Bitcoin: The protocol and digital money

Bitcoin is a software

that allows thousands of computers

scattered around the world to communicate over the Internet,

vote and reach consensus on a given topic,

without central authority and in a completely distributed way.

It is a complex problem

in which isolated entities have to vote

and then act based on

what they believe to be the overall consensus

by using unreliable communication channels.

In computer science, it is called

the "Byzantine Generals' Problem".

Several generals, each with their own army,

surround a village and have to decide whether to attack or not.

The operation is successful if all attack at the same time,

otherwise it is better to retreat.

The generals are far away from each other,

they could have personal interests

and communicate by using messengers

who could in turn be corrupted

or even get lost.

During the 2008 economic crisis,

Satoshi Nakamoto presented an elegant game-theoretical solution to this problem,

in which he assigns a series of incentives

and economic sanctions to all participants.

Each of whom contributes

to maintaining the system reliable and honest.

Satoshi also proposes the first real application:

a digital currency that does not require central authorities.

This was the birth of Bitcoin, an "open source" software project.

In this case, the generals are the computers

that must reach a consensus

on the validity of the transactions and keep track

of each participant's account balance.

These computers use Internet as unreliable communication system.

The Bitcoin protocol creates a layer over the Internet

that allows new types of applications to be developed,

such as the transfer of value and other unique digital assets

over the Internet without the need of central authorities.

Therefore, when we hear about Bitcoin

in 99% of the time

we refer to one of its applications,

the digital currency!

But the innovation of Bitcoin is above all the protocol

that governs the communications among thousands of computers

to reach a decentralized consensus.

The Secret that Gives this Dodge Ram 500 Horsepower - V10 Viper Engine - Duration: 5:35.

rev up your engines, it's time for show-off Sunday, where

everyone has a chance to show off their own car, and here's this week's winner,

this is my 2004 Dodge Ram srt10, it has the 8.3 liter Viper engine and the same

6-speed manual transmission, it's rated a 500 horsepower and over 500 pound feet

of torque, capable of 0 to 16 in 4.9 seconds, quarter-mile in 13.3 seconds, it has a

record top speed of 15.4 miles per hour

the Ram srt10 was in production from 2004 to 2006 with only a little over

10,000 models being made, so they are quite hard to come by

I was actually never interested in buying one of these trucks, but one day

when I drove by a dealership and they had it out in the front I just kind of

fell in love with it and I knew I had to buy it, take a look at the inside, it's

not too much different from your regular Ram truck but it is fully loaded with

all the options you could have gotten, see it has heavily bolstered seats with

leather and suede accenting, the truck came with the navigation system in a premium

Infiniti audio system with 8 speakers and a factory 8-inch subwoofer, they

wanted to give it a lot of aspects of the Viper, so this is the same exact

shift knob you'd have from a Viper, also you have your engine start button

right here, steering wheel is different so they really wanted to make it seem

like you were in a premium vehicle and they did a decent job with it I think

start it up here,

very loud and that's the sound it never gets old to me, so one thing people say

about this truck is, oh you know it's not a real truck

you can't haul anything in it and I get I get where they're coming from, you know

it's not something you're gonna go pick up lumber for the job site or anything

but it can still haul, you know you might see the spoiler as kind of a

hinderance gets in the way and I get it, but underneath the bed rails here on

either side it's just two 10 millimeter bolts you can take the spoiler off in

two minutes really, and then that leaves you with a six and a half foot bed and I

believe this truck has a payload capacity of about 1,200 pounds, which

it's not great for a full-size truck, but considering this full-size truck and go

154 miles per hour, I think it's kind of best of both worlds if you really think

about it, and for my purposes 1,200 pounds payload capacity is definitely

enough, I don't use a truck often, but it's nice to have one if you need it, so

now I'm gonna show you the best part of the truck, open up the hood to reveal the

8.3 liter v10 Viper engine, looks just like it you see right there and a valve

cover, Viper, the motor is really stock you know personally I haven't found the need

to add any power to it, it's got this aftermarket Volant cold air intake I did

not put that on, I think it's been on here for a while

done by a previous owner, I like the intake though because it uses

the hood scoop, see right here because normally stock this is just a you know a

fake hood scoop and I'm not really a fan of that, and then I have a BBK throttle

body which gives you a little bit of power but nothing really worth talking

about that much, yeah I tried to keep it very clean and it's just a beautiful

engine to look, I haven't really done any mods to it like I said you know I've

only had the truck for about five months now and I plan on keeping it for a long

time, so you know the time will come, the first thing I did was powder coating

these wheels black, it costs me about $700 it was worth every penny to get it

done, because it just has aluminum colored wheels stock and it just

does not look very good, this is the best thing I could have done for the truck

I'm a big fan of black wheels on most vehicles I think especially with the red

so the truck is a real big head turner it's very loud too so that probably

helps, but yeah people always asking me about it and I love to answer questions

because I feel like a lot of people just don't know what this is, you know they

were pretty rare and especially to see them now just something you do not see a

lot at all, so I never mind when people ask me about

evolved over time and how you can fit your niche inside of that new e-commerce

space that there is so back in the day the only place that you relative sell

things was on like a eBay or an Amazon you know a lot of us old-timers that

have been marketing online for a long time we've evolved with you know the

time so selling on eBay is kind of a thing of the past

I still sell on ebay you can still do drop shipping on ebay it's super simple

to get stuff I do have videos for how to get started with selling on ebay so I'm

not gonna spend too much time on that I'm gonna put it up here and the cards

don't know what size it's gonna be on but I just want to make sure that you

know that people do still several Emma's are on the eBay now Amazon is a

different story because the way Amazon has evolved is you can actually do

fulfilling my Amazon I have a lot of videos about fulfilling by Amazon I'll

put them up here as well but fulfill my Amazon is kind of the newer wave because

it takes off a lot of your day to day activities one of the biggest problems

that I had with e-commerce was I've always had a full-time job and when you

have a store Amazon store and it's popping you know you have a lot of time

that you have to spend packaging items sending them out you know processing

orders and it takes a lot of time out of your day and if you're not doing it

full-time you can get behind and once you get

behind it's hard to catch up so that was one of my biggest gripes with Amazon so

that's why I switched over to fulfilling my Amazon Fulfillment Emma's on you can

actually send a bulk amount of items to Amazon and they will sell them for you

so it makes it easy because you can have items that you want to sale and you can

just send them to Amazon Amazon to package them with Amazon Prime

everybody's gonna be on Prime for the most part and they're gonna want that

free two-day shipping so when you send it to Amazon you know they're gonna get

their items in two days and you're never gonna have a late shipment you you're

not going to deal with it they also deal with the customer service of it all this

can be a positive and a negative so my experience with film by Amazon and the

a-to-z guarantee is that Amazon is always going to give a refund so what

that means said if you have a lot of items that are from Aliexpress of

Alibaba or Chinese you know made things they sometimes have a bad batch and you

really don't know unless you go through and inspect each and every one of them

before you send them to Amazon if it's a bad batch so if you get an item and you

you know you buy 100 or more thousand of them and it's a bad bet you send it to

Amazon and a lot of people will return them m's I'm just gonna return them and

they're gonna get them back and then they're gonna they're gonna want you to

get them sent back which mean you have to pay for shipping to get them sent

back to you or they will destroy them for feet so they don't even destroy them

for free they actually charge you to destroy the item so it you know it's

kind of hit or miss with it and you just gotta make sure that you go through and

do your quality control on your items before you send them because Amazon like

I said it will automatically if somebody says there's issue with the item they're

gonna automatically just tell them to return it sometimes they won't even tell

them returns they'll just let them keep it and you just have to absorb the cost

of it so you just really need to make sure that you are leery about

purchasing items in bulk unless you've tested the quality of the items so

moving forward with the evolution of it all one of the bigger things that is

like you know 2018-2019 it's gonna be influencer marketing now if you follow

me you know that I talk a lot about influencer marketing because that's like

the new way that's the new thing and the Philly uh influencer marketing is

basically influencers that have a following and use that following to make

sales and there's a different ways that you can do this one of the ways that I

do this is I have a personal page on Instagram see they love lady you follow

me on there and I don't sell a lot of stuff in my TJ Lovelady instagram page

now what I have done is I've built influencer pages so these pages are

niche websites or nice niche pages that will attract people in a certain area

and then once you attract people in that certain area they follow your page

they're like your content you know they engage they comment like share it what

people take people in the post look at your stories reply to your stories

different things like they're they're more prone or more apt to purchase

things within that niche so one of my pages that I have is a pets page and so

I made this piss Instagram page and I started building it and I built it over

time and I actually built it autonomously I guess it's the word I

want to want to use so I excited a program it's called Jarvey and I will be

doing a video about setting up Jarvey and what it does if you want to see a

video about how to build an Instagram page just in the background and it

builds and builds up over time and you want to touch it or do anything to it

just hit that subscribe button and put a like on this video and I'm loving making

that video in here in a few weeks but what this Jarvis program does is run on

my computer all day long and I've set up certain parameters and what it will do

is it'll go ahead and purchase purchase it'll go ahead

and like videos and pictures of people and also auto follow people and once you

follow people and you like the pictures they see that you like the pitches they

see that you followed them and they're more problem to come to your page so

they're like your content they're gonna follow you back they're gonna engaging

your page and it just builds and builds and builds so once you get a page like

that up to 10,000 20,000 followers which doesn't take as long as you probably

would think it's gonna take you can actually sell products to these people

of that like your page so with a niche like pets it's so easy to find

pet products that you can sing you can dropship to those those people or you

can even create what I plan on doing with my pets page is creating an actual

line of pet products so it's going to be a branded pet products line based on

that page that I made on Instagram so this is one thing that I'm doing I'm

experimenting with different other niches within Instagram so I've got this

program allows you to build ten pages at one time and it's like $19 a month so

it's completely awesome because you can build pages and not necessarily use the

pages for anything monetarily at the moment but once it builds to a certain

level and you get that trust with people that I've actually purchased from you so

that's kind of how ecommerce has evolved and if you are trying to get into

e-commerce right now the easiest thing for you to do is to probably start

selling something so I recommend starting on eBay and kind of get your

feet wet with settlement stuff doing drop shipping and I have a video about

how to set up a drop shipping it's not hard but once you start selling things

you'll see how easy it is you'll see the process and then you can move over into

these other areas such as through my Amazon or influencer marketing so that's

Cleft Lip Repair - Surgical Markings - Duration: 2:56.

Demonstrated in this animation is a variation of the Millard rotation advancement repair

to close a left complete cleft lip.

The Millard repair is the most common technique for cleft lip closure.

Prior to making the first incision, the lip is first marked to properly plan incision

placement.

Points 1 are the edge of the lip commissure on both sides.

Points 2 and 4 mark the lateral edges of the cupid's bow.

Point 3 is the midpoint of the cupid's bow.

Points 7 are the lateral aspect of the lateral nasal ala.

Point 5 is placed such that the distance between points 7 and 5 is equidistant to the length

between 7-2.

The distance between 1-2 and 1-5 should be approximately equivalent.

Point 8 is made 3/5 of the distance across the columella.

Point 6 is the the most superior and medial aspect of lip skin available

Point 9 is variable depending on how much additional length is needed to drop the lip

down for aligned closure.

Keep in mind that the distance connecting 4-8-9 is slightly longer than 5-6 as the rotation

flap never unfurls perfectly straight.

In this animation, you will see that the M and L lip flaps being discarded though in

actuality these will be used to help with mucosal lining during closure.

The red lines drawn here denote the planned incisions based on these markings.

The back cut along the columellar is variable depending on how much additional length is

needed to drop the lip down for aligned and symmetric closure.

Once the skin incisions have been made and skin flaps undermined, the orbicularis muscle

is detached on both sides from the nasal sill region.

Once freed, the muscle layers are carefully and precisely closed with special emphasis

along the white roll.

The lateral cleft side flap is an advancement flap while the medial non-cleft side is effectively

a rotational flap.

Soon there will be the second edition of the Semilac Nail Art Championship.

It's a good moment to remind yourself

what the first edition of this prestigious event looked like!

Personally, I was delighted looking at the work of such talented participants,

their high level of skills and commitment.

One of the brightest is with me today:

3rd place winner in the hybrid manicure category,

and currently the instructor of Semilac Academy - Aleksandra Kaczmarek.

Yes, already an instructor.

It's hard for me to believe it!

As you can see, it's worth fighting for dreams come true!

If you are anxious that you wouldn't cope with stress -

what the championship looks like from the inside out!

We will also give you some valuable tips and tricks,

so that you can fully present your talent,

have fun by the way,

For me, this decision turned out to be a breakthrough in my life!

What prompted you to take part in the Championships?

Rivalry.

It is an inseparable element of my life.

Since I was very young I competed in competitions, mainly sports.

It can be said that I was somehow prepared for competition,

or judgement of my actions by other people.

Semilac announced the Championships around the New Year.

At the same time, on the Instagram profile of Semilac

a picture of the stylization I made has appeared.

It got a huge number of likes and comments.

It was an incentive for me to make the decision to start.

Of course I had a lot of doubts.

Nail stylization was my hobby.

Every day I worked at school as a physical education teacher.

I thought I did not have a chance with people who deal with it professionally.

But my sports spirit woke up again and said:

"If you do not try, you will never find out.. Take a chance. "

I believe that nothing happens by chance.

I had a premonition,

that the publication of my work on Instagram at the time of registration for the championship

was a sign and fate wants me to be on it.

I do not conceal that the prospect of winning the prize,

also was an additional mobilization.

PLN 20,000 is really a lot.

Okay, how do you remember this day?

Did stress accompany you?

Of course!

When I saw all the participants in the room,

their huge boxes, sets of brushes and other accessories,

I started to wonder what I was doing there

with my one decoration brush

and foil of a polishing block serving as a holder.

Fortunately, stress has passed

after inserting the first painted nail into the lamp.

I thought to myself: "Do it as always, and it will be good."

Another dose of emotions accompanied me,

as well as my model while waiting for the assessment of the stylization.

And this time was quite long, because our number was the last one.

During the second category, i.e. Nail Art, the stress was much smaller,

I knew it was not my favourite.

When the results were announced,

I did not even dare to dream that I would hear my name.

But when heard it read out,

I looked around the room looking for another Aleksandra Kaczmarek.

As it has already occurred to me that it's me,

I can't remember when I enjoyed myself like that.

I can't tell you anything more about this moment,

because of all these emotions, I can not remember much.

I will say only that it was a total surprise and unearthly euphoria.

Ola, how did you prepare for the championships?

Maybe you have some advice and tips for girls,

who would like to take part?

Firstly, You should take care

of proper packing of all necessary Semilac products

for making a hybrid manicure.

The organizer provides a table, two chairs and access to electricity.

And the rest?

As a total layman in this matter, my preparation was very intuitive.

Despite the fact that participation in both categories

Nail Art and hybrid manicure, is mandatory,

I put a pressure on one of them.

I belong to these more technical stylists,

that's why I focused on hybrid manicure.

I started preparations from searching for a model.

When we choose her, we should take notice of

model's hand to be slim, had nice skin

and most of all her nails had a beautiful, long plate.

It is also important that before the championships

we shuould make two or three designs on our model,

to get to know her nails, skins.

Before the start of the championships we should prepare the nails

i.e. develop a shape and cut out the skins.

It is not allowed to roughen the tile.

In the second category, it's the best to prelong the nails up to 3 cm.

Besides that the model give us her hands and nails,

on this day is also a great support for us -

she is a person who will check if everything is in the position.

Under stress, you can forget about getting something out of the box,

and during the competition picking out is strictly prohibited.

Her task is also to control time,

that's why I recommend to have a traditional watch on the table.

Remember that the model's hands and wrists

should be devoid of decorations and characteristic signs

such as tattoos, birthmarks and scars,

which enable identification of the model during the jury's assessment.

When it comes to preparing for competition,

It's good to do your nails at home in regular time.

Okay, and when it comes to your preparation for the Nail Art

tell me if it was totally spontaneous

Did you a plan the styling?

At the beginning there was a plan to figure out something on the spot.

However, I quickly changed my mind

and I also wanted to take this competition seriously.

I analyzed the topic.

A certain idea was born in my head and I transferred it to nail tips.

It's good to train our styling a few times

on tips or model,

to not to face a problem at the competition.

Ola, participation in the championships basically has changed your life ,

now you are the Instructor of the Semilac Academy!

It's a life revolution!

A week after the championship, I received a phone call with an interview invitation ,

where my potential was noticed and I was offered a job at the Semilac Academy.

I am very happy,

that I can develop my skills here and pass them on the others.

Eh, and it got very sentimental,

but we have to slowly get back to reality.

Which also is colorful!

Finally, the next edition of the Championship is coming!

Semilac Nail Art Championship

will take place on September 9th at the Andersia Hotel in Poznań.

As before, there are two categories.

The first one is french stylization on one hand.

You have 45 minutes to perform it.

You choose the color of the french yourself.

The second category is flat or 3D decoration

connected with the theme: "Semilac around the world".

Here the time is twice as long.

Decorating the second hand in this category is scheduled for 90 minutes.

In the case of french,

it must be made on a natural nail plate,

while nails for Nail Art category can be extended up to 3cm.

Please note that taking part in the championships

means participation in two competitions,

the opportunity to get two Diamond Master of Semilac titles

and the reward of PLN 10 000.

The prize pool is PLN 20,000.

Absolutely no one will come out with an empty hand,

each participant and model will receive a giftpack.

And as you can see in my example,

by taking part in the championships you can win even more!

Every adult person can participate in the championship.
