The window in Rato

I'm going to tell you about my window.

I live in a house that is between Príncipe Real and Rato

I'm actually very lucky because it's a very cosy house

it looks like a den

And 'm going to tell you the story about my window

and actually, I don't know if it's really a true story

because someone told it to me

people say I sleepwalk

and that I create my own stories, vocabulary,

new words, different sounds, while I'm sleeping

People say!

And one day, one night, I was sleeping

and a group of friends passed by my window

they were coming from Bairro Alto and decided

to play their games and obviously, people make noise

and they woke me up from my beauty dream

I don't think I was really awake actually

I was in between sleeping and being awake

So apparently I got up, went to to the window and told them to be quiet

and that's my story, even though

it's my story because I'm in it

but I wasn't completely awake to confirm if it's true

Kikuyo Taxi in Japan goes all-electric with Nissan LEAF - Duration: 3:22.

Kikuyo Taxi has a staff of 19 with 12 taxis,

all of which are Nissan LEAF electric vehicles.

With one or two EVs, there would be minor impact,

but when you have Japan's first 'All EV Taxi Fleet',

the impact is much greater.

I love EVs.

They're good for the environment,

and when I think of the future of car transportation

it's going to be the way.

Of course, passengers are happy.

Our goal is to keep our natural environment, while building a community.

For our town, Kikuyo Taxi and its EVs

serve a need for citizens who want a beautiful environment.

By hosting this company, I think the meaning of

EV transportation can gain understanding.

Previously we had a gas taxi business,

but at that time, a single vehicle's fuel expense was about 60,000 yen.

So we drastically cut costs with our EV fleet,

as the running expenses for one taxi fell to 10,000 yen.

Gas expenses fell by over 80%.

People-friendly,

environmentally-friendly,

and globally-friendly.

I think EVs will catch on greatly.

English at Work: 10 Phrasal Verbs for the Office - Duration: 8:47.

Thanks for clicking, and welcome to this important English lesson on using English at work.

And today we are going to look at "10 Phrasal Verbs for the Office".

So, if you have an office job, any type of office job, these phrasal verbs are very,

very common in any English-speaking workplace.

So let's start with the first five, we'll talk about them, we'll look at some examples,

and I'll explain them for you guys.

So, number one: "to fill out".

Now, "to fill out" basically means to complete.

And this is usually in the context of a form.

So: "Did she fill out the registration form?",

"Oh, if you're interested in working here, please fill out this application."

Okay?

So you fill out or complete a form.

Next: "to run out (of) something".

Now, I put the "of" in parenthesis because you can just say: "Oh, it ran out",

or "something ran out of something else".

So, for example, if something runs out it means you have used all of it and there is

no more left.

Now, in the office usually this refers to some kind of supply, some kind of inventory

item that you have no more of because you ran out of it.

For example: "The printer ran out of ink."

Or you can say: "Oh no. We ran out of paper",

or "We ran out of pens. We need to order more pens."

Okay?

So if you run out of something it means you have used all of it and there's no more left,

you need to order more.

Next: "note down".

This is very common in meetings, and "to note down" simply means to write.

For example: "Did you note down the main points from the meeting?"

I used to have a boss, and any time I had a meeting with him, if I came into that meeting

with no paper, with no pen, he would...

He would not start the meeting.

He said: "Okay, we're going to have a long meeting for 30 minutes, 60 minutes, you need

to note down the important points from the conversation.

Alex, go get a pen and a paper."

Good times.

Okay, next: "to back up".

Now, this context is usually used for files on your computer.

So: "to back up your files", "back up your information", "back up your data"

means to make an extra copy.

So, for example: "Make sure to back up your files."

A lot of people use, you know, online storage spaces to back up important information.

You might have something in your email address, you might have something like the...

At this point, the cloud or, you know, like your Google Drive or something like that,

or maybe you have an external hard drive where you back up your files or a USB stick to back

up your files.

So it just means make an extra copy in case the original copy gets deleted or erased by

accident, or because of a virus or something like that.

All right, next: "come up".

So, if something comes up at the office it means that something has happened or it has arisen.

So, for example: "An urgent situation has just come up."

So if something comes up it's something that just happens, surprises you.

So, for example, if one of your employees...

If you are a boss, for example, and one of your employees quits...

And you're in a meeting and the employee comes in and quits, and you say:

"I can't finish this meeting. Something urgent has come up.

Somebody is quitting." Okay?

So something comes up, happens, arises without kind of you expecting it to.

Okay, next: "keep up with".

So, "to keep up with something" means to follow or to keep pace with something in the context

of business, office work.

Let me give you one example.

"Have you been keeping up with the latest news?

Have you been following the latest news?"

You can also talk about a business keeping up with trends, with things that are happening

in their line of business now.

Okay?

Next: "set up".

So, "to set something up" means to organize it or to, you know, get it started.

So, for example: "Could you help me set up the new printer?

Could you help me plug it in and make sure everything is okay, make sure the software

is on the computer?

And could you help me set it up?"

It's not only for objects.

You can set up a meeting or organize a meeting.

You can set up a holiday party, for example.

Next: "go through".

So, if you go through something, this simply means you experienced it and usually it's

something difficult that you had to survive.

So: "He's going through a difficult time."

Think of you're going through, like you're experiencing something that is difficult and

challenging.

Okay?

Next: "find out".

So, "to find out" means to discover, or to obtain or get information.

So, for example: "How did you find out about our company?"

This is a very common question that you will see on company websites.

It's also something that you might be asked at an interview.

"How did you find out about our company?

How did you discover the information about our company?"

All right?

And finally: "to call off".

"Call off" means to cancel.

Usually this is in the context of a meeting.

So, for example: "Can we call off the conference call?"

I just realized I didn't put a question mark and I didn't close my quotation marks, here.

Just give me a sec, guys.

Preparation is everything. Right?

That's what happens when I have people calling me all day.

Okay, so "call off".

So you can call off a meeting, you can call off a conference call, for example.

For example: "Can we call off (cancel) the conference call?

I'm not ready, or something important has come up."

All right, so today we looked at 10 very important, very common phrasal verbs that you can use

at your office, at your job, at work.

Hello Friend! Welcome to my channel "CookWithNisha"

Today's I will show you how to make fruit custard at Home

It is very easy to make and I have used seasonal fruit in this

you can use fruits of your own choice

let start with the recipe

1 ltr full cream milk

4 tbsp custard powder

1 cup/ 100 gm sugar (as per taste)

1 medium apple chopped

1 medium Mango chopped

1 medium Pomegranate seeds

1 Banana chopped

15-20 grapes

wash the pan with water and keep it wet so the milk don't stick to it.

pour the milk in it and turn on the gas flame

Keep the flame medium and allow it to boil

after first boil turn the flame low

stir it 1-2 times

Now in a separate bowl we will prepare the custard paste

mix 4 tbsp custard powder and 5 tbsp lukewarm milk

keep the consistency thin

you can use custard powder of any brand. It is easily available in the market

Now add the sugar and stir it well

now add custard paste in it.

While adding custard paste keep stirring the milk continuously so that lumps are not formed

allow it to cook on low flame

keep on stirring often while it is cooking

in 6-7 min on low flame it changes it colour and thicken

turn off the flame and allow it to cool. after cooling it will thicken more

refrigerate for 4-5 hour to chill before adding fruits

after 4-5 hours you will see custard is smooth, creamy and thick

Now add chopped fruits in it

I have used apple, Mango, pomegranate, banana and grapes in it

you can use fruits of your own choice like papaya, guava or chiko

Mix the fruit well in custard

Healthy, creamy fruit custard is ready now

hey guys so in let me check two hours I

will be leaving to go to dinner before I

go to see todrick Hall straight outta

Oz I'm seeing it in Santa Cruz tonight

and well it won't be tonight for you

guys but for me it's I'm going to go see

it tonight and super excited I purposely

haven't been listening to any of the

music videos for the most part or

looking at pictures because I want it to

be kinda like a surprise something

exciting where I don't know all the

secrets before I'm going with my mom

because it's fun and Mother's Day just

happened and I like hanging out with her

and I didn't really know anyone who

would also want to watch it but yes so

I'm going to do a get ready with me

going out to see straight outta oz I

haven't figured out my outfit yet I know

I want to curl my hair so that's where

I'm going to start and we'll just see

where we go from there but yeah I guess

we'll do a quick little time lapse I

don't think we need a long one I curl my

hair the same I'm using the same tool as

I always do yeah so I'm going to do that

I just finished I need to go and spray

it but yeah

here are my curls this one is especially

my face so I'm going to spray it after I

tossle it but yeah I'll see you guys

like it I'm contemplating it's just

bothering me I'm contemplating the

makeup I don't wear makeup but maybe

tonight because I'm going to a show when

it's something fun but I don't know

probably should pick my outfit up first

then I'll decide on makeup yeah so do

then we'll pick an outfit you and me

together cuz all this yeah picking out I

kind of wanna do green because it was

OZ-y and all the people who live in the

Emerald City we're great but is that too

far that I do not know plus I do not have a

green dress or like a whole green outfit

but I'm thinking spots of green will

probably be fun and but yeah so I'm just

gonna pull up some ideas and I have a

black body con skirt

that I think might be cute

I like this white and black dresses

flowy it reminds me of a witch or beetle juice so that could be fun

I don't think this one goes with

sweaters or jackets

I have this bodycon was like sweater

material and is long sleeve long black

flowy shirt I could wear black pants with it or

green pants with it yes let's let's keep

that out what do i have in green I have a green flannel a cactus

dress a green and blue shirt I'm not

really feeling that I feel a little to casual

yeah I mean I have a black plain dress

but I don't wanna wear black plain so

some of the green things I have are

have this green

sweater is very chunky and big so maybe

that and then I have this green sweater

two very different greens I feel like

this is more emerald

have that black dress I have a black t-shirt

dress but I don't know if that goes with sweaters

turn you off while you I change cuz I'm

brown and I have I think this applies

now that I look at this blush it might

actually be blue

don't know why I was blue

oh I do actually like I like also like a

navy blue what's interesting and now I

need that don't know if those are needed

forces of things but I think they might

do it and maybe maybe

emember my new binder not that I saw

but I do have them here's

are useful get up I mean you can but

there's like your waterline which is

that bit of your eye that touches the

eyeball and then you can put eyeliner

there but all the time I think people

just put it right where the eyelashes

from the bottom touch I could be

mistaken but that's where I'm putting it

again I have lots of makeup in a very

long time I mean actually practically

never on blurry

I've never seriously done makeup

what's really bothering me that you're

so blurry

I wanted to show you this okay well you

can kind of see versus not

I don't know if I did that right just

don't know now you know I'm really

worried that I'm gonna do something like

this but I like touch my eye and smear it but I did

one so I got together I'm not gonna

does it look like any on oh my girl no

but it is yeah I feel like I look

not that I'm expecting much because I

only put eyeliner on

yeah that's it I have a lip gloss stick

summer night that I'm more often on

some of the same it's like the lightest

thing ever

oh yeah so done um I still have I can

left a little less than an hour before I

leave

oh I think I'm gonna go watch some

YouTubeto be honest i'm not going to paint my nails

I should probably figure out what shoes to wear

right now only wearing socks

to try and figure out heels or tennis shoes what will it be

see you later so I tried on heels and

pretty sure it's a big no I don't like heels

these are like the only pair of heels I own

and I don't want to wear them I just

walked around my house and no but I

thought I'd show you guys and then put

on some shoes

I can walk like fine in them I just

don't like the feeling with my feet

being like that no heels for me maybe

another time but it's fine

this is probably the perfect time since

it's going to be sitting if you're like

a lot of times people wear heels they go

and they're walking around with that

height difference some down um it's

probably the best time to ideals because

it's mostly going to be sitting watching

the show and like walking around just to

dinner or whatever and what I don't

think so I'd rather be comfortable the

whole time then uncomfortable any of the

time so I'm gonna go grab tennis shoes

and I'll show you which ones I pick ah

yeah

I put on some rings this one of the cool

one I got for my my very good friends

this green one because it goes with this

letter this green one made out of

leather and it's supposed to look like a

tie from somebody make something tie yes

I liked it because the green and then

this was whimsical with I'm going to and

then my tennis shoes which are all Omar

Salazar Nike skate shoes I liked them because

they're black they're comfy so I'm

dressed and ready I might bring not the

bigger camera for the smaller cameras

with different quality for there and

whatever I might just use my phone we'll see

so last night I saw straight out of Oz

by todrick hall and it was iconic and

legendary as was said there it was

amazing I loved every second of it uh

during intermission I'm on my phone but

during intermission I wrote down my

thoughts in the first half after we

finished and on the way home I wrote

down more thought and I thought I'd

share because I really enjoyed it

I wrote that oh I wanted to note that I

cried I cried at the the dad song I

should have looked it up but I didn't

see what the actual name was but at the

time I couldn't think of it the one that

in the music video Wayne Brady's the dad

and it's about boys don't cry and boys

don't do this and oh I cried also I

think directly after is the mom song

about fighting lions and tigers and

bears like by fighting anything for him

cried especially because I had my mom as

a person I went with sitting right next

to me like Oh mom song my mom's right

here oh yes I cried full-on tears not

like the noisy cry but just tears were

streaming um and like not in like it's

okay to cry

I totally was like I was just so moved

and everything before that was amazing

that was just like no I notably cried

like okay I need to mention that um the

costumes oh my gosh we're on point um

the detail of one of the costumes it was

like a blue and white cloud like outfit

and then the back was the yellow brick

road like you what you would have

guessed until when the turn around top

you'd be like there's a little more Oz

there was there's so many good costume

uh what else but obviously the singing

and dancing was fabulous beyond reason

it was like every single dancer and

singer and combination of the two were

so well done nobody out shown over

everyone else there is so in sync or

even when it wasn't supposed to be in

sync it felt organic so good what else did

I put ah Glen duh is a blue check hmm

which you'll have to see you to know

what that is but also come on so clever

Glen duh that that's cute

there's a lot of really adorable Wizard

of Oz

thrown glittered everywhere where's

little Oz was everywhere

I really thought that was a funny song I

like that dude who plays Glenn I can't

think of his name like I don't watch any

of todricks videos like I just can't

think of anything names or anyone's name

yes that was awesome

the one of my favorite things is that

the entire crowd

uh either knew the word snow songs or so

pumped that people were just like I know

I was in my seat the whole thing I was

stomping my feet and I was just like

grooving to the music dancin with the

beat and then when people were clapping

we were all clapping in sync with what

the show was doing and it was a very

amazing environment to be in the entire

show was just absolutely clever there

was no part of it where I did not think

there was absolute brilliance ingenious

cleverly thrown in the lyrics to the

songs my mom has never watched todrick o

or seen any of the music videos to these

songs beforehand and she was blown away

I asked her what she thought how at

halftime and she was just like this I

didn't know what to expect when you're

trying to explain it to me what we were

going to and it's amazing like it's a

story that I can follow the music she's

like did he write the music

well like yes she's like wow he's really

good and my mom was also dancing I just

it was so good so that was like before

intermission that's what I thought it

ever sure was great because they played

videos that are from his channel which I

mean that's the best kind of

intermission as posted sitting there in

the dark

also the merchandise was very cute in

and not even like not even in a cute way

it was like slaying um it was very good

uh during intermission I waiting in line

for the bathroom I got talking to a girl

who had a red blazer on and she glitter

DIY the back to say expensive

because that is one of the songs and

then she's telling me about her her

brother was wearing a green is a green

disease as they they made that the I saw

girl in black and white stripes tights

with glitter red sneakers on there was

these two young girls one was definitely

like Glinda and one was more of like an

Elphaba type of their own versions like

she had a caution tape cape it was very

cute um but there's just so much to look

at and do and I like that the videos are

playing so I could still dance along

during intermission because that was

great

next was the Oscars Ozcars the Oz-scars

and the costumes for that for I mean

were big and bold and green the I was

really glad to me that I can't remember

his real name but the person who plays

Glenn he is the blonde hair the platinum

blonde hair his Oscars outfit the fabric

for the pointy blazer he's wearing look

like pure glitter like it didn't look

like sequins or anything like that I

could just not even pick out what the

fabric was it was I don't even know it

was just so it just felt organic but

completely shiny in every way and every

way it turned the light it was all good

um I cried again I cried as the song uh

both these songs were about

things have been happening in the world

of the mass shootings and things like

that and so one of them was about all

the people who have been taking going

heaven and how they are defying gravity

and then the other one was about is not

about but my might be called water guns

again I didn't look it up but both of

those were in a row and I cried during

the whole thing still just tears not

like sobbing there's nothing terribly

embarrassing but those two signs extra

saw and the dancers were beautiful

it was so lyrical and amazing yeah go

watch just um yeah uh I couldn't stop

moving my feet the whole show even the

sad things like just the dancing you

wanted I wanted to be one of the dancers

and I can't even dance as good as them

but I just wanted to I wanted to be

there dancing because it was so magical

it was magical that's that's really what

it was um what I'm say right I wrote so

fun and high-energy and the story slows

talked about that a little bit but it

really did my mom really was like I'm I

love the way the show was put together

because I don't have to know his life

story to understand where he's going

with this because it's told and it's

told and stuff like in such a way that I

can understand what things mean or what

he's trying to convey which is nice

because I mean a lot of the people who

went

I'm sure watch his videos but I liked

that my mom who hadn't seen any of his

videos

could still tell what he was about and

why his messages all those I liked about

all the dancers were unique and they

were also incredible everything they did

on the stage from scootering around on

the scooter that was it was just so like

graceful scootering and the singing the

singing even just a little acting they

did like while someone else is singing

if you watch every single performer

space none of them had dead face

none of them like just like they were

all unloading the entire time and that's

what I like I like that I could be

looking at anyone and still feel the

emotion and the story and all of the

wonderful things that were happening um

one of the things I was most impressed

about and it's more of a not about the

show but about just what the show means

or is is that the line went around the

block when you have when you get there

the line for the theater in two hours

before the show was down the street and

around the block and when you walk from

the front all the way around the corner

you saw that there was people of all

ages there were little kids

that I'd say are probably seven or eight

wanting knowing who todrick is listening

to his music online and wanting to see

the show there were elderly people who

people behind us

she sat up at the front well the not

like it was the lady behind us in line

mom sat at the front of the line and

waited and when we got finally got up to

the front bend she stood because she

couldn't walk all the way to the back of

the line there were people with

completely different styles there were

some people dressed up like I mean I'm

gonna dress as you saw a dress and a

like green sweater show and I had rings

off and then there were people in there

todrick merchandise there are people in

um ooh

costumes there are people in just street

clothes there are other people in like

nice Blazers and just bowties I like

that his todrick's voice and his show

carry to a wide audience I think that

was like one of the more inspiring

things is that his audience is so fast I

knew that people loved him

but I was excited to see the people who

like love and want to come see his show

because they're all so different and so

unique and oh and my mom when we were

talking was like I can't believe the age

range I can't believe the amount of

people and different types of people

because she'd never heard of him or

watched his videos and she assumed that

everyone was probably gonna roughly be

like my age or like teenagers but she

was like there are a ton of people older

than me here like if she thought she was

going to be like one of the older people

but she was like there are a ton of

people older than me or my

people like little tiny kids and she

liked that that's exciting that's really

cool and I was like I didn't know what

we were going to expect mom but I'm

really happy with what happened and I

love the people Santa Cruz and how

excited we were during the entire show

all of us she's standing up dancing in

your seats clapping along cheering it

was all so beautiful so much fun and I

appreciate everyone who went because the

audience also made the show and it made

it amazing as an experience of being

there and being in the crowd of ly like

safety and excitement and was a good

show todrick it was very good

I came tonight but I just think it's a

good show I'll come back you and you

come back to Santa Cruz I'm sure and

I'll bring more people though your show

sold out so I better get tickets in

advance like real advanced if I'm not

bring people but yeah it was amazing I

had so much fun I appreciate him coming

to Santa Cruz and all of his dancers and

singers thank you thank you thank you to

everyone who was in the show you were

amazing

you were a beyond me you were there are

no words you were to scream

you were purely green Emerald City about

my friends yes that was cheesy but I

don't care I have so much fun I was like

this practically the whole time waiting

in line the hour before

because I'm so excited I did that during

the show I was like but yeah I was

really happy and excited the entire time

I recommend everyone go see and use the

shows that you can do your hands on

tickets

cuz it's amazing it's thrilling it's

chock full of wizards of Wizard of Oz um

look for time looking for chalk full of

wizard of Oz not themes it is gonna bother
