Cigarettes are terrible for your health.

Almost everyone knows this; however, some people can still be ignorant about the

passive smoking.

dear ones by burning something in your presence.

Did you know that candles can actually produce harmful effects similar to those of a

cigarette lit

Those scented pumpkin candles can have a fantastic smell in the fall, but also

have an unpleasant by-product - soot.

It works like this: paraffin on candles, when burns, allows dangerous toxins to

in the air we breathe.

The more candles burn, the more toxic the air becomes.

It can get so toxic that Candles have already begun to put

their candles, which recommends that they not be burned for more than three hours in a row.

You may be thinking:

"I burn candles longer than this time I have no problem breathing. "

Consider the fact that numerous studies show that there are more than a quarter of a million

of soot-related asthma attacks each year.

Open a window.

Use a diffuser with essential oils, but do not risk your family's health for

a smelly room.

2004 Pathfinder are they solid, well the 2001s were relatively solid because

that was around the year that Renault and Nissan merged,

around 2000, so it didn't really effect it yet they were still Nissans and were pretty

solid built, I've got old customers with 2000 Pathfinders

with 200-300 thousand miles and they're still running great,

but the newer ones, they fall apart when the get 8-10 years old,

the catalytic converters go bad, they burn oil, their AC systems are garbage,

their electronics break down, but an old 2000, if you can find one with not too many miles,

it can be a pretty decent vehicle you know, like I said I wouldn't buy a late model one,

but those old ones were much more reliable, Who says, Scotty you don't recommend buying

cars from auctions just because their cheap right,

well I don't know if you mean the cars are cheap or the people are cheap, lets say if

you mean the people are cheap, ok if you're cheap, I still say don't buy

an auction car because they can have problems, but if you mean buying a cheap auction car

you really don't want to because there's problems with it,

all auction cars, why are they sold at an auction, because they have problems and so

somebody decides, oh I'm going to sell it at an auction, any good car can sell on the

street these days, you can get a good Toyota, Honda, Ford, whatever,

if it's in good shape and it has reasonably low mileage on it,

people are going to fight hand over fist to buy the thing,

but if it's a crappy car or if it's been stolen or has been in a wreck or flood, then they

sell them at auctions, and you can't drive them, you can't have a

mechanic check them out, only a pro should buy a car at an auction,

I know guys that do it for a living, but they go an auction and they may come with $10,000

and they might buy 5 or 6 cars, they're going to sell each one for 4-5 thousand dollars,

so their going to make money even if they get 2 lemons,

their still going to make money, but don't buy it as an individual it's a mistake,

generally you're going to get burnt, Geo says, Scotty what scan tool would you

good question it depends how far you want to go in analysis, now if you want to spend

$100 go to Amazon buy any of those Actron, they make some great scan tools,

if you want a good scan tool for $99 that goes on your phone if you have a good phone,

basic scan tool for trouble codes and stuff like that, go to Amazon you can get $20-29

ones that work perfectly fine for just that basic stuff, their made in China they have

all reverse engineered software and they work good enough for something like that, it just

I get, a 2006 Volvo S60R or a Ford Focus ST 2015, I have a 1977 Porsche 924 now as my

current car, ok on that, I am not a Volvo fan by any stretch of the imagination,

but I'd go Volvo over the Focus, now if it was a Ford Fusion I'd say get the Fusion because

their pretty well made, but the Focus, I would probably go the Volvo

if it was low enough mileage and it is a second car and you're not putting much mileage on

it, because I've had customer buy those Volvos I've had them buy those Ss, they get them

with 70-80000 and they drive them for 4-5 years and they put 20-3000 miles on them and

they don't have that many problems with them, but once their over 120-130,000 miles they

generally start to fall apart, you don't want to be stuck with it,

Sid says, Scotty I have a 1994 Lexus LS400 and I find the mechanics charge me more because

it's a Lexus and their not really that different from the Toyota what can I do,

well here's the problem, you bought the wrong Lexus, that's the V8 engine and the V8 engines

are much more complex, their much more expensive to repair and they break more often than the

V6s, the V6's they can be trouble free for 300-400

thousand miles, but the V8's aren't, when they get older they generally have a lot of

problems and they are a lot harder to work on,

so try to find a guy like me that knows how to work on them and if you can't I'd say just

give up the ghost and get a ES350 used, they don't have the problems and they are basically

a Toyota Camry with a V6, they are much easier to fix and they cost a lot less for parts,

Larry says, I got a 2007 Pontiac and it has a blinking check engine light when I accelerate

at 60 mph, when your check engine light blinks, it means

that you have a serious problem that's going to ruin the catalytic converter,

so there is some serious problem, you want to get it scanned,

when the light was on, but the new ones aren't that way,

if it only flashes when you're going 60 and accelerating, later you come back and the

light goes off, the code is still stored historically in the computer so anybody with a cheap scan

tool can plug it in and say, oh here's the trouble code and it will show you what to

code is, it could be any of 2,000 different things, but the code will still be there on

any modern car, Customs says, what's your opinion on E85,

it 85% ethanol, 15% gasoline, the farmers love it, they like it in Brazil, because they

make it from the sugar cane there and they keep it all there in house, it actually burns

cleaner and has more power, higher octane, but it gets almost 20% worse gas mileage than

gasoline, because ethanol has like 20% less energy than gasoline, so you get worse gas

mileage, now generally when I've done the figuring it's cheaper than gasoline to some

extent but usually it's not 20% cheap so you're not making out anymore,

but for those of you that have an E85 vehicle that says Flex Fuel, it will run better, it

will actually have more horsepower and it burns cleaner, if they are always run on E85

the engine can actually last longer because they burn cleaner they won't carbon up,

so it's all a choice of what you want to buy and what you want to run it on, but it's not

a good idea to keep switching back and forth if you have a flex one that runs on E85 and

then later run it on regular gasoline because they seem to get bad when you do that, decide

if you're going to stick with E85, stick with E85 and of course the thing is, it's hard

to find, if you live in the midwest no because the farmers love it, but here in Texas you

know there's no stations near my house I'd have to drive half an hour to fill it up with

the stuff, so if you never want to miss another one of my new car repair videos, remember

Does Losing Fat Increase Testosterone Levels? - Duration: 7:33.

hey guys so in this video I'm gonna be talking about body fat percentage and

testosterone and the link between the two so first it's important to recognize

the fact that our body fat is different from dietary fat body fat also known as

adipose tissue is basically how the body stores energy so that you have energy if

food is scarce for example a food were to run out in the wild you would have

your fat to use this energy so you can survive so there are many different

types of body fat in the body but the two main types are subcutaneous fat and

visceral fat subcutaneous fat is the fat under your skin it's the fat you can

pinch the fat you want to get rid of to see your abs and a visceral fat is the

more dangerous kind which is around your organs and this is something you can't

you really see and you can't pinch but it's it's dangerous and it's it's bad to

have a lot of it so the research has actually concluded that fatter guys have

less testosterone and this can be down to a number of reasons but the research

is pretty clear that the fatter you get the lower your testosterone levels are

going to be one study actually showed a 40% increase in the frequency of low

testosterone levels and obese men when compared to their leaner counterparts

you know to keep things really simple the idea is that more body fat means

more estrogen and more estrogen leads to less testosterone so just before I spoke

about subcutaneous fat and visceral fat a visceral fat is connected to a lot of

deadly diseases like heart disease and the evidence is pretty clear that the

more visceral fat you have are the worse off you're going to be in terms of your

wrists research has shown that by increasing testosterone levels you can

actually decrease your visceral fat now reducing visceral fat is something

you're going to want to do for general health anyway and the main way you can

do it is by dropping your calories losing fat reducing your stress levels

high cortisol levels have been linked with visceral fat doing things like

high-intensity interval training may give you an advantage for this whole fat

cutting out trans fats not the animal trans fats but

hydrogenated ones getting enough sleep and overall living a healthy and active

lifestyle like I've just explained high body fat levels generally mean less

testosterone but the opposite extreme is actually true and we know that very low

body fat levels actually lead to lower testosterone levels as well and this can

have something to do with the increase in cortisol because when you don't have

much body fat and you start to get really lean I'm talking under eight

seven six percent body fat as a man this is very stressful on the body and you

know the body wants to have a certain amount of fat to ensure its ability to

survive if food were to ever go scarce so the evidence is clear that when you

look at body builders when that in their contest preparation and you know body

builders are getting down to five percent body fat and sometimes even

leaner than us the research has shown that their testosterone levels are very

very low even though they look muscular and they looked like they would have

high testosterone levels the opposite is actually true in many circumstances

although many of these professional bodybuilders would still be able to

maintain relatively high testosterone levels just because they are injecting

it into themselves from exogenous sources because being very fat is going

to cause you to have less testosterone many people are confused that some of

the studies that show that losing fat causes a decrease in testosterone so

this can get a bit confusing but basically when you're dieting this is

another stress on the body your body doesn't want to be in a calorie deficit

ideally and nature your body wants to be in a calorie surplus you're getting more

fat and that makes sense from an evolutionary perspective but because

we're all fat today and because we all want abs for Instagram and we're trying

to lower our body fat percentage and this requires a calorie deficit so a

calorie deficit especially one that's very aggressive you know a thousand

calories under your maintenance over time especially as you do it for longer

and longer and you diet for longer periods of time this as well is going to

cause a decrease in testosterone our research has shown that a calorie

deficit fifteen percent under your maintenance doesn't actually really

affect cortisol and testosterone so average

calorie deficit maybe a good idea if you're particularly prone to the stress

of dieting but the research has shown that a prolonged calorie deficit will

lead to a decrease in testosterone so if you're 25 percent body fat and you're

quite fat and you're trying to get down to 12% so you're more lean and healthy

so yes this process of losing fat may decrease your testosterone levels but

after you start to reintroduce more calories at your new leaner body fat

percentage your testosterone theoretically is going to be higher than

it was when you were fatter so this is just temporary and it can be alleviated

by either dieting very quickly just to get it over and done with or taking the

very gradual and slow approach to avoid any decreases in testosterone or

increases in cortisol at all so that's a very simple video today just outlining

the relationship between testosterone levels and body fat percentage and in

general men with more testosterone levels are going to be naturally leaner

we know that when you increase your testosterone levels even by natural

means such as resistance training by eating the right kinds of foods this

isn't going to lead to more muscle mass so what we do know is that increasing

testosterone levels will not help you build muscle if you increase them within

a natural range if you're just doing natural methods of increasing your

testosterone like sleeping more or reducing your stress these things won't

help you build more muscle but we know that increasing testosterone levels

naturally do help you to get leaner and lose body fat easier so that was this

video just overall outlining the relationship between testosterone and

body fat basically the more fat you have the less testosterone we will have as

you get very very lean your testosterone will drop and as you're dieting your

testosterone will drop as well ideally you want to stay somewhere between 8 to

15 percent body fat and ideally you know like 10 to 12 percent body fat is a

really good range for a number of reasons one you're gonna look really

good at that body fat percentage you're gonna be able to see your abs to you're

able to maintain it long term so it's a sustainable body fat to aim for and you

know at that boy fat percentage you're going to be able to build muscle

optimally your testosterone is going to be nice

and hi as long as you're eating enough calories and it's a good body fat

percentage to stare obviously this is gonna vary from person to person and

some people genetically are going to be better suited to staying at a higher

body fat percentage and some people will naturally be leaner but it's a good goal

to aim for in my opinion based on the research I've seen so I hope you guys

2004 Pathfinder are they solid, well the 2001s were relatively solid because

that was around the year that Renault and Nissan merged,

around 2000, so it didn't really effect it yet they were still Nissans and were pretty

solid built, I've got old customers with 2000 Pathfinders

with 200-300 thousand miles and they're still running great,

but the newer ones, they fall apart when the get 8-10 years old,

the catalytic converters go bad, they burn oil, their AC systems are garbage,

their electronics break down, but an old 2000, if you can find one with not too many miles,

it can be a pretty decent vehicle you know, like I said I wouldn't buy a late model one,

but those old ones were much more reliable, Who says, Scotty you don't recommend buying

cars from auctions just because their cheap right,

well I don't know if you mean the cars are cheap or the people are cheap, lets say if

you mean the people are cheap, ok if you're cheap, I still say don't buy

an auction car because they can have problems, but if you mean buying a cheap auction car

you really don't want to because there's problems with it,

all auction cars, why are they sold at an auction, because they have problems and so

somebody decides, oh I'm going to sell it at an auction, any good car can sell on the

street these days, you can get a good Toyota, Honda, Ford, whatever,

if it's in good shape and it has reasonably low mileage on it,

people are going to fight hand over fist to buy the thing,

but if it's a crappy car or if it's been stolen or has been in a wreck or flood, then they

sell them at auctions, and you can't drive them, you can't have a

mechanic check them out, only a pro should buy a car at an auction,

I know guys that do it for a living, but they go an auction and they may come with $10,000

and they might buy 5 or 6 cars, they're going to sell each one for 4-5 thousand dollars,

so their going to make money even if they get 2 lemons,

their still going to make money, but don't buy it as an individual it's a mistake,

generally you're going to get burnt, Geo says, Scotty what scan tool would you

recommend for a non-mechanic how much should I pay, thank you,

good question it depends how far you want to go in analysis, now if you want to spend

$100 go to Amazon buy any of those Actron, they make some great scan tools,

if you want a good scan tool for $99 that goes on your phone if you have a good phone,

get the BlueDriver it's $99 and it does a lot of information, now if you just want a

basic scan tool for trouble codes and stuff like that, go to Amazon you can get $20-29

ones that work perfectly fine for just that basic stuff, their made in China they have

all reverse engineered software and they work good enough for something like that, it just

depends on how far you want to go, Joseph, for a second car, what car should

I get, a 2006 Volvo S60R or a Ford Focus ST 2015, I have a 1977 Porsche 924 now as my

current car, ok on that, I am not a Volvo fan by any stretch of the imagination,

but I'd go Volvo over the Focus, now if it was a Ford Fusion I'd say get the Fusion because

their pretty well made, but the Focus, I would probably go the Volvo

if it was low enough mileage and it is a second car and you're not putting much mileage on

it, because I've had customer buy those Volvos I've had them buy those Ss, they get them

with 70-80000 and they drive them for 4-5 years and they put 20-3000 miles on them and

they don't have that many problems with them, but once their over 120-130,000 miles they

generally start to fall apart, you don't want to be stuck with it,

Sid says, Scotty I have a 1994 Lexus LS400 and I find the mechanics charge me more because

it's a Lexus and their not really that different from the Toyota what can I do,

well here's the problem, you bought the wrong Lexus, that's the V8 engine and the V8 engines

are much more complex, their much more expensive to repair and they break more often than the

V6s, the V6's they can be trouble free for 300-400

thousand miles, but the V8's aren't, when they get older they generally have a lot of

problems and they are a lot harder to work on,

so try to find a guy like me that knows how to work on them and if you can't I'd say just

give up the ghost and get a ES350 used, they don't have the problems and they are basically

a Toyota Camry with a V6, they are much easier to fix and they cost a lot less for parts,

Larry says, I got a 2007 Pontiac and it has a blinking check engine light when I accelerate

at 60 mph, when your check engine light blinks, it means

that you have a serious problem that's going to ruin the catalytic converter,

so there is some serious problem, you want to get it scanned,

now it's a modern car, so it's not like the old cars, the old cars, you had to scan them

when the light was on, but the new ones aren't that way,

if it only flashes when you're going 60 and accelerating, later you come back and the

light goes off, the code is still stored historically in the computer so anybody with a cheap scan

tool can plug it in and say, oh here's the trouble code and it will show you what to

code is, it could be any of 2,000 different things, but the code will still be there on

any modern car, Customs says, what's your opinion on E85,

it 85% ethanol, 15% gasoline, the farmers love it, they like it in Brazil, because they

make it from the sugar cane there and they keep it all there in house, it actually burns

cleaner and has more power, higher octane, but it gets almost 20% worse gas mileage than

gasoline, because ethanol has like 20% less energy than gasoline, so you get worse gas

mileage, now generally when I've done the figuring it's cheaper than gasoline to some

extent but usually it's not 20% cheap so you're not making out anymore,

but for those of you that have an E85 vehicle that says Flex Fuel, it will run better, it

will actually have more horsepower and it burns cleaner, if they are always run on E85

the engine can actually last longer because they burn cleaner they won't carbon up,

so it's all a choice of what you want to buy and what you want to run it on, but it's not

a good idea to keep switching back and forth if you have a flex one that runs on E85 and

then later run it on regular gasoline because they seem to get bad when you do that, decide

if you're going to stick with E85, stick with E85 and of course the thing is, it's hard

to find, if you live in the midwest no because the farmers love it, but here in Texas you

know there's no stations near my house I'd have to drive half an hour to fill it up with

the stuff, so if you never want to miss another one of my new car repair videos, remember

hi it's AlaskaGranny do you want to go camping and you're not sure what all you

need supplies gear basic items well whether you're a first-timer camper you've gone camping many times it's always a

great idea to review the must-have camping gear supplies basic items that you need if you're

heading out to camp the first thing you need to have is water even if you're heading out

just hiking for the day always make sure you're taking enough water you can take

one gallon containers you can buy five gallon jug that holds more water

and know how you're going to fill it up with more water and get more depending on how long

you're there at your campground campsite you need to plan on at least one gallon of water per person per

day next you need to plan for food make it simple hot dogs hamburgers meals that

like mountain house meals that you just add water open a few cans and heat them

up then you also need to figure out how you're going to cook them you might want

a little camp stove you need a couple of dishes and maybe a pot to warm things up

one of my favorite items of all is Reynolds foil wrappers they are single

sheet of aluminum foil just the right size you pull them out load them up with food to cook in a fire pit campfire barbecue grill it's simple to

make foil packets in the fire pit or a campfire and your meal is cooking while

you're enjoying yourself and then there's no clean up oh I like these Reynolds foil wrappers

because they're already single sheets they're already the right size they're

heavy duty and they work great if you're going to use a camp stove or a campfire

you need to have some strike-anywhere matches and some kind of firestarter

Instant Fire is great you just sprinkle it out and the stuff lights no matter

what the weather I've had great luck with this Instant Fire and so it's something that I

always like to have with me when I head into the out-of-doors bring a dish pan

put a few dishes in it it can hold all your pots pans dishes together

bring some silverware then with a little bit of soap you can wash and rinse

everything in your dish pan if you don't want to mess with washing dishes bring

some paper products just make sure you dispose of them properly the dish pan is

great because you can put all of your food components together including a

small stove pans your dishes your foil wrap and the way to light it all can fit

in one component it's all together and then nothing becomes lost on your way to go camping

or while you're at camp outdoors just means trouble make sure you bring a

first-aid kit and be ready with band-aids gauze ointments and burn

cream make sure to include bug spray insect repellent and sunscreen anytime you head outdoors then

you're going to be out overnight you need some kind of a light look for small

flashlights maybe a headlamp you can pick these up super cheap at Walmart or

the Dollar Tree or get better high quality ones Go Time Gear one tip that I've been doing

lately is I buy the inexpensive solar outdoor lights and you can set them next

to like where the tent stakes guide wires are or where your the front door of your tent

is and then you just leave them there and then during the day they

charge up and at night you can easily see the trip hazards and find your way

to your tent whether you're coming back from the bathroom or a midnight stroll

always bring an extra layer of warm clothes even if it's a hot summer day as

soon as the Sun Goes Down it gets cold wherever you're camping you need to

bring a jacket some warm socks maybe a fleece or a sweatshirt and even a hat

and be prepared in case it rains you might want to make sure you have a

waterproof layer or a plastic bag to make your own poncho next you need a

sleeping bag pay attention to how cold it gets at night where you're going and

get a sleeping bag that's suitably rated for where you're going you may think

it's warm in a cabin and then you can use this

rated for 50 degrees 50° sleeping bag but if you're going to be sleeping outside and it gets

down to 20 degrees or you're in the winter and it's zero degrees you need to pay

attention to the rating of your sleeping bag and buy one that's appropriate to

the temperature that you may be sleeping in another option if you have a

lightweight sleeping bag purchase a liner to help warm it up or make one out

of a fleece sheet if comfort is an issue bring a pad to lay under your sleeping

bag not essential but nice to have is it tarp you can set it up make a shelter

out of it whether you're sheltering yourself from

the rain or the Sun and a tent not everyone needs a tent when they go

camping but it's certainly nice to have and if you don't have a tent that

doesn't mean you can't go camping sleeping under the stars can be a lot of

fun make sure you bring your bug spray and make sure you actually use it I've

learned that the hard way then bring a nice big supply of plastic bags nice big

black plastic trash bags ones are nice for making tarps Poncho's shelters all kinds of things

and make sure you pick up your trash and leave everything clean and better than

you found it when you got there there's nothing worse than arriving at a

campground and the people before you have left garbage behind and

disrespected anyone else is coming later they're taking away what's the beauty

the out-of-doors is the beauty of being in nature so make sure wherever you go

leave it cleaner than you found it Leave No Trace and if someone left a trace

before you do a good deed and clean it up so that everyone can enjoy the outdoors nature forest outside

out-of-doors when they come there make sure you bring at the very least a

toothbrush maybe a bar of soap and toilet paper my tip to you is keep toilet paper it in

a ziploc bag and everybody gets their own roll there's nothing like portioning

out your own roll to make sure you don't waste it and then there's

enough for everybody else gather up these must have camping items keep them

together then all you need to do is load them up add food and water and you're

ready for your next adventure always tell someone where you're going and when

you expect to return so that in case of an emergency they know when and where to

look for you being outdoors is one of my most favorite things ever and I hope

that you find that you enjoy your time in the out-of-doors too

Now let's say you've got a blister.

So you've got a band-aid on or some sort of island dressing.

And let's also say that you are at an event

and it's raining, your shoe's wet,

how are you going to reduce friction?

Now you can't use an ENGO patch

because your shoe is too wet for it to stick.

You can't use lubricant

because if you put lubricant on here,

it's going to soak through here

and the adhesive is just going to be rendered useless.

My best idea is to use some BlisterShield powder.

Take some out of here and just rub it

over this non-stick part.

If you rub it into here,

it's probably not going to move too far.

Don't go sprinkling it all over

because it'll get through here and come unstuck.

Just onto this little spot that'll reduce friction

over the blister which is really the only place you need it

and then you've got some sort of

friction management happening.

Compartir  La organización Damnificados Unidos de la Ciudad de México convocaron a una marcha el próximo 19 de septiembre, a fin de exigir un proceso de reconstrucción digno y que no traslade la responsabilidad del desastre a los afectados

    Durante una asamblea, los vecinos hicieron un llamado a organizaciones sociales, rescatistas, afectados, amas de casa, voluntarios, académicos y activista, a participar en la marcha que se realizará de la calzada de Tlalpan a la altura de la avenida del Taller, al Zócalo capitalino

    Aseguraron que la organización integrada por afectados de diversas colonias como Del Mar, Roma, de la avenida del Pacífico y de la delegación Iztapalapa, se dijeron sin miedo y dispuestos a persistir en la lucha que tiene como objetivo regresar a sus hogares afectados o destruidos por el sismo

    Por otro lado, lamentaron que hasta el momento la organización no ha sido convocada por Morena para un acercamiento con miras al nuevo gobierno que encabezará en la Ciudad de México y a nivel federal

    Asimismo, los vecinos guardaron un minuto de silencio en recuerdo de las víctimas, y lamentaron que diversos funcionarios han intentado aprovecharse de la confusión para promover esquemas que calificaron como poco sensibles, como los créditos y la redensificación

    Además, tras una misa en honor organizada por los vecinos del Multifamiliar Tlalpan, señalaron que algunos vecinos siguen sin contar con certeza jurídica sobre la propiedad de sus inmuebles, e incluso algunos carecen de dictámenes sobre el daño de su vivienda o que indiquen si el suelo en el que se encuentran aún es habitable

    Los vecinos de dicho complejo manifestaron que si bien ya comenzó la reconstrucción no tienen certeza sobre los recursos, ni si existe un plan para apoyar a las familias que tendrán que pasar entre nueve y 14 meses fuera de sus casas para esos trabajo en un edificio y el reforzamiento de nueve más

    Sin embargo, en el marco del 61 aniversario del Multifamiliar de Tlalpan, consideraron que esta no es una celebración amarga sino con la esperanza de tener de nuevo sus departamentos
