Um olhar para dentro de casa, o Brasil | MARES LIMPOS #6 - Duration: 14:17.

We are almost 210 million Brazilians.

The fifth largest population in the world, in the fifth largest country on the planet.

The largest in the southern hemisphere. Brazil also has a coastline of more than 8,500 kilometers,

which crosses 17 states and almost 400 cities.

Even in a country with such a large interior, 60% of the Brazilian population lives in coastal cities:

126 million people.

There are more people living in coastal areas of Brazil than the population of France and Italy combined.

With so much potential and so much to do in a country of continental dimensions like Brazil,

one has to keep in mind that any attitude is important.

If nothing is done, we will have more plastics than fish in the oceans by 2050.

And we Brazilians can and should take action to prevent this from happening.

And now you will know what can be done.

Clean Oceans A look inside home - Brazil

When you think about the amount of plastic that is in the oceans,

it is clear that this is a problem that affects the whole world.

Each one of us has its own responsibility.

And then when you think about the size of Brazil, you can see that our part in this is very big.

Brazil produces about 80 million metric tons of solid waste per year.

It can fill more than 200 Maracanã stadiums every year.

And almost every Brazilian municipality has some service to collect this garbage, except that more than

half of them dump this garbage in landfills.

And the worst thing is that about 40% of this waste could be recycled, but for now we only do it with 3%.

That's about 8 billion on Reais lost every year.

It's very difficult for those who don't live close to the marine fauna, as we do in conservation projects,

to understand the size of the impact of plastic on these animals.

You see a sea turtle that can live 200 or 300 years, a species with a big extinction threat, dying from plastic

ingestion, mistaking it for jellyfish that is it's natural food or to see an adult humpback whale that reproduces

in our coast, dying tangled on the fishnets that are being discarded or lost at sea, which are also a problem

of plastic pollution that we have to start facing.

But for this we must begin to make a good list of what Brazil produces, what Brazil is wasting and

what resources we have to face this problem in our 8 thousand kilometers coast.

Within our Water Resources Cabinet there is a department that works with coastal management,

which we've called Voluntary Commitment, which took effect in Brazil's voluntary commitment to the UN,

that established that Brazil, until 2019, will elaborate it's first action plan to combat marine debris.

The first step is a great public hearing, we want to hear the whole Brazilian society, the individuals with their

proposals, the companies that produce the packaging, the mayors, the association of mayors, the states,

so we need to listen to everybody and we want that in this public hearing we can capture these ideas,

this very will that we are feeling, that everyone wants to collaborate.

This kind of large-scale action may take a little time to happen and we'll not wait for the solution to come

from the government. On the contrary, it's in our actions, which sometimes begin small and that can become

gigantic and even be a reference in the whole world. And Brazil has already done this, we can do it again!

The system began in the 90's, the can industry itself began to buy what was residential waste and it rewarded

who brought the used cans for supermarkets and stimulated with prizes, like printers for schools, televisions, computers.

From then on, there was no influence of the government, there was never any influence, no subsidy, nothing.

However, there were investment in the structuring of cooperatives and especially the recycling industry itself

began to distribute points of purchase throughout Brazil, all over the national territory.

It has to do with this fight for non-pollution, for prevention, because it has a recycling model that is a closed circle.

It leaves the factory, goes to the supermarket and then goes back to the supermarket in about 60 days.

This cycle results in a recycling index of 98% of the cans sold in Brazil, which are effectively recycled.

What we would like to demonstrate, not only for PET, not only for plastic, but for all products, especially those

who compete with us, is that it is possible to imitate this model of the can, and apply this same system for all products.

Recycling is important, but it is not the only way out. Countries like Brazil need to work on several fronts

to ensure that we have a more sustainable future. And before we get to action, we need to better understand

what's going on and that's what activists, environmentalists and experts are so focused about at the moment.

When you think of coast, this region of the beach, the rocky coast, this region that is accessible by small boats,

we know a lot, especially from Rio de Janeiro to the South, which is where we have a greater concentration of

universities and research centers. Our problem is the platform and the ocean, that is, after we are away from

the coast, some 30 miles, or 60 kilometers where it starts to get unknown, because then we need boats

and the country has a big need for research vessels, it doesn't have it.

The main thing, I would say at that moment, is precisely to understand that the Brazilian part of the oceans is the

least protected, especially the most distant zone, the part of the Exclusive Economic Zone, up to 200 nautical miles.

What we want is to know how this ocean works in terms of temperature, salinity, light penetration, plankton,

how they structure the food chains. So what we are going to do is try to characterize regions of the

Brazilian ocean that have never been studied or that have been very little studied.

Now more than that, we also have the effort to protect important areas near the coast, such as mangroves.

Mangroves are essential for coastal stability, for the sustainability of fishing and for the lives of artisanal

fishermen living either inside or next of mangroves. But there are other areas, the areas that fit within the

program we call the Blue Initiative of Brazil, which is to have a strategy to adequately protect our seas, our coast, but by doing this with the society.

At the moment we are looking to build projects with partners that can attract resources at an international

level, but we also need the strong engagement of Brazilian society, we have for example, participatory

biodiversity monitoring programs, volunteers, local communities and even a sustainable use of natural

resources in areas that allow this, for example artisanal fishermen. We want to see if there are partners

interested in helping us manage protected areas.

So, in fact, we are opening up that perspective that government alone accounts for everything and engaging society.

I'm here in Itajaí for the event of Volvo Ocean Race, which is considered the most difficult sailing in the world.

Even with a public expectation of 300 thousand people, this event is characterized by sustainability.

The structure has adopted the MeuCopoEco in several drinkers and with this they estimate that they will

prevent the generation of plastic garbage of half a million disposable cups.

The first experience I had with these cups was at the World Cup in 2006 in Germany.

They didn't want the disposable ones, so what did they do? They put a bail in a quality cup.

This works so well, because when you put a value, people are financing it, so they care for it and then

you reduce the trash, right? At parties, mainly, the biggest residue comes from drinks.

At the moment you give the cup, you don't have to serve the drink right into it, right?

Because people are already coming with the cup in their hands, so then you can even rethink your bar, instead of

using cans, you serve draught beer, you work with other reusable and returnable materials as well.

Then you can get at 80% less waste.

EcoSurf is a movement that came from a group of young people concerned about the environment in which they

spent most of their lives, which were beaches. So we see the surfer as a sea sentinel.

They're people who spent a good part of their time there, in contact with the waves, in contact with nature.

So we started the movement on the coast of São Paulo, specifically in the city of Itanhaém, around the year of 99 and 2000, organizing efforts to clean the beaches.

And since then we have begun to deepen our knowledge and study and organization so that we can focus

and create more impact on how to solve the pollution problem. And that's been 18 years, and over the years,

we've been working along the Brazilian coast with EcoSurf focal points distributed in the four macro

regions of the country, as well as focal points in Europe and North Africa.

One thing that everyone needs to learn is that there is no lost case and no small attitude, we can always do more

to protect nature. And sometimes the smallest actions are those that have a huge weight, as is the case of this

EcoBarrier that, alone, has already taken more than a metric ton of rubbish from the Atuba river, near Curitiba.

And this at the initiative of one person, Diego Saldanha. A fruit seller on the streets of Curitiba, Diego is an

inspiration to everybody and as he put it on this plate here: "Activist is not the man who says that the river is dirty, it is the one that goes there and cleans the river."

I was born in this region here, today I have two children, they always asked me why we had to go away to swim,

to fish or go to a beach if we had a river close to the our house. So I wanted to show them that it's possible to do

something for the river, for nature, for our environment, so who knows, one day, in a very near future, that river

may come back to reality, as a clean river.

It's made of floating gallons, wrapped with protective nets and it holds everything floating down the river.

It also moves according to the floods of the river, when it rains too much, when the river rises it rises together.

When it's too high, it loosens itself on one side, for security reasons, because it starts to descend tree

branches, very strong these things. Then when the level goes down I pull it with the rope again and hitch on site.

We already have a base, in this one and a half year of project, that have been withdrawn more than 1,5 metric tons.

PET bottles, a stove that was already taken out here, twisted iron that was taken from the bottom of the river.

Everything I take away here is separated. The recyclables I send to the neighborhood school, which is

the school where my son studies, the school also has a project called Recycle, which also encourages students

to bring recyclable materials to school. And in the end, the school resells the materials and applies the money

for school improvements, painting the playground, buying books for the library, taking care of the

school garden. So this initiative proves that you don't need to have rivers of money to do something for our

environment, just have the will, the courage and use your head there and do it, right?

Actions like those of Diego are the ones that make all the difference. But they would not be so necessary if

everyone had done their part. And there's one very simple thing that you, me, everyone can do.

Bring your recyclable waste to a collection point like this.

This one is in Rio, but there are hundreds spread throughout Brazil. If you have a place near your house,

which you use, post it, mark with the #mareslimpos and together we will build this map.

It is clear that when our waste is not disposed properly it ends up polluting the oceans.

In the next episode we will go deeper into this problem, of how the rivers also take the trash to the seas.

And you already know, if you liked it, subscribe, give us a like and most of all, share this video!

information is everything and together we are stronger to reverse this problem.

Dunque Taranto, Crotone e Gioia Tauro, avendo questi requisiti potrebbero avere grandi prospettive

Arsenal news: Ian Wright praises one major decision Unai Emery has made - Duration: 2:46.

Cech had an unconvincing start to the season in Arsenal's 2-0 loss to Manchester City at the Emirates on Sunday

The former Chelsea man made a number of good saves, but was clearly struggling to carry out Emery's interactions of playing out from the back

In fact, Cech almost scored an own goal when attempting to sweep the ball to Shkodran Mustafi

Many questioned why Emery picked Cech ahead of Bernd Leno, who joined the club from Bayer Leverkusen for £19million this summer

But Wright says it was the right call, despite the new style not coming naturally to Cech

"I wasn't really surprised to see Petr Cech start over Leno," Wright told ESPN. "Simply because the new manager's come in and Petr Cech is a player and a great player, he's been a great goalkeeper, he's won everything there is to win

"But the fact is you would expect the manager to give him that respect for the first game of the season, give him the opportunity to try and implement the way the manager wants to play

I think that he's a great goalkeeper and he deserved that. "What we saw is there was some times in that game where it was very difficult for him

"I think that the reason why that happens is because he has transitioned from the old-school goalkeeper to now the goalkeepers that have to play as well

"When you look at Petr Cech I think he has the record for the most amount of clean sheets, but now all people talk about is footwork and passing out from the back

"What I was pleased about from Unai Emery is he gave him the opportunity to try and play

"It didn't work out for him as well as he would have liked to, but if you're not adept in that field, like I don't think Petr Cech is, you're going to cause yourself problems, and that happened

" Emery confirmed today Cech will remain in goal for Arsenal against Chelsea on Saturday

"For Saturday, the decision for me is easy," Emery said at his press conference. "Petr Cech can continue to start the match, I believe in him

Cinnabon® | Churro Frosting Sandwich | Food Review! 🌀😋👍 - Duration: 3:05.

welcome to peep this out reviews with Ian K stay frosty so I'm here at

Cinnabon today for a fast look and review at their all-new churro frosting

sandwich and considering what they're known for this is definitely something

different on their menu and upon first impression this actually doesn't look

too bad even if it's a little on the messy side but as you can see a fairly

decent swirled churro on the top they're coated with plenty of cinnamon and sugar

with lots of cream cheese frosting in the middle so it definitely looks like

it's ready to bring that decadence sweet tasting goodness to the party yeah

there is definitely no easy way to eat this guys it is dripping in cream

cheese frosting let's just dive in mmm mmm oh my god let me just break this one

down with you guys staring at this deliciousness right now if you guys are

into warm hot fresh churros and you love that classic taste that's exactly what

you're gonna get with this along with the cream cheese frosting that they're

known for over here at Cinnabon nice and hot nice and gooey I gotta say guys this

is a very decadent dessert by far and you'd expect that because Cinnabon is

freaking delicious and I have to say although the cream cheese frosting on

the regular Cinnabon for me at least doesn't really stand out as much as the

cinnamon the fact that you're getting it on churros the nice crunchiness on the

outside the chewiness in the middle you're really tasting a lot more of that

cream cheese frosting with these types of flavors as opposed to a lot of gooey

dough so I like the crunchiness of it I like too softness of this and I love the

fact that the cream cheese frosting is really becoming a highlight this is

really delicious guys really mmmm there's a lot of it too let me see if I can keep

this in focus for you here guys have a look at the swirl pattern at the bottom

of this nice crunchy goodness from that churro and a softness on the inside if I

can pull this back just a little bit hopefully you guys are seeing that there

nice quality on this guys really really decent-sized for what these are

and if you would've stretched these out you'd have pretty much a full-sized

churro in effect here with plenty of the cream cheese frosting for dipping but I

love the fact that it's in sandwich form this is just really a tasty dessert so

overall I'm gonna have to give the churro frosting sandwich here at Cinnabon a

rock-solid 9 out of 10 the only hit against this one is that it's extremely

messy so I dig the marketing they've got going here but this really needs to be

on the inside of their regular Cinnabon boxes as opposed to these paper sleeves

it's not gonna last guys get a fork if you get this one

you're gonna need plenty of napkins also so what do you guys think drop some

comments down below how much are you guys a fan of the regular cinnabon to

begin with and how excited are you to give this new churro frosting sandwich a

shot drop those comments down below and definitely let me know and with that and

before I get blown away this is Ian K closing out another episode of peep this

out and like I always say I've got brand new content every single week here on my

channel so while you stay tuned for the next review coming real soon

in the meantime stay frosty yeah it's pretty easy to stay frosty when you've

got plenty of frosting thanks to Cinnabon to help you out alright guys until

next time I'll talk to you soon

Meghan Markle shared her mantra for dealing with conflict in old blog post - Duration: 3:19.

It turns out the Duchess of Sussex has a long-held mantra when it comes to dealing with relationship breaksdowns and moving on

On her now defunct lifestyle blog, The Tig, Meghan reportedly shared a motivational quote by Portuguese author Jose Micard Teixeira about letting go of toxic relationships and learning to put yourself first

The post, which was published by Meghan in 2014 and recently unearthed by the Instagram account harry_meghan_updates, talks about not "wasting time with what displeases me or hurts me"

"I have no patience for cynacism, excessive criticism and demand of any nature," it reads

"I lost the will to please those who do not like me, to love those who do not love me, and to smile at those wgo do not smile at me

"I no longer spend a single minute in those who lie or want to manipulate." The words ring particularly true now, with the Duchess of Sussex embroiled in a bitter feud with her father, Thomas Markle, and half-sister, Samantha Markle

Meghan has reportedly not spoken to her father since just after her wedding to Prince Harry on May 19, when the prince allegedly told the 74-year-old off over those infamous staged paparazzi photos

Since then, Mr Markle has gone on to give several unflattering media interviews, the most recent of which he claimed Meghan would be "better off if [I] was dead" and that Kensington Palace had discarded him, giving him no way to contact his daughter

Meghan's half-sister also hasn't held back from commenting on her Meghan's new life — despite previously admitting they hadn't spoken in more than a decade

Since her younger sister wed Prince Harry, Ms Markle has delivered a steady stream of angry tirades directed at Meghan and the royal family on Twitter and in media interviews

She has called her "Cruella de Vil", accused her of being fake, and said she would be "responsible" if their father died

In the latest Twitter tirade, she called the royal family unchristian. "The Queen's church? You call yourself Christians (sic)? Christ would never treat our family as you have

Shame on you heartless things," Ms Markle tweeted. And in a later tweet aimed squarely at her royal sister, she wrote: "Meg does owe our father love and respect … it is the decent thing to do

Oh but wait, you're right, maybe cold, inhumane people don't owe anyone anything, but isn't that a form of sociopathy?"

Top 5 Marvel Characters that Need to be in the TV Shows - Duration: 4:26.

welcome to comics first top five where we're counting down our top five things

on any interesting subject really I'm Andrew and Marvel's Netflix series has

been better than ever lately and with the release of both Luke Cage and

Jessica Jones season 2 we've gotten some really really solid entries I hope you

guys are all caught up though cuz I'm gonna have some spoilers for you today

but don't worry before each entry I'll make sure to include a spoiler warning

we'll be counting down the top 5 Marvel characters who should be on TV if you've

enjoyed this video please like and subscribe and don't forget to leave a

comment first up Barracuda with the second season of The Punisher coming to

Netflix in early 2019 it's time to start speculating about the villains we

already have confirmation through set picks that Billy Russo will be back as

the villain jigsaw but one of my biggest hopes is will get Barracuda he was one

of my favorite Punisher villains and he's a huge guy he pushed Frank to his

absolute limits he survived a shark attack he survived an explosion and

being shot point-blank in the head finally near the end of Punisher max he

came back and Frank finished him off for good in one of the most disgusting ways

I've ever seen second moon night I feel like this one is a common request but

new night just screams Marvel Netflix wouldn't Netflix want to try and do

Batman better than DC and depending on what origin you use he's either a guy

with delusions which you can add so many trippy visuals to that or he's the

physical embodiment of an Egyptian God khonshu yeah I know I know that sounds

kind of crazy and you even have your choice of costumes too you get the

normal Cape look which for Netflix wouldn't be a problem they've updated

Daredevils costume or you could use his mr. night look which is just a white tux

and a white mass and that looks so much cooler it's third up Orson Randall

spoilers incoming though for season two of Luke age guys so cover your ears skip

ahead whatever it is you do when Danny showed up on episode 10 of Luke Cage

season 2 he was so much better than he was in defenders and iron fist he was

more natural less self-serious and he even had charisma with Luke however if

you're still not satisfied I put forth a contender Orson Randall he was way

better he channeled his cheese out of that glowing fist into bullets and while

comics version was in World War 1 I figured Netflix can find a way to update

him into the modern day come on Netflix give us cheap bullets

instead of Danny next up bull's eye at this point there's an excellent chance

we're ready getting bull's eye in daredevil season 3 is photo leaks have

seemingly confirmed the presence of a bullseye logo on the set I mean could be

something could be nothing but given that we haven't seen Daredevils our

geneticists show up yet it's definitely a crime bull's eyes comics most costume

with the hood and everything doesn't vibe well with the small screen but they

fixed a Bushmaster for Luke 8 season 2 I think we're in good hands

and lastly taskmaster I'm gonna be honest I pretty much just made this list

so I can include TASKE he's got my favorite power set of almost any villain

in comics he's not gonna be keeping up with the likes of Hulk or Captain Marvel

or anything but for our street-level heroes he's gonna be a force to be

reckoned with his power is anything he sees you do he can do better now I mean

imagine him fighting daredevil Captain America's abilities or Hawkeye's

abilities or Black Widows abilities that would be really cool in a neat little

way to tie into the movies and I mean it's all connected right Marvel right

this has been comics verse top 5 Marvel Comics characters who should be in the

TV shows I'm your host Andrew you think I forgot any drop us a comment below

Making Bender from Futurama with Glitter! | PopCraft - Duration: 3:50.

- Hi, I'm Megan Toenyes and

good news, everyone. - [Professor] Good news, everyone.

- Today, we're getting shiny. (bar chimes)

Welcome to Popcraft.

(funky music)

- [Megan] Today for Popcraft, I'm experimenting

with a new medium for the very first time,

glitter painting, which means a whole lot of glue

and a whole lot of loose, sparkly glitter.

Because today, I'm painting Bender from Futurama,

and he's gotta be extra shiny.

- [Bender] Bite my shiny, metal ass.

- [Megan] If you've heard the news

or you haven't heard the news,

either way, you should be excited because Matt Groening,

the man who blessed us with Simpsons and Futurama,

is coming out with a new, animated comedy on August 17

on Netflix called Disenchantment.

And then this time, instead of modern-day

or the sci-fi future, Disenchantment is set in the past

with all its swordplay and fantasyland glory.

Matt Groening has created some of the most memorable

cartoon characters celebrated by kids and adults alike,

although I'll admit, I was rarely allowed to watch

The Simpsons as a kid because of all the adult humor

and irresponsible consumption of doughnuts.

But, dammit, I'm an adult now, who can navigate

her own morals and eat as many doughnuts as she wants.

Let's focus back on the subject of today, though,

Bender Bending Rodriguez, originally known as

Bending Unit 22, unit number 1,729, serial number 2716057.

He's the favorite anti-hero from Futurama,

even though he's totally a pathological liar,

all-around pretty selfish, and possibly a sociopath,

or more accurately described by Leela

as an alcoholic, whoremongering, chainsmoking gambler.

- [Leela] You're both alcoholic, whoremongering,

chainsmoking gamblers?

- [Bender] No.

- [Megan] I'd love to hate Bender, or hate to love?

Is it both?

I think his awfulness and crude immaturity is hilarious

to a lot of us because we're all imperfect

and there's something so satisfying about watching

and laughing at fictional characters

be much worse than we could ever be.

The scene I'm painting today, though, is from one of the

episodes that stands out to me from the rest,

called Godfellas.

It's about a time when Bender gets lost in space

and is doomed to drift alone forever,

until he's hit by an asteroid that transfers

a tiny civilization of humanoids onto him,

who then begin to worship him.

Bender, being the selfish alcoholic that he is, though,

takes advantage of their worship

and creates one commandment, God needs booze,

and orders them to brew him large quantities of beer.

But surprise, surprise, his selfishness actually results

in them being maimed from the pollutants of the brewery

and suffering from the organized crime

the alcohol industry has brought to their community.

Bender feels bad, so he tries to grant their prayers

of wealth, rain, and sun but ends up hurting them even more,

which is why he refuses to intervene with any more

of their problems, but then the Shrimpkins end up going

to atomic war with each other

after half of them lose faith in Bender.

The Shrimpkins' civilization, then, self-exterminates.

This scene is impressively dark,

laced with a little bit of humor,

but the remorse that Bender feels for failing his people

is genuine and a really powerful moment

for the show and for Bender's character.

The show continues to explore religious issues,

when Bender meets God and ends with Bender being sent

back to earth by God, leaving him with the advice,

"When you do things right, people won't be sure

you've done anything at all."

- [Voice of God] When you do things right,

people won't be sure you've done anything at all.

- [Megan] And this hammers the message to do good

even when it might go unnoticed.

Matt Groening's works like The Simpsons and Futurama

don't seem like shows that take themselves too seriously,

'cause they don't, but there are powerful messages

to be taken away from all of them,

and I'm sure the same will go for Disenchantment.

So, whether you're already a fan of Matt Groening

or you're a fan of Broad City or The Eric Andre Show,

you're bound to super dig this new series, set in Dreamland

about a heavy-drinking princess, named Bean,

her spunkly elf sidekick, Elfo,

and her personal demon, Luci.

Thanks for watching this episode of Popcraft.

Speaking At Stanford | Inside Klientboost Episode 005 - Duration: 9:02.

Dude, first attempt!

- [Stone] Money.

- Oh my god!

- Yeah, thanks for playing.

- Thank you.

Oh my god.

It's a pig!

- Thank you.

You're welcome.

- Hey, Siri.

Hey, Siri.

- Okay.

Siri doesn't like you.

- Guess not.

We are getting some dinner at Nobu, in Malibu, because we wanted some sushi before we go

to bed tonight.

But then by the time we get to San Francisco, on this 17-hour road trip, we wouldn't be

able to make it because everything would be closed.

So we're going more local and now we're about the LA area, right now.

Dude, filming going to Nobu would be pretty cool.

- [Stone] Yeah.

- Dude, this is stupid.

Like why do we drive?

We should fly.

- [Luke] That was all you, dude.

- [Johnathan] I know.

Sorry guys.

- [Stone] Why didn't we fly out?

I know the people on camera would wanna know why.

- Ah, dude, I don't know.

Like, I thought it would be really cool to get some footage of the elephant seals on

the coast but we won't even see them in time.

- Next song.

See what's up.

How funny was it to see Leez not knowing that that was actually a band name.

Pretty funny, huh?

- We made it to Stanford.

- We're in Stanford.

We're here.

- 40 minutes later and we need our first break.

- [Luke] This isn't a thing that we usually do.

- The wait was two hours long, so we're bailing.

We could.

We could wait two hours and then fly from Burbank.

- That would be brilliant actually or just fly from LAX.

- Question, what if we spent the night here?

And we just flew up in the morning?

We decided to stay.

- Can I give these back to you and get another ticket?

- No because if I give you a ticket I need to park it again, I'll just remember your place.

- Okay, cool man.

Thank you.

- [Luke] I feel like JD's decisions over the last 48 hours, he's just very pleased with.

- I am.

But aren't you as well?

- [Luke] Dude, I'm stoked!

We didn't end up driving 6 hours, got Nobu.

- [Johnathan] What we should do, check in, go get dessert on the pier.

- [Luke] Party!

- Dude this is amazing

- Oh my god, funnel cake.

- [Luke] Okay, touche.

- It's 10:15.

There's nothing is there?

- Sold out, look at the left.

Sold out, sold out, sold out.

So we thought we were gonna be smart and

- [Luke] I believe you, it's just

- [Johnathan] and stay in LA and just take a flight tomorrow instead of driving.

- [Luke] No, you're looking at Orange County on this one.

- I know, well that's SNA change to LAX, doesn't matter.

We were taking our time getting some good dinner, getting some ice cream as you see

now and then figuring out there are no flights in the morning that are leaving.

So we're gonna have to drive to San Francisco tonight which is a rookie mistake of being

last minute.

Let's get going.

We'd have no idea that they were all sold out.

I've never seen that, actually.

- What a day.

- What a day

- We found a flight, it is at 7 A.M.

- No, are you serious, on the same Tomorrow, the date?

- Yeah

- It's correct?

- Yeah 16th?

- Yeah -Yeah Should we book it, right now?

- Yeayeah, I'm booking it right now.

- So I'm speaking to two classes around digital marketing that we do and so when I got the

opportunity I was like, "Heck yeah."

You know another person who's actually spoken at Stanford?

Steve Jobs.

So anyway, that's what we're doing and then we are gonna have some good dinner tonight.

And then we're heading home so it's just a one day trip.

It'll be fun.

- It's like, you have to be technical and then you also have to be sociable.

- Yeah

- Like that's a unicorn person.

It's like you gotta be curious and nerdy enough to care about this stuff and then have the

account management skills and that's a lot of agencies, they have a social person that

does the communication but then doesn't do the work.

- Have you ever though about that structure?

- I have and it sucks.

- Because you think at that point the person that's talking isn't in tune enough with the

account management.

- Yeah and I don't think, I think there's a level of enjoyment that an account manager

gets when they share the good news with a client and they do really well and they get

more motivation and they feel like they don't want to let them down and if you don't have

that connection then you can be like, egh, you know what I mean?

- I feel like it also could help eliminate false promises too.

I feel like if you're the social person that doesn't really understand what's going on

you're more likely to just say things that you can't actually do.

- Look at that shot.

It was really good.

Super smooth, people had a lot of questions and engagement but I was shocked at how few

people there were but it was a graduate class so it was the brightest of the brightest.

- Yeah I was so thrilled and honored and humbled to be asked to come speak at a class here.

I would do it again in a heartbeat.

It didn't take me long to prepare 'cause it's what we do everyday.

Yeah, just excited for these opportunities.

Yeah I was really impressed with the amount of questions that people had and just to figure

things out.

I'm really curious about how many things did they understand and how many things did they

let slide, because they didn't want to seem silly or not the smartest, but I hope they

get a lot of value from it.

The thing I would do different?

Get sleep the day before and figure out the travel situation ahead of time.

That would be the best thing.

- Yeah so I don't know what to say.

I'm really tired.

Dude I'm dead right now.

I normally have all the things to say and I'm just like lost right now.

But yeah I met,

with our contacts here.

It was a lot of fun, went over performance for last quarter.

There were a few things that were a little bit down we need to work on, but overall they're

pretty happy with their performance.

I think we came away with some good strategies for how we can actually generate them more

admitted people into their programs.

- Aw man I've been.

Three hours of sleep and.

It's like my apple watch batteries is on it's last legs right now.

It just hasn't progressed, hasn't gotten better.

Coffee doesn't work for me.

It's not a good look.

Tired, but I'm very happy with the outcome of the day and it was very succesful.

Right?

MSC Seaside Caribbean Cruise Vlog and Ship Tour - Duration: 29:14.

Today's episode is sponsored by CruiseLine.com where you can find reviews

tips and photos from real everyday cruisers

good morning it is almost noon and it is our first Sea

day on board MSC seaside you know the sign of a good vacation is we do very

little before noon on a sea day but the truth of the matter is we're getting use

to that time change we're from the west coast so we're three hours behind and

we've had to kind of adjust really quickly to that time change so that's

really more the reason why we're just sort of up and Adam now so our plan for

today is to go have lunch at butchers cut I did not know until I boarded the

ship that they offer brunch and lunch so we made a reservation yesterday for noon

and we're getting ready to head over there yesterday was an awesome

fun-filled action-packed day and I think today we're going to try to keep it a

little bit more mellow and just see where the day takes us so after lunch

our son wants to check out the kids center and then we need to register our

credit card that is something unique about MSC Cruises is that you actually

ready to register credit card once you get onboard and a little kiosk so we

will be sure to show you all how that is done and then tonight is formal night so

we're excited for that really thrilled to be experiencing the main dining room

for the first time we have late dining very late dining 9:30 p.m. it appears

that they have three dining times on this ship 5:30 7:30 and 9:30 and we're

late we did book this cruise quite late so that's probably why we ended up with

out later time but it works great for us because that is actually 6:30 Pacific

time so our dinner schedule and our kind of biological clocks will work perfect

for that so want to tell you guys a little bit about our stateroom we are on

a deck 10 balcony cabin I believe this is a fantastic a level balcony balcony

10 to 4 or 5 it's a beautiful cabin we'll talk a lot more about the cabin

and our ship tour and later on in different vlogs but something that we're

really enjoying is this really oversized and fully shaded balcony out here it's

beautiful couple of things that I want to share with you guys that I love about

the ship that I found out so far the coffee the coffee the coffee even the

coffee in the buffet is so good and you can get a nice proper beautiful ceramic

mug to drink your coffee out of it is so good the coffee everywhere is amazing

Venki the chocolate store oh you guys so good we went there last night at the end

of the night before bed and the hot chocolate was just absolutely exquisite

loving that I'm also loving if they have hand-washing stations at the entrance of

the buffet super super cool went out and scoped out the buffet this morning and I

saw those everywhere as well as hand sanitizers right on the inside which I

don't really use those I like the traditional hand washing areas that is

so great the staff and crew have been very friendly so far super lively and

fun there's already a lot going on I could totally hear it going off at the

pool deck right now great like Latin music lots of people shouting and

screaming so it sounds like it's fun beautiful sunny weather today so we're

going to go see what kind of see day fun we can have

over there any display hi how are you hi booth yes we have a new reservation

today

we have just discovered a little seed a secret the brunch / lunch tour of a

brunch or breakfast tea items at butcher's cut is awesome and it was so

quiet in there so I talked to the waiter really where is everybody as well people

don't really understand that we have this available so the only dude on see

days so on this cruise there's only two opportunities would be the first sea day

and the last C day definitely an excellent way to start the day in a calm

quiet atmosphere with really top-notch service I had a Mediterranean on line at

my husband had a sandwich Paul lives with breakfast lemony and our son had a

hamburger and what they do with the kids is they have a twelve dollar set price

meal where they get a main verse aside and a dessert so he got a hamburger with

mashed potatoes and then he got some carrots a fruit salad and he had a

roofer closed for dessert which was really tasty very high-quality ice

creams was really nice experience if you're sailing on msec and messy

seaside oh my goodness there's so many S's in there you definitely do not pass

up this tip because it is so trinkle and nice or off to explore the kids center

for the first time and we okay okay family fun come to the core and then you

don't know if it'll work long today okay so report eleven and family fun to four

so on the first seed a the kids club is open from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. and

then they take a three-hour break in the middle of the day and then they're

reopening at four to eleven and the kids have the option to go to dinner with

their group so right now we are in the lego pirates area I believe and this is

the area that our son will be enjoying so this is for seven to eleven year olds

they have really cool things right now my son is checking out the foosball

table and it looks like they have video game consoles computers and everything

is totally cool in this Lego theming so let's take a look around

so I realized today that yesterday on embarkation day we did not walk you

around our stateroom so I would like to show you a little look around the room

today but please know that a formal room tour is coming and our traditional how I

organize my cabin video is also coming so I'm not gonna go in a huge amount of

detail I just want to give you a first look this is cabin ten to four or five

which is a balcony cabin normally a fantastic a balcony on deck 10 it's a

really quiet sort of aft center aft located cabin here on deck 10 it's a

very very good location because it has staterooms both above and below so

really quiet corridor all right I'm going to flip you around and we're going

to take a look at the cabin configuration we are going to start with

the best part of this room which is the balcony I'm gonna give you a look

through the doors I'm not going to open up the doors because we are in the

Caribbean and if I do that we are going to have a very steamy camera so as you

can see it's a very spacious balcony we have two chairs and one very nice little

footstool /table alright panning around now we're gonna take a look at the

vanity and sort of minibar area here's a nice look at that and remember we're

gonna give you a full tour of everything later this is the minibar quick glance

we'll come back to it later of course in our full room tour alright there is a

stool right there and a drawer where we're keeping a lot of miscellaneous

stuff the hairdryer is also in there this is where we keep all of our

charging stuff there is a very nice phone here which always shows you the

time which is very handy when you have time zone changes and we've got some

little lights which is there we've got our regular cables here and there's more

USB charging over by the beds as well I love these little inset shelf areas I

think they're awesome this is where we're keeping our daily programs my

itinerary and this is where we have the spa information room service and

breakfast order cards which I want to tell you about more later nice

flat-screen TV and let's take a quick wide look at the bed area

the bed has individual lamps on the side and again USB right there for charging

so you can move this table a little bit closer if you wanted to have a device on

it and these little storage cubicles are really handy those are actually our

bathrobes okay now for one of the coolest parts of the room look at what

the sofa converts into you guys isn't this cool my son loves it he has like a

little TV station up top and a bed on the bottom and a ladder he absolutely

love this setup I think it's so cool how the couch kind of lifts up and a bed is

underneath okay I'm going to pan around and show you some other areas of the

room all right we're gonna go ahead and save the closet tour for the full room

tour I'm not going to open it up so stay tuned for that okay on to the other side

of the room all right you guys there is nothing better than having a beautiful

full-length mirror on a cruise and this one is awesome as you can see we have

our little grab and go station here I brought magnetic hooks with me which

will link to in the description below and we are making a little grab and go

station with hats and my purse and over here you can see the little buttons that

you depress to alert your staterooms to err to what your needs are so this is

the do not disturb and this is the makeup room and just outside the door

out there it will put the little lights on for him that indicate which of those

you need and this is the room a key inserted into the power thing that

powers the room so if you take your room card out you will lose light and power

but that is what those handy bracelets are for that we are wearing here so we

don't really need our room parts unless we are getting off the ship okay here we

have the thermostat pretty standard stuff and I will show you the other side

of the bed and then after this we're gonna go take a quick look at the

restroom another nice side table with some storage we really needed it on this

cruise you definitely need all the storage you can get in these rooms

sorry about the wobble there I've got my alarm clock my sleep mask and a bath

towel okay let's take a quick look at the bathroom

all right so I've got my jewelry and toiletries there which will go into more

detail on a little bit later here's a quick look at the shower and they do

have a traditional drying rope what do you call those a drying line and

adjustable showerhead shampoo conditioner and some good temperature

controls really hot water and then a little foot stool thingy down there I

don't know what that's for maybe just maybe that is for ladies and they shave

their legs or something like that I'm not really sure anyway we've got a

couple of shelves here on bathroom mirror and a little bit more storage

under there which I want to tell you more about later because we are going to

outline that a little bit better in our room tour so yeah this is the cabin just

wanted to give you a quick look it's been perfectly sufficient for our needs

on this cruise it's good for a 7-night cruise I can see how if you were on like

a transatlantic or a 14 night cruise you might need a little bit more storage but

for our needs it's just been just fine so hope you've enjoyed this peek around

we're gonna go out and check out our Sun who we dropped off in the kid center and

see how he is doing and then run the ship

okay it's our first experience on the Bridge of Sighs here we go

these elevators are amazing is to the AFT elevators that go from the bridge of

size which is right behind me right there all the way down to I think it's

the Miami Beach pull it on my shirt anyway I got my biceps hello sweetheart

how are you and let's go check it out

this is for we need to be ok here we go Dec 8 a.m. it's formal night by the way

people are dressed up so beautifully so much elegant

I've even see little kids wearing a sport jacket 16 all kinds of combination

it's just so much Flair tonight on formal night alright here we go

right I think we need to go down one more level though sweetheart okay

here we are totally apt on the ship we just enjoyed the sunset for the Bridge

of Sighs which is pretty much the quintessential MSC experience you have

to do it someone from guest services kept telling us I can go to the Bridge

of Sighs if you've gone to the Bridge of Sighs like now we have it just like just

trust me on this one and I'm so glad that we did so we are going to enjoy the

wake view here for a few more moments and then we're going to go grab our

first gelato yes

welcome to thank e we are going to try to get some jello

we have a baby cup of the chairman please

which one of the coffee flavors in the straw

we have these complicated

what flavor you want

okay I'm gonna try the tiramisu we are going into the arcade area and my son

really wants to play air hockey so hopefully their hockey area is available

it's all kind of you this one area where you have the f1 simulator you have the

what's together big palms I don't even remember the FC theater the bowling

alley the arcade and then all that all kind of runs up against the disco so

let's go check and see if air hockey is available looks like he has some

competition is it really dying to get his hands on this the whole time

it's about 10:15 and we've just finished our dinner and dessert and for my son a

second dessert you really like the brownie so he ordered another one so

tonight started off a little bit chaotic in the diner

hello mr. Browdy

a little bit chaotic you think this is a more busy night in the dining room our

server was definitely you can tell he was really feeling it but as we

progressed through the evening and talked to him a little bit more he

really warmed up to us it was very sweet guy and we got the opportunity to talk

with him a little bit more about the ship and about his life in the

Philippines and just the overall MSC experience and I'm really glad that he

took the time to open up to us after it kind of burned down a little bit the

food was good we had very nice kind of gala evening meal the desserts were very

delicious I had the cheese plate I liked it very much

my son had coconut tapioca and my husband had a brownie stack that was so

good that he actually ordered a second one who's my son wasn't

loved it so proof that t-bone accrues you can always order more than one of

something that you like so we are off to go see if maybe just maybe we can close

our evening with some chocolate and if we have time we're going to try to do a

little bit short a packing for our day in Jamaica tomorrow

chocolate martini is like allegis at thank you so I had to come try one but

first I would say I would have come down or anything because I mean the siren

song of this Cruise we keep being drawn to all this incredible chocolate and

coffee everywhere it is so good it's such a treat

it's so hard to describe until you actually experience it so let's try the

famous Bank me chocolate martini feels or shavings on top together

yes don't do it

totally addictive although Martinez on the ship are served in these boxes that

are and these big glass spaces which I

absolutely love I don't like to bug my martini glasses gonna topple over

yeah this is definitely the best way to close out the night we still have to get

packed for Jamaica tomorrow people who drink my chocolate martini my

sons having some strawberry gelato and then it's off to prep our shorty bag

for the big day you know Torrio Cheers in preparation for tomorrow's big shor

day we are going to place our breakfast order so you hang this little room what

do you call this door hanger outside of the door before 2 a.m. and this is the

most comprehensive room service breakfast menu I have ever seen so some

of it is complimentary you have your standard complimentary continental

breakfast with juices coffee tea milk pastries breads jams all of that stuff

and even yogurt and cereal fruit plates all that good stuff but what I like the

most and what I'm so stoked about because I am NOT a carbohydrate person

in the morning I like my proteins and my veggies is that they have a full

American breakfast it does cost 795 but I do not care for convenience and not

having to schlep to the buffet before going ashore having my coffee delivered

and getting myself an omelet I'm going to pay 795 so the selection here for the

795 surcharge American breakfast is your choice of eggs they have scrambled

sunny-side up over easy over medium well done or you can get omelettes you have

plain or ham and cheese choices they also have pancakes waffles and side

orders so I'm assuming you can get whatever you want from this list it

doesn't say pick one thing from each section it just basically says American

breakfast 795 so I'm going to try to figure out how it works and how you put

in the quantities but I'm was like totally pleasantly surprised when I

opened up the breakfast order menu but it is late and we still need to pack for

our Shore day so let's get to that right now

I was trying to do the math on how long it's been since I've been did you make

it and I want to say it's like 10 to 12 years so needless to say I'm really

curious and excited to go back to Ocho Rios so tomorrow we are going on a tour

with Pete Taylor and Suns tours to the cool blue hole and

to do some white river tubing really excited kind of a tricky excursion

because it's very active we'll be getting in and out of the water will be

floating on a river may be jumping in waterfalls and things like that but at

the same time you have to wear dry clothes off the ship so I want to go

over what we're gonna pack in our shore day bag we're all back in our room in

our jammies and getting ready to go to bed so this is kind of my last step

before I go to bed II before we sign off on today's sea day vlog for you make

sure that you catch our vlog tomorrow on our experience and our adventure in

Jamaica it's gonna be a fun one it's our first short day on this MSc

seaside cruise we're really excited so let's get right into it so I'm going to

start with the bags that we're taking I am going to be carrying my mia tui Alex

folding travel bag this bag is awesome it folds into this little square that's

why I packed it because we might carry-on only for this cruise I

definitely needed something small so this is gonna be back that I carry and

I'm going to have my husband carry this did you know that how do you be carrying

this bag so this is our travel on folding antitheft backpack this is an

awesome little backpack very very very lightweight and this has a nice little

container a little space in the side of mesh area for our beverages so I'll let

you know what's going to be going in his bags and I'm not exactly sure what's

going to be distributed where but we've I have to figure that out in the morning

so first thing I want to go over is the confirmation of our tour so I have that

printed off and that along with my wallet are gonna be some of the most

important things that we need cash credit cards things like that I think

I'm gonna go ahead and take my whole wallet with me tomorrow because I think

we'll have a secure place to store it the whole time

as far as gear is concerned we're keeping it really simple and tomorrow

our little GoPro is going with us is that the five or the six honey five okay

so this is the GoPro five this is a floating bobber that we like to use

we're also going to be taking this extendable GoPro accessory for one more

tubing we can kind of put the camera out like that or jumping off of the cliff to

go into the waterfall whatever it may be I felt like we needed a waterproof

extender for the GoPro so that is going with us I also have a GoPro head mount I

will spare you the details on how ridiculous this looks when you put it on

but it goes over your head and in case we can't use any GoPro accessories or if

we have a helmet or something like that this is going with us I'm not really

sure what we're gonna need but we're trying to keep it light that way also

taking my iphone not only for safety purposes but to take photos the video

because it does an incredible job of taking photos and videos I have a little

baggie here is a black bag with tissue and hand sanitizing wipes always a good

thing to have an extra baggie with you a ziplock bag just in case you need to pop

something in there like a snack or something else that I don't know is

food-related or wet or that you just don't want to get all over your bag

sunscreen facial sunscreen lip gloss portable charger for my iPhone which

I'll get a cable for soon these are our sunglasses for the whole family

this is a snack because Neer's going ashore and you're doing something active

who knows when you're gonna get lunch so these little peanuts out of our minibar

so funny we're going with us and then of course a nice bottle of water I'm just

taking one for the three of us I'm sure there'll be other opportunities to buy

water and my son's goggles now I'm not showing you all of our tennis shoes and

the clothes that we're wearing I'm just telling you kind of what the change of

clothes types of things are and the little gear necessities are that I'm

putting in a bag so this is kind of an interesting excursion because I think

I'm going to need two outfits I'll show you the outfit that I am wearing

tomorrow a simple white beach cover-up in a swimsuit or what I'm going to start

with and then I'm actually packing a rash guard for when we're river tubing

just in case I'm really exposed to the Sun because I burn really fast and I'm

taking a little swim skirt I think sometimes it's nice for active

excursions to have something like this so you feel a little bit more modest I

don't really know if I want to be floating down the river in my bikini so

we'll see what happens it seems like you'd be kind of a nice thing to have

but maybe I'll just wear my swimsuit I'm not sure but I brought it along on this

trip because it's something that I have and I thought I might want to try also

taking my beautiful wander wet bag this is a wet a swimsuit bag that I will link

to in the description below if I forget to do that just give me a comment and I

will certainly get it for you but this is where we put our wet swimsuits after

our excursion to put it back in our bag and keep all the wetness away and then

to beach towels hopefully you guys I haven't forgotten

anything is so late right now it is midnight and we really

have to be off the ship in like nine and a half hours so we are going to go to

bed and say goodnight to our first C day on msec sigh it's been such a fun action

field day I think we all finally kind of feel like we're on vacation it takes a

while on a cruise to really wind down it really does it takes a while for us

anywhere from 1 to 3 days for us to really get into that groove and feel

like we're relaxing but we're into it we're excited I think I've had my share

of chocolate and sugar and delicious cocktails today so really looking

forward to a good night's rest and a fun day in Jamaica tomorrow make sure that

you follow along and the rest of this series of vlogs guys follow us on social

media cruisetipstv and Instagram Facebook and Twitter and until tomorrow

we'll see you on the high seas bye
