Hi Friends, my name is Emrah Yucel, Calligraphy Artist

Today

I will

demonstrate

an example

of Turkish Dervish Sufi

Calligraphy

on Copperplate

This video is made

for Calligraphy Masters

Hope it will

be usefull.

For this video I used

black Archers paper

220 grams

I will use waterbased paint with oblique pencil

and

Leonard principal nib

I've already marked the outlines

as you can see.

Just to make this video a bit shorter.

Let's begin.

I use the the brush to put my ink (gouache)

I will not be able to talk much during drawing

My dear friend Mien will place a nice background music during the silent times

*I've decided to put no music, because I thought the sound of the nib is good enough to listen while watching.

Now basically just warming up for the copperplate drawing

Turning the paper with the drawing

High and wide actions going on here

The dervish' dress is

slowly starting to take shape

Have to be careful with my pinky

to make sure I don't touch the paint

For artists working with copperplate

it's a well known issue for the

paint to finish at random

Drawing the last part of the dress

Hurricane Jose Spaghetti Models Update: Where Is the Path?

National Hurricane Center Hurricane Jose. With Florida and Texas still picking up the pieces from Hurricanes Irma and Harvey, unfortunately, there is a new hurricane looming.

Its name is Hurricane Jose (although, technically, it was Tropical Storm Jose on September 15. An Air Force plane was "en route to determine if Jose is a hurricane again," The National Hurricane Center wrote.).

As of September 15, where was Hurricane/Tropical Storm Jose headed?.

The latest spaghetti models of the storm show its current projected path. It's possible the storm will not make landfall but will still affect parts of the east coast, or it might "brush" the coast.

 The Morning Call reported: "Some model forecasts show it could brush the East Coast next week, triggering high seas and coastal flooding…The long range guidance then continues to keep Jose offshore of the Mid-Atlantic region as it lifts northward into Wednesday.

However, some models have shifted farther west with their tracks and its now believed we will see some impacts from this system late Monday night and early Tuesday into late Tuesday night and early Wednesday.

The NWS wrote: "At 1100 AM AST (1500 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Jose was located near latitude 26.5 North, longitude 69.4 West. Jose is moving toward the northwest near 9 mph (15 km/h).

This general motion is expected today, follow by a turn to the north-northwest by late Saturday and toward the north on Sunday.

Maximum sustained winds remain near 70 mph (110 km/h) with higher gusts. Some strengthening is forecast during the next 48 hours.

An Force Reserve Hurricane Hunter aircraft is currently en route to obtain a better wind speed estimate. Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 140 miles (220 km) from the center. The estimated minimum central pressure is 989 mb (29.21 inches).

HAZARDS AFFECTING LAND———————-SURF: Swells generated by Jose are affecting Bermuda, the Bahamas, the northern coasts of Hispaniola and Puerto Rico, and the southeast coast of the United States, and will spread northward along the Mid-Atlantic coast of the U.S.

during the next few days. These swells are likely to cause life-threatening surf and rip current conditions.

BREAKING: FBI Gives Hillary Horrific News | Top Stories Today - Duration: 3:14.

Former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton might have hoped to slide away into obscurity

after her defeat at the hands of Trump, but it seems that no matter what, her history

of wrongdoings are coming back to haunt her.

Despite desperately trying to argue that there was "no public interest" in releasing

her emails, the FBI has reversed its decision, releasing Clinton's emails, and in turn

exposing her corruption to the world, according to The Washington Times.

After weeks of saying, stunningly enough, that there wasn't enough "public interest"

in Hillary Clinton's email case to warrant releasing more of her emails, the bureau has

changed its mind and is planning to release more details concerning the obstruction of

justice probe into Clinton's actions.

Ty Clevenger, an attorney in New York City, first filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA)

request in March asking for a number of documents from the FBI, as well as correspondence exchanged

with Congress regarding the Clinton email investigation.

He attempted to obtain information that might prove her guilty of perjury, and since she

lost the election and was no longer in power, he figured the request wouldn't be too difficult

to make.

However, they turned down his request, saying that the Bureau has "determined you have

not sufficiently demonstrated that the public's interest in disclosure outweighs personal

privacy interests of the subject."

"They're saying the public doesn't care.

The FBI is trying to cover its own rear end.

I think they know this thing is going to look terrible for them.

They deep-sixed this, they white-washed it and they don't want the documents coming

out just showing how badly they covered it up," said Clevenger in an interview with

Tucker Carlson.

He even said in another interview with The Washington Times that, "it looks like the

Obama administration is still running the FBI."

Despite his initial setback, the New York lawyer appealed to the Justice Department,

which said they were "modifying" the FBI's response.

After speaking with Clevenger, Justice Department official Sean R. O'Neill said that they

concluded the records are indeed part of the Clinton investigation file and are making

those documents public in installments.

"The FBI will continue to process and post subsequent releases of responsive records

until processing of the entire investigative file is complete," O'Neill stated.

This wasn't the only victory Clevenger achieved.

Earlier this week, he won a ruling from a state judge in Maryland who ordered an investigation

into whether or not Mrs. Clinton's lawyers should face discipline for how they handled

her emails.

These same lawyers have been accused of engaging in the destruction of evidence, as they deleted

emails that the government later determined were official records that should have been

returned to the State Department.

"If an average lawyer destroyed 30,000 pieces of evidence he would have been disbarred and

prosecuted," Clevenger said in his Fox News interview prior to this announcement.

As more details regarding the Comey-Clinton private email server cover-up continue to

be revealed, it seems ever more likely that Clevenger will get the information he's

been seeking.

Welcome back to another lesson here at ForB's English.

I'm Gabriella and in today's lesson you're guessing the meaning of a new expression.

The expression is "chock-a-block", but what does it mean?

Let's take a look at some sample conversations using the expression "chock-a-block".

Sample conversation one: Person A says, "You're late!"

Person B says, "I know.

I'm so sorry.

The traffic was chock-a-block this morning."

Sample conversation two: Person A says, "How was your shopping trip?"

Person B says, "The sales were good, but the city center was chock-a-block."

So what does "chock-a-block" actually mean?

Well, it means "full of people or things".

So in sample conversation one, it's cars in this case,

so "traffic" meaning there were many cars on the road and that's why person A was late.

In sample conversation two it was a shopping situation and there were many people in the city center

so in that case, you could replace the phrase "chock-a-block" with "many people" in that case;

but the main explanation for this is "things or people"

and in "things" it's usually vehicles; usually cars in the city for example.

So those are some typical examples of the expression "chock-a-block".

Let's practice this phrase together, so please repeat after me.

worthy that's the key that's the word right there that's the key if we're

right now till you believe that you're worthy

all these little things are going to be blocked all these little things are

blocking you from being able to have it believe it you deserve it that you're

worthy now so I'm talking about in the mornings the other video I was talking

about telling yourself that you're awesome saying thank yous another video

that I got when I say thank yous all the time you gotta say thank yous but then

you gotta start to believe that you're worth it

that you're supposed to have it that is meant for you but you deserve it once

you believe that you're worthy then you can really start to manifest that's what

manifestation really starts to kick some butt and you start to really build up

with the things in your life that you believe that you're worthy of having it

gotta believe that you're worthy there's only one way so that's what I want to

I'm Gabriela Azevedo, I love researching

and I intend to bring here themes related to

archaeology and odd contents

because I love some weird stuff!

POO!

I'm five years old, I don't have the necessary maturity to say 'poo' without smiling.

It's too magical!

But wait!

I promise I can explain! Stay with me!

Organic materials are essential to study eating habits and the lifestyle of those who, in some cases, lived many years before us,

and not necessarily human beings, animals as well.

Paleontology, for example, studies the poop of the dinosaurs, the coprolite.

COPROLITE.

For archeology, it is no different,

As an example, the amount of feces found next to pieces of porcelain inside a latrine,

where once was the bathroom of the Danish bishop Jens Bircherod,

who like us all, mortals of today or of the past, rich or poor, defecated.

In 1937, archaeologists excavated the bishop's property area, which lived between the 15th and 16th centuries,

in downtown Aalborg, Denmark, as the properties of that region would be demolished to give way to a square.

The sample was taken to Moesgaard Museum and was forgotten for almost 80 years.

and when finally rescued from inside a broken and analysed bottle,

it was possible to concluded that it belonged ... or came out of ... the bishop, or his wife,

because the author of the s***t followed a diet typical of the upper classes at the time.

Seeds, nuts, berries, figs, grapes and pepper

while his employees consumed a diet based on pork, rye bread, cabbage and gruel.

What was ingested by the couple, elaborated with the expensive ingredients

was even registered in a diary in which the bishop reported the luxurious banquets offered in his house.

This study may seem peculiar, but it is part of a much larger project,

which involves professionals from archeology, history and science,

to understand the intense waves of immigration that Denmark suffered between the 15th and 17th centuries

and the interaction between Danes and foreigners, after all, interactions between different cultures

can affect many aspects of people's lives on a daily basis

including eating habits, as immigrants brought to Denmark certain new foods.

Jakob Ørnbjerg researcher of Aarhus University told Danish TV, The Local that the research is "making history through the back door".

Quote: "This little piece of s***t is a little piece in the story of our shared history and how Denmark became what it became".

The museum said it will eventually put the sample on display, so it will be possible to see the s***t live.

Further proof that archaeological sites are not restricted to tombs

is the case of an excavation conducted in 2014 in Philadelphia,

in an archaeological site that became the address of the American Revolution Museum.

Archaeologists from the Commonwealth Group, which is a North American cultural resource management company

thrilled when they found 12 wells, dug in 1776, the year that American settlers declared US independence

and were retired in 1786, one year before the Constitution was written.

These wells served as bin and latrine. And there's more!

The latrines had been installed in the area of a house not far from where the American Constitution was read for the first time,

Looking from the street, the house was a tavern,

but functioned illegally as a brothel and received among the clients, independence supporters

who used the place to discuss politics, of course! And whose poo probably helped to protect the artifacts.

It was also during the eighteenth century that Philadelphia became an important commercial and industrial pole.

In this way, many imported products arrived at the port daily.

And then, what happened?

When, for example, Chinese porcelain or a German jug was broken at the arrival of the ship, where were they thrown?

Exactly!

In one of those 12 latrines. Staying there for 300 years until archaeologists find it.

The most curious thing is that all the artifacts found between barrels, bottles, jars, goblets, porcelains, and wig combs,

were preserved thanks to the wonderful natural preservative that occupied the whole latrines

formed by dirt, trash, urine, and of course, the video star, poo.

See how something talking about so much, and causes so much revulsion, can be fundamental

to find out more about our ancestors?
