Hello little tigers and welcome back to my channel!
Today I'm going to talk about something you've been requesting for six months:
Why did you open a Patreon?
It wasn't because of my boobs
because everyone automatically thinks Patreon = boobs
and they forget
what the real purpose of this site is
and, most importantly, for what you use it.
I don't only have Patreon. I've been on Ko-Fi for a long time too
which is also easier to manage
It might look similar to Patreon but it really isn't because
on Ko-Fi you donate money and get nothing in return
It's something like: "there you go Yuriko, today I have five euros to spend so I'm giving them to you so that I can offer you a virtual coffee".
And in reality I often use those money to get myself a coffe
(because yes, a coffe is five euros here).
Sometimes people also collect money to buy me gifts
or to buy stuff from my amazon wishlist
and many things...
Unfortunately I can't give you my address or my agency's address
because I might have problems with stalking.
Patreon, on the countrary, is a way bigger and more complex thing
that unfortunately is often associated with ero cosplay
Aka people who only cosplay
posing naked or they do erotism related stuff
sexy, pornographic, etc...
I personally think that there is nothing wrong with it
and I also wanted to remind you that men do it too
and there are many girls who pay money
to see a photoshopped bulge
So don't be shoked about the fact that some man pay to see some fake boobs
because I've seen way worse things on the other side that you humans can't understand.
Patreon was born as a support
a support site for various artists
so not only for cosplayers but also for musicians,
singers, people who are writing books
people who have a progect...
it's like a crowdfunding thing
But without a setting a goal
I, for example, only use Patreon to keep cosplaying
because except for my job
no one pays me to do cosplays
so it often becomes a big expense
that is hard to mantain as an hobby
I could easily stop cosplaying and focus on my job
But since I like it
and cosplay is ,fundamentally, also a part of me
and a part of what I've always wanted to create
I've decided that well: since I normally do photo shoots
with 100\20\30 photos
that I'll never post on social medias because they're too many
but someone might actually want them
someone might actually want to download them, print them, use them as their wallpaper
and I also don't have an online shop
so Patreon works a lot like it
because, unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to keep up with 100 orders doing everything by my own
and it's definetly not easy
especially if a person has another job.
I'm going nuts
Patreon, in the end, supports the artist
so if you support me on patreon
you'll help me to keep doing cosplays
and I will be able to rent a studio, pay for a photograph
pay for a photo editor
and also for high quality posters
and for all the things that
need to be printed in a shop
so that I can personally ship them to you
So it's a situation where you support me and get something in return
even if you don't spend 45 euros to recieve a 45 euros worth print
But compared to the ones I sell at cons
that I have to print in large quantities
(and I know that the majority of people who follow me are young and can't spend 15 euros for a picture)
I still try to separate the things you can get on my Patreon
from the regular ones I sell at cons
Patreon also has exclusivity
all the things I post on patreon can't be found anywhere else
This is why some people tought: "Uuh so you've got something to hide".
If you read my FAQ
You'll read that there actually are some more fan servicey things
And this was a pretty smart move because
if I uploaded that kind of content on Facebook people would have reported it
But by uploading it on Patreon
people have to pay for it and everyone is happy
It's the best thing in the world.
So yeah, there is a little bit of fan service
but only for the highest tiers
so not for the people who only want to see the monthly set
and it has something more
I think that If a girl was in the same situation of a boy she'd do the same thing
We all wanted to see Shuske's bulge and pecs
So as I've always said
It really depens on the character
in the sense that if a character is done in a certain way I'll do
2\3 fan service shots
But I'll definetly never do
and it also has never come to my mind
to cosplay the sexy version of a character because I fundamentally don't care about it
if someone else does it ok
but it's not something for me.
because I prefer to always stay in character
For example for the may's set I was cosplaying Panty and she's a huge whore
if you don't know this anime: "Panty and Stockings with Garterbelt" go watch it!
because it's hilarious... it looks like an anime from Cartoon Network
but in that case it's ok to have some fan service
that in the end it's not even that much
Because yeah, everything is exclusive on Patreon
but there is always that asshole
who tries to join my Patreon and then ask sfor his money back
and posts the exclusive content online to give me a bad image
I'd never upload something that might compromise
my image so it's usless that you try to do it
because you'll never, never see what you want to see
i don't do total nude\lingerie sets
I'm not planning on doing them at the moment ( I can't do them with my belly
I'm not gonna show my belly if I don't work my ass off at the gym first)
aside from that
I opened my Patreon so that I could continue doing more cosplays
to be able to afford some extra things
and as a way to support me in general
I'm going to make you a gift and also get something in return
Supporting someone on Patreon it's like a fan thing
because you can collect all the badges
you get an exclusive autographed poster
It's something that
if I had an idol
and my idol opened a fan club
(because I use Patreon as a fan club)
and I don't really call it Patreon, I call it Yuriko Tiger fan club
And instead of having to create a site
and the same system that me and my agency were trying to do
I thought: "well, it already exists
let's do it on Patreon, it's so easy."
I have to admit that, at first, I wasn't really convinced about Patreon
and I personally had a bad image of it too
Because it seems like you have to sell yourself
and the truth is that many girls like to do erotic content
so it's not really like selling yourself, it depends
on how you see things
There have been some people who were triggered by the fact that I've opened a Patreon
and i'd really like to remind them that I'm not getting any money from my mum and dad
so I have to get by completely by my own
and paying a rent in Tokyo
while legally being able to do only one job
because of my visa
it's not easy to keep doing something you're passionate about
and that is really expensive
Not to be shady but in Italy we're used to be like: "hey my friend is a photographer
so he's not gonna charge us any money
and we can go anywhere to take pictures because no one is gonna bother us".
Italy is really cool for these things
In Japan there is a huge system full of rules
you mustn't take picture where you're not allowed to
then you must pay and since I'm also a model there are even more things to sort out
I can guarantee you that
a set\ costume that you see in my photoshoots
might have been worth more than 800 euros
so, unfortunately, Patreon is the only support that i have at the moment
where I can directly recieve money without having to pay anything to my agency
you directly support my work
and it's something that I really apprecite
Even if you only choose to support me on Ko-Fi (it's still very much appreciated) *caffè*
So it's up to you
Do you want to support me? Thank you! *gimmie money*
You don't want to support me? That's fine
(You're still gonna buy my prints at a convention)
I'm kidding
I'd really recommend it if you're an artist and you want to try
but it also has complex rules
you'll have to pay taxes
and, most importantly, it can become a Job
I can guarantee you that Patreon is taking me up lots of time
and I had to change three times the rewards
because since I'm alone and I also have another job
and my Patreon is still not big enough to feed me OMGGG
But I have to admit that I've underestimated it
I didn't want to open it once
because it felt like i was begging for money
But then I thought: is it that bad? If I want to do something and I also have fans who
want to support me
spending their five euros for me
I'd be happy. And if i had an idol I'd do the same thing
*But I'm a piece of shit and I don't have it*
I'm my own idol
"Hey Yuriko how are you doing?" "I'm fantastic" "I know"
too bad that my self esteem considers myself as a piece of shit 24\7
I hope I've satisfied your curiosity
yeah, you might find a bit of fan service now and then
but only for the highest tiers and it's nothing that bad
You should also know that I use photoshop too
That i use bras\ push up bras
and that I sometimes like to see my butt especially when it's tight
after hitting the gym for a long time
And I also like to use those money for something useful
(I'd really love to be able to pay for an English class)
I'd also love to be able to pay for 200 things so that i could continue my studies
but unfortunately...
*damn*
So, if you'd like to join the Yuriko Tiger Fan Club
there it is! If you don't want to it's ok, I'm not forcing you and I don't hate you
and I know that the majority of my fans are young so I'm trying to keep the prices low
I don't want to make more toubles
so you don't have to support me just because I'm "special"
You just have to understand that who pays for a service
who supports has the priority
and it's something that we've also started doing at cons
Because, unfortunately, there were people who didn't know me
but taking a picture with me was convenient for them
so they'd form groups
of kids that I've never seen
just to reserve a spot
for other people who were waiting
So even at cons when there's lots of people
we had to separate the line: one for the people who pay
and another one for everyone else
All of this just to avoid
creating a mess
Therefore I apologize if i might be slow at ansering on Facebook
If you contact me on patreon I always try to answer within two days
I've had many things to do
and at first it was really hard for me to understand this site
But, at the moment, I can say that
it's really useful and I thank you a lot
for watching this video\ buying me a coffe on Ko-Fi
and for supporting me on Patreon (I still love you even if you don't)
See you <3 Let me know what you think
if you agree with me or not and why
Bye! See you!
