Hello boys and girls, young and old. Welcome to yet another action figure video review.
Today we'll take a look at Transformers The Last Knight Premier Edition Bumblebee!
And as you can see, Bumblebee comes with a medium box. You see him here in his robot mode.
A nice artwork of Bumblebee over here that continues until the side of the box.
On the other side of the box, a nice image of Bumblebee in his robot mode.
On the top side of the box you see Bumblebee, Optimus Prime and Drift.
Nothing special on the bottom side of the box.
And on the back side of the box you see Bumblebee in both of his modes.
Also, you see that Decepticon Berserker and Dinobot Slash are available from this wave.
Enough with the box, let's see the accessories of the figure.
Bumblebee comes with the instructions, here they are.
Reverse transformation on the other side of the instructions.
So let's see the figure from close now.
And here we have, ladies and gentlemen, The Last Knight Bumblebee in his vehicle mode.
This Bumblebee is a repaint of the Age Of Extinction version. This is the new version of Bumblebee.
He will look like this in the upcoming movie The Last Knight.
The vehicle mode is nice, I like it a lot.
I don't find any serious drawback on the vehicle mode except of these gaps because nothing tabs securely.
That's the only drawback I could find about his vehicle mode, other than that it's a good looking vehicle mode.
As for his paint apps, there is light blue on his headlights. Black paint on the front of the car.
There is a sculpted Chevy logo over here. Black paint on the hood. Black paint on the roof.
Black paint on the trunk as well. There is a black stripe that goes until here.
Black rims. Red paint on the rear lights. License plate. It's nice. This is his bottom side.
In point of fact you see his robot mode. And as you can see this is his weapon storage.
And as you can see, his weapons don't affect the vehicle from rolling smoothly!
Let me take them out.
So here they are. We will see them in the robot mode as well, I will show you where to store them.
So let's see a size comparison now.
Here he is next to movie Sideways. As you understand, Bumblebee is a deluxe class figure.
So let's transform Bumblebee into his robot mode. His transformation is very simple I would say.
First, pull his arms out, like this.
Disconnect this piece from here. Bring these pieces up, like this.
Close the windows inwards. Rotate these pieces downwards.
Open Bumblebee's chest. Bring this piece down and put it in here. And then, close the chest again.
Rotate these pieces to the wheels. Fold his legs out.
Close these pieces. Rotate the wheels inwards, like this.
Finally, rotate his legs to the other side. And Bumblebee is ready in his robot mode.
I have mixed feelings about his robot mode.
It's not bad, just we have seen better designs of him in the past.
The mold doesn't have any problems, it's a sturdy figure, no stability issues.
Just we have seen better designs of Bumblebee in the past. Also, he lacks a lot of paint apps.
He has his main colours yellow and black. He has some silver paint on his crotch.
On his chest as well. And also on his face. I will zoom in to see it better.
His face has nice sculpted details. I like that they gave him blue eyes.
He also has a tiny Autobot symbol over here. Nice details on his face!
Bumblebee has his battle-mask also. You just bring it down, like this.
His head is so small that it makes it difficult to bring the mask down. :P
And it looks like this. Ok, nothing special.
Another feature that he has is that if you open this panel here, rotate the arm like this, he has his cannon-arm!
He has this cannon-arm in the movies as well. Nice feature!
As for his weapons, he can hold them.
Or you can store them in this hole if you want. And it will look like this.
Personally, I prefer to have them here on his back.
Now, as for his articulation...his head is on a ball-joint so it can move up and down, it can rotate 360 degrees.
His arms can rotate 360 degrees as well. You can use this joint here to move the shoulder up and down.
Also, the arm can move up and down. It can bend at the elbow. It can rotate at the elbow.
Nothing at the wrist. Nothing at the waist as well. The legs can move back and forth, up and down.
They rotate at the thighs, they bend at two points, here at this joint and on the foot due to the transformation.
He has nice articulation, not bad at all! So let's see a size comparison now.
Here he is next to a voyager class figure, The Last Knight Grimlock.
Here he is next to a legends class figure, Combiner Wars Powerglide.
And here he is next to a deluxe class figure, Dark Of The Moon Wheeljack.
As you understood, Bumblebee is a deluxe class figure.
And here he is next to other versions of himself.
Human Alliance Bumblebee, United Bumblebee and Masterpiece Bumblebee.
So let's transform Bumblebee back into his vehicle mode. First, rotate the legs to the other side.
Bring these pieces up. Rotate the wheels to the sides.
Fold the legs upwards, like this.
Rotate these panels in this direction.
You are supposed to connect them now but as you can see they don't stay together.
Bring these bits down, connect them like this. These pegs here will connect with these holes here.
These pieces here must be out, like this.
Bring the windows up. Rotate these pieces up.
And now we will connect these pieces with the rest part of the car.
Or, before we do this, open his chest, take this piece out, close the chest again.
And now we can connect these pieces.
As you can see everything disconnects if you're messing with the figure.
And as I said before this is the biggest issue of the figure.
Squeeze everything gently to ensure that everything is in its right place.
He rolls fine! And Bumblebee is back into his vehicle mode!
Final thoughts... I liked his vehicle mode very much but he has this big issue that nothing tabs securely.
As for his robot mode, I didn't find any issues with it, it's a sturdy figure,
easy transformation, normal articulation, just it lacks of paint apps.
Surely we have seen better designs of Bumblebee in the past but I am sure the kids will love this figure.
