Hello, my friends! Today we are going talk to you about cats.

A cat is one of the most popular pets in the world. People really love cats.

Cats became domestic animals several thousands years ago. It happened in Egypt. Now we know that for the ancient Egyptians cats were sacred animals.

A cat living in a family was like a personal god for its members. If a fire broke out in a house, the cat was the first to be rescued.

If a cat died through somebody's fault, that person could be severely punished. Why did they worship cats?

I think they did it, because cats are so unusual animals. Their eyes shine in the dark, they walk noiselessly

and are very graceful. But most of all the ancient Egyptians, I think, loved cats for their ability to kill mice and rats.

As there were no safe storehouses for food supplies, mice often destroyed supplies and a family could simply die of hunger.

It is rather curious that the Europeans got acquainted with that animal much later, in the middle ages.

But our European predecessors were rather cruel to cats.

Cats (especially black ones) were thought to be helpmates of witches and got burnt in large quantities.

Russian people got to know cats only at the end of the 16th century. Since then cats have become very popular here.

Cats are really amazing animals. I read somewhere that the God created the cat so that a man could pat a tiger.

I completely agree with that. But cats, unlike dogs, do not serve people.

Cats are sure that people serve them. I have a feeling that cats think that our job is to care for them.

Cats do only what they want. They can lie on your laps and purr or lie somewhere on the floor and even not to look in your direction.

I still hate it when a cat being called by its owner may not even turn its head.

Cats are very wilful animals. But despite living by themselves there are many stories telling how cats saved their masters.

For example cats warned their owners about fires in their houses.

I especially love amazing stories where cats, protecting children, fought with dogs and snakes!

People have always thought that there is some mystery about these animals. Different experiments and researches showed that cats have very positive influences on a man's organism.

It is a proven fact that when people stroke a cat, their blood pressure becomes normal.

And a lot of people believe that cat can cure. There is a new direction in medicine, called «cat therapy».

The idea of this method is simple: you take a cat and start to stroke and play with it. The results of cat therapy are quite impressive.

Some people with heart and mental diseases really got better.

And there is another opinion, that cats have extraordinary abilities: cats can see different kinds of ghosts and this is really mystic.

There are lots of cat breeds. Personally I like Siberian, Russian Blue and Siamese cats.

But most of all I like cats that do not belong to any breed. I think that in case of cats breeds are absolutely unimportant.

To me a house or a flat without a cat lacks for comfort.

When I was living in Africa, I had two cats – Ficelle and Dexter. Ficelle is a Siamese cat, a coward with a difficult character and a real homebody.

Ficelle "rope", "twine" in translation from the French language.

He really was very thin, like a rope. And I know from my own experience that it is very difficult to conquer the heart of a cat. It took more than a year to get that. Finally, I got his love.

Dexter doesn't belong to any breed. He is a real hunter, a killer of birds, an independent, freedom-loving animal, but a very affectionate cat.

Both cats were taken from the street and they selflessly love their master.

I had to leave Africa, but I really miss my cats and will always remember them.

Update Google Sheets Data From Your Chatbot | C+I 23 - Duration: 5:16.

In this lesson, you will learn how to update Google Sheets data from your chatbot.

In the previous lesson, we have created a

Google Sheets block, now let's continue from there. I will add a new quick reply

and name it "Update". Now we have two options, we need to send the task attribute over

to Integromat. Go to the "add" block then add in the {{task}} user attributes.

Duplicate the block,

and rename it to "update".

I will just change the text accordingly.

Then go back to the Google Sheets block and enter the block name that we have just created.

We'll go to Integromat.

When I open the panel, you can notice that there's no {{task}} attribute because

it has not been sent over before. So what we can do is we can unlink the

modules and run the scenario once. The reason to unlink the module is so that

I don't want the sample data to be added to my Google Sheets. Now I will send the

sample data over.

After that I'll add a Router,

then set up a Filter. Now you can see the {{task}} attribute is available to use. We

will set a condition if {{task}} attribute is equal to "add", then we will let the data

to pass through.

Next, I will create another route

add a Google Sheets module with "Select rows" action.

This module is to select specific row in Google Sheets.

After you have selected the file, go to the filtering field,

You need to specify the name of the column that is to be filtered. Let's go

back to the Google Sheets.

I want the Product ID column to be filtered. I will copy the name, go back to

Integromat and paste it in the Filtering field.

Change all the character to lowercase and remove all the spacing.

Then put an equal sign,

and insert {{productID}} attribute. After that, we will add another Google Sheets

module. This time round we'll select "Update a row".

Select the file

and insert the user attributes accordingly.

In the Row ID field, select the Row ID tag from the previous Google Sheets module.

After that, remember to set the Filter, {{task}} is equal to "update"

Save the scenario and we can test the bot.

I'll select update

and the product ID of the product that I want to change.

I will change the product name to skirt

and quantity to 18. There you go, so that's how you update

Google Sheets data from your chatbot. The next lesson, you'll learn how to

I would say, yes it has happened.

It's actually happened for myself.

I buy my own properties as an investor

and a developer in the area

and I've bought properties without ever seeing it.

Now, the catch 22 and this is what I recommend

to any one of my clients is yeah, you can buy the property,

write the offer, you can have an accepted offer,

but I would highly recommend that

one way, shape, or form, whether it's you

or someone that you know and trust

like a family member or an uncle or something,

comes and actually sees the house

during the inspection period.

- I always highly recommend an inspection

but when you buy a property without ever seeing it,

you're probably gonna wanna have someone

that you at least know

look at the house with their own two eyes

during the inspection period

because in the state of Minnesota,

that's the time when you can actually get out.

half a cup of superfine sugar or castor sugar

4 tablespoons of honey

you could use golden syrup in its place

1 1/2 tsp of baking soda

make sure to measure it out perfectly

1/2 tablespoon of water

to make the honeycomb

I'm using a saucepan

make sure that your pan is a deep pan

and has a thick bottom

I'm using a heat proof spatula

I'll add in the sugar

into the saucepan

the honey goes in next

and the water

so, I'll just give it a mix

time to turn on the heat

keep the heat at medium

it has already started melting

so just stir it

and just let it melt

that's how it's coming along

NO more stirring

you could just

give it a swirl

to mix it up

we'll let it cook for about 2 to 3 mins

till we get

a colour just like the maple syrup

that's bubbling away

the sugar has dissolved completely

place a silicon mat

on your work surface

or your counter top

it's almost there

be very careful this is extremely HOT

do you see the colour now?

that's ready

so I'll just turn off the heat

and add in

the baking soda all at once

use a wire whisk

and just give it a quick mix

it'll foam up

this is the reason

for using a deep pan

that's exactly how we want it

I have a silicon mat ready

I'll just pour out

the mixture

just look at that foam

and it smells of honey!

and the pan

soak it in some hot water

the honeycomb needs to cool down completely

so we'll just let it rest

instead of the silicon mat

you could pour the hokey pokey

over a greased

marble top

or granite top or even

a steel plate or (cake) tin

checking on it after an hour

and that has set

firm

use a knife

or a rolling pin to bash it up

or a knife to cut it

you need to make smaller pieces

just see how beautiful that looks inside

the perfect honeycomb!

so cut it into bite size pieces

this goes excellently as

ice cream topping

or

inside cakes

you could even dip it in chocolate

for a special treat

to store it

just put it in an airtight jar

or a container

enjoy the hokey pokeys

as a dessert topping

or with a hot

cup of coffee

pink Valentine's Day makeup look I went for a little bit of a darker look this

year for the Valentine's Day look and to start out this look we're going to be

starting with a covergirl trublend that made foundation I also went ahead and

did my eyebrows using the anastasia beverly hills dipbrow and medium brown

next to prime my eyes I use the LA girl Pro concealer in white and then covered that

with a translucent powder next I use the Anasazi of Beverly Hills Modern

Renaissance palette and I'm going in with the color Venetian red and I'm

going to put this in the outer corners and the crease area blending upwards

next to blend out this shade I'm going to be using the shade love which is a

blending that out I will add some more color to the crease area

next using the nor vena palette again I'm going to be using the color passion

which is a dark kind of burgundy red color and I'm putting this color on the

outer two-thirds of the eye leaving the inner part open then I'm going to using

the morphe picasso palette for this bright red color and putting that in the

inner corners I will also be using this color underneath the eye a little bit of

the passion color on the outer inner eye area then using a little bit of the wild

child which is a bright pink sparkly color for the inner eye next I'm using

the Loreal lash paradise mascara for the top lashes and I will be topping these

with false lashes later on

we're the highlight and contour I'm going to using the Maybelline fit me

foundation sticks or the highlight I'm using porcelain 110 and for the contour

i'm using toffee 330

or the blush I'm going to be using these Sigma cosmetics or a blush in Nymphea

and for highlighter I'm using the LA Colors illuminating skin enhancer in

moonbeam

and for lipstick I'm using the LA girl matte lipstick in the shade

in spicy

for this look I wanted to stick with the dark kind of burgundy purple and red

colors for this sort of dramatic romantic Valentine's Day look let me

today we're gonna go to Akihabara and see what's over there at the station

take like little detours like wow this is so cool let's go over here so so like

we're going because most of us just winging so if you travel with me there's

a lot of detours we take a lot of side trips yeah cuz we were supposed to like

a certain toy capsule place but then we;re like oh let's just go here or

we find something cool like the whole sumo-wrestling museum display thingy we--

I just saw that in the station like oh let's just go inside here like what does

that look like most of time I don't know what we're

doing or I haven't idea overdoing but sometimes we don't even do the things we

want to do because there's either a long wait it's closed or we find something

cooler to do on the way oh yeah sometimes it's too expensive and we just

we just stay out or bri-- oh look you can see the sky tower now the sky's cleared up

but anyways most of the time when there are things that are way too expensive we

just stand outside in front of it and look at it from afar for instance they

tokyo tower costs money to go up to the observation deck and then

also the Sky Tree cost even more money it's like thirty dollars to go to the

observation deck but we don't really mind looking-- watching or looking from

the outside because it's just cool to be here and to even experience this

rollercoaster Rosa: i'd be so scared i think boat would like that

okay anyways off to our next destination

walking to the koishikawa korakuen e garden

so this area is very different from Akihabara it's super quiet and there's so much

green area here's that you can relax take a nice

stroll I should have took more zyrtec it's so green I thought I was gonna be

like whatever you feel comfortable with and then they drew on your omelette and that was

really nice it was a lot of ketchup so glad we like ketchup imagine if we didn't

things until Rosa saw it on the menu and this is like oh it's Amanda's birthday

and then she's like it's your birthday and then I showed them ID they're like wow

it's your birthday yesterday and I was like oh it's today in America and then

cheesecake there was a line out the door and I don't know all the workers

there were so nice and happy and cheery and they're so cute and a lot of things

are really interactive and customizable which I really liked

so it was a good it was a good birthday present to myself

in San Diego, we're looking for food now,

You can drive over like Wilson did,

he loves to drive over that bridge.

There are many small beaches and

the people swing and do kayak.

Many restaurants.

You can also rent a bike and

drive the whole walkway next to the sea.

They rent bicycles for one person,

or two, or three and there

is one that looks like a cuban bici-taxi.

For the cubans watching, you know what I mean.

I don't know the name here but they are like bicycle carts.

Wanted to rent one of those but I can't find them.

Now we're going to the famous Hotel del Coronado

Is right next to the beach and is beautiful.

After this, we will go to the hotel we're staying

to take a shower and rest.

In the future we will make another video with more info

but in the future, some other time.

Now is time to relax.

We just parked the car, we were looking for a parking

for hours and hours and hours,

I feel dizzy for driving around so much.

We parked 5 blocks away from the hotel,

now we have to walk all the way there.

On the way we were looking at the houses,

look what beautiful houses they have

in this place.

Is really beautiful here.

I was talking and talking to the camera earlier thinking that it was recording and no, it wasn't.

When we were driving here I noticed

that the waves on the ocean were really big,

so let's see if we can have good videos.

Oh god, look at this house.

We got here at the right moment.

We're here at the famous Hotel del Coronado.

We wanted to fly the drone but,

we couldn't, is restricted because of

the private airports around.

So we can't fly it.

This is the ocean side walkway and everyone come here to see the sunsets.

Is a beautiful beach.

You will also see surfers but I'm always afraid of

of this area because is always in tsunami 's alert, all this coast of California

What tsunami, I care more about sharks.

Wilson is always afraid of sharks and I remember that in Hawaii

he wanted to do shark cage diving.

You have to face your fears.

Coward, he's a chicken.

We just noticed right now that there is an ice rink on top of the hotel's pool.

It looks like they set it on top of the pool during winter.

We're not gonna try it because I don't wanna break one of my bones.

We are in our room,

we're staying at a small hotel, this is the room, here is Wilson.

A little table, our bed, a huge mirror and

the bathroom,

here it is.

That's it, a TV.

And me.

So now we're gonna take a shower and

get dressed to go out to some bar

around downtown, let see which one is good,

and we will take you with us, so you

can have a drink with us, if you're over

21 is ok, if you're not, then don't.

We got shower and got dressed, this

is what I'm wearing tonight, let me show in the mirror.

to end the night together.

Former Chelsea and Liverpool star Meireles dances on Portuguese TV - Duration: 2:30.

Raul Meireles had some reasonable moves during his Premier League days with Chelsea and Liverpool, but now the former Portugal international is strutting his stuff on television

The 35-year-old isn't taking quietly to retirement, and instead threw himself into primetime Portuguese TV to feature on hit show Lipsync Portugal

Visually transformed from what many fans may remember, Meireles took to the stage sporting a large beard and a rather flamboyant outfit

Meireles didn't shy away from the live audience and multiple cameras trained on his every move, quickly getting into the action and radiating an air of confidence

He took to the stage along with fellow competitors Sara Matos, Diogo Amaral, Clara de Sousa and Aurea, and quickly earned rave reviews

For his song of choice, the former midfielder opted for Antonio Variacoes' anthem 'o corpo e que paga

'The former singer-songwriter became one of the most culturally significant performing artists of recent Portuguese history, despite his short life

Meireles entered the stage imitating the performer, and bore resemblance to Variacoes due to having a similar large beard

The 35-year-old made his name in English football with Kenny Dalglish's Liverpool during the 2010-11 season, before later making the switch to London and signing for rivals Chelsea

He won the League Cup with Liverpool, before going on to collect FA Cup and Champions League winners' medal with Chelsea

Inter-Parliamentary Union Delegation: October 2018 | NZ Parliament - Duration: 5:32.

>> I'm Anne Tolley, the Deputy Speaker for the New Zealand Parliament,

and I led a delegation to Europe, in particular to the IPU conference in Geneva.

>> In Belgium what struck me was the complexity of their government system.

They have a national parliament, they then have two regional parliaments.

They also have smaller parliaments representing culture and different languages.

And of course Brussels is also the home of the European Union.

>> It was just incredible to try and get our heads around the different communities, the

language aspects and the regional components that made up all these different parliaments.

>> We also wanted to support the free trade agreement negotiations that are taking place

at the moment.

One of the things that we were asked to do was to make contact with the Wallonian Parliament.

I was very impressed by the effort that they went to, to meet with us and talk with us

and assure us that the first stage of the agreement would be passed by their parliament

– so that was really important.

>> We had a member of the EU Parliament from the United Kingdom and a member of the EU

Parliament from Germany, and hearing them discuss their various perspectives on Europe,

particularly on Brexit.

>> Many of the European Parliaments joined the EU because they were wanting to see security

and peace within Europe,

whereas the Brits certainly joined the EU because they saw it

as an economic relationship.

>> And so these two fundamentally different perspectives that they're coming at the argument

from were really interesting to see for us sitting in that room... and it got quite heated

over an informal dinner, so you can imagine what it's like for the actual debates.

>> And when we were in France, we met with the French Parliamentary Friendship Group

and we had a good lunch with them.

>> We saw the inside of the most glitzy, glam building ever.

We went into the Luxembourg Castle, which is now the home of the French Senate.

>> The relationship between New Zealand and France is as warm as it has ever been, and

that's because we're both countries making the effort to have

these inter-parliamentary contacts.

>> Then we went on to Switzerland for the actual IPU itself.

My first IPU, that was really interesting to see:

178 countries come together, represented

in Geneva in this massive auditorium for the general assemblies,

and we're discussing issues

that are important for our countries as we see them, and hearing a range of views from

a whole range of different cultures and perspectives.

>> As delegation leader I made the address to the general assembly, talking about the

role of parliamentarians in using science and technology in the ever-changing world

that we find ourselves in.

>> I spend most of my time at these IPU assemblies locked away in a

in a very special but important committee

of ten parliamentarians from around the world, and we look at issues around the human rights

of elected parliamentarians anywhere in the world.

>> We had an urgent debate on sexual harassment and bullying for women parliamentarians.

And what was really interesting about that debate was the number of female parliamentarians

that have been sexually harassed, bullied, had death threats – to know those numbers

from the European study that they conducted.

They found that 82% of female parliamentarians had been bullied, sexually harassed or threatened.

What we need to find out here in New Zealand is: do our figures match that?

Because that's appalling, those statistics.

>> I was elected as second vice president of that Bureau for Women Parliamentarians

for the IPU, which was a great honour both for me personally but also for New Zealand.

>> One of the key things that stood out for me from the IPU was the decision of the general

assembly to over-rule a committee decision that had been made to hold a debate on

freedom of speech, effectively – so whether people can debate potential human rights breaches

against people with LGBTI rights.

So this foundation discussion around whether or not we can even discuss this topic was

absolutely opposed by a number of countries.

And I was just staggered, I suppose, to see that we still have so far to go.

>> I came away with this real understanding... and from now on, whenever I'm seeing or involved

in any such debates or anything in New Zealand Parliament or elsewhere is going on, I'll

have an understanding of that.

>> We had an urgent debate on climate change, and this was relating to the Pacific Islands.

And it was a real privilege for me to be nominated as the chair for that committee.

It was the first time where they've had a debate where there was unanimous support for it.

>> So across the group we took part in all the events that were happening at the IPU,

to make sure that New Zealand is an active participant, and also that we get a lot to

bring back into New Zealand.

>> All in all a fabulous trip.

I absolutely loved my time away with the IPU delegation.

It was a nice blend of new MPs and experienced MPs.

>> I've come back a much better MP, a better informed MP.

It was great to be on a delegation with members of all parties.

>> We take these various political parties...

the one message I have to all of them at the

start of such a tour is that we bury our parliamentary differences.

We go there to represent New Zealand.

And the interesting thing about these delegations is the way that members of Parliament

come together and enjoy each other's company.

We're there as New Zealand parliamentarians.
