Khon Jai Ma | Why you should desex your dog. - Duration: 5:32.

NATT: Hi Natt from Khon Jai, today we're back again with Dr Peace

PEACE: Hi

NATT: Ok, now today we're gonna talk about why you should desex your dog.

PEACE: Today in Thailand especially we have really overpopulated stray dogs that nobody is

taking care of them and they keep producing babies that is why we need to stop them.

NATT: Stop the cycle.

PEACE: Yes, stop this cycle, because one dog does not produce just one puppy.

there'll be a lot more for you to take care of that's a lot more costs that you have to prepare for

so if you cut it off at the beginning you only have one healthy dog at home.

PEACE: The birth control if either pills or injections would give the dog's uterus

full of pus and it'll be inflamed, they might not show the signs right after you

inject it, but it will show sign eventually and it could cause a lot more

problems, than just bringing the dog to desexed at the vet, and that is once and done process.

NATT: So just cut it out, is better than injecting things in.

PEACE: And if the organs are still there they'll be able to get pregnant again

NATT: Hm-Hmm, because like the owner forgot.

PEACE: Yeah, right.

NATT: So as your professional opinion you recommend to, Snip, Snip.

PEACE: Yes, right... snip, snip. Once and done. NATT: Once and done, easy to remember.

NATT: So when should we desex the dog.

PEACE: Um, normally we will have to wait until the dogs both male and female are sexually mature.

PEACE: Actually around six months to one year would be a healthy stage.

NATT: Okay.

PEACE: But don't ever forget that every surgical process or every anesthesia is

full of risk, but it depends on how healthy your dogs are

like

if we

even screen it with blood check or

physical exam or other checks that you have done with your dogs.

they'll still have risks and make sure you talk it through with your vet before you make a decision.

NATT: The dog just come out from a surgery room, they still a little bit drowsy or sometimes

it's not even wake up yet. So what should the owners do at that time?

PEACE: They should keep the dog in a

warm dry place to make sure that their temperature goes back to normal and don't

force-feed them with anything

not even food or water

just wait until they are fully awake because we don't want anything to get into the lungs. If they choke or yes.

NATT: So like even the dog feel like I want to eat, because you put the food down they will go straight to food.

You should still not feed the dog, anyway.

PEACE:No, we should not put anything that smells really good because dogs before

surgery they would have to withdraw the food for 8 to 12 hours

and they'll definitely be hungry, when they wake up.

NATT: So no food before surgery, just like humans. PEACE: Yeah, right.

NATT: 8 to 12 hours, not even water. PEACE: No

NATT: Okay, so remember that it's very, very important your dog can die on the table if you feed your dog before surgery.

PEACE: Yes.

NATT: So, and then after wait for maybe a day?

PEACE: Um let's say 8 to 10 hours NATT: Another 8 to 10 hours before you can feed them again.

PEACE: But you can never leave your dog alone.

Yep, please have somebody with her or him.

NATT: Mm-hmm. When they're drowsy, they're very funny.

PEACE: They could, you know, bang their head with the door,

table or even other dogs that that they're not friends with and they could getting to a fight without knowing.

NATT: So, it would be safe to maybe put them in a cage?

PEACE: Right, in a restricted area. NATT: In a restricted area with fully someone monitor at all times.

PEACE: Yeah. NATT: Okay, okay.

PEACE: So, if you make sure that you take really good care of your dog during the recovery period, 7 to 10 days

your dog will recovery really fast and

there will be no more cost

or no extra cost for the inflamed wound or infected wound.

NATT: The owner might have to take the dog back to the vet to maybe restitch again?

PEACE: Mm-Hmm. Maybe a restitch or do the wound care every day after that.

NATT : Yeah

NATT: So why do I have a stitch on, no shower! PEACE: No shower, no going into the water!

NATT: Just make sure it's all dry at all times.

PEACE: Right.

NATT: I hope you learned something from this video from more of this kind of educational video please subscribe. Any comments or questions

please leave it down below. I'll do my best to answer them even her will help me answer them too. Don't forget!

NATT: So well, Natt Hamon, Remember, Be Carm, PEACE: Be Confident!

Earth's Moon Formed in 'Moonlet' Mash-Up After Many Earth Impacts | Exploring Nature - Duration: 4:46.

Earth's Moon Formed in 'Moonlet' Mash-Up After Many Earth Impacts

Earth's moon may be the product of many small moonlets that merged after multiple objects

as big as Mars collided with Earth, leaving disks of planetary debris orbiting the planet,

a new study suggests.

This idea that multiple impacts led to the moon's birth challenges the most prevalent

theory of lunar formation, which suggests that one giant impact led to the formation

of the moon.

The new, multiple-impact hypothesis suggests that about 20 moon- to Mars-size objects struck

the Earth, flinging debris from the planet into orbit.

There, the debris formed disks around the Earth that looked somewhat like Saturn's rings.

Over centuries, debris in several disks accreted to form moonlets that migrated farther and

farther from the Earth due to tidal interactions.

Eventually, the moonlets settled at a distance known as the Hill radius, coalescing to form

one big moon.

This process isn't too far off from the "Giant Impact Hypothesis," which states that a planet-size

rock named Theia struck the Earth, leaving behind a jet of debris that went on to form

the moon.

But there's one problem with this theory: it doesn't provide a good explanation for

the strong similarity between the composition of the moon and the Earth.

"The multiple-impact scenario is a more natural way of explaining the formation of the moon,"

Raluca Rufu, a researcher at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel and lead author

of the study, told Space.com.

"In the early stages of the solar system, impacts were very abundant; therefore, it

is more natural that several common impactors formed the moon, rather than one special one.

In a giant impact scenario, the object that struck the Earth would have needed an Earth-like

composition to create a moon that is made of the same materials as Earth.

If the impactor were composed of different stuff than Earth, the moon would not be so

Earth-like in composition.

Authors of the new study, which was published today (Jan. 9) in the journal Nature Geoscience,

performed several numerical simulations of moon-forming processes and determined that

a multiple-impact scenario better explains the moon's Earthly composition.

"Moreover, the composition similarity between the Earth and the moon in the giant impact

cannot be explained without using a special Earth-like impactor," Rufu added.

"However, if multiple of bodies contribute to the final moon, their chemical signatures

can even out, therefore the traces of the various impacts will be masked."

Rufu also said that no existing evidence points more strongly to a single-impact hypothesis,

though some studies have found that it is possible to reproduce the moon's composition

with a single impact if it strikes with enough angular momentum.

Such an impact "will excavate more Earth material; hence the final moon composition is similar

to Earth," she said.

"After the impact, the Earth-moon system has to lose the excess angular momentum."

"To match both compositional and angular momentum constraints, the single giant-impact hypothesis

requires such a specific type of collision that the moon's formation becomes an uncomfortably

improbable coincidence," Gareth Collins, a planetary scientist at Imperial College London

who studies impacts throughout the solar system, wrote in an accompanying Nature News & Views

article.

Collins wrote that the study revives "the hitherto largely discarded scenario that a

series of smaller and more common impacts, rather than a single giant punch, formed the

moon."

Rufu and her colleagues are not the first to propose a multiple-impact scenario.

Another paper published in 1989 raised that possibility, but "no further work was done

on the subject," Rufu said.

"This paper is first to provide extensive calculations that we hope will stimulate others

to reexamine the issue."

Further research into the multiple-impact hypothesis is already underway.

One of Rufu's collaborators, physicist Hagai Perets of the Technion ? Israel Institute

of Technology, is already working to find out the efficiency of moonlet mergers.

Rufu and her adviser also plan to study the moonlet-merging process "to understand the

mixing of the moonlets inside the final moon."

HOW TO INSTALL A TV ANTENNA FOR FREE HDTV | Get Free HD TV Channels Without Cable | USA Trends - Duration: 4:26.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess you're looking for an HD antenna maybe

you're quitting cable or you just want to pull in your local stations well you

probably noticed by now there are tons of options so which one do you pick and

then once you get it where do you put it well that's what we're here for I've

littered my house with tons of antennas and tried all types of little placement

tricks to figure out what's the best way to set up an antenna I've got a treasure

trove of antennas here you've got the really popular flat style antenna which

you could put in a window or hide behind a TV we've got a curved design in case

it's gonna be out where people can see it it's not totally ugly there's this

wing shape thing I don't know what that's for and then we've got this

rather uncommon type which I suppose you could hang on the wall or maybe slide

behind a television which one's right for you well first of all I can tell you

that these flat style antennas vary greatly in price this is a $10 example

I've also got an $80.00 one over here with an amplifier built in there is a

difference in quality this 10 dollar job might get you buy if you live right in

the city but the further you go out the more you're gonna want to spend the

bottom line is you get what you pay for the first rule when it comes to placing

your antenna is there are no rules the thing is in any given house there's

a number of different buildings around you've got signals shooting all over the

place so you've got direct signal and reflected signal embrace the notion of

trial and error you're gonna have to play around a little bit to find out how

it works best for you however there are some general guidelines that you can use

to help you along with the process first go to antenna web o RG plug in

your address and it will show where the broadcast towers are relative to where

you live if you can shoot for placement in a window that faces those towers and

a window without a screen is better than a window with a screen with this

unamplified flat antenna in my window I'm getting between 85 and 92 percent on

almost all of my channels and that's because I've got pretty good

line-of-sight at just 9 miles the only thing in the way a building and a few

trees here's the thing though depending on where our camera is and where I'm

standing into the room I can actually affect the signal strength by up to 20

percent that means depending on where you have plants or lamps you could

actually be affecting the signal strength and that's where I get back to

the whole art and trial an error thing so we've just switched

over from one of these larger amplified flat antennas to something much much

smaller this is the mo who leave Metro compact it's designed to be hidden

behind objects it's tiny and believe it or not we're getting better signal than

we were before which just goes to show that the size

may matter but not the way you think something this small you'd want to hide

behind the TV right so let's try that out we're at a hundred percent with our

exposure to the window I go back behind the TV and after it reacquires we lose a

little signal strength there now that may not be a big deal for me here but

for you that ten or fifteen percent could make or break your reception

there's a lot going on in your TV that could potentially impede the signal but

if you are gonna drop it behind the TV I recommend keeping it up high towards the

top there's less interference there and you've got a better shot of pulling in a

good signal another great idea if you're thinking about going behind your TV with

your antenna we found that these metallic antennas from HD frequency work

really really well so just a quick word about inline amplifiers on these

antennas you might think that they could be the solution to your problems but as

a matter of fact if you don't live fairly far away from the transmitters

they could actually do damage see these amplifiers are designed to make a

low-level signal strong enough for your TV tuner they're not actually going to

pull in the signal any better here's what we learn from our hours of trial

and error you're gonna have to spend some time with your own trial and error

because all of these different antennas perform differently and perform

differently based on where we place them I've been using this curved Moho antenna

for eight months and ultimately I found that these little guys tuck behind my TV

actually worked better thing is you're experience is going to be different so

here's what we recommend you do step one go to antenna web org and find out where

the transmitters are in your area this will at least give you some intelligence

behind what you're about to do step two buy high-quality antenna in fact buy

more than one you generally get what you pay for spend more than ten bucks and

get a good quality piece of gear step three

go in with an open mind this is as much an art as it is a science step 4

experiment trial and error is gonna get you the best results here try different

antennas in different places until you find the best one step 5

enjoy the fruits of your labor there's something really satisfying about

getting sparkling free HD television in your
