then I have to immediately turn this delight into decision,

into pursuing the development of my own sensitivity.

So, I tried making rilakkuma lunch :)

Today I will create 3 types

Rilakkuma, Korilakkuma, Kiroyori

Kiri tori ..? Kiroyori ..?

It's a bit difficult name for me

Pronunciation is difficult and I practiced a lot :)

Let's make a cute lunch!

Hygiene management is important for food

Especially lunch box

Protect hygiene thoroughly and can create healthy to eat

So, today I will also share the way to wash my hands cleanly :)

Teostra - Character Development - Duration: 8:13.

I know I've been saying variations of this quite a bit in the past few months, but Capcom's

Monster Hunter franchise really is a series that I'm surprised I have yet to really

discuss on this show, as it has plenty of elements that I could feasibly analyze for

multiple episodes, all from a series focused on the thrill of hunting down a plethora of

beasts that can be several times your size and using materials gathered from them to

create stronger weapons and armor.

What makes the creatures of the Monster Hunter series particularly interesting is that nearly

every monster in the series is modelled after real life animals, both living and extinct,

as well as beasts from world mythology.

Some are even inspired by other sources entirely, like construction equipment.

That being said, there's a great number of possible video topics that I could get

from this series, but I want to focus on the series' most fearsome opponents, the Elder

Dragons.

Considering that these monsters have been able to live since ancient times and display

great strength, the Elder Dragons are like the literal mythological creatures of the

Monster Hunter universe.

Out of all of these living legends, which did I pick to discuss first?

Well, today, we're actually going to be talking about two Elder Dragons that are closely

related to one another: the Teostra, which debuted in Monster Hunter 2 and has made several

appearances since, and the Lunastra, which hasn't been seen as frequently, in spite

of its relation to the Teostra.

I hope you've sharpened your hammers and had a good steak, because we're going to

take a look at what makes these two special in how they were designed.

I'm the Kitsune Hawk, and today, we're going to be tracking down the background of

two of Monster Hunter's fearsome Elder Dragons, the Teostra and Lunastra!

So get out your pencils, trivia enthusiasts, because this is Character Development!

While I mentioned just moments ago that world mythology, fossil records, and real-life biology

are the main sources of inspiration for the creatures of the Monster Hunter franchise,

the Teostra and Lunastra go down a slightly more unique and sort of meta route in being

based on a combination of mythological entities that are themselves combinations of multiple

animals.

Specifically, the two that the Teostra and Lunastra seem to borrow from are the Chimaera

of Greek mythology and the Manticore of Persian mythology.

Both of these beasts share a common trait, in that they're both monstrous amalgams

of body parts from multiple animals, but they differ in anatomy, abilities, and significance

in myths.

Think of the Teostra and Lunastra as being the middle ground between these two mythical

fiends.

Let's start our discussion, then, with the more well-known of the two, the Chimaera.

As the tales of ancient Greece describe it, the Chimaera was the child of Echidna, a half-woman,

half-serpent, and full-time embodiment of decay and corruption, and Typhoeus, a fire-breathing

winged giant with the heads of a hundred animals and hundreds, if not thousands, of serpents

for fingers and legs.

As if its parents didn't sound horrifying enough, the Chimaera's siblings included

Kerberos, the three-headed guard dog of the Underworld, and the Hydra, a nine-headed serpent

that haunted the swamps of Lerna.

The Chimaera was described as having a lion's head and a goat's head on the same body,

usually that of a lion, and having the tail of a serpent or dragon, depending on the source

and translation.

Much like its father, the Chimaera was able to breathe forth blazing fire from its mouths;

some tales even posited that the Chimaera was connected to a volcano somewhere in Lycia,

the region where it resided.

Seeing the Chimaera was often interpreted as an omen of impending disaster, especially

volcanic eruptions.

As for the Manticore, there's much less to say with regards to its significance compared

to the Chimaera.

There aren't many Persian myths that describe it, with most records being from Greek interpretations

of Persian and Indian tales, but as they generally describe, the Manticore has the barbed tail

of a scorpion, the limbs and body of a lion, and the head of a human being.

Some versions even go a step further by giving the Manticore the ears and wings of a bat.

With its name coming from an Old Persian term meaning "man-eater," the Manticore was

described as a highly aggressive creature that would devour its prey whole, using its

tail to sting or shoot barbs coated with a paralyzing toxin.

Physically speaking, the Teostra and Lunastra take elements from both the Chimaera and Manticore.

Their manes, dragon-like tails, lion-esque faces, and the Teostra's curved horns are

all details borrowed from the Chimaera, while the lion-like legs, bat-like ears, and large

wings are taken from the Manticore.

And while they lack any association with poison like the Manticore, the Elder Dragon pair

is still closely aligned with the element of fire, being able to breathe streams of

concentrated flames and fill the air with explosive powder that they can ignite with

sparks from their teeth.

They're even coated in an aura of fire that will burn hunters who get too close to them.

Take all that and their frequent association with volcanic areas, and it's quite clear

that the Teostra and Lunastra not only get their alignment with fire from the Chimaera

of Greek mythology, they also expand upon the potential of what they can do by wielding

fire for their attacks.

Another point of note concerning the Chimaera and Manticore is the choice of gender used

in their specific myths.

In Greek mythology, the Chimaera, despite having the mane of a male lion, is frequently

described as being female, as noted by the Greek poet Hesiod, in his epic poem "Theogony".

The Manticore, on the other hand, is generally recognized as being male only.

Just as the Teostra and Lunastra take design influence from both of these creatures, one

of them—the Teostra—is always male, while the other—the Lunastra—is always female.

But what about the Teostra and Lunastra's names?

Well, I'm not entirely sure on this myself, but if I had to reckon a guess, the Teostra's

name might be a combination of "theó," which is Greek for "godly" or "divine,"

or "té," which is Irish Gaelic for "hot" or "fierce" and "astra," which is

Latin for "star".

Likewise, the Lunastra's name could be a combination of "astra" and "luna,"

which is Latin for "moon".

The Teostra and Lunastra, despite their similarities, are very rarely seen together, and, given

the possible etymology of their names, maybe the Teostra is a primarily diurnal predator

while the Lunastra is more of a nocturnal hunter?

… Or, y'know, it could just be an anagram

of the word "toaster"

There might not be as much to say about the Teostra and Lunastra compared to other characters

that I've discussed on this show, but it's still an interesting case of seeing how two

mythological creatures that are similar in premise, but distinct in details, can be combined

into an even more fearsome beast, even taking creative liberties and expanding upon the

mythos in some regards, such as the extended use of the element of fire.

Maybe it's because I'm fond of myths like the Chimaera and Manticore, but the Teostra

and Lunastra's designs really stick out to me, blending together elements of two age-old

rivals, the Greeks and the Persians, fashioning together a sort of new mythological entity

in the process.

Now if we could get a monster at least partially based on the Bakunawa of Philippine mythology,

that'd be absolutely baller.

Hey what's up my name is PJ and in this video we're gonna show you that you can

take high-end professional-looking portraits with cheap camera and lighting

Okay so in this video we were actually set up to record

some other content I had my Canon 750d the Canon 24mm

pancake lens. Very budget setup probably seven to eight hundred

dollars in total compared to my 5d Mark 3 kit which is four to five grand very

simple very cheap but good setup we had a $80 yongnuo flash the yongnuo 560-ii

I believe shooting through an umbrella this lady and her big beautiful

dog happened to walk past they started to talk to us we made a conversation and

I asked if I could take their picture this is the result something that I'm

very proud of and I think it goes to show that you can make high-end photos

with low end gear. Let's get into it now.

Okay so here we have me starting to

shoot the lovely lady that we met I think her name was Jopies and this is

her Standard Poodle Michael you can see I wasn't really directing her at this

point I was more just making casual conversation she was also a little bit

distracted talking to Jeremy and talking to the gentleman she was with I didn't

want to sort of pose her too much sure

One thing that I find is once you start to give non models too much directional you put the

pressure on then they kind of freeze up a little bit so I was happy to keep it a

little bit candid for this so here I just move the flashing a little bit

closer change the spread of the light get a little more bang for buck this

photo the UM flash didn't fire. It was right at the end the day the flash

didn't have too much power left.

So yeah those recycle times were probably five six seconds at least

Tried to get some candid moments it was a little difficult because of the

recycle time I could only shoot one frame every five or six seconds but I

think it turned out really cute anyway

Barnes was a kind of person, if we categorize him he was from a lower class

but there was a Definite Desire in him

to be the partner of the great inventor Thomas Alva Edison

that means I want to do business with Thomas Alva Edison

think about Thomas Alva Edison who is highly successful, world famous, a great scientist and so rich

and the second person, who is at ground level right now

but he has one thing and that is Definite Desire to what he wants to do in his life

what is my definite Desire on which I need to work

and see how this thing unfolded it

how this definite desire created a situation by which this person achieved his goal

when Barnes decided it and it became an obsession to him

that I want to work with Thoma Alva Edison as a Business Associate

at that time he had no resources

what I mean about resources? it means he was not highly educated or had any connection nor knew Edison

and the biggest thing he had not enough money to travel through train to cover the distance his place to Edison's place

that means he also had nothing Financially

think if a person wants to work with a person but he doesn't have any way to reach there

nor that person knows him and he has no education even

if there some people on that level so, they leave their dream

it is not practically possible

most of other people might do this

but Bernes didn't do such thing. let me tell you what He did

he took a freight train

and somehow without spending any money he reached to Orange County and He met with Thomas Edison

when he entered in his office. so, He didn't ask for any job

or I want to work with you, give me any opportunity, but he explained his intention

' I want to work with you as a partner.'

to this kind of highly successful person, this kind of person is saying that I want to be your partner

Thomas Edison saw something special in Barnes

this person has a passion and there is an intensity in his thoughts

through which he is able to present himself confidently, though he doesn't have any background yet

Edison was a very wise man because of his experience

so He gave a very small work to Barnes in his office

that means some kind work, which anyone can do

some kind of work he gave to Barnes and said you do this work for now

Barnes didn't say that I am not getting the opportunity for which I came here by facing so much difficulties

so let me ignore it or go somewhere else because Thomas Edison is not giving me any Value

he didn't say such thing. he said "wow! this is an opportunity that I got a chance to work with Edison

I will give my best in the responsibility or work given to me

I will do what I can

and he did the same

and every day when he was working in his office

there was always a thought in his mind

I am gonna work with Edison as a partner

He never thought that he was an employee he always felt himself as a partner

these images were revolved in his mind always

it happened so

what happened next? Thomas Edison invented the machine which was called Thomas dictator machine

when Edison invented the Thomas dictator machine

his existing sales team didn't show much interest in it

they felt like there is no market for such thing. who will buy it and why?

so did not show so much enthusiasm and energy in it

but as soon as Barnes saw this he understood that a device is invented

and the team is not so much encouraged in marketing it

so he gave an offer to Edison

that I would like to market it

and Edison accepted this offer

he already knew that Barnes has some power, some potential

which can be unlocked and get applied in real world

this potential can be converted in millions

so He gave him the opportunity

and what Barnes did?

as the Barnes took that product he started selling it in a way that he earned millions of Dollars

and he became a partner of Thomas Edison

and the statement got out there in that time. it was "Invented by Edison and installed by Barnes

that means Edison invents and Barnes installs

a whole phrase got famous and popular

so think of a person which didn't have any realistic resources to reach to the Edison

but he had one thing

which was not in many of those who had resources

that is a burning desire and that to a definite desire

when Barnes started workingwith Ediosn and finally when he got the opportunity

you know what was the time gap between it

it was not a time gap of 5 days or a month. it was a time gap of 5 years

that means Barnes worked there for 5 years as an employee

after 5 years he got an opportunity to work with Edison

that means as a partner with Edison

got an opportunity to work as Business Associate

so just think how he kept alive his definite desire

he was not saying that it's been 1 year and I didn't get any opportunity with Edison

they are not observing my capabilities

he was not creating any thought like this

he was saying one thing to himself all the time

I know I am working with Edison as a partner

it doesn't matter what responsibility I have now one day I will get a great responsibility

if I tell you, it works like a Magic take time to ponder upon it

whenever you will have a definite desire

You will clearly know, what do you want to do really and why?

and it will become your passion for you

and when you will be ready to pay any price for that

provided, whatever things you are deciding it is in a positive direction and in a positive way

whenever you have such desire and you are definite for it and you have passion.

and you are not ready to give-up

you are saying that I am ready to make effort until I get it

so there will be a magical transformation for you in this universe

and it connect your definite desire with you
