hi YouTube Ricky here from Tech Talk and
today is my favorite video that I do
like to do on all of my devices I get to
review so today this is the LG G 6 and
today I want to go through the
accessibility features so this is going
through all the different features that
you can change and adapt on this phone
to make it easier for people with a
disability or an impairment to actually
use these great smart phones that these
companies do mate so for myself if
you're new to the channel I actually
have a vision impairment I can't see I'm
registered blind so I look at these
devices in a very different way compared
to other youtubers and I like to bring
this video to show which feature is on
which device so first of all let's get
into the accessibility features on the
LG G 6 so what you need to do is tap the
gear icon then you need to go into
general which we're already on then you
need to find in here notch and called
accessibility do this one here so inside
here it's repper ated into three
different sections we've got vision
hearing motor and cognition festival
let's go into vision as this is key to
myself so inside vision as you can see
maybe already the text is actually
already big and there is so many
different options also we can hit bold
text here it makes it easier for me to
read so starting from the top we have
talk back so talkback is a feature where
it will describe everything that's on
your device so let's go and check this
out turn on an accept talkback on
talkback is a screen reader primarily
for people with blindness and low vision
it allows interaction with the device
using spoken feedback accessibility
tutorial talkback tutorial showing items
1 2 3 & 5 lesson 1 basic navigation part
1 explore by touch so as you could have
heard it's going through and giving you
a tutorial and a lesson on how to use
talkback which is a fantastic feature if
you do need this it is improving every
year it's fantastic the Google included
in their latest software also inside
here you can see you control your calls
and passwords as well that was taught
back and as a great feature it's one of
the features that I use quite a lot
so the next one is message and call
voice notifications
you've got font sizes if we just go into
font size see I've got it set on
extra-large and it goes out huge as well
which is fantastic we have bold text
which is already turned on
you've got display size which is a new
feature that I have come across inside
here you can see the applications are
set as a preset you can also have them
larger or you can have them in the
middle we can even have them smaller
it's up to you it's your choice make
sure you go and check out that one and
change it to however you need to the
next option
underneath is touch soon so if we toggle
this on one two three three quick taps
brings up a window that then you can
even magnify in even more well just move
around the device one two three will
take you back
underneath that you have Windows ink you
can have this on and then you have a
permanent window that can then be moved
around as well there's a little toggle
to move that window around while we're
in on you have large mouse pointer high
contrast screen as you can see we've got
negative colors your screen color
inversion let's flip the colors around
got screen color adjustment you've got
greyscale this will take it all down to
a grayscale for you and you've got end
calls with the power key which we
remember is at the back so for vision
remember - just one section it's really
a good amount of settings there to help
you use this fantastic great device from
LG so if we move on to hearing now you
have captions and this will give you
captions around a video or what's on
your device you have flash alerts so the
LED flash and the back will flash when a
message come through when an excitation
comes through and also when a call comes
through you've got the option to mute
all sounds underneath that you have
audio channel where you can have stereo
or mono and also you have sound balance
you can ever coming out the left side or
the right hand side again it's nice to
see there is a good amount of settings
in there moving into motor and cognition
inside here we have touch assist touch
input a physical
keyboard can be used and also mouse
click touch and hold for cool then you
have screen timeout so if you're looking
to keep your display awake and you don't
want it to go to sleep all the time it's
inside here and you can set it to the
maximum of 15 minutes and you've got
touch control areas down there at the
bottom also in the settings area here
you have access ability features
shortcuts so you can add a shortcut to
your home screen or auto screen rotate
which is already on so if we just flip
the device around like so it's working
nice and easy and we have switch access
down there at the bottom so the switches
can give you different access points
it's great to see like a big bank like
LG and Google are in partnership to
bring in the software that is needed for
people with a disablement or visual
impairment such as myself to use these
great devices I'm really thankful that
you do get to use these phones and I do
appreciate the videos and reviews that I
can bring you because of these features
I have to turn them on when I'm testing
out the devices and using them it's
great to see that they're always on here
