hi friends so I recently read Teach Our

Children Well: Why the January 21st 2017

Marches Matter by Karen gross and

Debbi Wraga and I think it is a great book.

this book consists mostly of pictures

from the marches as well as various

statements about and from the event

paired with those pictures. I think it has

incredibly value at storing a moment in

history and especially in our country's

history. America was founded and shaped

by protests, and by activists willing to

stand up for their values and this book

honors both of the activists in our

history, and the ones still at work today,

and hopefully the future ones that are

being raised now in this tradition of

standing up for our beliefs. By bringing

attention to the stories and assembling

this book the authors are pushing this

day from being a moment into being a

movement. This book proved to be

thought-provoking in showing how the

impactful signs that were at these

marches were often made independently

from each other, how this in many ways

was a community based on values that did

not orchestrate their message, but shared

one all the same. And this was a

beautiful collection of how we are more

powerful, more capable, when we work

together as a community to lift up each

other and to lift up our values. I've said

values a lot in this video. I realize

that, but we're going to keep saying it

because they matter. This book gave me the

opportunity to really reflect on

not only the values expressed at the Women's

March, but my own values as well and why

I value them, and want to preserve them,

as well as why I want to pass them onto the

next generation. This book is a

commitment to values, to community, and to

the future that so many would like to see. I

would give this book four out of five

protest signs - because the unit I give in

order to review this book are entirely

irrelevant to the actual quality of the

I am Groot (The Many Origin Stories of Groot) - That Sci-fi Show - Duration: 6:45.

Welcome to That Sci-Fi Show, I am Groot!

Today's video is part one in a series where we discuss the Guardians of the Galaxy.

So let's talk about Groot, right after the bump.

This video will be voice over only.

We're trying to do a five video week as a test to see if it's plausible and in order

to pull it off we've shortened each video to 5-7 minutes and I'm making a couple of

them without live action to save some time.

Don't worry, you'll still get to see me injured just as much, if not more.

If this doesn't work out then we'll try three 5-7 minute videos per week but either way,

we have to raise the number of uploads to appease the YouTube gods.

I just wan to make sure that the quality of the channel doesn't degrade as a result.

I'm also using this as an opportunity to try and improve the audio in these videos.

I've made some changes to how the audio is recorded and processed in post so please let

me know in the comments section below if the quality has improved.

I'm also working on getting some new audio equipment to try and further raise our production

value.

Now onto Groot.

As can be expected of an enigmatic tree who can only verbally express himself with three

words, Groot's origins are a bit of a mystery.

Created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, Groot actually started out as a villain in the comics!

In the 60s, he made his debut in Tales to Astonish as a malevolent alien who came to

Earth from outer space to capture and study humans.

He later fought the Hulk in the 70s, and it was only in 2006 that he was re-purposed as

a good guy and added to the Guardians of the Galaxy.

Groot is a member of the Flora Colossus species, hailing from Planet X.

The Flora Colossi are a species of tree-like beings who pass down their collective knowledge

from generation to generation by their rulers, the Arbor Masters.

The Groot we all know and love is of noble lineage, but found himself growing close to

the Maintenance Mammals, tiny squirrel-like creatures who the Flora Colossi usually treat

with prejudice.

Groot's first origin story explains that he was exiled from Planet X after killing

a sapling to protect a Maintenance Mammal, which earned him the anger of his people.

However, different origins for Groot have been presented in the Groot ongoing series

and other Guardians storylines.

In Groot's ongoing series, Groot becomes disillusioned after learning his people were

abducting beings from other planets for study.

(Sound familiar?)

He manages to rescue a little girl named Hannah and gets her back to Earth, but is exiled

from his people for the favor.

Maybe the most offbeat origin story for Groot can be found in Edgardo Miranda Rodriguez's

"Guardians of Infinity," in which one woman claims Groot is a sentient version of

the ceiba tree, a species of plant important to Puerto Rican folklore for carrying the

spirits of the indigenous peoples of that island.

So, in one potential timeline, Groot could be Puerto Rican!

His path to joining the Guardians of the Galaxy is a complicated one, as well.

In the crossover series Annihilation: Conquest, which reintroduced the character in 2006,

Groot is a prisoner of the Kree and the last Flora Colossus in existence.

In joining Star-Lord and his strike force to battle the Kree, Groot fell in with Rocket

Raccoon, the two forming an inseparable friendship.

Neither of the Guardians of the Galaxy movies go too deeply into Groot's real origins

– Rhomann Dey's rap sheet for Groot just identifies him as a Flora Colossus from Planet

X – but the original rap sheet in the teaser for Guardians mentions his planet as Taluhnia.

Otherwise, we can safely assume Groot's origins are similar to the comics.

However, in the Disney animated series of Guardians of the Galaxy, we do get to see

young Groot as a sapling on his home planet.

In this continuity, Groot's people are all born from a communal seed called the World

Pod, and Groot is revealed to be the last of his species, due to Ronan the Accuser's

invasion of his planet.

However, a later episode reveals that Groot carries with him a mysterious green orb that

could theoretically be used to restore his species.

So that's it for today.

This creates tremendous emotional suffering as we contract into the emotion itself and

lose our perspective.

And it also feeds the emotion itself and prevents it changing.

How to Style Short Hair ll A Line Long Bob Hairstyle - Duration: 6:44.

hey again moms today I want to show you

how I style my new a line haircut where

it's a little bit shorter in the back

and longer in the front I was really

excited when I got this haircut done

because I was in a total mom bun

rut so come along when I do this particular

hairstyle I like to start with somewhat

damp hair I usually put my makeup on

first and then I get my hair done if for

any reason it's gotten a little bit too

dry maybe I took a little extra long

my makeup that morning I just use a

spray bottle with water and I'll spray

it and get it a little bit more wet

to get out any extra tangles I use a wide

tooth comb you want to start with a

wider tooth comb because that's actually

going to lessen the breakage that you do

to your hair when you're brushing so

that'll get kind of the majority of the

tangles out and then if you want to use

a regular brush after go ahead and do

that but always start with a wide tooth

comb this is the beach babe texturizing

hair cream this is actually going to

give you a little bit of a matte look to

your hair so it's going to take away the

shine kind of take away a little bit of

the oil it does not look bad though so I

just get a little bit maybe like about

that much on my hand rub it through it's

kind of like glue really it's like

putting glue in your hands but I just

kind of take it off in sections and you

could actually style your hair with it

like with this stuff without even drying

it and it'll just kind of give you that

Beach wavy look but I like to use it

because it really helps to also add

volume to your hair I'm actually going

to use a little bit more so I can feel

that it's spread out pretty quickly some

news about the same size again so I'm

just going to continue making sure I'm

spreading that out and you'll notice

that it will get sticky like I said this

stuff is kind of like glue when I dry my

hair because this look is going to be a

super straight look I don't go for the

rounded brush I go for a flat straight

brush like this because I'm going to use

this with my blow-dryer it also has this

on the end because it's going to

concentrate

the air to the specific chunk of hair

that I want it to dry so gives only a

little bit more control and I'll show

you how I add some volume too

okay now that I finished drying my hair

up hopefully you guys can see that it's

added quite a bit of volume my hair is

really pretty thin and very kind of fine

not your mother's Beach babe really

helped with giving me that initial oomph

and also with the blow drying with doing

that technique that I showed you guys

and just kind of going in small sections

and pulling it out away from the roots

is really how I get that volume and then

I kind of very gently started to brush

through when you're brushing it's

important to remember start at the

bottom work your way up because you

don't want to grab your tangles from the

top and pull all the way down because

that's just really gonna hurt you're not

gonna want to do that now that I've

brushed out the tangles from my hair I'm

going to add something extra for even

more volume which is going to be again

that not your mother's clean-freak and

this is a dry shampoo so if you're not

familiar with dry shampoo or what it is

just so you know I did wash my hair

today in the shower however if you did

not you can also use dry shampoo to get

it really nice and clean the reason I'm

using dry shampoo on top of already

having washed my hair is because it adds

a lot of volume and especially because I

tend to get a little bit greasy

throughout the day I live in a hot

climate so if I'm sweating this stuff

absorbs all the extra yuck so make sure

you shake it up really well and I go to

the roots and spray and on my hair you

can't see it too bad because my hair's

so light but it does spray out kind of a

white mist so when you're done with this

you want to make sure that you're really

blending it well I'm just going to

continue all the way to the other side

and sometimes I'll add a little extra

and back as well okay now that I look

totally 80s along with using the not

your mother's clean-freak

dry shampoo another dry shampoo that I

like is the Nexus dry shampoo refreshing

mist with pearl extract I really have no

idea what the pearl extract is for other

than maybe the fact that it's really

really soft on your hair and it's going

to be a little bit more it's a lot

lighter than this one or so I'll kind of

separate my hair into smaller chunks and

I'll just go ahead and use my

straightener throughout

and now's the time I'm actually going to

start setting my hair with a comb

through mist also from Nexxus this one is

a medium hold and I'd like to use it

because it's really really light and if

I make a mistake I can brush through it

if you want to you could tease that part

of your head I don't like to do too much

of that I'll maybe use this wide toothed

comb and get the hair up a little bit

and then again kind of brushing over the

top of it to smooth it out but the

reason why you really want to stay away

from over teasing the back of your hair

is you're gonna start getting bald spots

because it's going to damage the hair so

close to your scalp that it's going to

start breaking there and you may even

start noticing you know kind of like I

said bald spots on your head and you

don't really want that so if you're

going to tease it you need to save it

for special occasions when you really

need that volume to stay for a long time

If all else fails just use a little

extra dry hairspray in there so you

don't want to overwork it get it where

you like it add a finishing touch with

some hairspray there's anything you need

to kind of smooth out very gently take

your brush and smooth it I really like

this haircut being a stay-at-home mom

it's nice and short and it's really

simple and easy to do which was really

really convenient when we're running out

of the house on our way to school in the

So I sort of knew that animals were being slaughtered, but I'd never really seen it

with my own eyes.

For me, it was a very easy decision to make.

I just couldn't justify consuming an animal product, and that's, in a nutshell, why

I'm now a vegan.

I've never felt healthier in my life.

I've played cricket for, you know, 15 years as a professional and, you know, I feel really

strong now at 41 years of age.

Athletes are increasingly coming to the correct conclusion that you can get all the nutrients

you need from a whole-food plant-based diet, and they're recovering better, they're

feeling good, they're feeling fit and strong.

Well, I get my protein from lentils, beans, legumes, chickpeas.

The issue of leather cricket balls in our sport, it is a discussion very much worth having.

The game has evolved.

I don't see why it can't evolve to be a more compassionate sport.

There's nothing macho about treating animals terribly, and there's nothing macho about

putting your health at risk.

There's nothing macho about polluting the Earth.

We're all here on this one marble, and we just got to work together.

On this occasion I will share the trick that is how to hide photos and videos on Android without using additional applications

Usually people hide photos and videos using apps downloaded from Playstore

but actually if we are careful, these photos and videos can be hidden without using additional application

the way is through my file application or file manager.

File Manager application is usually on every Android phone is always there

now I open the file manager, now I turn the screen first after

opened then here are two options my device and SD card.

I suggest to store photos and videos that are hidden is in Micro SD, because so as not to interfere with existing system files

now open for SD card on my phone

There are two folders of Android and DCIM

Click the third point above the right

Then open the settings (pengaturan)

Swipe right to show hidden files

Then open the sd card folder

Now we will see a new folder named ".android_obb"

This folder can be hidden, and later photos and videos will be in hide ..

Will be moved to this folder

Now select the photos and videos you want to hide, then move to the .android_obb folder

Hey bosses welcome back to the Traction

First session room

where we are learning how to use the

tools of "Earn It!" to create great people in

our company that we've already learned

how to help them see it I gave you some

good nuggets there help them see the

vision and really come together and

squeeze that gaps where people see the

vision faster and can be more productive

faster last time we talked about and I

coached you around pasea tool so your

people have the say it tools in the book

I gave you some say it tools so that you

guys can really start having great

conversations being open and honest

getting on the same page so today what

we're doing is we're talking about the

solve it tools so grab in my handy-dandy

marker again going over here to the

whiteboard one of the greatest oops

technical malfunction here that's all

right that's what happens here when

you're working with one blue robot you

are just authentic and you keep on going

all right there we go so one of the most

powerful tools that we use in a OS the

entrepreneurial operating system is how

we teach leadership teams to identify

discuss and solve their problems because

most of the time companies and bosses

just like you so if this is eye-opening

to you you need to read that book

traction most of us just discuss things

so I am really passionate about teaching

leadership teams how to identify discuss

and solve but what I found after working

with leadership teams over 50 leadership

teams is that what's really powerful is

when we teach our whole entire company

how to identify discuss and solve so in

the urn toolbox there's a great chapter

in there teaching the employees your

employees how to identify discuss and

solve so what is your part in helping

them identify discuss and solve well

there's a couple of things that you can

do to really help coach them around this

so let's imagine with me that we are

trying to solve a problem and because

you're a great

coach boss you are helping them really

identify so sometimes employees get

stuck and there's nothing we can do

about it

or we have no choice or we've tried that

and so here is a good thing that you can

do to help them get unstuck out of that

mode and it's all about the words you

use so there's a distinction here then

I'm going to teach you and you can use

this in all kinds of places in your life

but it's the difference between should

and could should and put so think think

about this when I say to you what should

you do your brain immediately goes to a

place of what is the right answer

and you're only going to tell me what

the right answer is well you know what

if we're stuck on a problem we don't

know what the right answer is yet so

think about what your brain feels when I

say what could we do just changing those

two words what could we do what this

word does is it opens up our mind to all

of the possibilities and so I do this is

kind of one of my little secrets when

I'm coaching the leadership teams in

their sec I'll say what could we do

there's no wrong answer in the room

right now what could we do and we start

listing all of these possibilities that

we could do you'll get more creative

solutions out of that so that's one of

them that you can try all right the next

one that you can try to really help your

people solve more issues is I'm checking

my notes again because this is a good

one oh this is the best one this is well

this is the fun one because that's what

it's all about you're asking your people

what is a fun way that we could solve

this problem again it's working with

brain science it's get is opening up

that creative place in their brain what

is a fun way that we could solve this so

have a fun little story about this

because we're all about fun let's see is

it a fun story or just interesting we'll

see I'll let you be the judge

so last

week I got two emails from two different

CEOs these CEOs are not people that I

coach these are CEOs of products that I

use so one of them is my CRM tool we

like insightly well apparently they had

they had they had messed up and so the

CEO issued this email to all of their

customers which is a great honorable

thing for him to do but the tone of the

email was we're so sorry we don't want

to screw up again we we want to serve

you you're our greatest client but the

tone was really you know we screwed up

and we should have done something better

so I got another email from another

vendor that I use this is optimized at

Brian Johnson check it out optimized at

me it's my favorite thing ever

philosophers notes well I had signed up

to go to one of his conferences in

September and he cancelled it and

instead of saying oh no Jill I'm so

sorry and this is wrong and and I should

have never done that to you should have

never given you my word and then backed

out on it he goes you know what we found

something better to do and he just had

this fun way of solving his problem and

I can kind of think he and his team

probably said what would a fun way be to

break the news to Jill that we're not

keeping our word but to just create

lightness and fun out of it so even if

you're a super serious company go ahead

and say what is a fun way to solve this

problem it just opened up the

possibilities to really help you

identify the real issue and come up with

some really great solutions all right

I've got one more for you here and that

one more is all right I'm sharing some

secrets with you here it's called the

pendulum so the pendulum is when your

people get stuck on I don't know what to

do so kind of all of these are but this

is a good one so what you're going to do

in the pendulum exercise so here's the

pendulum right and you know it swings

from one side to the other right what

you do to do to do

and what you're going to do is you are

going to be in a situation where they're

going around and around saying we could

do this no we can't do that we could do

this no we can't do that they're going

around and around with their solution

and so one of the things you can do is

come up with a crazy solution so let's

just let's say maybe we're deciding to

install a new CRM that happens to be

really hot right now everybody is

installing new ciara so words we're

trying to decide do we need to install

an ACR and they're going around and

around what do we need to and so one of

the things you could throw out is hey

how about we go back to paper and pens

and we don't keep track of our leads at

all and so what that does it's a crazy

solution you probably know it's not the

right solution but you're giving them

something on the extreme end of this is

the extreme end and what it does is it

helps them get closer to the right

answer like oh no no we don't want to go

back to paper and pencil and not keeping

track of leads as a company we don't

want to do that okay what's next and you

just start bringing them in to the right

solution but at least it starts letting

them know what they don't want to do if

they're having a hard time deciding on

the other end of the spectrum you might

say how about we invest three hundred

thousand dollars into a CR and have the

best CRM ever I don't know we don't want

that either

so it just starts to bring them more to

realistic so try the pendulum hopefully

you can try the fun and I'd love you to

start committing to and of course just

try it using the word good instead of

shit all right so I hope you loved those

little coaching moments this is how

you're going to help your people solve

problems within the company again the

magic happens when everyone in the

company janitor the CEO you know sales

people clear over to finance everybody

all 100 of your people knowing how to

identify discuss and solve of course
