#15 -Martial arts and combat sports - Duration: 3:49.

uIs there a difference between martial arts and combat sports ?

There is one.

But to answer i need to make

A small detour

and oppose the terms 'martial' and 'arts'.

In Japanese it is called 'Budo'. So, without snobbery,

I think it necessary to take these two terms: Budo.

'Do': the path, the way.

In the thought that goes from low to high; from body to spirit -

And 'Bu' -that's important - which figures

in its pictograms a hand blocking a halberd.

It could be shown that 'Bu',

contrary to what is commonly thought, is in fact the act of blocking weapons.

So the Budo -which are translated by 'martial arts'-

should rather be understood as what stops the war,

stops the conflict,

stops the battle.

And it is quite important to indicate that.

Now about combat sports, they themselves

give their own definition to their practice.

It's not criticism from Budokas

against combat sports:

what they practice *is* called 'combat sports'.

Thus they are sports with everything that is implied in sports.

Some positive and also some more limited.

Sport comes from the old english 'disport',

which means to relax.

So already in the terms there is the notion of relaxation.

There is maybe also in Budo

the intention to relax,

but that is not the goal, is it?

There we have a divergence even if

it could be considered that, taking Judo as an example,

it could be considered as a combat sport by some

and as a Budo by others.

So there it is. Without necessarily opposing

these three manners of saying:

'Budo', 'martial arts', 'combat sports'.

It is necessary to know what we are talking about.

To conclude this short answer,

the individual will chose to practice

a 'sport',

a 'martial art' -which references the god of war Mars-

or a 'budo'.

But there is space for everyone although it is necessary to know what each is about

and knowing this everyone

can chose their field of practice

field of experience,

what they want to achieve,

they have to set up a project in the budos;

this project necessarily has a higher significance

because the art of peace

is its last implement.

So it calls to and it deserves

a way to consider the techniques, to consider the training, to consider the years of practice

to follow a certain path.

But that is a pleonasm since 'do' is the Path.

QUISIERA ME AYUDARAS A VIVR - KOE NO KATACHI | REVIEW - Duration: 6:30.

first to all I wana let clear that this is NOT a comparison between the Manga and the Anime

this are just my thoughts of the movie I feel like they're 2 different thing and they should be treated as such

Have you thought what it is not to be able to speak?

Not being able to express what you feel with a word

Not being able to say how much you love or need someone?

You feel in a world completely different from ours

Koe no Katachi gives us a taste of what it is to live in this world

And does it in a perfect way

the movie koe no katachi (a silent voice in english)

Based on the manga of the same name was released in Mexican cinemas in May of this year

And me and some friends had the opportunity to participate in the premiere of this incredible adaptation

When we left the cinema nobody could talk about we just watch

the bigges nostalgia hit us so hard

From start to finish the movie took us on a roller coaster of feelings

From contempt to the protagonists to feeling identified with them

the Meaning of friendship, bullying, suicide, love, family. The meaning of the words "sorry" and "thank you"

How delicate it can be to break that invisible line that unites us

This is a small, intimate, nostalgic story.

That takes root inside you, and moves some of the most sensitive fibers of you and hit you when you least expect it with a laugh

or some plot twist that you don't even expect

this is not a love story

this is a story of redemption and self-acceptance

The characters struggle to reach each other by fighting against this emotional distance between them

Sometimes you want to cross the screen and hug them, sometimes you want to punch them in the face

reating a soft subtle but sad and Touching atmosphere

I was surprised to see older people in the room trying to understand what they saw

And how what for them were just cartoons could go through such complicated things

The story flows slowly with a soundtrack that performs all the good and bad moments giving more life to each scene

Especially the piano music that is strongly noticeable in the film

The animation can not be left behind

even when the characters look simple all of them are really unique and they really pops out of the backgrounds

and talking about it The beautiful backgrounds transitions and lighting

Everything dances in perfect harmony in what I believe is my favorite movie of the 2017

Surpassing some of the great American productions

the emotional arc not only falls on the main characters

falls in all the characters that are part of this story

The secondary characters are colorful but sometimes stereotyped

but even though they fit really well in the context

in conclusion

if you are in touch with your feelings koe no katachi Will make you cry more than once

ecause it brings these emotions to a point where you wait for them to explode

the other hand there are just a few downs in the movie especially in the first act

I have a feeling it's a little too slow

But being a story that goes beyond from just the characters

They are trying to make you identify with the characters in a deep level

Emotional or physical with them

Going through some circumstances that we have also lived

or even

it's really easy to relate on this characters

one of the very little flaws in the movie was of course that we lost some of the scenes from the manga that I think would be add some heavy context to the movie

but I understand because it's a manga of 40 episodes [62* episodes]

And to be able to summarize in a film of just 2 hours they did it in a very good way

to me koe no katachi is one of those movies that will leave a mark in the anime world

I love it and I enjoyed so much and I want to do it again

and I hope you can do it too please do it in the cinemas

well if this review is up and the movie it's still on cinemas please do it there

support this kind of movies because of that support is how we can get more

of this kind of projects

Avoid piracy, the only thing that causes is not being able to have more productions like this

of course thanks to "konnichiwa festival" to make this project possible in the Mexican cinemas

which I will leave the social networks in the screen [and description]

Be grateful for this kind of effort to bring more and more this movies like

koe no katachi and I think the next project is the movie of fairy tail

to all thise fans of shonen and action [and some fan services ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)]

so thank you very much guys for all your work to bring all those titles to the cinemas here in Mexico and latin america

and well guys I will leave this review up to here it's a bit different of what I'm use to do

but I think movie is worth it and also we need more support and

atention to this projects

thanks for everything guys and see ya next time!

BREAKING: Pence Takes On Hillary With Stunning Initiative - Duration: 1:25.

Earlier this week, failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton launched "Onward Together,"

a social welfare nonprofit — which happens to be the culprit for a rise in dark money

in politics because of their ability to protect donor anonymity.

However, Vice President Mike Pence has decided to counter Clinton's initiative with one

of his own.

On Wednesday, Pence officially registered his own political action committee in order

to boost the GOP in the forthcoming midterm election — fighting back against the Democrats

and the mainstream media.

Breitbart reports:

The Great America Committee is designed to raise Pence's visibility and to channel

funds to Republicans running for Congress in 2018.

"He wants to support the house and Senate members who are helping to pass the president's

agenda," the PAC's director, Nick Ayers, said.

While it's unusual for sitting vice presidents to establish their own campaign war chests

— neither Joseph Biden nor Dick Cheney set up their own fundraising committees — nothing

is out of the question now, as Hillary Clinton is preparing a massive onslaught with her

Onward Together nonprofit.

In politics, you fight fire with fire.

what do you think about this?

WHY AM I SINGLE? - Duration: 4:57.

Hi guys!

I'm going to give you an advice today. Yaaaay:)

Hello world and welcome to the right side:)

It's easier to do when you have toys

and don't have friends

Do you remember girls how in childhood we dreamed about the prince from a fairy tale?

Now the time has past we're sitting drinking wine

and thinking where the hell is this Prince?

We do talk a lot about relationships

but what if you don't have any relationships?

In other words today we're gonna speak about

Why are you single?

I know why I am:(

I asked about your childhood on purpose

cause when you were a small girl you knew for sure

what kind of prince you want to see next to you?

Do you know it now?

I'm asking this cause it's really important

First of all it helps the right person to get into your life

Second of all it prevents you from being with the wrong person

and by that I mean dating someone just to be with someone

It also counts for me as you are alone

cause this person basically doesn't bring you anything

Except for the feeling that there is someone sitting and lying next to you in this bed or on this couch

I don't even know what is worse between these two options?

can you answer me some questions?

Why do you need a boyfriend?

Is it because all of your friends date someone?

Is it because you want to feel this space on your bed and couch?

What are your goals for now?

Are you concentrated on your carrier?

Or do you have something else in your head except for the work?

If you need someone just to fill the space in your apartment

then you can date someone. That's not a big deal

You can date literally anyone

But if your mind is busy with business plan

then it's not bad.

It's just a) means that you've other priority for now

and that's okay cause this is your own life

and b)it means that you've not met the right person

who will be honored to get into your calendar

I'm afraid of heights, but does that stop me from flying in the airplanes

and going to the top of skyscrapers? No.

Cause there is a lot of interesting in other countries and I can see such an amzing view from the skyscraper

What are you afraid of? Did you experience some bad relationships?

I guess we all did. Maybe not all but most part of us did experience

This cat wants to be in the movie

Have you get rid of this baggage? No?

Then it's not helping you to move on

and it won't help you to meet someone esle

You need to understand one thing. All people are different

You don't like when someone compares you to other people

cause that's offensive

Another person that can get into your life will be also different

There won't be exact the same person and exact the same relationships next to you

So in order to move on and meet someone

you need to get rid of your past failures, memories,

and continue to live

cause that's the life

I didn't say anything new cause to be honest I've not tried to made up something new for you

In most part of the cases you're the reason for your loneliness

cause you're not ready now

you've not got any space or time in your life for new person

Or you just don't know whom exactly you want to see next to you

Think about and agree or disagree with me I'm okay with both of these options

That was it for today! Yaaay!

You're a star!

Thank you guys for sharing with me this awesome awesome day

I hope that you like this video and I hope that it gives you something to think about

and it will help you to not be lonely anymore

If it does, if you listen to some of these advises,

if you don't weant to be lonely anymore

if you're generous person and if you like me

count how many ifs I can make for you to give this video a big thumbs up!

Push that subscribe button cause we do talk a lot about the realtionships

and other stuff cause well we're girls:)

Why not?

How Stereotypes Help To Be Stronger - Duration: 3:05.

(fighting)

- [Man] All right, cut, cut.

All right, so, that was great and all,

but I need you to do a little more Native stuff,

a little bit more authentic sounds.

- Native stuff? What do you mean?

- [Man] Yeah, yeah, you know,

like watah's and the kaya's and the--

- Watah's?

- [Man] You know, the watah's.

Like, watah! You know, like Bruce Lee.

You've seen Bruce Lee movies,

I know you grew up on them.

Come on.

And you know what, even better,

I say you just take your shirt off.

- You want me to take my shirt off?

- [Man] Just walk in with your shirt off.

- Right now, it's super cold out.

It makes no sense.

- [Man] But you're an accent guy,

you're a Kung Fu dude.

You just walk in...

- All right.

- [Man] And remember, Asian sounds.

- Asian sounds?

Like, waaaah!

- [Man] Perfect!

See, I knew you knew it.

- I'm out. I'm not doing this.

Hey, guys.

So, I wanted to share with you where it all started with me.

And it all began when I was younger,

when I was watching television,

and all I would see are these bullshit stereotypes

of Asian-American males portrayed in media,

T.V., entertainment magazines.

And for a while,

that's all I thought my life would end up.

Small,

confined to these bullshit stereotypes you always see.

And then I turned to fitness.

Fitness helped me to change and to grow,

and to gain confidence,

to break these stereotypes that I once thought

that I had to live in.

Changing my body, changing my mind,

it helped me change the way I saw myself,

and the way I viewed the world.

I am certain it can do the same for you.

I'm not your martial artist.

I'm not you fuckin' math teacher or scientist.

I'm not you accent-speaking,

non-sexual dude who can't get the girl in the movie.

I'm Kevin Kreider, and I'm more than just muscle.

And I'm here to help you break through.

CSUN Outstanding Grads 2017: Juan Pilar - Duration: 2:00.

JUAN PILAR: Math is my favorite subject because everything fits.

I think teaching, for me, is very fulfilling.

You're helping the next generation pushing forward.

♫ Music playing ♫

I ended up at CSUN after I decided to come back to school.

I was working as a manager for CVS Pharmacy.

And I liked my job but I wasn't really passionate about it, so I decided I'm going to go back

to school to pursue something that I really am passionate about.

I was brought from Mexico when I was four, and I became a citizen in 2015.

I grew up with a very poor family.

School wasn't a top priority, you know, when you need to work as soon as, you know, you

turn 16.

I had to deal with work and helping my dad out.

So, you know, it was different.

I always had people telling me, like, "Oh, when are you going back to school?"

I wanted to go back to school, so making that decision, again, it wasn't hard.

I mean, I was willing to, you know, step down from my job and just commit.

So, here at CSUN I'm teaching three sessions for the Developmental Math Department.

They're SI sessions, supplemental instructions.

And so the students that are taking those classes are typically students that struggle

with math.

My goal with them is to try to get them to view math differently.

I just think that it comes natural in me.

Whether it's teaching, which is what I want to do.

You know I've always had to teach people to do things, even when I didn't have those positions

where I was required to teach a team, I would still be willing to help.

I've always told students, I won't ever be too busy to help them out.

Whether it's my job or just everyday life.

If I can help, I always want to help.

Dragon Braid Tutorial - Duration: 6:55.

Hi everyone! Today I want to show you how to make this hairstyle. I call this dragon braids!

To give my hair at least a LITTLE BIT of volume, I've used this dry shampoo from Lush, which I love.

I've also put some hair oil in my ends, because they're super damaged (livin' the bleach life).

But the only things you really need for this hairstyle is small, transparent elastics and a hair brush.

This hair style takes a while to finish, but the result is absolutely worth it.

I start by separating the hair into two parts, since we're making two braids.

We'll do one side at a time, and the first thing you do is

to put a little bit of hair up in the front.

Step 2 will be to put up a section of hair right behind the first one.

Then I take a third section behind the second one,

and now we'll split the first section in two,

and take one part on either side of the 2nd section of hair,

before we bring them together in the third section of hair.

If you thought this looked a bit confusing the first time - DON'T WORRY!

I'll be doing this again and again with my whole hair, so you'll get to see it plenty of times throughout this video.

Like I said earlier, this hairstyle takes time, so don't try this if you're in a rush.

As you get further down, start tugging at the braid to give it more volume.

Be careful not to tie the elastics too tight,

since they snap quite easily,

and it's super annoying if one elastic snaps in the middle of the braid,

and you have to take out all the elastics below it and re-braid everything to fix it.

When you get to this point, you'll just keep braiding the same way all the way to your ends.

But first, let's tug at the braid again to give it more volume before we continue.

You can braid it as far as you want, but I decided to stop here, since my hair is pretty thin,

so the braid would be too thin for my liking if I kept going.

Aaaand then we'll do the other side!

We'll do the exact same thing as we did on the first side,

and you should try to make the hair sections the same size as on the first side.

At the bottom, you can tie both sections in the same elastic to finish the braid.

And here's the finished result!

I think these braids are really cool, they're kind of bad ass but also pretty cute.

So if you're tired of French braids, this style is a great alternative.

If you liked this video, make sure to click LIKE, and subscribe to my channel.

And if you decide to try this hairstyle out, make sure you tag me in your photo on Instagram and/or Twitter.

Thank you so much for watching, I hope you're having a great day!

Automatic Transmission Driver Review - Michael Gestring - Duration: 3:17.

I've had several trucks over the course of the time that I've spent with Crete Carrier

and all of them have been manual transmissions.

And this is the first truck that I've had with the automatic transmission and I have

to tell ya it's probably the most encouraging thing that I've been with since I've been

with Crete Carrier.

It's so easy to drive, you don't have the issues of being at a stoplight and having

to go through the gears, it's just a matter of pressing on the accelerator pedal and you're

off and going.

There is all kinds of power in regards to being able to climb the steep grades and plenty

of torque to be able to get up those steep grades as well.

There's no reservations in regards to the fact that the power is not there or the torque

is not there to climb those grades.

We have a hill that we climb going into South Dakota, which is by Myrtle, South Dakota and

it's called the Myrtle Hill-that's our nickname for it and with the manual transmission as

far as speed is concerned I would bog down to maybe 25 mph 30 somewhere in there climbing

that hill.

I can climb that hill at ease at 40 mph now and that's fully loaded.

And the exhaust brake is wonderful with the automatic versus the manuals.

It actually works, which is really nice to have when you need it.

And one of the big benefits that I had switching from the manual to the automatic was the fact

that I was starting to have issues with my left knee from clutching and it was starting

to cause problems in my lower back on that side and after switching to the automatic

transmission all of that went away.

And for the old drivers it's been out there that's been negative and say that they won't

try the automatic transmissions, I would definitely encourage them to go ahead and at least experience

it because I think they'll be pleasantly surprised how much the quality of their life will improve

because of the fact that they're not having to shift.

The automatics of yesteryear are a lot different than the automatics of today.

I will not want to go back to the manual.

I would much rather prefer to stay with an automatic when I'm done with this truck.

I've driven this truck now for almost 100,000 miles so I have nothing negative to say about

automatic transmissions.

scrunching up the ends all the way up to

the roots what we're doing here is just

really trying to wring out all of the

wetness out of your hair and after this

I'm going to wrap it back up in the

towel on the opposite side of the towel

that doesn't have a lot of the wetness

on it and it really just seems to soak

up a lot more of the water I also like

using an old referee el2 because it

really just helps soak up the excess

water and I twist my hair back up and

this is when I start applying my makeup

once I'm done doing that I take my duff

styling mousse and I spray a good amount

in my hand and I scrunch it from the

ends all the way up to the roof and then

I'm going to take my towel after this

just to kind of help scrunch it a little

bit more I find using a towel doesn't

create as much frizziness and I'm going

to just keep crunching I do this for

about 10 minutes and I keep my head

flipped over the whole entire time until

I'm all done and then I flip my head

back up I bring all my hair to the front

and I keep on scrunching it should look

about like this until it dries then it

will look more like this and I always

like to perfect some of the waves that

just didn't come through all the way so

I just take my GHD straightener and I

kind of crimp my hair twisting my GHD

back and forth and then you'll see me

flip it a little bit more like a crimper

on this side of my head I love just

making different kind of waves after

doing that I take my batiste dry shampoo

and spray it throughout my hair like a

texturizing spray

and you can also use sea salt spray for

this I love using both and you should

end up with something like this I just

love these beautiful beachy waves that

look so natural and are perfect for

summer so that is the end of this video

thank you guys so much for watching I

hope you enjoyed it if you have any more

here tutorials you'd like to see don't

forget to leave em in the comments down

below I'll make sure to do them for you

thank you all so much for watching it

5 ADVANCED Chest Exercises FOR MEN (BUILD A BIGGER CHEST!) - Duration: 7:38.

What's up Champ!

I'm Vince Del Monte of GeneExpressionTraining.com

In this video, I'm gonna show you 5 NEW chest exercises

These are advanced chest exercises

so if your chest has hit a plateau

you're looking to build a bigger, more muscular chest, fuller chest

one that turns heads

you're gonna wanna pay attention. Alright

One of the big problems I see with guys who are trying to build their chest is doing just

the basics.

I'll see comments below and everyone says

Oh Vince, you're making it too complicated.

I'm not making it complicated.

What I understand is the what once got you to where you are

won't take you to where you want to go

We have to change things up

and this stuff I'm gonna teach you is based on just understanding the function of the

pec - of the the chest muscle.

Aright.

So one of the big things the chest does is adduction of the humerus.

So it pulls this humerus, this upper arm, this way.

Alright.

Another thing it does is internal rotation.

Now the exercises in this video aren't gonna challenge the internal roation aspect because

that's really advanced

But they will challenge this.

Which doesn't get challenged when we're doing dumbbells.

So people that say, Oh just stick to the basics all the time

Again, the basics are excellent.

They can take you so far, but then we need to start introducing things create more of

a stimulus

More of a challenge

And that's how you're gonna get a bigger and fuller chest.

So let's dig into it

At the end of the video I'll show you guys how to program this as a full blown workout

that you can take to the gym and do on your next chest day.

So exercise one here is your standard dumbbell chest press but we're gonna add the resistance

band

Alright.

So with a standard dumbbell chest press, what we can really recruit a lot of is our shoulders

and our triceps.

Which is great if we want to push a lot of weight.

But if we're really trying to creat more fatigue within the muscle, and really trying to sculpt

that muscle,

we need to create a challenge that challenges adductioin of the humerus.

So all we're gonna do here, as you can see, is slip this wrist band over your entire hand,

not just your thumb,

and we're gonna lie down on the bench, and we're gonna focus on really driving our elbows

together.

The big mistake guys make when they're trying to build their chest is that they just think

up and down, up and down, up and down

What we want to think about is trying to drive those elbows together which is really gonna

force you to do less weight.

I had a couple of guys in here recently who are used to doing 125 pounds dumbbell chest

presses

We put the resistance bands on them and they were struggling with 50's

So if you have to drop your weight, that's extremely normal

But you'll find that you're stimulating more pec, less shoulder, less tricep.

Okay so the next exercise are Hammer Presses with the bands.

Don't worry guys

At the end of the video I'll show you stuff if you don't have bands

This exercise here on a Hammer Press machine

A very good exercise.

However, it doesn't challenge that adduction of the humerus all that much

So what we're gonna do here is we're gonna take the resistance bands

We're gonna attach them to the handles

And then we're gonna attach them to the peg here that would normally hold the weights

That way, when we're pressing, we now have a challenge that's going throught the chest

muscles

and not just through the shoulders and triceps

The big thing I want you to focus on doing here is pressing all the way forward

Forward, forward, forward

Elbows together, elbows together, elbows together

And really maximally contract your pecs.

Another version of this is to attach the resistance bands actually around your elbow and not around

the handle.

Alright.

This is not as hard and this is best done just on the top half of the movement.

Alright.

You'll find the resistance really drops off if you go all the way back

So with this one, what you could do is you could just do the top half of the movement

And you can really learn how to get the muscles short

And when I say I want to get the muscle short, I mean get the muscle maximally contracted

A peak contraction

And that's when you're gonna get a ton of blood into your muscles

You take your shirt off, you go check yourself out in the mirror

And you'll be like, holy cow, my chest looks huge

This third exercise is really really cool

It's called Low Pulley Pushups

So yes, you do need th pulley apparatus to do this one

And what you're gonna do is, you're gonna find a light weight

Maybe 20 - 30 pounds

You're gonna put it in your hands, go into a push up position

And what you'll find is that because that line of pull is like pulling you outwards

You're gonna have to fight back with the exact function of the chest

So know we're geting away from thinking up and down

And now we're thinking about in and out, in and out, in and out with your elbows

Again, we're thinking about building that chest.

Alright.

We're not just thinking about repping it out

Alright.

A big difference in how you approach your training when you're trying to achieve a specific

goal

This fourth exercise is for people who don't have the pulley apparatus or the resistance

bands and these are called

In Set Super Sets

Alright.

In Set Super Sets

And what we're doing is, we're combining a fly with a dumbbell chest press

So as you can see here, I'm choosing a weight here that I can do about 15 times with a fly

and I'm going for 1 rep and then I'm going into a dumbbell chest press

Now really watch this motion that I'm tracing myself through.

I'm really focused on getting my elbows as far away

from my body as possible.

I'm keeping tension on my chest

I'm not going into such a stretch position where I lose the tension

A lot of people say the chest fly is a bad exercise for your pecs

It doen't make any sense

If you can maintain tension on your pecs, it's completely fine.

It means you're in control.

The only time an exercise becomes dangerous is if you lose control of the movement.

Alright.

If there's active tension on a muscle, it's not dangerous at all.

Alright.

Exercises only become dangerous if you go into passive tension.

This is a really good exercise for learning how to activate your chest muscles.

Alright.

This is one you do obviously for higher reps

But it's really gonna give you a huge pump

Alright so this last exercise is called Omni Sets

Ideally done on a bench press

But because they're being taken I'm doing an incline bench press here

And what we're doing here is we're shifting grips from set to set

So on the first set we start off with a close grip

And then on the second set we do a medium grip

And then for our third set

The goal here is to maintain the same number of reps and the same weight

And by shifting our grip, we're giving ourselves a mechanical advantage

Alright.

So there's less torque to the muscle which means we'll be able to continue to get the

reps and the load

and the angle is helping us accommodate the fatigue that's setting in.

Alright.

It's really a strategic way to get bigger without reducing reps or weight

Alright guys, if you want a complete chest workout with those 5 exercise

I've put it in in the description below

I've also put it in the comment section for you guys

You're gonna see the way this is programmed is in a way to do just one all out set per

exercise

Alright.

I'm not gonna have you do 4 -5 sets per exercise

I want you to get one good quality set with each one of those exercises

So by the end, you're gonna do 5 quality sets

Alright.

Because this is all new, that's gonna be more than sufficient.

Lastly, if you're looking for a complete no nonsense muscle building program

And you like that last technique I gave you, Omni Sets, that's the entire premise of one

of the phases within my program

No Nonsense Muscle Building 2.0

And I'll put a link for you on the screen and in the description if you're looking for

a step-by-step program

to gain size, get stronger, get shredded

It does everything.

Alright.

It's a killer, killer program.

You can read more about it by taking the, um, quiz via the link in the description or

on the screen

And I think that's about it guys

You guys enjoyed this video, let me know in the comment section

Make sure to give it a thumbs up

And let me know what you guys want me to cover in upcoming videos

I'll see you guys next time.

FOODS THAT MAKE US SMELL, FODMAP, & MORE - Duration: 7:25.

I'm not really too sure how I feel about

this topic to tell you guys I'm a little shy.

(MUSIC)

Hi everyone welcome back to my

channel my name is Kim I'm a registered

dietitian. So just go ahead and look

around there's some videos below that I

do want you guys to take a look at and

subscribe to this channel. So today we're

going to be speaking about something a

little personal. I'm not really too sure

how I feel about this topic to tell you

guys I'm a little shy, but I'm going to

proceed anyway.I'm not a gastroenter-

eulogist, I am NOT your dietitian, I'm a

dietitian! [and] We're going to be speaking

about certain occurrences for men and

women; we're going to make this gender

neutral, that does occur below your belt.

we're not going to speak about anything

dealing with the front ladies and

gentlemen I made a video about that

before video popping up now so go ahead

and take a look at it. So we're going to

actually be speaking about your derriere

-your backside and the particular

odors which do come from your

flatulence I guess that's the medical

term or your fart for lack of better

words. So I'll be honest with you passing

gas is something that we all do on a

daily basis. Some of the gas that we pass

some of them may have different odors so

it's important to know what odor is

normal for you everyone has a different

gas odor. Some people are even odorless.

I'm finding that's the case with me

typically, but lately um it hasn't been like

that I'm just being honest, 100% with you guys.

There are certain foods that we eat

which can affect the frequency of our

gas as well as the scent of our gas and

I just wanted to touch topics with you

guys about that today. So I'm pretty sure

we've all been a situation I've been in

a situation where nature calls and

you have to use the bathroom, a public

bathroom I mean it's not the most ideal

situation, but when nature calls you know

you have to go. So someone walks in and

the bathroom smells horrid and you're

the only one in that bathroom and of

course they know it's you when they come

out of the bathroom you guys are washing

hands you know trying to be polite and

there's other situations where you're in

public and you have to let one go. It can

either be a silent killer or you know

you're squeezing in trying to be polite

not having any sound to escape your

derriere and you squeeze it and it has

a scent and you're hoping that no one

recognizes the scent girl --or guy it

stinks it smells like rotten eggs. Just

being... keeping it professional we keep it

100% on this channel 100! This is

really about educating yourselves and

knowing what foods can cause different

odors. If individuals have any food

sensitivities, any food allergies, any bowel

disturbances then that can definitely

cause odors. Recently the FODMAP diet is

a diet that is becoming very popular and

I'm going tell you what FODMAP stands

for I have it memorized the term FODMAP,

but let me tell you what it stands for--I have

my... looking it up on my cellphone right

quick. So what FODMAP means is

fermentable oligosaccharides,

disaccharides, monosaccharides, and polyols

and basically this diet is made for

people that have Irritable Bowel

Syndrome (IBS) and these are foods that tend

to sit in the stomach. People that have

IBS have a hard time digesting these

foods.

One of the things that happens to them

besides abdominal pain they do have a

lot of gas. So I'm pretty sure the first

scent that we all know of is that stinky

rotten egg scent. Raise your hand, attest

to it ,tell the truth and shame the devil

and these are foods that are high in

cysteine. Cysteine is one of those amino

acids which have sulfur in them. Certain

foods that have sulfur in them, I'm just

going to name a few-- so we have cabbage,

brussel sprouts, yes mm-hmm

we have onion, garlic, bok choy which is

one of my favorite greens. When eating

these foods you can have a very sinky

smell. Additionally certain foods as well;

foods that are high in protein such as

your meat products and your dairy

products, these things can make you have

a very foul-smelling wind. These are the

foods just letting you guys become a little

more aware of these certain foods.

I'm not saying oh you should stop eating

these foods what I'm saying is you need

to be aware. Additionally certain foods

can cause and odor well and these are

as a result of foods that are undigested;

undigested carbohydrates particularly in

the body. Additionally certain foods can

cause you to be gassing and of course those

are the foods that are high in fiber.

Some people do have a problem of being a

little gassier--

more gassier than others. I'm a person in

my culture we grew up on legumes so I do

not have a problem with eating beans I

mean it's actually a part of my diet

almost on a daily basis. I would say

every other day I'm eating some type of

legumes. So individuals may need to work up

their tolerance to that [eating more fiber]. When we eat, when

we talk, when we drink something we

inhale air so the air that we inhale

into our stomachs you know it passes

through the whole entire digestive tract

and then it is expelled. Being careful

when eaten in particular you know some

people like to eat and talk at the same

time so you are ingesting a little more

air. And also fizzy drinks such as your

soda pops are filled with carbonation so

minimizing your intake of those as well

will be beneficial. I just want to make

you a little more aware of

I your FARTS, you know I don't like to

say that word it kind of sounds a little

unprofessional, but I think it's word

all of us can identify with; why you're

gas your wind does stink as well as

what causes you, what causes an

individual's body to produce a little

more gas than others.

The main take-home point that I want you

to focus on is realize that everybody's

body does have an odor figure out what

your odor is because different odors can

indicate different things which you may

need to see your medical provider about.

The FODMAP diet just wanted to emphasize

again it's found to be helpful for

people that do have IBS. So guys I do

thank you guys for watching if you have

any questions related to gas, related to

odors please leave them in the

description box below. If you do have any

information that you do want to add go

ahead and put it as well in the comment

section below.

Thank you guys for watching please

remember to like as well as subscribe--Bye!

C&C Generals Zero Hour Untitled 3.7 - Skirmish with Lasers - Duration: 28:07.

Pinpoint Townes and his arsenal in C&C Untitled are your "glass cannons".

His units are relatively fragile when unupgraged, but they deal lots of damage.

Laser General lacks some fast area of effect weapons, that's his biggest drawback.

Same goes for his anti-tank weaponry, it's not great but it's quite ok during the fight.

But his biggest advantage is the fact, his units can intercept incoming missiles and are great against air threats.

But that was bad luck in this game because I've received 3 GLAs from random pool ( ͠° ͟ʖ ͠°).

Rebecca O'Dwyer, MD - Duration: 1:37.

Sometimes despite a patient's neurologist's best efforts, they cannot get their seizures

under control with multiple medications.

And so patients will often come to a specialized center, such as Rush, where we can offer more

specialized testing to help figure out where exactly the seizures are coming from, and

then tailor the treatment to their specific seizures.

Sometimes epilepsy surgery isn't appropriate, but we also offer neurostimulators that can

be implanted into the brain or along the vagus nerve.

The idea behind neurostimulation is that you alter over time how the brain fires and that

over time the brain becomes less susceptible to having a seizure.

And this is why in cases where patients are still having seizures, despite taking multiple

medications and we cannot do surgery on them, this is often a good option to get their seizures

under control.

Sometimes patients come to me, and they're just happy that they've been seizure-free

long enough that they can drive again.

Or that they have their seizures well- enough controlled that they can join the workforce

again.

That's kind of the trick to treating people with epilepsy.

You have to see the patient in front of you — not in terms of the seizure disorder — but

the person and how they function in their world and how their seizures are affecting

their everyday life.
