JENS BOGREN OUVINDO AS MUSICAS (EN/PT SUBBED) [Making of the New Album Pt. 13] - Duration: 16:30.

- It's usually this D minor here... - It has to be changed.

- Ah, yeah. Okay. - This one fits here.

This is the techinical room of the studio.

There is this great SSL.

It's a G Series, if I am not wrong.

Yes, it is. It's SL 6000 G. G Series.

It's a very cool console. It's iconic.

QSSL is the channel. Or many of them.

There are the monitors Barefoot.

Currently, many of the greatest studios are using them.

And a lot of things here.

Things from API.

Pre from the API, some other things here.

It's also classic.

It's a another classical.

This one I don't know.

This is designed by Rupert Neve.

From Neve consoles.

And also there are these ones.

It's a classical one, too.

Very cool!

And there are also more things.

This one... I don't know what it is. Maybe it is a gate.

And there are more.

It's not enough.

Roland, pay us!

A lot of stuff.

Now we go to the other room, the technical.

Listen to the songs for the first time with Mr. Jens.

And he will give his own impressions.

Help us to improve the arrangements, the structures.

All those things.

The lights went off. We had a kind of problem with the lights here.

The energy is working, everything is working well.

But, Jens is solving the problems about the lights.

So, we are going to open these boxes here.

Boxes from D'Addario and Evans.

And also Pro Mark.

Drums head, drumstick and strings.

We are going to use them on the recording sessions.

It's always good to get these toys and stuff.

So, let's go.

Now, can I do just one more take?

Ok... do it. Do a take of mine.

Go there. Again. Exactly the same.

- I talked facing your camera. - But it was not recording.

Let's do a rehearsal. Let's go.

- So, Felipe, It's... - No, no... wait a moment.

Hey, Rafa!

How are you feeling so isolated?

It's like I am in the closet.

- And you will leave it, won't you? - Yes, for sure.

He will leave the closet some time.

Roland, pay us!

Roland, pay us! Pay us!

- And you, excited? - A lot.

- Today is your first day playing here. - I am excited for that.

- The first time. It's dark... - Yes, it is.

There were some problems withh the lights here. It's gonna be ok for tomorrow.

But it's nice, isn't it?

- It's good. - There is a good atmosphere.

That's just bad to record.

It's an interesting atmosphere.

- I think we could do the third and fifth. - I was doing F, E and Db.

Yes.

- It's gonna work. - Yes?

- Play once more. - Once more, again and better.

We are getting up now. It's 8:30. Having some breakfast,

getting ready for the first time of recordings.

Today we are going to record the drums.

And then, isn't that true?

Yes. It's true. You said the truth.

- Are you excited? - Really.

You can check this by the tone he's speaking. He's so excited.

I woke up excited.

Well, if you are not excited, let's open the windows, man.

Let the sun come in.

Let the life come inside.

Look... Look at it.

The lights must be turned on.

The fact is that we are feelings the effects of the jet lag.

A lot of it.

Yeah.

That one, the special one.

Jens told us to be ready at 9:00.

So, man...

For real, isn't it a pre?

- It depends on what he... - There are four songs yet.

Felipe is answering, but he's naked.

So, we are going to censor this moment.

So we have...

We are going to finish five songs. Five or six.

And then, Bruno starts to record.

Actually, no. Saying the truth, we don't know if he will start to record today.

It's not a confirmed info.

Let's stop with this lie?

Let's be honest!

- Actually this video... - Let's say the truth.

When this video goes online, we may not be alive. We don't know.

Life is uncertain.

Let me fix this here...

Today is the day number four?

Already?

It's tuesday today. We got here on friday.

We actually worked on saturday, sunday, monday...

Today is our fourth day of work.

Time flies.

Time flies when you are... doing what you love.

Yeah.

Art is involving.

We are... We are...

Someone is in underpants here.

It's nightshirts, actually.

Man, there will be a lot of comments.

Totem in underpants.

It's not for the weak hearts.

- You've got to follow your ears. - Yes.

Actually, it's a 7 and a 4.

1,2,3,4,5,6 and 7. 1,2,3, and 4.

It is, but you have to...

Now, talk about the song we just played.

It's a good song, uh?

A song that for now is called Magic Love. I promise it won't be called like that.

Magic Love is impossible. Let's say the truth.

But the song...

The song is great!

It's a song...

It's heavy and dense.

It's has a chorus that is a little happy, but sudden...

I don't know if happy is the feeling.

- I'd say hopeful. - Hopeful.

- Yeah. - Yeah.

So, when there is hope we feel a little happier.

I don't know if there is a connection.

Of course yes.

Today there is.

Let's say that today yes?

The belt is broken. That's bad.

- What a pity. - Yeah.

Fortunately you have more.

It's not... It's metal.

Laugh 'cuz this was a joke.

Look the woods in this snare.

Gosh!

It's something, uh?

What about this snare? Talk about it.

That's a Reference from Pearl.

It has 16... From 16 to 19 wooden sheet. Take it!

There is blended maple, birch and mahogany.

Do you think that you are going to use this snare to record?

No, I don't think so.

I think I am going to use a snare with more metal, aluminum...

This way there will be a crunch.

You know, that cutting. Smack.

And why are you using it, then?

Because it is an option. I didn't change the drums head, yet.

We are on the pre production.

And it is a good option. It's has an amazing sound.

But, perhaps, for a song it will be useful.

Got it.

Its sound is very open, isn't it?

Yes, it is.

But also it has that up...

I have never seen a snare with so much wood like that.

Yes... But, just Pearl can do it.

It's heavy.

Hey, Pearl...

Pay us!

Look the key.

Is your key Roland?

It's Pearl.

It's Pearl... Pay us!

We wrote some lyrics from the song.

How's that? Sing it.

The Lover Doctor.

The Lover Doctor...

The Lover Doctor.

Medic Lover, man.

This is the translation.

I just translated to Portuguese.

There was the old one. The Magic and Lover.

The etymology of the words comes from the humid wood.

Ah... I caught that.

You are proud of your explanation.

Yes, I am.

Few people know that, Felipe.

- Yes, I agree. - Few people know.

How does it start?

With the wooden snare.

No... yes, of course.

The wood.

The first structure wood made was humid.

The first wood to be humid was the...

Snare drums.

It doesn't work here in Sweden.

In Brazil you just press and it goes green.

Look that.

You're hard, man.

Sweden is has changed a lot.

That's true.

What happened?

For instance, someone stole the trash can of the studio.

Yeah.. but that's fine because nothing important was stolen.

He has a lot of expensive stuff.

But here in Sweden the thief steals garbage.

So, he can do it at will.

The problem is what you want to keep it there.

In Brazil.

And also, if you steal just the garbage, let the trash can behind. It's better.

The guy is so evolved that he steals trash to recycle.

He says "I won't let it accumulate. I'll recycle it".

"I am bad".

I am here.

A wonderful journey.

Wonderful.

Well, time to sleep.

He was sleeping...

Procurement Guidance: Off-Site Procurement Review Process - Duration: 20:12.

Welcome to the California Department of Education's video, Off-site Procurement Review Process.

My name is Courtney Hardoin, and I am a Nutrition Education Consultant in the Nutrition Services

Division at the California Department of Education, which I will refer to as the CDE throughout this video.

In California, all school food authorities, or SFAs, will have a periodic procurement

review conducted by in-house CDE staff.

The purpose of this training is to help SFAs learn how to be successful in the procurement review.

The objectives of this training video are to assist SFAs to:

1. Understand the purpose and frequency of the off-site procurement review

2. Learn what information the SFA must provide in the SFA Procurement Table

3. Identify which documents the SFA must submit to the CDE, and

4. Provide SFAs with step-by-step instructions on the review process

Throughout this video, I will reference helpful Web pages to assist SFAs with the procurement

review process.

To access these Web pages, please select the Show More tab, directly below this video.

Procurement, which means buying goods and services, is a significant responsibility of the SFA.

Procurement rules ensure that:

• Taxpayer dollars are used effectively and efficiently;

• SFAs are receiving goods and services that meet the school's needs at the best price; and,

• There is no waste or abuse.

Regulations require that all purchases made by SFAs, whether funded wholly or in part

with child nutrition program, or CNP, funds, comply with all federal, state and local procurement regulations.

To ensure this, the federal regulations require state agencies to monitor SFA's procurement practices.

So how often will the CDE perform an off-site procurement review?

The frequency with which the CDE will perform an off-site procurement review will depend

on the agency type.

The CDE will perform an off-site procurement review a minimum of once every three years

for all SFAs that contract with a Food Service Management Company (or FSMC), Residential

Child Care Institutions (or RCCI), private schools, and camps.

These agency types will typically receive the off-site procurement review during the

same year that they are scheduled for an administrative review, or AR.

The CDE will perform an off-site procurement review a minimum of once every six years for

all public school districts, charter schools, and county offices of education operating

without an FSMC contract.

These agency types will typically receive the off-site procurement review every other

time they are scheduled for an AR.

It is important for the SFAs to note that the procurement review is based on the prior school year.

For example, reviews conducted in school year 2017-18 will assess procurements made in school

year 2016-17.

To assist state agencies with performing the off-site procurement review, the U.S. Department

of Agriculture, or USDA, developed a Procurement Review Tool, which I will refer to as Tool

throughout this video. CDE staff will use the Tool to:

1. Evaluate the SFA's procurement procedures

2. Assess the SFA's compliance with applicable federal and state procurement regulations and laws;

3. Establish findings and corrective actions (which are nonfiscal), if needed; and

4. Capture technical assistance provided to the SFA

The steps in the review process are listed on this slide.

Phase one includes steps one through three, highlighted in green.

This is the pre-review phase.

In this phase, the CDE notifies the SFA that they are scheduled for an off-site procurement

review and the SFA completes and submits to the CDE all required pre-review documentation

by the due date.

Phase two includes steps four through six, highlighted in blue.

This is the review phase.

In this phase, the CDE determines which procurements to select for review, requests the SFA to

submit procurement documents related to the selected procurements, and conducts the off-site

procurement review.

Phase three includes steps seven through nine, highlighted in red.

This is the closing phase.

In this phase, the CDE and SFA work together to close the review.

We will now review each step in detail.

Let's begin with phase 1, steps 1-3: the pre-review phase.

In Step 1, the CDE notifies the SFAs that are scheduled to receive an off-site procurement

review by e-mail in the beginning of the school year.

The e-mail will include information about downloading Form PRU 01, SFA Procurement Table,

and Form PRU 02, Vendor Paid List Instructions, accessible in the Download Forms section of

the Child Nutrition Information and Payment System, or CNIPS.

The e-mail will also include a link to procurement review resources, a list of documents that

the SFA must submit to the CDE, the due date, and the e-mail that the SFA will use to electronically

provide these documents to the CDE.

For assistance with downloading documents from the Download Forms section of the CNIPS,

please contact the CNIPS Help Desk by phone at 800-952-5609, Option 6,

or by e-mail at CNIPS@cde.ca.gov.

In Step 2, the SFA will complete the SFA Procurement Table, which is a fillable spreadsheet where

the SFA enters the required procurement information.

The SFA will use their Vendor Paid List (or summary of expenditures) from the prior school

year to assist them with completing the SFA Procurement Table.

This is a snapshot of the SFA Procurement Table.

As you can see, there are two tabs at the bottom of the Excel spreadsheet: an Instructions

tab and the Procurement Table tab.

The SFA will first read the information provided in the Instructions tab to learn what information

to provide in each section of the SFA Procurement Table.

SFAs will then enter the required information into the Procurement Table tab using a

Vendor Paid List (or summary of expenditures).

The SFA Procurement Table is divided into two parts.

At the top of the SFA Procurement Table, there are four required sections that the SFA must complete.

1. Name of the SFA and the five-digit CNIPS Identification, or ID number.

For example, ABC Public School District, CNIPS ID number 09542.

2. Procurement Authority, which are the names and information for those individuals involved

with procuring goods and services for the school nutrition program.

For example, the food service director and purchasing manager.

If possible, please include a minimum of two staff that the CDE can contact with questions.

3. Small Purchase Threshold.

In this section, the SFA will select the type of Local Educational Agency, or LEA, using

the drop-down menu; for example, public school district, private school, camp, etc.

Based on the type of LEA selected, the spreadsheet will automatically determine whether the SFA

must adhere to the federal small purchase threshold of $150,000 or the 2016 California

state small purchase threshold of $87,800.

In section three, the SFA will also need to enter their local small purchase threshold, if applicable.

This will inform the CDE if the SFA is required to follow a more restrictive small purchase

threshold than the federal or state threshold; and,

4. Group Purchasing Information.

In this section, the SFA must indicate whether they are involved in group purchasing, such

as a cooperative purchasing organization.

After the SFA completes the four required sections at the top of the SFA Procurement

Table, they will scroll down to the bottom part of the SFA Procurement Table to complete

the Procurements section.

In this section, the SFA selects the procurement or solicitation type from a drop down list.

Depending on the type of procurement selected from the list, the cells that the SFA is required

to complete will be highlighted.

For example, if the SFA selects micropurchase as the procurement type, only cells that relate

to micropurchases, such as how many purchases were made from this vendor during the school

year, are highlighted for the SFA to complete.

There are examples above the Procurements section to assist the SFA with what information

to provide in each of the highlighted cells for each procurement type.

And remember, there are detailed instructions on the Instructions tab of the spreadsheet

to assist the SFA with completing each section and cell in the SFA Procurement Table.

The SFA will enter information about the procurement types listed on this screen in the procurements

section of the Procurement Table.

These include micropurchases (which are purchases equal to or below $3,500), small purchases

(which are typically purchases equal to or below the agency's most restrictive small

purchase threshold), formal contracts (which are typically purchases above the agency's most restrictive

small purchase threshold), FSMC contracts, and processing contracts for USDA Foods.

There is also a Comments column in the Procurement section for information the SFA would like

the CDE to know about a procurement.

Unfortunately, Vendor Paid Lists cannot be provided to the CDE in lieu of the SFA entering

procurement information in the SFA Procurement Table.

Information provided by the SFA in the SFA Procurement Table for each procurement type is detailed.

Vendor Paid Lists only provide aggregate data.

In addition, part of the review includes a cross-check by the CDE of the Vendor Paid

List against the procurements entered into the SFA Procurement Table to ensure all procurements

were included.

I will review the process for submitting the Vendor Paid List in Step 3, the next step

in the process.

In Step 3, the SFA submits the required information to the CDE by the due date listed in the e-mail

notifying the SFA that they are scheduled for a procurement review.

The SFA will e-mail the required information to the e-mail address on the slide, NSDprocurementreview@cde.ca.gov.

The information the SFA is required to submit to the CDE includes the SFA's:

1. Cooperative or group purchasing agreements, if applicable

2. SFA Procurement Table

3. Vendor Paid List, or summary of expenditures, from the prior school year

4. Written code of conduct, and

5. Written procurement procedures SFAs that need assistance with writing the

code of conduct and procurement procedure documents can visit the Resource section of

the CDE Procurement in Child Nutrition Programs Web page at the address listed on the slide.

A checklist of components the SFA may want to include in these documents is included

on this Web page.

Remember, you can select the Show More tab directly below this video to access the link

to this Web page.

For SFAs unfamiliar with the term, Vendor Paid List, this is also referred to as a summary

of expenditures.

It is a report from the SFA's accounting system that identifies all vendors paid from the

nonprofit food service account and summarizes the total amount paid to each vendor for the

period of review.

The SFA must include both the name of the vendor and the total amount paid to the vendor

from the previous school year.

This slide shows an example of what the CDE needs the SFA to include in this report.

It is important to note that the Vendor Paid List provided by the SFAs should only include

vendors who were procured using funds from the nonprofit food service account to purchase

allowable goods and services.

To help SFAs determine which vendors to include and which to exclude, the CDE developed a

Vendor Paid List Instructions document, accessible in the Download Forms section of the CNIPS

(Form PRU 02) or on the Web page listed on this slide.

Here are a few do's and don'ts that SFAs should keep in mind before submitting the Vendor

Paid List to the CDE.

Do: • Include transactions from the previous school year

• List the cumulative amount spent per vendor, and

• Include only vendors paid in full or partially from the nonprofit food service account

Don't: • Include transactions from the current school year

• List the amount spent per invoice • Include vendors not paid from the nonprofit

food service account, or • Include Intergovernmental Agreements.

For example, do not include a procurement where a charter school is receiving vended

meals from a school district, as these are exempt from competitive procurement.

I just covered phase 1, steps 1-3: the pre-review phase.

Now let's cover phase 2, steps 4-6: the review phase.

In Step 4, after reviewing the contracts listed in the SFA Procurement Table, the CDE will

decide which of the SFA procurements (that is, which contracts and/or supporting documents)

they will select for a detailed review.

The CDE will select contracts based on the prioritization included on this slide.

These priorities include: • Only one response received to a solicitation

• Group purchasing/buying or third-party contracts

• Highest-priced contracts, and • Procurements that exceeded the applicable threshold

For example, instances when the micropurchase method was used for a $4,000 procurement,

which exceeds the $3,500 micropurchase threshold.

In Step 5, the CDE will request the contract and supporting documents from the SFA based

on the procurements selected for review in Step 4.

Requested documentation for the off-site review may include the items listed on this slide:

purchase orders, receipts and invoices, solicitation documents (such as specifications, evaluation

criteria, and contract terms and conditions), bidder responses, contracts, cost/price analysis

documentation, and reconciliation of discounts, rebates, and credits.

A detailed list of the types of documentation the CDE may request are included in the Procurement

Review Instructions document, accessible in the Show More tab under this video.

As mentioned previously, the CDE will send the SFA an e-mail with detailed instructions

on how to submit these requested documents and the due dates.

In Step 6, the CDE reviews the contract(s) and supporting documents submitted by the

SFA and answers the review questions included in the Tool.

These questions address general procurement (for example the SFA's code of conduct and

procurement procedure documents), micropurchases, small purchases, formal procurements, FSMC

contracts, and USDA Foods processing contracts.

SFAs may access the list of review questions in the Tool by visiting the CDE Procurement

in Child Nutrition Programs Web page listed on this slide.

I have reviewed what to expect in phase 1, steps

1-3: the pre-review phase and phase 2, steps 4-6, the review phase.

So what's next?

That would be phase 3, steps 7-9, the closing phase.

In Step 7, the CDE has completed the review and provides a report to the SFA.

If there were no findings, then the procurement review is closed.

In cases where there are findings, the CDE provides technical assistance and/or issues

corrective action.

An example of corrective action would require that the SFA revise their written code of

conduct to meet federal regulations.

More serious findings may result in the following: • The SFA is required to rebid the contract

• The CDE places a hold on the SFA's reimbursement, or

• Other appropriate action determined by the CDE

Step 8 would only occur if there were findings.

In this step, the SFA would submit issued Corrective Action Documentation, or CAD, to

the CDE for review and approval within 30 days of the CDE's issuance.

Assuming the CDE accepted the CAD, the review is closed in Step 9.

The CDE will work diligently with SFAs to complete the review on time.

However, in cases where the SFA is not responsive (for example, they do not submit the required

documentation after multiple attempts and technical assistance provided by the CDE),

the CDE may do one or more of the following: • Withhold reimbursement

• Remove the SFA from the status of Good Standing, or

• Take other appropriate action determined by the CDE

Several procurement resources to assist SFAs with following proper procurement procedures

and practices are listed on this slide.

They include: • The USDA Food and Nutrition Service School Meals

Policy Web page, which is where you can find Policy Memo SP-39-2017,

Local Agency Procurement Reviews for SFAs

• The CDE Procurement in Child Nutrition Programs Web page

• The Institute of Child Nutrition Procurement in the 21st Century Web page, and

• Title 2, CFR, Part 200, which include

the majority of the federal procurement regulations

Ain't it something When you say you

Wanna be that Don't you want to

I done heard lots of things in my life but I never heard that much about you

Though you talk like you know what you're talking about

I don't know if I like you

I done had lots of things on my mind but I never thought that much about you

Though you seem like you might be somebody to them

I don't think that' I'd like to

Ain't it something When you say you

Wanna be that Don't you want to

Don't it seem strange When you say you

Wanna be that Don't you want to

9 More Obvious Traits You're an Extroverted Introvert - Duration: 5:17.

9 More Obvious Traits You're an Extroverted Introvert.

Not all introverts or extroverts are identical.

You might see a bit of yourself, or you may think that your introverted or extroverted

friends are nothing like this".

There isn't a solid and absolute definition since people have different degrees of introversion

or extroversion.

So, in other words, extroversion and introversion isn't an either or type of thing.

It's a spectrum and you can lie anywhere along that spectrum.

For an extroverted introvert, we happen to be very close to the middle and even flip-flop

between the two.

We can be an outgoing person just like extrovert, and yet we desperately need our alone time.

I know, it's confusing.

Some of us learned to become more extroverted because we realize that the basis of human

nature is grounded in interacting with each other, it's kind of unavoidable.

To relieve you of some confusion, in this video I'm going to show you 9 more obvious

traits you're an extroverted introvert.

Before we start, make sure to like this video and subscribe our channel so you won't miss

any interesting update in the future guys.

1.

Because we can be outgoing and calculated at the same time, sometimes we end up being

leaders.

But that does not mean we want praise, nor do we want to talk about how great we are.

People seem to think that we're fit to be leaders.

We can stand up and talk in front of crowds when we need to.

We can make decisions when we need to.

But we often analyze ourselves and don't think highly of our skill sets.

Sometimes we don't believe we're good enough to lead.

We always think we can be better so praise often makes us cringe.

2.

We bounce between wanting to be noticed for our hard work to panicking over the thought

of somebody else paying more than 30 seconds of attention to us.

Sometimes we want attention, other times it's hard to believe anyone would spend more than

10 seconds on us.

3.

People think we're flirtatious.

We're not.

We understand that interacting with people is a necessary part of life.

So we make an effort to do it intentionally, and genuinely want people to know that they

have our undivided interest and attention.

4.

We get mad at ourselves for wanting to stay in and letting our friends down.

Which is why we sometimes force ourselves to go out.

To let our friends know that we enjoy spending time with them, not because we want to be

out.

5.

We're at our happiest in places like coffee shops and cafés: surrounded by people, but

still closed off and keeping to yourself.

We just like being around people, even if they're strangers.

It's the compromise of being around people but not having to talk to them.

6.

We have a constant inner struggle of controlling our introverted side.

It's frustrating because we'll realize when we start withdrawing into our own minds

and become extremely introspective.

It happens when we're in really big crowds.

And the only thought is, "Oh no, it's happening.

No.

I have to talk to someone now.

But it's so difficult.

No.

Yes, you have to talk or else you're going to end up in your head for the rest of the

night."

7.

We really don't like small talk.

We'd avoid small talk if we could.

We want to really get to know you.

We want to know what you think about, what your goals are, what your family is like.

We don't want to talk about how bad the weather is.

But if that's what you're comfortable talking about, then we'll talk about it.

8.

We don't actually have a staple "group" of friends.

We often pick and choose one or two individuals from different social groups that make up

our closest friends.

But we make this handful of best friends our life and we'd do anything for them.

9.

If we like you, we really like you.

We're extremely picky about who we spend our time and energy on.

If we've hung out multiple times, take it as a compliment.

Seriously.

If it's such a struggle to talk to people and if we get so exhausting going out, it's

a big deal if we're willing to spend our time and energy with you.

It isn't to say that we're full of ourselves.

We just wouldn't want to spend that energy with people whose company we don't enjoy.

Well, that's the obvious traits you're an extroverted introvert.

No matter if you are an introvert or extrovert, or somewhere between them, let us know if

there are any other qualities you think an extroverted introvert person possess!

So, really cool information isn't it?

Why is GERMANY such an INDUSTRIAL LEADER? – VisualPolitik EN - Duration: 12:04.

Ahhh Germany.

It's the place where BMW, Ramstein, and FKK (nudist) culture, and BMW cars were born.

Nevertheless, Germany has something even more important than all of that and that is that

it is the world's ultimate factory.

Yep, you heard that right… and I know what you are thinking…

"Isn't China the country where TV screens, mobile phones and, practically, every good

we buy is made?"

Well, that's not entirely true.

Now, of course, China does lead the charge when it comes to exports.

But… do you know what?

In order to manufacture all those products, they need to import a lot of things from abroad.

Germany, instead, sells way more that what it buys.

In fact, 1 of every 10 products sold on the international market is made in this country

which has a population 15 times smaller than China.

Yes, we all know those big car companies: BMW, Audi or VOLKSWAGEN…

But there is way more than that!

Don't you believe me?

Well, consider you mobile phone.

Sure, I know it says right there 'Assembled in the People's Republic of China' or

something similar.

But, and I'm not recommending this, but if you did open it up you are going to find

a lot of microchips…

As an example here , the little chip that makes your screen rotate when you move the

phone is made, most likely, by a German company called BOSCH SENSORTECH.

But not only that!

Many of the robots used inside these Chinese factories assembling the phones are probably

made in Germany.

In other words, in Germany, they manufacture the things that go inside of the things manufactured

by others.

And now you might be wondering…

How is that possible?

Factories should be built in places with cheap labour costs, right?

I mean how is that possible that Germany, with relatively high salaries, is such an

industrial powerhouse?

Well, today, we are going to answer that question.

But before we do, let's take a look back at history...

ORDOLIBERALISM

After World War II, Europe was pretty darn destroyed.

Countries like Italy, France and Western Germany (which was the capitalist side of Germany),

got a massive money grant from their beloved friend, Uncle Sam.

But wait a minute because each of those countries used that money in really different ways!

The French president, for instance, was this guy you see on the screen.

General Charles de Gaulle.

De Gaulle came from the military and was no friend of private companies.

His political creed, the so-called DIRIGISME, was about nationalizing big businesses and

leading the whole country's economy as if it was an army!

In Western Germany they choose a different path...

Both the Chancellor KONRAD ADENAUER and his finance minister, LUDWIG ERHARD, spent years

thinking about their own economic system.

A mixture between the competition of free market capitalism and the safety net provided

by the government.

Then they decided to give this system the worst name ever...

They called it ORDOLIBERALISM or SOCIAL MARKET ECONOMY.

"Competition is the most promising means to achieve and secure prosperity"—Ludwig

Erhard

In other words…

While De Gaulle centralized the economy in Paris, Konrad Adenauer designed a system where

the government would put into place a set of conditions, but the other players would

make their own decisions.

This explains why in Germany, trade unions, regional governments and, of course, companies,

are so important.

And now you might be wondering…

What are the keys for that system to work?

And has it really worked out?

Well let's get right into that.

AN STABLE CURRENCY

I'm pretty sure you've heard at some point some economist saying that devaluing a currency

boosts exports, right?

For instance, imagine we have a shoe manufacturing facility in Mexico and we want to sell a pair

of shoes to the American market.

Let's say, the price for those shoes is 2000 Mexican Pesos.

At the time we are making this video those 200 pesos equal to 110 USD.

But let's say that, all of a sudden, the Mexican Central Bank decides to print money

and, therefore, devalue its currency.

From one day to the next, that pair of shoes could be worth 90 USD.

Therefore, it would be easier to sell it abroad.

This is a theory supported by most governments today.

Nevertheless, the German Government did exactly the opposite.

During the second half of the 20th century the GERMAN MARK became one of the most stable

currency on the planet.

And this might lead you to wonder…

How is it possible that Germany could export so much when their products are not that cheap?

Well… let's get back to the shoes example.

But this time I'm going to tell you the story of a real company.

This is a company from the North of Germany and it's called DESMA.

It is a SME with around 200 staff.

They started out right after the war in 1946, and they specialized in making machines for

shoe manufacturing.

In order to do this, they needed to import lots of machines from the United States.

Thanks to having a stable currency, the price for importing those machines was relatively

low.

They decided to rent a facility - at the end of the day, since there was no inflation,

rents would not go up, and they could calculate the future cost reliably.

But not only that!

Since German companies couldn't offer lower prices, DESMA had to innovate.

In 1960, they invested in state of the art technologies to manufacture rubber-made soles.

Ten years later, DESMA was the world leader in machines to make PVC soles.

It's likely that the sole of the shoes you are wearing today was made with a DESMA machine.

This company, with 200 staff, sells to every country in the world... including China.

And this is just one example of the thousands of small and medium sized companies, the so-called

MITTELSTAND, that made up Germany.

And yes, I know, I know...

In 2002, the Germans abandoned the Mark and adopted the EURO as their currency.

But think about it… while other countries like Spain were using weaker currencies before,

Germany had had a strong currency for decades.

That means, that in 2002, German companies were already more competitive than anyone

else's.

But hold on a minute because there are many other things that can explain the success

of the German model, so let's dig into those now.

THE EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM

I know what you are going to say now…

Come on, Simon!

Germany isn't really famous for its educational system!

Just check out the PISA report...

Germany is not even in the top 10!

But then again, German students can find a job right after they finish their studies.

So, why is this?

Well, the the answer is in their vocational training system.

Let's imagine that you are high school student in Germany and you don't want to go to university.

So instead you study to become a plumber.

Well… from the first moment, you are already working for a company which has an arrangement

with the school.

This means, from Monday to Wednesday, you go to a classroom and from Thursday to Friday,

you go the company's workshop.

There, you would be trained by the experience plumbers and you would even get a small salary

of between 300 or 500 dollars a month.

And this salary is pretty important...

The simple fact that the company is paying means the employer has to make the students

work.

Otherwise, the firm will be throwing money away...

And the outcome of this is that German students know how it is to be in a real life working

environment.

In fact, many of them remain in the company where they did their training.

And, of course, those German firms, in exchange, get well trained workers.

And now that we are talking about workers, let's talk about another key piece on the

German system...

GERMAN TRADE UNIONS

In other countries like France or Spain, most of the labour laws are made by parliament.

But not so in Germany.

Until 2015, Germans didn't even have a minimum wage...

Salaries were negotiated by trade unions and employers.

In Germany, syndicates are extremely important.

Actually, those big companies like AUDI or BMW, with more than 2000 workers, are required

to have union representatives on their administrative board.

Consider this: Siemens has 10 shareholder representatives on their board and, therefore,

they must have 10 people representing the workers!

Remember this one because it makes a big difference!

In Spain, for instance, a big company like TELEFONICA has no trade union representatives

on their board of administration.

Trade unions can only participate in another body called the "company council".

And they can only speak about matters that affect salaries or working conditions.

By contrast, in Germany, trade unions have a voice on every decision the company makes.

When SIEMENS wants to start operating in a new market, or launch a new product, they

have to ask the shareholders… and the trade unions.

And now you might be wondering…

Is this just bad news for the companies?

We pretty much take for granted that unions are the enemy of a company, right?

Well, it doesn't have to be that way...

Think about it.

Thanks to this set up, SIEMENS and BMW workers know whether if the company is making or losing

money.

And, of course, when things are going bad for the company, they can make compromises,

like reducing their working hours instead of being fired.

"Opel to cut working hours at German facilities"

This explains why during the financial crisis of 2008, German companies didn't fire a

large number of people.

And this is good for the workers and the company.

But wait a minute because I know what you are thinking!

Those German trade unions are collaborating with big capitalists in order to exploit the

workers!

Right?

Right?

Well… the answer there is certainly NO.

The reality is that average wage in Germany is around $3,400 dollars a month.

That's higher than the state of New York!

And that's in a country with a pretty affordable cost of living.

A flat in Berlin is half the price of a flat in New York City.

And despite all of this Germany maintains its position as the third biggest country

when it comes to exports.

So now the question is…

Do you believe your country could benefit from the German model?

Or perhaps you think these policies are impossible to implement elsewhere?

Please, leave your answers on the comment section below!

Trump Interview Right After 9/11 Shows The Truth | Top Stories Today - Duration: 4:16.

After the terrorist attacks on 9/11, we were stunned,

there is no doubt about that.

A recently uncovered interview of now-President Trump from back in 2001 shows a side of him

that the Democrats don't want anyone to see.

The interview took place just two days after the attacks.

Smoke was still billowing out from Lower Manhattan, and the smell of soot and ash was in the air.

It was here that Trump vowed that now, the goal is to find survivors from that fateful

day.

He didn't stop there, he then went on to talk about what America needs

to do next, "It's like a

whole

different city and world," Trump reflected.

Jeep Wrangler Mean Mother EDGE Series Winch 12,000 lb. Review & Install - Duration: 6:56.

This Mean Mother EDGE Series 12,000 pound winch with synthetic rope is for those of

you that have a 1987 and up Wrangler and you're looking to add a very strong winch onto your

Jeep.

This winch has a slightly larger body and is a little bit heavier than some of the other

ones on the market even though it has the synthetic line because it is very well built

and it is very strong.

Now, it's not going to be as strong as some of those winches out there that have an integrated

solenoid over the top.

That's a little bit more of a one piece design but this is going to be very beefy as far

as a winch goes and for that, you are going to have to spend a little bit more money.

This is one of the more expensive winches that we have.

Now, the general rule of thumb for pulling power is that you want your winch to be rated

at about one and a half times your loaded trail weight of your weight of your Jeep.

So, if you have a big heavy four door JK, you're probably going to want to go with 12,000

pounds.

If you have a lighter two door, not as much armor, you're not planning on getting buried

up to the axles in mud, you can probably get away with a slightly lower pulling power on

your winch and save you a few dollars there.

Now, one of the big differentiating factors between this winch and a lot of the other

ones that are less expensive is the fact that this has the synthetic line on it.

Now, synthetic line is beneficial for a couple of different reasons.

One, while it will still stretch under a load like a steel cable will, it doesn't store

that energy so if the line were to snap, it'll just fall harmlessly to the ground instead

of snapping back causing damage to your vehicle or worse causing injury to somebody in the

surrounding area.

Now, a synthetic line also isn't going to kink up and it's going to be very light weight

which makes it a lot easier to drag up a muddy hill to the tree you have to winch to or otherwise

just move around spool in, spool out.

Now the only downside, if you want to call it that, to a synthetic line is that it's

not quite as robust.

It's not quite as maintenance free as a steel cable is.

You are going to have to replace a synthetic line more often than you would a steel line

and even though the newer synthetic lines aren't as susceptible to damage from UV light

as some of the earlier lines are, this is still going to be a little bit more susceptible

to abrasions or just generally wearing out from being dirty and being under normal use.

So, you are going to have to keep this a little bit cleaner than you would steel and replace

it a little bit more often and when you do replace it, it's going to be more expensive

than a steel line.

So, a couple of things to consider there.

All in all, I do still prefer a synthetic line to a steel line because of the safety

and the ease of use.

In general, this is going to be a very well-built winch.

It's going to be a very high-quality winch.

It does come with the synthetic line and Hawse Fairlead for the synthetic line so it's a

very nice package but, as I said before, it is going to be a little bit more expensive

than some of the other options out there.

So, like I said, this is a very strong bodied winch.

It does have a separate solenoid pack, like most other winches out there.

You can mount this in a couple of different locations.

Right up on top here, you can remote mount it.

You can do a couple of different things with that solenoid pack but it does have to be

mounted pretty close to the winch.

That's going to be what your remote control plugs into.

This does have a wired remote which is pretty standard.

There are some winches out there these days that are coming with a wireless remote.

That lets you be a little bit further away from the winch during the actual winching

process which is a little bit safer.

But this is going to come with a wired remote with a nice long line on it so you can still

get well out of the danger zone of the winch while you are using it and it is a nice rubber

coated remote because usually they're just going to get tossed in the back of the Jeep.

They're going to get bounced around so there's rubber coated and the switch on it has a really

nice positive engagement feel so it does seem that this is going to hold up for a good long

time.

Again, very well built like the rest of this package.

Now, this winch actually produces a little bit less horse power than some of the other

winches, even less expensive winches on the market.

Now, the reason for that is this is going to pull a little bit less power from your

Jeep because it has a little bit less horse power.

So that's certainly going to be a good thing.

If you are winching in a scenario where your Jeep is not running, of course you are only

going to be able to winch as long as your battery is good and without the Jeep running,

you're not recharging the battery so that little bit of a less power draw is going to

be a good thing.

Now, where this makes up for that slightly less horsepower is going to be in the gearing.

This is going to have a lower gear ratio or a numerically higher gear ratio which is going

to allow it to be a very, very strong pull and pull a ton of weight even with the slightly

less power.

For the installation, this is going to be a pretty simple one out of three wrench install.

It's going to take you probably about an hour to get it bolted up to your Jeep and all you're

going to need is a socket set and a winch plate or a winch ready bumper.

Of course, you're going to need that for any winch out there.

That's not specific to this winch.

You're always going to have to have a winch ready bumper or a winch plate in order to

bolt this onto and have the strength you need to use this for recoveries.

So, the first step is really going to be getting the winch mounted up to your Jeep, bolting

it on to that bumper, bolting it on to that winch mounting plate.

Go ahead and mount your solenoid pack and connect all the wires that go to the winch

body itself as well as feeding the rest of the wires, there's two of them, that goes

from the solenoid pack up through the grill, follow along the inside of the fender and

get connected onto the battery.

And that's really the only place you're making any electrical connections, is those two wires

that go up to the battery and the shorter leads that go from the solenoid pack to the

winch body itself.

So, even if you're not somebody who's comfortable with automotive wiring, this is going to be

a pretty easy install for you.

After that, you do have the Hawse Fairlead that you're going to mount onto whatever fairlead

mount you have on your Jeep.

You can pull the synthetic line through attach the clevis hook onto it and make sure you

throw your remote in your glove box so you're ready to go whenever you need your winch.

So, like I said, this is going to be a more expensive winch than some of the other ones

out there.

This comes in at right around $850.

It is going to be a very strong winch, it has a lower power draw due to the lower horse

power but still tons of strength due the gear ratio that's built into it, so it does have

some things going for it.

Now, if you're looking for a specifically water proof winch, there are some of those

out there that are going to be a little bit less expensive than this.

If you want an integrated solenoid pack, again there are those versions out there probably

a little bit less expensive than this but if you're just looking for a very high-quality

winch with the synthetic line that's going to be very strong, I think that this is going

to be a nice option as long as you have a higher budget.

So, if you're looking for a premium, very high-quality winch and you have a higher budget,

I definitely recommend taking a look at this one from Mean Mother and you can find it right

here at extremeterrain.com.

The Best Worst Stephen King Movies | NowThis Nerd - Duration: 10:55.

Hey Constant Readers, I'm Andrew, and I'm blown away by the sheer volume of Stephen King movies.

Including 'It,' there are over 40 films based on his books.

And that's not even counting the sequels, TV, and direct-to-video stuff.

In the forty years since Brian DePalma's 'Carrie,' there have been some incredible movies made out of his novels.

But for every 'Shining' or 'Stand By Me,' there's a 'Silver Bullet' or 'Cell.'

Even some of Hollywood's most talented filmmakers have had a hard time bringing King to the screen.

And some of these movies have a bad rep that's not entirely deserved.

So let's talk about some of the best worst Stephen King movies.

Starting with John Carpenter's 'Christine.'

The titular 1958 Plymouth Fury is probably more famous than her movie, since

she shows up as an easter egg in a ton of other Stephen King adaptations.

You can see her in 'Cat's Eye,' '11.22.63,' and 'The Dark Tower,'

She's even in the trailer for 'Ready Player One' and got a shout-out in 'Regular Show.'

'Ello guvnor!

So what's her deal?

The film doesn't really explain it, she's been killing people literally since she rolled off the factory floor.

Eventually a nerdy kid named Arnie buys her rusty husk off of Old Man Marley.

Her name's Christine.

I like that.

Next thing you know, the possessed car murders the bullies who messed with him and anyone else who gets in their way.

And it all ends in a car vs. bulldozer brawl.

'Christine' was Carpenter's followup to 'The Thing,'

which is a classic now, but at the time it was a critical and financial failure.

Carpenter needed a hit, so he jumped at the chance to adapt Stephen King's hot new novel about a haunted car.

He wasn't really feeling it, though.

In interviews, he talks about how 'Christine' was just a gig for him.

But even phoning it in, Carpenter still delivers on the action and atmosphere.

And his synthesizer score is right up there with the best of his classic soundtracks.

The movie is decent enough on its own, but the awesome music puts it over the top.

If you want to see another horror icon come at the King, check out 'The Mangler.'

It's based on King's 1972 short story about a possessed laundry machine that feasts on the blood of virgins.

Now, I'm not talking about a Whirlpool of blood or a Maytag of mayhem,

The Mangler is a massive steam press built to fold sheets, and humans, as flat as possible.

The movie was directed by the recently departed Tobe Hooper, the man behind 'Poltergeist' and 'The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

The original story is only a few pages long, so he had to get creative to fill the runtime.

First, he threw in a possessed refrigerator because why the hell not.

If you've got any trouble fleshing out a screenplay just throw in a haunted refridgerator.

Then he cast Robert Englund as a crazy old man who wants to feed his niece to the Mangler in exchange for wealth and power.

Accept this blood of my blood. Because I am signing off!

And the movie keeps finding convoluted ways for people to get eaten by this huge, immobile machine.

At least, until the end when it tears itself free and starts chasing Buffalo Bill around.

Honestly, as far as movies about satanic industrial equipment go, you could do a lot worse.

I am investigating a laundry machine with a bad case of demon possession, and I need to examine you to determine whether you're a virgin.

It's got a pretty fun cast, there's gore a-plenty,

And apparently enough people liked it to warrant a 'Mangler' franchise.

This movie has two sequels!

The creatively titled Mangler 2, and the Mangler Reborn.

To round out our trifecta of King and classic horror directors, let's check out George A. Romero's 'The Dark Half.'

For some odd reason, Stephen King likes to write stories where the hero is a famous author. Who would have thunk it.

'The Dark Half' is about Thad Beaumont, a high-falutin literary type who wrote gruesome crime thrillers under the pen name "George Stark."

That's not my book. Isn't it?

No, look here.

The picture's a phony! The name too, George Stark. Phony!

Unlike King, Beaumont had a psychic fetus living in his brain that brought his murderous evil alter-ego to life.

Other than that, they're pretty similar.

For years, King published some of his more twisted novels under the pen name "Richard Bachman."

And after the secret was exposed, he wrote 'The Dark Half' to explore his feelings about the whole ordeal.

The movie was George Romero's second collaboration with King, after the awesome horror anthology 'Creepshow.'

Look! An authentic voodoo doll! Somebody already sent for it.

It's one of Romero's only films where he actually got a decent budget and studio backing.

Unfortunately, it underperformed at the box-office and killed his chance at a mainstream career.

He wouldn't make another movie until 'Bruiser,' seven years later.

But 'The Dark Half' is a cool glimpse at what kind of films Romero would have made if he'd taken a more conventional path.

Up next, we've got 2003's 'Dreamcatcher.'

It's about a group of friends who meet every year for a hunting trip in, where else, the woods of Maine.

And they run smack into the middle of an invasion of alien shit-weasels.

Basically, instead of bursting through your chest like a capital-A Alien,

These nasty little worms explode out of your butt.

And things just get crazier from there.

Lord, I will never drink again.

Donnie Wahlberg plays the least convincing mentally handicapped character since Ben Stiller,

Damian Lewis gets hilariously possessed by an smooth-talking alien intelligence,

And we even get to see Morgan Freeman playing against type as a psychopathic soldier.

Scout's honor.

Stop your bleating, laddy-buck! You just avoided a court-martial boy, next time you'll face a firing squad.

The talent isn't just in front of the camera, either.

It's directed by Lawrence Kasdan.

From 'Raiders,' to 'Empire' to 'Jedi,' this guy basically wrote my entire childhood.

He did 'The Force Awakens,' too, and he's allegedly responsible for getting Lord and Miller shitcanned from the 'Han Solo' movie.

But he didn't write 'Dreamcatcher.'

That honor fell to William goddamn Goldman.

The Academy Award-winning writer of 'All the President's Men' and 'The Princess Bride,' one of my favorite movies.

Inconceivable!

And he even did the screenplay for 'Misery,' one of the greatest King adaptations ever.

Please! [SCREAMS]

So how did 'Dreamcatcher' wind up such a disaster?

[FARTS]

This one probably has more to do with the source material.

It's the first novel King wrote after he was hit by a van in 1999.

He was in so much pain that he wrote the entire thing in cursive because it hurt too much to type.

Also, he was stoned out of his goddamn mind on Oxycodone, and it definitely shows.

But if you're a fan of the over-the-top, unrestrained madness of King at his kookiest,

You've got to see 'Dreamcatcher.'

We're helpless. We're dying.

Fire at will!!!

Actually, if you want to see King's insanity in high gear, look no further than 'Maximum Overdrive.'

It's his first and thankfully last attempt at directing his own movie.

Based on his short story 'Trucks,' this one continues the theme of inanimate objects murdering everyone in sight.

For my 307th book... Uh... This couple is attacked by, uh... A lamp monster! Oooh!

After Earth passes through the tail of a comet, every machine on the planet comes to life and turns against their squishy human overlords.

Eventually, a group of survivors get trapped inside a truck stop under siege by slaughtering semis.

Emilio Estevez stars alongside a cast of pure '90s perfection.

That's a spicy '90s meatball.

You've got Pat Hingle, basically the worst Commissioner Gordon ever.

Giancarlo Esposito shows up to get owned by an arcade machine.

And if this irritating newlywed sounds familiar,

What is going on?! I don't know!

That's Yeardley Smith, just a year before she was cast as Lisa Simpson.

If anyone wants me I'll be in my room.

'Maximum Overdrive' is a hilarious experience, as long as you don't take it super seriously.

Where else can you see a little leaguer crushed by a steamroller,

A guy beaten to death by a soda machine,

Or an ATM call Stephen King an asshole?

This machine just called me an asshole!

Look, if the AC/DC soundtrack or the giant Green Goblin mask on the main evil truck didn't clue you in,

This film's tongue is firmly planted in its cheek.

King is a pretty self-deprecating guy, and he's got a good sense of humor about his books and their wildly inconsistent adaptations.

Unless you're talking about 'The Shining.'

So far, 'It' is blowing everyone away, and when the dust settles it might find a place alongside the best Stephen King movies.

I can't say the same for these five films.

But down here, they float too.

(applause)

- What a crowd, what a crowd!

Now I tell ya, I'm alright now,

but last week I was in rough shape, you know?

Last week, I bought a new book, A Hundred Ways to Make Love.

I ended up in traction, it was a misprint!

(laughter)

Last week, my car broke down.

I tell ya, with my car, I got nothin' but trouble.

Every Sunday, I take my family out for a push!

(laughter)

I tell ya, I got the only car, dogs chase it and catch it.

(laughter)

The last time my wife drove the car, she cracked it up.

Went into a tree.

She told me it wasn't her fault, she blew the horn!

(laughter)

Oh, my wife took her driver's test, she was happy.

She got 18 outta 20.

Yeah, two guys jumped outta the way!

(laughter and applause)

That's all right.

Oh, you're alright there, thank you very much.

Nah.

I tell ya, my wife isn't too smart, you know.

One night she went out, some guy stole the car.

I said, "Did you see what he looked like?"

She told me she got the license plate number.

(laughter)

She's not smart at all, my wife.

Her father died, she had his body frozen.

Every time I take a snack, he falls outta the refrigerator!

(laughter)

(applause)

That's okay, okay, okay...

That's alright, thank you very much.

I tell ya...

I'll tell ya one thing, though,

when I have sex with my wife, it's like magic.

Soon as I get in bed, she disappears!

(laughter)

Oh, the other night, she met me at the front door

wearing a see-through negligee.

The only trouble is, she was coming home!

(laughter)

I tell ya, my wife and I, we never have sex.

We get undressed, we can't stop laughin', you know?

(laughter and applause)

Thank you very much.

Now I tell ya...

I tell ya, with my wife,

I never know what's comin' next, you know?

Last night, she made chocolate mousse.

An antler got stuck in my throat.

(laughter)

And my kids, they don't help either.

The other day I told my kid,

I said, "Someday you'll have children of your own."

He said, "So will you!"

(laughter)

(applause)

Alright, thank you so much.

No, I tell ya...

I mean, that's the story of my life, no respect!

I don't get no respect at all!

No respect at all.

(cheering and applause)

No respect all, are you kiddin'?

I was arrested for jaywalking.

The crowd kept yelling, "Don't take him alive!"

(laughter)

It's the same thing when I was a kid, no respect.

The time my old man took me to the zoo.

They thanked him for returning me!

(laughter)

I was an ugly kid, too.

- [Man In Audience] How ugly?

- How ugly?

(laughter)

(applause)

I was so ugly, my mother breastfed me through a straw.

(laughter)

(applause)

That's alright.

I mean, I mean ugly!

You know when I was born, after the doctor cut the cord,

he hung himself!

(laughter)

And my old man, he didn't like my looks, either.

He carried around a picture of the kid

who came with the wallet.

(laughter)

Are you kiddin', I know I'm ugly!

Halloween, I open the front door,

the kids give me candy!

(laughter)

(applause) (band plays)

3 Traits Narcissists Seek in Others – Are You a Potential Target? - Duration: 3:45.

3 Traits Narcissists Seek in Others – Are You a Potential Target?

One of the main personality traits narcissists are known for is that they have extremely high confidence and

self-importance.

However, there are also a range of other traits that are often overlooked when dealing with narcissism.

Traits such as an excessive need for admiration, lack of empathy for others, arrogance, jealousy,

callousness and the tendency to exploit others for their own gain are all part of how a narcissist ticks.

These traits mean that only certain people can handle a narcissist in their everyday personal life – in a way the

narcissist 'targets' these certain people subconsciously to suit their personality and their needs.

So what are these kinds of people and how do you stop yourself from becoming involved with a narcissist?

1.

Intelligent and successful people

Narcissists believe they are the cream of the crop and with that comes the belief of high intelligence and a need to

succeed.

Naturally, they would surround themselves with others who possess the traits they feel they do,

so they choose to spend time with incredibly intelligent individuals who are well-trained,

skilled and successful within their profession.

2.

Extreme perfectionists

Narcissists choose to spend time with people who strive for perfection in everything they do,

whilst constantly doubting themselves.

This type of behaviour allows the narcissist to feed into their idea of perfection and greatness,

but the fact that the person is always doubting themselves will make the narcissist feel better in themselves,

knowing they are better.

3.

Self-confidence issues

Finally, narcissists choose to surround themselves with people who have underlying self-esteem issues because they can

feel in control of the relationship as they are seen as better.

The narcissist feeds off people who require validation and acknowledgement as they are vulnerable and easy to

manipulate.

Although all of these traits may make the narcissist seem very negative,

none of these behaviours are intentional or carried out with malice (generally speaking).

If somebody you know fits the traits of a narcissist, it doesn't mean they're a horrible person or that they should be

avoided at all costs.

Just ensure you know what you are getting yourself into before becoming close to that person.

Educate yourself on the behaviours of a narcissist and even how to cope with certain situations the narcissist may be

involved in and there can even be advantages to having a narcissist in your life.

Do you know anybody who fits the traits of a narcissist?

Or do you possess the traits narcissists often seek in others?

Let us know your thoughts in the comments!

The Reason Most People Fail - Anthony Gucciardi - Duration: 2:40.

It's really sad to see people using their past as an excuse

instead of a lesson. And what I have found is that actually the people

with the worst circumstances are usually better than the naturally gifted people,

all right? So it's like greatness is actually achieved as opposed to inherited.

It's not just a gift. For example, you know, I was just having a discussion and

someone said, "Hey, you know, have you just always been able to get up here and

be on camera and talk about things?" And no, I have not, not at all.

I had Lyme disease over a decade ago, and what happened is my face literally was

paralyzed from the nerve damage. I couldn't even move my face.

I still have a little trouble. So I had to retrain my face, and the neurologist said

it might be permanent to some degree. So when I smile, like it's not all cohesive.

My face is kind of messed up. And even moving my eyebrows, I had to train myself

to move my eyebrows again. I had to go up and down right over and over and over

again. And still, again, it's kind of a little hard to do that.

It has a little pain and it's kind of like waking muscles up. So I never thought I

could even be on camera because I would just go like this. I just talk like this

and no one wants that, right? You have to be animated and interesting.

So I didn't believe that. I thought also that I couldn't even move because my body

was so messed up. I mean it basically almost killed me, and I still have lasting

back pain. That turned out to be the biggest motivator for me though because

the idea that you can't do something and it's a life sentence, that doesn't work

with me, and it shouldn't work with you either. For example, I have

people come and tell me. They say, "Well, when I was in high school, I

lost battle of the bands. I got download and I wasn't good enough." What?

You let that make you stop, really? You let that make you quit.

Come on. You got to look at it like, "Hey, if you fail over and over and over again,

you eventually are a success." You know how many times I failed? Like a zillion,

but if you fail one time and you quit, you're a failure.

You see the difference? If you fail over and over and over again,

you are a success, because you kept going and you kept getting up.

But if you fail one time, you are a failure, as in you are the person that

quit without having that resilience, without having that dedication and drive.

And you say, "Well, I just don't have drive." Well, you don't have purpose.

You're not connected with purpose because you do have drive, you just have

to tap into that drive. And yesterday is a long process but be the person that

fails over and over again, not the person that fails one time and quits.

Cannabis Strain Review G13 - The Johno Show - Duration: 12:07.

Hey Stoners Welcome to The Johno Show.

I'm your host Johno.

My guest today is Michael the owner of Easy Butter Maker.

We're gonna talk to him in depth about Easy Butter Maker in tomorrow's episode but right

now it's strain review day.

Here are the top 5 facts of the Cannabis strain known as G13.

Yeah!

Before we get started Michael tell us a little about Easy Butter Maker.

And

as is customary on The Johno Show we light up before counting down!!

So let's do it!!

Fact Number 5: History & Lineage

Last week, when I was in Florida, we reviewed OG Kush, which had mysterious origins.

Well here I am again in Florida again and wouldn't you know it today's strain is

also clouded in mystery and myth.

G13 was allegedly created by the CIA and FBI at a super-secret location at the University

of Mississippi when they were working with native Afghani weed for "medical" purposes.

Some believe it was the product of the NIDA Drug Supply Program.

The story goes that a single cutting of the plant was liberated by an unnamed technician

and bred for the masses.

Allegedly the G in G13 stands for Government Indica Strain.

In 1999 the super-strain was featured in "American Beauty" when Lester Burnham played by Kevin

Spacey acquires some from next door neighbor Ricky Fitts played by Wes Bently.

Insert American Beauty Clip (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TOajafkPq3g#t=135.461)

Fact Number 4: Positive vs Negative Effects

G13 starts with a euphoric lift that hits you hard with a push of energy and even increases

motivation.

Unfortunately, that's quickly taken over by a heavy full body buzz that locks you down

into deep relaxation lasting for hours.

You're still able to retain a calm, clear head and uplifted mood.

Medically this strain can be used for Stress, Pain, Depression, Insomnia and to a lesser

degree nausea.

Negatives are big time dry mouth and to a lesser degree Dry Eyes, Dizziness, Headache

and a slight bit of anxiousness.

Fact Number 3: Sativa vs Indica & THC/CBD Levels

G13 is an indica-dominant strain with 70% Indica / 30% Sativa and 22% to 24% THC.

Fact Number 2: Appearance, Smell & Taste

G13 has a pungent sweet, earthy skunk smell.

Some people say it reeks of wild berries making your mouth water.

I'm a little concerned because sometimes these berry smelling strains interpret themselves

as baby poop for me, since I'm allergic to berries

and are never around them to remember what that

smell is.

But the taste on

your lips is supposed to be an unmistakable creamy sweet flavor.

Fact Number 1: You Gotta Smoke It to Know It!

So how do we feel?

Thank you for watching.

As always please share this with your friends on social media and give it a thumbs up if

you liked it.

I would love to have you.

So, if you're ready, grab your mat, and let's get started!

So, we're going to begin in child's pose.

Come down onto your hands and knees, touch your big toes together behind you, separate

your knees apart, sit your hips onto your heels, and relax your head down onto the ground.

Keep your arms stretching out in front of you.

Close your eyes for a moment.

Take a deep breath in and a deep breath out.

Come inward, quiet your mind by focusing your attention on your breath and remain here for

several deep breaths.

Gently lift your head up, we are going to come into a twist.

Take your left arm.

We are going to thread it underneath your right arm, bringing the top of the left hand

to the ground and the left temple on your head to the ground as well.

And remain there in your twist for several deep breaths.

Slowly unwind from your twist and come into the other side.

And slowly come back to the center, come up onto your hands and your knees.

And from here we're going to take several cat and cow stretches.

Inhale, tuck your toes, arch your back by looking up and forward and spreading your

shoulders wide apart, and then on your exhale, untuck your toes, bringing the tops of your

feet to the floor, curve your spine in the opposite direction, reaching your upper back

all the way up towards the ceiling, and look towards your thighs.

Inhale come back into your cow pose, tuck your toes, arch your back look up and forward,

exhale untuck your toes and come into your cat pose.

Inhale cow, deeply inhale through your nose, exhale cat pose, continue for several deep

breaths, moving on your own breathing and your own timing.

With each inhale come to your cow pose, and with each exhale come into your cat pose.

And continue to move on your own timing.

One final exhale coming into your final cat pose, and come to a flat back neutral spine.

From here, tuck your toes, press into the ground with your hands and your feet, straighten

your legs into downward facing dog.

In your first down dog of this sequence, peddle your legs.

Alternating bending and straightening your legs.

Adding a bit of movement into your downward facing dog.

Gently warming up the leg muscles, the quads, the glutes, the calves.

Each time you straighten your leg, gently press the heel down towards the floor.

Be kind to your body as it's just warming up.

Slowly come to stillness in your downward facing dog, take a deep breath in and a deep

breath out through your nose.

And from here, raise your heels all the way up, bend your knees generously, and take as

many steps as you need to coming to the top of your yoga mat to a forward fold.

Relax your head over, bring your hands to the floor.

If your hands don't reach the floor, bend your knees so you can place them down.

On your next inhale, press into the ground with both of your feet, and slowly come up

to standing with a straight spine.

Reaching your arms up towards the ceiling looking up towards your hands.

Stretching both sides of your body.

Palms are facing each other and you're looking up.

Hold and reach.

Lengthen up.

One more breath.

And on your exhale release your hands down by your sides.

Standing up tall in your mountain pose.

On your next inhale, raise your arms all the way up looking towards your hands, lengthen

your body and then on your exhale, slightly bend your knees so you can come back into

your forward fold.

Bring your hands to the floor.

Relax your head over.

On your inhale, look up halfway straightening your spine (and feel free to bring your hands

to your shin bones to straighten your spine and get more length).

And then on your exhale, plant your hands down onto the floor step back one foot at

a time into a plank pose.

Hold for a moment.

Breathing here, feeling your body in one straight line all the way from the top of your head

down your spine, down your legs to your heels.

And from here, send your hips up and back into a downward facing dog.

Take a deep breath in and a deep breath out.

Inhale step your right foot forward in between your hands.

Your right knee should be directly above your right ankle.

Set your left knee down onto the floor.

Untuck your left toe and hold here.

For a moment, your hands are down on the ground framing your right foot.

Gently press your hips down towards the ground stretching the front of your left hip and

softening the right hip socket.

Hold and breathe for a moment.

Looking down.

And from here, we are going to shift your weight onto the left knee (feel free to put

some padding under your knee if it's uncomfortable for you on the floor), and straighten the

right leg and flex the foot.

We're going to stay in our forward fold with your hands down on the ground you can keep

them flat or lift them up for a bit more height.

And then as you're here, on your exhale fold over, look down, gently stretching the hamstrings,

the glutes, the calf muscle, on the right side.

From here, shift your weight forward onto the right leg, press into the ground with

both of your hands, tuck your left toe.

Step the right leg back into downward facing dog.

Take a deep breath in and a deep breath out through your nose.

On your next inhale, step your left foot forward in between your hands.

Bring your left knee directly above your left ankle.

Set the right knee down onto the floor, and untuck the toe.

Rest here on the other side in your low lunge with your hands framing your left foot, softening

your left hip socket and stretching the front of your right hip.

From here, gently shift your weight back onto the right leg, add padding if needed under

your right knee, stretch the left leg and flex the foot.

Have your hands down on the ground framing the left leg, and then gently on an exhale,

come to your forward fold, looking down, keeping as much length in your spine as you can.

Stretching the back of your left leg.

And from here, shift your weight back onto your left leg, tuck the right toe, step back

into downward facing dog (adho mukha svanasana).

Hold here and breathe.

And from here, bring your knees down onto the floor, and we'll come to a seated position.

From here, straighten your legs out in front of you flexing both of your feet.

Bend your right leg and cross it over the left, keeping the knee pointed up and the

bottom of the right foot on the floor, feel free to keep the left leg straight, or if

you're able to keep both sits bones even on the floor, you can bend the left leg in bringing

the left heel towards the right glute.

Once you're settled in your pose whichever way you decide to do it today, sit up tall

and lengthen your spine on an inhale, wrapping your left arm around your right leg, bringing

your right arm behind you, take one more inhale, lengthen your spine up even further, and on

your exhale, twist to the right looking as far behind you as you can.

And remain here.

With each breath that you take, on your inhale to lengthen your spine up even further, and

on your exhale, twist just a bit deeper, using your arms to help you twist.

And hold here for several deep breaths.

Slowly unwind from your twist, unwrap your legs, and come into the other side.

Bending the left leg, cross it over the right leg, either keep the right leg straight or

bend it in.

Bring the right heel in towards the left glute.

Be sure that both of your sits bones are even on the ground.

Wrap your right arm around your left leg, bring your left arm behind you, inhale, lengthen

your spine and exhale twist around to the left.

With each inhale that you take, lengthen your spine, and with each exhale twist just a bit

deeper than before.

And hold here for several deep breaths.

Gently unwind from your twist, uncross your legs and we'll come to lie flat on your back.

Once you're on your back, bend both of your legs, take your right leg, taking the right

ankle crossing it over the left thigh, bring the right knee out to the right, take your

hands and hold on to the hamstrings on the left side underneath the knee.

Flex both of your feet as you gently hug your legs in towards your shoulders.

Stretching the outer edge of your right hip by the glute, softening the hip sockets in,

and breathe here as you stretch.

Remove your hands from your leg, set your left foot down uncross your right ankle and

switch sides.

Take your left ankle over the right thigh, bringing your left knee out to the side.

Hug both legs in towards your shoulders keeping both of your feet flexed, hold on to the right

hamstrings with both hands.

Hugging the legs in stretching the outer edge of your left hip by the glute and softening

the hip sockets, breathe here.

Gently release your hands from your leg, uncross your ankles, and we'll take our final pose,

a savasana, stretch your legs out onto the ground separate them slightly apart, relax

your legs completely.

Turn your palms up towards the ceiling, looking upwards, close your eyes, and begin to deepen

your breath.

Inhaling and exhaling through your nose, focus all of your attention on your breathing.

If another thought comes into your mind as you're focusing on your breath, gently notice

that the thought is there and come back to your breath.

And remain here breathing deeply.

Bring some slight motion back into your body by gently moving your hands and your feet,

your arms and your legs.

Bend your legs, roll onto the right side of your body, rest there with your knees bent

and your arms underneath your head for support.

Using your hands to help you, come up to a seated cross legged position.

Cross your shins in front of you, flex your feet underneath your knees, bring your hands

to your legs, close your eyes, and begin to deepen your breath once again.

Take a deep breath in and out through your nose.

And bring your hands to meet at the center of your chest, bow your head to your finger
