashed me with holy

water to save my sorry behind she said

it she said oh you did it by yourself I

tell you what you can do by yourself you

can go outside get a mop and a bucket

and wash them windows you can do that by

yourself

superstar so I'm saying that to say I

want to congratulate all the parents and

friends and family and aunties and

uncles and grandmothers and grandfathers

and teachers and friends and and enemies

all the people that helped you to get

where you are today congratulations to

you all

i'ma tell about two three stories I'm

gonna keep it real short

I remember my graduation speaker got up

to here went on forever blah blah blah

blah blah blah blah blah blah so I'm

gonna keep it short no one

put God first put God first in

everything you do everything that you

think you see in me everything that I've

accomplished everything that you think I

have and I have a few things everything

that I have is by the grace of God

understand that it's a gift 40 years ago

March 27 1975 it was 40 years ago

just this past March I was flunking out

of college I had a 1.7 grade point

average I hope none of you can relate at

a 1.7 grade point average I was sitting

in my mother's beauty shop they still

call a beauty shop now what they call it

yeah I'll sit in the beauty parlor I was

sitting in my mother's beauty parlor and

I'm looking in the mirror and I see

behind me this woman under the dryer and

every time she looked up she every time

I looked up she was looking at me just

look at me in the eye I don't know who

she was and I said you know she said

somebody give me a pen give me a pen so

I have a prophecy March 27 1975 she said

boy you are gonna travel the world and

speak to millions of people now my job

flunked out of college I'm thinking

about joining the army I didn't know

what I was gonna do and she's telling me

I'm gonna travel the world and speak to

millions of people

while I had traveled the world and I

have spoke to millions of people but

that's not the most important thing the

success that I had the most important

thing is that what she taught me and

what she told me that day has stayed

with me since I've been protected I've

been directed I've been corrected

I've kept God in my life and has kept me

humble I didn't always stick with him

but he always stuck with me so stick

with him in everything you do if you

think you want to do what you think I've

done then do what I've done and stick

with God number two

fail big that's right fail big today is

the beginning of the rest of your life

and it can be it can be very frightening

it's a new world out there it's a mean

world out there and you only live once

so do what you feel passionate about

passionate about take chances

professionally don't be afraid to fail

this in all IQ tests was nine dots and

you had to draw five lines with a pencil

within these nine dots without lifting

the pencil the only way to do it was to

go outside the box so don't be afraid to

go outside the box don't be afraid to

think outside the box don't be afraid to

fail big to dream big but remember

dreams without goals

are just dreams and the ultimately fuel

disappointment so have dreams but have

goals life goals yearly goals monthly

goals daily goals I try to give myself a

goal every day sometimes just to not

curse somebody out simple goals but have

goals and understand that to achieve

these goals you must apply discipline

and consistency in order to achieve your

goals you must apply discipline which

you are already done and consistency

every day not just want to Zay and miss

a few days you have to work at it every

day you have to plan every day I've

heard the saying we don't plan to fail

we fail to plan hard work works working

really hard is what successful people do

and in this text tweet twirl that you've

grown up in remember just because you're

doing a lot more doesn't mean you're

getting a lot more done remember that

just because you're doing a lot more

doesn't mean you're getting a lot more

done

don't confuse movement with progress

my mother taught me yeah yeah cuz you

can run in place all the time and never

get anywhere so continue to strive

continue to have goals continue to

French Cuffs: How, When, & Why to Wear Double Cuffed Shirts - Duration: 11:50.

Welcome back to the Gentleman's Gazette!

Today's video is all about French cuff shirts.

We're going to discuss their history and construction, how to wear them and when it's appropriate

to do so, as well as the overall discussion on this topic and our own personal thoughts.

Before we get into the specifics of French cuffs today, let's do a brief overview of

shirt cuff styles, in general.

First, button cuffs also called barrel cuffs.

They've got buttonholes on one side of the cuff and buttons on the other.

Anywhere from 1 to 3 buttons or sometimes more.

Although one to two buttons is standard just so the fit of the cuff can be adjusted.

Barrel cuffs are the everyday choice for most men.

And with a variety of button styles and cuff shapes they provide some versatile options

while still being practical.

Link cuffs have holes on both sides of the cuff and as you might imagine are meant to

be closed with links as opposed to buttons.

There are two principal types of link cuffs.

Single cuffs which are just one layer of fabric fastened together with a link are standard

for the white tie dress code and are also acceptable for black-tie if not necessarily

standard at this point in time.

You can learn more about the white tie and black tie dress codes by checking out our

related videos on the subject here.

And also by picking up our PDF guides on these dress codes in the Fort Belvedere shop here.

Double cuffs on the other hand are twice as long and are worn folded back upon themselves.

They're the standard choice these days for the black tie dress code and are also a staple

of business wear.

If you haven't guessed it yet, double cuffs are more commonly known as French cuffs and

they're the subject of today's video.

First, to round out our summary though there are also a few other kinds of cuffs such as

convertible cuffs which can be closed with either a button or a link depending on how

you'd like to wear them.

And finally, you may also sometimes see a buttoned cuff that has excess fabric that

can be turned back upon itself.

This is known as a turn back cuff, cocktail cuff or sometimes a James Bond cuff.

All right with our summary of cuff styles out of the way, let's focus in now on French

cuffs starting with the details of their construction.

As we already mentioned, French cuffs feature a length of fabric that is folded back upon

itself and then fastened together with cufflinks, There are holes on both sides of the cuff

going through all the layers of fabric.

In other words, most French cuffs will typically have four holes in total to a cuff.

Some manufacturers however will include more holes on the inner portion of the cuff for

a total of six.

This was originally done so that if there was wear or staining on the edge of a cuff

a man could adjust it in the middle of the day without having to worry about looking

at that staining.

One such manufacturer to offer these six holed French cuffs is the British retailer Charles

Tyrwhitt.

As I'm a frequent wearer of their shirts and many of them are in my closet I'll use these

adjustable cuffs on jackets that I have where the sleeves aren't quite as long.

That way the cuffs won't come out from beneath the sleeves of the jacket when I'm moving

my arms around.

Some shirt makers may also include a button on the inside of the French cuff to make things

more secure and to make inserting links a little bit easier.

This button on the inside of the cuff isn't to be confused however with a gauntlet button

which is featured on some shirts a little bit further up the sleeve.

French cuffs can come in a number of shapes as can other cuff styles.

Straight edges are most common for French cuffs but you'll also see rounded edges, angled

edges or mitered edges.

Now that you know how they're built, here's a quick digression.

Just why are they called French cuffs anyway?

To answer that question we have to touch on the history of the double cuff.

Since at least the 16th century upper-class individuals used elegant ribbons to prevent

the ruffled ends of their shirt sleeves from coming open.

This practice of adorning the wrists with some sort of decoration continued throughout

the centuries.

And by the early 19th century, when the modern style of shirt was coming into its own, the

ruffles had been replaced with cuffs that were secured with links.

As an example, Alexandre Dumas 1844 novel, The Count of Monte Cristo, features the character

of Baron Danglars, a banker who wears ornate cufflinks with his double cuffed shirts.

One apocryphal story also claims that French cuffs got their start when Napoleon ordered

extra long sleeves for the shirts of the soldiers in his armies so that they could wipe their

noses on the ends of their sleeve and then fold their cuffs back.

There isn't any historical evidence to support this theory however so it's really just more

of a fun story.

Whatever the case the term French cuff didn't really come into popular usage until the style

immigrated to America.

In other words it may just be that calling it a French cuff made it sound a little bit

more exotic and special to American consumers.

And from then on the term stuck and it's the one that's most commonly used today.

So with all that said then, what are the guidelines for wearing French cuffs on your shirts?

The traditional view on this subject is that French cuffs should really only be worn in

more formal scenarios, such as if you're wearing black tie or if you're wearing a conventional

business suit and necktie.

Some will even argue that wearing French cuffs with a blazer or sport coat is a stretch.

However as standards of everyday dress have become more relaxed over the last half century

and within the last 10 to 15 years, we've seen a resurgence in an interest in menswear.

Some of these old style rules are able to be more freely bent now.

So even though some traditionalists might give you a little bit of a questioning look,

we believe that you can definitely pull off French cuffed shirts in more casual environments

than just black tie or white collar business suits.

As just a few examples of this fashion designer Tom Ford has worn French cuffs without a tie

for a number of years now.

And here at the Gentleman's Gazette, our founder Sven Raphael Schneider, estimates that he

wears French cuffed shirts around 75% of the time.

Also I personally am a big fan of smart casual styled French cuffed shirts and almost all

of my everyday shirts have French cuffs.

I believe that wearing them with some fun cufflinks to provide a breezy vibe is a great

way to show off a little bit of personal expression without being overpowering.

In fact a typical everyday ensemble for me is a French cuff shirt worn without anything

over the top of it in addition to a pair of slacks and shoes and so on.

If you wanted to really go to the nth degree with this you could even emulate Italians

who go for the sprezzatura style of dressing.

They'll wear French cuffed shirts unfastened over the ends of their jacket sleeves.

This is a little bit of an extreme look of course but we just wanted to make you aware

that the look is out there, so French cuffs are definitely more versatile than they used

to be.

With that said, there are a few tips you can follow to make sure that no matter how you're

wearing them they still look smart.

First of all it's always a good idea to show at least a little bit of cuff at the end of

whatever you're wearing.

Be that a suit jacket, a blazer, a sport coat or even a sweater.

You could shoot for keeping a quarter to a half inch of shirt sleeve visible at all times

under these types of garments just to make sure that people know that you intentionally

wore French cuffs.

Keep in mind though, that if you're wearing something with more constricted sleeves such

as a sweater you may want to orient the cuffs a little bit differently.

Where French cuffs are usually worn in the so called kissing style with the inside portions

of both sides of the cuff together, they can also be configured more similarly to a barrel

style and this is a convenient way to do it if you're wearing something like a sweater.

And of course, there are a wide variety of different kinds of cufflinks to go with your

French cuff shirts to suit the occasion.

You should aim for a balance between your own sense of personal style and the formality

of the environment you'll be in.

There are all kinds of metal cufflinks of course, in materials like gold, silver, platinum

and so on.

And at the other end of the spectrum there are simple fabric knot styles of cufflinks

also called silk knots that are definitely more casual.

In conclusion then, to answer the question of when it's appropriate to wear French cuff

shirts?

The short and simple answer is almost whenever you want with a few key exceptions.

As we said, just make sure that the French cuffs and their accompanying cufflinks don't

overpower or dominate the outfit you're wearing.

Use a little bit of discretion and you'll have a wide variety of situations where cufflinks

and French cuff shirts are appropriate.

So what's your personal opinion of French cuff shirts and how often do you wear them?

Also if you have any other styling tips related to French cuffs be sure to let us know in

the comment section below.

And as a reminder don't forget to subscribe to the YouTube channel and hit the little

bell icon so that these kinds of videos can come straight to your inbox.

In today's video I'm wearing a French cuff shirt underneath a sweater to illustrate the

principle that some of these more casual combinations can certainly be pulled off with French cuff

shirts.

The shirt itself which is from Charles Tyrwhitt, features a grid pattern of blue and red on

a white background.

If you'd like, it could be considered a nod to the French flag.

I'm wearing a pair of casual and compact cufflinks in red and silver so that they can fit more

easily under these slightly more constrictive sleeves

of the blue gray cardigan sweater that I'm wearing.

My trousers are plain navy blue, as are my socks.

And my shoes are plain toed Brown derby that pick up some of the red tones in the shirt

and the cufflinks.

If I were layering this shirt under a garment that had a little bit more room in the sleeves,

I would probably wear the cuffs in the conventional kissing style and would choose a different

pair of cufflinks.

Take for example, platinum plated sterling silver Eagle Claw cufflinks with carnelian

as the stone which are available in the Fort Belvedere shop here, along with a wide range

of other cufflinks and accessories.

Everything It Takes to Explore Beneath Polar Ice Caps - Duration: 4:19.

These are our polar oceans,

a part of the world that is more foreign to scientists

than the moon or Mars.

But we are getting closer to discovering

more about these crucial environments

with advanced robotic technology.

Dr. Alex Forrest is at the forefront of that work.

His robots are built to access underneath ice shelves,

and to gather data for large-scale maps and models

that answer big-picture questions like,

"How is a shoreline changing after a storm?"

"How is toxic algae spreading?"

And, "how fast is polar ice really melting?"

The Nansen ice shelf is in Antarctica,

down in the Ross Sea,

and this ice shelf been an area of interest

because it's breaking up.

Basically, a piece of ice the size of Manhattan

broke off and drifted off, and it exposed,

in cross-sectional view, one of these subglacial channels

that we've been trying to get access to for a while.

We're aiming to go back there again with gliders and AUVs,

to try to understand the turbulence

and how much energy is being transported through that system.

Energy is associated with heat,

so if we understand how much heat is in that water,

we can understand how much of that heat is coming from the ocean

and how much of that is coming from the ice itself.

To get a 3D picture of an ecosystem,

Alex builds tools including Autonomous Underwater Vehicles, or AUVs

with sonar, to make bathymetric maps.

He then uses gliders to sample the water column

providing him with turbulence, temperature,

salinity, chlorophyll and oxygen data.

What a glider will do, is move oil around to displace more or less volume

to make it heavier or lighter than the water it's in.

When it reaches an inflection point, it will pump itself light and then point upwards.

The wings create a lift and start drawing it forward.

In here is a satellite phone connector, a GPS receiver, and a free wave,

or radio receiver.

So we can talk to it when it's sitting up on the surface

and tell it where to go from anywhere in the world.

All together, these chemical and environmental fluid mechanic data

create a comprehensive model of this ecosystem.

Exploring these icy frontiers is a balancing act

of keeping people and equipment safe in extreme weather and ocean conditions,

bringing back accurate data,

and preserving the very delicate ecosystem we want to study.

One of the biggest challenges underwater is that we don't have positioning.

We don't have WiFi, we can't get radio signals through, we don't have GPS...

all of these tools that we use in regular, terrestrial mapping.

You're basically guessing where you are underwater, so you need to develop navigation algorithms

if you're using an underwater vehicle.

Now, you put that on a ship, and then s@$%,

you all of a sudden are influenced by the waves.

So the waves, storms, et cetera will then modify how your data looks.

What we don't want to happen is to have our vehicle modify the fragile ecosystem that

exists at this water-ice interface.

Despite these challenges, Alex and his team continue to gather this data

as it is one of the clearest examples of how the planet's climate

is changing every day.

The polar regions are changing faster than anybody ever predicted.

It's not just a matter of large pieces of ice shelves collapsing.

What I find more intimidating is the idea that our sea ice volume

is at some of the lowest it's ever been before;

that the Arctic ocean temperatures are getting warmer

than ever before; that all of a sudden,

air temperatures are getting hotter.

So we need to know the baseline conditions of today if we're to predict how they're gonna

change and evolve in the future,

and also to understand as a global community

what we're losing.

How to STOP WASTING Money | How to Save Money Tips - Duration: 11:21.

The safe withdrawal rate, also known as the 4% rule, is a rule of thumb that many people

use in order to try and get an idea of how much money they will need to have saved when

they retire.

It's a pretty good rule of thumb in my opinion and I've covered it in more depth in previous

videos which I'll link in the description if you're interested in finding out more but

the basic idea of it is that you need to have roughly 25 times your annual expenses saved

when you retire to have a reasonable expectation of not running out of money after you leave

the workforce.

Some people want to be a little more conservative and use a 3% safe withdrawal rate and if that

works better for you because you're concerned that the 4% rule isn't conservative enough

then more power to you ultimately it's just a rule of thumb to give us an idea of how

much money we may need to have in order to live in retirement.

But some people take this concept even further and use it to not only give them an idea of

how much money they're going to need to save in order to be financially independent but

also as a tool to help them stop wasting money on recurring expenses.

Today we're going to be talking about what those people do as we cover the 300x multiplier

method.

We're also going to be looking into a similar strategy that people use to stop wasting money

on one time expenses.

Hey everyone Daniel here and welcome to Next Level Life a channel where you can learn about

Investing, debt, retirement, and many other general financial education videos because

the school's aren't going to do it for us.

So if any of those topics sound interesting to you or if you want to learn how to better

handle your money and have more financial freedom be sure to hit that subscribe button

and the bell next to my name to be notified every time I upload a video.

And if you want to further support the growth of this channel you can check out some of

the links I've left down in the description below which includes a 30-day free trial of

Audible and 2 free audiobooks of your choice as well as a list of some books on money I'd

recommend checking out with your free trial, or you can share this video with a friend,

and leave a comment below letting me know what topics you'd like me to cover in future

videos.

So the 300x multiplier method is a way that people try to help themselves control their

spending and figure out what their priorities really are all while helping to ensure that

they are saving enough money to retire either early or at the normal age.

Basically, in a nutshell, the 300 x multiplier method is where you take a budget you've already

written, this is usually used in conjunction with a zero-sum budget but you can make it

work with other budgeting methods it's just a little messier and more difficult, and analyze

all of the categories in terms of a retired persons lifestyle.

Say John takes home $36,000 a year and has the following budget categories:

Rent, Transportation, household expenses, living essentials, and lifestyle.

Transportation includes things like a loan payment that he may have on his car as well

as insurance fuel maintenance and repairs and other fees such as car tabs parking tolls

and anything else that might come up during the month.

Household expenses include your utilities, internet, cable maybe if he has it, possibly

a cell phone and other household materials.

Living essentials include the groceries clothing Personal Care items medications and stuff

like that.

Lifestyle would include any sort of vacations entertainment movies gym memberships eating

out giving would probably be there among other things.

He writes down what he spends and asks himself, "Is this item worth saving 300 times what

I spend on it so that I'm able to continue paying for it in retirement?"

John can do this with any line item on the budget whether it's his rent costs and asking

whether it's worth renting in a place that's so expensive or whether he would be happier

retiring earlier but in a less expensive place all the way down to smaller things such as

a monthly Netflix subscription.

John's monthly expenses in this hypothetical example anyway add up to about $2,500 a month.

That means that according to the 4% rule he would need to have at least $750,000 saved

by the time he decides to retire in order to have a reasonable expectation of not running

out of money.

If we assume that John's Investments make on average 8% per year over the Long haul

which is right about what the market has done historically we can get an idea of how long

it will take John to not only reach retirement but how much time each individual item is

going to cost him on his journey towards achieving Financial Independence which may help John

figure out what is and what is not worth spending the money on.

Since John is taking home $36,000 a year and spending $30,000 a year John has $6,000 per

year or $500 per month left over to invest for his retirement.

His retirement savings goal is about $750,000 assuming he's using the 4% rule as his guide.

Under these assumptions, it'll take John a little over 30 years to reach his retirement

savings goal of $750,000. and maybe he's okay with that and if so great but if he wanted

to speed up his time to reaching retirement he could do it by looking at each of the line

items in his budget and figuring out which of them survived the 300x test.

For an example on a small scale take a look at his Netflix subscription which cost him

$10 a month or $120 a year to keep.

$120 a year * 25 to figure out how much John would need to save in order to cover this

expense in retirement brings us to $3,000.

So if John canceled his Netflix subscription in retirement he would lower his retirement

savings goal from $750,000 to $747,000.

Looking back at this chart from the 30th year of John's journey to financial Independence

we see that $747,000 is not going to save him that much time as a matter of fact due

to how the compounding works it's going to save him less than a month since he jumped

from $744,000 in November of that year to $750,000 in December.

So in this particular example, John's Netflix subscription probably isn't something he's

likely to cancel because it's just not going to cost him much more time to save enough

to keep it.

However, this can change if he had a bunch of small expenses similar to Netflix that

when put together could add up to a big amount.

Maybe at that point, he would want to change his buying habits and maybe cancel a few subscriptions

but that's not the case here so he moves on to another line item.

In this case, it's his car loan which is costing him roughly $500 a month.

$500 a month is $6,000 a year and to cover a $6,000 a year expense in retirement following

the 4% rule you would need to save $150,000.

Meaning that if John could find another solution to his Transportation situation or just pay

off the debt before he retires he would lower his retirement savings goal from $750,000

to $600,000.

That's a 20% reduction in his total goal!

And in our hypothetical example, John broke the $600,000 mark in his Investments in 27

years in 6 months meaning that paying off the car loan would save him two and a half

years worth of savings for retirement.

Or give him more wiggle room in retirement if you still decided to work and save for

the full 30 years.

So that's basically the gist of this budgeting trick.

but I can hear some of you already saying I'm not going to cut out all of my expenses

only to live a life of boredom or destitution and my reply is good for you neither do I.

this trick is not meant to stop you from spending any money ever or deny yourself all forms

of Joy from spending it's just to help you frame up future purchases a little bit differently

so that you can be aware of the true cost of an item or service.

Small purchases can add up quickly especially if there's a bunch of them and large purchases

or debts can really slow down your journey to reaching Financial Independence, that doesn't

mean that no small or large purchase is worth making some of them are but we want to make

sure we're always at least consider it what we're doing before we do it.

Ultimately all of this trick is trying to do is stop you from experiencing buyer's remorse

and in my experience anyway, it does help.

So before making your next purchase or signing that next loan or joining that next subscription

service take a few seconds to figure out how much this new item will cost you per year

multiply that by 25 and ask yourself if you're willing to save that much money just to support

whatever it is you're buying.

If you are then, by all means, go forward with it but if not then don't let yourself

experience buyer's remorse.

Now, one thing that you may have noticed with the 300x trick is that while it may work well

when it comes to recurring expenses like housing, debt, subscriptions and things of that sort

it doesn't quite have the same impact on one-time expenses.

For example, let's say that Henry was thinking about buying a new laptop that costs about

$400.

A laptop is not a recurring expense, it doesn't cost him $400 a month or even $400 a year

unless he was really into computers and bought new ones that frequently.

For most of us, a laptop is more of a one-time thing.

We use it until it stops working and then we get a new computer.

But since we don't know exactly how long that computer will last us it is more difficult

to figure out the effect of the purchase using the 300x method.

So what can we do to help ensure that we don't experience buyers remorse in this situation?

We can look at these one time purchases through the lens of how many hours we would have to

work in order to pay for whatever it is that we're considering buying.

Let's say that Henry makes $15 an hour or $31,200 a year.

That laptop would cost him almost 27 hours of work to pay for, assuming we don't take

taxes into consideration.

If we did Henry would likely be looking at roughly an entire working week to pay for

that laptop.

Once taxes are taken into consideration Henry could be spending anywhere from 1.5% to 2%

of his entire after-tax income on a laptop which he may be okay with, and that's fine,

again just like the 300x trick looking at purchases through this lens isn't meant

to make us regret every purchase we've ever made or stop any future purchases we may make.

It is merely meant to get us to take a few seconds and consider our purchases more carefully

so that we don't fall victim to buyers remorse.

It's just meant to help us figure out what we consider to be truly worth the money and

what we may not consider to be worth the money so that we can stop wasting it.

Paul Menard triggers huge fiery crash involving 18 cars at NASCAR Daytona 500 - Duration: 5:37.

Nearly half of the cars running in the 61st NASCAR Daytona 500 saw an abrupt, fiery end to their first place dreams in Florida on Sunday

A massive crash took out 18 out of the 40 cars in the lineup, with just 10 laps to go in the 500-mile contest at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach

Paul Menard started the pileup by attempting a 'bump and run' around Matt DiBenedetto, in which Menard tipped the rear passenger side wheel on DiBenedetto's  number 95 car and set the massive collision in motion

'I'll take the blame for that one,' Menard said, regarding the large-scale wreck in which no one was injured

Any wreck that involves five or more cars is called 'The Big One,' in NASCAR vernacular, and this one more than qualified

Aerial video shows the moments leading up to the crash, with Menard's number 21 Ford Mustang pressed right up against the rear bumper of DiBenedetto's car

He's attempting a move called a 'bump and run' or a 'bump drive,' according to Fox NASCAR announcers, which goes terribly wrong for everyone involved

In a 'bump and run,' the driver tailing a leading car taps the back of the leading car in hopes of gaining the advantage and passing into the leader position, themself

An announcer for Fox Nascar described the action, saying 'Paul Menard giving a pretty nice push down the back straight-away to DiBenedetto, get to his right rear

That just starts to turn him a little bit.' 'Yep, got him in the right rear,' another announcer said

A third voice added: 'And then he collects Menard.Logano just misses it but the whole outside lane and half the inside pile up

' The 'bump and run' is controversial but common, with an entire page on the NASCAR website devoted to 'NASCAR's most memorable bump-and-run moments

' The move often results in mixed reactions from NASCAR fans, with some saying whatever it takes to win is perfectly fine

Others say that if you can't pass someone by being fast, you don't deserve a trophy, and especially not if a wreck results from purposefully making contact with another driver's car

The first announcer explained what was likely going through Menard's mind when he chose to make contact with the 95 car

'At this stage in the race you can start to taste victory in the Daytona 500,' he said

'You want to see that checkered flag and you'll do anything to get it, and you know you've gotta be more aggressive with those bump drives

' Menard basically acknowledged that line of thinking, telling Fox, 'It was go time, and I was pushing the 95 [car] and it looked like he was trying to get to the middle and I started trying to get to the outside and just barely hooked him

Yeah, that was my bad.I wrecked a lot of cars.I feel bad about that.' As DiBenedetto spiraled out of control between the third and fourth turns, he took out every vehicle in his path

Among those who had their race ended early were defending Daytona 500 champion Austin Dillon (#3), Chase Elliott (#9), Ryan Blaney (#12), Aric Almirola (#10) and Daniel Suarez (#41)

The race was paused while the wreckage was cleaned up.Denny Hamlin, driving the number 11 car, went on to win the race

I Was Arrested as a Teenager? | Jay Lippman Vlog - Duration: 6:57.

I was with a guy who had some illicit substances on him. I was... I had obviously

and admittedly partook in those illicit substances, and so they charged me with

constructed possession which...

If you're new here my name is Jay. I typically make videos about making

videos, so if you're into things like editing tutorials, and gear reviews, and

the occasional vlog, please make sure to subscribe to my channel, hit that bell so

you can get notified whenever I upload a new video. Every once in a while I go off

the beaten path, like today, and do something completely random. It's

currently Saturday. It's Saturday, I have a video that needs to come out Monday

and I haven't filmed anything. This is that video. I did have something recorded

its planned, and that video is still coming out it just got pushed back a week. The

person who I'm collabing with is out of town, I wanted to give her a chance to be

able to promote her own video, so you know, we're, we're adjusting. But I

honestly had no idea what I was gonna do for this video. I really didn't. I, I had

nothing planned. I thought maybe I'd do a Q&A so I put some feelers out there,

nobody asked any questions which is, you know, whatever, and then a couple days ago

Carin Somers, who's an amazing creator from the Netherlands, I'll link her

channel below. She tagged me in this challenge that I'm supposed to list ten

random facts that people may not know about me. So I figured well I'm short on

time, that's an easy video to to film and edit and why not? Also I decided to change

the setting a little bit. I was getting tired of filming at my desk, so we're on

the couch right now. I guess I didn't need to tell you that I'm on the couch.

you can see that I'm on the couch. why did I tell you I'm on the couch? Random

fact number one I'm not originally from Baltimore. I'm actually from Charlotte

North Carolina. My family moved us to Maryland when I was about six months old.

We moved to Wheaton Maryland which is just outside of DC and I grew up in

Montgomery County. I didn't actually move to the Baltimore area until I was 21,

which, knowing that, hearing that, some people may be like well you...

how are you so passionate about Baltimore? And it's because this is the

first area I've lived where I actually felt like I belonged here.

Random fact number two, I come from a huge family. Like I come from a huge

family. Both my parents are remarried, in total I have 13 siblings, I'm dead smack

in the middle of all of them. Broken down it

comes out to one full-blood sibling, my sister. I have three half siblings

I have four step siblings and then five of my siblings are married bringing in

five more in-laws. So Christmas gets interesting. Actually

bonus, bonus fact we don't actually all exchange gifts at Christmas. What we do

is a Secret Santa so we don't have to you know, lose our life savings every

year. Bonus fact number three, I talk a lot about how I'm a guitar player and a

drummer and a bass player piano player singer and all that. What I don't talk

about is, the first instrument I ever played was the clarinet. I started in

fourth grade I believe. And I played fourth grade fifth grade sixth grade.

Seventh grade I actually moved to bass clarinet. That's also about the time I

started not caring about the clarinet because I was learning guitar. Random

fact number four, I spent my entire sophomore year and half of my junior

year in various boarding schools and behavior modification programs. I went to

a school in Massachusetts, I went to a place in Montana, and I went to another

school in North Carolina before finally returning home the second half of my

junior year and graduating from a tiny little private school with a graduating

class of a whopping ten students Random fact number five, the reason why I went

to all those boarding schools is because my very first run-in with the law was

when I was 14 years old and I got arrested in my high school. I was with a

guy who had some illicit substances on him. I was, I had obviously an admittedly

partook in those illicit substances and so they charged me with constructed

possession, which from what I gathered meant that I didn't have anything on me

when they found me but because of my state of sobriety or lack thereof I had

to have had it in my possession at some point. So I got arrested but the cop was

really cool he let me sit in the front seat and listen to any radio station I

wanted. It was actually a pretty enjoyable experience. Random fact number

six, I've been engaged twice but never married. And I'm not engaged to Arian. This was

two previous engagements that just never never got to the finish line. Bonus fact

number two, one of those engagements was broken off the day before our two-year

anniversary. We actually broke up during the conversation about where we should

go to dinner for our anniversary. Super fun. Random fact number seven my favorite

song growing up was Cheeseburger in Paradise by Jimmy Buffett. Don't judge me.

Random fact number eight, my very first job ever was at a little toy store

called Imaginarium. It got bought out by Toys R Us, it was then a little section, a

full blown, like, section inside of Toys R Us.Then it just became a scattering of

products around Toys R Us and now, and now I think it's just gone. But I got

that job when I was 17 I think. I made minimum wage and I loved every second of

it. To this day it is the best job I've ever had.

Random fact number nine, I have owned four cars in my life. That's not the

random fact. The random fact is that the first car was a 1992 Geo Metro. I bought

it in August, it had a cracked radiator and you had to blast the heat in order to

keep it from overheating which is super-fun in this area in the middle of

summer. And random fact number 10 even though I talk a lot about how I make

videos and how I play music, I've had a whole bunch of other hobbies in my life,

namely dancing. Yeah I was a dancer. It was part of the whole boarding school

experience. Just DM me if you want to... it's a whole thing. So those are 10

random facts about me. I hope they helped you get to know me a little bit better. I

hope they helped, yeah that made sense. I think I'm supposed to tag people and

challenge people now to keep this thing going. I'm gonna go with Michael T

Panetta, Michael Feyrer Jr. and

Burke Cullinane. So liked this video if you enjoyed it, share it if you think your

friends will enjoy it, and don't forget to subscribe and hit that bell if you

haven't done so already. I will be back... when will I be back? I'll be back

Wednesday for the livestream, but until then thanks for hanging out guys.

I will talk to you later. See ya

Natural Birth Must Haves | Natural Birth Preparation - Duration: 14:24.

hey guys it's Danielle with Danielle gets it done and these are my natural

pregnancy must-haves

the morning singing I saw okay so I have just kind of always been a little bit on

the crunchy side so I like to do things naturally and pregnancy is no exception

however I'm not judgmental about it and I'm not perfect I'm on antidepressants

that's not very crunchy but I think it's important for me I even have a diet coke

once in a while but I do like to keep things natural when possible and I

actually am going for an intervention free birth I don't know if I've ever

really announced that on my channel but that is what I would like I had a

c-section with my first which was unplanned I actually transferred during

labor to a hospital to have the surgery and I'm trying for a vaginal birth with

this one and you can totally have a VBAC a vaginal birth after cesarean with an

epidural and with interventions that's totally possible but you do have a

little better chance if you stay away from that and so that is my goal however

if I need that epidural more power to me I'm not gonna feel bad about it so just

wanted to get that out there really quick and I have a few categories of

books and products that have been helpful to me and my pregnancy so I will

start with the books the first is an oldie but a goodie it is written by

Peggy Simkin who is like a famous Midwife oh my word and the book that

I've read is called pregnancy childbirth and the newborn it's a really extensive

large book and I've read it a couple times I've always been into birth and

pregnancy even before I wanted kids like I literally read this before I was

pregnant so I'm just interested in this stuff and what I really appreciate about

this book is it's very it has a lot of information and while she's a midwife

and she's definitely more on the natural side she's so not judgmental about it

and I have to say I think that the natural birth community is amazing but I

think that there is a lot of judgment on to woman on to women who choose an

epidural or a medicated birth and I really think that is an ugly place to be

I think women should do what they want to do when we should not judge each

other and so while she is more naturally inclined she gives the pros and cons of

everything you can do like an epidural will take your pain away and she talks

about all the amazing things that we'll do and some of the downfalls and so I

just feel like it's a really good balanced look on choices in pregnancy

and she talks about a little she has a couple chapters about breastfeeding and

what did you after the baby is born I also think that is kind of an issue we

have at least in America we talked so much about pregnancy and support the

women through pregnancy but then they have this baby and kind of no one really

cares anymore so that I couldn't recommend that book enough my second

book is the mama natural week-by-week guide to pregnancy and childbirth

she Genevieve Harland Genevieve Holland has a really popular YouTube channel

it's called mama natural I will link her below but anyways this is a week-by-week

guide and focuses on natural things it is really extensive there are a lot

of pretty graphics and checklists and recipes and all the crunchy things are

in here it talks a lot about placenta encapsulation which I am doing as well I

think I'm going to do a whole video about my decision to basically eat my

placenta yes I am doing it just really quick this is more to do after the

baby's being born but if you are planning on breastfeeding my favorite

book I just finished it for the second time is called breastfeeding made simple

seven natural laws for nursing there's there's a lot of information a

lot of troubleshooting things to try and I learned a lot I think that bottle

feeding and formula feeding which again I do not think is evil but that has been

the norm for the last generation at least and so we kind of emulate those

things like feed it for this amount of time or this amount of time between

feedings duration or even holding like this is more like a bottle feeding

position and it's great once your baby learns to latch but she talks about a

more laid-back approach for a newborn because they're learning to or they're

not strong enough and they've never breastfed before and so actually laying

back and relaxing and having your baby on top of you helps gravity work with

your baby and with your milk and I don't know there's just like a lot of

troubleshooting and just talking about really trusting your body and your baby

to you know and every baby is gonna be different and some will feed every hour

around the clock for the first part of its life and some will not because

they'll be getting more milk than the other babies at the head of feeding and

so I really recommend that book and with that said many issues do come up and she

kind of troubleshoots those issues with you okay some fun

products I guess one is red leaf raspberry tea I buy this in bulk on

Amazon I think I get six boxes in a package and I love this stuff so what

this is supposed to do it is known as a uterine tonic and it's supposed to kind

of strengthen your uterus while you drink it which is amazing and it is said

that it can make labor more efficient and

more speedy which I would love my first Labor's 50 hours so and I really like it

so what is there to lose there are some studies talking about this but they're

not really large enough for us to glean anything from them so it's kind of

anecdotal studies at this point but what I've done is I started in my second

trimester talk to your doctor and midwife because there are kind of

differing views of when you should start drinking this tea some say you shouldn't

drink it too early so I started with one cup a day and then I moved to two and

now that I'm in my third trimester I have three cups a day and I think pretty

soon like 37 weeks you can just kind of go for it a bit time so I love it it is

caffeine free but it tastes like a black tea so it's kind of like a trick to my

mind and yeah you should definitely check this out and then the second thing

are dates oh my gosh I love dates so much use

again are supposed to ease labor and again there aren't a lot of like great

scientific studies so it's kind of do what you want to do but I love dates and

one of the things that's argued which I'm obsessed with is that it will help

your water to not break too early and my first labor started with my water

breaking and it was a long labor I ended up getting an infection because it was

broken for so long and my labor was so long so like whatever I can do to

strengthen my bag of waters I am here for so they say I buy a large ones and

they say around 36 weeks you can have three of these a day and it's not that

you shouldn't before that because you might like induce labor I think it's

more that dates have a lot of sugar natural sugar but still sugar and so if

you would be eating them in excess throughout your pregnancy that might not

be good for your diet you know especially if you have gestational

diabetes or maybe it could even bring on gestational diabetes I'm like 35 weeks

now so I'm ready I am ready for you okay one more category so I am doing hip no

babies for this birth I'm doing a home-study hip no babies really quick is

some medicate medication kind of meditation tracks that you listen to

daily to hypnotize yourself for when you're in labor so that your labor can

be a little more comfortable and hopefully easy and it's been six and a

half years since I was in labor but I do remember like the more I would fight the

contractions the worse it got and so it's just really teaching you to relax

your body and to kind of just let the contractions happen and that will be way

more comfortable than kind of tensing up and fighting them it also comes with a

whole education series so there's I think it's a six weeks program where you

log in online and learn a bunch of stuff read a bunch of stuff there are quizzes

and then along with that are these tapes or tracks that you listen to daily to

and get ready and I really really have been liking it and I think I've gotten

better at relaxing and meditating and actually my son listens with me at

bedtime it's kind of been a bonding experience for us I am a little worried

that he's gonna think he is a cervix it's mainly just about relaxing but

obviously they do talk about being pregnant sometimes and like your cervix

opening so I should probably have a talk to him about that but anyways it's been

helpful and I plan to try to use it during labor and I think even if you're

going for an epidural you may want to look into this I do have a link below

and um because even if you want an epidural

you you know you're not gonna get one right away and so it's just tools to

help you relax when labor starts at home and when you're on the way to the

hospital and before you can get that epidural or maybe you want an epidural

but want to hold off for as long as possible it just really gives great

tools then the last thing I'm going to talk about is spinning babies I am such

a fan I actually met the founder Gail Tully she is from Minnesota and her

whole thing is the position of the baby matters greatly it is not just about

head down but ideally the baby should be head down facing the back and if it's

sideways the back should be to the left side which I don't quite understand why

the left side is superior to the right side but I trust her so she has a online

video that I have purchased showing daily moves to do to balance your body

and balance your ligaments in order to kind of make room for the babies so that

he or she can hopefully be in the best position possible and that is really

gonna help labor be both more easy and faster so my first was sunny-side up

and on the right side and it was a very long labor i stalled a lot and it ended

up with a c-section and so this time I'm like doing everything I can

including chiropractic care I should have mentioned that as well I go to the

chiropractor once a week and now I'm going twice a week and I think these

spinning baby's exercises really helped I had been getting some contractions in

the last couple weeks I actually had to go in and get checked because I was

nervous I was in labor and my cervix is fine so they aren't affecting my cervix

and I noticed that when I do the spinning baby's moves it really helps

for the contractions to go down so my theory is that this baby might not be in

the best position right now and the contractions or cramps are trying to

move the baby and me doing the spinning babies is also helping to move the baby

and easing in that pain so we will see how it all works out but check out her

website I think my little video was maybe 20 dollars but she has a lot of

free resources as well and just is a wealth of information oh my goodness

I feel so self-conscious when I make long videos but that is everything I

hope you enjoyed leave a comment below with what your favorite kind of natural

crunchy pregnancy must-haves are and again if you are new to my channel I'd

love to have you stick around and hit that subscribe button I hope you have a

wonderful day and whatever your plans are I hope you get them done bye guys

you

Bohemian Rhapsody DVD reveals scene Rami Malek and cast "weren't happy" about - Duration: 2:22.

Bohemian Rhapsody may have gone on to storm the box office and clean up at the awards, but that doesn't mean there weren't a few hiccups along the way

The four leads didn't agree with every decision though, or rather there were some they were unsure about

In the Queen biopic's DVD release we get to hear from Queen legends Brian May and Roger Taylor in one of the extra features

"They were not happy," they said. But what are they talking about? The Live Aid scene, the Express reports

The film includes a long set piece showing the four performing song after song. The team built a replica of Wembley's stage for the scene, which was the first thing they filmed

"Starting the production with Live Aid was madness. It was such a full -on thing starting at the deep end

" King said. "They were not happy that Live Aid was the first week of shooting because they wanted to get their feet wet and build to it

"Due to weather in the UK, we wanted to get Live Aid done. So when they embraced it and accepted that I wasn't going to change the schedule, then it became 'Let's celebrate it

Let's use Live Aid as a way to celebrate Freddie's life and the music.'" May praised the cast: "They plunged in at the deep end that was like the pinnacle performance they had to pull off right at the beginning at the start of shooting

Which is tough but they had it down." You also see May reassuring Rami Malek on set saying it was "amazing" while Taylor says they were "delighted"

Rami Malek said on the BAFTA red carpet that the experience was a baptism of fire that brought the four together

Bohemian Rhapsody is out now on digital and download, and on DVD and Blu-ray on March 3

8 ways Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle stay fit - Duration: 5:13.

The Duchess of Cambridge and the Duchess of Sussex may lead busy lives, but that doesn't mean the royals don't know how to unwind. The pair get photographed on a day-to-day basis, looking relatively slim and healthy. Kate surprised royal watchers when she quickly snapped back into shape after the births of all three children - Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. But just what does Kate eat on a daily basis to maintain her slim figure? Meanwhile, Meghan - who is pregnant with her first child - is radiating a gorgeous glow, and looking more content than ever. And since now's the time to focus on wellness, here at HELLO! we have decided to see how our favourite royals stay fit and healthy.

Meghan is clearly used to having all eyes on her on a daily basis, but in order for her to keep a healthy mind-set, the LA native turns to yoga. "It's sort of my thing – as much for my head as for my body," she previously told Women's Health when asked about her love of exercise. "My health, my state of mind, the feeling you have after a workout: all of these things drive me to step onto my mat or go to the gym." It doesn't come as a surprise since Meghan's mother, Doria Ragland, is a yoga instructor. "There are so many benefits that come with the practice of yoga," she shared with Best Health. "Increased flexibility and muscle strength, greater happiness, increased mental focus, a greater ability to relax, decreased anxiety and better sleep."

Meghan is also a fan of Pilates Platinum, a machine-based work-out she says is "hands-down the best thing you could do for your body." Devised by fitness guru Sebastian Lagree, whose fans include Jennifer Aniston and Sofia Vergara, the method uses a system of sliding discs, pulleys and resistance bands on a Megaformer machine to build core strength and flexibility and burn up to 700 calories in one hour. "It's the instant way to get your body aligned and looking toned," she has sai

Kate was rumoured to have followed the Dukan Diet in the lead-up to her wedding day in 2011, a diet that focuses on cutting carbs and focusing on lean protein and vegetables. The plan starts with the 'attack' phase, where dieters eat only meat, fish, eggs and fat-free or low-fat dairy products, before moving into the 'cruise' stage, where salads and vegetables are introduced back into the diet.

Kate may be a meat-eater, but she often chooses vegetarian dishes, and stuck to meat-free options during her royal tour of India in 2016. Taj Mahal Palace chef, Raghu Deora, revealed that Prince William and Kate particularly enjoy vegetarian food, saying: "It is all vegetarian because I was told that was what they preferred."

Former actress Meghan is known to enjoy meditating. "Running has always been my form of moving meditation, which I relish because it allows me to get out of my head." Meghan also revealed that she worked with personal trainer Craig McNamee while filming Suits in Toronto.

Meghan typically tries to avoid caffeine in the afternoons, instead opting for a green juice to get an energy boost. Speaking to Today, she explained: "It's easy to fall into the trap of rushing for a coffee when you hit that 4pm slump, but if I blend some apple, kale, spinach, lemon, and ginger in my Vitamix in the morning and bring it to work, I always find that sipping on that is a much better boost than a cup of espresso."

Although she can't eat it during her pregnancy, Meghan does sushi, and previously said it was an essential part of her diet. Two of her favourite spots in Los Angeles are said to include Sugarfish and Sushi Park, but it's not yet known if she's found a go-to sushi restaurant in her new hometown of London. Meanwhile, Prince William revealed he and Kate were big sushi fans during a visit to Japan House London, where he met Japanese chef Akira in September 2018. "Very impressive," the royal said as he tucked into some salmon sashimi. "Thank you very much. My wife and I love sushi. We might have to come down here for lunch when no one else is in."

ate is incredibly sporty, and often speaks out about her love of keeping fit, with tennis and running among her hobbies. In 2017, she took part in a 100-metre sprint with Prince William and Prince Harry during a training day for runners taking part in the marathon, and was also there to cheer on the participants on the day itself. Meghan also loves to run, although opportunities for jogging along the pavement in public are limited when she's at Kensington Palace.
