Suzuki Swift Sport. Moose test

We consider the Swift Sport a nimble and easy to handle car, both on mountain roads and on the moose Test, which we explain next.

on our first attempt we encountered no surprises and the reactions of the car were,

as we predicted, easy to control. We did this first attempt after driving a Ford Fiesta ST and, because the steering of the Swift is not as fast as the one of the Fiesta ST,

we should have turned the wheel a bit more in order to avoid hitting the cones, as it can be seen on the footage.

With the driver's mind readapted to a slower steering than in the Fiesta ST, it was not hard to achieve a successful attempt at 77 km/h.

The Swift Sport is very nimble and its ESC works subtly but effectively for the driver to have a good sense of control over the car.

We unsuccessfuly tried at higher entrance speeds. However, in every attempt remained the same feeling of control and straightforward handling.

These reactions encouraged us to try at higher speeds

but either due to the lack of skill of the drivers or the remarkable deterioration that the tyres suffered on each attempt, we did not succeed.

Slalom

The Swift Sport changes direction with good speed and little effort. It is not as immediate as a Ford Fiesta ST and there is a bigger amount of body roll,

but the steering wheels feels nimble and precise. When the ESC comes into action, the movements are slightly hampered, but not on a disturbing way.

5 Tech Hacks to Learn Languages Like a Pro! - Duration: 6:01.

Hi there! This is Cédric for MosaLingua.

There are two things I love very much, technology and learning languages.

And we are so lucky these days,

as you can play around with the latest technology

to improve your languages skills.

How? Let's have a look right now at 5 tech hacks

to learn languages the smart way.

Before starting, don't forget to subscribe to our channel!

We post new videos every week.

Without further ado, I'll will start with an activity that we always recommend

when it comes to learning a language: reading.

If you have a smartphone or tablet,

get ready to change your habits!

Reading books in a foreign language can be made easier for you

if you use the right tools.

One of my favourite e-readers is Kindle from Amazon.

You can buy the e-reader itself,

or download the free Kindle app for a mobile device you already have.

You can then buy or borrow from a huge collection of ebooks

in many languages, but that's just the beginning!

As you read, you can look up

the translation or the definition of a word or expression

just by tapping on it.

Not only that, but you can also access the Wikipedia page if there is one,

or simply check its definition in a offline dictionary.

All of that is available in seconds

with just one tap of your finger;

you don't even have to go into another app!

Of course, there are more features to this e-reader

that you can use to boost your language learning.

You can obviously highlight new words to review later.

However, you also have the possibility to create a flashcard

to add to your learning the very same way.

When you select a word or expression

and share it to your MosaLingua app,

a new flashcard is created for you to learn later.

It's as simple as that!

I will come back to this topic a little later.

Nowadays, a lot of people have access to online video streaming services

such as Netflix or Amazon Prime Video.

Aside from being my number one chilling activity,

these are perfect tools for learning a language wherever you are!

Both have tons of foreign movies,

or simply movies that have soundtracks and subtitles in the language that you're currently studying.

Finding movies and TV shows in your target language

has never been easier.

A simple search with the keyword audio or subtitle

with the target language will list all the movies that you can watch.

Even better, you can watch TV Shows or movies or series

that you've watched in another language.

Since you'll already know the plot and the dialogue,

your ear will be more focused on the grammar and vocabulary aspect of the movie.

It's one of the most powerful ways to improve your language skills

while having a good time.

Honestly, Who knew that Netflix and chill could teach you a language?

You might find that there aren't enough videos

in your target language available for you,

especially if you're learning a less common language.

Ideally, you would want to explore the free videos

offered on the web sites of foreign TV networks

Problem: streaming is limited to users located in the same country.

Well, this issue can be easily bypassed with a single tool,

called a VPN.

This is a service that allows you to use an IP address

(or your computer's ID in Internet speak)

from any country in the world.

Switching your IP to another country

lets you access all the content, audio or video

from these TV websites without any problems.

You will need to subscribe to a VPN service,

which usually costs between 2 and 3 dollars a month.

The tips I gave you so far

will help you improve your reading

and listening comprehension.

So, What about your oral expression?

What if I told you that you have a pronunciation coach in your pocket right now?

Yes, I'm definitely talking about your smartphone!

Whether you have an Apple or Android, your device has a voice recognition feature

that can be used for just that purpose.

You might complain that you need to have clear pronunciation

so it understands what you say.

Isn't that what you'd expect from a pronunciation teacher?

You just need to change the language of your keyboard

to the language you are currently studying

and then click on dictation.

You'll see: your phone will give you a hard time if your pronunciation is too sloppy!

All the time you spend online can be also used

to personalize your learning path on your MosaLingua app.

Instead of following the suggestions of your app

or manually creating cards,

what if you could select your own cards while browsing the internet,

or reading ebooks,

or simply using your favorite apps?

Well, good news: this is now possible!

With the latest version of the MosaLingua app,

you can create your own learning path by adding new flashcards from anywhere on your mobile device.

You only need to select the new word or expression

and share it to your MosaLingua app.

Your app will then suggest a translation and add it to your learning stack.

All of this happens in a flash, no need to type anything!

These are a few hacks I use when I learn languages.

If you want to give them a try,

you can drop a comment below

and we'd be happy to help with anything you need.

If you have other tech hacks you want to share,

please let us know there, too!

Take good care of yourself and see you soon!

Truth Behind Pogba's Rumored Transfer From Manchester United | Transfer News Now #MUFC - Duration: 4:37.

Paul Pogba is undoubtedly one of the best players at Manchester United.

Functioning of their team as a unit owes a lot to the brilliance of the Frenchman.

However, in recent months there have been a lot of reports claiming that he is unhappy

at Old Trafford and wants to leave.

Most recently, Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu refused to rule out the possibility

of him coming to Catalonia this transfer window.

These rumors are not totally baseless as they have a lot of logical reasons behind them.

The Heart of the Matter

Paul Pogba returned back to Manchester United amid much fanfare in 2016 for a then world

record fee.

He had been a successive winner with Juventus in Serie A, and switching from playing in

Champions League regularly to playing in Europa League, with Manchester United was a big ask

for any player, but he came back determined to bring the glory days back to United.

Even though he was intensively scrutinized during his first season back owing to his

world record fee, he still performed well enough and won two trophies.

However, reports of a breakdown with manager Jose Mourinho started making rounds the next

season, and the manager even started asking questions of him publicly, claiming that he

couldn't produce his best on a consistent basis.

He was even dropped to the bench for many important matches like the ill-fated first

leg Champions League last-16 tie with Sevilla.

Just a day before the second Manchester derby of the season, City manager Pep Guardiola

went on claim that Paul was offered to him in the winter transfer window by his agent.

However, Pogba went on to silence his critics in the derby, as it was his quick-fire double

that kick-started United's unbelievable comeback at the Etihad.

After an inconsistent end to the season, Pogba showed his true class in the World Cup as

he was instrumental to France's success, and his leadership skills were also visible in

the videos circulated afterward.

His phenomenal performances once again gave rise to the debate that maybe it was Mourinho's

tactics which were stifling his true game, and maybe he could perform better when provided

a bit more freedom.

Ever since then, rumor mills have consistently been churning out reports linking him to various

other top clubs.

Recent Developments

Pogba was handed a start in United's Premier League opener, even though he returned back

from an extended vacation, after the World cup just three days ago.

He was even handed the captain's armband in the absence of Antonio Valencia, and he was

at the heart of United's midfield as he even scored a penalty to give United the lead.

However, his post-match comments created even more ripples than his performance.

His comment that "If you're not happy, you cannot give your best.

There are things that I cannot say otherwise I will get fined" suggested that things were

not all well between the manager and the player.

And the next day it was Bartomeu's comments that there were still 20 days left in the

end of the current transfer window, when asked about Pogba that added to the confusion surrounding

the situation.

What's Likely to Happen

English transfer window has closed but players can still leave for clubs outside England.

However, Pogba's transfer this window seems unlikely as United cannot bring a replacement

to the club even if he were to leave.

Besides, he loves United too much and his relationship with the fans has been brilliant

who have always supported him, and he has time and again reiterated his desire to win

trophies with the club.

However, the solution to this problem lies with Mourinho who needs to sit down, with

his midfielder to clear the air and devise a system which can complement Pogba's style

of play.

The signing of Fred was vital to this, but now he needs to be more flexible in his tactics

to bring the best out of Pogba as well as United.

However, Pogba has always been a serial winner and the lack of trophies may force him someday

to pursue challenges somewhere else, and that is why Mourinho now needs to find a solution

quickly more than ever.

ADJECTIVES #2 | Prefixes & Suffixes | Basic English Grammar Course - Duration: 10:15.

Hello, guys. Welcome to this English course on adjectives.

In today's video, I'm going to talk about prefixes and suffixes that are commonly added

to adjectives in English.

A prefix is a few letters added to a beginning

of a word to change the meaning of that word.

And a suffix is a few letters added to the

end of the word to change the meaning.

We'll get more into detail.

Let's get started.

Let's take a look at a few adjectives with

prefixes. Again a 'prefix' is a few letters added

to the beginning of the adjective. Mostly to make it negative.

Let's take a look at a few examples.

First we have the prefix 'un'. U, n.

For example, if we take the word, 'fair', and want to make it negative, we can add u

– n to have the word 'unfair' which is the opposite of fair.

Same goes for 'happy'. 'unhappy'

'sure' become 'unsure'. Another prefix is i –n , 'in'.

To make the adjective negative, again, For example, 'active' – 'inactive'.

'appropriate' 'inappropriate'

'complete' 'incomplete'

The prefix i –r now, 'ir'. For example,

'responsible' 'irresponsible'

'regular' 'irregular'

'rational' 'irrational'

Then we have the prefix i –m, 'im'. For example,

'balance' 'imbalance'

'polite' 'impolite'

'possible' 'impossible'

And finally, the prefix, 'il'. I – l.

Like, 'legal' 'illegal'

'literate' 'illiterate'

'logical' 'illogical'

These are just a few examples, guys. There are so many other prefixes in English.

But I hope you now have a better understanding. Let's move on.

Let's now talk about suffixes. In English, you can add a few letters to a

noun or a verb to make it into an adjective.

Not necessarily a negative adjective.

It's not like prefixes.

There are so many suffixes in English, but

here is a list of very common ones.

We can find a suffix 'able'.

Like, 'adorable'. 'comfortable'

Also the suffix 'en', e – n. Like, 'broken'.

'golden'

'ese'

Like, 'Chinese'. 'Japanese'

'ful' Like, 'wonderful'.

'powerful'

'ative'

Like, 'informative'. 'talkative'

'ous' 'dangerous'

'enormous'

Or 'some'.

Like, 'awesome'. 'handsome'

Again, these are just a few examples. There are so many suffixes.

But I hope you now have a good idea of how to use suffixes in English.

Let's now move on to practice.

Okay, guys.

Let's practice finding adjectives in the following sentences.

And prefixes or suffixes.

Let's have a look.

"I have an uncomfortable seat."

Now, can you spot the adjective, first?

Of course, the adjective here is 'uncomfortable'.

Can you see any prefix or suffix?

I do.

There is a prefix, which is 'un'.

And there is a suffix as well. The suffix, 'able'.

Okay, so look at how we transformed the word.

The first word was 'comfort' in English.

First, we added a suffix to make it into an adjective, which is 'comfortable'.

And then we added a prefix, 'un', to make it negative.

So the seat is not comfortable, it is uncomfortable.

That's how prefixes and suffixes can be

used in English.

The second sentence, "She has a black car."

Can you spot the adjective, first.

Of course, it's the adjective 'black'.

Is there a suffix or a prefix?

No, there isn't.

Next sentence. "His father was unhelpful."

What's the adjective? 'unhelpful'

Of course.

Any prefix, suffix?

Yes, there is a prefix. Again, which is 'un'.

To make the adjective negative. And there is a suffix, 'ful'.

To make the noun 'help' into an adjective.

'unhelpful'

Next sentence. "The actor is handsome."

The adjective, of course, is 'handsome'.

Is there a prefix?

No, there isn't.

Is there a suffix?

Of course, 'some'.

'handsome'

"I hate oily food."

The adjective is 'oily'. Of course.

Is there a prefix?

There isn't.

Is there a suffix?

Of course.

The 'y' is a suffix. You have the word, the noun, 'oil'.

And to make it into an adjective you add the suffix 'y'.

And finally, "She is a dishonest woman."

The adjective is 'dishonest', of course.

Do you have a prefix?

We do. Yes. We have the prefix, 'dis'.

It shows this woman is not honest, she is dishonest.

Okay, so that's how with prefixes and suffixes we can really transform words in English.

It's wonderful isn't it?

There are thousands of prefixes and suffixes.

Again, these are just a few examples. But I hope you now understand how it works

in English and how you can really transform and play with the different words and kinds

of words.

Okay, guys. Let's now review the sentences

together and focus on pronunciation.

Repeat after me, please.

"I have an uncomfortable seat." "I have an uncomfortable seat."

Good job. Second sentence.

"She has a black car." "She has a black car."

Good. Keep repeating.

"His father was unhelpful." "His father was unhelpful."

"The actor is handsome." "The actor is handsome."

Good. Moving on.

"I hate oily food." "I hate oily food."

And finally. "She is a dishonest woman."

"She is a dishonest woman."

All of that is available in seconds

with just one tap of your finger;

you don't even have to go into another app!

Nimeni nu-i aşteaptă cu bastoane", a declarat deputatul PNL, Răzvan prişcă

„E normal ca noi să putem pune întrebări. SUnt mulţi parlamentari PSD care ar vrea să pună întrebări doamnei ministru, domnilor generali", a mai afirmat deputatul, membru al Comisiei de apărare

Prişcă a punctat faptul că prin modul cum se comportă colegii lui Carmen Dan şi chiar ministrul, aceştia lasă impresia că o parte a conducerii Ministerului de Interne de vinovată de ce s-a întâmplat vineri seară

Excellent guys.

Okay, guys. Thank you for watching this video.

I hoped this helped you understand a bit more about prefixes and suffixes in English.

But, today. Well, let me ask you first.

Have you ever used a gimbal before?

No, I have not.

Never

This is the reason why I asked her to come. Because she has never used it before!!

Really?!?

Which...

So, you asked me to come here because I've never used it before?

Yeahh...lol

Today, I'll use this iPhone.

And another one that Fhai holds is Google Pixel 2 XL.

Which is well-known in image stabilization

means that this phone has its built-in stabilizer!!

Today, I'll compare these 2 units.

Which one works better for the new user between gimbal and handheld cellphone

Which one is more stable??

Should not be that difficult, I guess.

Not difficult?

Well, let's see what it will be.

Ready!!

So Fhai, this is Google Pixel

Google Pixel

And this one is a gimbal with iPhone

iPhone

7Plus

7Plus

But we'll try just handheld

So, how was it? I can feel the bridge was shaking!!!

Yeahh I can feel it was shaking lol..

Well, it's stable when I walked, but when I ran it....

Well, it depends on personal running skill lol...

But it's hard for me because I only looked at the camera.

I didn't see the ground.

Ummm...

Ok. My turn now.

Ok.

Don't forget if I win

Gimbal.

OK.

So gimbal, ok?

We have a deal that the winner gets this gimbal.

Tired.

But if we press this button 3 times

Look

1..2..3..

Hellooo.

It can take selfie!!

Yes, we can selfie with this.

Awesome!!

It can take selfie, but we cannot see ourselves.

Because display is on the another side

But actually, we can switch it to front camera, but...

it's not very clear, so we'd better use main camera.

Well, let's see if we can take good shoots using this gimbal??

Let's go!!

New mode. It's called "Inception"

Let's try.

What!! It turns itself?!?

Ahh haaa..

Look!!!

Ohhh...

Ohhhh...

Look!! It turns over!!!

Right. It looked just fine when I shoot.

I'll try to run full speed.

I want to know how stable it will be.

Now, I want to try between my professional camera which has image stabilization in a len.

And a gimbal from Moza in comparison.

Let's do this at the same time.

Start this one first

This time let's do selfie.

Wait! It's slippery.

Yayyy..

So, how was this review of how to use....

What is it called again?

Gimbal!

Gimbal from Moza.

This model is called Mini-mi.

And this Google Pixel.

Pixel 2 XL

And what do you think about this 2 stuffs?

Which one is more stable?

This is for a beginner. Have you used it before?

No, I have not. Today is the first time using this.

Never use it before!!

Today is her first time which came out....

Well, let's have everyone comment.

Wait! we still cannot tell who shoot more stable.

Me of course!!!

Well, I don't think so.

Don't need to ask.

Me!! I'm sure I did it better!

How about we have everyone comment that

who should be the winner between Fhai or Jo

Or uncle Jo..

You just tease yourself lol...

OK. If most people say that Fhai has done better. She will get this gimbal.

But if I have done better which is sure, Ketchup Jo has done better.

Of course, they will choose me!!

Of course not!

This one too!!!

Let's the audience decide.

How about if I loose, I get this phone, but if I win, I get this gimbal??

Oh well, then we stop now..

You just want 2 of them!!!

Thank you for watching!!

Why?!? Can't you just sacrifice to me?

No!!

No?? What?

Be on my side, pleasee

Let's do a gimbal first. The winner gets gimbal.

Thank you for watching. See you in next VDO.

【MUKBANG】 Korean Super Spicy Teumsae Cheese Noodles!!! [8 Servings] 4280kcal [CC Available] - Duration: 6:29.

Hello it's Kinoshita Yuka ( English subtitles by ~Aphexx~ )

So today tadaa! I've got some Korean instant ramen

?Chuu Sela? ramen in cheddar cheese flavor

This instant Ramen has cheese in it And this is probably going to be a bit spicy

Apparently this is very popular in Korea

this was sent to me by a viewer... TYVM

alrighty lets get cookin'

These are the ingredients And on this package there is onion and shimeji shrooms

pictured on the package so I'll copy those things

I'll be making 8 portions of these

And inside these are noodles and 3 packets

starting with the topping and soup and...

The soup looks spicy AF doesn't it

and boil the noodles

After the noodles have been cooked according to direction Transfer to a Bowl

And add your desired toppings shimeji and onion

and the last packet of powder

This is cheese it smells so much like cheese

I put the toppings in before the powder... I don't have an eye for A E S T H E T I C S

tadaa its done It looks spicy but.... spicy things go nicely with cheese

I think it'll be yummy itadakimasu

I'm really digging the fact that The powdered cheese melts into the soup

its rather spicy its spicy but..... yup its spicy

this powdered cheese.... the cheezy powder is real rich tasting and gives it lots of depth

this soup is super spicy Maybe if I mix the cheese in better

gah.... this red looking soup

Please instant noodles from Korea usually get you to make the soup before adding the noodles making

giving the noodles so much extra flavor its so yummy

Spicy Ramen like this are blisteringly spicy the first few mouthfuls

And as you gradually get used to it it gets better

but the first little while is super spicy It's so spicy that my mouth is watering like crazy

Spicy AF

and I have this ginger ale here

.

I think I feel a bit better its a stongly flavored ginger ale

this strongly flavored extra spicy ginger ale is here to help me with this extra spicy ramen

.... or so that's what I hope will happen

Another thing about this is that still piping hot I should have cooled these off

the shimeji shrooms are so yummy

The first little while is super spicy Best get used to it.... it does get better

and you can start to enjoy the flavors

The cheese is really rich tasting its so cheezy flavored and yummy

It's super spicy but It's got plenty of that yummy cheesy flavor

my mouth is burning

my tummy is starting to feel it

I can't really taste the spice all that much but my tummy is really feeling the effects of all the spice

The nice thing about the extra vegetables in here is that it blunts the effect of the spice

Since the super so spicy It really brings out the sweetness of the vegetables

then again we only have onion and shimeji shrooms in here

Mostly only the soup remains

S P I C Y

Last mouthful itadakimasu

gochisosamadeshita this korean instant ramen was spicy but very delish

The cheese was very rich tasting but man.. my mouth feels like its on fire

my nose even hurts I wonder if something is wrong with me or something

the spiciness is the usual level of spiciness as always

but it was super yummy though

But since we add the noodles after the soup is mixed the noodles soak up the flavors and

These Korean noodles are chewy and have a nice toothsome feel

special thanks to the person who sent me these These are all so yummy wants you all please give him a try

And as always thank you for watching if there's anything you Wants me to do or each please tell me in the comments section

My Views On Morality (Is It Objective?) - Duration: 12:17.

Over the last couple of months a fair few of you have asked me to explain my views on

morality, and for even longer than that I've wanted to… but, unfortunately, I haven't

been able.

Albert Einstein once said that "If you can't explain something simply you don't know

it enough", and in acknowledgement of these words I knew that I needed to ruminate and

converse with greater minds before publicly expressing my thoughts.

But finally, I believe myself to be at such a standard, and so, for what it's worth, here're

my views on morality.

As many of you are already aware, in the current state of moral philosophy we have three subject

areas; metaethics, which is concerned with where morality comes from and what moral terms

mean; normative ethics, which is concerned with forming standards that regulate right

and wrong conduct; and applied ethics, which is concerned with specific controversial issues,

such as abortion, animal rights, climate change, capital punishment, and nuclear war.

Now, since I'm predominantly concerned with metaethics (because that's where I see the

most confusion), that's what I'm going to primarily focus on within this video.

The field of metaethics itself tends to be divided into two overarching schools: objectivism

and relativism, with the former positing that morality exists as a matter of fact, and the

latter positing that morality exists as a matter of opinion.

For example, Catholicism advocates an objective metaethic, since it posits that morality exists

as a product of divine law, and as such is comparable to any scientific law.

While cultural relativism advocates a relativist metaethic, since it posits that morality is

entirely a cultural construct.

My view, however, is that morality is both objective and relative.

That is, it exists as a matter of fact and it's relative to certain conditions.

Now on the surface (because of conditioning) this might seem absurdly contradictory, but

I assure you, it's not.

It's no more absurd than the science of health, which is a great comparison (that's

been utilised by the likes of Sam Harris before) because while health is rightfully acknowledged

as an objective science, it's also acknowledged as a relativistic science, since facts about

health are relative to species, and in some cases, individuals.

Anyhow, I'm getting ahead of myself now.

To back up a little, I'm going to take some advice from Voltaire and talk semantics.

First off, so far as I'm concerned, words such as "good", "bad", "right",

"wrong", "should", "shouldn't", "ought", oughtn't", "virtuous",

"evil", and, indeed, "ethical", "unethical", "moral" and "immoral", are, I would

argue, utterly meaningless without a reference.

They're descriptive, and without a reference (which is granted either consciously or unconsciously)

they're vacuous.

To demonstrate this, consider the following: is it "good" or "moral" to punch someone

in the face?

In general, no, it's not.

But notice that by saying "in general" I just assumed a reference (that being our

social contract).

If I assumed the reference of a boxing fight then punching someone in the face is "good".

In fact, it's the "right" thing to do.

And so my point being here is that from a foundational perspective, words such as "moral"

and "immoral" are meaningless.

To say that something is moral is to say that something is good... and we can't say that

something is good unless we have a reference.

Moving on, what's the definition of "objective"?

Because this word, in my opinion, is the sticking point for most people when it comes to morality,

and I think it's because while we've largely outgrown religion, we're yet to outgrown

religious language.

There are two prominent conceptions of objectivity, one that's scientific, and one that's

philosophical.

Scientists (and many philosophers) tend to view the relationship between objectivity

and subjectivity as that of "fact" and "opinion", and thus define an objective

statement as "A fact that isn't affected by an individual's feelings, biases or interpretations"

(and therefore can typically be verified).

While other philosophers (and the religious) tend to view the relationship between objectivity

and subjectivity as that of "independent of a subject", and "dependent on a subject",

and thus define an objective statement as "A statement that does not depend on a subject

to exist".

Now both of these definitions suit their purpose, of course, but people often conflate and confuse

them, and they do so especially when it comes to morality.

To illustrate this, consider the following question: is it objectively the case that

you're now thinking?

If your answer is "yes", then that's because you're using the scientific definition

of "objective" – it's an objective fact about human thought, and it's something

we can measure, infer, and indeed verify.

But if you were using the philosophical definition your answer would necessarily be "no",

because this "fact" depends on you (a subject) to exist.

The problem, of course, is that people erroneously assert that because morality is subjective

in the philosophical sense it's also subjective in the scientific sense, when this obviously

isn't the case.

Anyhow, with moral semantics covered, I want to touch upon the great David Hume's is/ought

guillotine.

I'll dedicate an entire video to this topic upon a time, as most people (including some

otherwise reputable sources) completely misunderstand the problem, but for now, here're some brief

remarks.

Hume famously observed that people erroneously make claims about what "ought" to be based

entirely on what "is"; that they attempt (but fail) to derive prescriptive conclusions

from entirely descriptive facts.

For example, consider this seemingly sound argument: Premise 1: Humans typically die

if they're hanged.

Premise 2: Ken is a human.

Therefore: We ought not to hang Ken.

This looks like a valid deductive argument, but it's not… it's a non-sequitur.

Even with both premises being true, the conclusion doesn't logically follow.

It attempts to get a prescriptive statement from descriptive facts, but it fails.

Sure, humans tend to die if hanged, and Ken is indeed a human, but how exactly do these

statement of fact tell us that we ought not to hang Ken?

Exactly, they don't.

And so Hume's lesson, so far as I can tell, is "Don't assume that you can draw moral

conclusions directly from statements of fact, and watch out for arguments that do."

It's a brilliant observation, and a very useful tip, but it's not the same as saying

that "Morality doesn't exist" or that "We can't derive a valid ought", is

it?

So how, then, can we derive a valid ought?

Well, it's actually very easy – it's by having a valid deductive argument that

includes at least one ought.

Or in other words, it's by getting an ought from an ought.

For example: Premise one: We ought to live consistently with our evolution (this is an

"ought").

Premise two: Humans evolved to eat meat (this is an "is").

Therefore: We ought to eat meat.

To put this in the language of mathematical logic, this argument is valid (since its conclusion

does indeed follow from its premises), and it's objectively verifiable (especially

given recent advancements in scientific tools), but it's not necessarily sound, because

most people don't believe that "We ought to live consistently with our evolution."

And so my point being here is that we can deduce a valid ought, but whether we find

it to be sound is dependent on if we personally accept the premises.

And this, finally, brings me to what is the most unique aspect of my moral perspective.

I'm convinced that there are two types of oughts (or "goods", or "shoulds",

or "morals", etc.,) – and I currently refer to them as "axiomatic oughts" and

"contingent oughts".

Axiomatic oughts are "Feelings of obligation that exist self-evidently", and they do

so without proof or argument (they just are; they're facts of nature).

An example is my current conviction that "I ought to survive".

I didn't reason myself into this ought, I just have it… it's an axiomatic fact

of nature (not an assumption)… now that might seem dissatisfying, but so too, at least

in my opinion, are all axiomatic facts.

While it's not justified, it really is the case that I have this compulsion, this ought,

this impulse, this urge to behave in a certain way, and this can be objectively verified

through the scientific method (And so it's a scientific fact), and what's more, thanks

to Darwin, we now know precisely why I have it in the first place (hint… no god needed).

And contingent oughts are "Feelings of obligation that are predicated on axiomatic oughts and

one or more statements of fact", and because they're predicated on statements of fact

that may or may not be correct, they too may or may not be correct.

To illustrate this, let's take two contingent oughts - the first being that "I ought to

vaccinate my child", and the second being that "I ought to remove a segment of my

child's genitalia" – how is it that I can say that one ought (or moral statement)

is right and that the other is wrong?

Well, it's by viewing them in their entire context.

Unlike axiomatic oughts, contingent oughts are, well, contingent on premises, and in

both of these cases they're contingent on the same axiomatic ought (that being "I

ought to prevent my child from suffering") and at least one statement of fact (or "is"

statement).

And so syllogistically, the first argument goes as follows: Premise 1: I ought to prevent

my child from suffering.

Premise 2: It is the case that vaccinating my child will reduce her chances of suffering.

Therefore: I ought to vaccinate my child.

And the second argument goes: Premise 1: I ought to prevent my child from suffering.

Premise 2: It is the case that removing a segment of my child's genitalia will reduce

her chances of suffering.

Therefore: I ought to remove a segment of my child's genitalia.

Now both of these arguments are valid (as their conclusions follow from their premises),

but only one of them is sound.

And so the reason I can say that the vaccine ought is correct (or sound) and the circumcision

ought is incorrect (or unsound) is because it is indeed scientifically, objectively the

case (given the current conditions) that "Vaccinating a child will reduce their chances of suffering",

and it is not objectively the case (given the current conditions) that "Removing a

segment of a child's genitalia will reduce their chances of suffering".

Thus, the former is right because its premises are correct, and the latter is wrong because

its second premise is incorrect.

Now again, we can quarrel about the axiomatic ought, but here's the thing: if you already

accept it (for whatever reason, or, let's face it… lack thereof), then for all intent

and purposes, what's the problem?

Nature has made it so that we're born with axiomatic oughts, and while, again, this is

intellectually dissatisfying, we just have to get on with it.

As inconvenient as it might be, we are not born with a blank slate, and all moral discourse

must, finally, accept this brute fact.

Anyhow, to some up, I do not believe, for example, that it's always morally wrong

to murder… there's no transcendent objective law that we must abide by, and I don't believe

that we "must" do anything, but I do believe (as a matter of scientific fact) that we're

born with intrinsic axiomatic values, goals, and inclinations (or in other words, axiomatic

oughts), and that we construe contingent oughts in reference to these axiomatic oughts and

perceived facts, and because those facts can be erroneous, so too can the contingent oughts

predicated upon them.

Or to put this more personally, while we all have different values and preferences, and

we all believe different things, the vast majority of us have the axiomatic ought of

not wanting to suffer, and consequently we want to live in a world in which no matter

who we were conceived by, no matter what genetic disposition we inherited, and no matter what

environment we grow up in, we were given ample love, patience and opportunity, and so given

this mutual acceptance of what is "good", let's work together to create a better future.

Now the last thing I want to say is that, if I'm honest, I'm not entirely sure on

how you'll respond my views, as so far as I can tell they're largely unique, but what

is for sure is that I'm excited to digest your responses.

If you think I'm right, let me know.

And likewise, if you think I'm wrong… well, you're already typing…

As always, thank you kindly for the view, and an extra special thank you to my wonderful

patrons and those of you who've donated via PayPal.

Until next time my fellow apes, until next time!

The Best Way to Supplement With Potassium | Chris Masterjohn Lite #59 - Duration: 8:08.

This is how to supplement with potassium.

Hi. I'm Dr. Chris Masterjohn of

chrismasterjohnphd.com,

and this is Chris Masterjohn Lite,

where the name of the game is

"Details? Shmeetails. Just tell me what works!"

Today we're going to talk about

potassium supplements. Now, I've

made videos in the past about getting

enough potassium, and I'll link to those

in the description so that you can go

back and look at those videos. Those were

about getting potassium from food.

In fact, I recommend you try to get all of

your potassium from food so that you

don't need to follow the instructions in

this video. With that said, it is

important to get enough potassium, and

unless you're really focusing on it, it's

very easy to not get enough from food.

Sometimes I talk to people and they say,

"Geez, what you're telling me to do to get

enough potassium in my food doesn't sound

like something that I'm ready to do." And

they really want to take a supplement,

and so if you fall into that category,

this is for you. With that said, it's

important to clear what you're doing

with your doctor. The FDA actually

regulates potassium supplements to make

sure that they don't exceed 99 milligrams.

The reason is that even though there are

very clear studies in humans showing

that it is perfectly safe for healthy

people to take 15 grams of potassium per day,

it's also the case that for someone

whose kidneys are not able to excrete

potassium at the rate that they need to,

even smaller doses are able to cause

hyperkalemia, which means that your blood

levels of potassium go too high.

Hyperkalemia could affect your heart

rate or could affect—could give you

palpitations or something like that, but

it could, in theory, in the worst cases,

not in theory, but it could in the worst

cases, lead to death. And so it could be

an emergency-room situation, so the FDA

has just come out and said, "We don't want

the fewer people who would have access to

these supplements to have those bigger

problems, so we're not going to let anyone

take more than 99 milligrams of

potassium at a time." With that said, there

are bulk powders of potassium that

actually make it super easy to take more

than that because they just called the

serving size whatever gives

99 milligrams, and you just pour out

however much you want.

Nevertheless, it is more common than you

might think that someone doesn't have—

that someone does not have the proper

ability to excrete potassium in the

kidneys. And that's because things like

NSAIDs, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory

drugs, the most common drugs on the

market that people are taking all over

to manage trivial—I don't want to

trivialize a bad headache, but oftentimes,

trivial headaches, trivial pain, people

are taking these, sometimes very bad,

debilitating pain, but still, these drugs

are common, and they can impair the

excretion of potassium in the kidneys.

Insulin resistance, one of the most

common metabolic problems we have in our

society, impairs the ability of the

kidneys to get rid of potassium. So it's

very important that you clear what

you're doing with your doctor to make

sure that you're not taking any drugs,

those or other ones, that you don't

have any health conditions that you know

about or that you don't know about yet

that could interfere with your ability

to tolerate potassium supplements.

There's another problem, which is that

with certain potassium supplements, and

potassium chloride seems to be the worst offender,

and potassium supplements that

are in pills or capsules or tablets,

especially if they are in time-released

tablets, which seems to be the worst

offender, can irritate the stomach lining.

And that's because you take a pill of

potassium, it goes into your stomach, and

then it just stays in one location, where

there's a very high concentration of

potassium rather than spreading out, and

it can irritate and basically eat a hole

in your stomach lining. When your

potassium is spread out in your food,

there's no one area of the stomach

that is vulnerable to that

high concentration of potassium.

Also, potassium stimulates insulin, and so you

could get hypoglycemia if you took

potassium on an empty stomach. That

doesn't happen when you eat potassium

in food because the potassium is mixed

in with the—even vegetables have

at least a little bit of glucose, where

the potassium drips into your system, and

the glucose drips into your system at

the same time, and you get the proper balance.

So if we need to use potassium

supplements, how do we best replicate

what's in food to give us a slower input

of potassium that our kidneys are better

able to handle, along with a slow drip of

glucose that balances our blood sugar in

a way that is spread out in our stomach

that is not going to eat a hole anywhere

in our stomach? Well, what I would do is I

would use this supplement that is shown

on the screen: BulkSupplements

Potassium Citrate Powder.

I like potassium citrate because

A) it's not potassium chloride, and

B) another alternative, potassium

bicarbonate, is best to—bicarbonate is

best to not take on a full stomach

because it can interfere with stomach

acid, and you can wind up burping up a

lot of the bicarbonate. So potassium

citrate is better than bicarbonate when you're

mixing it with a meal, and potassium is

better mixed with a meal for the reasons

we just described. So this BulkSupplements

Pure Potassium Citrate Powder,

I would use, start with small

doses, like a few hundred milligrams, and

make sure you tolerate it. Again,

presumably you're telling your doctor

about this, and you can look out for any

adverse signs and then work your way up.

You can theoretically go up to grams per

day. There have been 15-gram-per-day

studies, like I mentioned before. But I

would definitely be trying to get the

bulk of your potassium from food, and so

you really want to make your total

potassium, if you can get your total

potassium, food and supplements combined,

to hit 5 or 6 grams per day, you're in

very good shape. You take that

bulk powder, and you stir it into your food,

or you blend it into your food, depending

on whatever—

what you're eating and whatever the

easiest way to mix it in. The goal is, as

in the previous episode with calcium, to

evenly mix the potassium throughout your

food so that it is the closest

approximation to actually eating the

potassium in the food. If you want to

Citrate Powder without my affiliate link,

[D.O.D] Dance Festival & Night Market Pt. 1 - Duration: 6:13.

Hi everyone, Jiseul here!

Why is Jiseul is on Jeewon's Camera?

Oh we've decided to change it up, instead of Jeewon cam, it's gonna be Jiseul's from here on, permanently.

Nice to see you, everyone!

I just realized that I have to put more work into this, that might actually happen.

Permanently this has changed to Jiseul's channel! I hope you enjoy watching my videos, please click like and subscribe!

Please do!

What are you doing, Jeewon?

I wanna fix my makeup

I like your ensemble today, very Greek goddess-like!

I'd like to fix my makeup because everything comes out a little bit paler on this camera.

So it doesn't capture some of the details...

You look pretty today though, Jeewon!

Where are you going with your dolled-up self today?

Today... I'm gonna go see my choreography teacher's show.

Don't act surpised, you know her too.

So today, we are...

going to go see our friend/dance teacher Eungyu's performance. We're gonna go support her.

So we've put on our A-game, which we usually do not do...

I even put on my contact lenses today.

So, we've dolled ourselves up,

and are on our way to Hongdae.

The venue is called "V Hall" in Hongdae~

- Back in the day, I had a performance in "V Hall" too! - What was it about?

When I was in middle school,

I did a showcase, or something similar to that.

- I don't frequent Hongdae that often... - I don't either!

I'm so looking forward to this Hongdae outing.

What are you planning on doing after watching the show?

- We've gotta eat! - Have you found something in particular?

...n-no...

Should I have come up with plans for that too?

I thought you had something in mind.

- There should be something nice in Hongdae. - It's a street of youth after all.

Yeah, we are youths!

Don't you think some YouTube viewers are curious what the streets of Hongdae are like?

Yeah, they must be!

So today, we are...

In conjunction with Eungyu teacher's performance, and Hongdae outing,

It's so awkward and funny to see you lead in front of the camera.

I've shot some footages with a couple people, including my sister,

- and so far you are the most proactive person that I've done this with! - Really?!

(I've been so lonely doing this on my own T_T)

I'm so moved, so touched right now.

So, for today,

I am going to give my best to make Jeewon's video entertaining!

Fighting! (Jeewon applauding)

We're gonna turn the camera back on once we arrive.

We'll be right back!

I'll put hard work into this so that Jeewon TV doesn't turn into Jiseul TV

Woah, Hongdae! Apparently the show has already started!

So we're running a bit late...

We're on our way V Hall.

You seem to know your way around here.

- I've performed here before after all. - Oh, that's right!

So it's gotta be.... this way!

We have arrived!

Which way?

Fighting, Eungyu!

Fighting~

(Ahead of the actual performance, a footage of high school students' dance club was shown.)

I would like to introduce myself, I'm %^ University class of '12...

(A handsome MC has appeared.)

(The first team's performance has come to its end.)

Coming up next, the moment we've been waiting for: Eungyu!!!

Once again, can I get a round of applause?

That marks the end of Pt. 1!

Before we start pt.2, I'd like to remind you what are coming up next.

They're gonna do a dance battle soon, how well do you think Eungyu's team will do?

- 1st!! - Me too!

Eungyu was rank no.1 on the preliminaries too!

I'm so hyped!

(Stay tuned for the pt.2: Dance Battle!!!)

I'm gonna cheer Eungyu on!

We came on I think it's Midsummer's Night when there's a big musical

festival down on the on the river at the fountain and we arrived from the airport

quite about the middle of the evening and we just left our bags we want to go

out and find something to eat and we heard the noise from the river bank and

we went down there and there was this huge gathering of people and what we

liked was the police were there controlling people and people that

wanted to drink we're in a separate area and families were in a separate area

there were all these food stalls and it was really a lovely balmy warm night and

we really enjoyed the music and fountains etc a lot and we went back to

our apartment and the next morning we got up early and we walked down there

and we couldn't believe that been a concert there there was no litter there

was not even a leaf on the grass and all the food vans and everything had gone,

all the barricades had gone. It was like it had never happened it was wonderful

we really appreciate that we we get the impression that the Polish people

respect the laws they respect the dustbins they respect you walk across

the pedestrian crossing because I think you have laws and if you break the law

there is a consequence and people accept the consequence and we applaud the

Polish people for their respect

The people are very friendly yesterday I traveled Warsaw I shopped like a lot of

women and I traveled all over the Metro the trains the buses if I didn't know

something I would say excuse me can you help me mostly people have some English

I found and look at a map and very friendly very safe we feels very safe

just love it Warsaw is just another big city here for

you when you first look at it and it's got the same sort of things as big

cities of transport systems and a lot of traffic and a lot of noise etc but the

transport system works really well and I'm an old man and I travel for free I

quite like getting on enough trams and trains with without having to find a

ticket I mean there are two Warsaw's there's the old town and these

metropolis and we we stay in the old town and as I say big cities are very

similar all over the world so we don't really need to look at the skyscrapers

of course although we cannot afford it I would love to have an apartment in the

old town and come every year yes

Suzuki Swift Sport 2018 - Maniobra de esquiva (moose test) y eslalon | km77.com - Duration: 2:18.

Australijczycy o Powstaniu Warszawskim cz.1 - Duration: 5:23.

We came here first in 2009 and we got interested in the uprising and we

decided we needed to come back and learn more about it and along the way we

course learned a lot more about other aspects of Poland and polish life but

our great interest is has been really the Warsaw Uprising and probably the

history of the Jews in Poland which is also fascinating and quite tragic this

little booklet we got on our second visit to Warsaw and for me and us it

really was the reason we keep on coming back to Warsaw we learned so much from

this little book that made us want to come back to learn more about Warsaw

Uprising and Warsaw and Poland it is not in production in English anymore which

is a great tragedy because because it was in English we learned and we have

come back two or three times it is in Polish which is good but I would like to

see it reproduced in English you have so many tourists to Warsaw who cannot

unfortunately speak Polish I would like to be able to speak full polish and if

you have a little book in English you can take it back to your apartment and

read this little book has travelled to Australia Poland Australia Poland twice

the tourist bureau put out a lot of these little very very good books and we

have taken a couple of sets home we have taken and given them to friends and one

couple has come specially to Warsaw because of this information

we came to Warsaw and the guide took us to a memorial memorial in Dluga

street where 430 people have been machined and against the wall and

standing there suddenly history became alive for me because I've read so much

and statistics and the bombs were dropped how many people were killed

etcetera but to stand there and just imagine the horror of that scene we went

away and said we've got it's like every aspect of history the

more you you find out the more you find that there is left if I have to subject

that never exhaust it is our fifth trip here and we've talk about

having to come back because we've discovered more things to look for and

and to study

I'm a retired Air Force officer and I study military history

when I was at airforce college and it's been a hobby of mine ever since and I

had heard about the Warsaw Uprising but I think like a lot of people I had a

confused Ghetto Uprising as well Poland history is is so interesting

over such a long period Poland sort of been at the cross crossroads in Europe

for so many years and I think that's giving us a bit of a sense of sympathy

for Poland Poland had a a very rough time over the centuries and we just

find that history and the way the Polish community has developed out of that

history to be fascinating. From history that we we learn and I think we rush

these things under the carpet and say we don't need to talk about this anymore

and the same sorts of things will happen again

I mean there have been genocides a number of genocides since since the

Holocaust now should we stop talking about the Holocaust because it's in the

past I think the lesson is that we learn just how horribly human beings can

behave and what dreadful leadership can can do to people

the future and what is so wonderful in Poland you see your national flag

everywhere it is a pleasure to see the Polish flags flying everywhere
