Un dia en Tamsui y Beitou - Travel with Glow - Duration: 9:01.

Hi Travellers!!

Welcome one more day to my channel!

Today, we are gonna spend the day in the north of Taiwan to Beitou

but first we took the train to see Tamsui!

I have just arrived to Tamsui

and in the station, here, they gave me a very big map

that shows every interesting place.

I gonna go walking,

although it is sparking, it is not cold.

I am gonna walk cause the furthest place is only 40 min away.

So let's start the day!

It always shocked me when I am walking in the street

and found out small temples.

Next to the station, there is the Old Street where they set the market

As it was early, you could very fresh products.

You are walking in the market and so the bikes

so you have to dodge them.

This is the most typical food in Tamsui.

It is salty boiled eggs.

It is boiled a lot of times so it gets dark.

These shop has some kind of award.

After the market, I followed the street to Tamsui's river mouth.

I have arrived to the port!

Follow the main street and just turn in any left alley, you will arrive to the port.

You can take a ferry to go to the other side for 100 dollars both ways.

Although I didn't have that much time and the weather was not good to be in a boat.

Woah, listen to how many birds are inside that are so noisy!

Back in the street, I saw Dr Mackay statue

He was a missionary that introduced equal and public education in Taiwan

and establish the Oxford College, we will see later.

I am starting to suffer for my life

because this is not funny!

The streets have no sidewalk

or the small sidewalk that have is to park bikes

and it got me pissed cause I am a person and need to walk!

Really, where is the sidewalk, please?

Someone tell me because if this is a sidewalk

and there is a streetlight and two bikes

I can't get through and I need to walk.

Here is where I wanted to get.

Walking straight is Santo Domingo's Fort and Little White House

and going up is the Aletheia University that I will go later.

It is only 10 minutes walking.

Santo Domingo's Fort finally!!

This is the entrance and I have to buy the ticket.

The ticket is 80 dollars and you can see more things too.

You can pay with easycard or cash and this is my ticket.

This are the stairs to go up.

This is the fort of my Spanish friends with their flag.

In the interior, there are explanatory panels,

objects from that time and a funny game.

In this part, there is nothing remarkable.

From the Fort you can go walking to the White House.

It has very nice and careful gardens to walk around and rest in the sunny days.

and inside shows how it was at the begging of the XX century.

The last historical building I saw was only 5 minutes away

and it is the Aletheia University established in 1882

and with a very big campus.

Don't tell it is not beautiful the campus' map?

I was walking around the campus

and I even entered in the Education building and saw a private organ concert.

To rest from so many history, I went to the Fisherman's Wharf

to enjoy the views.

I am here enjoying the view cause it relaxed me to look at water.

There's no one, it has stopped raining

and I have to admit that cloudy days are charming,

the light is so much better than the sunny days,

and I am thinking about everything and nothing at the same time, enjoying and relaxing.

After lunch, I went back to the MRT to go to the next destination: Beitou.

When you arrive to Beitou's station you have to take another line that takes you to the city center.

The way takes only 2 min and goes really slowly it is worth while

because the cabin is decorated with interactive paintings and traditional wood bath tubs.

When you go out of the MRT everything is indicated.

Jus in front is Beitou's Park.

This is the famous library that has gotten so many awards for being so sustainable.

It has a beautiful garden with palm trees.

The library is very cozy, everything is made of wood.

It is great to go around, rest or to take cover when bad weather

but is only opens until 5pm.

It has three floors. The two above to read and study

and the basement is the children area.

It has also a balcony with views to a pond.

You can't notice but the water smells and it is hot.

This is the natural thermal water that comes from the river

and there makes a small waterfall.

I don't know if you can notice the steam that comes...

Can you see it?

Woah... I am so excited!!!

This is the entry of the Thermal Valley and all around there are hotels.

Actually, the water is super transparent!!

You can see the floor

These are the Public Hotsprings

It cost 40 for adults and 20 for students

and I am the last one...

The session last 2h, you have to leave your things inside a looker

and then only enjoy the thermal waters...

Here something great happen to me but I will tell you in another video...

Here ends the video of today very tired and relaxed I took the train back home for only 30 minutes.

I leave all the links in the info box.

I like me better when I'm with you

Love who you made me, made me

I like me, I like me

I like me better when I'm with you

I like me better when

I stayed for a long time cause

I knew from the first time

I like me better when I'm with you

I like me better when I'm with you

Lay here with me

Stay here with me

Stay awhile, stay awhile

Stay awhile, stay awhile, oh

Stay here with me

Stay awhile, stay awhile

I like me better when I'm with you

I like me better when

I stayed for a long time cause

I knew from the first time

I like me better when I'm with you

Damn, I like me better when I'm with you

I might have to tell you something

I might get to too much talking

If we lay, let the dangers pass us by

swear the room, yeah, got no ceiling

Waking up in this bed next to you

I don't know what it is but I got that feeling

I like me better when I'm with you

I like me better when

I stayed for a long time cause

I knew from the first time

I like me better when I'm with you

Damn, I like me better when I'm with you

burning through the hours talking

And not into morning coffee

To be drunk and in love in New York City

That I'm good long as you're here with me

Do not know who I am but still know

To be young and in love in New York City

Reading Wrap Up | May 2017 + Baileys Prize Shortlist Chat! Ad - Duration: 10:33.

Hi everyone, its Lauren and welcome to

part 1 of my reading wrap-up for the

month of May. I'm very pleased to say

that I have been working with the

Bailey's Women's Prize for Fiction again

this year which means I have been

reading and I'm going to review all of

the shortlisted books, and then also me

and Jen and Jean are going to be doing a

video all together in the next couple of

weeks where we discuss all of our

different reactions to the shortlisted

books, which our favorites are and which

one we think is going to win. So I've

already read three of the shortslisted

books which is First Love, Do Not Say We

Have Nothing and Stay With Me so if

you'd like to see my reviews of those I

will leave links to those videos in the

description box below, and then this

video we're going to get onto the next

three in the short list and I'm also

going to be discussing my favorites and

who I think is going to win, or who I'd

like to win anyway! So the first book

that I finished this month was The Dark

Circle by Linda Grant. This is about two

twins in post-war East End of London

Lenny and Miriam who contract TB and

with the opening of the new NHS, the National

Health Service, they are now able to go

to a sanatorium down in Kent I think

to rest their lungs and hopefully get

better although it was a disease that

people didn't really know very much

about at the time. So this is about their

journey, about them taking a break from

their lives essentially and going down

somewhere completely different and all

of the different characters that they

meet, the different people who are in

this sanatorium and how this experience

then affects their lives going forward

I'm really, really unsure about this book

I really loved the characters in it and

I thought they were really interesting

and I liked learning about all the

different people that were in the

sanatorium, for example someone who had

survived the Holocaust, but I did just

come away from it feeling a bit 'so what?'

I don't really know what the point of

this book was - if you can't say that any

book has a point! I did feel like it was

interesting while they were in the

sanatorium but I didn't really feel...I

didn't really know what she was trying to

say with it. It felt like this would be

interesting if it was someone's real

life and it was just - this was a period

of my life where I had TB and I went to

sanatorium...then it'd be interesting but

as fiction and as a plot as a novel I

wasn't sure...I didn't really get why?

However I do think I'm in the minority

here with this opinion because a lot of

people I know really, really enjoyed this

book so I'm going to find it really

interesting to discuss this with the

other guys once everyone's read

everything

and to get our opinions because like I

say, it wasn't a bad book, I enjoyed it

while I was reading it and I enjoyed the

characters but I just felt it didn't

move me at the end I didn't and put it

down thinking 'wow, that was fantastic' and

I'm being especially critical here with

all of these books because it's on a

shortlist for a literary prize. I'm not

just going 'oh that was an OK book, I

enjoyed it' I'm trying to be really

really picky because if you're trying to

judge a book it's not just whether you

liked it or not, you're also judging it

in comparison with the other books on

the shortlist so bear that in mind. I'm

being a big extra..scrutinable?

scrutinizing? Then the next book

that I really enjoyed in the month May

was The Power by Naomi alderman. This is

a dystopian, not-too-distant future kind

of book. Naomi is a mentee of Margaret

Atwood and you can really see Atwood's

influences in this book, it feels very

similar to Oryx and Crake and The Year of

the Flood, those Maddaddam books

because this is multiple perspectives

and it's just told, it's really

imaginative but also you could

believe that this could happen. The

premise of this book is that one day a

few young girls realize that they have

this electric charge and it is revealed

that throughout the generations women

have been developing this skein in their

skin which allows them to generate

electricity which then kind of flips the

whole social structure on its head

because suddenly women are more powerful

stronger in a physical sense than men

and this takes a look of what would

happen to our social structures and

hierarchies if that were the case. We

follow a number of different women

mostly from the UK and the U.S. to be

fair but she also does examine what

would happen in say Moldova if this were

the case? What would happen in Saudi

Arabia? How are different power

structures going to be changed? And not

only was it interesting but it's

actually really exhilarating, so readable

I absolutely raced through it and wanted

to know what was going to happen. She's

also got that kind of macro view of

what's happening in society as well as

what's happening to the individual so I

really really enjoyed it. Being very

picky again, this is structured in the

sense that there are some

letters at the beginning and the end of

the book and there are some pictures of

artifacts

of the book which gives the impression

that this is a historical novel being

written by someone in the distant future

and they're looking back on the time

when this shift happened and although I

really liked that idea, I just don't know

if this book needed it to be honest and

especially the bits of the different

archaeological finds in the middle of

the story I felt that they detracted from

the narrative and...I was quite torn by it

actually because I like I like the idea

I just don't know if actually added

anything to the work itself

So quite interesting there, overall

really really enjoyed it, definitely be

looking to read some more of her other

work and I really recommend it

especially for like a holiday read

actually this is something you'd

absolutely whizz through. And the last

book that I read on the short list and

that I read and also exists on

the shortlist is The Sport of Kings by C E

Morgan. Now this is about racehorses, it's

not just about racehorses. I am so

conflicted about this novel, this is the

novel that conflicted me absolute the

most on the whole shortlist. So this is

about a rich white family in Kentucky we

mostly follow the story of Henry

from his childhood and his relationship

with his father and then his love of

racehorses and his obsession and then

his relationship with his own daughter

and then in parallel to this family's

kind of the story of their generation we

also have the story of some people who

were related to this family's former

slaves and I think that's perhaps a

detail which actually annoyed me

slightly because it mentions it on the

blurb that it's the white family and the

black family who are descendants of their

slaves, but it's done so subtly in the

book that I almost don't know if it was

necessary, but anyway so you also have

the life of Allmon who is growing up in

Cincinnati I believe and it's his

relationship with his mother and father

and his grandfather and then it all kind

of comes together and towards the middle

when and he goes and works for their

family and helps them with their horses

The themes of this book and what she was

saying in his book I absolutely loved

and thought was so interesting I

particularly liked Allmon's story growing

up I really found interesting

the parallels between Henry's

obsession with white supremacy and also

breeding racehorses and the idea of

breeding something to perfection and

what lengths you would go to in terms of

obsession I thought it was wonderful

that was

really really clever and I really liked

her observations there. I also

thought her writing was beautiful I

think parts of it were absolutely

gorgeous and I really really appreciated

the craft of this novel and how she put it

together. However, it was probably about

in my opinion maybe even 200 pages

too long and there are parts of it which

just went on to the point where I was like

'is is there any need?' for example

you'd have a sermon by somebody and we'd

literally have three or four pages of

the sermon and for me as a reader I'm

like can we get on with the plot please?

So I'd be really interested to hear other

people's opinions on this now that I've

read everything and we can discuss it I

know the Simon at Savidgereads actually

really really enjoyed this and I find it

really interesting how I can really

appreciate and enjoy a novel so much in

one sense but then in the other sense

while I was reading it I was a bit like

I found it dragging and I found it

difficult to want to pick it up

and I found the story very slow and yet

in hindsight now that I finished it I

kind of really appreciate what it was

doing, so it depends what you're reading

a book for, it depends what you think

literature is, are we looking for

something that's very well crafted

something that has a message, something

that's written very beautifully, and how

much does enjoyment and readability of a

novel come into that question? So I just

really don't know, I really enjoyed

reading all of these books from shortlist

actually because they're all so

different from each other and the authors

have taken very different approaches to

their novels and that's what I love

because reading is so subjective it's

not just about what do you want in a

novel it's also what I'm going to enjoy

and what you're going to enjoy is going

to be completely different and

completely subjective so I really find

it interesting that you've got a short

list of such different books and one of

them's got to win! So I think if I were

going on enjoyability and readability

alone my favorite book to read has

definitely been Stay With Me I really

enjoyed it

but for some reason I can't put my

finger on, it I feel like this really you

can really tell this is a debut and not

because it isn't good or isn't very well

crafted but I just feel like it almost

feels like there's more to her and like

she can write more and I feel like her

next novel is going to be even

better, so really enjoyed that one and also

I really enjoyed

The Power however I have just mentioned

there are a couple of things about it

which I wasn't sure about, but again in

terms of readability, really love those

two. And then if we're going to be

talking about the art of a novel or the

novel as a craft I feel like First Love

it's a really great example of that; it's

such a short book and yet Gwendolyn

Reilly fits so much into it like it's

amazing the topics she manages to cover

compared to the other end of the

spectrum with The Sport of Kings which is

a very very long book, but again so much

is covered and it's so well structured

but my enjoyment wasn't that high for

either of these even though both of them

have stayed with me after the fact, I

didn't love them while I was reading

them. So for me really the only book on

the shortlist which was both enjoyable

and kept me interested the whole way

through and I also really appreciated

the writing and the whole structure and

the craft and of all was Do Not Say We

Have Nothing...so perhaps if it was up to

me this one would win! But even that's

even saying that, just makes me feel I'm

just really not sure, I don't envy the

judges at all! I'm really looking

forward to finding out who the winner is

on the 7th of June I was going to say 8th

that's the day of the election! I will be

at the event So make sure you're

following me on Instagram and Twitter

because I'll probably be tweeting and

Instagram storying at the event. I

probably? I definitely will be knowing me!

and also look out for my discussion with

Jen and Jean as well because we're going

to be arguing I'm sure over who we think

should win the prize. I would love

to hear from all of you if you read any

of these books, what your opinions, and

I think would be great to continue the

discussion so I really hope you enjoyed

this video I really look forward to

hearing your thoughts and I will see you

next time, bye!

Rahm Emanuel Lectures Liberals - Duration: 9:20.

CHICAGO'S MAYOR, RAHM EMANUEL, RECENTLY HAD AN INTERVIEW

WITH POLITICO TO TALK ABOUT THE AFFAIRS HERE IN THE UNITED

STATES, AND HE HAD SOME ADVICE FOR LIBERALS, WHICH IS

REALLY INTERESTING CONSIDERING THE FACT THAT ANYTIME HE

TALKS ABOUT LIBERALS IT SEEMS TO BE NEGATIVE.

HE IS WORRIED, HE THINGS EVERYONE IN WASHINGTON IS TOO

FOCUSED ON THE CRAZY AROUND TRUMP TO SEE WHAT'S

ACTUALLY GOING ON, AND WHAT IS NOT.

I'M GOING TO GET TO HIS SPECIFIC QUOTES, BUT UNDERSTAND THAT THE

JUST OF WHAT HE SAYS IS ABOUT HOW WE SPEND ñ WHEN I SAY WE, I

MEAN LIBERALS IN GENERAL, NOT THE YOUNG TURKS, ALTHOUGH WE'VE

GOTTEN THIS CRITICISM BEFORE ñ THAT WE SPEND TOO MUCH TIME

FOCUSING ON, AND CRITICIZING DONALD TRUMP.

WE SHOULD ñ WE SHOULD FOCUS ON SOME OTHER THINGS, FOR INSTANCE,

THE MIDDLE CLASS AND THE WORKING CLASS, WHICH IS SOMETHING

THAT LIBERALS DO TIME AND TIME AGAIN, AND THEN GET

CRITICIZED BY CENTRIST DEMOCRATS FOR DOING SO.

BEFORE YOU GO ON, IN THAT FIRST QUOTE, I WAS INTRIGUED,

BECAUSE IF YOU ARE A PROGRESSIVE YOU CAN MAKE THE CASE, WE

NEED TO FOCUS ON CUTTING THE WAGES OF THE MIDDLE CLASS

UP; FOCUS ON MIDDLE ñ FOCUS ON THEIR REAL-LIFE ISSUES.

THAT WOULD BE A GREAT POINT TO MAKE.

SO I THOUGHT, DID HE LEARN SOMETHING?

I WOULD NOT AGREE TO NOT TALK ABOUT DONALD TRUMP.

HE'S OUR PRESIDENT, AND HE'S DOING SOMETHING CRAZY EVERY DAY.

DO YOU JUST IGNORE IT?

I THINK WE CAN WALK AND CHEW GUM AT THE SAME TIME.

SO, YEAH, WE CAN ATTACK DONALD TRUMP, AND TELL YOU THAT WE

CAN HAVE FREE COLLEGE EDUCATION FOR KIDS SO THAT WE CAN

HAVE A RIGHT ñ A VIBRANT MIDDLE-CLASS.

$15 MINIMUM WAGE SO THAT PEOPLE CAN BE ABLE TO SUSTAIN

THEIR FAMILIES.

IS THAT THE DIRECTION HE IS GOING TO GO?

LET'S FIND OUT.

HE SAYS THE FOLLOWING: "WE DON'T TALK ABOUT AND FIGHT FOR

THE MIDDLE CLASS LIKE WE ARE.

WE BELIEVE WE ARE FOR THEM, BUT THEY DON'T ñ

IF THEY DON'T HERE WE ARE FOR THEM, THEN WE GOT A PROBLEM.

IT'S NOT JUST FOR THE STRING OF POLICIES, IT'S ALSO A SET

OF VALUES THAT RESPECT TO THEY ARE IN THEIR LIVES.

WE COME OFF, AND CAN COME OFF, AS A PARTY DISDAINFUL OF THEM."

OKAY, SO IN THE BEGINNING IT SOUNDED FINE.

HE IS RIGHT, DEMOCRATIC PARTY POLES WORSE THAN THE REPUBLICAN

PARTY, AND THAT IS UNBELIEVABLE IN THE ERA OF TRUMP.

HE IS UNBELIEVABLY UNPOPULAR, AND SOMEHOW THE DEMOCRATS

ARE EVEN MORE UNPOPULAR.

BECAUSE THEY ARE IGNORING THE MIDDLE-CLASS.

AGAIN, I'M SLIGHTLY ENCOURAGED HERE, BUT THEN HE STARTS

TALKING ABOUT, IT'S NOT ABOUT THE POLICIES.

YEAH, OF COURSE IT IS.

WHETHER THEY HAVE HEALTHCARE OR NOT IS A POLICY ISSUE;

WHETHER THEIR WAGES ARE HIGHER OR NOT HIRE IS A POLICY ISSUE.

HE SAYS WE HAVE TO TALK TO THEM IN A WAY WHERE WE DON'T SOUND

DISDAINFUL TO THEM.

AND IT'S, HERE WE GO.

YOU ARE NOT A DEPLORABLE, YOU ARE NOT IN THE BASKET OF

DEPLORABLE'S, YOU ARE A WONDERFUL HUMAN BEING

LETTERS TO THINK THAT THE SOUTH SHOULD HAVE WON THE CIVIL WAR.

SO CAN YOU PLEASE COME TOWARDS US ANYWAY?

THIS IS THE IDEA OF APPEASING REPUBLICANS, AND THINKING

THEY WILL COME TO YOUR SIDE.

WHICH HAS NEVER, EVER WORKED FOR THE DEMOCRATS IN MY LIFETIME.

LATER ON HE TALKS ABOUT HOW IT'S OKAY TO SUPPORT DEMOCRATS

WHO ARE RUNNING FOR OFFICE, OR REELECTION, WHO HAPPENED TO

BE AGAINST REPRODUCTIVE RIGHTS.

AND I UNDERSTAND THAT BERNIE SANDERS HAS SUPPORTED A

REPRESENTATIVE WHO HAS COME OUT AGAINST THE PRODUCTIVE

RIGHTS, BUT WITH BERNIE SANDERS I BELIEVE THAT IT COMES FROM A

GENUINE PLACE OF, I'M NOT GOING TO AGREE WITH THIS POLITICIAN

ON EVERYTHING, BUT WHEN IT COMES TO THE CORE VALUES OF WHAT

IT MEANS TO BE A PROGRESSIVE, THIS PERSON FOLLOWS SUIT.

WHEN IT COMES TO ECONOMIC JUSTICE, THIS PERSON

FOLLOWS SUIT.

WITH RAHM EMANUEL, HE HAS NEVER STRUCK ME AS A PROGRESSIVE,

OR SOMEONE WHO HAS CARED ABOUT LIBERALS, OR THE WORKING CLASS.

HE HAS BEEN IN SOME OF THE MOST POWERFUL POSITIONS

IMAGINABLE, AND WHAT HAS HE DONE?

HE TALKS ABOUT HOW IT'S NOT ABOUT THE POLICIES, BUT IT IS

100% ABOUT THE POLICIES.

THAT'S WHY DURING THIS LAST ELECTION, SO WE PEOPLE WERE

FRUSTRATED WITH THE PANDERING THAT WE EXPERIENCED FROM

SOME OF THESE POLITICIANS.

HILLARY CLINTON BEING ONE OF THEM.

WE DON'T CARE ABOUT THE HOT SAUCE IN YOUR BAG, WE CARE ABOUT

WHAT YOU ARE GOING TO DO FOR THE WORKING-CLASS AND MIDDLE-CLASS.

I WANT TO TALK ABOUT THAT MELLO ENDORSEMENT FOR A LITTLE BIT.

THAT GUY IS RUNNING IN OMAHA, NEBRASKA.

HE DOESN'T AGREE WITH US ON PRO-CHOICE ISSUES, AND THAT

IS DEVASTATING.

THAT'S WHY WHEN THE PRESS ASKS ME, FOR INSTANCE, ABOUT THE

JUSTICE DEMOCRATS, WE SAY ONE OF THE THINGS OUT OF OUR PLATFORM ñ

OF ALL THE THINGS ON OUR PLATFORM, ONLY ONE IS NOT

NEGOTIABLE: YOU CAN'T BE CORRUPT.

YOU WANT TO TAKE MONEY ñ ONE ALLOWED TO TAKE MONEY ñ YOU ARE

NOT ALLOWED TO TAKE MONEY.

WE WOULD LIKE EVERYONE TO AGREE WITH ALL OF OUR PLATFORM,

BUT I UNDERSTAND YOU ARE RUNNING IN DIFFERENT PLACES.

IT TURNS OUT THAT RAHM EMANUEL IS NOT TALKING ABOUT THAT,

HE IS TALK ABOUT BEING MORE CENTRIST.

SO WHAT IS LEFT IS RUNNING TO THE RIGHT.

THAT IS EXACTLY RIGHT, AND IT IS FUNNY BECAUSE THE MAIN

COULD ASSIST HIM HERE WAS, LIBERALS ARE WASTING TOO

MUCH TIME FOCUSING ON DONALD TRUMP AND THEY NEED TO

ADDRESS THE MIDDLE-CLASS.

AND THEN FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE INTERVIEW, THE ONLY THING HE

TALKED ABOUT WAS TRUMP.

LETTY GIVE YOU AN EXAMPLE: "HE'S ATTACKED ATLANTA, PHILADELPHIA,

NEW YORK, HE'S ATTACKED THE GANGS THERE.

HE'S ATTACKED CHICAGO.

I NOTICE HE NEVER ATTACKED SUBURBAN OR RURAL AREAS FOR

THEIR OPIATE CRISIS.

HE TALKS ABOUT HOW TO SOLVE THOSE PROBLEMS.

YOU HAVE A HUGE OPIATE CRISIS IN THE SUBURBS, MASSIVE OPIATE

HEROIN CRISIS.

NOW, THERE, THEY DON'T GET STEREOTYPED OR CRITICIZED ñ

CHARACTERIZED, THEY GET EMPATHY."

YEAH, THAT'S THE TYPE OF STUFF WE CRITICIZE HIM FOR TOO,

BECAUSE HE'S THE PRESIDENT AND DESERVES TO BE CRITICIZED

WHEN HE DOES SOMETHING WRONG.

I FELT LIKE CAME ACROSS AS DISINGENUOUS, AND IT IS

INTERESTING TO HEAR A CENTRIST TELL LIBERALS HOW THEY NEED

TO ACT IN ORDER TO APPEAL TO PEOPLE.

YOU APPEAL TO PEOPLE BY SHOWING THAT YOU ACTUALLY

UNDERSTAND THEIR ISSUES, AND WANT TO FIX THOSE ISSUES.

AND YOU WANT TO FIGHT FOR THOSE CHANGES.

YOU HAVE TO UNDERSTAND THE CONTEXT, THIS IS NOT THE FIRST

TIME WE HAVE HEARD OF RAHM EMANUEL.

WHEN HE WAS CHIEF OF STAFF FOR OBAMA, HE FAMOUSLY TOLD A ROOM

FULL OF PROGRESSIVES THAT THEY WERE F-ING RETARDED FOR

BEING LIBERAL.

ON THE POLICY POSITIONS, ALMOST ALL 23 PLANKS, FOR EXAMPLE IN

THE JUSTICE DEMOCRAT PLATFORM, POLLS AT 60% OR BETTER.

YOU ALREADY HAVE THE MODERATES AND THE INDEPENDENCE IF YOU

ALREADY WENT WITH THE ñ

IF YOU ACTUALLY WENT WITH THE POLICIES WE ARE TALKING ABOUT.

EXPANDING SOCIAL SECURITY, FREE COLLEGE EDUCATION,

IMMIGRATION REFORM, ETC.Ö ALL PULL THAT OVER 60%.

THE ISSUE IS NOT GETTING MODERATES ON OUR SIDE, THE ISSUE

IS THAT HE DOESN'T WANT TO DO THOSE THINGS BECAUSE THE

DEMOCRATIC DONORS DON'T WANT HIM TO DO THAT.

OF COURSE HE IS THE MAYOR OF CHICAGO, WHICH IS A CITY

THAT GETS ATTACKED, SO THAT'S FAIR, HE DOESN'T WANT TO

TALK ABOUT POLICIES, EVEN THOUGH POLICIES WOULD GET YOU THE

MODERATES YOU ARE LOOKING FOR.

BUT HE'S NOT LOOKING FOR MODERATES, HE'S LOOKING TO

TRICK THE VOTERS, AND PLEASE THE DONORS.

SO BY THE END OF THE DAY, IT TURNS OUT IT'S THE SAME OLD

RAHM EMANUEL, DOING THE SAME OLD TRICKS.

IN OTHER WORDS, DON'T FIGHT FOR PROGRESSIVE POSITIONS.

TALKING TO OURSELVES, AND PROCEEDING ñ

PERSUADING OURSELVES, MEANING FIGHTING FOR PROGRESSIVE

ISSUES IS NOT THE WAY TO GO.

HE SAYS YOU HAVE TO GET A MAJORITY, WHICH IS CODE

WORD FOR GO FURTHER RIGHT TO GET RIGHT-WING VOTERS.

AS IF THE COUNTRY HASN'T GONE RIGHT AND OFF, RIGHT?

YEAH, AND THAT IS A LOSER, LOSER STRATEGY, BECAUSE WHEN YOU SAY

THAT YOU'RE REPUBLICAN LIGHT, THE ELECTORATE SAYS, WHY

DON'T I GO FOR THE REAL REPUBLICAN?

YOU JUST TOLD ME THEY ARE RIGHT, OKAY, I'LL GO VOTE FOR THEM

AND NOT FOR YOU.

WHY WOULD A VOTE FOR YOU AFTER YOU UNDERMINED YOUR OWN

POLICY POSITIONS?

IN FACT, YOU DID THAT SO MUCH, I'LL EVEN VOTE FOR A GUY WHO WAS

PULLING AT 37% AT THE NIGHT OF THE ELECTION.

A GUY WHO IS A COMPLETELY INCOMPETENT MONSTER, BECAUSE YOU

TOLD ME THAT YOU DON'T BELIEVE IN YOUR OWN POSITIONS AND THAT I

SHOULD VOTE REPUBLICAN.

SO I DID, AND RAHM EMANUEL HASN'T LEARNED A THING.

SAME OLD CORPORATE STRATEGY FROM CORPORATE DEMOCRATS.

New Teaser of POPGOES 2: The Dead Forest! - Fangame Five Nights at Freddy's [PL/ENG} - Duration: 7:18.

Hello, Ponguj's here, and today I wanted to discuss recently released new teasers and information from the upcoming POPGOES 2!

Hope you'll enjoy!

We have four different things I wanted to talk about.

At first, a short one regarding POPGOES Arcade 2. Hidden stuff on the ending screen are no longer canon because of lore changes, now it's nothing important.

Secondly - we've got a new teaser yesterday, introducing Blake with the title "Everything you can do, I can do better".

Upon brightening, we can see a small text saying "Heartless" in the right-bottom corner.

On this teaser, we can see broken Blake from POPGOES 1, we can clearly see, he was attacked, he didn't rot, or wither, it's easy to notice huge cuts on his head, supposedly done by sharp claws.

He has other damage on his whole body, missing part of the left leg, missing the right hand, it seems, and a hole in his belly. To walk properly, he has to use a rail next to him.

The whole location is really intriguing, it's difficult to say, what this place is.

It looks like some old, underground hallway, we can see a red arrow on the wall on the right, some pipes, megaphone, other stuff,

and this place is for some reason used as some storage, we can see windows on the right, some box and cans on the left, on the left wall, there are plans of The Popgoes Pizzeria and 3D printer.

We can also see broken glass on the ground and a vent shaft.

I really wonder, was all of this earlier, that Fritz brought it here and left, that it's his place, or maybe everything was brought here be Simon, not sure, hard to say.

Some say that it's some underground part of the Popgoes Pizzeria, but I'm not sure, it would be weird IMO.

The text, "Everything you can do, I can do better." is really interesting too. Remember, that in the first game, Blake's mechanics consisted of playing Simon Says with him.

We were repeating the screen colour. Now, this sentence, if it refers to Blake, because we can't be 100% sure about that, may suggest, that the whole concept will be expanded,

with the difference, that Blake will be repeating after us, not the other way, and he will try to do it better, than us.

Of course, the whole quote may have a different meaning, the first thing I can think of is the comparison of Popgoes and Epitome animatronics,

the new ones from the idea and name are supposed to be "perfect form, precise image" of these characters, so in some way, it may be Simon saying, that his robots are better.

Thirdly - We've got a new source code, this time it's something big!

It looks and sounds like something, Fritz would leave to Strings as one of the phone record options,

it seems to be Fritz and it makes sense, as he explains how animatronics works, mechanisms he created.

He focuses on two systems, he calls Mind and Heart. The Mind is the same to all the animatronics, but every one of them has an individual Heart, that is connected to WeaselWare,

the system Fritz created, and from this place, he was able to control all the animatronics, update their Hearts if it was needed.

The Mind mainly focused on self-preservation, survival, if one of the animatronics was damaged, for example, if he has lost his hand, he will try to get to the previous form by printing a new one. but what's important in this whole description,

Fritz says about the situation when the Heart is missing or damaged. Then, the self-preservation mechanisms take another form, and an animatronic gets angry.

And that's pretty interesting motive regarding what went wrong, and how the safe, kid-friendly animatronics, unable to hurt anybody, becomes a threat.

About the Mind and Heart, I think that the Mind is just some basic software, that works with a few different things, like survival,

it all focus on imitating life, creating a computer equivalent of a living organism.

Meanwhile, the Heart is something way different - it's a personality of this animatronic. Each of them has different, own heart, what makes Popgoes be an entertainer on the stage, and Blake - a mechanic.

Heart gives them a reason, guide what to do, etc. Without a Heart, they are just empty shells without a purpose, and the only thing they will do is to survive, repair themselves, work properly.

When an animatronic has no Heart, he does it, whatever the cost is, making them dangerous.

Blake's teaser gives us the name "Heartless". It suggests us, that this exact animatronic, broken Blake is Heartless Blake, who, as we see by his broken chest, lost his Heart.

It's really an interesting concept of animatronics, and what happened to them. It seems that, when Simon freed himself, he destroyed the Popgoes Animatronics.

He may have accidentally left them, unaware that they have survived, and now with damaged hearts, they are trying to get revenge, BUT

it's also possible, that he intentionally took their Hearts to his own goals, to the creation of Epitome Animatronics, aware or not of the consequences.

It's really an interesting topic to think about.

The first source code message said "Cold, metal forest of hearts and minds".

Now, when we know what the Hearts and Minds are, we can understand this sentence a little more.

At first, I thought it may tell about victims or maybe memories, only things I could think about, but now we know it refers to the animatronic mechanisms. That's really cool.

POPGOES 2 may be a confrontation between Minds - Popgoes Animatronics, who has lost their Hearts, and now they are trying to regain their lost parts, it may be just legs, hands, etc. but it may be about getting their Hearts back too,

and between Hearts - Epitome Animatronics.

After all, the source code says, the Hearts are connected to WeaselWare, which gives Simon a possibility to control these animatronics, they are Mindless servants to him, that's really interesting.

Fourthly and lastly - we've got the new title of the game, it's: "POPGOES 2: The Dead Forest" now.

I'm not 100 percent sure what does that mean, but there are already plenty of references to the forest.

"Cold, metal FOREST of hearts and minds"

"Things are changing down here. A FOREST grows."

Also, something pointed out to me, that Fritz Glade - Glade is an open place inside of the forest, and it would mean anything, it could suggest that everything around Fritz Glade, around a glade, ergo the forest has died.

I don't know, that interesting to think about.

Meanwhile, that's everything I could think of about this teaser, I don't have any more theories for now, but that's for sure really interesting content to think about.

Thank you for watching, don't forget to leave your theory in a comment, even in English, and see you soon in the next episodes! Bye!

Multi Anime Opening - Peace Sign (English Cover) by NateWantsToBattle - Duration: 1:25.

English Cover Version - Nathan Sharp (NateWantsToBattle)

One day I set my eyes up to the sky

And like a plane, my dreams were passing by

And I awoke to tears that had filled my eyes,

I need to spread my wings out and fly

I lie awake at night with these memories

of feeling powerless and they're haunting me

I'm always reaching out for this destiny

to make it happen, that's all on me

Cruel fate sets in motion and no one else knows why

Waiting for the day to come, when will it show up

Claiming what's before my eyes

With every issue, I gotta breathe through

Or the moment might just pass

They all told me I can't, there were laughing

Well look who's laughing now

Now I can feel the fire burning deep within me

I'll be the hero and no one can stop me

Loudly, I will scream it from the top of my lungs

You've got those tired eyes from crying every moment

You cannot hide it, someone's gonna notice

I'll be your hero, no one's gonna hurt you again

Gonna raise my hand with a peace sign

Our story will last forever!

Sweater Over The Shoulders. Jumper Over The Shoulders. How To Wear it? What to Avoid? Who is it for? - Duration: 3:11.

it's hot in here Oh what how do I wear I

don't want to carry it out like what do I?

how do I carry this

Hi it is Michael from Men's Finest it and in this

video we are talking about what to do it

is sweater when it's getting too hot and

you've got nowhere to put it make sure

you click that subscribe button so those

videos can come directly to you now

let's talk about sweater and what to do

with them it occurred to me at time how

hard it is to wear a sweater over your

shoulders and that's what this video is

going to be about. Elegance, grace,

sprezzatura <click here> all involve the

idea of appearing at ease and unforced

so a key problem with wearing a sweater

over your shoulder is that it attracts

attention it appears too deliberately well

how so how do I avoid this well the

easiest option is to wear it most

naturally as if you don't care as if

you're at ease so let me just show you

how I would do it if it's too hot all

you have to do is go over like that and

then take it slightly to the side and

then do it such like that so it doesn't

actually then and get the attention as

if it's all neatly and nicely done on

your shoulder it rest on your shoulders

well anything like that it's just it's

just as if you don't care but you

obviously found that before and you

thought about this before and it's so

not deliberate it also helps when a

knitwear is is thinner because it sort

of blends in into your shirt as well

ideally you wouldn't want it to stand

out from colors to colors like this but

that's okay because you've watched the

color video you know that these two

colors are okay. you know whether we like

it or not our ideas of style are

influenced by what we see and in others

you know what others are wearing we've

got an Instagram and Pinterest

and we can just watch what other people

are doing a sweater over the shoulders

is associated by many rightly or wrongly

you know with the upper class

thank you

so much for watching I hope you enjoy

this sweater over the shoulder video

super short, super helpful I hope you

liked it see you next time

Temazcal And Tulum Archeological Site - Duration: 1:55.

Temazcal which is a ceremony, religious ceremony, they used to use for the warriors, the Maya

warriors, to give them energy to make them healthy.

It begins when you use this... big shell, to call the god wind.

It's the place where they give the offrands and the food, the shells, and everything they

want to give to the gods, put it there.

Then you do all the track with the 4 points, the 4 cardinal points : west east, north, south.

And then you go the house.

The mother earth, and you sweat, you sweat, you sweat.

And then you go to the cenote and you refresh yourself.

This fifth day in the southeast of Mexico, we went to Tulum.

Tulum is well known because it is a very well conserved site and it is next to the sea!

Literally next to the sea!

The good point with the sea is the wind which refresh you.

It's very very warm here, about 40 degrees!

Without the wind, we'd be suffocating.

Tulum was a Maya observatory, I guess to observe the stars.

It's sad to think that this culture and its knowledge was destroyed...

Thank you for watching!

Love you

Endless Smile by Dada Life Review - Duration: 6:16.

In this video I thought I'd do a quick review of the new «endless smile» plugin from Dada

Life.

This is a one-knob plugin, and on first appearance, it looks very similar to the sausage fattner.

The purpose of this plugin is to make the buildup towards drops easier, by introducing

tension.

I just bought this plugin myself so I haven't had the time to really test it out in a true

production setting yet, but I've been playing around with it slightly and I can definitely

see myself using this in the future.

The plugin itself is extremely simple.

It has just one knob, and seven presets to choose from.

The great thing about this plugin is not what it does or how it does it, but rather how

much simpler it makes things.

In order to make these kinds of effects from scratch, you would normally have to apply

a lot of reverb, delay, saturation, filters, time manipulation and so on.

That would mean a lot of messy automation.

This just makes everything so much simpler.

I was a bit skeptical at first, but I honestly think it sounds much better than I would have

thought!

The presets ranges from smooth to extreme.

Here I have a basic project set up.

It's just looping the same static part over and over.

I'll now go trough all of the presets so you can hear how they affect the sound.

Quite fancy!

It definitely creates tension, which is very important in music.

Typically, you would use this on your master, or on your bus channels, in order to build

up tension towards a drop.

But it can also be used on individual tracks.

Just automate the knob and draw in the automation.

I'm willing to bet that plugin is going to be used in A LOT of tracks in the years

to come.

In a year from now people will probably say it's overused…

But for now, it's brand new and fresh.

If you think this sounds interesting, then you can head over to their website and buy

it.

It's only 39 dollars.

I'll put the link in the description bellow.

Last but not least, I'd like to note that I have not been sponsored in any way to make

this video.

I have bought the plugin myself, and made the review entirely on my own initiative.

Travel Tips For PoTS | Sophie - Duration: 5:18.

Well hello everyone and welcome back to my channel.

Or if you are new, hello welcome to my channel.

My name is Sophie.

So if you have PoTS or you are new to PoTS, you may or may not know that travelling and

flying in particular with PoTS well… they don't tend to mix all that

well.

However, i've just come back from holiday and i did find a few things that really helped

you know control those symptoms a little bit.

so i thought i would share them with you guys today because you know,

sharing is caring.

so lets crack on with the video.

[Intro Music]

So the first thing that i found has helped me

and probably the most important and most helpful is staying hydrated!

It may sound really stupid and really obvious but i know myself,

i'm awful for remembering to drink.

Especially on a plane because i'll stick my headphones in, i'll watch a movie, ill

just be somewhere else.

But honestly staying hydrated makes such a big difference.

So remember to stay hydrated.

So the second thing that i found to be really really helpful

and this is totally thanks to my mum doing all her hours of research that she loves to

do and that is compression socks.

i know that in a lot of people's mind, people are like oo compression socks are for old

people.

No.

No.

They make a huge difference.

they help to make sure that the blood doesn't all go down to your feet and pool at the bottom.

It helps to keep that circulation going.

Honestly, you can get some cool ones now.

They're not all ugly like hospital looking ones.

You can get some cool ones.

I can't remember the site my mum got these from, but i will ask her and leave the link

to it in the description box below.

they are so worth it.

You can get different like tightnesses, you can get different patterns,

different lengths sock, you can get knee length, thigh length that

kind of thing.

So the third tip is one of those tips that hopefully you won't need

and won't necessarily need but it's good to have there just in case

you do have a bad funny turn. and that is ….

salty snacks! if you are having a funny turn the salt can

help regulate the blood pressure back out.

i'm not really to sure the ins and outs but i know it does work.

i got a big old bag of crisps and i had them in my hand luggage just in case i had a bad

enough turn that i felt i need i needed one.

i probably could have used them when i did have a couple of funny turns

but i am stubborn, and i like to push through

basically.

[laughs]

So the fourth tip that i have for you guys is special assistance.

now i personally found that something about the landing and coming down

really seemed to set off my symptoms more than the rest of the journey.

it seemed to really make me feel lightheaded, get a headache,

it set my ear pain off and my hearing just was worse than usual.

And so i would not have been able to get from the plane all the way through security to

baggage to a taxi.

I was too unsteady on my feet, my head was spinning, i had a head ache

i didn't feel good and wouldn't have been able to do it.

so having that wheelchair at the door of the aeroplane to take me through all of those

processes without that, i..

i would have been crawling all the way through through airport.

So tip number five is keep moving.

I think it's safe to say and i can speak probably 99.9999% of people,

we are all guilty of not moving on a plane.

we sit, we watch movies,

we listen to our iPod, we talk to a friend.

whatever we are doing, we forget to actually get up and move about.

Whatever you want to do to keep yourself moving every so often

will really help because it will help the circulation going.

And in turn your head remembers to get blood because it likes to forget to do that.

So keep moving! *singing* *Just keep moving

Just keep moving Just keep…*

oh no it's swimming that's awkward.

So number 6 and the last tip i have for you guys today,

Is to keep cool I find me personally, that when i am hot and

overheating, my blood pressure goes all over the place

and my symptoms worsen instantly.

So try keep cool.

don't keep your layers on take them off.

turn the air con on if that helps, keep drinking because that also helps keep

your temperature down and keeps your body cooler.

whatever you find helps you keep cool do it.

Well that is all for this video i really hope you enjoyed it or found some tips that will

help you travel, because travelling is so much fun

and hopefully these tips will help make your symptoms a little bit easier

and make travelling a little less stressful.

if you have any tips that i haven't said, be sure to leave them in the comments below

so that others can see them.

and if you haven't already please be sure to thumbs up this video so that i know you

like it. and if you're not already i would love for

you to subscribe so we can have more fun together.

Right up in that corner i'm going to leave the link to my last video.

and right down there i'm going to leave a link to my what is PoTS video,

so if you are new to PoTS you can find out a bit more about that

or if you just wanna learn you can go over there and learn.

And until next time, Keep Watching

Stay Strong And

Stay Safe Bye Guys

Time Paradox: Why Pleasure Is Fleeting and Pain Endures | Dean Buonomano - Duration: 4:04.

So I think something almost everybody can relate to is the mismatch that we all experience

between objective time and subjective time.

So everybody's familiar with this notion that "time flies when you're having fun"

or "a watched pot never boils".

When you're tightly engaged in a task, or where you're doing something that you find

enjoyable, time—we say time seems to fly by.

Which means that your internal clock is probably going a bit slower than an external clock

because you're surprised that maybe an hour has elapsed in external time, but your internal

clock is telling you "No, maybe only 15 minutes have gone by."

Now in order to understand that, it's very important for us to distinguish between two

types of timing.

One we call "Prospective Timing" and one we call "Retrospective Timing".

So this relates to something called the Vacation Paradox.

So maybe you're on vacation, you're in Athens for the first time.

During the day you're experiencing a bunch of new events and new sights and sounds, and

as it's going by—that is prospectively it seems to be flying by.

In retrospect however, maybe the next day or you're back from vacation looking back

upon that, it seems to be a long day.

So retrospectively it seems that it was an extended period of time.

And this is something that was pointed out as far back as William James in his Principles

of Neuroscience over a hundred years ago.

And the point is that retrospectively we're not so much telling time but we're rebuilding

or estimating how much time has elapsed based on the number of experiences we have in memory.

So retrospectively you're more estimating how much time has elapsed, if there was a

period full of new memories then you're left with the impression that it was a long

period of time retrospectively.

But prospectively as it was taking place you were paying attention to some sort of internal

clock in our brain, which you were looking at or querying, that was telling you that

not much time has elapsed, because you weren't paying much attention to time.

So on the other hand when you're very bored or in an anxious state people experience time

as dragging or going slow (again, prospectively).

If you're very anxious, you're waiting to hear from somebody who you know is at the

hospital or you just got an important telephone call and you're waiting for somebody to

call you back, time seems to drag.

It seems to be going slowly.

Of course prospectively you're attending to time.

You're very—you're at the airport, the airplane is delayed, you're very bored,

you're waiting for news about whether you're going to make your trip or not and then you

find out it's going to be in six hours, now you're just in sort of this on hold

mode in which time seems to be dragging, going very slowly, prospectively.

You look back on that, and that's merely a blip in time.

Because retrospectively there's not many items in your memory.

There's nothing particularly exciting about visiting the airport bathroom for the first

time so that doesn't stick in your memory.

So you're left with this feeling retrospectively that time actually was not very long lasting.

So you have this paradox in which retrospectively time seemed to have not occupied much of your

conscious experience but prospectively you were aware of it dragging.

THRIFTOVER | long sleeve top to off shoulder top - Duration: 4:21.

Hello guys and welcome back to my channel!

Now, I don't know about you but I've been feeling like the main trend for this

spring/summer season is everything off-shoulder.

I've literally been seeing it all over these fast fashion stores, but since I've made

the decision not to shop at any of these places, for reasons that I might explain in a future

video, I began to think: "Huh, you know, maybe I could alter one of my pre-existing

tops into an off-shoulder top?"

And that is exactly what I did!

I had this basic, worn out H&M long sleeve top in my closet that I hadn't been wearing

for a long time because it had holes all over the sleeves and hem, but I figured it would

make a perfect candidate for an off-shoulder transformation.

So, if you wanna find out how I made this top, then keep on watching!

I started by drawing a line along the top to mark where I would want to cut it and I

also did the same thing along the hem.

Then I flipped the shirt like so to make the cuts symmetrical and cut along the lines that

I drew.

At this point the top was way too loose so I needed to find a way to make it fit me

tighter around my shoulders.

So, I took the hem part that I had just cut off and decided to utilize this folded bit

for the shoulder part, so I just cut that off as well.

And I was left with a fabric loop like this.

Next I added four pins to the loop to divide it in quarters, adding a pin to the opposite

side of the first one and then halfway on both sides to get four equal sections.

This will help me sew the two parts together, since the loop is shorter in circumference

as opposed to the top.

And I repeated this process of adding pins in quarter sections to the top, first on opposite

sides and then halfway on both sides.

When I begin sewing these two parts together, I'll pull on the loop fabric to match the

pins with the top, like so.

I then went on to sew these bits together with a zigzag stitch while pulling the fabric

to match the pins, and I did this for a while just to find out I was actually only sewing on the

loop fabric and not the fabric of the top, which made it look like this.

So, after undoing the couple inches I had sewn, I tried this again, this time having

the loop fabric on the bottom and the top fabric on the top to make sure I was sewing

them both.

This technique worked for me, so I continued like this all the way around the top.

And the result looked pretty neat if I do say so myself. (complete with dog hair lol)

For the hem, I just folded it over a couple of times and I made the fold about one centimeter

long, added pins and sewed the hem with a straight stitch.

Because both the sleeves had holes in them, I decided to chop them off just where the

holes ended, and I left the edges unfinished.

So this is the end result!
