What I'm Still Packing for Europe Summer One Year On - Duration: 10:01.

hey, everyone its Nikki welcome back to my channel feel like I haven't sat down and filmed a video and ages and

Some of you might have seen on Twitter and Facebook and stuff that I've been moving house

So really happy to finally be making a new video today

And it's a good one because I'm going to show you what I'm still packing for Europe summer

One year on so I just do kind of a similar video

Last year before we went to Italy in Greece

I think it's called packing for Europe summer with carry on.

Yeah, so [you] can check that one out first if you'd like to but this is my updated version on like what I still think

are

Important things to take and some things that I decided I won't be taking this year as well. Yeah, so let's get into [it]

I'm going to Portugal in two weeks for my 25th birthday, so

This is a really good. Where [is] me actually checking out that I've got everything I need [so]

First of all and see it carry-on suitcase that I took away with me last year

This is a really great suitcase actually, but I'm not sure whether I'm going to be taking it this year or not

I'm in the market for a carry-on backpack at the moment, so if any of you have any suggestions for a good carry-on backpack

I'd be really interested to hear them

Yet, but if I don't find those in time then this is probably what I'm going to be taking now

we'll just give you a bit of an overview of

Everything that I'm planning [to] pack here. This is kind of like everything [m] issues, so I'll start over on this end

[yes], so this is kind of all the like miscellaneous type stuff all the essentials charges water bottle

toiletries makeup bag

adapter

for Europe some like

euros that I've got left over a

little Money pouch and

locks and stuff in here basically I'm not going to go into too much detail on all of this stuff because I did do a

Post about my ultimate backpacking essentials, so you can find all [of] these essential type

things in that post which I'll link in the description box below and

one thing I will say is that this is [like] my toilet bag basically [where] I put my

toiletries and liquids in

Yeah, I used to carry like I used to enjoy carrying kind of a bigger

toilet bag you know those fancy ones that are like really pretty and cool, but

Over time I kind of just realized there wasn't really much point

it was just taking up space, and then you always have to pull out your

liquids and stuff to go through airport security anyway, so I just found it was actually easier to put my

Toiletries into a clear plastic bag and that's basically my toilet bag now

[and] it kind of encourages me not to take more than I need as well. I still need to add like a mini

Shampoo and conditioner in here and probably a couple of other things, but yes, that's the basic idea

[yeah], and then I just have like a small

Makeup bag as well, so yeah, that's basically everything [bare]. I also have this small like

Crossbody

Bags that I like to carry it's really handy for traveling. Yes

Oh that's those essential type things there, but then the main thing. I really want to talk about is all of the clothes I

feel like there's really quite an art to

Packing well and like getting to your [destination] and actually having the things that you want

So I sort of have a strategy about how I pack I

Like think about how many days I'm going to be away what type of activities?

I'm going to be you're doing on those days

And then I plan out an outfit for each day basically [and] perhaps a change for the evening of so

That's basically [what's] happened here, and then I've laid [it] out

based on just like

kind of categories, so one thing [that] I always forget [to] pack enough [of]

Is nice clothes to go out and at night so here I've got

Like some just really summery day dresses

But then I've also got a nicer like black dress to wear out at night, and this one's kind of a maxI dress

But it's a bit sparkly

If you can see so that's quite nice to wear like to a nice dinner or something

And I also have a couple of dresses

Over there hanging up which I might take those as well

Basic Like T-Shirts

A couple of those and kind of like bit more of a fun top. I've got

Two pairs of shorts and always take a couple of long sleeve tops as well, it's so changeable

During summer especially like if you're not traveling

during the peak of summer like july and august I guess that [you're] generally quite reliable, but

any time of the minute like june and september still can get a bit cold especially if you're out [on] the water or

Later at night so yeah, I do have a couple of

longer Sleeve top [stare] and

a pair of jeans as I am and then I've got a

Beach towel which will most likely double as my shower towel

Usually I would take a microfiber towel to shower with but I don't want to be carrying two towels

So I'll just use this for both

I've got of course some tiles or bathing suit

and

Half this is [my] super cheesy hat that I got from greece last year. It's kind of embarrassing, but I still kind of like it

Yeah

So that's kind of like the basic gist of what clothing. I'm going to be taking and

Most likely I'm going to add a few [more] things before

actually leave, and I also have my shoes laid out here, so I've got a

Pair of nice like wedges to kind of wear out at night

I really like taking wedges. Well. I just like wearing wedges in General, but especially in Europe

I find wedges are quite good because like walking on Cobblestone streets and stuff

The heels won't get stuck in the cobblestones, so that's good, and they're quite like sturdy like that's got a good base on them

[this] shoes are also really comfortable. [I] bought these in

Athens last year, and they're just like the best wedges ever

What brand are they?

Yo Connell sounds like a japanese brand

Yo connell yeah, they're really good shoes of course I have a pair of Jandals or flip-flops

and then up here are

Walking shoes or day shoes if you want to call them a lot of things that I haven't talked about at all yet is

my little passport wallet

Not entirely sure whether I'm still going to take this a lot um it is like handy in terms of just having

Somewhere that you know your password is and it's all kind of like safe [in] there

[but] I always kind of find most of the time. I end up just putting it in my

Like Handbag or whatever, so I?

Sometimes feel like it's just taking up extra space

So I'm kind of undecided with um the [other] thing which I won't be

packing anymore from the last time I said this video was nail polishes just like

extra Little things like that which

Let you think might be handy to have if you want to touch [up] your nails or whatever like I never

End up using it and it just takes that space and wait so leaving everything like that behind

And the other thing which I'm still undecided about as well is

this raincoat

Obviously, I need to take some sort of like

light jacket or sweater

and just not quite [sure] when it's going to be [I]

It might be helpful to have a raincoat in case it does rain then I can still get out and about

So I probably will take that

Yeah, but it's just one of those things. That's like I

Hardly ever end up using it. I don't think I used it at all when I went away last summer

And it was just taking up space in my bag, so it's kind of like annoying

But then it could be really useful as well, if it did rain if I find a light

sweater or a jacket

[before] [I] go, then I might just end up taking that and said so yeah

THE BEST TIP FOR STAYING MOTIVATED DURING WEIGHT LOSS - Duration: 3:58.

Hey everybody and welcome to the video.

This is Josh here, and this is another episode of 'Walk with Me'.

So this week has been pretty good.

I am currently walking and going to my new store.

No more train, no more transit.

I'm just going to work right now I feel like I've already accomplished so much today.

Had some coffee, checked my emails, checked all the comments, still had time to go to

the gym then for a full workout, went to the grocery store, got all of my food and everything

ready for work, felt really good.

So much time.

I don't have to rely on the transit either, and I don't have to leave early enough to

account for errors.

So having that dependable consistency is going to be incredible on top of the extra time.

I'm really happy too, I get to up my frequency for weightlifting which is going to be really

great.

I had to dip it back down for a few months there just because I could not fit it into

my day.

I had to lower the frequency down to 3-4 days a week, just because I did not have the time

to commit to it, my focus was just elsewhere.

Now that I've got a little bit more time, I am going to be upping it back to 5 or 6

days a week which is really cool.

I'll have more time to spend in the gym on those days instead of trying to rush through

a whole upper body workout.

So it's going to be really good to get back into my old gym schedule.

I used to workout 6 days a week, so I think I'm going to be going back to that I really

liked it.

Alright, so my new split is going to be back and biceps, chest and triceps, and legs.

Repeat, then day off and that'll be the 7 days of the week.

So I'm going to be switching back to that workout routine.

So we're going to have some new surroundings for the walk with me series now, what do you

guys think?

This whole neighborhood is just beautiful.

A lot of old houses, a lot of old trees, a lot of moss.

It's just a few blocks from downtown but it feels like a really quiet suburb.

There was also another topic I wanted to talk about.

I get a lot of questions— I get a lot of comments from people asking, 'How do you

keep the motivation to keep up with your diet, or to prep your food, or to go to the gym,

or to stay healthy?'

There's no secrets, there is no special sauce, there is no magic.

It's about priorities.

You have to be willing to put in the work, and you have to be able to place the importance

on whatever you're working towards.

In my eyes, I see it as 'How do you find the motivation to go to your job every day?'

or 'How do you find the motivation to pay your bills?'

Because you frickin' have to, and that's that.

I mean…

It's the mentality that you have to have if you're going to succeed and if you're

going to follow through with your weight loss.

You know, anyone that's lost weight; we're not special.

We all have our circumstances and our troubles, and our struggles with things.

The only difference is that anyone that lost weight followed through and treated it like

it was a job, like they had to do it.

That doesn't necessarily mean you have to hate doing it.

People love what they do and they love working, but you need to have that level of commitment.

Like your finances depend on it, or your life depends on it.

It has to be a number one priority, or it's never going to work.

So set yourself up for success and get your priorities in check.

Top 12 Things that Should be Mounts in WoW! - Duration: 6:05.

Hi!

I'm Hazel, and this is my list of 12 creatures from WoW that I think should be made into

mounts.

There's no real reason to think that these will happen, but there's ALSO no reason to

think that they WON'T!

All of the models are in the game already, so I can dream.

#12: Bunnies.

This is a favourite of mine.

In pets, we've got dust bunnies, pink egg bunnies, bloody murder bunnies and celestial

bunnies.

So when do we get a big bunny we can ride around on?

Rabbits got a model update in Legion and they're looking EXTRA cute now.

Slap a saddle on a big bunny and my gnome will ride nothing else for months.

I could totally see this being a Kirin Tor mount as a sort of failed-mage-experiment

dealio.

Anyways, I want it.

Gimme a bunny.

#11: Blighthawks.

Remember these things?

They're all over the Plaguelands.

They could re-use the animations and even the base model of the Raven Class mount rogues

are getting and just give it a bandagey, skin-less, uh, skin.

Imagine how cool you would look as an Undead flapping around on a Blighthawk.

If they ever added racial flying mounts, they could totally give these to Undead and as

an Alliance I would be suuper jealous.

#10: Crabs.

On a basic level, crabs aren't that exciting but think of all the model variants that we

already have.

We have moonshell crabs, ghost crabs, big armored stabby crabs, and I could have sworn

somewhere there was a crab holding a fork.

My idea here is that they could be a combo land-swimming mount that does normal ground

mount speed on land, and swimmer mount speed under water.

Maybe it could even do ground mount speed on the ocean floor.

I think the whole idea has a lot of potential and I hope that one day we meet our crabby

steeds.

#9: Moths.

So back at the racial flying mount idea, Draenei would totally rock moth mounts.

I'm a little shocked that we have seventy thousand different moth battle pets and not

a single moth mount.

It would be cool if they left colored dust behind their wings like the fae dragon does

and they'd be pretty in armored or unarmored versions.

Maybe the model looks weird when blown up that big but I think they'd be nice.

#8: Sheep.

This is another species of critter that got a model update in Legion, and they look great

now.

They're so fluffy!

They've already got fantastic idle animations, and as long as they don't look too weird running

I think it'd be AWESOME.

We already have goats and a rooster mount, I don't think sheep are that much of a stretch.

#7: Turkeys.

The Pilgrim's Bounty holiday already gives us a rockin Turkey pet.

How cool would it be to find a big one we can ride?

It could be a Pilgrim's Bounty quest to go looking for a legendary giant turkey that

turns out to be a holiday WORLD BOSS who either drops or has a chance to drop a giant turkey

mount.

Yeah it would look kinda goofy but if you take all the goofy mounts out of WoW then

I don't wanna play anymore.

#6: A Mecha Spider Tank.

So this sounds kinda wacky but Trade Prince Gallywix ALREADY HAS ONE.

I've been looking for a good excuse to go take that guy out and stealing his ride is

as good as any.

He's not a very nice dude so by video game rules we can totally take his stuff.

There's a whole host of different mech-mount ideas beyond the sky golem and mechanostriders

we have now, but I really like the spider tank.

If we ever get to fight Trade Prince Gallywix in a raid, he BETTER drop his mount.

#5: Gargoyles.

I don't think we've seen these recently since the Legion brought out those big crazy fel

screamer things.

The Legion definitely used them back in the Attack on Hyjal, so maybe they just retired.

OR MAYBE they retreated from the Legion and formed their own faction!

MAYBE in Patch 9.3 one day we grind rep with a coalition of Gargoyles all Klaxxi style

and they grant us their firstborn to fly around as mounts.

Weirder things have happened.

#4: Fireflies.

After way too many hours spend grinding for the Firefly pet in Outland, I though I'd never

want to see one again.

Well, times change.

I'm a big fan of smaller flying mounts that don't completley black out the sky with their

wingspans.

Firefly mounts would be super cute!

The wing animation might be a bit spastic on a fully grown mount sized firefly but I

bet that could be sorted out.

#3: Deer/Gazelles.

Not like the new baby deer pets we got in Legion with the giant eyes- I have a feeling

those would be terrifying if they were huge.

I'm talking a rideable version of the unarmored Doe model.

The Gazelle is a very similar idea and they could potentially be Horde/Alliance counterparts.

The moose mounts and stag druids are a step in the right direction, but I'm looking for

something just a little bit more delicate.

I think deer make great sense as a ground mount and would love to see that added to

the game.

#2: A Scraps Style Skele Dog.

Getting Scraps as a new battle pet in 7.2 was the birthday present I never knew I wanted.

He's ferocious and frightening but at the end of the day, he's still a puppy!

The model seems very similar to the Legion Collector's Edition Felstalker mount, and

I think a lot of the same animations could be used.

It'd be cool to see more skele dogs make it into the game as mounts, maybe even in a variety

of colors.

Finally, my personal top pick for WoW creatures that should be mounts: SPOREBATS!

Bias alert: I friggin love Sporebats.

Back in the day before pets were account wide, I'd stall out for weeks in Zangarmarsh on

every character I ever leveled grinding Sporeggar rep for the Sporebat pet.

Something about their little spoon shaped wings and tail bloobles just does it for me.

I figure you could fly around on top of one a lot like a Nether Ray.

They're just so soothing and I hope we one day get a chance to collect more of them.

OR, they could make a sporebat PLUSH!

I don't know how the poor little guy would sit up but we could make it happen.

So, those are my top picks for WoW creatures that I'd like to see as mounts!

They seem to add mounts to the game at a pretty good rate so I think there's definitely hope

for at least some of these.

Why The YouTube Algorithm Will Always Be A Mystery - Duration: 5:00.

Back when online video was a different shape,

searching for videos on YouTube relied on…

well, honesty, really.

Creators would put up a video,

they would tell YouTube what was in it,

and YouTube would look at the title and the description and the tags

and take it from there.

And immediately, people tried to cheat.

It turned into an arms race.

Keyword stuffing, tag spam, the reply girls of 2012.

If there was any way to guess the YouTube algorithm's priorities,

then spammers exploited it.

And desperate video creators changed what they were making

to fit what they thought YouTube wanted,

based on rumour, speculation, and extrapolating way too much

from way too little data.

So recently, YouTube has just kept quiet.

Their parent company, Google, learned this lesson back when

online video was a RealPlayer window

and connecting to the internet sounded like the screeching of a robot cat:

if Google ever gave a hint about how to boost web sites up their search results,

then there would be a rush of spammers trying to exploit that knowledge.

So the advice was always:

Just make good things.

We'll figure it out.

But now, on YouTube, it's not that the folks who control the algorithm

won't tell people how it works.

It's that they can't.

And here's the evidence: a paper written by YouTube engineers,

explaining they're using Google's research into machine-learning to recommend videos.

That is the same kind of software that creates those weird Deep Dream images,

that makes their text to speech sound so realistic,

and that beat the world's best Go player at his own game.

And I know I'm simplifying a bit here,

but machine learning, the way Google does it,

is basically a black box.

You give a neural network some input,

like the game board in Go.

And it gives you outputs: moves it thinks might work.

Those outputs are tested,

and the results go back into the box,

and then you repeat that process a billion or so times,

and it starts to get really good.

But no-one can look inside that black box and see how it works:

it's designed by a computer, for a computer.

And neural networks are great if you're playing a game

with an obvious scoring and points system.

You win, or you lose.

But training that black box on YouTube videos is a bit messier.

It's not just that human behaviour is unpredictable and complicated:

it's trying to work out what counts as winning in the first place.

If YouTube tells the algorithm "show videos that people like",

then it'll kill any channel which talks about politics,

where people hit dislike if they disagree.

And it'll silence anyone who has a small but vocal group

loudly disagreeing with them.

If YouTube tells the algorithm, "okay, show videos that people share",

then videos about private things like medical issues or sex education vanish,

and folks who have a small, loyal, but quiet fanbase

disappear into their own little world.

And YouTube creators, of course,

would love the algorithm to recommend only their own videos...

even when the rest of the world doesn't actually want to watch them.

So YouTube started out, according to the paper,

giving their algorithm the reasonable goal of

"increase watch time".

But that has a few problems.

Because there's no way for a computer to determine quality, or truth.

At least, not yet.

The system doesn't understand context,

it can't tell the difference between actual, reliable information

and unhinged, paranoid conspiracy clickbait.

Although, admittedly, neither can a lot of people,

which is why these videos are getting a lot of traction.

And it can't tell the difference

between videos that are suitable for children,

made with education in mind,

and creepy, trademark-infringing unofficial efforts.

It just knows what kids click on and what they watch.

So, sure, the algorithm might increase watch time, in the short term…

but a lot of the videos it recommends are going to be questionable at best

and actively harmful at worst.

And they're going to be the sort of thing

that advertisers get really nervous about.

Remember, the algorithm is a black box.

No-one knows what it's doing.

All YouTube can do is change the feedback it's getting,

change the signals that say "this is good" or "this is bad".

If YouTube wanted a human to watch and categorise every video being uploaded

as "safe" or "unsafe" in real time,

they would need about 100,000 employees working shifts round the clock.

Plus, that would expose them to legal issues:

in most of the countries where YouTube has an office,

if you let an algorithm do the filtering

and then manually step in when you get a complaint,

you're legally fine.

But if you approve everything with a human in the loop,

you are a publisher,

and you're opening yourself up to some very expensive lawsuits.

The ideal algorithm, the ideal black box,

from YouTube's point of view,

would be one with a goal of "increase ad revenue",

and which thought about the long-term,

which knew about social issues,

and potential advertiser boycotts, and financial strategies,

and public perception, and what's suitable for kids,

and... and about truth.

At which point, what you have is something

that can do the job of YouTube's senior management team.

And artificial intelligence hasn't gotten that good.

At least, not yet.
