Youtube daily report w Jan 22 2017

The Harsh Light of Day is a crossover with the Angel episode, In the Dark.

While a lot of it seems like an echo it represents an interesting paradigm shift for the show

in a number of ways, just as you might expect personally during your own first year of college.

If it weren't for my irrational protective feeling for Buffy (she is us after all) I

think The Harsh Light of Day might actually be one of favorite episodes in Season 4.

The Scoobies are hanging out at the Bronze and Buffy is keeping a watchful eye on the

status and location of Parker throughout the bar.

1:14 "Buffy is looking at Parker.

Who it turns out has a reflection so big plus there."

As Dingoes Ate My Baby are packing up in the parking lot when Willow runs into Harmony

for the first time since Graduation.

Which, if you remember…

Harmony vamps and attacks but Oz gets her away.

On the walk home Parker notices Buffy's neck.

"You have a scar."

- "Angry puppy."

On the walk home Parker opens up about his home life and asks Buffy to a party the next

day.

Xander and Giles the displaced Scoobies, are spending an evening organizing Giles home

and Anya stops by.

7:30 "So where is our relationship going?"

- "Our what?"

Meanwhile back at the dorm Parker and Buffy are about to kiss when Willow and Oz show

up and let her know in Scooby code that Harmony is now a vampire.

9:00 "She must be dating the most tolerant guy in the world."

10:20 "Hi baby.

I'm back."

Spike and Harmony have a gloriously adversarial relationship.

Spike is digging for something but Harmony is too bored to sit around and begs to be

taken to a party.

At the party in question, Parker and Buffy run into Spike and Harmony, carrying a snack

between them.

Buffy and Spike fight and Harmony, new to being a immortal bad guy, tries her hand at

taunting.

101 14:30 "As soon as we have the gem of Amara

you're going to be so…"

Xander is sprucing up his mom's basement with a disco ball and Anya shows up to continue

trying have things develop

*drops dress *juice box

Back at the party Parker lays a line on Buffy I want to circle back to and Buffy kisses

him.

The next day she wakes up in bed alone.

I adore the echo here.

Waking up in bed with Parker gone.

Waking up in bed with Angel gone.

The visible scar.

I was amused by how much of a slob Parker appears to be but regardless he returns with

coffee and has a new unfortunate line for Buffy.

24:00 "I'll call you."

And after a night of carnal pleasures, every one of our couples awaken into the harsh light

of day.

Spike finally manages to hurt Harmony's feelings.

Parker doesn't call and Anya is upset that Xander is fine with her being over him.

Spike finds the crypt containing the gem of Amara, a gem said to make vampires unkillable

but Harmony won't stop talking.

At Giles' house the gang is still researching the location of the crypt.

33:00 "Hey everyone Giles has a TV.

He's shy like us."

Willow defending Giles here by saying maybe the TV doesn't work is an adorable reminder

of her crush on him, which we covered a bit in season 3.

The whole anti-TV sentiment is a very meta writer's joke, coming from a television

show like Buffy.

Buffy stumbles on Parker in the quad laying the line about his Dad on a new girl.

Parker is standoffish and somehow manages to get Buffy to apologize to him.

36:00 "I didn't mean to mis...I'm sorry.

We'll double back on this part in just a moment.

But this scene is CRUSHING.

Spike attacks and when Buffy is most emotionally vulnerable.

During the fight he picks at her emotional wounds.

39:30 "Did he play the sensitive lad and get you to seduce him?

That's a good trick if the girl is thick enough to buy it."

201

We've had some great fights this season already but this fight is not one of them.

And it may actually be the harsh light of day that is the problem.

James Marster's is incredibly lean and makes his stunt double look like a linebacker by

comparison.

And there are long direct shots of his double's face.

Buffy gets the ring off his finger and Spike flees into the sewers.

Buffy decides the Ring should go to Angel.

Oz says he has a gig in LA and will take it to him.

And the episode ends with Buffy with Willow, trying to figure out what she did to make

Parker not like her anymore.

41:30 "Am I repulsive?"

I really enjoy the structure of this one.

You have three women on a parallel track exploring sexuality in their relationships with three

very different but very complex men.

Well okay.

Two complex men and a Parker.

Of course I hate Parker but I want to be very careful when I say, to give Parker all the

credit for the events of the episode - as in Buffy never would have if he wasn't a

lying manipulative poop-head - is to sell the complexity of Buffy's character short.

Parker's manipulation exposes in Buffy a vulnerability when it comes to matters of

men and love, but I think it's less about being naive than meets the eye.

There are obvious callbacks to what happened with Angel here

34:00 "Is everything okay."

- "Sure it is."

Innocence "Was I not good?"

- "You were great.

I thought you were a pro."

In Innocence this story was subtext.

In The Harsh Light of Day the douchey boyfriend story is literal and at the end of the episode

she asks Willow:

"So does this always happen?

Sleep with a guy and he turns all evil."

Thing is, she and Parker spent about an estimated week's worth of time together.

Angel and she spent a year and half.

Parker performed the ceremonial dance of intimacy but the key is it was a one sided performance.

In all their scenes together it was Parker talking about his life and his beliefs and

his dreams.

He rarely shows any curiosity towards Buffy and her passions.

Real intimacy flows in both directions.

This is empathy peacock's feathers.

And while Parker is a manipulative poop head performing for a change at sex, his actions

have exposed a vulnerability in Buffy that she'd have had to discover for herself at

some time or another.

301

I've read that Sarah Michelle Gellar took issue with the idea of Buffy jumping into

bed with someone so soon after Angel but for a few reason's I found Buffy's actions

totally believable.

First of all, Angel is the one who broke up with Buffy.

Whether it was for sensible reasons or not it's still much harder to be the rejected

than the rejector.

Second the persona that Parker was playing represented everything that Angel was not,

and both Buffy and Willow go out of their ways to highlight that fact.

Parker is sensitive.

Thoughtful.

He talks about his feelings and most importantly, he has a reflection.

Third, as Whedon said, college is a time where a lot of people experiment.

I think Buffy ended up in bed with Parker because she wanted to believe him, not because

she believed him.

Don't forget the song she's been tortured by for the previous two episodes: "Do you

believe in life after love?"

He's still a misrepresenting manipulative douche bag yes.

I'm just suggesting the signs were there and there were two people making decisions.

Again, to give Parker all the blame is to sell Buffy short.

This is something she's going to have to deal with for a few episodes (we see her struggling

with it in the end) but her reaction in future episodes makes more sense to me if Parker

is really the avatar for the insecurities she's developed about all her past relationships

to this point.

Not just Parker specifically.

Anya and Xander's interactions set up an important detail about her character, and

that is that she's been a single minded vengeance demon for so long she's forgotten

how certain basic aspects of being human work and may need to relearn them.

In this case that banging the object of your affection isn't a suitable way of expunging

them from your system.

And at the far end in the other direction we have Harmony.

Who when she can't get Spike to pay attention to her or treat her properly engages Spike

on a sexual level to keep his interest.

401 "Being a vampire sucks."

One of my favorite aspects of this episode IS the sexual experimentation, despite the

experiments failures.

I think we did better when we talked about Season 2 but it would be tempting to look

at it as the show, in some way, demonizing sex.

What with the numerous metaphorical portent's leading up to the fateful moment and the sex

seemingly causing the departure of Angel's soul.

But we know that the season isn't really about that.

And if you watch carefully, it isn't the sex that causes Angel's loss of soul.

There's a cut after the scene of an unknown length of time.

And we come to Angel laying in bed with the woman he loves.

No place to get to but this moment.

No cares.

No concerns.

Nothing but the fingertips of the storm outside on the window panes.

This is true peace.

This is home.

*Angel wakes up*

Still it's refreshing to see the show take a more liberal attitude here towards sexuality

as something to not be afraid of - rather something that needs to be handled with a

little bit of care and honesty to be done well.

It's common knowledge that Whedon touched most of the scripts for the show and if that's

the case here, I feel like it's Parker's speech in the club.

It's easy to dismiss his lines because of the Parker sucks but consider their content

in the context of the show and all the philosophy we've talked about rather than as a tool

to manipulate Buffy.

In fact, let's give them the same treatment we gave the Mayor's graduation speech at

the beginning of the season:

"There's something amazing about these huge events that when you dig down into them

they're all about people."

501

I love this.

It's as if Whedon decided that if he HAD to bring Parker into Buffy's life.

If he was going to go that route he may as well give Parker dialogue that was going to

speak to her heart.

There are a ton of other fun details in this one as well.

Parker noticing Buffy's scar from being bitten by both Angel and The Master.

And Buffy saying she was bitten by an angry puppy.

This is not the first time he's been referred to like that:

*Scene from the Wish

Conclusion This review has been a kind of a difficult

line to tow for me.

I'll be honest, my first instinct when it comes to Buffy is a protective one, not a

rational one.

When I first watched this episode I did, and I still do want to throw Parker off a roof.

But I think our interest in these discussions is in character.

What do we do after we fall.

We pick ourselves up and keep asking that question: where do we go from here?

VP at ELEAGUE Major. Interview with "TaZ": "Katowice will remain in my heart forever" | CS:GO - Duration: 13:55.

Alright, friends, the guys are still training, but that did not stop us from distracting Taz for a bit so that he could give us an interview.

So, we have our captain right here. Hello, Mr. TaZ!

Hello!

We congratulate you on the birth of your daughter. What is her name?

Her name is Laura. I had nothing to talk about, my wife decided out. OK.

Sure, you miss her and want to see her soon. We prepared for you a small gift.

Okay, let's see.

It's a bomb for a bath with the baby!

Oh, thank you!

Thank you very much. I will leave it to my baby. She'll unpack it.

When she'll be grown up.

Now that the bomb has been planted, we're ready to start with the questions. So, you became a father. What changes came into your life and into your mind?

I think a lot of stuff changed, like... my attitude is different. I try not to be so angry and, you know, I don't feel so much pressure anymore from my games.

More like, I think about my baby and about my wife, it's like, I feel like my life is at different level: it's not only the game anymore.

On all these days you're smiling a lot. Maybe it's all the changes?

I think so. I mean, I always like to smile, but nowadays it's just... I just try to put some more effort into smiling. It's better to smile than always have an angry face like I used to.

How hard is it to be a father and a cybersportsman?

I don't think it's that hard at the moment, because it's just a beginning of journey for me. I will tell you more in future, because now my baby is only 9-10 days old, so I don't really feel any burden of being a father yet in connection to gaming.

But I think there'll be a lot of things on my mind when the baby will be growing and even in a couple months there'll be a lot harder for me.

How it happened then that two Polish teams get together and you and neo get together too?

Oh, it's a very, very long story. It's a long time ago. It just was two biggest competitions between my team and this team.

And one day we just had this talk that maybe we should join up and it wasn't that easy because he went for some tournament in Finland, I think, and he failed to qualify from the group stage after very close game against Swedish line-up with good players.

And after he came back he was like "okay, let's give it a try". So, it's like a family, you know, it's like a marriage more or less. We had a lot of ties, we had a lot of good moments, but we are still here and we are still competing.

So, I think that's understanding of how to be successful which is really making this work.

Tell us about the period when you first moved to CS:GO.

Ah, it was very hard. At the beginning CS:GO had no good prize money, no good teams. It was actually hard to practice against anyone who was practicing.

No salaries for players. We played with our all line-up, with kuben and loord, for like half a year in CS:GO without any salaries. We were just playing hoping that it will grow up.

But it wasn't working for us, it wasn't working for CS:GO. At some point we even wanted to switch to League of Legends.

That's when we decided to split with line-up, but in the end we went practicing for, like... We were playing for, like, one month with all the like a small...

How to say... It's like, you know, you have the representation of your nation in football, so we made like this kind of a draft for players who were, like, practicing, looking up for players who are good and yes, this is how we came up with this line-up.

I don't think many players would survive what we had survived. It was only based on our belief.

This is general thing?

I think that we were only believing this will work out and the game will grow up. I knew that Dota 2 has a great success with Valve, and Valve was supporting it, the game, very much.

So I was like "Okay, Valve is not stupid. They will support CS:GO eventually".

How did you find such talented young players like Snax and byali, and how did you met them?

He was playing with Snax in one team, and this is how we got to know him. Snax was saying that he's really good. We knew that he's good.

He was in the short list. We were sure of Snax from the beginning because we knew him from 1.6.

And we actually were a bit lucky with byali, because at the beginning we didn't go with him

It was funny thing, because the only reason we didn't go with byali was that he said that he's only covering A. If we want him to go B, then he doesn't want to play with us.

So we were like "Okay, so it's going to be hard", but eventually it worked out really good. It was only the beginning.

You said that you don't lucky a lot, but I can say you're lucky a lot because you have amazing team.

It's luck connected with lot of risk.

You know, it's... We risk all the time, playing the game when you have no salary, with a very small salary, when there's no tournaments.

Nowadays, it's not anymore like big risk. You have good salary, have a lot of tournaments, have great team, support. Even if you stop playing the game, you can do a lot of things connected to eSports.

But it's only now. All the youngsters who are playing now the game, crowned top of the game, they don't know what's really hard work and what really risk means.

They're living this really nice, perfect... "pink bubble" and they are very happy everything's working. They think that if they play 10 to 12 hours they really put hard work into gaming and their team, so...

That's basically what Counter-Strike is about now.

There's no risk anymore. It's only... Just play as much as you can and just go to tournaments and get money. That's so easy now.

Your opponent in the first match of ELEAGUE Major is OpTic Gaming. What can you say about them and about their success at the end of last season? Was it only a moment or they've really reached a new level?

I think they've reached a new level. They added tarik to their line-up and they always had really good tactics, fast tactics. They are a fast paced team and successful in it.

So it feels that they are just hitting good strife for them, they are playing on the level anyone expecting them to play. So we'll see during this Major if they will continue to play on this high level.

If yes, there will be extremely hard opening. But, I mean, we like to play against teams which we...

Respect?

No, no... not this really underestimate but the teams that we don't know that good.

Or the players. So if we don't know players that good, it's a lot easier for us to play, to duel and stuff like that.

When we know players like we know, for example, NiP, we compete against them for, like, I dunno, ten years, stuff like that...

So then it's getting harder, it's in your head as well.

But against newer line-ups, newer teams it's a lot easier for us to compete.

We'll see. They are very strong at the moment, they have nice tactics, they have good understanding of the dynamic of current meta, so we'll see.

We'll see, yeah. It seems like your playing in the previous year has reached a new level. What is the key of it?

As a team, I think that we started to understand each other more. We understand what everyone needs to do and that makes us more... how do you say... we are more sure about our movements in the game.

As for me, it was just about the mouse... mice. I had a really big problem playing and adapting with different mice after I had to start from Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer 3.0.

And when I changed to ZOWIE, at some point I just had a DPI which didn't really fit me. And I was playing with it, playing with it because I wasn't doing anything important in the team.

I was just doing stuff like nades and stuff like that, so I didn't really look up to it, but after a while I was really annoyed that my level went so low that when I have like, I dunno, 20 frags people are saying "oh my god, he's playing so good".

And that's not something I'm used to. I never was a player who was underperforming or letting the team down. I was usually the guy who you could count on and if I wasn't really good I was always really solid, so I just want to come back to this.

And CS:GO is a game that fits me very well, so if I will get enough trust from my team, I think that I can dominate anything.

Some people think that the professional cybersport in your age is nonsense. How do you deny it every time?

That's BS. There's nothing to it. Best goalkeepers in hockey are playing like... uh, their peak is at 35 or 37.

So, same goes with goalkeepers in football, where you need the most reflex, the most experience positioning and stuff like that. I think that age, if used correctly, is only working for your advantage, not disadvantage.

All these youngsters and top-1 kings and stuff like that... <sarcastic nod>

Yes, yes... Two years in a row the main tournament at the beginning of the year for you was a championship in the native walls of Katowice. How the situation change with the appearance of ELEAGUE Major?

I don't know, it's like... the thing about major is that we're missing a lot of payments, we are missing medals, we are missing bigger prize pool, we're missing better computers, better hotels... It doesn't feels like it's a major.

It feels like it's a normal tournament which is called the Major because Valve agreed that this is a good event, it was run good, so, guys, now you can have a Major.

But I think that Major should stand for a lot more. It should be an event where I go and I'm like, "Wow". And then I enter to the stage and I'm like, "Wooow". I go to practice, I like "This is amazing". This is something I was expecting.

No. We are here, we are at ELEAGUE Major, and well, this is like ELEAGUE. This is ELEAGUE Season 3 with additional "Major".

And if you win, you'll get a finish in your inventory or get Major statue, if you're in quarterfinals or further. But for me it doesn't feel as special as first Katowice event, where we had 10 thousand people roaring on the stage.

And it, uh... Whole event was like normal, like normal ESL event, but the stage and the reasoning behind the Major with the biggest crowd up to date was something new.

Now this is normal. With big crowds, Majors and stuff like that. I'm just hoping that Valve would understand that they really need to step up a lot and create something epic, not something just as addition to the events.

The important part of your job is the media. How do you feel about such activities? Maybe you have some rules or principles?

I think the first rule is that you always need to be open to media. Okay, sometimes, when I feel bad or we lost the event, I don't want to go to media.

It happens so rarely, but sometimes I really like "No, I don't want to go", because how you go through media, how you speak at the camera, you need to be open and want to talk.

If you don't like to talk, you don't go to camera, because it will not work good for interviewer and it will not work good for you. It's all about just being open and... yeah, being in good mood and if you are in bad mood, everything will be bad.

Well, we once again congratulate you! We wish you successful start of the championship, yeah!

Thank you. I will try to plant another bomb very soon, so I will get more presents. Maybe I will use it as well.

- Good luck, man. // - Thank you.

LE LINER POUR LES NULS + GIVEAWAY EN FIN DE VIDEO ! - Duration: 7:34.

Hey Guys welcome back to my channel !

Today I'll showing you a quick and efficient make-up tutorial

I'll give you all my tips and tricks about eye liner Girls !

It was a very requested video as you can see so I decided to do it for you.

It might seem a little bit long but instead of just doing the tutorial on how I do my eyeliner

I wanted to create a little introduction

on the different types of eyeliner you could find and how to use them

This video is not sponsored, I am not paid for doing this video !

I bought all the products I use, I tested it everyday

I had this training during my make-up lessons

It was so helpful for me that I wanted to share it with you Guys !

Again, don't forget to subscribe to my channel

For more beauty videos

It's free, it takes only 2 seconds and you'll be notified every new video !

Also, don't forget to click on the little bell to turn on notifications

It'll be easier for you :)

I picked up one of my favorite pencil eye liner

which is the Skinny black liner by NYX COSMETICS

It cost in sales only 4€ which is really affordable

This liner is really easy to use if you're a beginner

If you don't want a really hard shape of liner

or if you want a really smooth and blended liner

You have to try this one guys it is amazing !

The only thing is that you have to set it with a black powder eyeshadow for a long lasting liner !

Other kind of liner that works very well : the gel liner

You can find it in different makeup brands : Gemey Maybelline

L'Oréal, Smashbox cosmetics, which is my favorite

It's really ease to use, very creamy

the best way to use it is with a really small liner brush

I personnaly use some by Zoeva, MAC or MUFE

The only thing : it can dry really quickly

It is really smooth to apply, really blendable

It doesn't pour along your lashline unlike liquid liner

It's a really good alternative for beginners that need dramatic liner

It might be softer than liquid liner also !

Last, and this is my favorite

This is the liquid eyeliner that you could find in 2 types :

Liquid pencil liner, here I picked up the calligraphie pen liner by CATRICE

You could find this in so much brand now, as L'Oréal,

and finally, you'll have the liquid eye-liner with a small brush

I personally use the NYX liquid matte liner which is my FAVORITE !

The best thing about this one is it extremely pigmented

It's the easiest to apply if you need a very bold and pigmented cat eye liner

You can also create your liner with a gel liner, which is easier and intensified with liquid liner after that.

Your liner will be darker, long lasting and easier to make

The liner pencil is easy to travel with, you can pack it easily in your make-up case

It's "all in one" so you just have to draw your winged liner and that's it !

Now, I'll show you my tips for created the perfect winged liner very easily !

The first thing I did is to prep my eye lid !

I already did my foundation routine and now let's switch to the eyes !

I applied 2 products for a perfect long lasting result

I used the Smashbox 24 HOURS eyeshadow base

It's a really good eye primer because it has a medium coverage

You'll apply it with your fingers all over your lid

It'll correct the yellowish/blueish color you could have on your lid

Then, you have to set the primer with powder

I used the HD translucent powder by NYX Cosmetics that i LOVE SO MUCH

It's a really thin and smooth finishing powder

For a perfect line all over your lash line and avoid any slideslips

You have to let your eyes open

So my first tip is to put your mirror down !

So you just have to draw your liner without any skin excess

It's the best way to create a perfect cats eyes liner and avoid liner alert !

(We all dit ... I know... I see you :D)

Other tip you can do is to cut a piece of paper or a card

I used personally a piece of Bristol but you can use anything

I'll show you how to use it as a guide line to create your wing easily !

It is up to you now, You shall take the end of your brow as a reference

Personally I love dramatic liner, so I decide to make it longer

I put the cardboard along my lower lashline and my outer corner

Then i'm going to draw my wing slowly

I take again my small mirror to make it easier

And i'm going to apply the product along my lash line.

For a better application, I prefer cut my lid in two parts

I begin with the outer part : I create the wing

then I draw the liner from the middle to the end of the wing

And finally, from the inner corner to the middle of the lid

I'm going to do the other eye and I see you next

As you can see, I make little scratchs on each side

to show you how to correct it very easily

I picked up a piece of my favorite concealer

which is the NYX Gotcha Covered that I love

I apply it with a really tiny brush, here it's the pointed concealer brush by Real Techniques

And I'll perfect and correct the wing precisely

Here it is Guys !

I Hope you enjoyed this video

The Harsh Light of Day • S04E03 • TPN's Buffy Guide - Duration: 9:26.

I didn't realize that a lot of people don't visit Youtube every day, so they miss out

on seeing the new uploads when they happen.

Every video I make takes anywhere from 2 to 6 weeks to produce, so you're not going to

So the solution is to click the little bell icon right next to the subscribe button.

Clicking the bell will enable notifications.

You'll get a prompt where you can choose to get email notifications every time a new video

Also everything I produce gets posted on Twitter, Facebook and the website so make sure you're

following me there too.

In the meantime make sure you check out the channel for any uploads you may have missed

The Harsh Light of Day • S04E03 • TPN's Buffy Guide - Duration: 9:26.

WE GOT A NEW CAR || Vlog 24 - Duration: 16:30.

Can anyone hear me? I do not understand myself anymore.

Then we do subtitles.

That seems like a good idea to me.

Hey, hi, thank you for watching our new video. I'm Jeroen

I'm Bianca by the way.

We are now in Scheveningen.

And it's damn cold.

You wanted to go to Scheveningen, then you should not complain.

Not true! I gave you the choice, but you did not want any choice. You wanted to go everywhere.

We're not going everywhere.

No, we've been everywhere.

This is the last stop.

Why did we not film that?

Some things, you have to keep secret.

We can't say anything about that yet.

What we will do in Scheveningen?

No idea, just wander around.

A little walk around, simply because we can.

We are free, then you should do something with your free time.

And we live in the neighborhood, so why would not go to Scheveningen.

We live near Kijkduin, not Scheveningen.

Lots of people go to Scheveningen who live somewhere in the Achterhoek.

We live fairly close.

If you look at it that way, we live in the neighborhood.

So it's little trouble.

Nice music huh?

Just static on the line.

They have put through that same music on all the speakers to the entire Pier.

But can anyone still hear me? I do not understand myself anymore.

Then we do subtitles.

That seems like a good idea to me.

They say that it is soothing to look at the sea.

If you now look at a sea that goes very fast ...

... Then you are also very quickly quiet?

Or quickly seasick?

One try, right?

Seems nothing to jump of a board with an elastic at the ankles.

Definitely not.

Why would you jump?

I do not know either. You can also come down the normal way.

I would rather jump out of a plane with a parachute ...

... Then going with a rubber band on my ankles from a board.

That anyway, but just rather not jump.

We can take a dip here.

I would not do that either.

Also not? -No, I would not.

Ferris then?

No, we are not going to do that either.

We remain just good run here. -Afraid of heights, nice!

This seems something for you.

Do you think? -You don't need any special talents for this.

You just sit in that thing, and you let yourself slide down.

So I'm an airhead?

I did not say that.

But this would be something nice for you.

No, it's too boring.

You really comes as the last piece: boom!

We can also skate, which is on the other side of the Kurhaus.

Ice skating? -Well, I mean.

Shall we go skating then? -Haha!

I would again like it, but on natural ice.

Let us hope that the coming week will be very cold.

That it will freeze.

So we can skate on natural ice.

Are you coming then?

I can not skate!

You can do just a little shuffling?

Then we take a seat. -No, I can not.

I can not even shuffle.

I just need my legs stuck together.

As on a board or a snowboard.

This works somewhat.

The possibility that you can jump off.

That would be nice.

But just two things on my foot ...

... Separately from each other, then I'm like Bambi.

Walking is already a problem.

That's difficult, yes.

Then you should not want to put under any skates.

You can just bring such a thing anyway?

Yeah bye!

I get pain in my back. I'm small, but so small either.

A new problem for every solution.

As long as she does not have to skate.

Exactly.

You see, it looks horrible!

If we're here, we might as well get ourselves a burger.

It is always easy if you are vegetarian.

It used to be standard that you could be happy if there was anything at all.

Nowadays you even get choice stress as a vegetarian.

Here you don't, just one veggie burger.

So we both ordered that.

Just hope that it's a bit tasty.

The fries are in any case.

The fries are nice and thin.

Something different than farmer fries.

It's a great big burger.

So wish me luck!

Yes, it is fine!

Nice and crispy.

Just good taste. Super!

It is Wednesday.

Time for a little Shoplog.

In our vlog last week you already saw that the car, that was Bianca's ...

...not anymore...

... That it's with us no more.

And behind me is its replacement.

Blue Ford Fiesta. Simply, good condition.

That's sometimes fun ...

... The first bird has also had a shit on it.

But it won't drive any less because of that.

Bianca knows nothing yet, so I'm going to surprise her now.

She is still working and I said that I would pick her up.

But I still did not have the new car.

She does not know yet.

So I'm very curious how she will respond.

With the Saxo, not only the left door couldn't be opened.

The fuel gauge did not work. And quite annoying if you like music ...

... The radio did not work.

This one does.

You could see in an earlier video ...

... I was listening to this CD. When I said ...

... That it would be particularly suitable for car.

I can now finally turn it on.

So we're going to do it.

We are at the place where Bianca works.

I parked as antisocial at the door as it was possible.

The parking, by the way, is over there.

I'm quite anti-social.

But that's fine, because Bianca will definitely not miss it like this.

I wonder if she recognized me already.

Oh, I must say it again?

I saw a blue Fiesta driving past, so I figured it would be you.

Do you like it? -It's nice from a distance. It is dark outside.

From a distance? Up close you do not like it?

I do not know, I must take a closer look.

I finish this off here, right?

You should actually have permission from the boss.

I asked at the information desk, it was alright.

Oh, she said that?

This is quite a strange experience.

For the first time since I got my driver's license ...

... Is there someone else going to drive my car.

And I sit in the passenger's seat.

Well darling, how does it feel?

May I first have a look where everything is?

No.

Okay.

That's that.

That's just it, okay.

And I can just do so without lifting?

Could you turn off the light, please?

And get that camera out of my face.

Well guys, you'll soon find out if we survived.

Bianca's driving was excellent yesterday, of course.

Today I am at Haags Popcentrum.

Last week you saw me buying drum sticks.

What I'm going to do today is hit the skins.

I rented a room here.

The next four hours I can make as much noise as I please.

Here I'm going to put down the drums. I got all the stuff right here.

And a microphone stand so I can record some stuff as well.

But we're not going to do that in a very fancy way today.

Or actually maybe we do.

We're just using an iPhone today.

Crispy sound right?

For my band It's the Music Apple Juice I wrote most of the songs using an iPhone or iPad.

Usually I first recorded the guitar and bass parts over a click track with GarageBand.

The instruments I plug in with the aid of a iRig HD. Amps and effects come from GarageBand.

Then I play a digital drum part or I put a drum machine underneath.

Then I take on vocals. Usually with iRig Mic, but sometimes I did the vocals on iMac using a Røde Broadcaster.

The song you hear now, is called Don't Wake Me Up Now.

What you're hearing is the original recording, but without the original digital drums.

I sing and play all the parts.

You hear 3 guitars, 1 bass and five vocals.

And of course drums, but that was already clear.

On my headphones I hear the instruments and vocals plus a click track.

The last time I played the drums is about 3 years ago.

Not surprising therefore that in this recording are still a few glitches.

But I recorded enough takes in two hours time to create an error-free version.

With a little cutting and pasting. Mind you.

Don't Wake Me Up Now, I wrote on May 21, 2013.

I had spent a few days in, because it was raining constantly.

Because I was so tired of this, I drove to the Wilhelminapark in Rijswijk.

The idea for this song came during a walk through the rain.

At home I was soaked and so I played the guitars you're hearing right now.

In addition to the drums, everything is recorded in three takes or less per part.

I never told the real story behind this song.

When performing with the band, I said sometimes it's about sex in the morning.

I told the band, it is about the walk in rainy Rijswijk.

In interviews on the radio, I have told other stories about it.

None of them were true.

The lyrics are about a dream I had the night before.

In that dream, I jumped into the sea from a cliff.

I did not expect to survive the jump, but continued to live under water.

The second verse is about the walk to the rock.

The next thing that happened in my dream, that I was washed up on a beach.

At the beach I was sleeping and I did not want to wake up.

I did wake up, of course, but fortunately in my own bed.

My band performed for the last time in September 2014.

I have some songs that got to be recorded with real drums.

It took me a few years to get myself to starting this project.

The day has finally come. This session was only the beginning.

Good enough, I'm busy for thirty minutes now

Since the drum kit was built up.

And the first blister is a fact.

So I'm going to get a patch.

Three hours later.

It is now twenty past six.

I have recorded one song.

I've tried another one.

But that didn't work out because there's something in the pace that is not quite right.

And I have a done a song just off the cuff ...

... That is a really quite a heavy song.

But I don't have it on film.

Maybe you'll get to hear some of it soon.

I'm actually done with it for now.

So I go pack the drums ...

... and then I'm heading home.

I have a dry mouth.

The blisters are on my fingers.

And there's a little cooking to do. So I'm going to pack up the drums.

So far this video. Thank you for watching, until next time. Bye!

Aziz Ansari blasts Trump, casual racism in 'SNL' monologue.

"Yesterday, Trump was inaugurated, today an entire gender protested against him." Aziz Ansari didn't pull any punches when he took the stage on this week's Saturday Night Live, a day and a half after Donald Trump was inaugurated as President.

"Pretty cool to know though that he's probably at home right now watching a brown guy making fun of him," the Master of None star said, referring to Trump's history of tweeting his own reviews of SNL when the show features him.

Ansari suggested that you can't paint all of Trump's supporters with the same brush, comparing them to Chris Brown fans who are "just there for the tunes."

"Donald Trump is basically the Chris Brown of politics," Ansari added. "'Make America great again' is his These Hoes Ain't Loyal."

The host also directed his monologue at a "new group" he called the "lowercase kkk." A "kind of casual white supremacy."

"You gotta go back to pretending (you aren't racist)," he joked. He then implored Trump to make a speech condemning the "lowercase kkk." "Don't tweet about me or the show being lame."

Ansari ended his monologue on a hopeful note for those scared by the Trump presidency.

"Change doesn't come from presidents. Change comes from large groups of angry people. And if Day One is any indication, you are part of the largest group of angry people I've ever seen."
