Set...

It's not how you start, it's how you finish.

The old adage is true for every sport in the Olympics,

be it taekwondo...

..table tennis...

..or triathlon.

While a good start in any event is important...

..the real glory is at the end.

A gold medal may be the ultimate glory in the Olympics.

But sometimes something remarkable comes along

to remind us of the true Olympic spirit.

Something that shows Pierre De Coubertin's original vision.

In 1992, British athlete Derek Redmond

was one of those taking part in the 400 metres.

Derek had missed out on taking part in Seoul 1988 by mere minutes.

An injury meant that he withdrew

and watched from the sidelines as Steve Lewis won gold for the US.

But that was in the past.

By Barcelona 1992, Derek was injury-free

and determined to win a place on the podium.

That wasn't something unfeasible either -

he had already shown he was no stranger to winning.

The year before, in 1991,

he was part of the British 4 x 400m relay team

that had won gold at the World Championships,

and Derek was confident he could add to that success at the Olympics.

His first heat was a solid run,

with his quickest time in the last four years.

A great start to the Games.

By the second heat, Derek was starting to find his groove.

He won his heat again,

and looked like he still had plenty of gas left in the tank.

Once it was time for the semifinals,

Derek was confident he would be racing in the 400m final.

He just had to get through this last test.

I had a great warm-up, stride and everything went well,

came out on the track, put my blocks down, no problems,

told us to strip down, stripped down.

Then you have the little bit where you're standing in your lane

and they come and shove a camera in your face

so everyone can see who you are, blocked that out and everything.

He said, "On your marks, get set..."

Listos...

The race started well.

I couldn't believe that I was running that quick.

It's hard to tell positions in the 400m

due to the staggering of the athletes,

but Derek was holding his own,

well within the time he would need to qualify for the final.

Then it happened.

The next thing I heard was a funny pop.

Derek knew immediately that he was in trouble.

The funny pop had been his hamstring tearing.

A few more steps and he fell to the floor in agony.

In severe pain, Derek could only hold his head in his hands

as the other competitors sprinted to the finish.

DEREK: I watched them go over the line,

and obviously I knew it was over.

Four years of hard work and waiting,

and it was all over in the most painful way possible.

But Derek had not travelled all this way to not finish another race.

The bitter memory of missing out in Seoul had stayed with him.

As medics came to help him off the track,

Derek refused to go out without a fight.

Obviously in pain, he was going to finish this race,

no matter what it took.

But Derek wouldn't have to finish this race on his own.

Barging his way through the stands came his father, Jim,

desperate to help his son in any way he could.

Derek struggled through the pain

to embrace the man who had done so much for his career.

The pair continued down the last 100m.

Back in Derek's home town, Northampton,

the sight of seeing her brother and father struggle so dramatically

sent Derek's pregnant sister into labour earlier than expected.

In great pain, and struggling to move,

Derek was in floods of tears as he finally crossed the line.

But the crowd roared the pair on.

And while Derek may have failed in his bid to win a medal,

finishing the way that he did made him an instant celebrity.

The sight of Derek using his father as a crutch

has become one of the enduring Olympic images.

People gave Derek messages of support from around the world,

praising his sportsmanship and perseverance.

It was the ultimate show of the Olympic spirit.

Competing against the pain, despite the heartbreak,

not for the glory of winning, but to cross that finish line,

and proving you don't have to be a gold medallist

to be an Olympic hero.

For the fox makeup, making almond type eyes overall

but only for the outer corner, making it droopy with black

Hello, I'm the colorful NEET, Oharu

This time I'm trying a fox makeup

so please check it out until the end

So let's start

The color contacts are from Genie Girls

The Redholic

It's exactly the same one used on my other V-Kei makeup video

The good thing about these color contacts are, they give good color,

and I didn't feel it was such a big size, but it makes the eyes look big

I feel that is the good part

Next is the Eyelid Tape

As the fake eyelashes will be added double this time,

and doing heavy makeup

so using Wonder Eyelid Tape to widen the eyelid

On this side, my eyelids are not parallel,

so if I were to add the eyelashes as it is, or have heavy makeup,

it will actually sink in the double eyelid and make the eyes look smaller

so I would make the parallel eyelid first, and would do this when doing heavy makeup

If I'm doing natural makeup, I would leave as it is,

but when doing heavy makeup, I realized it's better to widen first to make the eyes look bigger

Next will be the base

Makeup base from Kanebo, the Media

I wanted the overall makeup color to have a blueish look to it

so I'm using the green color

Next, before doing the powder foundation,

adding the face powder first

The face powder is the Face Up Powder Milano Collection 2017 version from Kanebo

By adding face powder before the foundation, it will keep the foundation from becoming uneven

and doesn't come off so easily

I heard this what professional makeup artists do

so I'm trying it this time as well

When you are using liquid foundation,

you can use the liquid foundation and add the powder later on as widely known

Next is Coffers D'or powder foundation Ochre C

For this one if you apply it from the center towards outside,

it will go on evenly and give a beautiful finish so that's what I do

The next one I'm using is IB's eyebrow powder

This can be used for shading as well

The nose shadow comes on first

Using the middle color with a brush

Adding it pretty dark this time

The makeup this time is going to be drawing designs in places, and will be heavy overall

The nose shadow will go in dark, just to make that as another design was what I had in mind

Since the wig is in white, and has the effect of making the face look big

so adding the shading to the face line pretty well

Taking some on the brush, and going along the face line

overall adding it as in a petting motion

Next is the eye shadow

First to the whole eyelid adding this beige looking color from this block

using this really light brown color as a highlighter

After adding to the whole eyelid,

adding this pinkish color to the double fold part

Usually on the double fold, I would add black or darker color above the pupils to make it bigger

but for this time, I just wanted to do a reddish makeup,

so adding the pink color around here, not worrying so much about the position

Next is the eyeliner

Maybelline hyper sharp liner Shikkoku black

Since the makeup this time is quite a clear thick makeup,

I wanted to pull the line with black instead of brown colors, so I'm using black

First drawing the inner corner pretty clearly,

Just pull the line, and on the outer corner, drawing it with an image of having wings

The bottom part on the outer corner will be drawn pretty dark

The width will be pretty thick as well

and making it look droopy

The fox makeup itself is done overall to make almond shape eyes,

so by doing the outer corner droopy with the black liner,

this will keep the balance so it won't be too sharp looking

Wth the CanMake red liner, drawing the double eyelid line

The double eyelid line goes in normally,

and going to draw the shadow under the eyebags

usually I would use the brown color, but pulling it in red color

In my case, I will shut my eyes a little, and the eye bags will come out a little

and as tracing under those eye bags, I will pull a line

Stretching the double eyelid line and the line under the eye bags,

and connecting the two lines together

Next is Angel Eye Color in Red

Filling in the color of the line you just drew

The places to fill in would be,

right around the middle of the eyes to the outer corner

Same for below

Drawing it around to the middle,

and drawing it evenly

Suvez Mon Regard from Bourjois

This one has white glitter in it

Using this, drawing the part which I did not draw in red a while ago

Adding it in quite a dark color,

and making it lighter, gradually overlapping with the red

and for this inner corner L shapes part, adding as well

The red will be drawn here, but there will be an open space where you didn't draw

overlapping slightly and lightly is good enough

so adding slightly the glitter here

Dolly Wink eyebrows mascara

and erasing the color of the eyebrows

Not erasing, but since I wanted to draw the eyebrows in red,

so I wanted to temporarily lose the color of the eyebrows

Going the opposite side of how the eyebrows are flowing, as if going against it

This will look like it's actually going brown

This will appear again

CanMake Gel Liner in red color

Drawing the eyebrows

The eyebrows itself will be round shape, but the outer corner will point a bit upwards

It's like the eyebrows of ancient times

Next is KATE's color jack liner

This is actually ones for eyeliner and mascara

but since it's the red one, I'm using it for the eyebrows this time

When using this, from keeping your own eyebrows from standing up, coloring it with the red color

to create a red and round eyebrows

Next is adding the eyelashes

One of my video was about black and white makeup

It's the same eyelashes used that time as well

On black fake lashes

adding this brown fake lashes which has been colored in white and cropped

Overlapping each other

I originally wanted white lashes, but white lashes make my eyes look small

To conquer that, I started by adding black lashes on the bottom

and if I add the white one only on top of the outer corner part,

this won't make the eyes look too small even if I use a white one

so I'm using it like this

The next one I'm using is the ones for bottom

Honey from Twinkle Rush

Originally it's a black colored one

I painted all over to make it brown with the Dolly Wink eyebrow mascara

and before it dries out when I add baby powder on it, it becomes white

If you look close, it's brown but it looks like white lashes at first glance

and adding that along the edge of the eyes

Next is the lip gloss

I use this pretty often

It's the true red color one from Etude House

Adding this all over the lips and,

to make the edge of the lips like the mask of the fox,

Shaping it round like this and letting it stick out a little

The important thing to do is, when you do, don't do it too much

If you add too much, it will be a smudge,

so take off as much of the lip gloss sticking to the applicator on the edge of the bottle

and keep it less as possible

trying to utilize the round part on the tip of the applicator as much as possible,

On the tip of the part where it is sticking out a little

Sticking out less than 1cm from the edge of the mouth

Close your mouth so that the edge of your mouth will go up just a bit

is where you add it

It came out again, the red eyeliner from CanMake

Drawing some fox like designs and whiskers.

The actual design I copied from looking at the mask of fox

but if you have an idea of what a design of a fox may look like,

you can draw it as you like

For the wig, I had a arctic fox in mind and chose a white one

By using a really long one, I tried to illustrate a mysterious looking one

Matching with that, I'm using a fluffy ear of a fox to look like one

As this time it was a fox makeup,

and made the inner corner look bigger

and make the eyes look almond shaped like a fox,

and drawing this side in an almond shape so it will look more like a fox,

If you look at masks of a fox you will notice,

the mouth of the mask is pretty red

so illustrating that with a red lip gloss is the key point of this makeup

The outfit is also in a traditional Japanese style

The knee high socks are that of a fox,

and there is also a design of a shrine gate to make it all into a shrine atmosphere

alrighty lets open it tadaa it was full of snacks and noodles

these are apparently drinks so I'll go prep them right now

white coffee and.... uhh what is this? ? x ? its written in Indonesian

this is the white coffee and this is the sariwangi it turned out to be a tea bag

the white coffee is so sweet and so delish

very milky

the sariwangi smells wonderful

oh delish it tastes good

and now I'll eat these... Mr. P

these are honey roasted peanuts we've got these in Japan and you can get them in many different countries

this is what they look like

so sweet and salty and so very tasty the peanuts are so crunchy

next is beng beng and silverqueen

this is what they look like

the beng beng is made of a wafer with caramel inside covered in chocolate

its so crispy and delish

goes great with this hot tea

the silverqueen is a peanutty chocolate

next I'll try this nanonanonano is it some sort of candy?

theres a bunch of these inside

its a nice colorful candy a type you don't see much in Japan

its a flavor that I haven't encountered before

sweet.... salty... and sour its very delish... I like the taste of this

what exactly is this flavor? it says orange ?p? flavor

oh yeah that's right come to think of it thats what it tastes like

yes an orangey flavor it says 'unique flavor candy'

I guess its a 'different' flavor even in Indonesia

next up is this 'togo' it has this sort of cookie inside

a cocoa flavored cookie with cream sandwiched in between

next up is this which is called sarmimi

oh its mi goreng I've made a few of them its like an indonesian style yakisoba

there's double noodles in here we don't have this sort of thing in Japan

for 2 people I take it

inside its got this, and this and this inside

its done looks delish. this is what it looks like

mmmm its a sweet and salty flavor that I love so much I love this!

its a sweet salty flavor that sort of has a hint of charred soy sauce

so very delish

now that I think of it I don't think I've seen mi goreng here in Japan

I guess they haven't entered the Japanese market place..... too bad, its so delish

the noodles still retain a nice bite to them the sauce is made up of many different flavors

last up is this in the letter it said 'custard snack'

and inside it looks like this are these going to be spicy?

I'm very excited with the idea of owning a gaming PC

So you can expect some gameplays on the channel

And so... today I wanna share with you a few of the hardwares that I got

Just a few items

I don't want to dive in details about configurations and other things

I'll be fair, it's been awhile that I'm not aware of the PC world

And basically my choices were made based on cost benefits

That's why I ended up choosing some of those hardwares

Well, finally...

I have here some of the items that already arrived

I'll be presenting item by item

Well, I thing that that most interesting part on gamer PC is its video graphic card

right!

So... here it is, that's the little girl

A GForce GTX1060 from ASUS

Well... let's do the unboxing of this thing!

It's pretty cool

This video may get a little bit long

But...

Well, it's acceptable

Because of the changes here on the channel

It's pretty big! This video card is very large.

Let's clear some space here because it is significantly big

Very big as you can see...

I'm not sure but I think it has about 33 cm of depth

33 cm... I'll look in the manual

You got have to have in mind, the size of your case

Cause it's a huge card

Pretty fancy this ASUS box

It's fancy but It doesn't matter much for me

If they could provide it with a more affordable price I would prefer not having the box.

You see, a box this big to contain only these items...

I think it doesn't make sense.

A few velcro bands to hold the wires...

the drivers ... but it worth downloading the latest version from NVidea's website, we all know

I'll look for its dimensions in the manual ...

So I can tell you ...

about it right now ...

because ....

it's very important, maybe you're planning to buy this card, you have to think about your case size...

otherwise, it won't fit in.

Anyways ... let it aside, couldn't find it, later I'll tell you :)

So... here is the little girl, I think this is what is most important

Ha ... another cool thing that I did not mention, if you like those fancy hardwares with a lot of LEDs on it like a Christmas tree this is your card

it has some LEDs in these regions here

there's the configurable LEDs

if you like PC cases that has a window showing all of your cool and fancy hardwares like a Christmas tree this is for sure a good option for you

I'll just put it aside where it will be on safe.

it's a little complicated here, there's a lot of stuff here...

this is our motherboard MSI Z270 Tomahawk!

it has a chipset Z270

this one like the video card has the LEDs of Christmas tree

it can be fun but ...

I did not choose it because of its LEDs, I don't care much about it...

but because hardwares that are targeted to the gamers they have better performance

usually the line of products for gamers have better quality.

they deliver better quality and performance

it has four memory slots (32G max RAM) chipset Intel Z270

this chipset is compatible with the latest Intel processors, the 7th generation Kaby Lake

it have HDMI port, 1 port UBC type C... it's a pretty nice motherboard

I bought it by an affordable price here in Malaysia

I'll not manipulate it here right now because of electrostatic, I don't have electrostatic band so to avoid any problem I won't touch it now

I'll just open it so you guys can see it inside its plastic bag...

and once I got all the parts I'll be shooting a setup video

and here it is ... I'll not touch it to avoid problemas

I'm sorry but it's for the sake of security

Well... ha... it was just a scissor falling

next one ... another thing very important for gamers

our PSU or Power Supply Unit

I've chosen this PSU thinking on the long term, I'm not willing to keep it only for a short time

it's not either a full modular or a semi modular model, this is a non modular model

to you that don't know exactly what it means ... I mean, if you're watching this I can presume you know what it is

but basically a modular PSU is a model that don't have all the cables and conector attached to it ... what I mean is ...

what it have in fact are some connectors with adapters and it's up to you to choose which one to connect

This one isn't a modular PSU

And the reason is cause I decided to buy a case a little bit more expensive

but that had more space, I mean has the right design to deal with all the PSU cables ... I'll show it in while ...

It allows you to store your PSU at its bottom and all cables can be arranged on the case's side part

So it actually don't matter if it is a modular or non modular PSU.

I'll get rid of all cables that cause a mess inside the case

As the previous one I bought this product for a good price too

I guess it was around 345,00 MYR

haa... I'm not sure, let's do the math ...

just a second ...

and I'll tell you the actual value I've paid

in Brazilian Reals R$ ... 345 ...

something around R$ 244,00 (Brazilian currency)

and you guys will notice as I'll show you the prices that ... if we compare with the prices applied in Brazil

it's much better here though ... it helps a lot

and ... another thing that you have to have in mind is ... that the Malaysian currency worth less than the Brazilian

Another thing that arrived is the...

HDD ( SSD ) solid state drive

I wasn't planning to buy a SSD but just a normal HDD

but after discussing with some friends in the office ... I just made my mind to buy a SSD

They said... "hey... it worth, buy a SSD"

Then came the dilemma ...should I spend more money or less money ... what should I do?

is it wrong is it right?

what a s*$%&# ...

In the end I thought ... I don't want this machine only for a while ... I want to have a nice experience with it

and to be fair I can install Unity3D here, I'll be able to play around with it

it will run smooth yeah...

who knows? ... maybe to use it to create something ... yeah ... it worth :D

and ... anyhow ... I can just take it away and use it on another computer later on

it really worth it

I ended up choosing this SSD...

480G of high speed

a pretty cool price ... it was ... 612,00 MYR

what means ... something around R$ 434,00

a SSD of 480G ...

535MB / second ... it's really really good

ahh...

And finally ... not exactly finally cause there's more things over here ...

We have a CPU cooler ... it came with its box a little bit smashed

I didn't mention the processor yet cause I don't have it here

I has not arrived yet for me

What happened with this cooler was pretty funny, this thing is... I did not buy this, I bought a simple one

the one that I bought was smaller than this

I have no idea on what happened ... the model I bought was the HYPER 212X ... and

they delivered for me this one

I don't know why ... I guess they didn't had the one I bought that's why they've sent me this one

I loved it

Well, I'm back already with the PC case ...

as you can see it's a little big, so it's a bit hard to handle it

It's a Fractal Define C, this model has a window at the side

I'll try to ... It will shake the camera but ...

but anyway ...

I'll try to show you some of the features that caught my attention on this model

First of all, this window is very nice

Though I've said about the Christmas tree and all the lights

I don't really care about the lights but it's nice to see the hardware

In my case ... I like it

It's a nice experience, it seems to be stupid or silly but I like it

ha...

It was very well engineered ... I have to grab something to put under it

Let's take this pillow here

Everything here is improvisation...

And... present a few characteristics that I really liked

at the bottom

This is something that you can just take out...

So... if you just pull it this way, you can remove it

This is something very cool that will avoid dust on your system

Though your case may be on the ground

The suction that is created by the coolers will not suck dust and dirt into your system

Even though you may remove it ... there's still another grille... and as you can observe the air flow will be very intense

Another cool fact that I mentioned ... this is the PSU's location, at the bottom

is right here were the store the PSU

it will be accommodated inside this drawer

and all of its cables can be hidden deep down there

and so... there's no need put a lot of cables on top of your mother board, memories and so on ...

this same part that I showed here ... I'll gonna put it back

it doesn't only exist at the bottom but at the top too

just in case you want

to buy a water cooler

that is a cooling water system

you can ... well ... I don't remember how I opened it ...

the top of it ... is removable

and you can add a water cooler in here

with its coolers facing the top

Another cool thing is ... the screws here at the side they come attached to it... I don't know it this type of screws has a different name ... I'll just call it screw

Though you may pull it ... it won't get out

Done... it's very well done, it has a protection here velvety

So the wires you'll accommodate that come coming from your motherboard can touch it with no problem

I believe, just in case a wire get exposed there will be no problem touching the side

there will be no contact with the metal

So... this is the side behind the motherboard, where you can accommodate all of your cables

and right here... you can put your SDDs, in case you have more than one

they will be on the vertical

and everything else will be right here at the bottom close to the 3.5" HDD

and you can guide them towards the top

if you pay attention here ... there's this hole covered with rubber

then all the cables that comes out from behind ... they can pass through this hole and you can access

have access to them right on top of your motherboard

then you can have access to the PSU cable and the other cables

ah... ok ... this side is removable too ... I'll open it ... the window side

well... it is a bit hard to open it

Those openings that I'm shown here are the ones that the wires will come out

it comes with 2 coolers ... one at the front and another on the rear

let's remove the upper part ... just to show you what you can do ... with this "guy"

so... this upper part you can just remove it

it's made of plastic and it has the same color as the case metal

And then what we have is this ...

Where you can add more coolers or if you have a water cooler it is right here where you can put its fans

Inside this small plastic bag comes another cool thing

This is the grille I've mentioned before... and its edges are made of a magnetic material

and you can just attach it to the top of the case

this way you have another grille that will work to provide more air flow inside the system while avoiding dust at the same time

though you have this grille it will only avoid just a bit of the dust because the holes it has will for sure let a bit of dust get into

it will not avoid 100%

I saw a few reviews where they gave more information about it

And ... they've tested it with different cooler types and different conditions ...

with the top opened and closed

I'll open the front of it to show you more ... how it works in here

and... what those guys revealed with those reviews was that

Is that the difference with the top open or closed are basically 2 degrees celsius

thats the difference...

Let's say will ask yourself "What's the difference between letting it opened or closed?"

So... I've removed it's frontal part

It's made of plastic ...

It's well made ... it's solid

this part is brushed ... very nice effect

the Fractal team worked very well on this product

and then they can be exposed on the other side ...

I really liked it ... for me, they worked very well on it when it comes to cooling

this is the white coffee and this is the sariwangi it turned out to be a tea bag

the white coffee is so sweet and so delish

very milky

the sariwangi smells wonderful

oh delish it tastes good

these are honey roasted peanuts we've got these in Japan and you can get them in many different countries

this is what they look like

so sweet and salty and so very tasty the peanuts are so crunchy

next is beng beng and silverqueen

this is what they look like

the beng beng is made of a wafer with caramel inside covered in chocolate

its so crispy and delish

goes great with this hot tea

the silverqueen is a peanutty chocolate

next I'll try this nanonanonano is it some sort of candy?

theres a bunch of these inside

its a nice colorful candy a type you don't see much in Japan

its a flavor that I haven't encountered before

sweet.... salty... and sour its very delish... I like the taste of this

what exactly is this flavor? it says orange ?p? flavor

oh yeah that's right come to think of it thats what it tastes like

yes an orangey flavor it says 'unique flavor candy'

I guess its a 'different' flavor even in Indonesia

next up is this 'togo' it has this sort of cookie inside

a cocoa flavored cookie with cream sandwiched in between

next up is this which is called sarmimi

oh its mi goreng I've made a few of them its like an indonesian style yakisoba

there's double noodles in here we don't have this sort of thing in Japan

for 2 people I take it

inside its got this, and this and this inside

its done looks delish. this is what it looks like

mmmm its a sweet and salty flavor that I love so much I love this!

its a sweet salty flavor that sort of has a hint of charred soy sauce

so very delish

now that I think of it I don't think I've seen mi goreng here in Japan

I guess they haven't entered the Japanese market place..... too bad, its so delish

the noodles still retain a nice bite to them the sauce is made up of many different flavors

last up is this in the letter it said 'custard snack'

this is what it looks like isn't it so Kawaii

and inside it looks like this are these going to be spicy?

give them a taste

CRAZY HOT

and as well... ~SO HOT!~

and you know.... oh jeez its really crazy hot

just one chip was waaaay hot

and it has a spicy flavor that is so different compared to Japanese spicy foods

Hello! I'm Dina. I'm very glad that you looked at my channel "Collection of Recipes.

Today, at the request of my Galina subscriber, we will prepare a national Austrian dish - a strudel with apples.

The Viennese strudel is a traditional dessert made from a thin dough with apple or cherry filling.

This dish has become famous in many countries and there are many recipes for making this dessert.

Prepare the strudels as with a sweet filling - with fruits, berries, nuts, pumpkin, cottage cheese, and with unsweetened - meat, cabbage and potatoes.

To prepare the Viennese strudel with apples, we will need:

For the test: • 250 gr. Flour • 125 gr. Warm water

• 1 egg • 3 tablespoons Vegetable oil • a pinch of salt

For filling: • 1.5 kg. Apples • 100 gr. Nuts

• 100 gr. Raisins (+ 70ml of rum) • 150 gr. Sahara • 100-150 gr. Breadcrumbs

• 1 lemon • 2 tsp. Cinnamon

And: • 100 gr. Vegetable oil

• 100 gr. Melted butter • sugar powder

We will prepare the strudel from a dough, but you can take ready-made puff or dough filo.

You can mix the dough by hand, in the bread maker or in my case with a mixer.

In the bowl pour the sifted flour, add a pinch of salt, egg and vegetable oil.

We install the "hook" attachment for a thick dough and mix the products at low speed.

In the process of kneading, pour a thin stream of warm water.

We knead the dough for 10-15 minutes at medium speed.

It took 10 minutes, we grease the hands with vegetable oil and take the dough from the bowl.

Here we have such a soft, elastic dough.

Form the dough into a bowl, put it into a bowl and pour it with vegetable oil so that the dough is completely covered by it.

Leave the dough in oil for at least 30 minutes to make it even more soft, supple and easier to stretch.

In the meantime, let's do apple stuffing.

At once I will tell, that for this stuffing raisins are used, which it is necessary to soak in a rum for 1 day.

Prepare the apples.

Strudel is recommended to take strong green, preferably acidic apples with pronounced flavor and aroma.

We clean them from the skin, cut into 4 parts and remove the core.

Prepared apple slices are cut across into small slices 3-4 mm thick.,

We put it into a bowl and sprinkle it with pre-squeezed lemon juice.

This is done so that apples do not darken.

In a bowl with apples, add cinnamon, pre-dried and chopped walnuts,

Impregnated with rum raisins, pour half of biscuits (from my sweet bun, but you can take breadcrumbs or crushed biscuit biscuits),

Add sugar, and mix everything well.

Our apple filling is ready.

We proceed to the most responsible and laborious process, it is necessary to roll out and stretch the dough as thin as possible.

To do this, the work surface is covered with a cotton cloth or a linen towel.

Our dough welled up in the oil, from this amount you can cook one large or two small strudel.

But the way I want to show you 2 ways to prepare strudel, then divide this dough into 2 parts.

We take it from the oil, we pour it in flour, and the towel is well sprinkled with flour.

Roll the dough as thin as possible with a rolling pin,

And then put your hands under the dough and gently stretch from the center to the edges until it becomes so thin that you can see the pattern on the fabric through it.

The dough is so thin that when it is stretched inevitably the appearance of holes - it's not scary, they can be left, and can be closed, and rolled again with a rolling pin.

Try to stretch the dough into a long rectangular formation, the width of which is equal to the length of your baking tray.

Prepared dough is sprinkled with melted butter and gently lubricated with a brush.

This is done in order to give the stratification to the finished strudel.

Top with sprinkled croutons, which will absorb the excess moisture of juicy apple filling.

As I said, we will prepare the strudel in two different ways.

In the first case, we recede from the narrow edge of 10 cm and evenly spread the stuffing with a slide, slightly compacting it.

We bend the dough into the filling, where we left the free edge and now with the help of a towel we begin to fold our strudel into a roll.

In the end we smear the strudel with melted butter, and cover with a free edge of the dough.

The ends of the roll tightly fold, tear off excess dough and squeeze inwards so that when baking does not flow a juicy filling.

Using a towel, transfer the strudel to the baking sheet.

It can be oiled and sprinkled with breadcrumbs, covered with parchment paper, silicone or as in my case with a teflon mat.

We repeat the procedure with the second half of the test.

Similarly, roll out and very carefully stretch it into a flat rectangular bed.

Do it without hurrying, tk. The dough is very thin and can easily tear.

Prepared dough, as in the first case, grease with melted butter, sprinkle with remaining breadcrumbs and spread out the filling.

The difference is that in the second method the filling is spread evenly over the entire surface of the dough, not reaching the edge of 10-15 cm.

We finish the process of folding the strudel, as in the first case.

The ends of the roll are snugly fastened and tucked.

We transfer the strudel by means of a towel to a baking tray, we lubricate both rolls with melted butter

And send it to a preheated oven to 200 ° C (392 ° F) until cooked.

After 40 minutes, our Viennese apple strudels are ready.

We give them a little cool, cut and sprinkled with powdered sugar.

Serve strudel in a warm form with a ball of ice cream.

So, my friends, I showed you 2 ways to prepare the Viennese strudel.

To taste they are no different, but I like the second way of cooking, it better keeps the shape, it is easier to cut and more beautiful on the cut.

Dough in strudel is thin, layered and crispy.

The filling is very tasty, aromatic, and tender, while the dough does not deform, just such a stuffing is famous for a real Viennese strudel.
