Youtube daily report May 17 2017

What is Benidorm all about?

Let's find out.

Oh, I love Benidorm it has everything.

If you want you've got the quiet family time, you've got nice evening meals, you've got the party lifestyle,

we have the beach. Benidorm caters for everybody.

You know UP your life.

Benidorm is Florida of Europe.

It's too beautiful here to go back.

Welcome to Costa Blanca where we find Benidorm between Valencia and Alicante.

Benidorm is best known as the nightlife party city of the Costa Blanca North.

With over 70,000 inhabitants, it has the most high-rise buildings per capita in the world.

There is more to it than just a party life:

beautiful sandy beaches,

theme parks,

old town

and great shopping.

Until the 1950s Benidorm was a small fishing village.

As the fishing industry began to decline the town council focused more and more on developing Benidorm

as a tourist attraction.

At that time the swimming suit "bikini" was banned by General Franco's regime,

And in 1953 to increase the number of tourists, the mayor of Benidorm took his little Vespa scooter

and he went to meet Franco to get the approval and he surprisingly got it.

Today Benidorm is Spain's biggest holiday resort with 5 million tourists arriving per year.

And now let's visit a new bar.

Maria, you are Romanian, what are you doing here in Benidorm?

I always wanted to live in a nice, warm country.

I've been working in Holland for a few years and then my dream was to have my own bar.

I've been working there in one, so I've been saving some money so I've just decided to move to a nice, warm

and beautiful country close to the sea.

How is this bar different than other bars in Benidorm?

Well, I'm here …

I'm here, that makes a difference.

It's gonna be a family bar.

I want that people feel that when they are here and where everybody have fun and chill at the same time

that everybody feels at home.

So everybody can do what they want.

Just feel good.

Congratulations.

Thank you very much.

Are you planning to go back to Romania or Holland?

Ahem…for holiday, but not for living.

It's too beautiful here to go back.

And what do you like about Benidorm?

Benidorm has a bit of everything, has a bit of craziness, has a bit of chilling.

It's a modern city.

Maria, we are in Benidorm Poniente.

How is it different than other parts of Benidorm?

I like it more here because it's more quiet here, more elegant, better restaurants, better chillout places,

better beaches,

more space.

People are different.

I like that there are local people here, not that many tourists.

I like everybody, I like every person but I like Spanish people also, I like the language, I like speaking to them

in their language.

So, here you get to experience a little bit more authentic Benidorm?

Yes.

Yes, that's true, yes.

You can also take a stroll in historic old town of Benidorm.

If you want the genuine Spanish experience you must visit the Tapas Alley.

Let's take a walk.

El Cisne means swan?

In English, yes.

Tell me little bit about it…

El Cisne was a very, luxury restaurant many, many years ago,

and the terrace where the live music is today was a pond with swans in it.

El Cisne is very famous of the way that it is, because of the trees and the plants outside,

and it's just different than any other place that you will see in Benidorm and people when the come here

they come once and they come back and back and back because it has just some special ambiance that

I can't even understand myself, they love the music, the dancing, the antique shop, the market place and

everybody just comes and then they have a beautiful afternoon dancing and singing.

Hello, how are you?

Jaap tell me about Euro Clínica Rincón.

I founded Euro Clínica Rincón in 1998 with a vision of having a medical center and outpatient clinic

where doctors are working together, treating all kinds of patients with all kinds of machines, we provide doctors

to get the right diagnosis.

The only thing that we demand from a doctor who is working with us is that at least he speaks the

Spanish language and the English language.

Most of the doctors working in this clinic are Dutch actually.

What is unique about this clinic?

We are very personal with a patients, the patients feel they are more or less at home.

They feel comfortable.

They get a proper time.

I remember from Holland every 5 minutes the doctor has a new patient.

We don't work here on the clock.

If the patient needs a 15 minutes, he gets 15 minutes.

If the patient needs 30 minutes, they get 30 minutes.

And that's what the patients like, and...

we built quite a good name in the past 17 years.

What kind of services do you offer here?

We offer here a general practitioner.

It always starts with a general practitioner,

and from there he refers the patients to our medical specialists if necessary.

Then we have a cardiologist.

She is coming every week and doing all kind of necessary tests.

I see you also have home care?

Yes, we also do home care.

This is a business we started 6 years ago because here in Benidorm a lot of elderly people come and that's also

the reason why we started here in Benidorm.

The main reason that we can exist is the language, the communication.

"I'm going to print it and you get the copy to take home…"

Because communication is the most important thing between a doctor and a patient.

We have general dentistry in our clinic, that means general dentist performs almost every thinkable

treatment in the dentures.

Now, I will show you the room where we make the X-rays.

Here you see a fracture of the wrist

and here is a picture of the same wrist after the operation.

Almost all our clients are elderly people who like the sun in wintertime here in Spain, comparing to your country,

for instance, and my country, where it's very cold during the wintertime and here it's always nice.

That's also the reason why I found Spain because I saw elderly people living much more than they do in Holland,

for instance.

They are always in their homes, sheltering from the cold. And here you see people active on the streets,

on the beach, everywhere, so that's what I...

I like most.

I think you can say Benidorm is Florida of Europe.

Lucy tell me about Daytona's.

There are 2 right?

Yes, we have two Daytona's, we are open to any kinds of groups, hens, stag parties,

also to families, to kids, anybody is welcome to come it's a party lifestyle, you can also come for coffees,

for a quiet, relaxing drink on the terrace, it's a great place to come for everything.

All year long…

All year long.

We have live music every day.

What do you like about Benidorm?

Oh, I love Benidorm, it has everything.

If you want you've got quiet family time, you've got nice evening meals, you've got the party lifestyle,

we have the beach, you have everything.

Benidorm caters for everybody.

José, explain a little bit about Taita...

Taita... we opened 14 years ago.

And we opened as a creperie.

I went to Britain and learned to cook crepes,

and we opened as a creperie.

But I got hooked and little by little I learnt how to cook.

And we currently cook native and mediterranean cuisines.

We kept on cooking crepes, though.

We have specialized in native cuisine.

We cook... we also cook author's cuisine, but...

we cook types of rice.

Types of rice nobody cooks because they are native,

and the recipes were our grandmother's.

And the restaurant is quite famous, right?

Well...

Plenty of pictures.

Oh, well, yes. Some famous people have come, but many clients are pictured.

For me clients are the most important thing.

Yes, yes.

More than famous people.

And wine?

Wine. This is our wine menu, so... we also have a paper menu, but I like people seeing and touching the

product, the wines. With the menu people only ask for the wines they know, and this way you come, you see

a bottle, for example, Cuatro Pasos, which is a Bierzo wine.

You see wine from Alicante.

You can see how much the wines cost.

And it's our menu. A more physical menu.

And very unique.

Exactly.

And why is Benidorm the place to live and visit?

Well, Benidorm is a city... it's a town, but it's a city

that has its fans

and the opposite. There are people who do not like Benidorm at all.

But I can only tell you good things about Benidorm because my grandparents were from here, my parents

are from here

so, for me Benidorm is wonderful.

There are people who may not like it, but Benidorm is a very open-minded city for all tourists.

"Spice of Life."

Tell me about your restaurant.

This isn't the typical Indian Pakistani restaurant. It's not only hot and spicy, it is all up to you, you want it mild,

medium , hot, we can make it.

Why the name "Spice of life"?

The spice of life is a spice to up your life…

That's spice of life.

When did you get to Benidorm?

Well, I've been in Spain for about 25 years and we started this restaurant in Benidorm in 1991.

Why did you choose Benidorm?

It's great, you know, it's a huge tourist place and people come from around the world,

and specially the British people they love the curries and even Spanish now.

We have now 50% Spanish customers, they come from all around Spain from Madrid, Valencia,

North sides, we have customers from all over Spain, they love curries.

And it's a family restaurant?

Exactly, it's like a family here.

There are over 50 fiestas taking place in Benidorm all year round.

Here you can see the famous Easter parade.

Bay radio is the biggest English radio station in Spain and we've been broadcasting for the last 12 years

and we've been growing bigger and bigger every year.

We now broadcast all the way from Denia all the way down to Cartagena all the Mediterranean coast.

We've got an amazing range of DJs and presenters and a great team behind us producing some of the best

radio around here really.

"It's Tuesday morning and we've been inundated with…"

We work with some of the biggest brands who advertise with Bay radio

and use us to you know get their message out there.

And you have been here for how many years?

I started here in 2005 the first day that Bay radio started.

It's a great place to live and a great place to work and the great place to come on holiday as well;

it's got everything.

As you know Bay radio caters for an older audience of 35, 40 plus,

and now our new station, Overseas FM, it's catering for a younger audience from the ages of about 18 coming up

to about 35, 40, so now we feel that we can cater for the whole spectrum of advertisers and businesses

around this area.

"….Watch now on UPnowCostaBlanca.com…"

Jamie tell me how living here compares to living in England?

Even though some people find it quite difficult to work out here, there is a lot of opportunity for expats

to come over here to work.

We hoped you enjoyed the film and to discover other towns and people of the Costa Blanca,

This like any story worth telling is all about a girl.

That girl.

The girl next door.

Mary Jane Watson.

Hey, you have...blue eyes.

Tell me you love me.

I love you.

I always have.

Happy birthday.

What for me?

You're gonna light up broadway.

Do you have a girlfriend?

I don't really know.

It's me! Peter!

Hi!

It's me again!

Hey!

Who are you?

You know who I am.

I do?

I think I have a superhero stalker.

I was in the neighborhood...

So, you just came by?

I was in the neighborhood.

I think I always knew...

I better run, Tiger.

...to tell you the truth...

...all this time.

I'm Spider-Man.

Then you know why we can't be together.

Now you know why I can't be with you.

You and I can never be.

Will I get to say thank you this time?

Go get 'em, Tiger?

Mary Jane...

I can't survive without you.

I know you think we can't be together...

...but can't you respect me enough to let me make my own decision?

That was our kiss.

Why would you do that?

There's only one man...

...who's always been there for me.

I love you so much, Peter.

So here I am standing in your doorway...

I'm here because I care about you.

...I've always been standing in your doorway.

I'm fine.

He asked me...

I don't need your help.

...what I thought about you.

Everybody needs help sometimes, Peter.

Let die the woman you love.

Even Spider-Man.

And what did you say?

I said...

The great thing about MJ...

...is...

...when you look in her eyes...

...and she looking back in yours...

...everything feels...

...not quite normal.

The truth is...

...you don't know what you feel.

It's as if you've...

...reached...

...the unreachable.

And you weren't ready for it.

Well, say something.

Thank you, Mary Jane Watson.

It's not working.

What?

I don't wanna see you anymore.

I always imagined you getting married on a hilltop.

And who's the groom?

We have problems. When people have problems they work it out, they talk to each other.

You once told me you loved me.

You know you were about 6 years old when MJ's family moved in next door.

And when she got out of the car, and you saw her for the first time...

You grabbed me and you said...

Is that an Angel?

I have to go.

I gotta go.

I'm sorry, I have to go.

But I will always be there for you.

I will always be there to take care of you.

You weren't there for me.

I promise you that.

Hi.

Hi.

Go get 'em, Tiger.

Upscale with Prentice Penny - Butcher Shop 101 | truTV - Duration: 1:46.

Growing up, those burgers were a'ight,

but this summer I'ma take it to a whole new level.

So today I came to the butcher to talk my man Eddy.

Yo, man, good to see you.

How are you, man?

Good, good, good.

This store is amazing, man.

What are all the things that a butcher actually does?

So, a butcher is someone who knows how to cut, cure,

and trim all kinds of meats.

Okay.

Tell me what's the difference between what I get here

and what I would get in the grocery store.

In a supermarket you kind of get lost

in the mass.

Right.

A butcher shop is a little bit more specialized.

We you walk into a store like this,

obviously it could be very daunting, you know.

If I was to just come off the street, what should I ask for?

Talk to one of the butchers.

Uh-huh.

He'll know all the regulars by name.

We know exactly what they want, how they want it cut.

So by coming in here more and more people

become more comfortable,

they can learn more about things they didn't know about before.

Right.

By having a relationship with you.

Exactly.

All right, I got a barbeque later,

but I wanted to do something a little special.

I need to bomb, like, a Prentice Blend.

I want official, my own line of meat.

Like how Puffy has vodka, I want to have my own meat.

[laughs]

You know what I'm saying?

Let's make some burgers.

All right, cool.

Oh...

This is cold as [bleep].

Oh! [laughing] Man!

I always see, like, corn-fed, grass-fed.

What's the difference in what that means?

Grass-fed means feeding it hay and it's considered grass-fed.

This one is pasture raised where it actually roams the mountains

and eats whatever's on the ground.

It's a lot leaner than corn-fed.

Got you, okay.

Now, we're in the meat locker.

Do you ever come in here and punch the meat, man?

Oh, hell yeah.

5-Minute Crafts To Do When You're BORED! 10 DIY Emoji Projects You NEED To Try! Life Hacks & DIYs! - Duration: 17:46.

hey guys welcome back to my channel

today I'm going to show you 10 5-minute craft

ideas inspired by emojis if you

like emojis click that like button and

comment down below your favorite emoji

if you're not already subscribed and

you'd like to see more fun DIY videos

please click that subscribe button

the first DIY will be an emoji shrinky dink

bracelet for this one choose your

favorite emoji and print it out I will

also be using one of these sheets of

shrinky dink paper or film I will leave

a link down below to where you can find these

I taped the shrinky dink film down to

the paper and with Sharpie markers I

begin to trace around and color in the emoji

after it was all colored in I cut it out

next I'm going to make two dots on the

side of the emoji and I want to make

sure that they're even as this is where

I will be punching the holes I used a hole

punch to punch the holes on the marks I just made

I placed it in the oven and

backed according to the package instructions

using jump rings I'm

going to place those in the holes that I made

I will be using hair ties to hook

to the jump rings

I used another jump ring to attach the two hair ties together

and now you have a new shrinky dink emoji bracelet

the second project will be an edible emoji poop

for this one I'm going to use these mini Tootsie Roll

bites tootsie rolls will also work for

this begin by squishing several tootsie

rolls together

roll into a snake shape and then swirl to look like the emoji poop

and here is what mine looks like at this

point to make the eyes and the mouth I'm

going to use a piece of white gum and

make sure when you're cutting those out

you're using a clean pair of scissors

press the eyes and the mouth into the

tootsie roll and they will stick

I used a candy decorating pen to fill in the eyes

and now you have an edible poop

emoji and if you want to learn how to

make just an edible mini emoji I will

leave a link down to my video for that

the third project will be emoji lip gloss

for this one I'm going to make

my own container so I'm just going to

start with a plastic bottle

I marked off at two and a half inches and cut that out

to seal the top I'm going to use a

piece of foam and I just hot glued

around the bottle and glued that to the piece of foam

cut the excess foam around the bottle

I used a piece of sandpaper

to stand on the edges and give them a

finished look

I marked off one inch from the top and I cut that out

you should have two pieces that look like this

I cut out a piece of foam that

fit into the bottle apply some glue to

one of the ends and glue the two together

place the piece of foam in the

bottom of the bottle and then glue

around it to secure it in place

I'm going to use some yellow acrylic

paint to paint the bottle

once the paint was dry I printed out an emoji I applied

some glue to the back and glue that to

the top of the bottle

now to make the lip gloss for this one I'm going to use

someone an lemonade kool-aid but I'm just

going to add a little bit to a bowl and

then a little bit of water and mix it

together

to the kool-aid I'm gonna add enough

Vaseline to fit into the container

once it was all mixed together I just added

it to the container

and that's how to make your own emoji container with lip gloss in it

the fourth idea will be mini emoji lip balm keychain

for this one I will be

using one of these bead containers or

lip balm containers I drew on an emoji

face and then you can either color it in

with sharpies or paint

to make the lip balm for this one in a

microwave-safe container I'm going to

add one tablespoon of bees wax along

with one tablespoon of coconut oil and

melt that in the microwave on ten second

increments until it is fully melted to

give this one the yellow tint I use some

eye shadow and mixed that together

pour into the lip balm container and let it

sit for just a few minutes

here is mine once the lip balm had hardened up

now to turn this into a keychain I'm going to use

the top of a paperclip along with a jump

ring and a keychain place some hot glue

on the lip balm container and glue the

paper clip to that add your jump ring and

your keychain and there you have your

very own emoji lip balm this was

inspired by my emoji slime keychain and

you guys highly requested that I make a

lip balm one the same way if you want to

watch the slime one if the link will be

down in the comments for that one

the 5th DIY will be an emoji glow in the dark pillow case

for this

one I'm going to use a white cotton

pillowcase first thing I did was I

traced around a cake pan

to fill in the circle I'm going to use some

glow-in-the-dark yellow puffy paint

I just started by going around the circle

with a puffy paint and then I use a

paintbrush to fill it in make sure that

you have something between the

pillowcases so the piece does it go

through on the other side

once the paint was dry I printed out the

sleeping emoji I stuck that inside the

pillowcase and then I used some gray and

blue glow-in-the-dark puffy paint to fill it in

now you have a glow-in-the-dark emoji pillowcase

the next DIY idea will be a mini emoji keychain

I will be using the

bottle cap from one of these bottles

start by carefully removing the bottle

cap from the bottle

paint the bottle cap with some yellow

acrylic paint I drew on an emoji face

and colored it in with sharpies

to make the hook for the keychain I'm

going to use the top of a paperclip

glue the paperclip to the bottle cap

once the glue was dry and the paperclip was secure

I used a jump ring and a keychain to add

to that and that's how you make these

mini bottle cap emoji keychains

the 7th DIY will be an emoji candy pillow

this is inspired by Joanna from macaroon and

our 5-minute crafts videos check out the

links in the comments

using a piece of yellow fabric I cut out a piece that was

approximately 24 by 20 inches

fold the two pieces over and hot glue them together

I drew an emoji face in the middle and

colored that in with sharpies

stuff the middle of the pillow with some

polyfill fiber leaving the ends unstuffed

I used yellow thread to tie the ends together

and now you have a new emoji candy pillow

the 8th DIY will be an emoji glow in the dark jewelry dish

for this one I'm just going to use one of these

little white dishes and I'm going to

take some glow-in-the-dark yellow paint

and paint the dish

I drew an emoji face onto the dish and then with the

glow-in-the-dark puffy paints I colored it in

and that's all there is to this

easy emoji glow-in-the-dark jewelry dish

the 9th idea will be emoji best friends phone cases

for this one I printed out

the heart eye emoji and cut it out before

you print it out make sure that the

width of the emoji will fit in the phone

fold the emoji in half and then cut it out

I placed a piece of tape on the back of

the emoji and then I place the emoji on

the phone and I used my clear phone case

to cover my phone

repeat the same process with your best friend's phone

and there you have your best friend emoji phone cases

the last DIY will be emoji best friend necklace

for this one I'm going to use

a plastic top from a bottle I started by

drawing a zigzag line down the center

I used an exacto knife to cut on the

zigzag line

I painted the cap with some yellow acrylic paint

I drew on an emoji face and colored it in with sharpies

I use this rainbow ribbon to make the

necklace use enough of the ribbon so

that when you tie it together it fits

over your head and around your neck

once you have both pieces of strings tied

together glue those two inside of the bottle cap

and there you have your emoji best friend necklace

I hope you guys

The Things In My Brain: OUR COUNTRY'S GOING DOWN THE TOILET - Duration: 2:14.

you know what's really triggering?

the word TRIGGERING

it feels like America's been flipped on it's head

and shaken like a small kitten that SHOULD'VE KNOWN BETTER!

big cars getting smaller, small cars getting bigger?

mom jeans are cool jeans?

veggies tasting like meat?

veggies tasting like meat?!?!

what's happening!

America used to stand for something

now we're just fat and ugly and morally detestable

and we can't even stand. period.

while i'm on a roll here, want to talk about something super depressing?

old babies.

yeah i guess they're cute. they smell like babies, they act like babies

but they look worn, like they've spent time on the inside

like they've seen things. like they made a shiv with a twig that they found in the yard

i've been seeing a lot of cars with stuffed animals and like beanie babies lined up

either in the front windshield or the back

and i wonder: are the drivers just like catching a quick cuddle

in bumper to bumper or at the stop light?

well... why

why do you have all of these stuffed animals in your car man?

tell me why!

wait has anyone other than oprah appeared on the cover of her magazine?

so... there's this new app called instaGRAMMA

but, it's really hard to break through.

like, they have this algorithm that prioritizes content that's only about like

werther's originals and slacks and trousers

Old LADY: do you have to be a grandma?

XENOPHOBIA AND LEARNING BRAZILIAN PORTUGUESE? - Duration: 6:37.

Hey guys welcome back to the channel

it has been 5 weeks since my last video

I'm sorry I didn't mean to be gone that long

I planned to take a 2 week break and then come back

with some fresh ideas

but that didn't happen and I didn't make a video

but i'm back today

today I am answering your questions!

so I hope you like Q&A's because that's what I'm doing

but before we start

how are you doing, I haven't seen you in ages!

leave a comment, I want to read them all!

let's get started with the questions!

be my boyfriend LOL you said we could ask anything

if you go and buy some

chocolate from the supermarket or

somewhere like that get a piece of

string tie it to that chocolate bar put

it outside my room and gradually pull

the string I'll smell the chocolate and

I'll come running to you

why is your hair so long?

how can I have the perfect British accent?

So what you need to say first is

air like the air you breathe in

next you need to say hair like the hair that's

too long on my head at the moment hair

and what the lions live in?

they live in the lairs so then you say lair

okay let's put that all together

hello how are you?

and that is how you have the perfect British Accent

tutorial by Curtis Tilbo

what is your favourite film

guardians of the galaxy

who is your favourite superhero

Star-Lord

if you could go back in time and change

some fact what would it be

I'll change the fact that I'm human and

I would become Star-Lord

from Guardians of the galaxy

Your favourite song ever and your favourite song now?

I want to see you reacting to more Brazilian music

and parodies of Winderson nunes

where's the Wi-Fi password

what's that let's check that out

I need my headphones and I think they're over here

here they are

lets do this

it is actually the perfect song because

it is so emotional but it's an emotional

moment when you don't have the Wi-Fi password

whenever I go to a friend's house I ask

what's the Wi-Fi password

I need to connect to the internet

I'm literally breaking down if I don't

have connection to the Internet

what's your opinion about NiceNienke's channel

I think it's very nice

see what I did there?

When will you come to Brazil?

is a question I get asked so much and I

do want to come to Brazil as soon as

possible it's a lot of money to do that

kind of stuff so I can't give you an

exact date I'm sorry but soon

if given a chance

will you work in a feature film

to deliver one of the most important acting roles

in that film?

I would not say no to an important acting role in a film

personally I don't act on YouTube

I'm just myself so I don't know how good I would be

if they gave me the choice

between directing a Hollywood film and

acting in one

I'll definitely choose directing because

I'm really interested in the stuff behind the camera

what do you do in your free time?

I sit here talking to you guys on youtube

I also do some badminton and running

are you planning on studying at Brazilian Portuguese

yeah I really do want to learn

some things in Portuguese I don't know

if I have enough time with everything

I'm doing to learn the whole language

I do want to learn a few phrases

for when I come to Brazil otherwise I'm just going to be

doing hand signs

because I don't have subtitles in real life!

hmm a serious question

your opinion about feminism

and about bad things like racism

I'd really like to know

thank you already and kisses

well I believe in equality which obviously

means I don't believe in racism and

sexism I think that's such backward thinking

I don't agree with some of the extreme feminists

and the social justice warriors

but the message that everyone should have equal opportunities

no matter what skin color or gender

I obviously support that

if your name only had three letters which name would

love you

cur

did you mean that?

I missed you

I missed you too

will there be daily vlogs again?

this is something I do want to bring back to the

channel I don't mean every single day I

do want to bring back some vlogs because

I really did enjoy going around with my

camera and just talking you guys it was natural

you could record a daily vlog of your trip

I did say I was going on a trip

in the UK

in a couple of weeks time

and yes I will be vlogging it

because I can't think of anything better than taking you with me!

how tall are you?

I am 6 foot

and I don't know what that is in CM

so I'll put it here

that's what I am

how long are you going to the YouTube for?

and are you going to do a meet up soon?

I don't plan to stop youtube

but if the site does die

it isn't looking good at the moment

but if it does die

Then I would just move to another website

and hopefully still talk to you guys

and the meet up

if I did one in the UK I don't think many would come

so I'm going to wait until I go to Brazil

and then I'll do a meet up when I'm in brazil

Be honest do you think people can be

xenophobic with me for being Latina

if I go to England in exchange

well I wouldn't be xenophobic with you

my family wouldn't be xenophobic with you

my friends wouldn't xenophobic with you

I've said xenophobic a lot of times

but I can't speak for everyone in the country

I know London is quite accepting

there are lots of people from different backgrounds

everyone's in London so

you'll be fine in London and in general

I think could be fine but obviously

there's those weird people that are in

every country that don't like different

nationalities which is a really backwards thinking

right so that's all

the time I've got left for today I hope

you did enjoy this video if you did it

make sure to give it a thumbs up

subscribe if you haven't already and I

will see you next week it will be next week

I'm promising you

I shouldn't promise you

But i'm going to try

and put something up next week anyway

peter & mj | your soul - Duration: 3:46.

What's new in Firebase 2017 - Duration: 3:49.

Here at Firebase, we're on a never-ending quest to make it easier for you to build successful

apps.

And since we've expanded Firebase to a fully-featured app development platform,

we've been working hard to build the features and enhancements you've been asking for.

For instance, we recently added StreamView,

which lets you view samples of your analytics data in realtime,

so you can see how users all around the world are interacting with your app at that very

moment.

We also added support for DebugView,

which lets you view every analytics event recorded and sent by a test device, to make

sure you've implemented your analytics exactly the way you'd like.

(Ooh -- looks like you forgot a semicolon there.)

We launched Cloud Functions for Firebase,

which gives you the ability to run server-side logic without ever needing your own servers.

You can use Cloud Functions to do everything from sending out notifications to users in

a chat app,

to performing server-side image processing,

to running sensitive business logic that you just don't trust your client with.

We've also launched support for a number of Firebase products on both Unity and C++,

for all you cross-platform game developers out there.

And this year at I/O, we announced a whole new set of features to make it even easier

for you to build successful apps.

We're adding phone number authentication to Firebase Auth,

so you can sign in your users with a simple text message.

Because it turns out nobody is really all that excited about the idea of creating yet

another password.

Sorry.

That's not enough characters.

And you need at least one number

Oh, and a symbol too.

Oh, and you can't have two repeated char--Wait, where are you going?

We've also added Firebase Performance Monitoring,

because we know your fast-and-responsive app might not be so fast-and-responsive when your

users aren't on the same awesome wifi connection as your office.

Now you can find out when your apps are running slowly,

or just taking too darn long to get you the data that you need to create a smooth experience,

based on performance data from actual users interacting with your app in the real world.

And while Firebase Hosting has always been a great place for you to serve fast and secure

static content for your web app,

we've now added support for you to perform server side processing through Cloud Functions.

This means you can now serve dynamic content in your Firebase Hosting website,

all without needing to setup or manage your own servers.

If you're using Firebase Cloud Messaging to deliver cross-platform notifications, Firebase

now supports platform-overrides, allowing you to better customize your outgoing messages

to take advantage of the specific features of each individual platform, whether it's

the web, Android, or iOS.

In Google Analytics for Firebase -- the product formerly known as Firebase Analytics

-- we've added reporting for custom event parameters.

So you can now view summaries of up to 50 parameters that you're passing along to Analytics,

whether that's the final score in your game, or how long it took your user to complete

the tutorial,

right there in the Firebase console.

If that isn't enough for you, you can always export your raw analytics data to BigQuery

Google's super-powerful data warehouse in the cloud, to perform more sophisticated analysis.

And we're happy to announce that we've added a new free tier that lets you store up to

50 gigabytes of analytics data.

Combine that with our recently added 1 terabyte of free query data, and there's a lot you

can do in BigQuery for not a lot of money.

We've also enhanced our analytics data with event data from AdMob, Google's in-app advertising

solution.

Now you can automatically view reports for ad impressions, exposure time, and clicks,

for all ads served through AdMob.

This also gives you a more complete view of your user's lifetime value and ARPU,

because these reports are based not just on the in-app purchases your users make, but

also on how much AdMob advertising revenue they've earned for you,

so you get a much better understanding of where you are -- and aren't -- making money

in your app.

We've added Firebase Test Lab support for games.

Because it turns out that automated testing is something game developers want just as

much as the rest of us.

Finally, we started open-sourcing many of our SDKs, to help empower all of you in the

developer community, to build out Firebase the way you want.

And then we decided that's basically everything you need to develop the perfect app, and we've

stopped working on anything new.

No.

Just kidding.

We're constantly working on all sorts of new features for you,

and we'll have a lot more news to announce over the next several months, so make sure

you subscribe to the Firebase channel -- and maybe check out our blog post from time to

time -- to see what's new.

But until then, it's never been a better time to start developing your app with Firebase.

Why not give it a try today?

You can check out or fancy new website to see what Firebase can do for you, and then

start using Firebase in your own app!

We can't wait to see what you build.

Brad Anderson's Lunch Break / s5 e1 / Mary Jo Foley - Duration: 7:34.

(car starts)

(engine revs)

- It's lunchtime and this is Brad Anderson's lunch break.

(upbeat music)

I get invited to attend tech events

all the time in Las Vegas

and whenever I can I like

to make the quick trip from Redmond

and meet with other tech leaders

and learn about what they're doing.

(upbeat music)

This week I'm talking with journalist Mary Joe Foley,

a prolific blogger, author, podcaster,

and all around expert on everything Microsoft.

(soft music)

- Come on in Mary Joe.

- Hello.

Welcome to this ginormous car.

- Thank you.

- It's so good to see you.

- You too. How are you?

- Doing really well, doing really well.

So Mary Joe a hundred thousand plus reporters in the world

but it'd be impossible to find someone

who has been following and has more information,

more details, and history about Microsoft than you.

What is it about Microsoft that you find so fascinating?

- You know it's really interesting

because anytime I feel like I'm about to get bored

with Microsoft, Microsoft does something crazy

and I'm like oh it's not boring

like here's something new to cover.

- So you started covering Microsoft in what 1980?

- '84.

- '84?

- Yeah.

- So back then like was it pretty easy

to get your arms around the company?

- No, it was very difficult.

And it just feels like it gets incrementally more difficult.

- Expand, expand, and expand.

- It does, it does

but I never have felt from the beginning until now

that I actually do have my arms around the company.

- So looking back over that history

that's what 33 years?

- Yup.

- What do you think was like the low point for Microsoft

and then what do you think has caused the resurgence

that you see right now?

- Well the low point, there were few low points.

There are actually a couple points so low

that I almost thought about quitting the bean.

- Wow.

- I just kind of felt like you know I really am not-

- That's like game over.

- One of the times I remember

where I really was kind of worried about

what Microsoft was doing was

when you guys almost bought Yahoo around 2006, 2007.

What I feel like has changed especially

in the last couple of years is Microsoft's

kind of gone back to focusing on what it's good at,

I feel like.

I feel like you guys have always been a really good company

when it comes to software and services

and especially around the enterprise

and I feel like you kind of veered off that point

for a while and now you're veering back.

- We're going to play a little game called this or that.

- Okay.

- So I'm going to give you two topics

and then I'm going to walk you through a couple of phrases.

You're going to tell me is it this or that?

Which of the two topics does it relate to?

- Okay.

- So the topics are going to be tech reporter

or a silver back gorilla.

All right first, very hairy and fiercely territorial.

And I'm not talking about-

- Tech reporter.

- Ah, Paul Thurrott right?

- I was thinking Paul.

- I knew it. Okay, all right.

Okay typically carries at least two smart phones.

- Oh tech reporter for sure.

- You got it, yup. All right but that was an easy one.

- Some Microsoft executives as well.

- That's true.

In their prime they're about five foot nine and 390 pounds.

(both laugh)

- Developer or tech reporter?

I'm going to go with-

- And you can say both.

- I'll go with gorilla.

- All right some of these might be a little mean.

Although highly vocal,

they struggle to communicate with humans.

- Tech reporter.

For sure.

I'm not going to name names who came to mind

when you said that.

- Someone actually came to mind.

- Oh yes, a few people actually.

You know people don't ask me

about digital transformation as a topic right?

I think that's kind of-

it's jargoney, it's kind of a buzz word

but people do get very concerned, again,

about how quickly should I be moving to the cloud

and how do I know when I should think

about moving something to the cloud or not?

Those questions come up a lot

so I get a ton of roadmap questions

from my readers, and from customers

about when is Microsoft going

to support this on this platform

or when am I going to be able to do feature x on Azure

that I can already do on Prime?

- So getting specific into my kind of part of the world,

you know, enterprise, mobility, and security

what do you hear from people there?

Are questions of what do they like about what we're doing?

- I think the cross platform thing, they love

and like we talked about originally

a lot of people still don't believe when you say to them

you know you can do that level

of kind of managing your device down

to even the actual content on the device because of EMS.

They don't ever seem to actually believe it.

They're like no probably not as good as like

what you can do on Windows though right?

And I'm like well you should look.

They really keep beefing up the technology for Android

and Microsoft platform so that it's not just

it's best only on Windows.

It's pretty consistent across the platform.

- I got that question so often in the briefing center

six or seven months ago

I wrote a blog that said

let me tell you about the things

that we actually did first on iOS and on Android.

- Right and when you wrote that post by the way

I got a lot of hate mail because I covered it

and people said I don't want to hear about

what they're doing better on iOS and Android.

I want to hear what they're doing better on Windows.

- Kind of a fine line right?

- Yeah.

- Yeah, yeah it's really interesting

because we have to make sure we're doing all of them

but it is a change

and I'll tell you using some of the telemetry

in terms of the devices that we manage through EMS

55 percent are iOS, 35 percent are Android,

and 10 percent are Willis.

- Oh wow, really?

- And those are the mobile devices right?

Then you got config manager

which still continues to be the way

that organizations manage PCs

and in fact what we're seeing in Windows 10

is about a million devices a week coming in

and over 99 percent of them are being managed

by config manager.

- Yeah. That makes sense though.

That seems like it fits with kind of

what you guys have thought would be the case.

- Okay you've got like an incredible Twitter following

but you still log behind the top dogs.

Did you hear who the number one person on Twitter is?

- For tech people you mean?

- No all up.

- All up.

- It's Katy Perry okay? 94 million

but I checked and you actually have four followers

in common with Katy Perry.

- Really?

- So I'm going to give you four statements

about these four followers

and you're going to tell me which are true.

- Okay.

- All right.

Number one, three of them are spambots.

- True.

- Number two, four accounts have a total of 58 tweets.

- True.

- One is a company that creates alcohol strips.

- Oh, I understand why that might be true.

- And option four all of the above.

- All of the above, yup.

- It actually is.

Next time on Brad Anderson's lunch break.

Did you dress up like a bridesmaid

for Steve Ballmer's wedding and crash the wedding?

- No, no, not true.

- I totally made that one up.

- Not true.

- What's the number one question you're getting right now

about Microsoft?

- I get a lot of questions about how committed is Microsoft

to customers who aren't ready to go a hundred percent cloud?

(upbeat music)

White House defends Trump on classified intel report - Duration: 6:49.

White House defends Trump on classified intel report

BY KATIE BO WILLIAMS AND JORDAN FABIAN

The White House on Monday evening pushed back sharply on reports that President Trump revealed

highly classified information to Russian officials during a meeting last week.

Speaking to the press outside the White House Monday evening, national security adviser

H.R. McMaster said: "The story that came out tonight, as reported, is false."

"The president and the foreign minister reviewed a range of common threats to our two countries,

including threats to civil aviation.

At no time at no time were intelligence sources or methods discussed.

And the president did not disclose any military operations that were not already publicly

known.

Two other senior officials who were present, including the secretary of State, remember

the meeting the same way and have said so."

"Their on-the-record accounts should outweigh those of anonymous sources.

I was in the room it didnt happen, he said.

In statements, two other senior Trump officials sought to characterize the disclosures as

benign and pertaining only to common threats.

The nature of specific threats were discussed, but they did not discuss sources, methods

or military operations, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said in a statement.

Deputy national security adviser Dina Powell, who also attended the meeting, called The

Washington Post report false in a statement of her own.

According to the Post, Trump provided code-word information to Russian Foreign Minister

Sergey Lavrov and Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak, using a government term that refers

to one of the highest levels of classification.

The intelligence had been provided by a U.S. partner through an intelligence-sharing arrangement.

But the White House denial that Trump did not explicitly discuss the sources and

methods behind the intelligence did not directly address or nullify the Posts reporting.

According to the Post, the information Trump revealed included details that Russia could

use to reverse-engineer the sources or methods used to gather the intelligence, officials

told the paper.

Among those details was the name of the city in ISIS territory where the U.S. partner detected

the threat, seen as a particularly sensitive disclosure that could allow Russia to identify

the intelligence capability involved.

That capability is highly valuable.

It could be used to provide intelligence on Russias involvement in Syria, officials

said, and the Kremlin would have an intense interest in identifying and disrupting it.

According to the Post, White House officials immediately realized the seriousness of the

presidents disclosures and sought to contain the damage, placing calls to the CIA and the

National Security Agency.

Lawmakers on Capitol Hill, including members of the Senate Intelligence Committee, were

caught by surprise by the shocking revelation.

But the news quickly drew criticism even from Republicans.

The senior Republican on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee said the White House was

in a downward spiral.

To compromise a source is something you just don't do, Sen. Bob Corker (R-Tenn.)

told reporters.

But others in the GOP shrugged off the report, defending the president's discretion to declassify

government secrets.

He has the ability to declassify anything at any time without any process.

So its no longer classified the minute he utters it," said Sen. James Risch (R-Idaho),

a member of the Senate Intelligence Committee, according to Talking Points Memo.

Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), a longtime Russia hawk, also gave some cover to the president,

noting that while such a disclosure would be disturbing, the president does

have the right to do that."

The president has the broad authority to declassify information, making it unlikely that Trump's

disclosures broke any laws.

Other Republicans on Capitol Hill declined to comment, many of them arguing that they

hadn't seen the report.

Democrats widely met the news with shock and outrage.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said Congress must be given a full briefing

on the extent of the damage President Trump has done.

Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) echoed Pelosi, saying, Revealing classified

information at this level is extremely dangerous and puts at risk the lives of Americans and

those who gather intelligence for our country.

The President owes the intelligence community, the American people, and Congress a full explanation.

"This bombshell report is astonishing & appalling betraying our allies, endangering safety

of sources, & sabotaging our war against ISIS," tweeted Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.).

Appearing on CNN, Blumenthal added that Republicans and Democrat should come together in favor

of an independent investigation so that we can follow the facts wherever they lead.

Make no mistake, this kind of serious and grave threat requires a national response,

putting country above politics.

The Post report appears to be particularly damaging, given Trumps longstanding criticism

of 2016 Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clintons carelessness with classified information.

Clinton used a private email server while secretary of State, through which classified

information was sent.

Further inflaming controversy, the meeting with Lavrov and Kislyak occurred the day after

Trump fired former FBI Director James Comey.

The timing of the dismissal and Trumps own explanations led to allegations that

he was attempting to stifle the bureaus investigation into his campaigns ties to

Russia.

The report also comes as Trump has continued to struggle to earn the trust of his own intelligence

community, reportedly discomfited by his longstanding refusal to accept the assessment of career

analysts that Russia tried to interfere in the election.

If true, this is a slap in the face to the intel community, Sen. Mark Warner (D-Va.)

said Monday.

Risking sources & methods is inexcusable, particularly with the Russians.

Before & after Manchester Volume 1 - photos by Aidan O'Rourke - Duration: 3:49.

The Hacienda, Manchester's most famous night club

was housed in this building on Whitworth Street West.

The Hacienda opened in 1982 and closed in 1997. I took this photo in 1998 whilst passing by.

In 2001 the building was demolished and replaced by an apartment building

named The Hacienda and designed by Roger Stephenson Architects.

Jutland Street on a rainy morning in November 1996

looks like a scene from the 1950s.

Two women with umbrellas

walk to the top of this steep street.

In the 2000s the walls were demolished and new apartment were built,

but the setts (cobble stones) remain.

The Rochdale Canal next to Whitworth St West

looks much as it did 100 years previously.

In 2000 it was transformed into Deansgate Locks

a place of bars and night clubs

with walkways and bridges over the water.

The view towards the town hall from Chorlton St car park

seems little changed since the 19th century.

In the 21st century new taller buildings appeared

partially blocking the view of the town hall.

The Whitworth Art Gallery on Oxford Road

was renovated around 2014 with a new extension.

Here we see the beautiful red brick facade

and the new pedestrianised space with artworks.

The renovation has won awards, deservedly so.

Piccadilly Station was renovated and rebuilt around 2001 (BDP Architects)

This is Piccadilly Station at the junction of London Rd and Fairfield Street.

This part of the station was transformed with a new entrance and taxi rank.

The renovated station was ready in time for the 2002 Commonwealth Games.

Manchester is famous for Boddingtons Beer.

It was brewed at Strangeways Brewery, near the famous prison of the same name.

In 2007 the brewery was demolished.

The chimney survived for a while but it too disappeared. The site became a car park.

The medieval pubs known as the Shambles

were incorporated into the Arndale shopping centre in the 60s.

Following the IRA bomb of 1996

the pubs were dismantled and reconstructed

in a new location next to the Corn Exchange.

The home of the novelist Elizabeth Gaskell (1810-1865)

on Plymouth Grove near Manchester University

was completely renovated, and reopened in 2014

as a visitor attraction and events venue.

In 1998, Piccadilly Basin was abandoned and run down.

A renovation project partly funded by the EU transformed the area.

The pattern of demolition, renovation and construction can be seen all over Manchester.

But as we will see, change doesn't always bring improvement.

Thank you for watching. Please comment on Twitter @AidanEyewitness

XENOPHOBIA AND LEARNING BRAZILIAN PORTUGUESE? - Duration: 6:37.

Hey guys welcome back to the channel

it has been 5 weeks since my last video

I'm sorry I didn't mean to be gone that long

I planned to take a 2 week break and then come back

with some fresh ideas

but that didn't happen and I didn't make a video

but i'm back today

today I am answering your questions!

so I hope you like Q&A's because that's what I'm doing

but before we start

how are you doing, I haven't seen you in ages!

leave a comment, I want to read them all!

let's get started with the questions!

be my boyfriend LOL you said we could ask anything

if you go and buy some

chocolate from the supermarket or

somewhere like that get a piece of

string tie it to that chocolate bar put

it outside my room and gradually pull

the string I'll smell the chocolate and

I'll come running to you

why is your hair so long?

how can I have the perfect British accent?

So what you need to say first is

air like the air you breathe in

next you need to say hair like the hair that's

too long on my head at the moment hair

and what the lions live in?

they live in the lairs so then you say lair

okay let's put that all together

hello how are you?

and that is how you have the perfect British Accent

tutorial by Curtis Tilbo

what is your favourite film

guardians of the galaxy

who is your favourite superhero

Star-Lord

if you could go back in time and change

some fact what would it be

I'll change the fact that I'm human and

I would become Star-Lord

from Guardians of the galaxy

Your favourite song ever and your favourite song now?

I want to see you reacting to more Brazilian music

and parodies of Winderson nunes

where's the Wi-Fi password

what's that let's check that out

I need my headphones and I think they're over here

here they are

lets do this

it is actually the perfect song because

it is so emotional but it's an emotional

moment when you don't have the Wi-Fi password

whenever I go to a friend's house I ask

what's the Wi-Fi password

I need to connect to the internet

I'm literally breaking down if I don't

have connection to the Internet

what's your opinion about NiceNienke's channel

I think it's very nice

see what I did there?

When will you come to Brazil?

is a question I get asked so much and I

do want to come to Brazil as soon as

possible it's a lot of money to do that

kind of stuff so I can't give you an

exact date I'm sorry but soon

if given a chance

will you work in a feature film

to deliver one of the most important acting roles

in that film?

I would not say no to an important acting role in a film

personally I don't act on YouTube

I'm just myself so I don't know how good I would be

if they gave me the choice

between directing a Hollywood film and

acting in one

I'll definitely choose directing because

I'm really interested in the stuff behind the camera

what do you do in your free time?

I sit here talking to you guys on youtube

I also do some badminton and running

are you planning on studying at Brazilian Portuguese

yeah I really do want to learn

some things in Portuguese I don't know

if I have enough time with everything

I'm doing to learn the whole language

I do want to learn a few phrases

for when I come to Brazil otherwise I'm just going to be

doing hand signs

because I don't have subtitles in real life!

hmm a serious question

your opinion about feminism

and about bad things like racism

I'd really like to know

thank you already and kisses

well I believe in equality which obviously

means I don't believe in racism and

sexism I think that's such backward thinking

I don't agree with some of the extreme feminists

and the social justice warriors

but the message that everyone should have equal opportunities

no matter what skin color or gender

I obviously support that

if your name only had three letters which name would

love you

cur

did you mean that?

I missed you

I missed you too

will there be daily vlogs again?

this is something I do want to bring back to the

channel I don't mean every single day I

do want to bring back some vlogs because

I really did enjoy going around with my

camera and just talking you guys it was natural

you could record a daily vlog of your trip

I did say I was going on a trip

in the UK

in a couple of weeks time

and yes I will be vlogging it

because I can't think of anything better than taking you with me!

how tall are you?

I am 6 foot

and I don't know what that is in CM

so I'll put it here

that's what I am

how long are you going to the YouTube for?

and are you going to do a meet up soon?

I don't plan to stop youtube

but if the site does die

it isn't looking good at the moment

but if it does die

Then I would just move to another website

and hopefully still talk to you guys

and the meet up

if I did one in the UK I don't think many would come

so I'm going to wait until I go to Brazil

and then I'll do a meet up when I'm in brazil

Be honest do you think people can be

xenophobic with me for being Latina

if I go to England in exchange

well I wouldn't be xenophobic with you

my family wouldn't be xenophobic with you

my friends wouldn't xenophobic with you

I've said xenophobic a lot of times

but I can't speak for everyone in the country

I know London is quite accepting

there are lots of people from different backgrounds

everyone's in London so

you'll be fine in London and in general

I think could be fine but obviously

there's those weird people that are in

every country that don't like different

nationalities which is a really backwards thinking

right so that's all

the time I've got left for today I hope

you did enjoy this video if you did it

make sure to give it a thumbs up

subscribe if you haven't already and I

will see you next week it will be next week

I'm promising you

I shouldn't promise you

But i'm going to try

and put something up next week anyway

Básico- Aula 21 CURSO GRATUITO COM PDF PARA INSCRITOS - Duration: 4:39.

This video is going to be very quick

This is the basic course, class 21

Today I'm going to teache you "DATES"

So, for example "My birthday is in November"

My mother's birthday is in December

My brother's birthday is in January

My sister's birthday is in May

So, use the preposition "IN" before months

Now I'm going to say the months and then you repeat, ok?

JANUARY

FEBRUARY

MARCH

APRIL

MAY

JUNE

JULY

AUGUST

SEPTEMBER

OCTOBER

NOVEMBER

DECEMBER

My birthday is in November

Christmas is in December

So before months, use the preposition "IN"

But if you want to be more specific

and say the date

you're going to have to use the preposition "ON"

Example> My birthday is ON November 18th (eighteenth)

My birthday is on November 18th

My mother's birthday is on December 6th (sixth)

My brother's birthday is on February 2nd (second)

But teacher, did you say "November eighteenTH"?

yes, that's what I sad. That's my birthday...

My birthday is on November 18th (eighteenth)

You are not saying EIGHTEEN. You are saying EIGHTEENTH

Yes, I'm saying EIGHTEETH because for dates we use the ordinal numbers

so you don't say "November one"...

You say "November FIRST"

so in order to say dates,

you have to know the ordinal numbers

at least up to 31st (thirty-first)

I'm going to say the ordinal numbers...You listen...

and repeat

FIRST= 1ST

SECOND= 2ND

THIRD= 3RD

FOURTH= 4TH

FIFTH= 5TH

SIXTH= 6TH

YEAH, YOU'RE GOING TO HAVE TO PRACTICE THE PRONUNCIATION OF THESE NUMBERS A LOT

Again, my birthday is on November 18th

I can say "November 18th"

or "the 18th of November"

Both ways are correct

My mother's birthday is on December 6th

Or I can say:

My mother's birthday is on the 6th of December
