Pouille continues to impress, reaches fourth round - US Open 2017

Lucas Pouilles more flamboyant and established compatriots Gael Monfils and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga have historically carried the French flag to tennis glory for many years. But, now it might be Pouilles turn to do some of the heavy lifting in carrying the Tricolore.

16 seed rolled into US Open fourth round for the second consecutive year with a workman like 2-6, 6-3, 6-4, 6-4 victory over Kazakhstan qualifier Mikhail Kukushkin on Friday on a sun-splashed Court 17.

This was a rematch from last years opening round won by Pouille and almost an exact replay. Both matches went four sets. Kukushkin won the first set last year. There were 37 games in this years match, last year there were 35.

Pouilles breakout year came in 2016 and featured two Grand Slam quarterfinals - the Australian and US Opens.

During the year he notched wins over top players Juan Martin del Potro and Bernard Tomic, but by far the highlight of the year was his five-set upset of Rafael Nadal in the fourth round here at Flushing Meadows.

The 23-year-old Frenchman has quietly put together another strong season with two tour wins, a runner-up, two semifinals, a third-round result at Roland Garros and a starring role in his countrys quarterfinal Davis Cup win over Great Britain.

Pouille has as a sturdy game with no glaring weakness. The score sheet reflected that with 39 winners and 33 unforced errors.

He had nine aces, got in only 54 percent of his first serves but did win 72 percent of his first serve points.

Except for the opening set when Kukushkin broke serve twice, there was just one service break in the next three sets.

WHAT IT MEANS: Pouille is the highest remaining seed in the wide open bottom quarter that was expected to be anchored by world No. 2 Andy Murray before the Englishman pulled out with an injury.

5 Marian Cilic, the 2014 US Open champion, was on paper expected to be Pouilles next opponent but he was upset earlier in the day by No. 29 Diego Schwartzman of Argentina.

MATCH POINT: With a possible favorable path ahead of him, can Pouille make his first Grand Slam semifinal?.

How I used to do my makeup, before vs now!

Hi guys, welcome back to the channel , todays video is going to be a "how i used to do my makeup"

i'm going to be doing in half of my face how used to do it, and on the other half how i do it now

its been a while since i did my make up the way i used to do it before, but sometimes i think about it

like, the way i used to do it, the colors i used to use, my techniques and i feel ... ashamed

right now i already have my skin cleaned and ready for makeup, something that before i would never do but ok

so lets start!

So, nowadays the first thing i do before putting make on is clean my face and moisturize it , and then i apply

primmer, and i'm using the NYX pore filler primer, and i'm going to apply it only on this side of my face

after the primer, i go with my foundation, and the one i am using is the maybelline fit me matt and poreless

in the color 112, and i apply it with a Real Technics brush , and it its my favorite one

then to make it all smoth i use this sponge. Usually i just deep it in water, but right now i will be using this thermal water, because its what i got on had right now

i like to go over with the sponge because the sponge gives a super natural look to the skin,

i also like to go over with a second coat of foundation on the problem areas, because 1 sometimes is not enough

now this side already has the foundation on, and now i am going to apply the foundation on the other side like i used to do it

i would always use a foundation that had a pink undertone, was not my undertone lol

and it was always a bit darker than my own skin, so i got this bb cream from nivia, because its the closest thing i have to that

and i used to apply it like this, with my hands,

omg... what i am doing..

like, you probably cant see it properly on the camera, but its look awful

i'm not even going to spread it properly , because i know at the time i wouldn't do it lol

sometimes i would even cry applying this because it looked so bad

sometimes it would go to the eyebrows and i would just left it there

using the slap Technique to see if it makes it better,

gurl, look at this lineeeeeeeeee

but yea, i would always leave a line on my neck, because i didn't knew better lol

now lets use some concealer

this areas here i use concealer only when i see they are not well covered, and today they weren't sooo that's why

i also like to add some light in this area here

i usually do this in both sides, but of course today i had to do only in one side

and then i just buff away with my sponge

before, i would never use concealer, i would just take my crappy foundation and slap it on my eye area lol

if i had any pimple, i would also apply on it lol

and that was it, what really matters, is that i would look good from far away... when close, yea it was a problem

nowadays i always use a translucide powder to set everything,

before, i would never use it, or i would just use baby, but today i will not use anything.

and yea, baby powder works, but you should't use it everyday because it can damage you skin,

like, you can get acne, and i used to have acne, and maybe it was because of that

on the "now" side, i am going to contour now, and i use a powder one,

I do kind of a line here,

a bit here too

to give a bit more of dimension

bit on the nose too

and then i like to use my loose powder brush and just buff everything to look more natural

before, i would never contour my face, and to be honest i used to be chubby

i had huge cheeks lol yea.. and still i wouldn't contour

For blush, nowadays i use a mix of colors, like this too, because i feel like it gives more of a natural look

before... thats what i wouldn't do. I would only use one color, i'm going to use this one, but i used to use

a red one, like a bloody red one. And it would look awful, but i dont even have it anymore,

and when i applied it, i would apply it like this

like... way tooooo much, and too low

and that was it, another thing that i use nowadays and that before i would never use is highlighter

the one i i am using right now is the W7 one, GlowcoMotion,

and it is beautiful, i love it

i apply i here, but a thing that i always do is use this brush, thats actually a sponge lol

so i apply it in these areas, a little bit more here, so i get a lit glow,

i also apply it here,

on the nose...

and here, even tho i usually do this after i have my eye makeup all done... but i dont use much eye makeup anyways so...

before i would never use highlighter so we are going to skip that step

lets do brows now, i use a Catrice pencil, and i really like this pencil, gives a very natural look

on the other side, before, i would never do eyebrows, and also my brow was super thin

and i think it would start about here,

on my eye lids i usually dont do much nowadays,

sometimes i'll just use my contour pallet, and i just use a bit of one of this shades

i dont go crazy whit eyeshadow nowadays and you will see why soon,

like, i am a bit scared of it

and yea, this is pretty much all i do

and now, this is the part i would do a lot before...

so i have in this bag, the actually pallet i would always use a few years ago, tough it would be fun to keep it

its all old and broken, but yea, i kept it,

so, for starters, i would take this pink that you can already see the pan lol

so i would pick a bit of it with my fingers, obviously lol

so i would apply this all over my lid,

this is supper shinny and glittery, and lots of color

i dont even know how i would pull this off tbh

and i would grab this purple, and applied it as a second color lol

and this is not as pigmented as it used to be, it used to have a bigger color pay off

so yea.. i would go out with my eyes fully purple,

what was i thinking when i choose to go out like this? i have no idea

and i think i am actually blending this way to nicely lol

i have here a another brush, because i would use a brush for what i am about to do, it was either a brush or a q-tip..lol

so i would grab this green and i would go under my eye, and just put it there,

so yea, this was a thing, i would go out like this

i feel like, i don have enough purple shadow,

since i knew so much about makeup i would grab this champain color and apply it to give it a bit of a pop

now lets use some eyeliner, to be honest nowadays sometimes i don't even use it

but when i do use, i use this NYX one, and i just do a wing on my lid

and that's it, when i use eyeliner, this is all i do,

before... i would do with a pencil lol

and i would do on top, and on the botton

and i am not going to put a lot of effort in to it, because i know i wouldn't before lol

and i would think my make up was fabulous

yep, this is it, its gorgeous, i know

i feel like crying

noways before using mascara i always use a curler,

i do it like this, because i feel like it works better this way

now the mascara i am using is "the falsies" from maybelline,

and this one gives crazy volume to the lashes

on the other side, what i used to use on my lashes was a transparent crappy mascara, thats was pretty much like not using anything

what i'm going to do, is use the same one i used before, but use just a tinny little bit

and thats it , because i wouuld never spend much time on my lashes

nowadays days what i do on my lips is, i go over with a pencil , and i love natural colors

so i use a pencil about 1 or 2 tones darker than my lipstick, and then i go over with my KIKO lipstick

it is moisturizing and has a very natural color,

now i'm going to do what i used to do before,

i would just use a very vibrant color,

yea, after i've used all this colors on my eyes, i would still use this on my lips lol

not i am going to go over with a gloss, from KIKO, bbecause i used to use glosses A LOT, i dont know why

and i would overline my lips with the gloss, because at the time people would say doing this would make your lips look bigger

as if my lips weren't already big

and yea, this is my actual look VS my look from when i was younger

when i was still learning how to use makeup

i tough this here as a master piece

i wish i could go back in time,

i'm going to get closer to the camera so you guys can see this mess properly

and yea guys, my eye would always be like this, because i was using all this crap

i'm pretty sure i'm losing my eye today

awesome...but yea, this is how i used to do my makeup before

i left this stain of mascara here lol usually i dont

so i change the camera settings, so that you guys can see properly the mess that has been done here

and yea, my eye is about to explode

and then we have this side that is looking fab

and todays lesson is, to not use old makeup because my eye is about to explode

so today! tadaa its been a hot minute since we've last seen the deep fryer

and so today we'll be deep frying these chinese buns in hot oil

its been quite a long time since I did a deep frying vid

seems like a lot of y'all like my deep frying vids

and a I keep hearing you guys asking for more deep fryer vids

but I've deep fried so many things that I just couldn't think of anything to deep fry....

and of course I want to only deep fry things that definitely will end up tasting good deep fried

and I saw someone saying "why not chinese buns?" and I was like.... "Whoa! omg consider it done!"

and so I'll be deep frying this ~its been a while~

alrighty lets do it

I'll be deep frying these chinese buns I've got 4 meat buns, 2 pizza buns

2 sweet bean buns, and 2 pork buns these are the fancier ones

I bought em all at 7-11

so I'll start with the meat bun

"oil in"

nothin' nothin's happening

I was supposed to check the temp wasn't I

and if you stick a chopstick in and tiny bubbles start forming then its the right temp

alrighty "oil in"

what up with this chinese bun?

oh wait its starting to sizzle now finally

wow.

I feel like this food was created from the beginning to be deep fried

~ I don't even know what I'm talking about ~

this is a pizza bun

waaa... it's such a wonderful color now

its like the color of a donut

oh there are such things as deep fried gyozas out there already I guess...

when you think about it somebody has had to have done this before

wow.... its really crisp now

K this looks about ready

and this one of those fancier pork buns

oh it doesn't sizzle right away... that's no fun

and sweet bean buns. ~I got a feeling that sweet bean buns would be tasty deep fried~

sweet bean bun it looks like a bread of some sort

the pork buns are looking fantastic

tadaa they're all done

just check them all out they look so yummy

freshly made itadakimasu

I'll start off with this regular meat bun

whoooooaaaa well its nothing different on the inside

but with the super crispy exterior it looks so yummy

and the meat inside looks like its juicier

delish

its super delish!

the outside is very crisp and the dough inside is so fluffy

~might be because its been a while since I last had these~ the stuffing inside feels like its made even more juicier

~maybe these were already super delish?~

its steamy

its a different taste experience from eating regular chinese buns

~cuz' of the added oils~

next are pork buns I'll cut it open

waaaa so crunchy

ahh that pizza aroma its got cheese in it

~these'll be yummy~

the ingredients inside are so melty good~

is it because they are so piping hot that they taste so good?

and the cheese inside is all melted

I got a blast of that super hot stuff in my mouth ~it was sooo hot~

the exterior is deep fried and tasty

next up is deep fried sweet bean bun this is the one I've been waiting for

cuz we all know sweet beans taste so good when you deep fry them

its jam packed full of bean paste

wow this really was packed full of it

looks like its piping hot this paste tends to heat up to an unreal amount

delish

what would make this better is a bit of mochi

gotta be either mochi or butter

it feels like the chinese sweet makers would have already made something like this

hot

these deep fried buns are perfect with tea

4th one is... the sort of fancy pork bun

the contents of these pork buns are a bit different... they look so yummy

the dough is so soft and chewy

and the meat is so darn juicy

when you deep fry things in oil things suddenly taste so much better

why does it? get so?

yummier? when you use oil?

soooo yummy

sweet bean bun

I just can't get enough of that sweet bean contained within that tasty dough

this is sort of like a bean donut but the dough isn't sweet and

its super chewy and so its a different experience

and the crust is so much crunchier than a bean donut

chinese bun dough gets way crispier when you deep fry them as compared to doughnut dough

and last up, pork bun

pork buns are so yummy the meat inside is so sumptuous

I'm thinking that adding a bit of ra-yu chili oil will be yummy

delish goes so perfectly with ra-yu

the ra-yu is so tasty

its got a bit of a spicy kick but that chili oil is so yummy

its no wonder that ra-yu goes with chinese foods

last mouthful itadakimasu

gochisosamadeshita the deep fried chinese buns tasted amazing

it really did taste that yummy and its so easy to do as well

all you gotta do is deep fry it in oil

I let these sit for a while after purchasing them so I used buns that were kind of cold

but they still ended up being nice and hot inisde

and the meat tasted way juicier and so very yummy

the sweet bean bun would be nice for a snack
