today we are going to do one of the most typical

from the city of Kyoto we go to Nara to see deer

today we have momentarily left Kyoto to come to Nara

globally known for the large amount of deer

that there are in its streets, in its parks and in your temples

they are shy, they do not like the camera

There are many stalls where they sell some cookies

for the deer and then of course, they surround you

while you have cookies around you

in fact now we just bought two packages

one for my parents and one for us and to which they see that the purchases already begin you

to pursue

these are the cookies and you know that the

we carry and we do not take them off

Help

no, he bites you

Hey, the horns a little care

that bite my ass

let's give it a piece

come, to you too

a piece for each one

the truth is that they are very funny

a little heavy, the truth when they see you with food

no horns

the horns are scary, huh?

How funny they are

this is harassment

when you do not give them they bite your ass

it has bitten my navel

assassin

Be quiet

yes, stay still

the friend of the deer

It is done

he bit me here

a drool of deer

a little heavy, huh?

but good, very funny

this one here behind is the Todai-ji temple

which is another of the main attractions of Nara after the deer

the main hall of the Todai-ji temple It is the largest wooden building in the world

and that what we see now is a reconstruction 33% smaller than the original building

here inside the temple Todai-ji is the largest buddha in Japan

here behind

this great bronze Buddha measures 15 meters

and weighs 500 tons

this buddha is immense

This impressive temple is a must see if you come to Nara

and obviously it's also declared heritage of humanity

inside this temple there is a hole that they say is the size of the hole

from the nose of Buddha and they say if you can go through the hole

you will be blessed so there are many parents who fight

children to go through the hole

and if you are very thin you can try Xavi is thin but does not dare

I think it does not happen and I'm not going to try it next time we come

when we are older we shrink then we will pass

inside the temple there is also a lot of souvenir stalls

and we have found this deer so funny that I bought it for the car mirror

and Nara puts

it's super cute

he's missing his mouth open and eating cookies

The truth is that it is very nice it's a bit like old but the advantage is

inside you can record and take pictures of everything essential

here the deer are considered sacred animals it is believed that they are divine servants

that's why they're called servants deer

and there are so many because they are sacred animals and they are protected

What?

what do you say?

Do you agree or not? You're so comfortable, huh?

In the surroundings of the Todai-ji temple there is also

some interesting things to see

we have found this temple here

that is super nice we do not know what it's called

then we will look for it Looks good

let's walk a little inside the temple

this structure is also part

of the Buddhist temple of Todai-ji and is considered a national treasure

grimace

hundreds of stone lanterns illuminate the

staircase that goes up to the temple and the corridors that surround it

this temple stands on the hill as a viewpoint over Nara and its mountains

at the beginning of March the Otaimatsu is performed an event in which monks run by

through the corridors of the temple carrying large fire torches

and it is said that if one is bathed with sparks of this fire receives a divine protection

against the evil spirits

these are the torches that the monks use to light the way to the temple

when they arrive at the temple they turn them off and they keep praying until midnight

we have finished the visit to Nara the truth is that it is very advisable

especially because of the deer theme that are here as if they were pets

as if they were your puppy they follow you everywhere if you have food

look, now one comes here what do you want?

we do not have more food and nothing, well, that, if you come to Japan,

We strongly advise you to come here

here in Nara we have seen that technology It is also applied to the situation in

real time buses Each bus has its GPS and each number

he's telling you where he's going Your geolocatable GPS position

with which you know what it will take to arrive and how many are on the way

and now we leave Nara to go back to the city from Kyoto

we are taking advantage of that we stopped in the Kyoto station to see the mega structure

that is the whole season if you go up there is a garden and

there are many sections of escalator and At the end of everything we assume that some

very interesting city views

and if you want to go up the normal stairs

You can also climb normal stairs

Yes, we are very comfortable

this futuristic style station is one of the largest buildings in Japan

incorporates a complex with shopping centers, hotel, cinemas and even a garden at the top

and from here you can also contemplate good views of the city

the truth is that this station is a mega engineering work

it's worth it to go up a moment until here

also comfortably with escalators

to end the day and stay in Kyoto

We are in the Teramachi galleries to frike a little bit to see what we find

the street of Teramachi are covered galleries that are transformed into

a real trap for tourists because here what predominates are the souvenirs

but also a lot of geeks especially from Dragon Ball

we are going up to some galleries to see a anime store that is here in Kyoto that

It's called Animate

the Animate chain is the largest company

in Japan dedicated to the anime industry and the manga

the first store opened its doors in 1983 and there are currently more than 90 stores throughout the country

so if you're passionate about manga and anime

Not to be missed

my mother

what amount of things you would have to spend hours looking at the store

it's a paradise for manga geeks and of the anime

Absolutely, a lot of material

and now it's time for dinner

today we have come to a restaurant for style French

it's called Paris and we will eat wagyu

the wagyu veal is a famous beef Japan they say they massage it so that

be super tender

this is tremendous I find it excellent

the texture is great and the taste is exquisite I find it very good

If you like good meat, it's worth trying it you do not have to ask for much quantity

but at least to savor it and enjoy it

¡Me estafan en Internet!, Moneda Falsa de 8 Reales [4K UHD] - Duration: 6:52.

Welcome to Numismat

Today we have the chronicle of an announced scam and the analysis of a fake piece of 8 reales chick

One of the most sought after pieces by collectors is the 8 reales silver coin from Iturbide

This coin was purchased at an auction site on the Internet announced as 8 reales of 1822, but before issuing any judgment, let's analyze the piece and see what we find

As a main reason we can see the effigy of the mexican emperor Agustín de Iturbide and from here the design looks a bit suspicious

The upper part of the bust looks a bit strange, but the lower part does not show as many anomalies

The year of minting looks well defined but if we see the mark of the mint, the circle looks a bit strange and asymmetric

Another strange detail is the border with that very uneven pattern and with many variations in width, length and separation

Here one of the strangest details since the letter O is missing between R and V

So far this piece is very suspicious but let's see the other side

This eagle design is very sought after and is known as "chick"

The wings and the tail do not look so bad. Let's see it in macro.

The lower part if it is a bit suspicious, the design is weird and different from the original pieces that I've seen

This part is very evident because there are three letters T where we should have a letter I in the center

The weird border and the letters sometimes misaligned in addition to all the above mentioned we are led to think that this coin is obviously fake

Is the edge smooth? Is this a joke? Everything seems to indicate that this is a clear scam

By the way, before making the purchase was asked a question explicit and the seller replied that the coin was genuine

Although from the beginning, it was already rare to see an auction of $25 USD of a coin that usually costs more than $200 USD

The measurements are acceptable for the range that these pieces allows

The weight is also acceptable and is within the appropriate threshold

With the help of a very powerful neodymium magnet, a test was made that showed that is not ferromagnetic, however, it was not absolut inert to the action of the magnet

Everything seems to indicate that it is an apocryphal piece made of silver and although to the naked eye It looks like a genuine coin, has an overwhelming amount of errors

Even so, let's see what coins are with us today

Look at this, in silver, the famous dollar Peace dollar, what a beautiful piece

From Panama, the coin of one balboa in silver and with that beautiful portrait full of details, wow.

From Japan, the one yen coin with that beautiful dragon. Do not miss the video that we have in the channel of this piece. By the way, the piece has already been analyzed and is totally genuine.

The moral of this video is that we have to be very careful where we buy and to whom our pieces so this does not happen again to a friend's cousin

If you liked the video and do not want to miss any of the next works, subscribe and activate the notification bell

Thank you very much for your visit. We'll be alert to all comments. Until next time

Alex Jones and white supremacy: What to do with evil ideas? | Martin Amis - Duration: 2:40.

Salman Rushdie has argued that you can't be—you know, it's idiotic to say you're

above politics, because politics is all around you and above you and beneath you.

I was resistant to that idea, but it's clearly true, isn't it, that it's very hard to

imagine a piece of writing or a longish speech that doesn't have political bearing on us

all.

So I think neutrality is a chimera.

It's not there.

It's a mythical creature.

And evenhandedness is its own trap as well.

I mean if the press had not been so "evenhanded" we would have President Clinton and not President

Trump.

Some things are so clearly wrong, so unshirkably ill-advised that I think being evenhanded

about it is ridiculous.

What do you do with Alex Jones and those people who harass the bereaved parents of Sandy Hook

or Parkland, Florida, and say – and threaten them with death and say they're worthless—what

is the phrase – emergency actors, crisis actors.

Now I'm not going to sit down and say well let's go through your points one after the

other.

And we hear a great deal about being respectful to white supremacists.

I'm not going to be respectful.

I haven't got it in me to be respectful of that.

Some things are malum per se, evil in themselves and the crisis actor business is one of them.

7 Interesting Facts About DARTH REVAN You May Not Know - Duration: 3:45.

Hey everybody and welcome to Leia's Lair.

In this episode I will be going over 7 interesting facts you might not know about Revan.

If you are enjoying the videos, please give them a like, share and subscribe to the channel

so I can continue making them for you.

Now before we begin, we will be covering events that touch on the Knights of the Old Republic.

So if you have not played the game, this is a warning that there could be spoilers for

you.

Number 1: He was a Jedi Prodigy

From the very beginning, Revan had an open view of the force and studied all aspects

of it, including the dark side.

As a padawan, he had an insatiable hunger for knowledge and learned everything that

his master, and many other masters knew.

After achieving the rank of Jedi Knight, he quickly became known as one of the most promising

members of the Jedi Order.

Number 2: He was a master of tactics and warfare

He had ferocious battle plans and maneuvers that even surprised the Mandalorians, individuals

who lived to fight.

During this time in a deciding battle, he activated a superweapon called the mass shadow

generator and sacrificed an enormous amount of his own men to crush the mandalorian army.

He was also able to defeat the Mandalorian leader, Mandalore the ultimate in single combat.

Number 3: He turned to the dark side

Together with his apprentice Malak, Revan vanished into the unknown regions to investigate

a mysterious Sith influence behind the war.

Here they met Sith Emperor Vitiate who corrupted their minds and turned them into Sith Lords.

Number 4: He had his mind wiped by the Jedi After Revan was nearly killed by Malak, Bastila

kept him alive through the force and took him back to the Jedi for judgement.

Here he had his mind wiped and then was retrained as a Jedi.

He eventually learned of this, but decided to stay with the light and find the Star Forge,

the source of Malak's power.

Number 5: He married Bastila Shan after the Battle of Rakata Prime

While carrying attachments is normally frowned upon by the Jedi Order, the wedding between

Revan and Bastila was approved by the Jedi Council on the condition he agreed not to

spread his newfound philosophy of love.

They then resided on Coruscant.

Number 6: He had 4 masters

The Jedi Master Kreia claimed to have been his first teacher in the ways of the Force.

However, her teachings, were looked upon with concern by the Jedi Council.

In order to round out his education, he went on to study with a number of other Jedi masters,

learning from Master Lestin, the enclave's chronicler, as well as Master Dorak and Arren

Kae.

Number 7.

He was essentially the start of the Rule of Two

Three millennia after Revan's death, Darth Bane discovered his Sith Holocron inside the

Rakatan temple.

Bane went onto studying the holocron extensively, learning Revan's teachings on the dark side

of the Force and his knowledge on ancient Sith rituals.

Bane would then go onto destroying the reigning brotherhood of Darkness, creating his own

Sith Order using the teachings from Darth Revan's Holocron.

This included the Rule of Two.

And there you have it!

Thanks for watching everyone!

What did you think about these Revan facts?

Do you know any other interesting facts about him?

Let me know down below in the comment section.

And remember to like, share and subscribe to the channel for more great videos to come.

I hope to see you all again in Leia's Lair.

Cookies & Home Sweet Home - - The JSquared Circle #5 (Q&A) - Duration: 28:23.

Hey everybody JSquared Jon Jeremy here, back with another

question and answer session. We've got several questions

this time around, so if you've got a question of your own make

sure to post in the comments below. I do have a business

trip I'm going on next week. So I'm I plan on a special question

and answer episode for next week, but we'll collect all those

questions from you guys in we'll answer them

in future episodes as well so let's go and get started here

our first question comes from No NoGoBoy13, he's actually

got a two part of question here. They don't really coincide with

each other so we'll take them one at a time. First question is,

what did you study in college and why? So the funny enough

really especially, somebody, who works at a technology company, I

studied political science. When I was in college and I

wanted to go into politics and it just happened to be that

I hate it.

I absolutely did not like that path for me, after I had

started to go to school for it and it was weird for me

personally because I have,

I guess an optimistic outlook on life and on you know what

we should be as as a people, as a nation, as a  race

altogether as humanity as a

species and politics can be a very grimy business and I saw

the underbelly of that and I didn't like it. I didn't like it

at all, so it was really weird for me and in fact, for the next

couple of years afterward, I was

kind of lost. Because I didn't really know what to do with myself. Now that

that I had this path set for me, had been thinking about

it for several years. So now come to find out that I don't

like it at all, and what to do. So luckily, after after a

couple of years I managed to find a place that I enjoy

working at and of course what I do here on YouTube I mean if I didn't have

this outlet here I really don't know who I would be, this is such

a huge part of my life. Nowadays, I wish I had went to

school for I guess I still can go to school for things like.

Social media and communications as a whole, videography because,

you know, I'm stretching the limits right now as it is

when it comes to what I can do with the green screen behind me

and the video camera in front of me, so this talking

head thing is like bare bones

stuff really. So maybe in the future you know, I'll take some classes on

how to upgrade my own skills when it comes to these sort

of recordings, but that's in the future. But I appreciate the

question. His second question is really I guess out of left field

one. What is your favorite cookie?

Well, personally my favorite cookie either has to be

chocolate chip cookie, warmed up just enough so that it doesn't

crumble your hand but that the gooey, that the chocolate inside

becomes gooey and you can kind of feel it stick to the inside your

mouth a little bit. That's I'm

starting to salviate thinking of it right now, that is a

fantastic cookie. Another cookie I like, funnily enough, is oatmeal. I

love. I can have oatmeal cookies all day everyday no

problem at all. Cinnamon cookies, too, same thing. I don't really know why.

And truthfully I'm not that much of a cookie eater but those would

be like my top 3 go tos of cookies, so there, you go. That

answers your question NoNo. Not really sure why you wanted to

know that in particular, but there you go. Our next question

again another two-part question

comes from Jacob Mackey and his first question is,

Some YouTubers have to go through several drafts of what

they want to say before they record do you have that problem.

No Jacob. I probably have the opposite problem in that I don't

think before I start talking, like right now. I'm reading

these questions. There is no script. I'm not really. It's

basically stream of conscious answering here.

I'm reading the questions then I'm asking them directly so

I kind of have the opposite problem here. I probably should

have like a teleprompter somewhere where I can write down

a couple of notes. I probably wouldn't want to go like on a

full script, but a couple notes here and there will probably be

nice. There are a few exceptions to that, though I recall.

When I do like big intros to a video game. I do like to have

something prepared for. Case and Point would be Valkyria

Chronicles. I loved recording that opening for Valkyria

Chronicles because I was listening to the music as I was

doing it and if you never seen the

Valkyria Chronicles videos, I highly recommend them. I highly

recommend the series as a whole. The Games, one day we will play

Valkyria Chronicles 4. But Valkyria Chronicles one is a

fantastic game and its soundtrack is phenomenal so I

was listening to that, while I was writing up my intro

and then I would speak it while again listening to that to

that soundtrack. So it would kind of go with the flow there.

That's in a case where I would want to have something written,

but otherwise 95% of what I do when I'm recording, I'm recording

it stream of consciousness style. So no, I don't have that problem Jacob and I

wouldn't really call it a problem per say. You know,

there are several instances where it is good to have a

script in place, especially where you want to make sure you

get your point across and you don't forget about them.

In a very short video like I'm thinking like ten-fifteen minutes.

You want to make sure that you're getting the maximum use

out of those, 10-15 minutes now in our case here, we kind of go

longer, so we can afford a break here and there, but when you're

running against the clock. It's kind of important to make sure

you get your point across in a way that entices the viewer to

come back for more. His, Jacob second question is would you love to do

a full multiplayer campaign of CK2 with Aulddragon, and other

YouTubers? So we've done a couple of campaign series with Aulddragon.

I don't think we... Don't think we finished any of them. I recall two off the

top of my head, we did one where we use the after the end mod and

we did one where we're playing as Zunist, which is pretty fun

praise the sun. We also did one way back at the very beginning

of when we played Crusader Kings

2 with GrimithR [Currently just Grimith]. So we have done multiplayer campaigns. The

biggest problem that I have with them, it's not it's not

having to do with any of the other YouTubers. It has to do

with myself. I have a very limited schedule and my time is

very restricted when it comes to being able to collaborate with

other YouTubers, that's because I have a full time job along

with doing this, that's not to say that I wouldn't want to do a

multiplayer campaign, But honestly at this point, I would

have to like specifically

designate time that I would be available and the YouTuber that

I'd be collaborating with would also have to be available and

would probably have to make their schedule work with mine

rather than I work with it there's and that's, you know,

there has to be some give and take their and what I found is

that all I can do really is

take in this sort of scenario. So if there we came to a point where we could do a

multiplayer campaign without having to worry about a

schedule absolutely but

I would probably have to not be working, while doing it so.

Yes, I would love to probably a bit hard to make that happen Jacob,

probably a little bit hard. Sorry about that. Our

next question comes from SpaceMan... Sorry not spaceman, ScarfaceMan77

and he writes, What gives you the most

entertainment when it comes to CK2 and what has been

the most pleasant surprise?

That's an interesting question, Scarface, what gives me the most

entertainment? What gives me the most entertaining about a

game like Crusader Kings two is that I theoretically don't have

to do anything

and the game will tell a story by itself, and I've said this a

couple times in these questions, in these Q&A sessions and we

even in my Vlogs. Crusader Kings 2 has the unique ability to be

able to tell a story without direct player intervention, if

you were to simply start it at

769 and stopped it at 1453, I guarantee you no two campaigns

would be the exact same. No two campaigns would be the exact same

and that's The Mark, what I feel, of a great game. That gives me

the most entertainment. One day we may just say, "Hey let's do

that and I would literally commentate

over the changing of time in that map without having to play

it, with just just watching it happen. I find that to be a

really unique thing. A really unique experience to be able to

do. There are a couple of other games that could possibly do

that. But Crusader Kings two, to me, is the stand out when it comes

to that, so maybe one day. We'll make it happen. I don't know,

but that that's what gives me the most Entertainment, is that

I can just look away from a section of the map and then go

back to it, you know twenty ingame years later and then oh my god

everything has changed. I also love the fact that if you

dive deeper, besides just map changes, If you dive deeper into

the families themselves. You can pinpoint what happened with that

family. What's happened? What's going on. Case and point,

There's a point in our Crusader Kings two, our current Crusader

Kings 2 series where the King of Lombardy has been excommunicated

from... By the pope and he is in a war with Aragon over in

Spain. Aragon wins that war, so this King is then deposed and his son

comes to power. Well you would think, OK, son moves on. No that

King has a vassal so loyal that the vassal proceeds to murder

their child, a few months after in game and then because the child is killed

his heir is the father again, so king I think is named King

Adelges The First comes back to power after his son King Adelges

The Second is murdered because of that Count's loyalty. Because of that lord's

loyalty and the fact that the game can tell that story in

such a way that we as the player without even needing to

be a part of that experience and able to figure out what's going

on. That's that's awesome. That gives me the entertainment

value. That's one of the reasons why I have a thousand plus

hours of playing that game and I don't intend on stopping anytime

soon, unless there's Crusader Kings Three coming around paradox. Make it

happen. I'll be happy to test it as well. And then the second

half of your question, which is what has been the most pleasant

surprise, probably is that.

The fact that seven years later, seven years later this game came out in

2012, seven years later I am still playing this game. That is the

most pleasant surprise. If you equate game time to dollars

spent. It's no contest I have gotten my moneys worth, and then

some. You look at Crusader Kings 2 today and you know, there is

there are comments about how paradox does its whole how it

does monetization instead of it being like microtransactions

within a game. Instead

it's it's by purchasing downloadable content and

expansion packs post game launch, so you have to decide if you're

OK with... If you're not OK with microtransactions you have to be

OK with expansion packs and

downloadable content. Even with all that said, I think I

think the game runs if you were to buy the game right now

at full price and with all downloadable content. I think

it runs somewhere around 300 bucks. I think don't quote me

on that. I didn't check it before I said it so if it's

higher, my apologies.

So if you look at the game and then you look at all the downloadable

content Three Hundred-Four Hundred dollars but then you look at the game time that is

spent in that game in my case, a thousand hours plus. In other

peoples cases at least thirty-forty-fifty-sixty

a hundred-two hundred hours, if you invested that much money into the game

you're probably a fan of that game at that point, so you're

enjoying your experience, well if you're enjoying your experience

then it's a pleasant surprise that you've gotten your money's

worth. It happens so rarely in this day and age of

video gaming I can name plenty of games where I have not gotten

my moneys worth, and I have made terrible terrible mistakes. I

have games. Truthfully, I have games that I've spent lifetimes...

Champions online. And no no fault against the developers,

which is cryptic studios. No fault of them. I purchased a

lifetime subscription to champions online back when the

game first launched, it launched back in 2009. It's now 2019, and

I have never played

past the tutorial of that game.

And I spend the I think the lifetime subscription at that

time was like 300 bucks.

So I've spent three hundred dollars on a game that I've not played so that's an

unpleasant surprise, but it's a reality for me. Meanwhile,

with Crusader Kings two I've I've spent Three hundred-four hundred dollars whatever wasn't

gifted or given it to me by

paradox. I have spent that money in that game, and have gotten a

thousand hours plus. In that game, so that's the pleasant

surprise. And I hope to have more of those pleasant surprises

in the future. Hopefully, in this day and age you never know, you don't know.

But great question ScarfaceMan. Our next question comes from

Weks, not whelks Weks... Welks is Valkyria Chronicles again. I've

got... I've got Valkyria Chronicles on the brain and

Wek's question is, What is your

favorite alcoholic drink? If you don't touch the stuff, what

is your favorite non-alcoholic drink so I don't really drink

Weks every now and again occasionally I'll have whatever a

group is having. I'm a social drinker, I guess is what

you would say, and again very rarely to that effect, very,

very rarely. Most of the time I'll just stick with water,

honestly, coffee is probably my fave my favorite non alcoholic

drink. I love coffee. I grew up with the stuff in my household

you drank coffee every day, every morning there was a pot.

Being brewed by the time I woke up to get ready to go to school

like that was just that just happened that was that was there

and it's a part of me today for that matter and as far as like

the types of coffee go. It depends like you can have your

French press style, you can have your drip brew.

There are tons of different ways that you can have your coffee,

but I love. I love fresh coffee. I love grinding. The beans

myself, and then putting them into the into the Brewer. I just bought a

new Brewer, actually, I haven't set it up yet, but it's a new

Ninja Brewer and I'm looking forward to

trying that one out. I was going to go with a Brevel, but it

would cost a little bit too much for me and I was just like

not quite not quite ready to be that committed. So the Ninja

should be nice. I'm looking forward to taking that for spin.

Besides coffee, I've started to get into Tea.

Mostly herbal teas, but I have tried a few black and green

teas, which is sad for me because there used to be a

Tivana next to me like where I where I work and it's just

like not there anymore,

Unfortunately closed down way back in the day like two years ago,

maybe no not even a year ago I want to say they closed that shop

down so can't get your Tea there anymore. But there's a Starbucks

in that same area, in that same little strip and

they have like the Little tea packets there that I enjoy so

yeah, tea, coffee. I used to be a big... I used to be a big milk drinker

actually as well, but having some stomach troubles in this

day and age, milk doesn't go over very well with me anymore.

C'est la Vie. I'm trying to think if there's anything else that I

used I used to be heavy into soda as well. Coke pop whatever

you want to call it but I've kind of cut that out, over

the past month and I really don't miss it. Honestly, you

start to forget what it tastes

like so that's better for me, I guess but yeah, primarily just

coffee is my favority go to drink. Orange juice is

another one. I love a good a good orange juice or apple

juice. Truthfully, especially like in the morning. maybe with

like a breakfast, some eggs,

some bacon, some Orange juice. Oh so good so good and then get your orange juice you

down that first and then you have your coffee while you're

eating your food. Aww...

So good so good great question Weks apparently because now I'm

thinking about breakfast. I need to find a breakfast place now

'cause. It's too late for breakfast, cool and our next

question comes from Chris

Henington, this is a first for Christ here. Chris asks, Hey J, 2, I know that you've

lived in the Pacific Northwest. How do you like it? Where do you

heil from originally. So Chris I actually live in the Pacific

Northwest right now. I live in Oregon. I've moved around quite

a bit over the past couple of years though, I've lived in Utah, I've lived in

Washington, I've lived in

Oregon. But I originally heil from New Jersey and I lived there for the first

twenty or so years of my life and

I guess the biggest thing that I enjoy about the Pacific

Northwest that was a pain for me in New Jersey is the space

that's available. I don't feel cramped in the Pacific

Northwest. At least where I live, I know if you go to like

downtown Seattle or downtown Portland. You know the big

cities you still kind of feel that urban

environment but where I live. It's spacious, you know, and

there's trees and there's fresh air and you really at least

where I lived in New Jersey. Everything was kind of like

urbanized, suburbanized there weren't that... there wasn't that much

space. I always used to joke that

in order for someone to build something in New Jersey, you kind

of had to tear something down first and you know a lot of

cases and a lot of times, truth be told there's alot of history

in New Jersey and that's one thing that I miss about it is that you

can go to like these older buildings. Hundreds of years

old. These churches and these

city halls, these structures that just aren't present here in the Pacific

Northwest because you know it's only been about a hundred to a hundred-fifty years

since the Pacific Northwest was settled so there's a big

difference there. Of course, nothing compares to places in

Europe where there is thousands of years of history there so.

It's all a matter of perspective really, but yeah I originally

heil from New Jersey and one thing that I get chided on a

little bit. I know that at this point, probably there's not too

much of an accent left but there are a few times where there are

words that I say that

I have to think about what I'm saying before I say it otherwise

a slip of the accent might come out. Like for example, the

word yesterday. I have to... I have to think about when I'm

saying the word yesterday. Otherwise, I'll just say

yesterday and that's me

just kind of going back to that accent, so it... I don't even know

truthfully if it is a New Jersey in specific thing but that's

just the way I was when I was growing up. That's the word I

would use yeterday versus yesterday. When I remember when

I lived in Utah somebody called a creak

a crick and I was like what the hell? What's a crick? So accents

change all over the U.S. just so large that you've got different

accents within the same nation, obviously so... I don't know how

I started talking about accents when the question was how do you like the

Pacific NorthWest. So this is the part where I wish I had a script

and I had at least had like talking points to review because I just

kind of went off on a tangent there again. Other things I

like about the Pacific Northwest is that I enjoy the weather

here, truthfully and, yah know, people say, "Well it's too cloudy in the Pacific

Northwest, there's no sun." And, yes, it's cloudy, but I'll take

cloudy over the humidity that can sometimes happen on the Jersey

coast, especially in the summer time, like you can feel like

you're take a shower and you're sitting on your couch in New

Jersey versus here in Oregon where,

you know, I think the worst I've gotten so far as a wind chill

every now and again and even then, it's very minor only lasts

for a day or so, there has been no snow here this past year. At

least where I live so the whole polar... Polar vortex thing that

happened a week or so ago, didn't

happen here, we didn't get it. I'm OK with all that, I'm absolutely OK with

all that. I think one last thing that I enjoy specifically about

the Pacific Northwest is just that the pace here is different

and I used to not like it. I used to... I used to be annoyed by

it, when I lived in Jersey everything kid of goes

at a faster pace and you're just used to that,  that's how you're born

that's how you're raised, everything has to be go go go, but

when you move... When I first moved to Utah and that's not Pacific

Northwest, that's more just like the rocky area. Things slow down

quite a bit and then still here in Oregon and in Washington people just take their

time, that's just the way that things are here and I'm OK with

that. Now I've kind of gotten used to that actually so I do

enjoy that aspect of the Pacific Northwest. So I hope that

answers your question Chris, I don't know how long I'll be

staying in the Pacific Northwest. That's always, that's

always up to the powers that be.

But I enjoy it, I enjoy my time while I've been living here.

Absolutely. And that is that is our last question for today's Q and A

video. Now as I mentioned next week I'm going on a business

trip and I won't have time to to record a Q&A video with your

questions for next week, So what

I'm going to do next week, so everyone's aware in advance. I'm going to create

my own questions that I'd like you to answer and I think

that this would be a nice give and take here where, you know, I

would love to hear more specific feedback along a few questions

that I have and I hope you all

can spare a few minutes to answer them for me. It

doesn't have to be one person answering the questions, I invite

as many answers to the same questions as possible. Please

that really helped it's almost like a survey if you really want

to think about it that way. But that will be coming out next

week and then the following

week, we'll continue again with our regular Q and A sessions so

that's my plan. Until next time this is JSquared

Jon Jeremy signing out, saying so long and take care.

What's up Members of the Barrio

It's Jon coming to you from Grand Central Station

In Manhattan

And every single day 750,000 people

Make there way through here

Making it the busiest train terminal in the world

And i'm going to be sharing with you

Some tips, tricks, and secrets

So that the next time you come here

You're never going to look at this place the same way again

Make sure to leave me a comment down below

When the videos done telling me what you think Here we go

Alright guys we're going to be starting this tour

In front of the Campbell

Which is a speakeasy bar

And you know how much I love covering speakeasies on this channel

I've got Jennifer O'Brien with me

A fellow vlogger

Doing an exclusive video about this place

And we're going to be putting a card up above

To her video

Make sure to check it out

But Jen

What are we doing

Yes, so this is the Campbell.. it used to be called the Campbell Apartment

This is actually where John Williams Campbell had his apartment

Not to live

Just to party

Now it's a bar

I have so many other amazing things

Check it out

And let's grab a drink

Let's grab a drink

Well before we grab that drink

Just remember i'm calling it a speakeasy because

It's a little tricky to find

And the decor here is super swank

Gilded age Manhattan

Originally leased in 1923.

You'll find peak crowds around rush hour

And while the drinks were delicious

They're not cheap

My big in japan cocktail with Suntori Whiskey cost $19

But if you want to soak in a really cool vibe

Before or after

Exploring Grand Central

I highly recommend it

People are always in a rush

That's the nature of a train terminal

But did you know that the times listed above

For departures are always one minute to early

That's right the conductors here have been trained

To always leave 1 minute later

Than the scheduled times above

So the next time you're in a super rush

Take a deep breath

And realize.. you've got one extra minute to go.

Whispering Gallery

We're at the whispering gallery

And nobody's quite sure if this was designed intentionally or not

But you can put your mouth here

Talk

And your friend on the other side diagonally is going to hear you

Loud and clear

The original waiting room

We're in Vanderbilt Hall

Built in 1913

And this used to be the main waiting room at Grand Central

It was once referred to

As the Gateway To The Nation

As it was the beginning of the trans continental railroad

Today.. its a food court

If you can take a minute to admire this room

You'll imagine the thousands of Americans who started big journeys right in this space

That most commuters are just hustling through

Nobody ever talks about the food court at Grand Central

I think it's one of Manhattan's best

You can sample two new york favorites here

Shake Shack

And Magnolia Bakery

Those look really good

This place has everything from Indian to Corned Beef

And pastrami sandwiches

It's about as diverse as New York itself

Of all the random things you can do at Grand Central Station

Playing Tennis might be tops on the list

Tennis courts at Grand Central Station?

You better believe it

Find the Campbell Apartment door from the street

Go to the elevator

Tap floor 4

And you've made it to this super random tennis court

It's going to cost you 200 dollars an hour but..

Depending on the novelty is worth to you

Give it a try?

A secret Train track

Let's talk about Track 61

And just because you can't see it

Doesn't mean it's not there

We talk did talk about secrets in the intro didn't we?

Located behind a locked door on 49th street

This now defunct track

Once served as a direct route from Grand Central

To the Waldorf Astoria Hotel

Probably the most famous person to take the train here was President Franklin Delano Roosevelt

Whose car would be lifted directly to the Waldorf's elevators

To hide his worsening polio condition

Rumor has it that current presidents can still use it

As an escape route in an emergency

You can only access it with special permission

And if you can get in

Make sure to bring your favorite New York City vlogger with you !

Deep below Grand Central is a hidden former power station known

As M42

It's existence wasn't even made public until the 1980s

And it played a critical role during World War 2

My friend and fellow creator Jacob Carlson managed to snag

A now unavailable tour of M42

A few years back

Card to that video above

And if you can manage to get down here with permission

It'll feel like being in an old bomb shelter

As you are deep underground

The converters once powered large portions of the New York Central Railroad

This was a prized Nazi Target during World War 2

Sabatoging M42 was on Hitler's list

Had they have been succesful they would have slowed down 80% of troop and war movements in the Northeast

A pretty scary thought

Installed in 1914 this is the World's Largest piece

Of Tiffany stained glass

With a circumfrence of 13 feet

It's set every second by the atomic clock in the Naval Observatory in Bethesda

So it's extremely accurate

And is guarded by Mercury, Hercules and Minerva up top

Restoration on this clock began in 1992

And took an astonishing 12 years

To complete

One of my favorite things to do when i'm at Grand Central

Is to stare up at the ceiling

Because... it's like being inside a Planetarium

The zodia mural up above

Is one of New York City's best pieces

Of public art

The signs of the zodiac from October to March

Are above

Along with some other famous constellations

But did you know that it's actually backwards

Or as some would say

Like God is looking down on it

But if you ask me

It's still a work of art

Even with its imperfections

And one of the most iconic sites in all of the Big Apple

Guys tell me down below in the comments

Africa Eco Race 2019 the best of … Part 1 - Duration: 21:15.

I'm really happy to be part of the Africa Eco Race,

because at the end we run again through the route of the real Paris Dakar, and of this I am enthusiastic

it was a truly navigated stage, 90 kilometers but really very demanding on navigation,

my Yama was perfect indeed everything today was perfect

I opened the stage in front and I was in front almost from all stage, but 80 km from the end Pal Anders get to me and we continued the stage together,

once again a lot of navigation, it was wonderful, it was a magnificent stage,

430 km really difficult ...

it's an incredible race, I hope other riders come to do this race, it's really a beautiful competition

it's difficult to make a difference here, if you leave first you have to make a track so it's difficult to win back minutes.

I tried in stage one to make a gap. I have a little advance now but probably will change in Mauritania because Pal Anders it will open the pist and it will a disadvantage for him

it's my first Africa Race, and think it's the most incredible race, once again it all comes from the navigation,

everything it's fantastic! I love the desert there is no one for miles and you have to do it all alone

a beautiful day for the rest day, teams and organizers are preparing for the second week of the race;

this is what happens at the rest day at the Africa Eco Race 2019

The strong wind of Dakhla has "blocked" the 6th stage of the Africa Eco Race.

The three helicopters of the organization could not get up in flight and therefore,

the security requirements have been canceled, the special has been canceled.

The whole caravan of the pilots has reached the bivouac of Chami about 260 kilometers from the border, by road.

It starts again tomorrow, with the first part of the marathon stage.

Royal Az - Prince Charles told friends he could 'go gay' before marrying Diana - Duration: 2:40.

The claims come in a new British documentary about the private lives of the royal heirs, fronted by UK TV presenter Jeremy Paxman, reports The Sun

In Paxman on the Queen's Children, to be screened this week in the UK, the TV presenter speaks to friends of Charles, Anne, Andrew and Edward

One of Charles' good friends said he made his "go gay" comment before he had met his future wife Diana, claimed the Mirror

Discussing an old newspaper story about "potential brides" for the heir, Broderick Munro-Wilson tells Paxman: "I thought the only possibility was Caroline of Monaco

" But he said Charles was not tempted by any of his suitors and once joked: "Shall I go gay?" Munro-Wilson says: "We all roared with laughter and moved on … They had a lot of fun

" In an interview in 1969, Charles revealed his struggles in love, adding: "You've got to remember when you marry, in my position, you're going to marry someone who perhaps one day will become Queen

" In 1973 Charles walked away from Camilla and spent eight months with the Navy in the Caribbean and in July Camilla married Andrew Parker Bowles

Charles was said to "absolutely heartbroken" and reportedly wrote to his uncle Lord Mountbatten saying "I suppose shall eventually get over it"

In a bid get over Camilla and find a potential wife the "playboy prince" then dated 20 women over a period of 10 years

Charles then married Diana in 1981 but their marriage broke down after it emerged he was having an affair with Camilla

The pair divorced in 1996. Charles later rekindled his relationship Camilla and the two married in a civil service in 2005

This story was originally published in The Sun and is reprinted with permission.

RossDraws is my senpai.

How dare you say anything negative about my senpai!

Who is this dark man sitting in a dark room saying dark things about my senpai?!

Omae wa mou shindeiru!

Matte.

Nani?!

The one saying dark things about senpai is me.

This means I will have to destroy . . . myself.

Greetings, parasocial parish.

Rejoice, for today father is blessing you with phenomenal acting.

That skit I did in the beginning doesn't deserve an Oscar.

The Oscars deserve me.

I volunteer as sacrifice to host the 2019 Oscar's.

I'm funny, I'm not Kevin Hart, and I've never said anything remotely controversial

in my entire life.

A video was recently made that stirred up some drama in the art community.

I'm not going to call them out--

D'Angelo Wallace--

D'Angelo or something like that--

was from D'Angelo Wallace--

It's- it's- it's high school drama multiplied by a million--

There's another YouTuber named D'Angelo Wallace who brought up a really good point--

I just want to talk about D'Angelo Wallace, right--

I don't understand why people are so ridiculous--

--was kind of like, what exactly are you telling us?

--Sis, you was doing that for coin, let's be real--

--discussing a controversy--

he's very funny--

--it was an unfunny drama video--

Nevermind I'm stepping down as Oscar's host.

That means I'm going to need money from another source.

Let's talk about a popular YouTuber.

Who is RossDraws.

He's a very popular artist who makes very bright YouTube videos about how to draw.

He's skilled at what he does and his artwork is universally appreciated.

I certainly appreciate it.

The most popular video on my channel is actually me trying to follow one of his tutorial videos

for 12 minutes straight.

Now, I released that video 10 months ago and I would never make a video like that today,

because

why would I make more than ten minutes of content.

I operate in the space between bare minimum and not good enough, and that space ends exactly

at the ten minute mark.

RossDraws is very nice in his videos, and the one singular interaction I've had with

him which is a comment on my video was also nice, he justseems like a nice person.

I've literally never seen him respond to anyone in a shady way, and he minds his own

business and focuses on his own artwork.

I think what I'm trying to say is he's not me.

I love it when people in the art community start talking especially about me but RossDraws

really keeps to himself and makes really good videos.

So why are people getting so mad at him, especially on Instagram and Twitter?

Well, you will never guess the reason why.

Unless you read the title.

But you know, it's a little more involved than just tracing.

Now, a couple of people have already made videos about this situation, but those people

aren't me so I didn't watch them.

Just kidding, those people are subscribers so we love them.

Plus they're videos were really good.

They pretty much covered the entire topic so there's really no reason for me to jump

in with my opinion, but I also want views.

Plus I'm looking at the "tracing" situation a little differently, so let's get into

it .

(Pretty picture, right?

Redhead, nice smile, and over 1,000 comments angrily demanding that RossDraws credits this

picture.

Pretty redhead, nice smile, and a 100% match in the face area.

I think it's important for me to explain that I'm using the word tracing as a simplification

for overpainting.

Because if you watch RossDraws' videos you'll see, he doesn't draw lines over the image,

he paints directly over top of it.

That is a perfectly valid way of working, and that is not the issue.

The issue is that this is not his image.

Please don't misinterpret this as me saying you have to post the full name, Instagram

handle, and social security of every person you paint, or you're going to jail.

I don't think that's true, and if it is, see you in jail.

Just kidding, I do post their social security numbers.

What I'm saying is that if you are painting or tracing over, whatever method you're using

directly over top of someone's else's image without their permission, without their

knowledge, it's probably a good idea to at least mention them when you upload it.

Can't wait for the tutorial where Ross teaches us how to get away with using other people's

work without their permission and not get caught.

Actually, he did get caught it probably wouldn't be a very good tutorial.

Tracing is such a bad word in the art community but that doesn't change the fact that people

still do it, especially in a professional setting.

Now, full disclosure, if it wasn't obvious, I'm not a professional artist.

Ross Tran is a professional artist.

And you, the girl watching this video, are also not a professional artist so do not go

in the comment section and try to tell me that this is normal behavior for professional

artists.

I wanted to know if that was true myself, so I actually asked real professional artist

Ethan Becker.

He worked on Voltron.

My camera just died and I think it's crooked now but I'm not fixing it.

Anyway, I asked Ethan Becker on Instagram about what he thinks about not just RossDraws,

but many accounts on hat are taking other people's photographs and painting over them,

and oftentimes not even crediting them.

Now, Ethan actually said painting over photographs almost becomes a necessity when you're working

on an industry deadline, and he said it's very plausible RossDraws needs to pump out

videos and pump out artwork faster so he's using these kinds of shortcuts in his work.

And again, that's perfectly valid.

It almost makes sense, it's smart in my opinion.

But, it's also worth noting that Ethan said when he paints over other people's photographs,

he makes sure that by the end of it, the original photograph is completely lost.

I think you would be hard-pressed to argue that that is what Ross is doing.

Yes, while painting over other people's photographs may be normal, having those photographs show

up in their entirety in your finished artwork is not normal at all, and could potentially

get you sued.

Ross painted this one for 600k sub celebration on Instagram.

Um, was there some sort of professional deadline for that?

Again, he's completely free to use other people's work and take shortcuts to make

his job faster, but it's just kind of like if I took a photograph of him, painted over

it, liquified it, stylized it, and then uploaded it and didn't give him any credit whatsoever.

It's a little like that.

It's exactly like that.

That is what he's doing.

Remember when I said you could get sued?

That's kind of a heavy thing to just say, so here's an example of Netflix using this

photograph of a cloud.

Guess what intellectual property attorney David Deal had to say about that situation.

"All fair use considerations are not created equal.

At its core, Netflix's use of the photograph is aesthetic, not satirical or politi-----

"This is not fair use" is what it says.

I'm not reading that.

So as you can see, a professional opinion, a legal opinion, this is not the industry

standard.

So, can't wait to still read a bunch of comments telling me that this is what professionals

do.

And you know, I don't even know what the assumption is when tracing over other people's

work and not disclosing that you're doing that, whether the assumption is that people

will think less of the painting because it's traced, or whether people will think less

of RossDraws for using references, which is far from the truth.

There's obviously there's nothing wrong with using references and Ross paints over

photographs in his videos, so it wouldn't be a surprise to anybody.

The issue is the utter lack of transparency.

From Ross's videos, I got the impression that the only photographs he paints over are ones

he takes himself.

He literally has photoshoots just to capture the perfect references.

He makes it very clear that that he is the one taking these photos, but apparently, he

is also taking photos--

from other people.

I don't understand why you wouldn't at least disclose that you are using these people's

work without their permission.

Actually that's probably why, isn't it.

No matter how you look at the situation, artists' work are being used without credit, and the

fact that the person doing this is such a staple in the art community is disappointing

in it's own right.

Now, what if the models who ross was painting over literally don't care?

As Ethan Becker said, do you still give them credit if you're painting next to them and

not over them?

Becker's point is that nothing is truly original and because of that, it kind of makes

getting upset over it pointless.

And you know what, the model in this case never specifically asked to be credited.

She legitimately might not care, and that would make the 1,000 comments on the post

asking Ross to credit a little bit silly.

But that situation doesn't hold up because RossDraws used images from another redhead.

Her also being a redhead has nothing to do with anything--

The DeviantArt user FaeStock clearly lays out: "Contact me clearly if you have used

any of my stock.

Please include a link to my DeviantArt profile".

RossDraws used her stock for one of his paintings and did not include a link to her profile

whatsoever.

She commented on it, she even sent him a DM asking him to do so, and she got no reply.

Now, he has since gone back and updated it to add her link in the description, but the

photo was up for over a year before that happened, so . . . a year.

If we use other people's work, we should give those people credit, especially if they're

asking for it.

Especially if you're an artist.

That is my point in this video.

Lastly, I will end this by saying we are not cancelling RossDraws, okay we're not going

to "end his career".

He puts a lot of work into his channel, his videos have helped me a lot personally, and

using his name for views has helped me even more.

I know you're thinking "oh you're just throwing this at the end to make yourself

seem less toxic" but no, I am being serious.

Ross's career isn't ending on my watch.

I got half a million views last time I used his name.

If RossDraws isn't thriving, my channel isn't thriving, so his career needs to stay

alive so my can my socialblade can stay alive.

If you need somebody to cancel after watching this video, cancel me, I could use the exposure.

And you better believe, I will be monetizing my apology video.

All seven of them.

None of which will be genuine.

Anyway, looks like I've gotten ten minutes of content out of this, so leave a like, tell

me what you think and subscribe if you haven't already.

Thank you for watching and a big thank you to my 77,000 subscribers.

Okay bye.

Joe Biden: Healthcare in the US | In-Person | J.P. Morgan - Duration: 2:30.

It's really, really complicated.

But what I found out that disappointed me the most is things that I'd imagine if I told

you or told the audience that were… weren't happening // There's not much collaboration

at all, with knowing that the more collaboration we get to cures much more quickly.

// For example, when my son had his cancer genome // a lot of things that I learned that

were impediments that existed; silos had been built up of information and data that were

not accessible.

Whereas if they were put together, we'd move a lot more quickly to finding answers on how

to deal with these cancers.

I think what they can do and should be doing is moving as strongly as they can to put pressure

on their elected representatives and on companies to begin to move more systematically and rapidly

toward dealing with cures to cancer that are available to us now, and making them affordable

and accessible to people.

// I was, vice president of the United States.

I literally had an entire Air Force available to me to get me anywhere I needed to get,

to get my son to the right doctors, hospitals, et cetera, and I thought to myself, what would,

how would people I grew up in my neighborhood in Claymont, Delaware, how do they do it?

How do they-- just practical things, like if you have a neighbor who is going through

chemotherapy, // If they are going through a particularly difficult time, offer to watch

their home for them.

Offer to drive them.

// and make a world of difference.

I know that sounds so overly simplistic, but it can change people's lives.

There are so many things to look forward to, it's the things we can do to prevent cancer

in the first place, diagnose it when it occurs, to get it early, be in a position once it's

diagnosed to be able to get treatment, and turn some cancers into chronic diseases instead

of death sentences, and absolute outright cures.

And so we should all be putting 100% of our effort behind dealing with a disease that

affects almost every family.

🇺🇸5 Things AMERICANS Do That BRITISH People HATE! 🇬🇧 - Duration: 16:02.

- Hi, we're Joel and Lia.

- And today's video is things Americans do

that drive Brits crazy.

♪ Dee da dee da dee dee da ♪

- Okay so this video is based on true stories,

our own experiences,

and also from an article that we found on the insider.com.

So we're just gonna just discuss, go through it,

add our own two cents.

Is that what-- (laughing)

what is that?

- Two cents. Three cents. - Add our three cents.

- Two cents. - Add our two cents.

- Two cents.

- So we're really smart.

So there you go. (clapping)

- Yeah, well done. - Well done us.

- Also, I don't know why we say cents in the U.K.,

'cause obviously we have pence.

- Yeah.

- Not cents.

- Add your two pence.

- Add your two, oh, maybe we do say that.

- Do we say that?

- I don't know.

- Add your two pence.

No, no one says-- - Two pence.

- Two pence.

(laughing)

Add your two pence.

- No.

Anyway. - No one has ever said that.

Anyway. Should we just get straight on with it.

- Let's just jump straight in.

So the first one that drives Brits crazy is that,

apparently Americans tend to buy drinks

when you're with a group of friends,

you buy drinks one by one instead of buying in rounds.

Which, I didn't really know that they did this.

- Yeah, so, according to Insider, it's not unusual for

American to just go to a bar and buy their own drink.

Whereas, if we were in a group of four

say-- - Yeah.

- Or even just us two-- - Yeah.

- It would be you'd get the first round of drinks

for both of us, and then I'd get the next round,

and so on, and the same with a big group.

Like, it could be even up to groups of like

nine or 10 where someone's getting the round

and then the next person's getting the

whole round of drinks, it's like.

- And it's costing them

so much money. - So much money.

- But the rule is that every who's in on that gets a round.

So if there's 10 people,

there's gonna be 10 rounds of drinks.

- Yeah.

- And, and so you know that you're gonna end up

getting your money back in a way.

- In a way. - In the form of a drink.

- Yeah.

If not more.

No, the same.

- The same.

- Yeah.

- I'm like, I'm like, how can you win?

How can you win?

- Maths.

(laughing)

- Um, I think that there's pros and cons to both.

Because sometimes I wish that we could do it

the American way.

- Yeah, oh me too.

- Where you just buy your own drink

and it's not expected of you to get the round.

- Oh definitely.

I do that all the time anyway.

Like, if I'm like, oh, I'm not being involved.

- You're not part of it.

- Because I don't want six rounds of drinks.

I just want

one drink. - One drink.

Yeah, exactly.

Or, I want a diet Coke--

- That's quite American of you.

- Which is cheaper than a pint of beer.

So then I'm like, well I'm not gonna pay for everyone's

round of beer when my diet Coke is like a lot cheaper.

- Yeah, I know, that's the thing, like, to,

but in the U.K., like, to get out of the round,

you have to literally be that one person who's like,

I'm not doing rounds.

And then everyone's like.

So for British people, like, someone scooting off

and like buying their own drink is considered like rude,

and that you're stingy, and like, you know, a bit cheap.

- Yeah.

- Um, so.

That's what is so annoying.

- I know.

- How we kind of wish that we were the other way.

- I know.

I think we're more American in that sense--

- Yeah.

- It wouldn't drive us crazy.

But it tends to drive Brits crazy apparently.

- Yeah.

- If you're enjoying this video,

don't forget to click subscribe and press the

notification bell.

We post videos thrice weekly.

- Okay, the next one is to do with the royal family.

So, it's anyone who like criticizes the royal family.

It can just be a little touchy subject I think.

- Yeah.

- It varies, doesn't it?

'Cause we're like British and we really really

love the royal family.

Then you've got British people that are a bit like,

meh, not bothered.

- Yeah.

- And then you've got people that

don't like the royal family.

- Oh I know plenty of Brits that hate the royal family.

- Oh, they just hate it.

- But it's like that rule of like,

I can criticize Lia, but no one else can.

Like, you know, with someone your close to--

- Yeah.

- It's like, we Brits can criticize our royal family,

but Americans can't.

- Yeah.

- Or like, not just Americans but anyone else can't.

- Yeah, it's definitely that.

- Yeah.

- I know exactly, I know exactly.

It's like someone insulting like a family member of yours

and you're like,

stop. - Excuse me?

- I'm sorry but-- - I know.

- When was it okay for you to say that?

- Also, especially when those people get it wrong like,

because it works out something like 63p per year per person

we pay to the royal family.

- I know.

- So when people comment like,

oh you're paying so much taxes for these people to live

in a gold palace.

You're like, yeah, I pay 63p per year

for a royal family.

I'm fine with that.

- I'm happy.

It brings so much to us and to the U.K.

- Yeah.

- So many like, good weddings on the telly.

- Yeah.

(laughing)

(sighing)

But I think it, it goes the other way around like,

with Donald Trump obviously lots of people in the U.K.

have their own opinions,

and I imagine Americans would be a bit like,

well, not all Americans, some would be like,

don't criticize my president, because--

- Yeah, it goes both ways doesn't it?

- And we, and so, we probably get on your nerves

by doing that with your politicians or celebrities.

- Yeah.

- But, hey, that's life isn't it?

- That's life.

It's always gonna be someone triggered somewhere.

- Yeah.

So the next thing that Brits get driven a bit crazy about

is the perception that Americans are a bit more bragging.

Well, this article says bragging.

I don't know why I'm saying it like it's my opinion.

This article has said, you're bragging.

- Yeah.

I think what it is is what we were told at drama school,

that we can all afford to be a bit more American.

That we were actually told that

by one of our acting teachers who was just like,

be a bit bolder.

Like, be a bit more proud of yourself.

Sell yourself a bit better.

We just don't.

Like-- - No.

- If anything, over Christmas,

we'll just downplay everything.

You know, seeing friends and family.

And how's it all going.

And just constantly just underplaying everything.

Because it's just not really in our DNA to be like,

I'm amazing.

La la la la.

It just makes them, it makes them cringe.

It makes British people, it makes you cringe a bit.

It's just so out of our comfort zone.

- I know. But it's not even just saying I'm amazing.

It's just stating the facts of what you've done.

- Yeah, not, yeah, exactly.

- Like just, if an American was just to be like,

hey, I run my own business, I'm a CEO of this.

And I've, I've turned over this many million this year.

A British person might be like, okay, bragging.

- Okay, didn't ask you how much you earned or something.

- No.

But like, they're essentially just stating the truth.

They're not like bragging.

- Exactly.

- But Brits perceive it as bragging.

- That's what's amazing though.

It's like, they just say it.

- Yeah.

- And to them it's normal.

- Yeah.

- But the problem is actually with British people

because we go, that was so, that was so braggy.

- Yeah, yeah. - Do you know what I mean?

We're like, the majority of British people

can't handle that.

- No, they can't.

So, I think you're right.

I think we can, all of these things I think

have positive spins.

It's just completely different cultures.

Britain and the U.S.A. are so similar,

but also so different in the way that we interact.

- Yeah, like, someone say,

"Oh, how's your YouTube channel getting on?"

You're like,

"Yeah, yeah, we're doing really well."

"Oh really, how many, how many subscribers have you got?"

"Um, what was it?" Well, we know how many we've got.

Saying it, I could say it in a second.

- I know exactly.

- I know exactly the number but you're like, um,

probably, nearly 200,000 I think.

- Yeah.

- What?

And then you wait for them to, do you know what I mean, like

you don't want any kind of, I don't know,

attention around it. - I know it's so weird.

- It's really weird.

- And I know American YouTubers are also like,

when someone asks what they do they're like,

"Hey, I'm a YouTuber, yeah."

Like, they just say it.

- Yeah.

- Whereas like, I can't say it.

When someone is like, what do you? I'm like, I um--

- Make videos for online and--

- Yeah, or even before I say it I come with a qualifying

thing of being like,

oh, it's really weird but like, I make YouTube videos,

and like, eh.

Like, I can't just go, I make YouTube videos.

I'm a YouTuber.

Like, I can't just say it.

I have to go, oh, it's like, I um--

- Yeah.

(laughing)

People are like, so what is it you do?

And I'm like, so, it's kind of like online stuff.

Okay, so the next one that Brits get really triggered by is

that some Americans don't know the difference

between England, Great Britain, and the United Kingdom.

And to be fair, I bet there's some British people

out there that don't actually know the difference anyway.

- Yeah, I was just thinking like, it took me until

about last year to know the difference between the three.

'Cause we're not even taught that in schools

I don't think here.

- No, we just, I think we might be.

- Are we?

I just don't listen.

(laughing)

- So, yeah.

England is like that much of the United Kingdom.

I'm like that much.

It's maybe like a quart--

- Actually you know what I still can't remember I think.

- What would England be?

Maybe like?

- England--

- Would be.

- England is a country.

- Yeah, but--

- As well as Scotland, Ireland, and Wales.

- I was just thinking percentage wise,

we're probably like two quarters, half, two quarters.

We're probably like half of the United Kingdom.

- Yeah, we probably make up about half it.

- Half.

- Tech--

In terms of land mass, but not in terms of like, importance.

- Oh no.

'Cause Scotland's loads.

- Yeah, Scotland--

No, but as in, we're just the United Kingdom is like--

- Yeah I know.

- The me--

- But see, it's confusing isn't it?

- It's so confusing.

So if you say the U.K. that means something different

to if you say England.

- Yeah.

- Because the U.K. includes other countries.

Because Wales is a country.

Scotland is a country.

Northern Ireland is a country.

And the Republic of Ireland is a country.

- Yeah, so that's where I actually got it wrong

in a video once when I was talking about Ireland--

- That's where the mistakes are, isn't it?

'Cause it's so confusing 'cause Ireland as a island

as an island, as in a separate--

- Separate from this place. - A separate entity.

Is like one landmass.

So you tend to think, oh that's Ireland.

But it's Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

And they're two separate countries which is--

- Yeah.

- Baffling to me.

- I know.

It's, guys, Brits get so triggered by it.

Like when um--

- Posh Brits.

- Donald Trump got it wrong in a,

in an interview or something.

- What did he say?

Did he call the U.K. England?

- I think he did.

Or he, something happened

and everyone went crazy on Twitter.

But it is actually kind of an innocent mistake to make.

- Yeah.

- But a president should probably know, shouldn't they?

- That's true.

A pres--

- President should probably know.

- Yeah, it's not an innocent mistake for him

because he's a president.

- He's a president.

I was just thinking, oh it's an innocent mistake

for like a 12 year old to make.

(laughing)

- Yeah.

No, or like an ever day American

that isn't involved in politics.

But I think people who are involved in politics--

- They should probably know their sort of territories.

- Probably should know, yeah.

(laughing)

- So the next one is that Americans are really direct.

And British people are so sort of like beat around the bush

with whatever they need to say.

So like, for instance, if you said to someone

"I'll consider it."

That might mean, I'm never gonna think about that ever,

like, forget, forget that idea.

It's the crapest idea you've ever come up with.

See you never.

Whereas like, I think in America we'd be like,

"I don't like that idea.

"Give me another one."

- Yeah.

- And it's just so like this directness that I think Brits

find hard to deal with 'cause it's so much the truth.

It's just hard to like, hear it sometimes.

- But I grew up with a different perception of this I think.

I always grew up thinking Brits were direct and

Americans were indirect.

- Oh really?

- Because of, I think the Simon Cowell effect.

Where Simon Cowell first took talent shows to America,

we'd been doing them here in the U.K.

And he took American Idol and then the American X Factor.

- Loads of formats, yeah.

- Everyone hated Simon Cowell in America 'cause

he was so direct and he just said what he was thinking.

And all the other judges were like,

yeah, I mean, you're kinda good, but like, blah blah blah.

And he, Simon Cowell was like,

"You're rubbish.

"You're the worst person I've ever seen."

- Oh, that's interesting.

- And they all hated his direct nature and assumed

Brits were like that.

So, this is what I'm really confused about.

- No, Simon Cowell said what Brits think.

But Brits don't say what they're thinking.

That's my point.

So, you might be thinking, Lia, get your words out.

But you know, you don't, you might say it to me

'cause we're friends.

- Yeah.

- But like, imagine in a meeting someone was giving

you this just crap, and you would never ever do a

Simon Cowell on them 'cause you're so British.

- Maybe that's why Brits loved Simon Cowell

because he said what he--

- We loved it 'cause he said what we were thinking.

- Yeah.

- And we were like, that's hilarious.

- But then why did Americans get so triggered

by Simon Cowell initially?

Now I tend to think Americans really like him.

But, at first it was really jarring.

And there was loads of articles in the U.K. like

America hates Simon Cowell

America can't deal with him and his honest opinions.

- Don't know why first--

'Cause why would any American warm to someone

that's not giving anything.

- Yeah.

- Like, what Simon Cowell probably needed to do

would be like cry on telly, get really like

watch someone perform that blows him away.

Maybe get emotional.

Maybe stand up or like have less words to say

and then they'd be like, Simon, Simon liked it.

Simon guys, guys.

(laughing)

I don't know.

They're like basically I think what Americans look for

is truth and realness

and there's not that much of that when you're

just being like Gordon Ramsey like,

"Get the beep out of my beeping kitchen."

- Well yeah, that's the other thing like, Gordon Ramsey,

he's like hated because he's so direct and so honest.

- Yeah.

- I don't know.

- He's not like, awkward Brit. - No.

- Like he's not, there's nothing sweet about Gordon Ramsey.

There's something sweet and endearing about Simon Cowell.

They're just British beeps.

(laughing)

- Like us.

- Yeah.

(laughing)

- Not like us.

- No, we're so much more awkward, like,

someone could be telling you loads about your job.

You're like king of, you know loads of stuff about YouTube.

You know stuff about analytics and sort of stuff like that.

Someone could be giving you chat that you already know

but you'd just go,

"Mm, oh really?"

- Oh really, yeah, that's really interesting.

- Yeah, oh, but you already know all of that.

- That's, yeah--

- You'd never ever shut someone out.

- I hate when someone, when I say something to someone

and they go,

"Yeah, I know." I'm like, I would never do that.

Even if I know, I'd just go, "That's really interesting."

And in my head I'd be like, I already know that.

But I would never say it.

- Yeah, you never go, like, I know that.

Tell me something I don't know.

- No.

Yeah.

- Because you're nice.

- But I wish I could 'cause it would save a lot of time.

- The other day at the gym

I pressed minus one to go down the lift,

and something went wrong with the lift, right?

And I got in the lift and it started going up

to like the third floor.

And I got out and I was like, oh, so annoying.

And I was in there with another guy.

And this woman who works in the building was like,

you have to press the floor that you want to go to

before you get in to the lift.

And then the screen tells you which lift you have to go in.

And I'm like seething.

I'm literally like, I know how to use these lifts.

I was literally like,

"Oh really, oh okay."

- Why do we do that?

- I know.

And I got back in the lift and I pretended I had no idea

how to use this lift.

And the other guy was a bit more bold.

He was like,

"Yeah, I know, like, I've used these lifts quite a few times

"but I'm just not quite sure what went wrong."

Something went wrong for us then didn't it,

like, me and him.

And I was thinking like, oh yeah.

And then we literally get down to zero

and she shows us how to do it.

- Oh my gosh.

- I've been using this gym for like five months.

- Oh.

- Oh, it drove me up the wall.

- Brits. - Brits.

- What are we like?

(panting)

- I'm just thinking about that woman and the fact

that she had to demo it and like she spoke to me like

I was so stupid.

(laughing)

I can't, of course I didn't go like, I know, shut up.

I just went, mm, really?

I didn't know that.

- Really, mm, thanks.

We should be more American.

Like yeah I know.

- Yeah I know.

I use this lift every day for the gym.

(laughing)

okay.

So that's all of the sort of pointers we

wanna talk about today guys.

- Yeah.

- We know that you that's been helpful.

- Yeah.

We know you guys love our American versus British content

so we're trying to do a bit more of those 'cause,

I feel like we haven't done any of those for a while.

- Yeah, we got quite caught up with vlog mess.

- Vlogs, and vlog mess.

Yeah, being out and about.

But yeah, don't forget to subscribe.

We post videos thrice weekly,

which means three times per week for those of

you that don't know.

- What thrice means.

- Thrice.

- Did we make up that word or is it real?

- No, it's real.

But I was surprised at the amount of people that are like,

oh, we don't say thrice, what's thrice?

I was like--

- It's like twice, but three times.

- It's like, I feel like it's old English.

Like, it's like-- - Thrice.

- What they'd say in a Dickens novel.

- Thrice weekly.

- Yeah. - No wonder people like it.

- Yeah.

- It's quite old school English.

Okay, and don't forget to click the notification bell

if you wanna get a notification on your phone

every time we upload.

We often reply to the first hundred people

that sort of watch our videos

'cause we're on the page, okay.

(laughing)

See, can't even finish a sentence without being awkward.

- No, nevermind.

- Okay guys. - God save the Queen guys.

- God save the Queen.

- See you soon.

- See you soon.

- Bye.

- Bye. Why am I doing this wave?

- The Queen's wave.

F1 2019 ● A Pré Temporada é Necessária? - Duration: 3:54.

Hello Friend of Ressaca F1. Today we gonna talk about pre season tests.

Before i would like to ask to like the video and subscribe to help the channel.

Our website is in the description and you may read some articles and join our virtual racing league.

We know that every year teams uses pre season tests as a way to get some data about the car to develop through the season.

But are the tests necessary or F1 should ban them?

Some people think that if pre season tests were banned, the championship would be unpredictable in its early races..

engine failure and bad setups are things that would happen more often without data.

F1 has always being predictable so it's a good option.

And predictable races are bad for the sport and some fans wants this to change.

Removing friday practice session would have the same effect as removing pre season tests and it's one of the ideas to make the sport better

by not giving the teams much data.

On the other hand there are some people that defend the tests and say that driver's safety is at risk

so tests between february and march are necessary and essential to drivers lifes.

It's a matter of money as well, so teams are able to identify problems and correct them as quick as possible.

Besides tests are a nice opportunity to discover how much each team has evolve and will dominate the season

For example Ferrari did a great job in 2017 by getting closer to Mercedes and we knew that already on tests.

So fans can predict who will win or chase victories in the early season and bet who will develop better the car.

As an innovation, F1 TV will broadcast pre season tests live and Sky Sports will broadcast some hours but not the full test.

Here in Brazil there is no sign of live broadcast and we shall keep on the old way.

Do you think pre season tests are essential or should be banned from F1? Leave your comment.

Visit our partner Ayrton Senna's League and join them on Xbox One... and Pós Bandeirada is in the description as well.

Thanks for Watching!
